"this is just fanart" disclaimer cause I feel the need to make that super obvious now LMAO, but! little WH doodles from recent!
[Image 1 ID: A black-and-white Welcome Home fan-comic. It stars Julie Joyful (a "rainbow monster" puppet that looks like a Muppet girl with noodly limbs, little nub horns, and long hair styled in a high ponytail, wearing a dress with a hoop skirt and puffy sleeves and a scarf tied in a bow), Frank Frankly (a puppet with a long, cylindrical body, long nose, thick eyebrows, black hair with a middle part, and a comically exaggerated frown, wearing a plaid vest and butterfly-shaped bow-tie), and Eddie Dear (a mailman puppet with a heavyset-yet-soft build, square jaw, thick eyebrows and long eyelashes, wearing a mailman's uniform with a parcel bag and rainbow tie).
The first panel shows Julie and Frank talking, with Frank's back to the viewer. Julie, smiling smugly and gesturing with one pointer finger and the other hand on her hip, says "If I run and jump at Eddie, he will surely catch me in his arms!" Frank replies simply, "Don't do that."
The second panel shows Eddie walking in, carrying a stack of packages in his left arm and holding up several letters in his right hand. He shouts "Mail call here f-Oh No", interrupting himself with a shocked smile as Julie runs towards him flapping her arms, screaming "EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE CATCH ME EDDIE C'MON QUICK EDDIE CATCH EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE". Frank, back still to the viewer, watches with shock with his hands raised in the air.
The third panel shows Eddie having indeed caught Julie, holding her up with both arms and an anxious expression. The packages he was holding have all fallen to the ground around him, and several of the envelopes are still fluttering to the ground. Julie is completely oblivious to Eddie's distressed, kicking her legs in the air excitedly, cradling Eddie's face with one hand and waving to Frank with the other. Frank watches in silent, stunned disbelief. End ID.]
[Image 2 ID: A colored image of Eddie Dear and Wally Darling (a smaller, yellow puppet with a large dark blue pompadour hairstyle and calm smile, wearing blue cardigan sweater over a button-up shirt, rainbow striped pants, and saddle shoes with hearts on the soles). Eddie is holding up Wally with both hands; Wally has his arms out to the sides and legs slightly bent at the knees. Both are smiling open-mouthed at each other, Wally relaxed yet warm, Eddie delighted yet slightly stunned. There are envelopes fluttering to the ground and scattered all around Eddie, with an arrow pointing to him reading "dropped all the mail". End ID.]

I love Latter Pillar so much you don’t understand i adore him have have some headcanons for him
Daisey literally pulls Howdy BY THE ANTENNA and makes him give Latter a hug. They like Latter, he’s sweet. But him being dramatic sometimes gets on their nerves
Daisey and Lizzy do partake in the Latter teasing, but they usually shut it down if it gets to mean (Latter protection squad say what)
Latter and Eddie besties real, Latter reads his poetry in the post office and Eddie just listens while doing his mailman duties
Honey’s mean to him, but secretly like his poetry. He thinks it’s so bad it’s funny
He runs a poetry club, he’s made a few friends from it too :3
Lizzy loves her brother, she really does, but she cannot stand to hear his bad poetry. She send him ads for poetry lessons and he gets sad about it
Also randomly put in but I love those little bee kids (I don’t know their names :,) ) they look so cute I love them
Latter has 6 arms me thinks, idk if that’s confirmed lmao
I’m mentally I’ll and that update destroyed me so I’m focusing on Howdy’s dramatic, flamboyant brother :3
The Howdy's nephews (the cater-bee children <3) are Howdo and Youdo! I can't remember if its one "o" or two tho haha
But yes Latter is just,,, he's so,, Soo ajdhjssj <3 I love him and his silly dramatics and bad poetry
Forcing siblings to hug is hilarious! I should know as a Certified Annoying Sibling Who Likes Hugs >:3 so good Daisey lol Howdy needs to hug his brother
Lighthearted teasing is fun, and I think if Latter was genuinely friends with whomever he'd go along with it, maybe do improve poetry to tease them back dramatically pff
Yeah you think Howdy would be upset that his brother is friends with the mailman? Bc Latter and Eddie besties Is real and in your home <3 They could write each other letters when it's not the holidays and Latter send Eddie his poetry for approval bc Eddie is too nice to say it's bad <3 (cough Latter getting a crush on Eddie? whaaaatt cough)
Howdy secretly enjoying things feels on brand lol. but him enjoying it for the wrong reason (so bad it's funny) is hilarious
Sorry but my oc CJ would be apart of Latter's poetry club <3 They're friends now Speaking of the poetry club, I imagine they do slam poetry and Latter is really bad but trying his best lol
Not the Poetry Lesson ads 😭 sobbs why she gotta do him dirty like that sjdbsjdhj lmao

Danny!
i will re-introduce him! and in depth this time!
Danny Danger is a sort of "antagonist" in the greaser au! A rival to Wally specifically! (it's all in good fun, i assure you!)
(Danger is not his actual last name, but you didn't hear that from me!)
first things first! Danny was made specifically for this au! so I have no idea how he would be outside of it! So everything i will say is in this context!
(long rambles below!)
Danny runs his own gang of sorts, causing trouble wherever he goes, he's a pain really, and he's one to break rules without a second thought (assuming he knows of the rules, he doesn't care very much!)
Danny is very much the "bad boy" archetype, and he leans heavily into it. So much so he comes off across as Silly! He's not above physical confrontations, and not above playing dirty!
Overall, he's bad news!
there are a few things about him that i find amusing,
he can't fly! but those wings are real! (In his family his wings are actually considered "small", not big enough to actually have him fly... it's a detail he very much loathes!)
He acts nonchalant, and tries to be cool, but secretly he's a ball of anxiety. (again, you didn't hear it from me!)
(he's a fan of pinchos, because he likes "sword fighting" with people after eating) (no major injuries were caused, don't worry!)
unfortunately, he's flirtatious, but in a subconscious way. He'll compliment you, and charm you with fluffy words, but don't trust him! he's just trying to get what he wants... (your heart! don't let him have it!)
(additionally, he's not very good at taking care of it...) (Love is a sort of game to him, he likes playing it, and he doesn't understand how it truly works, so if someone comes along with a sincere word he tends to be thrown off, and he doesn't know what to do.)
(it makes him go backwards, and he gets awkward, because he's just! bwah! he's frustrating!)
(Rainy is often subjected to Danny's antics, and quite frankly it always falls flat- mostly due to his confusion)
he's self centered, and he does take a great deal of care to try and keep his physical appearance in check (his hair is very shiny and soft... he'll tell you to wash your hands before you can touch it!) (along with his wings!)
He loves attention, and does have the tendency to get jealous when he's not the center of it! He wouldn't go out of his way to get it... at least, most of the time! bwah!
(a little gag for a certain someone...)

I am awake! i am living! i am FERAL!
This litle update has me absolutely SPINNING
Firstly just allow me to say that everything is just oh so so CUTE
The costumes, the sprites, the 19 minute long audio, the COOKBOOK my beloved!!
But anyways, theory time!!
Well more like observations, thoughts and unhinged ramblings XD
Gonna put it Down Below:
Speaking of that. First observation is the wording of Down Below
We usually talk about waving up high! It is said so many times!
But now we finally have our official "As Above, So Below"
My first thought on this is the theme of a stage,
"As above the stage, down below the stage"
But I truly dont think we have enough information to make a connection quite yet
We know where "Down Below" is
I wonder where "As Above" is?
The second thing is the Wally Darling costume
And the Eyes
I realize now that the Eyes are actually just holes and showing whatever is underneath, BUT I still can't help thinking that this was intentional! Perhaps it's some sort of Code?
Afterall, his eyes are Black!
Now to get into the MEAT here:
Spoilers if you have not found the secret audio!
during the secret audio "Listen"
The bug found on the transcript
Wally stares directly at the "eddie" apple as he eats the apple on the plate (I also just wanted a screenshot of the "eyes" in the BG)
and now… now i have theories
hang on cause it involves the entire transcript that was said but not said in the transcript itself!
(In fact, it says this part is not there!! but it IS)
so i typed it out by ear
(also ayoo we have a narrator!!)
(also there is a lot of 4th wall breaking and quite a few neighbors seem to know that there is a show/that they are puppets)
(but anyways!)
ok but here is what is said in the story
It is because this town is rumored to have visitors at night… Something from deep within the forest, far beyond the hills and mountains… No one knows what it wants or where it’s going, just that it is persistent.. Just that it arrives here.
So many stories have risen about their origins… But I know what it is searching for.
it is looking for neighbors who have stayed up past the daytime, to gobble them up whole
that is why so few live here
it moves through the streets at night, but it doesnt break into Homes
However, on rare instances, it will find itself with an appetite unsatisfied by its aimless wanderings
even the occasional unfortunate insect that has crossed its path, is not enough
those who have lived through the nights say, it isn't quiet about it either
they always say you can hear when it gets closer to you
do you know what sound it makes?
I hear it, every night.
you can hear it too, if you listen
especially if you wait next to your window
First, there's rustling in the bushes
Then, the scratching on the pavement, and the walls.. as it crawls up
Finally, if you're quiet..
You can hear it's guttural sound
ok ok so there seems to be a theme going on here and the theme is Hunger
And also when the audio gets all garbled and skipping?
I feel like it is saying..."Frankly" over and over?
I could be overthinking, but it is what i hear!!
it almost feels like Wally.. can't control his hunger
he was supposed to be watching Barnaby's apple
Barnaby even says "Don’t worry though, kid, there’s plenty’a other eats here! What’re you feelin’ hungry for, Wally?"
and he is quick to draw attention away from wally, as he tends to do a LOT
barnaby seems to Know a LOT about Wally, and thats why he sort of has to be his babysitter?
I think that there could be a connection here
I think Wally was HUNGRY, he was absolutely STARVING
OR OR
Maybe something else was Hungry? Home?? Whatever the black goo/mold is?? If something is controling Wally?
His eyes are black, the Goo is black, the goo is coming from Home
But also also
[It sounds like Barnaby pats the camera.]
Going back to my theory of wally being the camera/ the audience surrogate/his eyes are cameras
This is fuel to my fire!!
Oh and also the Wally Costume add to the motif of You being able to see through Wally's eyes. Of You and Wally being connected through his Eyes!!
But at the end of the day, I think this update revolves around Eddie!
This little bug on the rock is Purple! Which we know is Eddie's Color!
And just that that doodle looks like the bug that leads to the secret Audio where Eddie's apple is brought to the screen..
Leads me to feel like something forboding is going on for our poor, dear sweet Mailman!
Which by the way, just another little Observation
But Sally doesnt seem enthused by the fact that Eddie is a fellow Arts lover? and she just calls him "Mailman" rather than an affectionate longname like she does with everybody else
But it does feel like Eddie is the Type to give his heart and soul to everyone, the shirt from his back, only for him to get left in the dirt
u_u I'm noticing a trend of him being the neighborhood punching bag
Eddie IS the mailman tho!
So it only makes sense that he is the one delivering the letters to the WHRP. He is not the one writing them, he's just the delivery guy!
But I think he could be being sent out at night
When everyone else is asleep
And I think something terrible may happen to him
It's very dangerous to go out at night
and This could be where Eddie is ripped in half/mangled
Wally fixes him of course!
(old theory but it does reference that)
So is Wally just using Eddie to serve whatever purpose he is after?
Eddie is a very compliant guy, he would do anything for anyone
and if he can be put back together, where is the harm?
I am starting to make connections!
Stringing together the pieces!
And once again, i'm getting the question of
"Is Wally Evil?"
And once again, I am answering with a solid "No"
Do I think that he could be slightly morally askew?
With the themes of "I must do what I need to do, no matter what happens" "I'm sorry, but this is how it must be" "The ends justifies the means"
Possibly, maybe. Especially if it is to save his Neighbors, his World, his Home.
Or, Just some of his actions are not his, he is a puppet afterall.
Anyways anyways, this has been a very very long and rambly tangent.
Hopefully there can be some sense made from this, I know that I can be a bit jumpy with my thoughts!!
But these are my inputs for now!!
Feel free to add on/correct me!
(I know the one link is out of cannon date, but so was the Frankly picture, and it was made cannon, so take it with a grain of salt)

You Just Relax
Mentions of tickles, but none actually happening. I just wanted to write something really cozy and soft. I do hope you all enjoy these little drabbles.
So, here's a little look into how some of our friendly puppets help their friends recover after a good wrecking. Aftercare is super important, and the post-tickle affection is just as well-loved as the tickles themselves.
---
“Comfy, kiddo?” Barnaby asked, pulling his pipe from his mouth. He directed his words at the small puppet curled up in his arm while they sat in his armchair together.
Wally could only managed a weary, if blissful nod.
Barnaby chuckled. His buddy’s smile widening slightly as his chest rumbled. Not but a little bit ago, the little guy was laughing himself silly.
Wally was such a glutton when it came to being tickled. Of course, he had his best friend wrapped around his finger, in the kindest way possible. Barnaby lived to play tickle monster to any of the little guys. Anything to make his little friends laugh themselves silly.
In what was now a regular event it seemed, Wally had bashfully asked to be tickled. Being a good friend, Barnaby proceeded to scoop him up in his arms and spent the better half of the morning with that adorable tummy all to himself. He took it like an absolute fiend as usual, Barnaby got a little worried the little guy was going to exhaust himself, again.
Thankfully he had a kill switch that usually got him to call it quits. A few big raspberries directly on the heart on his tummy reduced him to pleading squeaks of mercy.
Of course he was worn out afterwards. So that meant he was now Barnaby’s teddy-bear until he got his strength back. The large dog puppet made a special point that if he went out of his way to wreck these little guys with tickles, they were going to be good and tuckered out afterward. It was a way to make sure that ‘good dog’ snuggles were essentially mandatory.
You can’t just watch your friend laugh their heart out, blushing cheeks and big smile all the while, and not get a little gooey afterwards.
Barnaby couldn’t help but ‘admire’ his handiwork. Wally’s perfectly done hair was a frazzled mess, his cheeks were redder than strawberries, and there were still residual, hiccuping giggles slipping out of his system as the after-tickles worked out of him.
Thankfully, he had a cure for that. A large paw began to gently rub Wally’s belly, massaging out any lingering tingles. The happy noise his buddy made in response to the gentle affection darn near made him melt. But he settled for giving Wally a gentle nuzzle
“Soak it in kid, I’ve gotcha.”
---
Julie gently finished pouring a hot cup of tea in a very special cup. It was bright yellow with beautiful purple and pink butterflies on it. She set in on a tray stacked with biscuits and scampered into her living room.
“I brought you some tea and treats, Frank! Are you comfy?” She asked cheerfully
Her aforementioned friend was settled quite comfortably on her love-seat. His usual surly expression had been replaced with this relaxed smile. A soft, quilted blanket had been tossed over him while he lay his entire length across the sofa, hands at rest on his belly, back propped up by the arm of the love-seat.
Upon noticing her, he sat up a little straighter. Quickly she scurried over to prevent him from standing up fully, placing her tray on the stand next to the sofa.
“Yes...Julie, I am...quite alright.” He said, his voice soft.
Julie adored her best friend, they had a very special relationship. Poppy once compared them to flowers and butterflies. They needed one another! He helped her blossom and she put a bit of sweetness in him. They wouldn’t trade each other for anything.
She handed him his cup with a chide of “Careful, it’s still hot!”
He gave her a look that said ‘I’ll be careful’ and seemed content just to hold it, letting is cool while his hands were warmed. Julie pressed another of many to come kisses to the side of his forehead.
Frank was not so surly once you got to understand him. He had all these charming little quirks to him that Julie adored. One of her favorites was when he’d come to her and, quite timidly, ask her to tickle the sense out of him. There was a level of trust that took, only her and Eddie had the privilege. A privilege she had gotten to take part in, not but shortly beforehand.
Oh she’d gotten him good today, she always did. Julie prided herself on the fact that she could get him laughing so darn hard and so freely. It was such a delight to see his frown melt into a laughing grin and his fingers tangle up in his hair to try and ride out the overwhelming sensations. His tummy was her favorite target, it was soft and so terribly sensitive. Her favorite thing was brushing her hair up and down his sides until he was reduced to airy squeaks and snorts.
He was pretty delirious by the time she was done with him. Once he’d caught his breath, she helped him lay down on her couch and tossed a blanket over him, and proceeded to smother him properly in affection. Frank was always so warm and soft after a good tickling, a bit like a freshly baked muffin.
Once she decided he was fine on his own, she had scurried off into the kitchen to get refreshments started.
Gingerly, her hand brushed his hair from his face. “Oh your hair always gets so ruffled, you look as bad as when you rolled down that big hill last spring, ooohh you got so dizzy. I thought I’d have to carry you back...” He gave her a venom-less scowl as she prattled on and on. Opening the drawer of her side-table, she riffled through it until she pulled out a bright red comb with little white daisies printed on it.
Hopping up to sit on the arm of the couch, she began to tidy up his rumpled mess of black locks. Few things were quite as soothing as having a trusted loved one groom or play with your hair. As Frank took a sip of their tea, they relaxed into the affection and tenderness.
Julie chattered happily “Don’t you fret Frank; we’ll get you spiffy in a jiffy!”
---
“Howdy, I’m fine, I need to get back to work.”
The shopkeeper handed Eddie a bottle of water and put a firm hand on his shoulder “Just sit there and don’t get your britches in a twist.”
Eddie gave a bemused smile, but remained seated. Howdy had gotten in the habit of keeping a chair off to the side, behind the counter. With some of the shenanigans that ended up happening at the bodega these days, you needed to have somewhere to set the little guys while they recovered.
From what? Well, a certain multi-armed tickle monster occasionally popped up in the store to get his fill of giggles from certain group of colorful puppets. Today, his feast came in the form of a clumsy mailman with a wonderful laugh and some very ticklish hips.
“You need to get your strength back before you go haulin’ off, Eddie.” Howdy said, looking back at him from stacking products on a tall shelf.
Eddie shook his head, taking a sip before speaking “I wouldn’t be as tired if a certain caterpillar hadn’t decided he needed to ‘make sure I was still in one piece.’”
“Well, you gave yourself quite a wallop on the head when you tripped over your own two feet, forgive me for wantin’ to make sure Home’s favorite delivery boy is still in workin’ order.”
Still in working order, how funny. He was right though, Eddie did make quite an entrance this morning by proceeding to fall flat on his face. Howdy did start out wanting to just make sure he didn’t hurt himself too bad. But once it was assured his head was just fine, things escalated. Everywhere else quickly became a concern.
Eddie darn well knew he was in for a tickling the minute Howdy’s troublesome fingers began scurrying along his neck and ears. But by the time they reached his armpits, it was too late. Once a neighbor had him laughing, they had a hard time letting him stop.
With four sets of fingers, all of which were very familiar with his tickle spots, Howdy had him in peals of laughter in no time. Ribs, sides, that soft tummy, and finally a pair of hands on his horribly ticklish waistline, squeezing and drilling their fingers into the sensitive area like an addiction. The other set settled on wiggling into his lower back, paying good attention to that sweet spot under his shoulder area that made him squeal.
After Howdy had his fun, he kindly deposited his weary friend in the corner chair to catch his breath. One bottle of water and a freshly patted head later, Howdy was back to work, and Eddie was left rather giddy.
“You really do need to be a lil more careful Edd. We worry about you, ya know.” Howdy said, there was a lilt of concern rarely heard from the cocky caterpillar. For all the pride and bravado he had, there was a big heart under all his big talk.
Eddie’s smile softened, more out of genuine appreciation than anything “Ah I know, ya’ll are good folk.” He said gently, rubbing the back of his neck in his bashful way.
Howdy used a hand to put a firm grip on his shoulder, giving it a little shake for emphasis “You’re not so bad yourself, Edd!” As he lifted another box of supplied, he gave Eddie a little nudge and said “Don't sweat it, tough guy. I’m always happy to get ya back on your feet when you fall.”
