i chose a text to translate for the computer science translation class and the teacher said there should be no translation available so i checked and there was none and she approved my text. i sent my translation yesterday and today she replied and said theres a translation. that fucking page was translated since the last time i checked it like. 2 weeks ago ???

so now i found another text (probably harder to translate too) and im looking everywhere before sending it to her, like if i find anyone translated oracle's vm virtualbox user manual somewhere i will obliterate them

Tbf, if I open a new tab or refresh the page I’m able to reblog again - but if I’m deep in the dash that’s obviously not the ideal move to make. I’m assuming this has something to do with the new UI Tumblr’s using because this hasn’t happened before.

The biggest D2 Twitter leaker is stepping away from the platform because they're worries Bungie will sue which means leaks won't flood socials anymore hopefully.

Hm, on one hand I don't think Bungie would go that far to sue and I wouldn't want someone to feel like they have to leave in fear of being sued over this, but on the other hand I really don't like these types of leaks that completely disregard whether or not people actually want to see the leaks. Like, the leak drama could easily be solved if people just did the basic decency of keeping them under spoiler tags (which exist on pretty much every website).

Hopefully, going forward there will be less leaks, but also there will less need for leaks. I have a very complex relationship with leaks. I don't mind them as long as they're kept under spoilers so people can choose whether they want to view them or not (and sometimes people want to see minor leaks, but not bigger ones and there's usually no distinction between them whatsoever). But in most cases this just doesn't happen. People post them without spoilering them either maliciously or for simple clickbait and attention. Sometimes it's also accidental so I wouldn't want someone to be sued because they accidentally shared something they shouldn't have.

But also, I am hoping that in the future Bungie finds a better way to keep us engaged. I personally don't like massive story previews and a million trailers, but I also don't like complete silence. There IS a middle ground here, with smaller teaser releases. I feel like a lot of the desire for leaks would calm down if we were given more from Bungie. I know they want to keep things as a surprise and I enjoy it that way the most, but also people are curious. Keeping us on our toes with smaller teasers would help not only satisfy our curiosity but also keep people talking.

Right now, outside of leaks, we have nothing about the season 2 days before it releases. This is very counter-productive to me. There were several hints and also there are several ongoing unresolved plots so the new season could be about any of those. I think giving us a season name, some screenshots and short teaser trailers would keep people speculating and engaging with content while they're waiting. It would possibly also reduce the need for leaks (though not outright remove it, people always want leaks).
