yeah, Jin is a welcome pull, but a pretty weird one! I saw the post when it dropped (don't ask why I was looking at twitter at 3 AM) and the replies were. very confused. :') nice to see some Jin rep though! and if this opens the door to characters based on more deepcut riders, all the better!

of course, if they really want to stay true to the spirit of Jin, we know what he'll be like

so I am 100% convinced that we're getting Dragonmount at some point. I've previously said that I'm convinced its coming next episode as the cold open, but I'm less sure of that the more I think about it

because it being paired against the season 1 finale cold open like the Gitara vision was paired against the Blood Snow cold open would make sense and be thematically good and all

but also I'm starting to think they might hold it for either the opening of next season or the finale of next season

because if they saved it for the finale of next season, there is a very good chance it'd be shown basically right after we get the Rhuidean visions and seeing all we learn from Rhuidean and THEN seeing Dragonmount might be something....

Me over here while about to go to bed because work in the morning and it's 1AM already: Doesn't write a Fontaine character, is a Liyue fanatic at heart, and truly has no business talking about Fontaine. Meanwhile, has gone insane to numerous people so far about French language tidbits for the nation/some of its characters and the massive contrast between them, but especially the architecture, considering Fontaine seems to be inherently referencing historical France more times than I can possibly ever count, and it's the nation of justice (well, technically since Focalors, as I don't believe Egeria was ever known as the god of 'justice'? This whole concept of the gods and what they're officially gods of is still something that my mind goes feral over, but technically, a predecessor and/or ancestor holds/held the title of the same archon of course, but doesn't have to preside over the same 'ideal', or so from what I've been able to find; especially as we know that the gods don't 'reincarnate', with Rukkhadevata and Nahida being an exception... of sorts? Ish?) which is incredibly important to remember. ok so there are a couple of very interesting parts of the athl*tic article about this whole thing that stood out to me. i trust the writer quite a bit re: sources

first this bit which i honestly had kind of forgotten about because thomas got in form immediately after & then played a key role in big wins against union & p$g. but reading between the lines it does seem like not too many players were big fans... and it feels especially loud that thomas has not posted anything yet. i've only seen leon and benji post? and benji's was more about dino than anything

secondly... i had not heard that bit about cancelo but like. it's interesting to see this written out because it definitely makes it seem like our mentality issues had a lot to do with players being hyped enough to show up for big games and high enough quality to win them but... idk. this is making me feel like perhaps it was just as big of a problem as i feared in february.

and... yeah. this kind of is the nail in the coffin. we were never really able to sustain performances, and really no one was consistently good? sure you can point to big development in certain players, but. how do we know it would have stuck? i would have said serge, leroy really thrived last year but look at now.

in any case, the article concludes by basically being like, the feeling at the club isn't actually negative towards nagelsmann, but maybe he wasn't quite ready and maybe he'll be back. honigstein also points out: "Chances are his next club will be the beneficiaries of that maturing process. #but first i'll acclimatize to the kindergarten where i'm starting my internship tomorrow #and then when they don't have a big event where it will be packed i'll visit them to see if they missed me and because of the withdrawal #once i start school in september (for three years) i'll have enough to do so i won't be able to work there anyway #same with this internship. but maybe afterwards in summer i could offer to work again or at least come in on busy days #we'll see what i'll do in summers while studying but i'll probably go for some student job or summer camps or something like that #idk about the time after those three years but depending on where and how much i work then i could pick up bartending again #apparently other people who have worked there took a break for school/main job and then came back #if not i can still go there way more frequently or try dj-ing like some other regulars #this kindergarten seems great but they're moving to another place in the county next year which is really shitty to get to from where i live #both with public transport and by car :// which is why i'm saying depending on where i work in three years #some kindergartens/schools etc are only hiring part time so in that case i would probably work some hours at the bar but if full time not #mel talks
