I think they’ve always been aware that MC was different from their other friends;

As a kid, they remember other friends complaining about Qiu’s giving MC special treatment, and as someone preoccupied with fairness it used to annoy them to no end;

Because they knew it was true, they just didn’t understand why they felt so compelled to treat them this way;

As they grew up and the idea of romantic love became a less threatening, more concrete concept, it didn’t take them too long to piece it together;

MC was always there for Qiu, always ready to show them support and kindness and to look out for them, when Qiu was used to other people relying on them to be like that;

They’d watch them laughing at something Tamarack said and would just feel this… warmth in their chest;

Like this was something they’d need to protect;

The world could be a cruel place, but MC’s kindness and their laughter was the one thing Qiu wanted to preserve;

I don’t think Qiu had this grand moment of realisation;

It happened one night, right at the beginning of autumn, when the leaves started falling and the nights grew colder;

They both agreed to meet in Qiu’s backyard in the early hours of the evening to look at the stars through a telescope together;

Mc managed to bring their favourite tea in a thermos, and gave Qiu the biggest hug once they saw them;

They were just… so happy. Being awake at odd hours of the night trying not to be too loud to not wake Qiu’s parents from their slumber;

Watching the stars and talking about mythology;

Mc started rambling about something they had read and stopped in the middle of it, apologizing about speaking too much;

And Qiu found that they didn’t mind it;

Not only that, they welcomed it. They loved how passionate MC was, how happy and comfortable they had been all night;

Qiu didn’t want them to stop at all, and they realized that they wanted to be the person that MC went to when they wanted to talk about these things;

Well… when people described love it always seemed so overwhelming, and in some aspects it was;

But it mostly just felt right;

Their name is Qiu, their friends call them Autumn, and they are in love with MC;

It’s been a part of them for a long time, and was just nice to finally understand that part of themselves;

Not too much changed after that, only that perhaps their affection and special treatment became more blatant;

In their teens, MC is one of the few people Qiu can stand to be around, and after they’ve realised their feelings they started relying on MC a bit more;

Because Qiu trusts them with that!;

Honestly? MC’s affection is one of the things that keep Qiu going;

MC, despite their obliviousness, ends up noticing and making sure to support them whenever he needs it most;

When Qiu is having a bad day MC will just… Wrap them in a hug and stay there for as long as Qiu needs;

If MC noticed how fast Qiu’s heart beats when they hug, they never mention it;

There are also more subtle types of affection;

Like linking their arms together while walking, grabbing their hand to lead them somewhere or just leaning against Qiu when they’re tired;

Even with all their angst, MC’s affection is always a sure way to soften them;

Qiu will often pinch their cheeks or pat them on the head and lightly tease them for being touchy;

I’m pretty sure Qiu’s love language is acts of service, but knowing how important physical affection is to the MC, Qiu will make sure to initiate it too;

Honestly, I don’t see Qiu as a very jealous person, and knowing Tamarack for years and being close to her, I don’t think that they’re jealous about MC showing her affection too;

Instead, it makes them happy that MC is surrounded by good people that care about them as much as Qiu does;

Tamarack ends up noticing their crush eventually;

I mean… I’m sure everyone knows about it except MC themselves;

And even if she seems a little too invested in it and will sometimes give Qiu a hard time about it in private, she’s very supportive;

And it means a lot to them to have MC’s other best friend support them like that;

In regards to MC being insecure… Qiu doesn’t get it at all;

How can someone that amazing be insecure about themselves? How can they worry about not being loveable enough, not interesting enough? Not beautiful enough?;

And they’re fucking pissed at anyone who would ever make MC feel that way;

MC is a person that Qiu cares about deeply, even if they’re colder at that age, there’s no way they just let them think so little of themselves if they can help it;

So… MC is one of the few people that Qiu will make a big effort with;

They make sure MC knows how special they are, and how beautiful of a person both inside and out!

Satellite Boys Headcannons

Yusei is a he/they bi, Crow is a transmasc gay/asexual, and Jack is a very loud straight ally.

Aki and Carly and super into horror movies, which really sucks for Jack and Yusei who are really not into horror movies. Yusei can handle most gore, but psychological horrors really mess with him. Jack can't handle gore beyond a stab wound, but he doesn't really mind psychological horrors because he's just like 'nah im just built different (dumber)'

Crow is very superstitious, much like Martha. Knocking on wood, being wary of the number 13, throwing salt over your shoulder (though that one is kinda justified considering spirits are like a real thing in ygo) are all stuff he does on the regular

Crow is the only person in the house who can cook. Yusei has never touched an oven in his life because he's spent half of it forgetting to eat, and Jack is... Jack.

In between the three of them, Jack has caused the most property damage. This is very impressive considering Yusei likes to kick down every door he can't open, regardless of the situation. He can lock pick, he just decides not to most of the time. Crow is usually more sneaky when trying to get into places he's not supposed/allowed to, though he's not above shattering a few windows for fun. Jack just likes blowing stuff up.

Neither Jack or Yusei have gotten their ears pierced (Jack wears clip-ons), because Crow has told them horror stories of what happened when he got his ears pierced in prison and how horribly infected they got (he told them this with a bright smile because he thought itd impress them and has yet to realize the mental ramifications it has had on his family)

Hogan is Martha's last name.

Jack has the most refined fighting style, mainly sticking to hard-hitting punches that can knock you out in one blow. Yusei's is more of a freestyle, mixing both fast punches and kicks to knock someone down as quickly as possible. Crow fights like a kindergartner, with biting, hair-pulling, spitting in your eye being some of his go-to tactics. Crow has nearly bitten off someone's finger before, and is not afraid to do it again.

Crow has only ever served his full jail sentence once. Every other time he's broken out.

All three of them participate in the twin's school activities in some way. Crow and Yusei usually go to the PTA meetings, and Jack usually goes to things like sporting events because he is too competitive for his own good and nobody can stop him.

I just wanna talk about this quick and then I’ll shut up forever.

I HATE byler kiss manips (not talking about fan-art, I’m talking about photoshopped byler edits using milkvan scenes). I hate them with a burning passion. The only exception to this would be when bylers use them as a response to homophobic anon asks... now that’s funny. But that’s it 🤣

Like I get it. It’s mostly all a big joke, but it’s just cringy to me..? And weird?? Why can’t we wait for the real thing???

AND YET! AND YET!… Even though I’m kind of contradicting myself by making this post in the first place, I honestly don’t see much value in confronting fans who do this or staging a whole call out about how it makes me personally feel uncomfortable for reasons x y z.

Because that’s just me. I’m sure there are some fans who agree with me and I’m sure there are plenty who don’t. But still, I don’t see the point in policing anyone that disagrees with me on this, to make them feel bad for engaging in fandom differently than me, to make a big spectacle about how it upsets me, bc the reality is, nuance exists!!!

While there are some people out there with horrible, even offensive or concerning takes, not every single disagreement of opinion needs to be put on blast as if that person is bad for whatever point they’re trying to make. Because now suddenly everyone is giving their two cents, clogging the tag to the point where no one can escape it. Now we’re all uncomfortable. Who is that helping?? No one!

So if you’re like me and there’s certain things that make you uncomfortable, no matter how small or even major, BLOCK.

Maybe you are just like me and you give someone a few chances, only to finally block them after one too many posts that are just 😬

Or maybe you block right away the moment you see something you didn’t want to and don’t want to risk seeing again.

I just hate this tendency fandoms (it’s all fandoms, not just st or byler) have to attribute one or even a couple hundreds of fans opinions, to the entire fandom… and then project that onto the rest of us like “IF YOU THINK THIS! YOU ARE BAD!” Like be real, there are hundreds of thousands of us, exponentially chances are there are gonna be a great deal of people you won’t agree with. That doesn’t mean we have to ruin this space for everyone.

I really don’t want to do this again, bc like I said, im basically contributing to the very thing I hate. I hate that I feel this need to voice my feelings on something everyone is already talking about, and now i’m also taking away from the aspects of fandom that can be fun and welcoming and worthwhile.

It’s just unfortunate how all fandoms put themselves in this situation. We allow one or a few to control the vibe of the tag and suddenly you can’t find theories or headcanons or just fun banter between fans. All you see is virtue signaling and people trying to find someone to blame. And then we wonder why fandoms fizzle out with resentment. Because we ruin it for ourselves. We turn on each other for the sake of being right. And it just sucks.

At the end of the day, everyone has the right to say how they feel. By all means, that is your choice and you can do whatever feels right to you. But just know that not everyone is going to agree. And that’s not always a bad thing. And even if and when it is, we don’t have to make it EVERYONES business.

redrew an old peice today! (on accident)

made this bc I had just watched s18 and was positively miffed at what they did to my blorbos, drew the poses and then realised I was redrawing a piece from august last year (which is under the cut), very proud of how the armour turned out, first time using colouring pencils on a sketch, details turned out a lil fuzzy so I recomend zooming in on parts lol, but apart from that I'm really proud of this, especailly comparing it to the old one, I've made a lot of progress :]

#keese draws #rain world #rainworld #sliver of straw #consider my sliver more of an au than hc since I do a lot with them I wouldn’t do for an actual canon sliver #if we were to get a canon sliver characterization (which I wouldn’t want in the first place) I’d want smth Very different #with that disclaimer out of the way tho minor infodump time #my sliver is the youngest of her local iterator group along with being a fairly rare model #basically she’s built much more for efficiency and generally requires a lot less resources to power #this is largely because she doesn’t host a city like most iterators do and was made with the surrounding icy environment in mind #as a result she’s not nearly as environmentally destructive as most iterators #they’re not Not destructive mind you but generally their tundra like surroundings have stayed relatively in tact #they host a research facility atop their structure and was generally meant to aid in the research of the stationed scientists #because of this it interacted with far far less anchients than most iterators did and only did in professional environments #because of this far less effort was put into its puppet and vocal box with its voice being entirely flat #it still managed to manifest quite the strong personality however largely stitched from its local iterators #internally she’s quite the wreck being very emotionally unstable and desperate for attention #she has piss poor emotional intelligence however and as such tries to find very tangible ways to help the ppl she cares abt #this ultimately leads to a self distructive downward spiral as she clings to the idea of solving the great problem as the thing they need #and by they I mostly mean the eldest of her local group and their once close friend gaze from the stars #said friend was very very attached to her city citizens and as such took the mass ascension very poorly to put it lightly #and as stars became more bitter and isolated sliver became more desperate to fix this #leading to them diving deeper and deeper into their research and making stars feel more and more alone and betrayed #culminating I’m start cutting off her communications and sliver fully blocking out the rest their local group #until yknow. the whole tripple affirmative thing. #stars was still completely cut off leaving the rest of their group to watched in quiet horror alone as all the drama happened #they were a lot less close to sliver so they were in an awkward spot between not liking the idolization of sliver while also not quite #being able to comfortably point out how dehumanizing it all is given they hardly saw them as a person either before this #I’ll have to design my iterator ocs that are sliver’s group members soon I love them sm #they all kind of suck including sliver most distinctional family in existence

sometimes the popular interpretations of a character can be very wrong/kinda boring. maybe referring to sephiroth here….

i think about the fact that Nico’s powers randomly include temperature control way too much. he can make stuff cold! and is apparently immune to cold himself, at least to some degree! why? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯probably ghost reasons! even though it is not inherently tied to ghosts at all and he can just Do That!

Nico can control his vitals! he can just go ''im gonna take five on MY HEART FUNCTIONING real quick brb' #Nico's bleeding out? no problem! just. turns off his heart. crank that puppy down a bit. cant bleed out if the blood's not moving! #this could also be why he passes out so much. his powers make his blood pressure inherently low and then uses them more. whoops. hes asleep. #i do v much like the hc that Nico just. cannot perceive external temperature. he's just always A Little Chilly cause of his powers #doesnt matter what the actual temperature is. he'll be fine. just also Slightly Cold thus Always Needs Layers
