Me keeping April 16th Draw A Centaur Day alive in 2024!
Tardigrades can tolerate extreme environments but don't actually thrive there.

Meet the jovial tardigrade! These little guys have lived through all five mass extinctions, and can survive in the harshest environments on this planet. The perfect companion to take with you on all your adventures!

I’ve watched “Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts” episode 7. In this episode we get to know a little more about the inner thoughts and dreams of our characters. They acquainted a “water bear” (tardigrade), well more of a colony of water bears, which hypnotized them after they’ve drank some of its organisms with the water. In trans, it showed our pack dreams specially created for them and at first, everything was fine. Wolf was hunting mega-bunnies with Kipo and they both were very buff. Benson and Dave were living in a constant pool-party with a cool dancing floor and a lot of soda. Kipo was at home with her father and even with her mother, who she thought was long dead. What’s more, her mother said that they both are part-mutes (remember Kipo’s night vision and furry hand?), but everybody’s going to accept them. Mandu was eating. The first person to wake up was Wolf because she was still struggling with the decision if to give Kipo her dad’s clue or not and decided to finally do in her dream. When Kipo reacted very out of character for her, Wolf remembered the whole water bear thing and woke up and started waking others: firstly Benson and Dave, who’s dream was too good to be true, then Mandu, Kipo was dreaming for the longest time, but understood that’s not her mother and it’s all not real and woke up. They didn’t even have to fight the water bear colony, because it realized that if its captives (it didn’t call them that, but if you keep somebody unconscious to slowly digest them, I guess it’s a pretty fitting word) were happier with their real lives than with perfect dreams created by it, it has to rethink its methods. At the end, Wolf decided to finally give the clue to Kipo and to her pretty reasonable anger, responded that she was afraid to lose her.
