Loki: I have to go feed my Tesseract
Thor: ...you don’t have the Tesseract
Loki: They moved in last week. Here’s a picture
Thor: Loki, that’s... that’s a human person.
Loki, nodding solemnly: my Tesseract
#okay so that joke about having a cat but its actually chat noir or black panther except its loki and the tesseract#because I'm still all for the Tesseract as a person idea and the Tesseract is a they who changes whenever they feel like it#watch Tony visit Loki to see what he's up to and then bump into this 6''10' lanky guy who has eyes that occasionally glow#oh and the skin can switch between tesseract blue or human skin (the tone changes on any given day) so loki aint the only blue one around#watch Tony visit Loki another day and bump into a 5'4'' lady who also has blue glowy skin or eyes#watch Tony visit again and bump into a 5'7'' maybe-a-gal-maybe-a-guy-? who also has their eyes glow when they smile#watch as Tony slowly gets convinced that Loki is either (a) hiding a bunch of these aliens for an invasion (b) has a blue-person kink#in fact watch as Loki leaves the room upon finding out the movie he was invited to watch is about blue people (avatar)#he spends half an hour in the bathroom sobbing and with every passing minute Tony is just more convinced he's right#watch as Tony convinces himself that Loki is hooking up with a different blue alien person every day and just to make sure he asks Thor#Thor can confirm Loki and the blue person sleep in the same room and that Loki only has 1 bed so Tony draws the 'logical conclusion'#and no Tony isn't jealous but watch as he fruitlessly tries convincing the Tesseract to sleep with him too without knowing theyre one person#since the Tesseract and Loki are friends and interact the most with each other Tony assumes 'Tessie' and 'Tess' are alien sweet talk#The Tesseract is recounting Tony's attempts at flirting to Loki and they go to sleep happy#''dont you want to be ... my Tessie?'' ''May I beg your pardon?'' ''I can be your Tess if you'll be my Tessie ;)'' ''goodbye''#watch as the nonbinary shapeshifting Tesseract and ace genderfluid shapeshifting Loki slowly drive Tony insane#loki x tesseract where the tesseract is totally a night light#isnt it a shame that the closest canon thing loki has to a friend is the tesseract of all things?? WRONG!! this is an opportunity#the comedic potential of assumed heterosexuality WILL be squandered by me#watch as the Tesseract learns to exist without someone commanding them to teleport/shapeshift and Loki learns to exist because he wants to#watch as the both of them learn to exist as individuals for themselves#while convincing EVERYONE in the vicinity that Loki is sleeping with enough blue glowy aliens to invade the planet#Ace Loki#asexual loki#LokiIsAceAU#OH#I also want to say that this same scenario can work if Loki is pansexual / something else and I'm not trying to erase any existing sexuality#as a headcanon you could totally interpret it any way you want and the fact that I'm personally hcing Loki as ace#I really hope I'm not offending anyone with this#if anyone is offended I'd be happy to write up a few specific headcanons for other sexualities too?

Part 5 CANDLELIGHT
One of the few things you had learned since your past and your present had collided was the world was constantly moving. Everyone would try to move on, try to better themselves. A process the might look painful on one end, and easy for some. You had it easy. Having Stephen by your side all throughout was good, being able to find the good in the world in him, in your relationship and eventual marriage as well as the child you were carrying.
Things has been going well and you found yourself visiting the compound more on a regular basis now with Stephen constantly by your side. His sling ring a good tool to use to avoid dealing with New York traffic. Being able to reconnect with your friends had been hard at first having ghosted them for a hefty amount of time, but things had been good, especially with everyone just as excited about the baby coming in a few more months.
"Have you found out about the gender?" Nat had inquired as soon as you had arrived into the common room, your husband and Wong was dealing with a mission briefing with Steve and Tony while you waited.
"Not yet." You smiled at your friend before rubbing your growing bump. Sitting by the window with your friend, it was still weird for you to come back here, knowing everything that had happened. The way you just left and never looked back. "We still haven't decided if we're going to wait until the baby is born."
Nat smiled, asking your permission, had placed her hand against your stomach. The light thump had made the two of you jump, your baby's first kick.
"Still can't convince you to name the baby Natalie?" She teased making your burst out laughing.
"Tell that to Wanda and Thor, they're already bribing me with naming the baby after them too." You giggled remembering the multiple of times you had to deal with the two when you visit. "But I'll think about it." You assured knowing the name you had in mind would sound good with a second name added to it.
"We're not mad at you for what happened, Y/N." Nat had spoke all of a sudden, surprising you with the shift of your conversation. "We're surprised that everything happened the way that it did, but we understand why you did what you had to do."
You were left in silence, it was still something you tried your best to keep to yourself. A resentment they might have towards you because of your choice, how you turned your back on all of them when your relationship with Tony ended.
Before Nat could continue on with her words, FRIDAY had called for her to the briefing as well.
"We'll talk later, I'll find someone to keep you company for a while." Nat has said with a smile leaving you all alone to your own thoughts.
It would take a while to come to terms with your choice, but as long as you had Stephen and the baby, you had nothing more you had to worry about. Rubbing your stomach again, the thump had made you smile as you started to hum against the air, hoping to calm your restless baby.
Your eyes lingered onto the windows, the well manicured lawn and the vast land of the compound. You had remembered the time where you would sit in the middle of the grass, soaking into the sunlight after being in the confinement of your former room for days on end.
"I hope I am not intruding."
Turning your head away from the window, the sight of Loki had surprised you. For the most part, you had known about the team's hesitation towards the reformed God, and the other part of you still wary of him after the last time you've seen him in person--when he and his brother had made their way to Stephen's sanctum hoping to find you. The words that he spoke that became the push you needed to this life you now live.
"No you're not, Loki." You assured the God as he has come to approach you. "How's your stay since I've last seen you?" You inquired the man.
Unlike everyone in the team, you didn't have the same resentment towards the man--knowing from Thor what had happened to him, what he had to do to survive, you try your best not to put it against him if you could. And he is a good company to have while you do your research for your book.
"I'm afraid I've lost my library companion." He responded, a ghost of a smile resting on his face. "And I think an apology is long overdue after what I've said."
One brow rose waiting for him to continue his words.
"What I had called you in Strange's Sanctum is uncalled for and I never got the chance to apologize to you."
So he did know you were in the Sanctum. Blinking you didn't really know what to say.
"Why didn't you tell Thor or Tony?" You found yourself asking after a moment.
"What for? If you truly want to be found, you wouldn't have hidden, in such a poor excuse of curtains of all things. And I do not believe that you would be happy with Stark in the long run."
"So you're favoring Stephen over Tony?" You smiled knowing the vendetta still placed on Stephen's back for what he did to Loki all those years before.
"I have said no such thing." He brushed off finally sitting besides you on the couch. "But you're more tolerable compared to the rest of the people in this compound, so your happiness is something I'd champion for."
The biggest compliment you had received from Loki and somehow you find yourself blushing at it. You held onto the man's hand.
"I think I might just name my baby after you, Loki." You teased. "Is this your plan all along?"
"Is it working?" He smirked right back, mischief twinkling his eyes.
"You have Nat, Wanda, and your brother to fight for that right." You pointed out giggling at the antics that Loki was slowly showcasing you. A rare sight as the man chooses to keep to himself most of the time. "Want to feel the baby?" You offered looking up at the man.
"Are you sure?" The man sounded so uncertain and for a while you understood where he was coming from but knowing him, knowing he wouldn't hurt you, it doesn't sound too bad to have him feel the baby too.
Hand still holding onto his own, you placed his palm on top of your stomach. Smiling as soon as his palm rested, a sudden kick had made the two of your jump for a moment. Giving him a side glance, an amazed look that rested on his face placed you more at ease.
"They like you." You pointed out with a smile.
"A mistake they'd made before they're even born." Loki muttered pulling away.
"Loki--" You warned. "You don't contradict a pregnant woman." You warned with a pointed look now focus on him. A sheepish smile now resting on his face because of it.
Before Loki could further contradict himself, the sound of a few voices approaching had the two of you looking up and the sight of your husband and Wong coming to pick you up. But the sight of Tony and Steve also with them, the smile on your face had fallen. So much for trying to avoid the man.
"Hands off the wife, Laufeyson." Your husband warned, but you rolled your eyes and smiled towards the also much annoyed Loki.
"Loki's been keeping me company." You pointed out finally standing up and approaching your husband in the process.
"Fifty bucks he's also trying to convince you to name the baby after him."
"Keep your money to yourself, Strange." You snorted wrapping an arm around his waist. You smiled beamingly at your husband before winking knowingly at Loki and the conversation they had would only be theirs to keep from now on. "Loki's been nothing but nice to me and I'm staring to like the idea of Baby Loki."
At the grimace your husband had on you couldn't help but burst into as loud fits of laughter.  Resting your head against his chest, try as the man could, it was still hard for him to keep his emotions and his sass in check. You were fine with it, happy for his antics from time to time when he wasn't getting on your nerves.
"We'll talk about our child's life choices if you do that when we get home." He muttered cradling your head as you pull back to look at him. "Say goodbye to your friend before we go."
You smiled hugging Loki, taking the man by surprise before promising to catch up with Steve if Stephen ever stops by the compound again. But for a fraction of a second, you found your attention towards Tony, the longing look on his face as he looked at you and it scared you so much. You know you wouldn't leave Stephen, after everything you had been through, but it was just sad to see the playboy so broken--because of you.
"Bye, Tony." You finally whispered before joining your husband and Wong through the portal to bring you right home to the Sanctum.
~
"Benedict Vincent Strange."
The name had escaped your lips as soon as the baby was born. The past thirteen hours, Stephan had been besides himself. Everything he had learned from Med School was thrown in the trash when it comes to you. The doctors had tried their best to stay as far away from him while making sure you were well accommodated.
And everything was worth it as he now held on to his son. A blend of you and him.
Even as the past few hours had been you sobbing to the high heavens while you pushed for the baby out while you pray for their safety. Stephen was relieved to know you and the baby were safe and healthy judging from the lungs capable of screaming up a storm from the both of you. The smile had somehow found their way onto his face.
He had watched the doctors begin to clean up his son before turning his attention back to you. Leaning back against the bed, even with the fatigue and pain still painting your face, you still had this big smile watching from the sides as the nurses swaddle your son.
"He's got your eyes." Stephen pointed out with a smirk and you were quick to roll your eyes. It was just a fun little debate the two of you had while you prepared for the baby, how such discussion span and become so meaningless as all the mattered was this very sight.
A life he never thought he would be allowed to have in his life. After everything he had done--the mistake he had made, he was still allowed to have his own happy ending in the form of you who had almost fallen face first in front of him in the cafe.
"Do you ever regret it?" Stephen asked after a moment of silence passed between the two of you. "Leaving Tony behind for someone like me?"
"Don't be ridiculous, Stephen." You smiled holding onto his hands, pulling him closer to where you laid to rest. "I've got everything I could have ever wanted in my life. A decent man that loves me more than the whole multiverse combined. I've got a child that I will give my life and soul to protect and love."
It was the truth, and the smile that lingered on his face made everything alright now. There would come a time that his life would be put on the line for the sake of the world, but it was alright. It was for you and it was for your son. His own little manifestation of a happy ending.
He would want nothing more in his life.

Outrage and disgust filled every little whisper he heard. The team's looks were so sharp that they could cut one's skin open. Sighs full of hatred. Snarky remarks, supposedly innocent, yet hurt like hell. Why would anyone care about God of Mischief? Yes, he might live in the Tower, and yes, he might call himself one of the Avengers now, but he would never belong. Never. Not after what he did.
"They will never trust me, won't they?" Loki asked Thor, his sight focused on a cup he was holding in his frozen hands. The tea wasn't hot anymore. It went cold just like his heart that had never known the warmth of love. Trickster raised his eyes to meet Thor's. God of Thunder could swear that for a moment, he saw despair painted onto his brother's pale face. "I thought you didn't care about them nor their attitude towards you."
"I don't." The raven-haired man said immediately but seeing his brother's smile made him speak the truth. "I hate the way they look at me. I know what I did, and I deserve it. It's just— Nevermind." Loki sighed and took a sip of his cold tea. Speaking about his feelings was never his strong suit. Opening up to someone and spilling his guts felt like a nightmare he didn't want to experience at all costs. Runaway was the best choice.
"If you want to gain their trust, start with Lady Y/N. She's the most perfect for being the first one to break the ice with. Believe me." Thor gave his brother a clap on the back and nodded. "Go on."
"She's holding a knife right now. I am the one who stabs, not the one to be stabbed." Loki muttered. Thor's look said everything. In response, God of Mischief just rolled his eyes, stood up, and slowly approached you. You seemed so focused on the meal you were preparing that you didn't even notice him at first. He cleared his throat. "Lady Y/N."
You snapped out of the trance you were in just a few seconds ago. You lifted a knife you were holding in your hand. It was all covered up in ice, even sharper than the kitchen utensil itself. You held it up in front of your face as you were breathing rather heavily, scared of the sudden voice that made you come back to earth with a bump. Loki could swear that for a moment, your eyes turned impeccably white, just like the snow you could summon whenever you wanted.
"I— I'm so sorry, I didn't want to scare you. I truly mean it." Loki said immediately, waving his hands, the visible awkwardness painted onto his face.
"No, no! It's not your fault." You smiled to assure him that everything was fine. "Whenever I'm cooking, I'm in a trance. Just me, food, my mind free of all the bad thoughts that have been haunting me." You waved your hand in which you were holding a knife, and the ice melted away, just like that, not leaving any mark behind. Loki gave you a subtle nod and asked. "What are you cooking?"
"Oh, I won't tell you." You blurted out, which was followed by the awkward silence. "It's because I'm making my secret dish. Y/N's secret delicacy. No one knows what's inside except me." You explained in the blink of an eye. Loki seemed to be a little bit confused. Oh boy, you weren't good at small talks either. "If you want to, you can stay and sit here. We can talk about whatever you want or, if not, we can sit there in silence. It depends on you."
A sweet, delicate smile appeared on your face. You knew it was hard for Loki. You could see that. You noticed these quick looks he was giving whenever someone whispered his name. You noticed his need to be included when you were in a group, but everybody seemed to be ignoring him. Nobody wanted him to participate in meetings or conversations. He was in a crowd, yet he felt like he was all by himself. You saw all of this, and it made you feel bad. You knew what he did, but in the end, he was one of you now. Every god could bleed, and it hurt you to watch.
You wanted to make the raven-haired man feel better. Even if you were the only one to do this and every other person was about to judge you, you wanted Loki to feel included, to feel important. You promised yourself that it would be YOU who will make Loki feel welcomed, welcomed in a place where everyone pushed him away.
"Can I ask what your exact powers are?" Loki started the conversation, and you couldn't help but smiled. He truly wanted to talk with you. How adorable.
"I'm a demigod with cryokinetic powers. It would take a lot to talk about my abilities, but I will tell you that my favorite one is making ice daggers. Quick and simple, though it took some time to master the perfect shape." You chuckled. "Learning to aim ideally in a battle to cut through a chest and freeze someone's heart was the most problematic part."
"I didn't know you are so violent and tough."
"I am not... I guess I pretend to be." You said quietly, not looking upon a cutting board. A deep sigh escaped your mouth. "You know, it's not a job for everyone. Sometimes I'm too gentle for that."
You didn't let the silence last forever, as you immediately asked. "How do you find yourself here? Do you like the Tower?"
"Ah, you know... It has changed since the last time I visited." Loki said, clearly ashamed of all the damage he did back in 2012. Till these days, the thought of the Chitauri ravaging New York gave you the shivers. It was a very demanding and traumatizing first day of work as the Avenger.
"A renovation was a must." You joked; to clear the air and shoo away the atmosphere that was creeping towards you. "What about your room?"
"If you can call a small couch in Thor's bedroom my room, then I guess it's okay."
"You sleep on Thor's couch?" It was something that surprised you and not in a good way. You got that Loki wasn't everyone's favorite member, but there was a ton of empty bedrooms in the Tower in which he could live.
The God of Mischief nodded. "It's not that bad."
"I don't care. I will talk to Tony. You have to have your own bedroom. It's not like you can sleep on his couch forever. It's not comfortable in the long run." Loki opened his mouth to say something, but you cut him off. "I've got it covered, don't worry."
There was something in talking to you that made Loki feel at home. The way you looked at him; gave him the sweetest and prettiest smiles he has ever seen. There was no hate in your voice, no disgust that he's been experiencing on a daily basis since he could remember. You actually treated him like a human being, despite everything he has ever done. There was only one person he knew with such a kind heart, and you reminded him of her; you reminded him of Frigga.
"You know..." Loki begun. "I feel like you are the only one that doesn't want to cut my throat or stab my heart with my dagger."
You smiled gently. "I think you deserve a second chance."
"And why is that?"
"This is a story for another time."
***
"Where do you think you two are going?" Tony asked when you and Loki approached the elevator. God of Mischief gave him a quick stare before pushing the button with an arrow pointing down. You turned your head to face Tony, who was making himself a coffee. "We're going on a walk." You answered with a smile on your face.
"It's almost midnight."
"Said a man with a cup of coffee in his hand." You chuckled. "We're going to be fine. He's a god, and I'm a demigod. Nothing bad will happen to us."
You knew that it wasn't you who Tony was worried about; he still didn't trust Loki. When you joined the Avengers, you were one of the youngest in the group. Fresh blood, you could say. Stark watched you growing from an impulsive, careless kid with ice powers to a deliberate adult, a demigod aware of her cryokinetic strength. Seeing you change over the years, he felt responsible for your life. Even if Man of Iron knew you could handle yourself, Loki was too powerful. Tony refused to believe in his change, and with it, he was afraid that the Trickster was purely playing with you. If only they saw Loki as you did.
A few minutes later, you two were strolling down the New York. Just you, Loki, and the subtle hum of the Hudson River that made your troubled hearts feel at peace. Slowly paced steps. Your knuckles barely brushing each other woke up armies of butterflies in your stomachs that went on war. If you were bold enough, you would grab his hand in yours and intertwined your fingers together, holding him like it was the end of the world. It was something you truly wanted from the moment Thor brought him into the group.
"So..." Loki cleared his throat. "If you want to, we can talk or, if not, we can walk in silence. It depends on you."
"I'm not ready, not yet... I'm sorry."
"Don't you ever be sorry for not being ready to talk about your feelings, Lady Y/N." Loki grabbed your wrist and made you stop your steps. "Ever, okay?"
Something was mesmerizing in his beautiful eyes and a worried smile. Something that made your heart beat faster; palms get sweaty and clammy. Something that made you agree to everything he said. It was like a trick, but not like the ones he did from time to time to piss of Thor or Tony. No.
You snapped out of it and nodded. "Okay." You said and took your wrist from his hand. You began to walk again with Loki by your side when he asked. "Lady Y/N. A few months ago, I had asked why I deserve a second chance. You'd never gave me an answer. I'd still like to know."
You smiled, looking at the tiny waves on the river. "I knew you'd asked that sooner or later. I think I can finally tell you why I think this way." Your eyes focused on his face now. "Okay... Let me tell you something. It's not a surprise that you've made some pretty bad decisions in your life, and you've hurt a lot of people. You think you're a monster, and you don't deserve to be loved. You were never more wrong.
"In this group, you probably won't find one spotless person. We are people that made huge mistakes. You don't have to look far." You grabbed his hand without thinking. It was an impulse that just felt right. "I was a reckless kid when I got these powers. No one was there to guide me through them, learn how to be in control. And to a bullied kid like me, it was something that made me feel better than others. I was the one on the top. With my mortal mum that couldn't handle the demigod kid and my godly father that had so many half-blood children he didn't give a shit about, no one could stop me. The bullied became the bully. I don't like to call myself that, but this is true. I went through hell, and I made sure they felt the same way. I'm not proud of it, but that is who I was.
"So you have me. And then there's former HYDRA's witch, a billionaire who made deadly weapons, former Russian spy, former HYDRA's most famous brainwashed assassin and etcetera. Welcome, you're just as messed up as we are. Being here with us is your chance to become a better man. You belong here, Loki. Trust me."
At that moment, something broke inside of him. For a second, he stopped being a mysterious, private God of Mischief that didn't want to let in anybody. He let go of all the concerns and worries that had been occupying his mind for far too long. He threw away the image of a monster he considered himself to be.
The words you spoke made him realize that as long as you were next to him, there was nothing he couldn't do. You were the key to his pure heart from the beginning. You were the answer he'd been looking for all along. You were the light that could sweep away the darkness that'd been consuming him from within, and he wanted you to shine beside him forever.
When Loki leaned over to your ear, all you could feel was his warm, shaky breath on your neck that sent the shivers down your spine. "Don't hate me for this." He whispered almost inaudibly as his hands found their way to your hips. His long, lean fingers quite roughly pressed onto your skin. Just like electricity, his touch pierced through your whole body, made your knees get weaker. Your senses were fogged, almost like you were under control. All you could focus on was how his mellowy soft lips felt against yours. The kiss was sweet and passionate, yet gentle at the same time. It wasn't hasty and rough like you'd expect it to be, no. There was something else, something special about it. It was Loki's way to describe every little feeling he had for you. Your adorable smiles you'd been giving him, slight touches you didn't even think he noticed, tea and sympathy. It was all for what he wanted to return the favor.
For a moment, you weren't sure if this was real. Was it just a pure imagination of your mind that was thirsty for love and affection? Or maybe it was a trick, fake reality that you'd fallen for so naively? No, it couldn't be. You could feel it. Feel your heart crazily pounded like it wanted to escape the cage in which it was held for far too long. It was the only thing that helped you stay sober.
You didn't want to stop this. You wanted to stay in this moment forever, scared that once it ended, it would never come back.
"Loki..." You started when you two pulled out to catch a breath. "I could never hate you for making my dreams come true."
The raven-haired man didn't say anything. In response, he wrapped his arms around your still weak body and brought you even closer, so there was no space left between you and him. You felt his chin gently placed on the top of your head. With a smile on your face, you embraced him tightly and snuggled your face onto his chest. All that you heard was his heart pounding fast in the same rhythm as yours, as the subtle hum of the Hudson River accompanied your feelings growing for each other at that moment.

Your Mask - (Dark!Tony Stark x Reader).
Warnings! 18+ adult content, Non Con/dub con, kidnapping, smut, Dark!, blackmail.
AN - If you’re new here this is for a collection of Dark!Avenger one shots where the avengers one by one manipulate/kidnap the reader. You can read this fic alone or with the others. I think it’s best to read them in order if you want to read all of them but you do you. Here’s the masterlist for that.
...ok yeah also I said I was going to do bucky but as I started planning out his story I realized it needs to go after most of the others. I have outlines for everyone now and (as long as I don’t change anything) It will go Natasha, Sam, Thor, Bucky, Loki.
word count: 2.7k
Strength. It’s been a theme throughout your life. You had to be strong growing up when your parents divorced and your father left. You were strong in school, graduating top of your class while working nights and weekends to help support you and your mother. You had to be strong when your mother died and you were left alone freshman year of college.You were strong when you landed a high level position in finance after graduation. You’ve been strong every day since, being a leader, someone whose confidence radiates through their entire  being.
Sometimes though when it’s quiet and you’re alone in your thoughts you get tired. Tired of being strong, of fighting every second of every day to make it in a world that wants to pull you down. You’re tired of pretending because you know that underneath it all you’re not strong at all. You’ve put on this mask of strength and it’s carried your farther than you could ever dream. You know though that one day it will carry you too far and the mask will be knocked off, showing who you really are, just a scared little girl pretending to be someone she isn’t
---
You look at the dresses your assistant pulled for you, picking out a long red one with a slit up the thigh. You pair it with a red lipstick and simple diamond jewelry. It’s perfect, you’re perfect you think looking at yourself in the mirror. You tell yourself that you’re everything you need before heading out the door and to your waiting car.
Stark tower is decorated from top to bottom with beautiful icicle themed displays. While magnificent the decor feels formidable, almost a warning not to walk in. You can’t stay on top without attending things like this. You take a breath before walking through the crowd, making your way to the bar, and ordering a red wine. A little liquid courage always helps in these environments. You find an acquaintance and smile, reaching your hand out.
“John.”
“Y/N, fancy seeing you here,” he says sarcastically
“Hey now, I show up to these things sometimes,” You joke.
“It has been a long time, which reminds me that we need to get together and talk business. I won’t let you get out of it this time,” you continue.
“You got me, I’ll have my assistant contact yours to set up a meeting.” John laughs and waves his hand before walking away.
You keep up a cheerful disposition as you make your way through the crowd, networking. It’s what you’re best at and how you came out on top after graduation. You have a way about you, always able to lure people in to get what you want. You head to the bar to refill your wine not looking as you turn back to the crowd. You bump into someone and spill a drop of wine on their suit.
“Oh I’m sorry.”
The man turns and you immediately recognize him.
“Mr. Stark. I swear it was an accident.” You turn back to the bar and get a napkin, dabbing the small spot of wine. You don’t want to think about how much his suit cost.
He gives a genuine smile and reaches out, gently stroking your arm before grabbing the napkin from your hand.
“It’s ok, I don’t think we’ve met?”
“Oh yeah, I’m Y/N.”
“I’ve heard of you.” He says.
You’ve heard that Mr. Stark is a flirt but as you talk it feels like more than that. There’s a look in his eyes that screams sex and you can’t look away. You feel like he could swallow you whole just with a look. You want nothing more in this moment for that to happen. You want him and you’re accustomed to getting what you want.
Tony reaches out his hand and you mirror him, ready to follow him to his room when a cough comes from beside you. Captain America smiles wide at you and you drop your hand smiling back at him. To his right is a smiling woman, hanging on his arm.
“And who is this?”
“This is Y/N. She’s caught my attention,” Tony says, giving a small nod as he says your name.
“You can call me Steve,” Steve says, smiling even bigger.
The woman slowly loses her smile, looking back and forth between you and Tony.
“No, Tony don’t.”
Tony clenches his jaw and Steve Leans over and whispers something in the woman's ear.
“My wife is tired. I think we’re going to head up now,” Steve says abruptly.
You make eye contact with the woman and she gives you a sad smile before turning away. They walk off together hand and hand and you make a face at Tony.
“Is she ok?”
Tony shrugs.
“She’s always been super weird. Steve loves her though so I let it be.”
You nod and look at your watch.
“Hey?” Tony says, pulling your attention back to him.
“Yes?”
“Do you want to see my room?”
“What are you implying?” you smile and he leans in.
“Sex?”
You laugh and follow him up to his room. He undoes his tie pulling it off and you slip your dress over your head and throw it on the floor, kicking your heels off. You pull Tony in for a kiss before knocking him onto the bed, peppering soft kisses over his chest. You move your hand down to his hardening cock, stroking it as it starts to throb. He pulls your face up and kisses you back. He nips at your shoulder as you line his dick up at your entrance and slide your body down slowly. You ride him, taking what you want. You feel an orgasm building, you’re so close. Tony slaps your thigh hard, bringing you out of the moment and you let out a whine, opening your eyes.  He flips you over and thrusts deep and hard into you. You push against him and him against you, rolling around the bed.  it’s the most passionate sex you’ve ever had and when it’s over you can’t help but spend several minutes repeating ‘what the fuck’ over and over again in your head. Finally, you get up and make your way to his bathroom, coming out several minutes later with an empty bladder and clean thighs. You pull your dress on and loof for The discarded red thong you had been wearing, ultimately deciding to just leave it, you can buy more.
“Where are you going?” Tony asks.
“Home,” you reply.
Tony’s face goes hard and he sits up in bed, crossing his arms.
“Oh, the sex was great sweety but that’s all it was. I’m not looking for anything serious.”
You watch something happen in Tony, the gears in his brain twist and turn. A sinister smile washes over his face and he lounges back in his bed.
“Have a good evening Y/N, I’ll see you soon.” He says casually.
You leave quickly, calling a car to meet you on the street.
On monday you arrive to a stoic office. Everyone looks at you like you have two heads. Your chest tightens and you start feeling nauseous. You don’t even sit down before your assistant shows up in your office telling you of an emergency board meeting that you’re required to attend. You sit in the meeting as the board explains that they have to let you go.
“I just don’t understand, is it something I did?” you ask.
“We just want to go a different direction.” the CEO answers.
You pack your things and head home, spending no time feeling sorry for yourself. You prepare your resume and start calling all of your many contacts from all over the globe. Nobody wants to hire you or even give an interview. Some won’t even take your calls and you start getting frustrated.
“Stark blackballed you, I’m sorry.” Finally someone tells you.
“Thank you for telling me.”
“Yeah, just don’t tell anyone I told you ok?”
“Yeah of course.”
You hang up the phone and narrow your eyes. What an absolute asshole, you think. He ruined someones career because of sex. You stand up and storm over to Stark Tower demanding to be seen. Tony is obviously expecting you. He sits in his big office chair looking at you all smug and offers you a coffee. You don’t have the patience for whatever he’s doing and cut right to the chase.
“You blackballed me?”
Tony shrugs.
“I could go to the police,” you say.
“And say what? They won’t do anything to me, I’m a superhero and my wealth and influence is more than you could imagine.”
You want to punch him in the face, or maybe strangle him. If you had a pack of dogs you would definitely let them loose on him right now. Instead you raise your middle finger up and shout a very hostile string of vulgar insults before turning on your heel to storm out.
“I have a position available for you.” Tony says as you reach the door.
You turn back and cross your arms.
“Same salary you had before. Work here for a year and I’ll get you a job anywhere.”
“Why are you doing this? I don’t get your motivation.”
Tony taps his finger on his desk.
“I’ll send over the contract.”
It’s no use trying to get anything out of him and you know it. You go home and steam, pacing anxiously around your apartment and drinking. The contract arrives later in the evening and you look over it. The job is legitimate and good, actually better than your previous position. If he had just offered you the job you would have taken it but now, you shake your head,  Now there’s nowhere else for you to go. You sign the contract and send it back.
---
You arrive at work on monday and organize your desk. It’s a nice office with a big window and private bathroom. You can do one year, you’ve certainly done worse.
Tony wastes no time visiting your office. He drops off flowers and chocolates and sends you dirty messages. You ignore it, knowing that anything you do will just spur him on more. It all becomes worse when you’re forced to start bringing files to Tony's personal quarters. You take a breath and knock on his door. When he opens you shove the files at him and start walking away. Tony follows you out and stops you, shoving you against the wall. You make yourself tall, shoving him back.
“This is not ok Tony, you need to stop this weird obsessive behavior.”
“You like it, I know you do.”
He shoves you again and your head hits the wall. You cry out and a woman you don’t recognize appears from behind a corner. She wears an apron and carries a duster so you assume she’s a housekeeper.
“Is everything ok?” She asks.
“We’re fine, you can leave for the night.”
The woman looks back and forth between you and Tony. You give her a small nod and a big customer service smile and she nods back before disappearing around the corner.
“Seriously, this needs to stop or I walk.”
“You won’t find another job if you walk.”
“I have savings.”
Tony looks away and runs his hand through his hair.
“You win this round, I’ll stay away.”
He runs a finger down your cheek before stepping away.
“I’m patient.”
You visibly cringe. He’s patient? You don’t know what he even means by that. Does he think you’ll change your mind and come to him? You should walk right now. You can find a little house in the countryside and live a simple life. Your rational brain reminds you that he would follow you. There’s nowhere you can go outside of his influence. You glare at him and retreat, not looking back.
---
The next several weeks are quiet. Despite everything, you like your job. The people who
work for Stark are well paid and happy. If it wasn’t for Tony you would stay in the company indefinitely.
There’s no way you could anticipate what’s in the letter you get, so sweetly wrapped up like a present. You open it expecting the same sort of stuff Tony always sends. Maybe it’s tickets to a basketball game or a gift certificate for a massage with a flashy and inappropriate message attached, always with the inappropriate messages.
It’s not what you expect at all. You start shaking as you read every last bit and at the end you pick your phone up and call Tony.
“Come on up,” He says.
You stand at the elevator. You could turn around right now and leave, get all of your money and flee the country. You turn around and see a security guard looking at you. He holds a walky talky up to his mouth and waits. With a sigh, you press the button and go up. Tony waits for you on an empty floor, smiling wide.
“Don’t the avengers live here?”
“They’re out right now, it’s just you and me.”
He walks toward you and you back away a step for every one he takes. You eye the elevator.
“You won’t be leaving this floor for some time. If you behave we’ll see about you going back to work.”
“Why are you doing this to me?” you whisper.
“Watching Steve with his girl just… I want that.”
“So ask someone on a date?”
“I want you.”
“Why?”
Tony finally reaches you, taking your chin and pulling it up.
“At first it was like a game that I wanted desperately to win. Now It’s love.”
You want to throw up. You look back at the papers in your hand. He thought of everything. He has a detailed background check and list of every single friend and family member. He knows all of your passwords. He has a month worth of pictures of the two of you that he’s already started leaking to the press. To everyone else it looks like you’ve already been in a relationship. Worst of all he has video of you in your office holding files and carrying them out of the office. He has an intricate outline of how he’s able to frame you and send you to prison if he wants.
“It wouldn’t be a very fun game if I didn’t give you at least a chance to win. In one year I’ll ask you if you want to leave and if you say yes I’ll let you go.”
He raises his arm up and lands a slap across your face.
“You’ll break in a week though.”
Tears fall from your eyes for the first time since your mother died. Tony gestures for you to come with him and you do, following him without argument. He pushes you onto his bed and removes your underwear, lifting your skirt up.
“Open up baby,” He says pushing against your legs.
Your legs shake as you open them. He gives your pussy a small slap before climbing on top of you and thrusting in. He holds you down as he takes you, eyeing your tear stained face posessively.
“Hey, don’t be sad princess.”
He reaches down to your clit and starts circling it, forcing your body to betray you. You cling to him as your orgasm washes over you and he in turn comes, filling you with so much cum it starts dripping out. You try to go to the bathroom but he grabs your hand and pulls you back to the bed.
“This time you’ll stay.”
---
You’ve always been strong, you had to be. Your strength is what got you into this mess and you realize now, crying alone in Tony’s room, that your strength is not enough to get you out. The mask you wore for so long was just that, a mask, and now it’s been stolen and worn like a trophy by someone else. You know you’ll never get it back, that in one year Tony will ask you if you want to leave and you won’t have the strength to say yes.

Arachnid Enigma - Irondad and Spiderson
Inspired by a headcanon from @cassiecasyl
“I just had this thought... Tony suddenly gets hyperfixated on spiders and noone knows why. The first time the Avengers notice it's on a mission and it's not weird, he's a genius after all, they figure he just knows stuff. But then he begins rambling about spiders randomly. And sometimes he speaks about some issues like it's personal experience but he doesn't have a pet spider, Nat confirmed that?? What is going on???”
And an addition to it by @savvysass
“Lmao then spiderman walks in and they r like ah. Ok.”
............................................................................................
Also, this is an Irondad and Spiderson fic. I do NOT ship Starker for obvious reasons. If you do, I would like you to leave my blog.
🦸‍♀️🦹‍♂️🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️ 🦸‍♀️🦹‍♂️🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️ 🦸‍♀️🦹‍♂️🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️ 🦸‍♀️🦹‍♂️🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️ 🦸‍♀️🦹‍♂️🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️ 🦸‍♀️🦹‍♂️🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️
There have been several times Tony Stark has displayed a fascination with arachnids. The first time Tony ever mentioned spiders was on a stealth mission in Bhutan where a HYDRA base had been spotted. It was supposed to be relatively easy, break in, grab intel, don’t be seen, and get out. It was a successful mission but not everything went according to plan.
“I’m in” Steve spoke into his comms as he looked around the HYDRA base he had just infiltrated. “No sign of any people, just a lot of spiders and dust”, he added, eyeing the critters that scuttled around the dark and grimy area.
“Of course there are,” Tony commented, “HYDRA isn’t exactly a stickler for cleanliness, and spiders love dirty, sooty, nasty areas to live in”. Steve proceeded to roll his eyes at the obvious remark. It was just Tony being Tony.
“Has everyone managed to locate the entrance?”, The Captain inquired, getting plenty of affirmative responses. Soon enough, everyone managed to enter the building and joined Steve in the large room he stood in.
There was no illumination except for the few rays sunlight that filtered in through the cathedral window. Just as Steve had said, there was an immense amount of dust settled all over the floor, window, and grand staircase that led to the second floor, along with a lot of arachnids. Clint stepped forward, accidentally crunching a couple of spiders under his foot. Tony clenched his jaw tightly, “Don’t. DO THAT!” he hissed extremely loudly, alarming everyone.
Clint gulped, “Geez, sorry”. Unfortunately for the team of heroes, Tony had not only surprised his colleagues but the occupants of the building too. Shuffling and a lot of movement was heard, and before the Avengers could retreat, the enemy confronted them.
“Great work Tony”, Natasha mumbled angrily under her breath when she saw several HYDRA agents rushing down the stairs. Earth’s mightiest heroes worked quickly and efficiently to take out the flocks and flocks of operatives running at them. Although it wasn’t a very hard job, it still took out the stealth element out of their job.
After the oncoming threat was wiped out and the data they needed had been collected, the team swiftly exited the base and entered the quinjet where Bruce was waiting for them. “What happened?” the scientist asked, inspecting his friends who were covered in gore.
Sam sighed, “Tony happened”, he stated simply.
Another time Tony spoke of the arachnids was when they had a day off, and decided to spend them with Clint’s family at their farm. It was around now that a few of the heroes began to suspect that Tony wasn’t just knowledgeable about the eight legged critters, but he was utterly fascinated by them.
“Thank you again for having us Laura” Wanda said, earning a kind smile from Clint’s wife.
“It was no problem at all!” she responded, putting together some quick snacks for the whole team.
The Avengers had a great time with the Bartons. Chatting and laughing, gossiping and giggling. It was fun. Just before they were about to leave and as Clint kissed his wife goodbye, a little shriek was heard. It was Nathaniel Barton.
Everybody was alarmed at first, thinking something terrible had happened to the boy, but when they saw the cause, they couldn’t help burst out laughing. A large house spider was crawling on Nathaniel’s show. Although spiders were the cause of a rational phobia, the team of heroes did not fear the hairy critter before them.
Tony stepped forward and picked up the spider, placing it somewhere it would be safe, and also where Nathaniel wouldn’t freak out over it. He then turned to the youngest Barton child, “Don’t worry kid,” he began “spiders are great creatures! Honestly, they’re really cute, and nice, and brave”.
Thor snickered, “You speak of spiders as if they’re people”. Tony opened his mouth to say something, but then hurriedly shut it and looked away from the group. Tony was quiet. That was a first. What was happening to Tony?
Meanwhile, Rhodey stood in the corner, looking at the confused glances his friends gave each other as they attempted to figure out what was causing Tony’s new behavior. He smiled, and this didn’t go unnoticed by Loki who narrowed his eyes slightly and chewed his lip in thought. What did Colonel James know?
To mention one more instance in which Tony displayed an unusual interest in spiders was just the day after the Avengers visit to the Bartons. Nick Fury had brought his pet tarantula to work and the team was crowded around it.
“What’s his name?” Sam curiously inquired.
“It’s Bert,” the director responded, sounding rather bored, “I got him from Agent Hill’s house,  she despises spiders”.
Tony looked at Maria, who was standing quite far away from Bert, cautiously watching him. “Don’t be scared Maria!” he exclaimed, “They’re gentle, come closer”. The agent’s eyes widened in fear and she rapidly shook her head which made a few of the Avengers chuckle. “Come on”, Tony encouraged.
Maria looked around the room for an escape, but seeing that everyone in the room had conveniently blocked the exits she sighed and walked closer. “Go on and pet him”, Fury remarked, clearly amused at the situation. Agent Hill desperately wanted to refuse but she didn’t want to chicken out so she carefully held out a finger and ran it over the tarantula’s hairy body.
She wanted to puke.
“See! It’s not so bad!” Steve said, smiling at her. Still, the agent quickly pulled away. Spiders were definitely not her thing. “Yes, spiders are just as scared of humans and some humans are of them,” Tony began, “they’re quite shy actually but very gentle! They won’t hurt anybody unless they feel provoked-”
“What is it with you and spiders?” Bruce cut him off with a playful grin. The genius billionaire playboy philanthropist froze and all the humor initially on his features disappeared. Everyone noticed this change in behavior and Bruce fidgeted uncomfortably, believing he had upset his lab buddy. “I mean... you just speak of them a lot, do you have like a pet spider or something?”
Tony remained quiet but Natasha answered, “No, he doesn’t have any pets”. The group turned to the redheaded assassin and she shrugged, “What? I’m a spy, I know stuff”.
A silence fell over once again, and it was interrupted by Tony. “Oh! I got a business meeting soon, see you guys later”, and with that, he turned and trudged away just as Phil Coulson walked in. Tony bumped into him, “Sorry Agent” he mumbled quietly before proceeding to walk out.
Phil shot Nick and Maria a confused look, and both returned it. The Avengers on the other hand knew for sure something was up.
The last time the Avengers wondered about Tony’s obsession with spiders was also the time they found out its cause. The entire team was just about to enter Tony’s lab.
“Sleep well spidey boy” are exactly the words the Avengers heard Tony whisper before they could walk into his lab. They all heard it, and looked around at each other for confirmation that they were hearing the right thing. They then proceeded to have a conversation right outside Tony’s work space. A quick one, in which they decided it was time to confront Tony about his spider problem. There was nothing wrong with loving them, but talking to a spider? This was unhealthy.
So they opened the door to the lab and walked in on a very surprised Tony Stark, his face paled, but he regained his composure. “Heyyyy, what’s up guys?” he asked, casually leaning against a wall.
His superhero friends looked at him sadly and Steve stepped forward, “Tony, I think it’s time we talked about-” he was interrupted by a snore. Captain America agitatedly glanced back, “Can you guys please be serious?”, he requested. However, everyone behind him was looking confused.
Then a cough was heard, then another, it then developed into a coughing fit. Then there was silence. Until there wasn’t. “Oh shoot! I am so sorry Mr Stark, did I disturb yo-... OH MY GOD IT’S THE AVENGERS!”, a voice came from the ceiling. The group collectively looked up and saw a boy, no older than 16 with wavy brown hair and adorable doe brown eyes gaping at them.
Tony tiredly rubbed his eyes, “Hope you had a nice nap Peter,” he said, “Come down now”. The boy, Peter, obliged and hopped down from the ceiling without injuring himself.
“How did you do that? Stick to the ceiling I mean” Bucky asked.
Peter looked at the super soldier and smiled brightly, “I’m spiderman!”, he practically yelled, “It’s what I do!”. The Avengers all looked at this young boy in shock.
“The kid from Queens?” Wanda asked.
“Yea, the kid from Queens,” Rhodey confirmed, “Tony kept Peter a secret this whole time as so not to endanger him”.
The billionaire nodded and smiled sheepishly, “Secrets out now I guess...” he murmured.
There was silence, it wasn’t awkward or comfortable. It was the kind of silence that hung in the air after a huge revelation... It was astounded silence.
Tony broke it, he placed a hand on Peter’s shoulder and began guiding him out the room, “Come on kid, let’s go get some cheeseburgers”. With that, they stepped out the lab and left the rest of the people still standing there, completely appalled.
Steve turned back to the group he had led into the lab, “Well... that kind of explains the interest in spiders I guess...”

5 times Steve stood between vehicles and 1 time Tony did.
44. Standing between them and a busy road. 1.4k words, stevetony, fluff
*
Steve doesn’t even think about it.
They’re walking along with their friends ahead of them, Tony caught up in his rant about how Mr. Vanko is out to get him as they’re coming up to the crosswalk and Steve simply switches sides to put himself between the cars and Tony without a pause in this one-way conversation.
He just watches and laughs at Tony antics as they enter the diner and wishes he could hold Tony’s hand as they walk.
**
MassArt is only 18 minutes away from MIT when he cycles, but Steve hasn’t seen Tony for nearly a week - both of them caught up with assignments and well, Tony’s been caught up with his new friend - Rhodey.
Steve hasn’t met him yet, but Tony hasn’t stopped singing praises about the man via text and Steve - he’s not jealous or anything, he just wants to make sure that this Rhodey has good intentions, that’s all.
That’s the only reason he’s pedalling like his life depends on it to meet Tony and his roommate for brunch.
He gets to Luna in 15 minutes and chains his bicycle to the rack. He’s looking around for Tony when someone jumps on his back.
“Surprise!” Tony shouts in his ear.
“Glad to see college life hasn’t changed you, Tony,” Steve says, as Tony gets down.
Someone clears their throat behind Steve and he turns to see a man, looking at Steve suspiciously.
Ah, Rhodey. “So, you’re the infamous Steve that Tony hasn’t shut up about, huh,” he says and Steve watches Tony’s face turn pink.
“Rhodey,” he hisses and the other man grins, holding his hand out.
“Well, I’ve heard plenty of you too,” Steve says, shaking his hand. “You’re all Tony talks about these days besides his lab.”
“Oh, God, just kill me,” Tony mutters. “Let’s go eat, I’m starving.”
“Unsurprising, seeing as all you had to eat yesterday was a packet of blueberries and my entire pot of coffee.”
“Rhodey! Stop ratting me out,” Tony says as he shrugs at the glare Steve sends him.
“Tony, you can’t just -”
“I know, I know, I just got distracted. Come on you two mother hens, watch me eat my weight in breakfast foods,” he says pressing the button at the crosswalk light.
“There better be a vegetable somewhere in there,” Steve says, not entirely jokingly as he moves to stand to Tony’s left and bumps into Rhodes.
“Oh, sorry,” he says, moving to stand next to the other man, watching two cars roll to a stop as the light signals for them to cross.
Brunch itself goes well, and Steve finds he quite likes Rhodes and the man’s sense of humour but something in him untightens from it’s knot when he takes his leave to meet up for a date with someone named Carol, ruffling Tony’s hair when he wags his eyebrows at him and giving Steve a firm handshake, leaving the both of them to themselves.
Steve can’t help the warm feeling that takes root as he realises how much it feels like a date.
***
The moving truck is parked in front of the building so Steve parks his jeep on the other side of the street and Tony jumps right out the moment the car stills.
Steve sighs, getting out to get the boxes in the backseat and trying his hardest not to laugh as Tony grabs the heaviest one before Steve can reach it, clearly struggling under its weight.
“Baby, stop okay- you’re right, you’re big and strong and I’m sorry if I ever insinuated otherwise, so why don’t you just give me -”
Tony glares at him from over the top of the box as he reaches for it. “You didn’t insinuate anything! You said I’m small and should leave carrying the big heavy boxes to you Mr. Macho Man!”
He slams the door with his foot and Steve winces. “Well, I’ll carry this one and you can get the smaller one!”
Steve sighs, wondering just how long Tony is going to be mad at him for his slip of tongue, putting up his hand in thanks to the driver who waits for them to cross to their new apartment.
A place just for them.
He grins when they get to the door, placing the boxes just outside before sweeping Tony up, carrying him over the threshold.
“Hey!” Tony calls out, glaring up at Steve. “Alright, alright, you’re so big and strong. There’s no need to show off now,” he says, dropping the box to the floor.
It lands with a solid thunk and Steve frowns at him. “You’re so lucky that was just clothes and not something more fragile.”
Tony just winds his hands around Steve’s neck and kisses the frown of his face.
****
“The wedding was gorgeous, don’t you think,” Tony says, swinging their arms by their intertwined pinkies.
“It was,” Steve says, tugging Tony back onto the sidewalk as a car passes by, switching to stand to the right as they cross to the hotel for the reception.
“Thor’s dad is a real piece of work though,” Tony continues. “Bruce practically turned green when Nat came to tell us that he showed up.”
“Thor didn’t fare much better when he found out, - though he probably took it better than Loki did,” Steve tells him.
“Unsurprising seeing as how his cold shoulder is practically frostbite,” Tony says. “If I ever got married and Howard showed up, I’d be less graceful than Thor was, that’s for sure.”
“If, huh?” Steve grins at him as they enter the reception hall. “What happened to Mr. I would rather die than have all my family gathered together?”
Tony looks to where they’re friends are all seated together - near the now married couple before looking up at Steve, “Guess family means something else to me know,” he says and Steve - Steve doesn’t say anything to that, just kisses the top of Tony’s head and thinks about the ring hidden in the back of his sock drawer.
*****
Tony’s light radiates even brighter in Italy.
There’s a giddiness in his voice, in every step he takes as he shows Steve around his favourite places he’d visit in the summers with his mother.
And well, being newlyweds probably adds another layer to it too.
The villa in Ostia that Tony’s mother had given them as a wedding present was gorgeous, the view of the moonlight on the water a perfect backdrop for their nights spent as husbands.
They fly to Florence in the morning, but for tonight they’re wandering the streets after eating their filling of ravioli and having far too much wine, listing into each other as they dance along the cobblestones and all Steve is able to think is - I love you, I love you, I love you - so he says it aloud and Tony kisses the words back into his mouth.
“Take me to bed, mio marito,” Tony says and Steve bundles Tony to his side as they cross the roads back to the villa, watchful of the vespas zipping through the streets and kissing Tony under the moonlight anytime they pause on their way.
******
Tony’s always anxious walking the streets of New York with Peter in tow so Steve placing him atop his shoulders as they walk to get ice-cream eases him and Tony suspects Steve knows it.
“Papa, I’m so tall now,” Peter says, clutching the top of Steve’s head and Tony nearly laughs at the way it causes his blonde hair sticks up in all directions.
“Yeah, Petey give it just two more years and you’ll be taller than your papa is,” Steve says, laughing at the affronted look on Tony’s face.
“Dad, it’s not that hard to be taller than papa,” Peter says, and Steve laughs even harder at that.
“That’s it! The both of you aren’t getting any ice-cream, I’m going to eat it all,” Tony says and watches Peter’s eyes go wide.
“No, no, Papa - I’m sorry if I made you upset,” jostling Steve as he tries to reach his hand out to hold onto Tony’s.
Tony offers him his pinky, letting him know he’s not actually mad. “Maybe - Maybe dad can let you go on his shoulders! Then all of us can be tall!”
Steve gives a huff of laughter as they cross the road, Tony resisting the urge to flip off the cab honking at them lest Peter look over. “I’ll let Dada climb onto my shoulders later if he wants,” Steve says, shooting Tony a grin as they enter the ice-cream shop and Tony rolls his eyes at him.
Peter climbs off Steve’s back and bounds his way over to the display.
Steve kisses Tony’s fingertips and says, “I’ll get your usual,” before joining their son and Tony - Tony think the ice-cream is gonna instantly melt in his mouth from how warm he feels as he looks at his family.

Choosing Between Two Loves Part 8 ~ Back In The States
Summary: You were a Goddess named (Y/N), who had powers similar to Thor and even stronger, you joined the Avengers back when Loki had tried to take over New York. You were great friends with most of them. Tony Stark was someone you were always in love with even though you knew you could never have him. However that all changes when you get to know a certain super soldier....
“Hey I’m coming back for a while, I need to check in on Sam.” you left a voicemail to Bucky. You weren’t able to get a hold of him yet, in the meantime you were on your way to meet Sam.
You arrived at the museum just in time to catch him make his official statement of turning in the shield. It didn’t feel right to you, anything about it.
“Well look who’s here!?” Sam yelled when he saw you, “Hi Sam, how are you holding up?”, you asked pulling him in for a hug, “I’m okay, I’m seeing my sister in a few days now that I’ve turned in the shield” he said to you. “Why’d you do it Sam?”, “Just didn’t feel right (Y/N), it’s hard to explain but it didn’t feel like it belonged to me” he said. “I understand but don’t be surprised when these people pick someone else” you said, Sam looked at you confused, “You know something I don’t?” he asked, “No Sam but after years upon YEARS of being alive, you start noticing... patterns” you explained to him.
You guys walked down the museum looking at Steve’s items, you bumped into Rhodey, you guys hadn’t seen each other in a while. “How long you here for?” Rhodey asked, “Ehh I don’t know, I feel like things are about to go bad, might stick around longer than I intended to” you said to him. You said your goodbyes, now you headed over to Bucky’s, you were excited to see him.
You arrived at Bucky’s new place, you hadn’t heard back from him, you figured he was busy. You walked up the stairs to knock on his door, nothing, no one was home. You sat down on the steps, planning on waiting for him, taking out your phone to check your emails, anything to make time go by.
After almost two hours, you saw him walking up. He looked distraught and then  surprised to see you. “Hey Bucky, are you okay?” you asked him. “Yeah I’ve had a long day, therapy and all that” he said trying to show a smile, “What are you doing here?” he asked, “I left you a voicemail, I’m back in town for a while, the whole thing with Sam, he shouldn’t be alone and .... I wanted to see you”, you said honestly. He took out his house keys to open the door, “Come on in, sorry it’s not uhmm furnished” he said almost embarrassed, “Bucky I’m here to see you not to critic your home” you joked.
You and Bucky were talking for about half an hour when you heard a knock on the door. “I’ll go get it” you said since he was washing his hands. You opened the door to see a young Asian lady standing there, “Oh I’m sorry, I thought this was James place” she said, you were confused at first but remembered that Bucky’s actual name was James. “Sorry, we were on a date and he just sort of booked it out” she explained, a date -- that hurt to hear, you didn’t know Bucky had been dating. “I’m sorry! Yes, James lives here, I’m sorry where are my manners, I’m (Y/N)” you said to her shaking her hand, “Are you his-”, “Friend, I just got in town from Europe but he’s only my friend” you said to her. Bucky thought you were taking a while at the door, he walked over to see who it was, he was mortified to see the girl he was just on a date with and you conversing. He was hoping that she hadn’t mentioned anything about a date to you. “James......someone is here to see you” you said when you spotted him peeking, you opened the door all the way to let her come inside, “I’ll take a walk okay” you said while heading out the door.
You were walking six blocks down, you had forgotten your phone since you practically ran out at the sound of hearing her say a date. You knew Bucky and you were only friends but after hearing what Steve told you and Bucky himself always being flirty, you thought there might have been something more than just friendship. Maybe Bucky was flirty with everyone, maybe Steve lied to you about Bucky liking you so you can keep an eye on him when he was gone. All these different emotions were running through your head, you hated it.
You figured it was long enough time for you to head back to Bucky’s place since you did leave your belongings there, that was the only reason you had to return to face him. You decided you were going to put on a brave face, act like nothing was wrong. You walked back up the stairs towards his door, you knocked on it and it immediately flew open, Bucky standing there.
“Thank god, I thought something happened to you, I tried to call you but you left your phone here” he said relieved to see you, “Well I’m back in one piece. I don’t know why you worry Bucky, I am a goddess remember?” you joked. Bucky rolled his eyes at you but moved over so you could walk inside, you headed straight to grab your phone and purse, “Leaving so soon?” he asked you, “Yeah I have to unpack back at my place” you said, “You have a place here in town?”, “Yeahhhh, Bucky I practically have a place almost everywhere I visit often” you explained to him, “Then why are you leaving so soon (Y/N)?” he asked confused, “I don’t know I figured you might want to head back to that date” you said almost sarcastically, unfortunately Bucky caught the end of your tone. “Ohhh I see so this is what this is about, you’re jealous?” he smirked at you, that annoyed the shit out of you. “First of all wipe that smirk off your face, I don’t get jealous about anything, she seemed like a sweet girl so maybe you shouldn’t have run off from your date with her” you said. “I didn’t run off...okay maybe I did...I didn’t want to really go on a date with her but this sweet old man set me up with her and I felt bad saying no because-”, “Bucky, you don’t need to explain shit to me, if you want to date people that’s fine by me” you said coldly, heading out his front door, you felt him grab your arm, “Wait!” he said, “What?” you asked looking back at him, “I’m telling you the truth” he said, “Do whatever you want Bucky, but maybe next time don’t make me feel like an idiot” you spat at him. He still didn’t let you go, “I only like you (Y/N), please don’t go” he pleaded, “I think it’s time we talked about us” he added, you sighed, “We already did Bucky, we both agreed to stay friends, may I add your words ‘I’m not ready for a relationship’” you said. Bucky rolled his eyes, mainly for being mad at himself for saying that, “Well that guy who told you that is an idiot” he joked, giving you a soft smile, “Please don’t go yet” this time giving you puppy dog eyes, “You’re......fine, I’m only staying for a bit”.
You were sitting down next to him, you guys were watching tv, while catching up on almost everything. “Are you dating anyone?” he asked you, “No, I have no time for that” you said chuckling, “Bullshit” he said to you, “Fine---there’s this guy that I really like” you shared, feeling your heart rate picking up, Bucky turned to look at you, “And?”, “And I don’t know, we’re great friends but-”, when you looked up Bucky was slowly leaning in closer to your face, you felt your heart beating faster now. “And does he like you back?” he asked almost teasing you, “I don’t know, he hasn’t showed me if he does” you whispered. Bucky then reached his right hand out to pull you closer to his face, locking his lips in with yours, you slightly opened your mouth, he took it as an invitation to touch his tongue with yours, he carressed your cheek, not letting his lips move from your own. “Buck--” you sighed, “Mhmmm”, “I really really like you”, “But?”, “I also care about you and know that you need to work on yourself first” you explained to him while running your fingers softly through his hair. “I know doll but I like you more than anything” he said, “I’ll give you time Bucky, I’m not going anywhere any time soon remember?” you smiled at him. Bucky sighed, he wanted nothing more than to be with you, to have you as his, but he also knew that you were right about it, he also knew that you would wait for him to get better without leaving his side.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
After the tour, I decide to pay a little visit to my friends at Auradon Prep, Tia and Tavian, my favorite twins from Louisiana and drama club captains.
”Yo, Adri! What’s up?” Tavian says.
”Long time no see, how y’all doing?” I ask.
”Good now that there’s some peace and quiet,” Tia says, looking up towards the top of the stage.
”Not my fault you guys are so boring,” A voice says from the rafters.
I look up and see a guy with large wings, almost like a bird’s.
He stares at me, his eyes widening and suddenly he swoops down.
“Holy crap, you’re Adri Ababwa. I’m a big fan,” The guy says now standing in front of me.
”Nice wings man,” I say.
”Thanks, I grew them myself. Mutant powers y’know?” Angel says.
”Mutants?” I ask.
”My dad is a fairy, my mom is a sorceress. I’m Angel, by the way,” He says.
”Angel...by any chance are you the Bell twins’ cousin?” I ask.
He nods.
”They talk about you all the time, I see why now,” I say.
”It’s rare to see mutants in families. Some have wings, have claws in their hands, can shapeshift, that’s probably why I look up to you,” Angel says.
”Cause I can shapeshift into a tiger?” I ask.
”Exactly,” Angel says.
Tia and Tavian stare at us confusedly.
”Power talk,” I say.
The bell rings and the twins collect their things.
”Ooh, Tia! When’s the next time your mom can make me some of her famous gumbo?” I ask.
”If you come with me now, we can stop by her restaurant,” Tia says.
I turn to Angel.
”Wanna come?” I ask.
”Sure,” Angel says.
————
After meeting Angel, I learned some things about mutants and their abilities. This lesson was pretty enlightening and made me feel like I wasn't alone with my curse.
Later, I get a call from a number I don't recognize while walking through the gardens. I pick up the phone.
"Hello?" I say through the phone.
"Hey, Adri. It's been a while," A familiar voice says through the phone.
I recognize the voice to be Stefani, or Lady Gaga through the phone.
"Oh my gosh, Stefani! It's such an honor to talk to you again," I say happily.
I sit under the usual gossip tree to take the call.
"I know. Anyways, darling, I have a little project for you. You're someone who I love and hold dear as an artist, so I want to collaborate with you on a couple of songs for a movie I'm producing a soundtrack for," Stefani says.
"You want to collaborate with me for a motion picture soundtrack?" I ask.
"Mark Ronson is also gonna help and a couple of people from my team too. I was also looking in the credits for your album and I saw your boyfriend did the mixing for a couple of songs. I was hoping you and him might want to tag along on this," Stefani adds.
"I'm sure he would e happy to, but for now all I can say is yes to you on my own behalf. I would absolutely love to," I say with a smile.
"Great! I'll text you meeting details on Friday," Stefani says.
"Great!" I say.
I hang up the phone and giggle. I feel like screaming for joy. So many great things are happening! I guess that's what happens when you hit rock-bottom, you only go up from there. And now, everything is looking up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walk to the gym where I find Jay with Lonnie and the rest of the fencing team.
”Take a break, boys!” Lonnie says, blowing her new captain’s whistle.
Jay spots me by the doors and walks over with a smile on his face.
”Hey, babe,” He greets.
Before he can kiss me, I put my finger over his lips.
”We have songs to write for Gaga,” I say with a smile.
Jay’s smile drops.
”Gaga? As in, Lady Gaga? Grammy award winner, Gaga?” Jay asks.
”She just called me and she wants us to write her songs for a movie,” I say.
Jay smiles widely and lifts me of the ground, hugging me tightly.
“Jesus, why didn’t you tell me sooner? That’s great! What if we win as Oscar or a Grammy or even a Teen choice award? I’m so proud of you,” Jay rants.
I laugh at his reaction to the news.
”Why is Jay smiling like that?” Lonnie asks, coming up to us.
”We get to write music for Lady Gaga,” Jay says proudly.
Lonnie’s jaw drops.
”Congratulations! You deserve it for making such good songs for her album,” Lonnie says, patting Jay’s shoulder.
”Nah, the real mastermind is Adri. Her lyrics and her voice made the songs much more beautiful,” Jay says.
I blush softly and punch his arm shyly.
”Shut up,” I mutter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Jay’s practice, we follow Lonnie to Coach Jenkin’s office.
”There's my favorite captains!” Coach says.
“Oh shush, we know we’re good,” I say with a smirk.
I first bump Lonnie.
”Speaking of Captains, I got word of your schedule changes,” He says, pointing to me and Jay.
”Even though these changes have been made, I still think you’d be able to advise your teams. Especially you, Jay, since Ben is out of action,” Coach explains.
”Are you promoting me?” Jay asks.
”I’m making you Captain of the Tourney team, Jay,” Coach says.
Jay’s jaw drops.
”No way,” Jay says in shock.
“Looks like things are looking up, JJ,” I say with a smile.
Jay’s mouth morphs into a smirk.
”Damn right,” He says.
Coach gives us a soft smile.
”You guys can celebrate or something, but on Monday, I expect you all to adjust,” Coach says.
”Yeah,” We all agree.
Suddenly, the announcements go off.
”Adri Ababwa, please report to Fairy Godmother’s office,” The announcement says.
”Did you get your skateboard taken again?” Jay asks.
”How many times are you gonna get that thing confiscated?” Lonnie asks, rolling her eyes.
”It’s in my locker, chill. I have no idea,” I say, getting up from my seat.
I walk through the door and walk to the office.
I walk into the headmistress’s office and I see Mal and Ben with Fairy Godmother.
”Long time no see,” I say to Ben and Mal.
”Glad you’re here,” Ben says, hugging me.
”We called you here because Mal has a proposal for you,” Fairy Godmother explains.
“Rogers stepped down from his position,” Mal says.
My smile fades. Steve Rogers? Family friend, Avengers, Steve?
”Steve stepped down from Captain? Why?” I ask.
“He and Tony had a dispute after Voltron in Germany. I’ve tried to keep a temporary position since Uma came into the Isle, but we need more troops. I think you’d be the best for it because of your powers and experience. And plus, you're already trusted on the court,” Mal explains.
”Mal, I’d be honored to. But I have to find a way to fit it into my schedule. The only free time I have is around now,” I say.
”So, then you can clock in at 5 and finish at 8,” Ben says.
”It's an intensive training role. You’d pick up recruits, train them, and go to the dungeons,” Ben says.
”Not bad,” I think.
”Fine, I’ll do it,” I say.
”Thank you so much,” Mal says with a smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walk into the base of operations and spot a familiar face. Bucky Barnes, Steve’s best friend, and newest Avenger.
”Hey, metal arm,” I joke.
”Thank god you’re here,” Bucky says, spotting me.
He gives me a side hug.
”What the hell is wrong with Steve?” I ask him.
”Steve doesn’t agree with the new laws set by Rhodes and the Marshall. Since Sokovia, they wanna add restrictions on our powers because of the explosion and because of that telekinesis girl,” Bucky says.
”I mean they did destroy the city too,” I mention.
”The reason for Tony’s nightmares,” Bucky recalls.
”He has nightmares?” I ask.
”Yeah, if Loki ever comes back, he’ll have a malfunction,” Bucky says.
”Let’s hope that his arc reactor surgery saves him,” I say.
Bucky laughs, remembering he doesn’t have a heart.
”Anyways, let me show you around. So, this is the center of the base, here we have our tanks, our fake grenades, our armory, and training center,” Bucky explains.
”And the troops?” I ask.
”I think that’s your job to cause the first commotion,” Bucky says, handing me a grenade.
”Watch this, grandpa,” I say, taking the grenade from his hands.
I toss the grenade into a group of guys.
They all huddle near the grenade trying to cover it and push each other away.
”Hey! What the hell are you sons if bitches doing? If you see an enemy grenade, you take cover!” I yell.
”The hell is this bitch?” One of the guys asks.
”Bitch? I’m not anyone’s bitch, and for the record, I’m your new Captain,” I say.
The troops all mutter and scoff at each other.
”Go home, kid! You’re kidding yourself if you think you’re gonna train us,” Another guy says.
”What’re your names?” I ask the guys.
They both look at me like I’m dumb.
”I’m Jack. This is Lio,” Jack says.
”I’m promoting you,” I say.
They both look at each other in shock.
”Both of you are now my Lieutenants. You’re gonna spend the majority of training by my side. Whoever are Lieutenants, you’re demoted. If there’s anything I know about being a soldier, you’d fight any fight or anyone to make it to the top. As I train each of you, you must be following my direct orders only. I will watch you all carefully and see if any of you demonstrate proper soldiers' skills. That will determine if you are my second in command. New recruits will all be promoted in place of older ones. As long as you keep up with your task, you’re safe. Any bullshit, you’re out, understand?” I say.
Yes ma’am,” The Troops say.
I grab a sword from a barrel and I throw it at Lio.
”Get to work,” I order.
The troops go to their assigned positions and Lio and Jack come towards me.
”Who the hell are y-“ Lío starts.
”Bro, that's Adri Ababwa,” Jack explains.
”The artist?” Lio asks.
“Yeah, I’m a huge fan and I’m so fucking sorry about the way I acted earlier,” Jack apologizes.
”It’s fine, I don’t take shit personally. At least anymore,” I say.
”Bruh, you called her a bitch,” Lio comments.
”Shut up,” Jack mutters.
”Listen, I can already tell you two are friends. So please make this easy for me and shut the fuck up and listen,” I say honestly.
”You know you remind me a lot of Rogers,” Jack says.
”We’re friends,” I say.
”You’re friends with Steve Rogers?” Lio asks.
”Yes, now listen up. We’re gonna do some tactical work. You’re gonna go through the grass here with your rifles, your gonna shoot three birds and bring them to me. Got it?” I order.
”Yes ma’am,” They say.
They then pick up their rifles and crouch through the grass.
They miss every shot when birds pass by. One of them lands on Lio’s head and he coos the bird. I roll my eyes at his action. Then, Jack shoots two birds at once. My eyes widen at his shot. They fall into the grass and he picks them up. Lio shoots a bird and it falls slowly.
”That's one big bird,” Lio comments.
As it falls to the ground I notice it’s not a bird.
“Are fucking stupid? That’s a human, not a bird!” Jack shouts.
I run quickly under the person and they fall in my arms.
”Angel? Jesus, are you okay?” I realize.
The metal winged man winces in pain. I realize his hip is bleeding.
”Lio, what the hell is wrong with you? You shot him in the ribs,” I say.
I place him in the grass and reach for Jack’s medkit. He hands it to me and I open it up. I take a pair of tweezers and some alcohol.
”Sit still,” I advise.
I pry the bullet from his hip slowly and Angel grits his teeth from the pain. The bullet comes out cleanly and I put alcohol on the wound and wrap it up.
”Can you fly?” I ask him.
”Sure,” Angel says.
He uses his wings to fly up straight.
”Now who the fuck mistook me for a hunting duck?” Angel asks.
Jack points to Lio.
”Come on, man,” Lío says exasperatedly to Jack.
”Terrible shot,” Angel comments.
Then he takes the gun from Lio’s hand and shoots a bird. The shot is clean and the bird falls quickly to the grass.
”That's how you shoot,” Angel says, picking up the bird from the grass.
He’s good. And he’s got those wings too.
“Hey, Angel? You got anything to do after school?” I ask him.
”No,” He scoffs.
”Would you be interested in being a troop?” I ask him.
”What?” Lio and Jack ask.
”Well, I’ve got nothing else to do,” Angel says.
I smirk and pat his shoulder.
Later, I give Angel his new uniform and make him another Lieutenant. We continue tactical shooting until sunset.
I then search the premises of the base and look at the other troops. They whisper and smirk as I pass by. Some troops, practice grenade launching, shooting positions, fencing. I think to myself:
”Maybe this is something Jay would be interested in hearing.”
I smirk to myself as I think about how successful Jay has been so far in his time in Auradon. I walk into the training center and spot Bucky talking to a troop.
”Hey, how was your first day?” Bucky asks.
”Could’ve been better, but it means progress,” I say with a soft smile.
”Good to know you’re a hard hitter instead of a soft princess. Kind of like your mom,” Bucky says.
”Don’t mention me and my mom in the same sentence, you 100-year-old soldier. That’s like putting you and Steve in the same sentence about ice,” I say, rolling my eyes.
”Shut the hell up,” Bucky says punching my arm with his regular fist.
”You ever punch me with your vibranium arm, I will kill you,” I warn.
Bucky laughs and leaves me alone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One day at school, Angel and I decided to sit together at lunch. We talk about training and new things I could teach the troops. As we talk about ammunition I spot Jay talking to Ruby Fitzherberg, Rapunzel’s daughter. I see her pressing upon him and twirling her blonde hair. Jay uncomfortably tries to walk away.
”Oh god,” I say, rolling my eyes.
”God what?” Angel asks me.
”Jay is with Ruby,” I say.
”Ruby? The girl who slept with five guys at once? You better scoop your man before she gets him,” Angel advises.
”How do you know that?” I ask.
”What? I’m gay. Of course, I know,” Angel explains.
My eyes widen at his words.
”Huh?” I ask dumbfoundedly.
”I said what I said, I’m gay,” Angel says.
I blink in confusion and stand up from the bench.
I walk over to Jay and Ruby and sling my arm around his shoulder.
“Hey guys,” I say.
”Adri! Nice to see you after you dealt with Angel in the theatre,” Ruby says.
”You were there? I didn’t see you or hear your annoying voice,” I say with a smirk.
”I was just asking Jay whether or not he likes my new hair,” Ruby says flirtatiously towards Jay, ignoring my words.
”Um, it looks the same,” I say.
”That’s what I said,” Jay agrees.
”Come on, I cut it 4 inches!” Ruby says playfully hitting Jay’s arm.
”Excuse me, can you not put your hands on him?” I ask her.
”Why not?” Ruby asks.
”It’s super clear that he’s uncomfortable,” I say.
”No he’s not,” Ruby replies bitterly.
Ruby turns to Jay.
”Adri, can we go?” Jay asks.
”Gladly,” I say through gritted teeth.
I grab Jay’s arm and we walk back to my table.
”Who’s this?” Jay asks, seeing Angel.
”This is Lieutenant Angel, the guy Ruby was talking about,” I say.
”Jay. Jay Farr, I’ve heard quite a bit about you from Adri,” Jay says.
”I’ve heard a lot about you too,” Angel says.
”Anyways, you saw what I saw right?” I ask Angel.
”Um, obviously. Ruby has absolutely no self-control. Hey, I’m gay by the way and if you ever and I mean EVER dump her, you’re either getting a Louboutin heel to the face or a date with me,” Angel says.
I scoff at his remarks.
”What? He’s hot,” Angel compliments.
”Thanks, man but I have plans with this girl so...no thanks,” Jay says, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
”Like I was saying, Ruby thinks she is all preppy and cool when she’s totally out of line for that shit,” I say to Angel.
”What did she do exactly?” Jay asks, peeking in the conversation.
”She was flirting with you- anyways I try to be sane one...”
”And you’re complaining why?” Jay asks in between my words.
Angel snickers to himself. I glare at Jay.
”You. Are. Mine. End of story,” I say through gritted teeth.
Jay laughs to himself after I speak.
“Jeez, you’re jealous! I didn’t actually think you’d slide into the conversation because of that,” Jay laughs.
”With your tendencies, it was so obvious that you were uncomfortable but when I walked over you played into it! It was so clear,” I say frustratedly.
Jay continues to laugh at my responses. I look over at Angel and rolls his eyes.
”She feels like your toying with her and she doesn’t like it,” Angel blurts out.
Jay stops laughing and his smile drops. He turns to see me.
I play with the underside of my nail, trying not to look at Jay.
”Is that true?” Jay asks.
”I don’t know. Maybe I just feel like at any moment you could be suddenly interested in some other girl who’s better than I am,” I mutter.
Jay puts a hand on my thigh and I turn to face him.
”Baby, why would I make plans with you if I didn’t love you or care about you enough to stay with you?” Jay asks.
I blush lightly and shrug.
”It’s because I think your worth every minute of my life,” Jay says sincerely.
I smile softly and I kiss his cheek.
”That's cute,” Angel says.
”Shut up,” I giggle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A month later,
”Tell me something, boy. Aren’t you tired try to- Fuck what rhymes with that?” I sing, stopping mid-way to think.
”Void?” Stefani suggests.
”Damn it, why is it so hard to write a love song without having the word love in it?” I ask exasperatedly.
”Cause it’s impossible?” Jay suggests.
”It is possible. We’ve just got two weeks to figure it out,” Stefani says, sitting back down in her chair.
Jay puts out his hand for me to pass him the guitar.
”How about we just repeat a couple of lines?” Jay says, receiving the guitar.
“Tell me something, boy, aren’t you tired of trying to fill that void?
or do you need more?” He starts.
”Aint it hard keeping it so hardcore?”  Stefani finishes.
”Yes! That’s it,” I say, writing it down.
We’re about to finish the last song of the motion picture and we’re almost done. But the lyrics keep falling apart.
”Maybe Bradley should just come in here and help us,” I suggest.
We call in Stefani’s co-star, Bradley and he sits.
”What’s the dilemma?” He asks.
”We need more ears. So, how about it?” Jay asks.
Jay hands Bradley the guitar.
”Shit, I’ve only been in classes for a month,” Bradley hesitates.
”You can do it,” Stefani says confidently.
youtu.be/MUX4ZWkDS-s
Bradley starts to strum the chords of the song. I hand Stefani our brainstorm journal and they both look at our lyrics.
They sing the parts of the song effortlessly. At one part, Stefani improvises and nails the part.
They finish and Jay and I clap.
”That was movie magic at its finest! Now, let’s record it, mix it, and then off we go,” I say.
We all get up from our seats to start working on our parts.
Jay and I lay down the mixing and Bradley and Stefani record. And just for fun, Stefani plays a piano version and we end up recording that too.
Later that night, we come home absolutely exhausted.
I plop onto my dorm room bed and sigh. I look up at my ceiling and see the moonlight peeking through my curtain. The bed sinks and I turn to see Jay lying there next to me, looking at the curtains.
”Long days at work, huh?” Jay asks me.
”I took off training to do that, so, yes,” I say.
We both paused in silence for a minute.
”Hey,” Jay speaks up.
”Yeah?”
”Do you think we’ll get nominated for anything?” Jay asks.
”Probably,” I say, thinking out loud.
”You know. I’m glad you asked me to start making music with you. It’s like something I can remember about you...like our own special thing, you know?” Jay says.
”Yeah. By the way, Stefani was the one who asked for you. Not me,” I say.
”Really? I didn’t think that would ever happen,” Jay says in surprise.
I chuckle at his reaction. I turn to my side and wrap my arm around his body. He does the same, pulling me closer to his chest by gripping my waist.
”Baby, where do you see us in the next year?” Jay asks.
I furrow my brows in confusion.
”I mean. Do you think we’ll be together after senior year next year?” Jay asks.
”I mean, we’ve had no problems with our career schedules so far. Sure we had the situation with Lonnie but luckily I’m that wasn’t real,” I say.
Jay laughs at my recollection.
”I’m sorry for that,” Jay chuckles.
”I know. Anyways, I actually believe we could be traveling, making songs, doing couples interviews and photoshoots, and maybe I can have you come to Agrabah and convince my parents to help us get married?” I suggest.
”Married? You wanna marry me?” Jay asks.
”I mean, we need a new heir in the bloodline. And I don’t think Aziz wants to settle down or rule the kingdom yet,” I say.
Jay chuckles to himself for a minute. He scoops down and places a kiss on my forehead.
”Why can’t we do that now then?” Jay asks.
My eyes widen at his words. I blink twice adjusting to his reaction.
”You wanna do all that now?” I ask him.
”Why not? If that means I get to spend the rest of my life with your crazy ass? Definitely,” Jay agrees.
A smile morphs on my face and I jump up to get my phone.
I dial my mom’s number.
”Ma, it’s Adri. We’ve gotta make some plans...”
Relief washed over you, the minute you had stepped foot in the tower. It had been three long months since you had gone back home to visit your family. It was around 11:30 pm when you finally got back to the tower. Grabbing your bag you walked into the tower.
The familiar aroma it had, breezed through your nose as you inhaled it. Walking into your chambers, you immediately changed before crawling into bed and letting sleep over take you.
Changing into your favorite sweatpants and crew neck, you scurried to the kitchen. The sound of laughter and chatter filled the air. As you opened the door, the chatter came to a crashing halt.
“Y/N!”
Wanda was the first to greet you and tug you in for a hug.
“Did you know she was here?” Steve questioned Tony.
“I had no idea.” Tony responded with surprise. “I didn’t think she was suppose to be back until next week?”
“I couldn’t help it.” You commented, sliding into the seat beside Tony. “I wanted to surprise my favorite people.”
“Thor’s going to be over the moon.” Natasha giggled.
“Where is he by the way?”
“Mission.” Everyone spoke in unison.
Nodding your head, you spent the rest of the day doing different activities with each person.
As you were laying in your room reading, there was a harsh knock on the door. Opening it you couldn’t stop the grin that had danced to your lips.
“Lady Y/N!” Thor exclaimed wrapping his arms around your waist, yanking you in for a hug. Lifting you off of the ground, he began twirling you in his arms.
Chuckling, he placed you back on your feet.
“This is my brother, Loki.” He gestured while grinning.
“Y/N.” You stated holding your hand out to shake.
Glancing at your hand, he looked back into your eyes before he scoffed striving down the hall.
Frowning Thor turned towards you. “I’m sorry about him.”
“It’s okay! I missed you.”
The rest of the day, Thor had barely left your side. He had become one of your best friends since you had joined the Avengers.
Since that day, Loki had intrigued you. He was quiet and brooding. His onyx hair was smooth and wavy while his ocean blue eyes seemed to bore into your soul. You had made it your mission to befriend him, while he seemed to make it his mission to reject you.
Almost everyone had gone away on a mission, except for you, Bruce, Sam and Loki. Bruce had locked himself away in the Lab, while Sam had gone somewhere on a mini mission of his own.
The soft pelting of rain against the roof and windows, sounded through the tower as it was practically silent. You had spent most of the day, wandering around and leaving little surprises and gifts for your friends. Grabbing your book, you mosey over to the living room. Much to your surprise, y/e/c was met with the same ocean blue ones that were avoiding you.
Once you locked eyes, you halted your steps immediately.
“Sorry.” You muttered sadly, dropping your gaze to the ground. Turning on your heel, you quickly made your way to the door. A strong hand wrapped around your wrist preventing you from moving further.
“Stay.” A deep voice spoke in a hushed tone.
Nodding your head, he let go of your wrist curiously watching your actions. Without meeting his gaze, you made your way over the window sill that you often used as your reading nook.
Being engulfed in your novel, you hadn’t noticed the man occupying the seat in front of you, until his outstretched leg softly bumped yours. Startled you, a soft gasp fell from your lips.
“I didn’t mean to scare you.” He spoke quietly.
Nodding your head, you resumed reading. Without looking up from your book, you broke the silence.
“What?” You questioned. “Do I have something on my face?”
“No.” He spoke quickly.
Heat rose in your cheeks, as your eyes met his once again.
“What is it?” You prompted while raising an eyebrow at him over your book.
“Nothing.” He replied raising his book signalling the end of the conversation.
Resuming your place in your novel, you saw out of your peripheral vision the soft gaze of the ocean eyes as they drank in your features.
“There you are Brother!” Thor boomed as he entered the living room. Stopping in the middle of the living room, sending him a smirk.
Both you and Loki jumped at the sudden loud noise. Before gazing at the blonde giant.
Quickly rising to your feet, you scurried out of the room.
“What?” Loki snapped returning to his book.
“You like her.” Thor occupied the seat you had previous left.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Loki denied.
Silence fell between them, before Thor spoke again.
“She’s a great girl.” He stated.
Loki huffed in annoyance before he stomped out of the living room, only to be greeted with giggles in the hallway. As he searched for the source of the sound, he stood in front of Wanda’s bedroom door. The door was left open slightly, revealing you and Natasha sitting on one side of the bed. His lifts morphed into a soft smile.
Later that night the girls had took over the living room, practically screaming at Jarvis to request your presence. Their giggling had filled the hallway leading to the living room.
“What are you guys doing?” You questioned as a giggle fell from your lips.
“Impromptu girls night!” Wanda exclaimed.
Stepping in front of them, you rolled your eyes in a playful manner. Joining them on the couch, you began watching Rom-Com movies. Not long after the second movie, Wanda initiated a talk about your love lives. As if on cue, the living room door opened revealing a sweatpant clad Loki.
“I...I uh just came to check on you girls.” He spoke in a hushed tone, shifting from foot to foot visibly uncomfortable. Before he could say anything further, Wanda had yanked him forward, causing him to land flush beside you on the couch.
“Nat!” She shrieked giggling at Natasha. “There’s a boy in our girls night room!”
Natasha giggled in response. Gazing between your two friends, it dawned on you that they had probably been drinking before you joined them.
Turning to glance at Loki, a smile made its way to your lips. Wanda positioned herself so that she was cuddling into Loki’s side, as she asked him question after question, while none of which seemed to annoy him, if they did he hid it rather well.
Lifting his gaze to the end of the couch, where yours was as he returned your smile. At some point during the night, you had fallen asleep on Loki. Wanda and Natasha were in deep slumber on the floor, covered by blankets and pillows.
A loud boom startled you awake, causing a soft groan to escape from underneath you.
“Sorry.” You whispered, as you began unwrapping yourself from Loki.
“Stay.” He pleaded quietly. “Please.”
Nodding, you laid back in your previous position. Gazing into his ocean blue eyes, you gently raised your hand touching his cheek. Closing his eyes, he leaned into your touch. As you fell back asleep, you felt Loki, pull you closer.
“Guys we have a huge problem.” Tony spoke joining the team for breakfast. Loki had opted to sit beside you, allowing his thigh to rest firmly against yours. As Tony explained, your heart fell into your stomach knowing nothing good would come from this mission.
“Pesky little things.” Galaticus spoke as flung Natasha into Clint, causing them both to hit the ground with a thud.
“Get out of here!” Sam yelled towards you. “Now!”
Sam was in the air flying around trying to distract him.
“I have to agree with wingman.” Thor spoke up as he and his brother joined your side.
“You know I can’t do that.” You stated as a sadness was evident in your voice. Glancing around, you were trying to come up with a plan. “They’re my friends.”
“I know.” He confirmed, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Can’t blame me for trying.”
You nodded your head.
“What’s the plan?” He questioned.
“What makes you think I have a plan?” You asked looking around the battle scene.
He scoffed in response. “When don’t you?”
Loki’s blue eyes, captured yours as you were going over the plan with Thor. One of Galacus’s minions took advantage of Loki being distracted charging at him and knocking him to the ground.
Your feet had immediately took you towards Clint’s bow and arrow.
“Y/N!” Clint yelled catching your attention. “Catch!”
He tossed you his bow and arrows. Catching it, you furiously began shooting arrows at a rapid pace, taking the enemy out one by one.
Adrenaline began pumping through your veins as your chest began rising and falling rapidly.
“Y/N!” Steve yelled towards you nodding.
Running at full speed at Steve, he lifted you on his shield before using his strength to assist your continuation into the air. Shooting your arrow at Galacus, you managed to pierce his shoulder, earning a strangled cry of pain from him.
Tumbling down to the ground with a harsh thud, he began his decent on you. Thor stepped in taking him by surprise, allowing you to scramble out of harms way.
Stepping out of the shower, you moved your tank top strap slightly, as you caught sight of your bruised shoulder. It looked worse than it felt. There was a large black and blue hue to it. Sighing, you shook your head exiting the bathroom.
A large figure perched on the edge of your bed, caused a yelp to fall from your lips as you placed a hand over your heart.
“Sorry love.” Loki’s voice filled the air. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
You scoffed.
“What you did today...Was stupid.”
You rolled your eyes in response.
“You could’ve died today!” Loki explained as he raised his voice.
“So?” You challenged, crossing your arms over your chest. “Everyone else on the team has done so many, many times. I don’t see you yelling at them!”
“I don’t care about them!” He exclaimed. Once the realization of his confession dawned on him, you watched a tinted pink color dance along his cheeks.
Your voice was barely above a whisper. “You care about me?”
“Of course I do. You’re my brothers pet human.” Loki spat. “I would hate for anything to happen to you, it would devastate my brother. Besides, you’re a useless human. I don’t see why everyone is so fond of you.”
His harsh words cut inadvisable wounds. Tears began to pool in your eyes, threatening to fall. Your heart felt as if it shattered into a million tiny pieces.
A whimper fell from your lips, somehow being the only sound you could manage. As tears began streaming down your cheeks before a sob shook through your body. Daring to glance at him, his expression softened as he made a movement to reach out and touch you.
Your body involuntarily winced, causing him to freeze his actions.
“I...I think you should go.” You strangled out.
“Y/N...”
Opening your door, you held it open for him not bothering to look at him.
He let out a sigh before leaving your room.
Since your last encounter with him, you hadn’t ventured out of your room for much more than a bite to eat. The rest of the team noticed, trying to coax you out of your room.
It was a late night, one that you were practically struggling to sleep. There was a soft knock on your door, signalling you weren’t the only one struggling.
Shock coursed through your veins as y/c/n met a familiar ocean pair.
“Y/N.” He spoke catching the door, as you immediately attempted to shut it. “Please.” Loki pleaded, his eyes filled with sorrow.
“Why should I?” You hissed. “So you can let me know just how much of a useless human I am?”
“No, I-”
“I don’t care.” You cut him off, not caring to hear his explanation. Before you knew it, you were sitting on your bed while Loki stood cautiously in front of you.
“I’m sorry.”
Scoffing you rolled your eyes.
“That day.” He let out a frustrated sigh. “I...I was scared. I was scared you were going to get terribly hurt. I wouldn’t know what I would have done if you did.”
Looking down at your hands, you shook your head. “Not your problem.”
“I want it to be my problem.” He spoke, kneeling in front of you placing a hand on your cheek. “I care about you deeply.”
You raised your gaze to his eyes.
“I can see why my brother is so fond of a brave human like you.”
He leaned forward, nuzzling his nose against yours. His lips centimetres in front of yours, as if he was afraid of kissing you. Lacing one of your hands through his hair, you closed the small space. His lips were surprisingly soft. It wasn’t a long kiss, but enough to say everything his voice couldn’t.
Pulling away, you rested your foreheads against each other, before crawling back under the covers. Lifting up the edge of it, you silently invited him to join you. His unsure gaze held your confident one. Slowly, he slid under the blankets. Making himself comfortable he wrapped his arms around you, tugging you impossibly closer, as your head rested on his chest. The sound of his heart thumping, was enough of a melody for you to fall asleep.
Relationships: Peter Parker & Tony Stark, Michelle Jones & Ned Leeds & Peter Parker, Peter Parker & Academic Decathlon Team, Bruce Banner & Roger Harrington
Characters: Peter Parker, Tony Stark, Michelle Jones, Ned Leeds, FRIDAY, Academic Decathlon Team
Summary: Peter Parker was sick, and he would not let that keep him from going to his Field Trip. It also gave Tony a reason to take over the tour.
Hey Beca! Surprise!!!! I’m your off-holidays secret santa! I really hope you enjoy the fic!
Peter Parker-Stark was not having a good day.
But that wasn’t unusual, was it?
No, his luck had never been the best to begin with, so bad days were something he had grown used to (as sad as that was).
But his bad days were usually because of the villain of the week, or a study session for Decathlon he had forgotten about (but MJ hadn’t, because she never forgot stuff like that). Sometimes it was gym class and having to pretend that he was weak and couldn’t do the exercises like his classmates; some others because he had to leave Ned and MJ staying up for him to watch a movie that would have to wait because people apparently forgot that kidnapping was illegal.
All in all, bad days were even more common than good days, so it wasn’t at all surprising.
What was surprising was that Peter woke up sick.
Sure, he had been a very sickly kid all his childhood (and part of teenagehood, even if the word sounded weird), but after his run-in with a certain radioactive spider, Peter had had nothing else but perfect health. Ever since that horrible night when we spent an uncountable amount of time puking his guts out and fever-dreaming, he had not been sick. Nothing. Nada.
For four years.
So why the hell did he feel like dying?
Peter hadn’t felt more nauseous in his life. Well… except for that time when the spider bit him and his stomach had felt as if it was fighting a war with food (and losing), but that time he had actually thrown up.
Today he had woken up feeling as if all his dinner (and midnight snack) would be coming back up, except they hadn’t, and Peter had felt miserable all morning, especially when he had to bend over to pick his clothes even though his dad always told him to leave your clothes somewhere where I can’t step on them, Pete.
[He’d listen to his dad from now on. Maybe.]
His dad had left him a note on the kitchen next to a plate of pancakes that, if it were any other day, would’ve smelled heavenly. As it was, Peter just grabbed the note and ran (power walked, really) out of the kitchen so he could read it in peace.
Hey kiddo! See you in a few hours ;) Pls eat breakfast. It’s chilly out so grab something comfy, I don’t want a repeat of last Xmas. Love you! Dad
Peter sighed, if it were for him, he’d have stayed in bed all day, but nooooooo. Today had to be his Decathlon team’s field trip to the Tower and he knew that he wouldn’t be able to miss it. He didn’t even want to miss it. Sure, most of his class didn’t believe him, but he really wanted to show his home to Ned and MJ, since they could never visit because your dad is Iron Man! Danger! Authorized personnel only!
Besides, he would even get to show the team that the internship was real, maybe that way they’d stop calling him a liar behind his back; as if their whispers were subtle. Peter bet that he would be able to hear them even without his super hearing.
“Peter, Mr. Hogan is waiting for you in the garage. I would advise you to eat your breakfast while it’s still hot.”
Peter hurriedly grabbed a hoodie that someone (probably him) had left draped over the sofa and ran to the elevator. An unhappy Happy was not someone anyone ever wanted to encounter.
(Sometimes he wondered if the Happy from Snow White could ever be unhappy like his Happy. Not that he ever told anyone.)
::
People at school were staring at him for longer than usual. Peter thought it had something to do with the fact that his skin was most definitely green and that it looked as if he would make a dash for the bathroom at any second. Belatedly, he thought about the bus ride to the Tower and prayed to Loki (because Uncle Thor never really answered) that he wouldn’t have to ride at the back.
“Well, someone's feeling bold today. What gives, eight legs?”
Peter jumped a little when he heard MJ appear behind him and grab the sleeves of his hoodie. Ned wasn’t far behind her.
“What do you mean, MJ?” Peter turned around to look at her, “Bold?”
MJ let his sleeve go, an are you serious, Parker? look in her eyes that he knew too well.
“Dude! That is so cool! Tony lets you use his clothes? I thought they’d fit better but that hoodie is super baggy, where did you get it? Did you raid a cardboard box with other cool stuff? Did you find any science trophies-?”
Peter was pretty sure his face was the epitome of confusion, and MJ was merciful enough to put him out of his misery.
“The hoodie, loser. It says ‘Stark’ on the back.”
Oh.
Oh.
Peter must’ve grabbed his father’s hoodie from his MIT days. Tony had a habit of leaving it in the living room for Peter to use when they had a movie night. Clint had called it proof of the Dadvengers being an actual thing, but his dad had thrown the bowl of popcorn to the archer’s face and that had been that.
[That had not been that, and Tony was now the (questionably) proud owner of a pair of Crocs that had big plastic letters with the word DADVENGER on the front. Not that Peter knew that.]
It made sense though, Peter always went to that hoodie for comfort, and today had been especially shitty.
MJ threw an eraser to his forehead, counting on Peter to catch it and snap out of whatever it was that he was thinking.
“It looks good on you, nerd. Now hurry up, because I am not sitting at the back of the bus and I’m dragging you two dorks with me.”
And with that, MJ turned around and started walking towards their bus, expecting Ned and Peter to follow.
Of course they followed. They were best friends with the scary lady, they knew that nothing good would happen if they didn’t. It wasn’t until they had already taken their seats that Peter remembered MJ liked to ride on the back and sketch people’s faces.
Awwww, so she did love him.
::
Flash made sure to kick his leg as he made his way towards the back of the bus.
“Good thing I’m not going to be anywhere near you, Penis. You look like you’re gonna toss your cookies at any moment-” Wait, was Flash worried about him? Did he really look that sick? “-I’ll make sure to film it though, maybe show it to every single employee we find, what do you think? They’ll see how pathetic the guy posing as an intern actually is.”
Or, Peter thought, maybe he’s just making fun of me.
::
When the bus rumbled to life, and Peter felt the engine and its little tremors on his whole body, he had to hug his stomach and bend until his head was practically hidden between his legs. Because of that, he didn’t get to see Ned and MJ exchange looks that practically screamed this idiot is actually going to toss his cookies, isn’t he?
Knowing Peter as well as they did, they figured out pretty quickly that he probably had decided to come on the trip just for them. And, yeah, they loved the adorable dork, but the second he was feeling better MJ wouldn’t hesitate to punch him for being an idiot.
Though, judging by the way Peter groaned and buried himself in his hoodie, they guessed the nausea (and the migraine that the spiderling felt coming) was enough punishment for now.
Ned shuffled on his seat until he managed to get his jacket off and proceeded to drape it like a blanket on top of Peter, who hadn’t even noticed that he was shivering until he felt the very warm and very comfy fabric on top of him. It smelled like Ned and his lavender cologne, strong enough to comfort him but light enough to not make him puke.
Peter still groaned when he felt the bus do a particularly nasty jump that left his stomach rolling and his head bouncing, which did not help his headache at all. The sound of a pencil over paper told him that MJ was having way too much fun with his misery. Flash’s snickering wasn’t really welcome either.
Mr. Harrington? Well, at this point he and Ned were the only people he would tolerate, so he wasn’t too angry when his science teacher knelt beside him.
“Peter? Are you feeling okay? I brought some Benadryl you can take if you’re feeling bus sick, maybe even some gum?”
He knew that his teacher meant well, but the thought of the peppermint gum his teacher was sure to be carrying made his nausea worse. Shaking his head was also out of the question when he felt his headache spiking into there’s a hammer on my skull levels.
Thankfully, he had the best friend in the whole world, and he spoke sick Peter (though he was a bit rusty in the language, the spiderling hadn’t been sick for a long time, though you didn’t hear Ned complaining about that).
“Uh, Mr. Harrington? Peter’s fine. Just, don’t mention the bus sickness? Or the gum?”
Their teacher –bless him– just gave them a look before going back to his place at the front of the bus.
When Peter’s head bounced again after their driver decided that he wanted to play a game of how to drive through the lanes with the most bumps, MJ sighed and threw her sweater at the vigilante. The smell of her fabric softener and the soft wool made for the perfect pillow, and he was out like a light for the rest of the ride.
::
You know how sometimes you feel sick, and you take a nap to make yourself feel better? But it actually does the opposite and you wake up feeling like shit?
Yeah.
If it weren’t for Ned, Peter thought he might not have been able to sit up from the (very uncomfortable) bus seat. As it was, he faithfully followed his best friends like a baby duckling until they were standing with the whole team in front of Stark Tower.
The oohs and aahs weren’t helping his headache any. Even though everyone from the Decathlon team lived in New York, they stared at the Tower as if it was a view they didn’t see every day.
Even Mr. Harrington looked excited, and he never looked like that unless he was explaining a particularly interesting chemical reaction. Peter wondered if that’s the face he would make when the class gave him the set of new beakers everyone had gotten him for Teacher’s Day.
Memo to me, he thought, remind me to ask MJ to sketch his face that day.
Before he knew anything, they were going inside the Tower.
Right into his home.
::
Peter’s head felt like it was made of cotton.
His nausea had returned tenfold, and now his muscles felt heavy, stiff. As if he had been gone out on patrol for far too long and his super healing had yet to kick in. Every movement costed him as if there were weights strapped to his limbs.
He knew that he wasn't the only one that noticed.
Still, he took a deep breath, straightened up as much as his rolling stomach let him, and let the glare of the sun right on his eyes and into what was becoming the worst headache of his life.
If anyone at the Tower figured out that he was sick, his dad would worry. Peter didn’t want that.
::
Surprisingly, Mr. Harrington managed to herd them into a line of students that could have been called straight, except for the fact that Ned and MJ had decided to be his personal bodyguards (how they were going to guard him from the worst case of flu he had ever experienced, Peter didn’t know) and stand at his sides in case he decided to take a little tumble. Still, since they were at the end of the line no one really seemed to mind.
They got Eloise as their tour guide. Peter liked to give tours of the Tower masquerading as an intern, and Eloise almost always ended up with him as her shadow. They had bonded over their sixth (seventh for Peter) sense that warned them of people trying to touch stuff they specifically told them not to touch. As much as Peter was relieved that their guide was someone he knew (not that he didn’t know everyone in the Tower), the second Eloise laid her eyes on him she’d know that he was sick. And if she knew, it wouldn’t be long before Tony did.
Sure enough, her eyes lingered a bit longer on his form before she clapped her hands animatedly and addressed his team.
“Well hello, Midtown! It’s a pleasure to have the winners of the National Academic Decathlon competition here at Stark Industries! I’m sure your teacher has gone over the rules with you, but you’ll have to bear with me,” his classmates were too busy being excited to really care about having to wait a few seconds longer to go inside, even MJ seemed especially attentive. “Our most important rule here at Stark Industries is that we do not condone harassment. If we see you harassing any of your classmates or any of our employees you will all be required to step out of the building. I know that it’s not fair for those of you that are sweet and innocent angels, but you have to be accompanied by your teacher at all times, and if one person has to step out, all of you have to follow. There are no warnings, no third strike, you’re out. You harass anyone, you’re out.”
Unsurprisingly, everyone subtly (and not so subtly) looked at Flash, promising him hell with their glares if he got them kicked out of the coolest building in the world. And –as if they had rehearsed it– all the team nodded at the same time.
Eloise smiled at them.
“Great! Now, rule number two is very simple: you do not touch anything unless you have permission. You will not believe how many times this rule is broken in our tours, but I’m counting on you to be a good group and keep your grabby hands to yourselves.”
That said, she clapped her hands together and motioned for the team to follow her through the metal scanner that doubled as an entrance to the public. Everyone followed Eloise through it without a second thought, probably ignoring the fact that their faces were being scanned as they walked right through. It wasn’t until Peter made his way to his teammates that FRIDAY spoke up, effectively scaring everyone into jumping a couple of feet in the air (even MJ, and that gave him bragging rights for months).
“Hello, Peter. It’s odd to see you back so soon, is everything alright?”
By force of habit, Peter answered the AI before he even realized that said AI had no right to be familiar with him.
“Hey, FRI! I’m on a field trip, not that you didn’t know that.”
“Your sassiness has been noted, Peter.”
He smiled at the ceiling as he often did when talking to FRIDAY, but someone clearing their throat brought him back to the very real fact that his Decathlon team was staring at him as if he had grown a second head, or those extra arms Ned liked to talk about.
“Stop stealing the attention of my tour group, puppy eyes. We have a schedule to follow.”
Eloise winked at him, purposefully using the nickname Clint and Nat had made for Peter. The vigilante mock-glared at their guide, but dutifully acted like a duckling and following her to the elevator.
His team kept staring at him.
Maybe he had grown an extra set of arms after all.
::
“Boss, Peter is in the building and he is looking remarkably under the weather.”
Tony looked up from his cup of coffee, half a cookie in his mouth.
“Run that by me again, FRI?”
“Peter appears to be exhibiting symptoms consistent with the flu, sir. Very noticeable nausea, very slow walking, and possible headache.”
Tony rubbed at his forehead, exasperated. His kid was going to be the death of him, and it wasn’t even 10 AM.
“Did he even eat breakfast, FRI? Like I told him to?”
“Negative, Boss. His pancakes are on a lunch box in his backpack. By my calculations, they are already cold and possibly unappetizing.”
This time, Tony let his head drop to the kitchen counter with a quiet thud. His teeth catching on the uneaten remains of the cookie.
“This kid…”
::
Riding on the elevator had been a Bad Idea. With capital letters and everything.
The moment they had started moving upwards to what Peter could see was floor 47, his nausea started up again, worse than ever. Dizziness had also decided to make an appearance, and for a good 12 floors, he had to lean on Ned to avoid dropping like a sack of potatoes on top of Cyndi and Charles.
MJ made sure to take a picture of his face so she could draw it later.
She also kept one of her hands hovering behind his back in case he decided to topple over Mr. Harrington instead.
When the elevator doors opened after what seemed like an eternity, Peter was one of the first people out, vowing to himself to never go inside an elevator again.
(He knew he’d have to break his vow the minute the team had to go to lunch, but he ignored that for now.)
“Well, Midtown, we’re on floor 47. This is one of the more advanced sections of the Tower, and tour groups aren’t usually allowed up here, but Mr. Stark made an exception for you guys. You can thank puppy eyes over there, Peter’s his personal intern and probably the reason you’ll get to meet some Avengers today–” everyone erupted into squeals of excitement, most of the team looking at Peter as if they were seeing him for the first time in their lives.
“Wait, so you do have an internship here, man?”
“And you’re Tony Stark’s personal intern?”
“Think you can give us a tour of the super-secret stuff, Parker?”
Oh, Thor. His team was staring at him as if they wanted to eat him alive.
“I’m afraid Peter can’t show you any classified stuff, or he’d risk being fired. However, we can continue on with the tour and I’ll show you to the super cool lab that’s right behind you.”
And with that, everyone turned to look at the glass walls that separated them from what Peter knew to be the prosthetics lab. From what he could see, Bruce was working down here today.
Apparently, his classmates made the same discovery promptly after Peter did and had started to whisper animatedly about Bruce Banner being right in front of them oh God they should have brought a picture of him so he could sign it.
If his team had been a bunch of puppies, they would have all been wagging their tails.
It was kind of cute, actually.
::
“Boss, Peter and his team are down on the prosthetic lab on floor 47. Dr. Banner is also working there at the moment.”
Tony grinned, grabbing his third cup of coffee and making his way to the elevator.
He had a kid to take care of, and two best friends he needed to meet.
::
The moment they stepped inside the lab, one of the interns –Mark?– grabbed Peter by the arm and dragged him to one of the tables at the center of the room. (And– yep, there was the headache again.)
“Uh, excuse me– I can’t allow you to take a student from the group–”
“Roger? Roger Harrington?”
Every single person in the room simultaneously turned to look at Dr. Banner and Mr. Harrington in what would have been a very comic reenactment of a tennis match if it wasn’t for the fact that Bruce Banner apparently knew Mr. Harrington and he hadn’t thought to tell them.
“Dr. Banner, ah… I didn’t think you’d remember me.”
Bruce came up to their teacher and hugged him.
Honest to Thor hugged him.
“Of course I would! Peter likes to talk about his science classes and your name comes up once in a while. He’s one of our best engineers, by the way, you’ll have to excuse us for trying to steal your student; we don’t usually get him to come down and help with this lab, even if it was his idea in the first place.”
The tour group had turned to look back at Peter, who by that time had made use of one of the stools in the lab and had sat down to examine what looked to be a prosthetic hand.
(Well, the tour group minus Mr. Harrington, who looked ecstatic about one of his students telling Dr. Banner about his science class, that he enjoyed.)
Queens’ vigilante was valiantly ignoring the looks his classmates were giving him, opting to test the mobility on the prosthetic arm he was working on. That didn’t stop him from listening to Flash’s sputtering, and Peter cracked a smile at the finger his bully was pointing at him.
“I did tell you I had an internship…”
“But you didn’t tell me that you had a Field Trip today, kiddo. Shouldn’t I have signed something?”
::
So this is how Peter died. The flu wouldn’t kill him, oh no. The flu was there to make him feel even more miserable while he watched his dad making his way to his table, Spider-Man mug in hand and sunglasses on, walking in like he owned the place (which, he did…).
“Uh… I had my Aunt sign it, sir?”
His dad set the mug down next to Peter’s tools on the table, before making grabby hands at his handiwork and examining, turning it every which way.
The room was eerily quiet.
And then–
“You’re Tony Stark!”
Tony turned to look at the tour group before him.
“And you all have elbows,” at the sight of the kids’ stunned faces, the billionaire shrugged, “What? I thought we were pointing out the obvious.”
He turned to look at back at his son and took note of the hoodie under a large jacket that could’ve only belonged to Ned. He smirked.
“Isn’t that my hoodie?”
Peter grinned back at his father, taking the prosthetic from his dad and carefully placing it back in its case.
“Hoodie? What hoodie?”
Tony just laughed, ruffling his kid’s curls and taking note of the way he winced when his head moved a little too much for his liking.
“Just for that, I’m stealing your hoodie next time I see it laying around in the lab.”
The mechanic’s eyes scanned the gaggle of stunned teenagers and one starry-eyed teacher before he spotted the two people he had been looking for. They were unmistakable, even if he had never met them personally –the walls in his son’s room were filled to the brim with pictures of these two. He pointed at them.
“Ted and Melissa, right?”
Peter hid his head on his hands. Of course Tony was picking today of all days to be a dad.
Ned didn’t look nearly as affected as Peter.
“Yes, sir! Well, kinda…”
His father huh-ed, and then looked at their tour guide.
“Eloise, was it? You’re free to go back to your project. I’ve got the little ducklings.”
She nodded quickly, saying goodbye to the team while Dr. Banner and Mr. Harrington swapped numbers.
Then, Tony led them to the elevator.
Ned and MJ were right there for him to lean on while they made their way to the training rooms. So was his dad, but by this point, he was pretty sure that FRIDAY had told him something was definitely not fine, and he wasn’t about to worry him even more. That didn’t make the elevator ride any less hellish, especially when Flash kept glaring daggers at him.
This time, the elevator stopped at the Avengers’ personal gym.
His class stayed inside the elevator, Tony the only one to actually step out and greet his team. Even though they had known that they’d see their heroes, everyone appeared to be too excited to move.
It wasn’t until FRIDAY had started closing the elevator doors that they all stepped out as fast as they could and gathered around Tony like the ducklings the billionaire liked to compare them to.
“Well! I’m pretty sure you know who they are, you’re free to pester them with questions! And don’t worry, they don’t bite,” he dramatically scratched his chin, “wait, Natasha does bite, but you’re safe with the others!”
His classmates made their way to the Avengers, slowly at first. Then, Clint made a joke and that was all it took before the heroes found themselves answering questions left and right.
Peter stayed by his dad.
Tony hugged him with one arm, both for affection and to ensure that he wouldn’t go say hi to the floor.
“FRIDAY said you were sick, buddy. Why didn’t you stay in bed?”
The spiderling shook his head, before wincing as his headache just got worse.
“I wanted to come. They didn’t believe in my internship, and I really wanted to show Ned and MJ around. Besides, I felt fine yesterday…”
“You should have at least eaten breakfast. You know your spidey metabolism needs fuel.”
Peter made a face.
“I… couldn’t really stomach anything. I mean, I haven’t thrown up yet, but that’s turning out to be a very real possibility.”
His dad frowned.
“When your team goes home I’m taking you down to the medbay, you haven’t been sick since the spider bite and a little stomach bug should’ve been nothing for your healing.”
Peter opened his mouth to answer, but someone yelling his name took his attention elsewhere.
“Pete! We’re gonna do a quick demonstration. Wanna spar?”
Uh, no thanks. He would definitely pass out if he did that.
Thankfully, his dad knew that too.
“Not today, Legolas! Gotta take the ducklings to lunch. Be a responsible tour guide and all that.  Midtown! Follow me to the cafeteria, please!”
His classmates waved at the Avengers, taking some last-minute selfies and shaking their hands.
Peter resigned himself to another ride in the elevator.
::
Peter loved the cafeteria. Almost every day, he’d come down here for a quick snack on his way to help in whatever lab crossed him first, and Martha –the nice lady that sold ice cream– always saved him a scoop or four for when he got out of training. The vendors were really nice, and it was a common floor for all the scientists to have a good time (and a good meal).
But today? Today the mix of different smells and the chatter that could be heard through the whole floor made him want to run to his room and hide under the covers.
“Well, I’ll be checking some stuff on the upper floors while you get something in your stomachs. I trust your teacher to take care of you, but there’s still an AI watching over you at all times. Something happens, you tell her or someone from the staff, capiche?”
Everyone nodded, eagerly looking around the cafeteria and planning their meal.
“Good! Then I’ll leave you be, see you in 45 minutes, kiddies!”
And with that, he was gone, swallowed by the elevator.
The team pushed some tables together and decided that they’d be eating together. It wasn’t different from their breakfasts at the hotel they stayed at for the duration of the Nationals. In fact, it was oddly familiar.
But Peter wasn’t paying much attention.
He was definitely feeling worse after a day of running around in the Tower. The dizziness had definitely gotten worse, as had his nausea. It was horrible.
His headache was no better. The lights hanging from the ceiling were blinding to his sight, and fireworks danced behind his eyelids whenever he blinked. It had extended from the back of his head to his temples, and now even his ears hurt.
So Peter took to leaning on Ned while MJ let him borrow her sweater again, using it as a pillow (again) and draping one of the sleeves over his eyes in hopes of drowning out the light.
Mr. Harrington was definitely worried by now, as was the rest of his team. Not even Flash had made a comment. A quick peek under the sweater’s sleeve told him it was because his bully was not at the table.
It wasn’t until they all started to bring out their lunches that hell broke loose. Someone (probably Jason) had brought hard-boiled eggs, and the second the smell hit Peter’s nose, he jumped out of his chair and made a run to the bathroom, just in time to toss his cookies in one of the vacant stalls.
His stomach rolled and Peter felt oddly reminiscent of the time he had been stabbed on the abdomen last month. The pain certainly was familiar.
It felt as if an eternity passed before he was finally done, even though he hadn’t even had breakfast to begin with.
Someone knocked on his stall.
“Hey, Parker! You okay in there?”
Peter kicked the door open as best as he could when he recognized Flash’s voice. It wasn’t ideal, but he didn’t think that he’d be able to stand up on his own.
His bully grasped him by the shoulders, flushing the toilet as an afterthought, and helped him off the floor slowly.
“Answer the question, Penis. You okay?”
Awww, would you look at that? He did care.
“Just peachy.” He said, before a wave of dizziness made itself known and he promptly passed out.
“Parker? Hey, Parker! Who gave you the right to pass out?!”
Flash was freaking out, but he knew that Peter needed help, even if he was the worst when it came to actually doing something for Penis Parker.
He carefully adjusted his grip on the smaller boy, and prepared to lift him princess-style so that they could get out of that bathroom as soon as possible. He was expecting his classmate to be a little heavy, what with the muscle he had suddenly grown over the summer four years ago.
He wasn’t expecting him to be as light as a feather.
“Mr. Harrington! Mr. Harrington!” Flash yelled as he came out of the bathroom holding onto Peter.
“Flash what did you do?” Ned asked, as he hovered over his best friend, who was slowly waking up.
“He didn’ do nothin’. Hel’ed me…”
Mr. Harrington took Peter from Flash and helped him sit in one of the benches where they had been having lunch.
“Peter? What happened? Can you hear me? How many fingers am I holding up?”
Just as Peter was about to answer (and he was seeing 7 fingers in only one hand, so that probably wasn’t good), his father stepped out of the elevator and ran to where the team was.
“Pete! What happened?!”
Peter groaned, making grabby hands at MJ’s sweater to block out the light and the sound of people talking all at once.
“M’fineee. Just lost a battle with some eggs…”
Tony laughed, if only to reign in his panic.
“Nope, that’s it. We’re making a trip to the medbay. C’mon Midtown, you’re getting to know where all the Avengers get patched up when they do something stupid.”
He went to pick his son up, and frowned.
Peter made it a habit to fall asleep on movie night, and Tony often had to carry him back to bed. So yeah, he knew that Peter was pretty heavy with all the muscle he packed.
He wasn’t used to carrying his son as easily as he had done when Peter was a kid.
::
Peter had been four years old when he first came to live with Tony.
The inventor had learned pretty quickly that his son was not what most physicians would call “healthy”.  His little boy carried an inhaler around as if it was a necklace, and he knew exactly what medicine Tony should give him when he had a cough.
Peter would frown at the food Tony would give him if it had any kind of seafood or citrus until his dad learned all his food allergies.
His chubby hands would play with LEGOs in the living room, and the baseball and the glove Tony had bought were left forgotten in the back of a closet.
Still, the mechanic had learned to play with Peter and his LEGOs, with his coloring books and with his chemistry set. He learned that Peter didn’t like airplanes, and preferred his food to come to his mouth via a choo choo train.
He also learned that when Peter was sick, reading him stories about Tesla and Einstein would put him right to sleep. That the glow in the dark stars on his ceiling had to be blue and not green, because green gave his kid headaches. That Peter’s Captain America onesie was his favorite and he only wore it after a particularly rough night when his coughing fits wouldn’t let him sleep.
He learned never to watch Bambi or the Lion King when they had a movie night, and that Mulan would put his kid right to sleep.
Still, none of those had worked the night Peter turned five years old.
He remembered it clearly. That night, Rhodey had come to visit his nephew for his birthday, and they had had chocolate cake and a strawberry milkshake for dinner. His kid hadn’t been feeling well that week, so Tony and Rhodes had thought it was for the best to distract him with cake and toy trains and a Disney movie. They had even let him wear his Captain America onesie and have dinner on the couch.
But that night, Peter had woken up his daddy, asking JARVIS to bring him to his room because he wasn’t feeling well. Tony had run to his baby’s room and there he was, tears staining his face and a sweaty forehead that could only mean a fever.
He had gotten Peter out of his onesie, and let him hug the platypus plushie Rhodey had given him for his birthday while he went looking in the medicine cabinet for anything that would help with his fever.
Peter had ended up going back to sleep clutching his plushie in one hand and his dad’s shirt on the other.
It hadn’t lasted through the night, and he had woken up again crying about how his head hurt, and to make it stop, daddy! Hurt bad!
His fever wasn’t going down, and Peter wasn’t keeping down any medicine. His coughs had gotten worse and at one point he had needed to use his inhaler.
That night, Tony panicked.
He couldn’t take his kid to urgent care, or he’d risk paparazzi knowing that he had a son the minute they stepped inside a hospital.
But his baby was crying, and no amount of stories about the theory of relativity were making him feel better.
So Tony held his baby in his arms (and he was so so light) and sat down on the rocking chair Rhodey had given him as a joke. And he sang to his son. He sang every single lullaby in Italian he could remember from when he was a kid himself; and when he ran out of lullabies, he sang Disney songs until Peter finally went to sleep.
“You’re going to be fine, tesoro, you’re going to be just fine. Daddy’s here.”
::
Peter was not happy at being carried princess-style, and he frowned at his father all the way to the medbay. But Tony didn’t seem to notice, too far gone inside his mind.
Bruce was waiting for them when they got to the medbay, and helped Peter sit down on the table Dr. Cho used to examine him whenever he did something dumb on patrol.
Ned and MJ (and surprisingly, Flash) were right by his side while Bruce went through a routine examination on his nephew. MJ was showing him the sketches she had made of him during the day, and even Peter had to laugh at some of the faces he made when he was sick.
“With all due respect, Mr. Stark-” Mr. Harrington said, wringing his hands nervously, “-I’m required to send Peter to the hospital, or at the very least back home where a guardian can be informed…”
Tony waved him off, though not unkindly.
“It’s fine, teach. Peter’s home, and I’m his dad. You don’t have to worry about school policies.”
You could have heard a pin drop in the room.
Then, Peter groaned, shaking his head.
“I can’t believe you actually told them.”
::
At Tony’s request, the Avengers had come down to the medbay to –according to Tony– entertain their guests until it was time to go home. He bet that the fact that their new tour guides were the Avengers would give those teenagers and their teacher bragging rights for years to come.
Bruce and Tony stayed with Peter while they ran some tests, and Tony had been right in his assumptions. This was no stomach bug.
Someone had actually tried to poison his son.
And he still wasn’t out of the woods.
That evening, after his team had left the Tower and had made him promise that he’d keep them updated in the group chat, Tony went to lay down next to his kid.
Peter had been on and off, waking up from his naps feeling worse and worse until he eventually had to toss his cookies again, before going right back to sleep.
He didn’t wake up until the next morning.
And when he opened his eyes, he saw his dad right beside him, playing with his curls and watching Mulan on his phone.
Peter smiled at him, too out of it to really worry about the fact that he was still sick and that his very scary aunt and uncles were hunting down the guy that had poisoned him two days ago on patrol.
He was, however, very preoccupied by the sight of a familiar hoodie folded neatly at his feet. It smelled like fabric softener and soap, very different from the cologne and motor oil that Peter associated with his dad.
It occurred to him that they had probably needed to wash his hoodie.
So he nudged his dad’s shoulder with his head, and adjusted himself so he could watch Mulan for as long as he could stay awake (which wasn’t very long seeing that his dad was still playing with his hair).
Finally, seconds before he went into dreamland, he murmured into his father’s neck.
“Hey, dad? ‘m sorry ‘bout your hoodie…”
He fell asleep to captain Lee Shang singing I’ll Make a Man Out of You; his dad’s laughter echoing on his ears.
It's up to you what the story is as long as it's not smut hehehe
[Y/D/N] - Your daughter’s name
A/N: You asked for angst...I give you angst!
Masterlist
You were practically vibrating in excitement.
You had just received amazing news from Dr. Cho in the medical wing and were on your way to the common room of the Avenger tower.
You almost ran into Tony as you skipped through the doorway.
“Woah there Shadow. What’s the rush?” Quirking an eyebrow, Tony took a sip from the perpetual coffee cup that was also within his reach.
Smiling wide, you threw caution to the wind and dived in for a hug.
“Oof. Alright. That’s a thing that is happening right now.” Used to his dry sarcasm and jokes, you simply snorted at him before releasing.
Tony was your best friend. You had known him from before he had become Iron Man. Since your parents used to work for Stark Industries. He knew of your ability to manipulate and travel by shadows, thus his nickname for you, Shadow.
When he was captured, you were a nervous wreck. Afterwards, you swore to never let him get captured again. So you were one of the first, after Tony, to be recruited into the Avengers Initiative.
Where you subsequently met your, now present, Girlfriend. Natasha Romanoff. Together for almost four years. Through the Chitauri attack and Loki and Slovakia and the Accords. You were in love with her, and her with you.
So it wasn’t a surprise, knowing about her past, that Natasha wanted kids. Thus began discussions and many, many visits to Dr. Cho and Dr. Banner to see what could be done.
“So want to tell me why you look like the energizer bunny hopped up on meth?” Tony asked.
Squealing with happiness, you decided to tell him. “I just got done with a checkup with Dr. Cho and…” You smiled, Tony frowning as you dragged it out, “I’m six weeks pregnant!”
At that, Tony lit up. His smile as big as yours, “That’s great [Y/n]! I’m going to be an Uncle!”
Laughing at him, you slipped past him, waving behind you as you went, “Don’t tell anyone yet! I still have to find Nat and tell her the good news!”
Tony’s whooping and muffled ‘No promises Shadow!’ followed you as you searched for your girlfriend.
Not in the common room. So you went to your bedroom. She wasn’t there either.
Almost two hours later, you had searched the entire living and workout areas of the Avenger’s mutual shared floors.
Grumbling to yourself a bit, you weren’t looking at where you were going and so bumped into someone.
“Whoops. Sorry.” You looked up, “Ah, Hey Clint. Have you seen Natasha by any chance?”
Clint, in his gear, getting ready to head out on a mission, rubbed his head as he thought.
“I think I saw her down on the conference floor a few hours ago. She might still be there.” He shrugged and then frowned at you, “Not going to hug me or wish me good luck before my long undercover mission in Siberia?”
Chuckling, you wrapped the archer in a hug, “Of course I wish you luck! I’m going to miss not having you around to blame when I prank Sam and Steve.”
Clint ruffled your hair, “I knew it was you who painted Sam’s wings pink!”
Ducking out from under his arms, you danced away laughing, “I’ll see you in a few years bird brain!”
Taking the elevator down to the main conference floor, which was on level three, you thought about how you wanted to break the news to Natasha that you were finally pregnant.
As the doors opened and you walked down the hallways, peering into the doors windows to see if Natasha was in one, you decided to just tell her. You both already had enough surprises being Avengers.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw a red flicker. Smiling, you opened the door that you had seen the hair of your girlfriend, “Hey Nat! I finally found yo-”
Your voice cut off suddenly as your brain worked to register the scene happening before you.
Your girlfriend of fours years leapt back, breaking the heated kiss that she was sharing with a low ranking Shield Agent.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you watched with muted horror as Natasha frantically wiped her smudged lipstick from her lips and turned wide frantic green eyes towards you.
“[Y/n]. Babe. It’s not. This is. I-”
Your throat felt like it was suffocating you as you listened to the love of your life stumble over her words for the first time ever. Her eyes flickering back and forth between you and the Agent who was now bright red and attempting to back away and hide their face.
Finally it felt like whatever spell was holding you in place, snapped. And you ran.
Hot tears leaving tracks down your cheeks as you sprinted to the elevator and nearly punched the number for the Avenger floor.
Through blurry eyes, you watched the shape of your girlfriend run after you, her mouth open to say something, cut off by the doors closing and preventing her from jumping in the elevator with you.
A sob tore from your chest, and with it, you broke down. Sliding down the back wall of the elevator, you pressed a clenched fist to your lips in a small attempt to hold back the sobs.
How long? How long had your girlfriend been cheating? How had she managed to keep it hidden? Did anyone else on the team know? Were they all secretly pitying you? How many times has she kissed you, and said she loved you, after kissing someone else?
These thoughts and more circled your brain, overcircuiting it. Making it harder for you to control the sobs that wracked your frame.
And then you remember why you were searching for Natasha in the first place.
The elevator doors opened as you wrapped your arms around your midsection. You knew Natasha was probably running up the stairs in an attempt to get to you.
So you wasted no time. Going off memory because your vision was obstructed by the hot tears still overflowing.
“Woah! What’s wrong [Y/n]? Is it the baby!?” Tony’s familiar voice and scent wrapped around you as he guided you gently to a seat outside the Jet Hangar.
Sniffling, you wiped snot and tears on your sleeve as you shuddered, your voice coming out unsteady, “I just...Natasha...She’s been cheating on me.”
A sharp inhale and the arms holding you tightened, “How? What? When did you?”
You laughed wetly, “I found her kissing an Agent in a conference room. I don’t know how long it’s been going on. But I can’t look at her. I can’t be near her. Not when...Not now.” You clutched his hand in yours, bringing it to your stomach so that he understood what you were talking about.
His voice softened, and he ran his other hand through your hair, “I understand. I’ll get Fury to fire her and I’ll make sure no one on the team-”
You cut him off, because despite feeling betrayed and hurt beyond words by Natasha’s actions, you still loved her, “No Tony. Don’t. Don’t tell anyone. Please. Clint’s going on that undercover mission in Siberia right?”
Wiping your eyes, your tears slowing down, you watched Tony’s face as he processed what you were saying. And when it did, his eyes went wide and he stared at you in shock.
“You can’t possibly mean to...when you’re pregnant...That’s too dangerous [Y/n]!”
Another wet chuckle and you nodded at his words, “I know. But I need to escape. And I don’t want to rip Natasha from the only place that’s accepted her in her long life. I won’t be a part of the mission. I’ll find an apartment or a house and I’ll be Clint’s Middle man for information. I’ll stay in contact with you guys. I just..I need time.”
As Tony realized you were going to do it no matter what, he softened his look.
Standing, you pulled your best friend into a hug, “I have one more favor to ask, and this one is going to be difficult.” You pulled back and smiled slightly as you saw a lone tear roll down Tony’s cheek, “Don’t tell anyone I’m pregnant.”
Tony nodded but had to double check, “Not even Natasha?”
Shaking your head, you turned to the doors of the Jet Hangar, hearing the low rumble of a Jet warming up, knowing that Clint was about to leave, “Especially Natasha. This child.” You held your stomach, “in order to survive, needs no stress. And Knowing that Natasha would track me down to the ends of the Earth in an attempt to explain herself and be in this child’s life is too stressful.”
Another Nod from Tony and with a sad smile, you entered the hangar and ran towards the Jet taking Clint to Siberia.
~~~  Four years later ~~~
Breathing in deeply, you walked out of the airport into the bright midday New York Sun.
Holding a hand up to block some of the bright rays, you took another breath when you saw the Avenger Tower shining in the distance.
“Been a while, huh?” The man next to you shifted the luggage he was carrying as he followed your gaze.
Smiling gently, you nodded, “Yes it has Clint.”
A small hand grabbed your pants and tugged softly, “Mommy? Where is Uncle Tony?”
Squatting down so that you were level with your daughter, you smiled and ruffled her short hair. Red. Bright red that was so familiar it ached.
“He should be pulling up her soon munchkin. You excited to see him again?”
Lifting your daughter, you rested her on your hip. Even though she was a little heavier at almost four years old, than when she was a baby,  you would cherish every moment that she let you carry her.
Talking about Tony brought back memories. When you had joined Clint for his mission, he had been against it. Only giving in after you explained everything. And then you had to prevent him from turning the Jet around and giving your Ex Girlfriend a piece of his mind.
You had managed to find a small cottage on the outskirts of a small town in Siberia, not far from where Clint would be undercover. You even managed to secure a part time job at a quaint bakery run by an elderly woman. Over the course of your pregnancy, you facetimed Tony nearly every week.
And when you reached your due date, he flew out under the cover of going on a mission so that he could be there for you in the delivery room.
After that, he would make bi-monthly visits to check in on you and your daughter and to bring you news about the Avengers.
And then he proposed to Pepper. You had been ecstatic when he called to tell you that she said yes. So proud of your best Friend finally getting over his doubts and insecurities and ready to live and love.
But then he asked you to come to the wedding. Practically begging you to be in his wedding party.
And how could you say no to your best friend? Especially as Clint finally finished his mission and took down the Hydra Cell in Siberia? It was like the universe telling you that it was time to go back to New York.
In those four years away, Tony told you that Natasha had become a wreck right after you left. Desperately trying to find you. Only stopping when Tony told her you didn’t want to be found. And then threatening him to tell her where you were.
After the first two years, Tony said she finally gave up, and from your last conversation with Tony almost five months ago, you heard she had become official with the Agent she had cheated on you with.
Four years did little to soothe your heartache. But you could say her name now without tears coming to your eyes. And you were strangely happy that she found love.
The only part that stung and dug at your heart horribly, was when your precious daughter asked who her daddy was.
How could you tell your daughter that she didn’t have a daddy? That she was a product of a test tube vial and experiments? That the other half of her was someone who broke your heart and never knew about her?
The answer? You didn’t tell her. You knew at some point you would have to. But you were in no rush to ruin your child’s innocence. So you deflected. And it always worked.
She loved her Uncle Clint and Uncle Tony and she was excited to meet her new Aunt Pepper and the rest of the Aunts and Uncles you would talk about with her.
“Woah. You look like someone ran over you with a train.” The familiar voice broke you from your reverie and you looked in front of you to see Tony, leaning out the driver side window of his sports car, smirking at you.
You laughed, hefting your daughter up a little higher on your hip as you sassed back, “Actually it was a fourteen hour plane ride. But thanks for that.”
Laughter filled the air, warming you, as Clint loaded the luggage and you buckled your daughter into the backseat.
Tony turned to face your daughter and held up his fist, “How about a fist bump for your favorite Uncle, [Y/D/N]?”
Your daughter giggled and complied, making you smile softly at her.
Taking the Jet back had been an option, but you hadn’t wanted everyone in the tower to know about you coming back. So Clint came with you on a commercial flight and Tony promised to pick you up and keep your arrival a secret until the wedding.
“So how is Pepper? Getting cold feet yet?” You teased, poking Tony in his arm.
Tony smiled, “She’s directing this wedding like she’s directed the company for the past years. I love that woman.”
Eventually you pulled into the garage under the Tower.
Stretching your legs once again, you listened with half an ear as Tony talked about where you needed to be tomorrow for the ceremony.
A warm hand rested on your shoulder and Clint and Tony both smiled gently at you, “She won’t know you’re here. You’re staying with me and Pepper tonight so she won’t see you until you’re ready.”
Your daughter peered up at you, a question in those darling eyes you loved so much.
Leaning down, you looked her in the eyes, and brushed your thumb over her cheekbones, “We’re going to meet some people from Mommy’s past, Munchkin. Mommy might get a little sad or upset but that’s not at you. Not ever. Okay sweetie?”
Your daughter furrowed her eyebrows as she thought about it and then she nodded with determination. Her tiny hands reaching up to cup your face in them.
“I’ll make sure Mommy doesn’t stay sad or mad. I’ll yell at anyone who makes Mommy cry!”
You laughed, Lifting your daughter back up into your arms, wrapping her in a tight hug, “Of course you will.”
Despite your reservations of being back in New York and in the Tower. The rest of the evening was surprisingly calm and nice.
Everyone on the team were overjoyed to have you back, and they didn’t ask questions about your daughter and why she looked so similar to another friend of theirs.
They hugged you, welcomed you back, and managed to engage your daughter. Who was happy to meet her Aunts and Uncles that her Mommy had spoken so much about.
“Can’t believe you’re a mother [Y/n]. Never would have pictured it.” Bucky leaned on the counter next to you as you both watched your daughter squeal with laughter as Wanda used her ability to make her float.
Leaning against him gently, you replied “I wouldn’t give up motherhood for anything. [Y/D/N] is my whole world now.”
Bucky nodded, taking a breath, pausing, before whispering, “We all missed you, you know? Tony wouldn’t tell us where you were until nearly two years had passed.” You tensed slightly, remembering when you had agreed that Tony could tell the rest of the team about you and your circumstances. Except for Natasha.
Bucky continued, gently, “It was hard to hide it from Nat. We were all protective over you and your kid. Seeing her was difficult knowing what she did and how she hurt you.”
You sighed, closing your eyes, “It’s over. As far as I’m concerned, [Y/D/N] is my kid and only my kid. And whatever me and Natasha were...is over. I’m happy she found someone else.” Opening your eyes when you heard your daughter call for you, you smiled softly, “She gave up her chance. And I’m not going to keep living in the past.”
Bucky ruffled your hair, and when you turned to him, you saw understanding and pride in his eyes.
The next morning was the day of the wedding. Tony and Pepper had decided to have the ceremony on the roof of the tower and the reception in the Common area of the Avenger floor.
After spending an hour reminiscing with Pepper, you helped her into her gown and rushed the bridesmaids, Wanda, May Parker, and Shannon Carter, through hair and makeup.
With your daughter following you around, you found Tony pacing in his groom’s quarter with Clint, Peter and Steve trying to calm him down.
You managed to do what three men couldn’t in two hours, in two minutes. Calming Tony down and making sure his cufflinks were in and his bustier was on right.
Wiping away a tear, you beamed at your friend, “I’m so happy for you Tony.”
Tony chuckled, “Now, no tears [Y/n]. You’ll make me start crying as well.”
Your daughter ran to Tony and glared at him, “You making Mommy cry!”
You laughed and leaned over to assure you daughter, “Happy tears [Y/D/N]. Uncle Tony isn’t making me cry.”
At that she relaxed, but fixed Tony with one last glare before returning to where Peter was entertaining her with his webs.
“You gonna handle seeing Natasha? She’s gonna ask about…” He tilted his head at the pair.
Sighing, you straightened, “She can ask all she wants. She will not be a part of her life. And I can handle being civil towards her.” You turned and teased Tony, “I’m not going to ruin your wedding. After all, Crashing weddings was your area of expertise.”
Tony faked gasp, throwing a hand over his chest, “You wound me [Y/n]! You were the one who found a way to sneak us into that wedding after you saw that they had red velvet cake!”
The tension broken, you spent the rest of the time before the ceremony making sure everything was set.
[Y/D/N] was the flower girl, and you couldn’t help but coo and take a million pictures of her in her dress holding a basket full of rose petals.
And then the ceremony began. Sitting up at the front, on Tony’s side of the chairs, you smiled and wiped away tears as you watched your best friend say his vows to the love of his life.
You caught a glimpse of red hair and startled green eyes near the end of the ceremony, but they were dragged away by someone, who you guessed was their current partner.
During the reception, you managed to avoid her for a while. Dancing with your daughter, and then Tony and Pepper. Sam and Bucky stole you for a few moments to talk about the past and pranks. Steve and Wanda made sure your daughter was entertained. Even Peter asked you for a dance, blushing and stuttering the entire time as his Aunt cheered from the crowd.
Eventually the party wound down, and Tony and Pepper danced to a slow love song in the middle of the room.
Standing at the back of the crowd watching the couple dance, a drink in your hand, and your daughter sleeping on a couch next to you, you thought nothing could break your happy mood.
“Hey…[Y/n].”
Your happy mood was broken.
Drawing in a deep breath, and taking a fortifying sip of your drink, you turned to see Natasha fidgeting next to you.
You couldn’t help but notice the green silk dress she wore that accented her every curve, and her lips painted a brilliant red that matched her hair.
“Hello Natasha.” You internally pumped a fist that you managed to keep a calm voice.
Her green eyes flashed and her hands came up to wrap around her as she shifted her weight, “So...You’re back. From wherever.” You opened your mouth to snark a response back to her, but before you could, her eyes flickered to the sleeping form of your daughter and her words came out in a whisper, “You never let me explain myself back then. Can I talk to you for a few minutes?” Her eyes went to the giant crowd around the both of you before meeting your eyes directly, “Alone?”
It seemed your conversation hadn’t gone completely unnoticed as you felt a familiar presence step up next to you.
Looking at Clint, you saw him glaring at his teammate. Touching his arm gently, you handed him your drink and nodded down at your daughter, “Can you watch her for me? Take her back to my old room and tuck her in?”
Clint looked about to protest, so you gripped his arm in warning and in response.
His mouth closed and he nodded, defeated.
And so you followed your Ex into the stairwell.
Leaning against the wall, watching as she paced in front of you on a landing, you saw how much she had changed in the four years you had been gone.
Finally she broke the suffocating silence, “It was a mistake.”
You quirked a brow, crossing your arms over your chest. You weren’t about to give her the satisfaction of a breakdown or fight.
She stopped before you, copying your pose, leaning against the railing. Her eyes downcast as if the floor was the most interesting thing she had ever seen.
“I swear it was only a handful of times and I never went further than...Well.” She fidgeted at your prolonged silence.
And then you huffed and rested your head back so that you saw the ceiling. “It shouldn’t have happened at all if you….” you breathed deeply through your nose, restraining the urge to shout and cry, “If you had loved me.”
Natasha jolted, her arms coming down to rest at her side as she took a step forward, her eyes finally looking at you.
“I did! I did love you [Y/n]! It was a moment of weakness. A mistake. I wanted to tell you before you ran away. Before you vanished and left me.”
Your blood boiled at the hurt and sorrow in her tone.
Your eyes flew to clash with her emerald ones.
“A mistake? A mistake is buying blue sheets instead of red. A mistake is playing a voicemail out loud in a mall. A mistake is not paying attention and running into someone. Making out with someone, not once,” Your eyes burned, while hers swam with unshed tears, “Not twice, but multiple times while you are in a committed relationship with someone else.”
You shook your head, Pushing the rage and anger back once more, “And I am not the one to blame. You say I ran away like I was in the wrong. But do you know how much you hurt me Natasha? I couldn’t stay. I didn’t want the ba-” You cut yourself off.
But Natasha caught what you were going to say. Her eyes grew wistful as she gazed back to the door where muffled sounds from the reception could still be heard, “She’s mine. Isn’t she?”
And you lost it.
Stomping forward, you shoved a finger into Natasha’s chest, dragging her attention back to you as she stared in shock.
Your lips pulled back in a snarl and your eyes were hot with tears and anger, “She is not yours! She is mine! Only mine. You are nothing to her and nothing to me and it will stay that way! You understand me?!”
Natasha responded to your anger with her own. Her eyes glinting dangerously as she pulled her shoulders back and stared you down, “She was created with my DNA [Y/n]. She is as much a part of me as she is you. I have a right to know my Daughter. You stole her! Stole her chance at having a family!”
You barked out a hoarse laugh, though there was no humor in it, “Stole her? What is she, a bicycle that the kids down the street took from you? That’s my kid!” Your face leaned dangerously close to Natasha’s as you hissed, “And she has a family. I’m her family. Tony and Clint and Steve and the others, they are her family. You,” You did a once over on her, your gaze disdainful, “You’re just the Ex that cheated on her Mommy once upon a time. A footnote. Nothing worth more than a passing glance. You are not a part of her, now or ever.”
Natasha gaped at your intensity, her mouth opening and closing.
You stepped back and then turned your back on her, intending to go find Clint and your daughter.
You froze as your hand grabbed the handle when Natasha spoke again, her voice loud and angry, “You can’t keep her from me! I will tell her that you kept me from her! She’ll hate you!”
Without turning around, without raising your voice, you spoke quietly, finally letting go the woman who you had once loved, “You try that. And I will kill you Natasha. Now, I am going to find my daughter. You should go and find that Agent you’re dating.”
And with that, you opened the door and let the sounds of the reception flood around you, ignoring the agonized, tortured shrill scream echoing from the stairs behind you. And you went to your room to cuddle with your daughter.

Chapter 1
“Loki this place is amazing!” Your voice echoes across the high ceiling of the new Avenger compound.
“I need you to be a bit quitter,” Loki gently shushes you. “There are some people here I don’t want to know we are here.”
             People like your brother? you ask yourself. You don’t understand why it would be a problem for you to be here. Well, knowing exactly where the compound is could be a potential problem. But you wouldn’t dream of telling anyone anyway. These people protect the city and the world. Why would you want to muck that up? You’re afraid he may be ashamed to be seen with you. You know you barely know him. Though, there is this sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach that knows you would be crushed if you never saw him again.
“Ah Loki,” Dr. Banner peers around a screen full of laid out research. “This must be (Y/N), it is nice to meet you.”
             You can’t help but feel a little heat rise across your cheeks. At least there is someone here that may be happy to see you here. Even if it is only to run these mysterious tests. Loki has been acting on edge the moment you two arrived. Tiptoeing around every corner, constantly looking over his shoulder.
             Dr. Banner offers up a smile and a hand shake, and you politely share the same sentiment. Next he directs you to a white glowing table that he asks you to lay down on. You can feel slight nerves creep on your anxiety. Loki couldn’t really explain the test that will be performed, mostly because he doesn’t really understand it himself. The only thing he promises is that it will not hurt. But being a natural worrier, his assurance doesn’t help much.
“Okay, (Y/N). Just lay as still as you can. This machine is going to do a sweep of your vitals and scan for anything out of the ordinary for the average person. You should not feel a thing. Just relax.” Dr. Banner’s voice calms you down a bit and you focus on your breathing.
             Loki and Dr. Banner have gone into another room, and have been speaking over a microphone. He assures that there is nothing harmful that would keep them from being in the room. Apparently the machine will scan any person in the room, and they thought it would be best to keep the results separate. Something about making it easier to read. You’re not a doctor, yet anyway, so you’re not going to argue.
“I don’t know why you had to sneak her in.” Dr. Banner’s voice comes over the intercom. Looks like they forgot the mic was still on.
“You now that Thor thought this wasn’t a good idea.” Loki sighs. “He told me not to go back after the first night I saw her. I’m apparently bad luck, where I’m at trouble follows. When I got Tony to give me her address he gave me the same warning.”
“Well I can’t exactly disagree with them.” You can hear a smile in Banner’s voice.
             Your heart flutters in your chest. Loki wasn’t hiding you from everyone because he felt ashamed. It’s not because of you being a mortal. He went behind Thor and Tony’s wishes. Of which you are thankful for. Loki saved your life last night, and you want them to know that. Loki is your hero, not a bad luck charm.
             The two come back into the room and say that the test is over. Dr. Banner says that it will take just a moment for the results to come in. He offers to get you anything and you graciously accept the offer of a glass of water. You didn’t really need it but this gives you some time alone with Loki.
             Watching Loki’s demeanor, you can see that he has relaxed a bit since getting here. Though with his tightened shoulders you can still see he is on edge. You wonder of Tony visits this lab often. He expertise isn’t really in this area, but you could imagine he would pop in every once in a while.
“How are you feeling, little bird?” Loki’s voice is tender and he laces his fingers with yours.
“You’re not a bad luck charm.” You have this problem that if you can’t ease into a topic you just get right to the point. “The only reason I am sitting here right now is because of you. If Tony and Thor can’t get behind this then too bad for them. Especially if I end up having these powers you think I may have.” You can see a small smile dance on Loki’s lips at the idea of his brother’s face. “I would get to train with you. Even if I don’t, I really hope you stick around.”
             Loki doesn’t say anything, and he doesn’t have to. You can see in his eyes that he would really love to train with you if given the opportunity. The idea of getting to know him better makes you giddy. There is the idea that the media paints him, and an image that you have from your dreams. It would be nice to see the real him. The real Loki.
“Here you are, (Y/N).” Dr. Banner enters the room with your glass of water. You thank him before taking a small drink.
             Dr. Banner reviews your vitals and anything else the scan picked up. Loki sits next to you on the table, his hand still intertwined with yours. With every passing second you can feel your anxiety come back. What if you had powers but you wouldn’t be able to control? What if they had to take you down? Would Thor like you when you officially meet? The questions bounce back and forth between thoughts of possible powers and being accepted by this family Loki has.
“Okay,” Dr. Banner starts. “Vitals look good, heartrate was a bit elevated but could have just been nerves.” You smile to yourself and Loki gives your hand a knowing squeeze. “I am seeing an odd energy radiating off of you. It is faint, obviously barely tapped into. Loki, with what you were suggesting the other day I would like to test you as well.”
             As if in sync, you and Loki both nod together. You give him a kiss on the cheek and head out of the room with Dr. Banner. The dozen screens lining the walls, all moving in a dark room, begins to make you dizzy. Explaining you’d be back in a minute, you exit the room into the brightly lit hall way.
             Since you’ve been a little girl you have had some trouble with motion sickness. Seeing all those screens moving and changing made you aware that you were not. The subway is not your favorite mode of transport in the city. Only way you will ride it is if you don’t have a chance. Even then you keep your head toward the floor and pretend that you’re not actually moving.
“Hey, miss. Do you need some help?”
A male voice appears a few feet ahead of you. Looking up you can see that it is nonother than Tony Stark. Shit! You think to yourself. In reality you were hoping to run into him with Loki. You suck at explaining things and Loki has a smooth silver tongue. He is perfect for this.
“I’m okay, just got dizzy. I am just waiting on someone.” You try to play it off like there is no problem.
“Oh my God, he didn’t.” Tony swears under his breath. “You’re (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N), aren’t you? And Loki brought you here didn’t he?”
             Question after question rattles out of Tony. He doesn’t stop for you to confirm because he already knows. As he paces back and forth trying to get his thoughts in order you can see his face turn red. You would really hate to be on the receiving end of Iron Man. Thank goodness he doesn’t have his suit on right now.
             Loki and Dr. Banner come out into the hall looking for you. Looking into Loki’s eyes you can see the worry dissipate but quickly resurface by the presence of Tony. On instinct Loki comes to your side to make sure you’re okay, but keeps an eye on Tony. You can sense the light drum of his magic beneath his skin, ready to act as a shield for your defense. Though, even seeing how mad Tony is you can’t image he would do anything extreme.
“Okay reindeer games, you have exactly one minute to explain to me why she is here.” Tony’s eyes drill holes into Loki.
“I asked him to bring her.” Dr. Banner speaks up first. “Loki has been explain to me this interesting pull toward (Y/N) among other things. I wanted to test out a theory.”
“What theory is that?” Tony’s interest has peaked. His initial rage has submitted to his curiosity, for now.
“She is giving off some sort of energy that is unrecognizable from our planet. Loki shows a smaller trace of it, like a mark or a link.” Dr. Banner paces while trying to contain his excitement. “These two have been experiencing a pull toward each other. Loki can feel strong emotions from (Y/N), and she is like a drug for Loki. I just need to figure out the trigger.”
             Dr. Banner’s gaze passes between you and Loki as if he thinks the words will be spread across the air. You try to recall the day that you met Loki, the day he saved your life. How the moment he caught you, you felt instantly safe and drawn to him. If it wasn’t for him you would have been dead. Something happened between the two of you in that moment, before that this link didn’t exist. Suddenly, you have an idea.
“What if,” your voice starts off small. Honestly you aren’t sure if you should speak at all, but you clear your throat and continue. “What if we are linked because he saved me? I was so scared and when Loki saved me I was so relieved.”
“Maybe since you trusted reindeer games over here in that moment, and with untamed powers, caused you to link to him.”
“I like the sound of that.” Loki’s voice is low, only for you to hear.
             In response you lightly bump into him. Hopefully he gets the message to behave. But it was too late, your face was already heating up. Thankfully the two science dorks were too engrossed in this new theory to notice.
Looks like we get to train after all. Loki’s voice filters through your mind like waves.
             Loki told you about his ability to speak into someone’s mind. Normally he uses it as a suggestion for people to cause mischief. Though looks like he has a more effective way of communicating with you. You can’t help but wonder if you’ll be able to do the same someday.
“I think we have some unfinished training back at my place.” You whisper into Loki’s ear with a smirk.
And you think I’m the one that needs to behave.
             A small giggle threatens to rise from your throat. Turning it into a cough it gets the attention of Tony and Dr. Banner once again. Apparently the action looked a little bit more labored than normal. It also doesn’t help that Loki has a smug look on his face that he isn’t doing well to hide.
“Maybe it’s time you introduce me to your brother.” Two can play at this game. Loki’s triumphant look vanishes within seconds, leaving you the one looking smug. Oh yes this is going to be fun.

I Put a Spell On You
A song inspired fan-fic, based off a dance cover: https://youtu.be/4w72HbTedis Feel free to watch the dance cover if my description of the dance gets a little confusing.
--------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------
Tumblr media
It was just (Name) in the training room of the Stark tower; a very quiet day for everyone. (Name) was aware that the Training room would be empty and she decided to stay in rather than go to the studio to do some winding downtime; grabbing her phone and plugging it into a speaker she got into her dark green leggings, black sports bra, and her hair tied in a ponytail. A smile found its way to her face, an old song of her childhood started to play; at first, the song 'Stacy's Mom' -by Fountains Of Wayne  came on She was warming up with stretches as she started to bounce on her feet as the course came on, she began to sing along as she got carried away with thinking she was on stage. Granted she loved being an avenger but she would have loved to be a singer, an artist, or even just a dance.
Loki was roaming Stark tower with a bored expression. Tony was with Pepper with some press stuff, Natasha was with Dr. Banner for some alone time, Bucky and Steve were out probably to do runs around the Central Park or something along those lines. Clint was with his family, Peter was with his auntie, Thor was in Asgard visiting their family. Loki let out a sigh as he sat on the large couch "JARVIS, who else is in Stark tower?" Loki was unsure, he never talked to JARVIS so it was awkward to be speaking out to thin air; to say the least, he didn't expect the AI would respond to him "(Name) (Last name) is still on the premises" "Where is she?" Loki asked with a smirk "Training room- I would be careful Mr. Loki....she is currently winding down" Loki shrugged. He felt like observing the woman; he hadn't had much interaction with her, she was very much a closed-off person and only rarely showed some personality with the others so he wanted to see what she was doing.
Loki arrived soundlessly as he heard a song that was foreign to him and yet slightly alluring. it was slow and very jazzy almost, very different from the music of Asgard. His eyes landed on her as he was shocked to see her in dark green leggings and her black sports bra, he felt a little hot under the collar once he saw the way her messy hair was taken out of its ponytail. Her form covered in a slight glisten of sweat, he was lost for words really. 'I Put A Spell On You' - by Annie Lennox came on and (Name) to try more floor work than anything. She was mostly someone who was more Boyish in nature but she loved feeling sexy when she dance and that is exactly what she wanted to do to unwind. The song started, she got on her knees moving around the floor, flipping her hair as she fluidly got on the floor as her hips touched the floor, slowly and delicately grinding on the floor. Watching the mirror she turned over and now directly in front of the mirror, high on her knees she gave a slow thrust towards the mirror was. Resting on her hips' front. getting down on the floor again like a cat stalking its prey she got on her knees again bent her back and got up and bounced on the floor with a hand in front of her. Her side now facing the mirror she bumped her chest twice in the air, she flicked her head back and forth twice. Spreading her legs out a little she picked herself up just to have her legs and hands support her as she gave a slow thrust to the air.
Loki was watching with so many emotions, he was so fixated on her it truly felt like she put a spell on him. He continued to watch even though he did feel a little dirty to be watching such an intimate display.
She got on her back having her legs in the air kicking them ever so lightly, spreading them out like a split she got back down on her knew and transitioned that monument to grind on the floor before turning and whipping her hair again to do another floor turn; laying down her knees pointed up and her back with an arch as her arms fanned out down to where her wrists met her hips on the floor she pushed from her toes to slowly thrust upwards. Turning around so her stomach was on the floor she moved slowly so she was now sitting on her legs lightly, her hands moving as if she were saddling someone and her hands ran down their chest to their abdomen.
Loki's breath caught in his throat as he watched, he felt a light tingle go down from his chest; as if her hands trailed down.
Her arms fanned backward behind her in large circles; the hand in front of the mirror gave her balance as her other hand ran down from her head to crease her chest, whilst slowly thrusting in the air twice before bouncing a little to get on her knees and point to the mirror. Getting on all fours with a small roll she turned over as she flicked her head back and got on her hands so her chest faced the ceiling as she fanned one leg out to spread it so she could grind on the floor facing the back wall, her legs coming in and spreading out as she goes to sit, her backside in the air and very prominent in the mirror as she flicked her hair back as she sat on the floor.
As she flicked her hair back she saw Loki and her eyes widened as the stared at each other "Well... I must say... It's quite the talent" he said in awkwardness.

The Sun Will Shine. (Chapter:2)
Summery: Thanos invaded the asgardians ship & Thor called for back up. Being a liable paramedic, you gather your tools and went to space. You end up being injured during battle but Thanos was defeated, what will you do when you find out your lover, Loki suffered more than just a few battle scars? But then again, no one is ever really gone.
Chapter Summery: You left the hospital with the news of Lokis death. The first night in the Tower seems quite until you found a book between Lokis other favorite books.
warnings: Im not entirely sure, but this is one is kinda sad. small panic attack? and swear words i think.
wordcount: 2.4K+
Tumblr media
Getting out of the car, you breathe in and walk towards the elevator in the tower to get to your compound floor. You pressed the button on the elevator and sighed. Tony tapped his fingers against his thigh with his eyes glued on the number going up towards the floor. “We made it, safe and sound” He smiled and looked at you before walking out of the elevator. You nodded lightly and gave him a smile back, even though you felt like complete utter shit, Tony has helped you the past two days ever since Thor walked out from that hospital room, he has been kind to you and it didn’t feel as lonely as you expected it to be.
“Tony, Thank-“
“ah ah ah, no need to thank me, we’re a family, we will always look after each other!” He gave your shoulder a soft pat and angled his head towards the kitchen. “They’ve made food, join us?” He said with hope in eyes, but you couldn’t bring yourself to say yes. Ever since you received the news, you wanted nothing but to be alone. So, you shook your head. He frowned and then nodded his head. “We’ll leave your food in the microwave for later, get some rest, y/n” And with that he walked towards the kitchen.
You sighed and slowly walked towards your shared bedroom with Loki. Once you’ve reached the door, your hands began to tremble and your breathing was getting heavier. The closer your hand got to the knob, the more it trembled and with a deep breath you open the door and scan the room quickly before covering your mouth and closing the door behind you.
You shut your eyes, maybe if you keep them closed you won’t cry, you lean against the door. It was getting harder to calm down when every time you breathe in you also inhale his scent.
“Why did you have to fucking leave me?” You curse at the empty room.
Silence.
Silence was all you have now in this room. No more morning kisses, no more late night cuddles, no more arguing, no more Loki.
You sniff as you walk around, trying to adjust with this wide space. The chambers were always fit for one person, it was just a bed, a couch for two, a walk in closet, a desk & a bathroom. But now it felt like it was too big, too empty.
Looking around at the mini library you installed and smile through the tears, not being able to see; you caressed the books softly and then sat down on the desk, looking out the window.
When Loki first came to the compound, it was difficult for both him and the rest of the team.
Your first encounter with the God of Mischief was during a meeting before a small mission about a random Hydra base.
“What is he doing here?” You said, venom dripping from your words.
“Darling, I’m asking the same question myself. What am I doing here?” He smirked at you, scanning your reaction. It always felt like he could see through you. “Lady y/n! I see you met my brother Loki!” He smiled wide. “Adopted.” Loki budged in, with a finger pointed up. You nodded slowly and looked between the two brothers before going to your seat next to Nat. Loki however, kept his eyes on you almost the entire meeting, every time you look back at him, he pretends to be looking at something else.
You stare at the buildings and the glowing lights in each one as you replay your memories in your head. The tears never stopped, it was hard to believe that the man you love is no longer here to hold you. A knock made you turn your body towards the door. “Can I come in?” It was Wanda. You sniff and shrug.
“I don’t have the energy for anything, so do what you want.” And with that you turn your back to her and stare out the window. She sat down next to you and rested her hand on your knee, looking at you. “When I lost Pietro, I felt the same. Like a piece of me died” She looked out the window, giving you privacy when she noticed how your brows furrowed and your eyes swelling with tears again.
“I’m not saying that you are going to move on, but-“ you shook your head and rested your head on her shoulder. “I don’t need words, Wanda. I need him back.”
“In Romania, we believe that death is just the second step, wherever he is, y/n. I believe that he is okay” she whispered softly.
You replied with a sniff as your body shook. She wrapped her arm around you as she slowly swayed you both. “Sleep in my room tonight?” You look up at her, unable to process that the bed is going to be empty without Loki, you saw her stare at the view, maybe she was thinking about how to turn down your offer or tell you that you have to do this on your own, but she then responded with a soft smile and a nod. “Okay, I’ll go change quickly and get you something to eat” She unwrapped her arms and got up to leave the room.
You get off the desk and roam around the room, grabbing a random book from Lokis side, it was dusty; Which is odd, considering Loki cared for his books too much to allow a single spec of dust. You scanned the book then looked at the others, this was the only one dusty, as if it wasn’t touched for ages. You open the book and realize that it is actually a journal. Lokis had a journal? The words were written in his handwriting. You start reading the first three words and your heart beats faster.
If I die, my love.
You look around the room, biting your lips. Closing the book and reopening it to the same words, maybe you were imagining things, you told yourself. Maybe it’s just a poem, but as you read a few more words.
If I die, do not believe them. I am here, near.
Waiting for you.
You know me like no other, my love. I always have my plans and tricks against the titan.
Your throat feels dry and you sit on the bed, looking at the door as Wanda walked in with her pillow & a tray of food, her smile dropping when she noticed your face was drained of color and your mouth open.
“What is it?” She approached you slowly.
“He’s not dead.” You look up at her.
“Loki? Did you see him?” You shook your head and pointed at the book.
She eyed you and then looked at the book. “y/n…” She sat down on the bed in front of you. “No, Wanda listen to me” You read her the words and she nodded slowly.
“I’m sorry but, but this doesn’t mean anything.” She said as she twirled a finger around a strand of her, a habit she tends to do when she’s nervous, you notice and nod.
“You’re right, I’m making a big deal, it’s probably just a poem.” You say, sarcastically. “A poem that somehow talks about him dying and mentions of Thanos!”
She sighed and closed her eyes. “Y/n, please don’t overwork yourself now, you need to rest. If Loki is planning on messing with you now, at least allow it when you’re healthy” She frowned and put a hand on the book, you look down at her hand and then back up at her, nodding “You’re right, I’m sorry” You close the book and put it on your night stand then pull the tray towards you. “Thank you, Wanda” She smiles at you and moves to sit next to you on the bed before turning on Netflix. “Anything for my sister” Now it was your turn to smile.
You spent the rest of the night watching Netflix, Nat came by to check up on you and decided to join you two, the night was filled with binge-watching & jokes about dumb scenes in the movies. You ended up falling asleep halfway through the fourth movie.
Your sleep was interrupted by a soft thud next to you, slowly opening your eyes and turn your head towards the sound, raising an eyebrow when you find it to be the journal. Looking back at Wanda & Nat then back at the book, you slowly sat up and grabbed it, not wanting to wake them up. You then got out of bed and walked out of your room towards the balcony in the living room, it was dark & quiet, not a single soul was awake. 3:43AM. You noticed the time and sat down on the chair, staring at the buildings again, your heart beating faster when you opened the book, too scared to read the words again, as if it’ll disappear and the small grain of hope you have will extinguish.
You push yourself to look down at the page & reread the same words again, sighing in relief as you continued to read, leaning back down on the chair with your legs up on the table.
If I die, my love.
If I die, do not believe them. I am here, near.
Waiting for you.
You know me like no other, my love. I always have other plans and tricks against the titan.
I always knew that he would be defeated, the titan was driven by his own imagination that he lost his grip on reality.
Now tell me, my love. Do you remember the list we had about the places I have promised to take you to? It’s where I wait.
You flip the page, furrowing your eyebrows. Of course you remember that list, he made you write down every place you wanted to visit so that he can take you there himself. You bite your lips, you don't know where he put that paper, you wrote it almost a year ago. That list had over 50 places written on it, he could be anywhere. “What are you doing to me, Loki?” You whisper to yourself. This was starting to feel like it’s some stupid treasure hunt and you were growing frustrated the more you read. It was filled with numbers and codes.
You sigh and close the journal, your feet leading you to Thors room. Hesitant, you knock on the door softly. You give it a few more seconds. There was no response so you walk away, and as you took a sharp turn towards your room, you bump into someone. “I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there” You say.
“y/n.” It was Thor. You look up at him and smile slightly, “Can’t sleep?” You say and notice the drink in his hand, frowning slightly, he just shuffled in his place and gave you a stiff nod.
“I want to apologize for my behaviour back in the hos-“
“Thor, it’s okay. But we need to talk- it's about your brother” You hand him the book and he raises an eyebrow slightly before walking towards the living room. “What is this about?” He said as he sat down, knowing that you followed him to the living room.
“He’s not… you know” You sit down next to him and point at the book. He chuckled and looked at you only to stop when he noticed the serious look on your face and cleared his throat. He set the book down on the table, staring at it, waiting for something to happen to it. “This is his journal Thor.” You say with an annoyed tone before you could stop yourself. You know Loki always loved to mess around with Thor when they were kids, so you knew he was probably expecting Loki to jump out of the book or something.
“Yeah of course, why- why would the journal be Loki? That’s not what I thought” He said with his voice slightly a pitch higher & laughed softly. “How do you know he is not dead?” His tone changed to serious and he set the drink on the table next to it. You ran a hand through your hair and shrug. “It’s as if he’s telling me where he is hiding, but it’s just filled with riddles and numbers and I need help translating some words.” You look at him, hoping that he would understand what you’re asking from him without having to say what it is that you want. He shook his head softly and leaned back on the couch, opening the book and reading it.
“Those letters and runes are in Juton, I cant speak Jotun…” He looks at you quickly before looking back and flipped the pages quickly, scanning some words with his eyes before shutting the book. “Look, Loki is… Well, if he really wanted you to find him, he wouldn’-“ Your groan stops him. “Thor, please, even if I’m wrong in this, I just want to know” You shrug “What do I have to lose?” He stares at the drink ahead of him and nods gently. “I’m sorry but I can’t help you with this, it seems as if he is making this harder for the both of us, since I cant understand a single word he wrote. Both Juton and english, he is asking you to find him, not me” You can hear the hurt in his words and nod, apologising for this conversation.
Thor is mourning his brothers loss and you’re over here trying to force him to do something he can’t do. But you are determined on understanding every word Loki wrote in this journal, with or without anyones help. You excused yourself and went to your room, slowly walking in and looked around, you looked at the girls and smiled softly and then walked towards your closet, grabbing as many clothes as you can and quietly put them in a bag and then went to the desk, you took half of Lokis books and put them in the bag and then softly laid on the bed, scrolling through your phone for apartments for rent.
Tomorrow, you were planning on leaving this Tower to understand whatever is going on around you. You love everyone in this Tower and they all mean so much to you but you want to be alone and it feels like this is the only way to achieve it.

The Bump
Tumblr media
“I was speaking.” Loki was now leaving the crowded party you had your fill of and were now escaping in a sly sort of stroll, at least until his storm after you. True he was speaking, your way more eloquent teammate you had been tasked to ensure didn’t stab the guest, now gone homewards themselves. A task done freeing you to slip out leaving the casual conversationalist to his comfort in the group now shifted on their feet to watch the Prince follow you around the balcony path to get into your room window in an emptier path than weaving through the crowded tower.
Up to your side the suit clad Prince strolled easing his jacket off and around your shoulders hoping to keep his composure and tone when the breeze had blown the layered dip in the front of your silk dress sure to flash more of your already alluring curves. The barely noticeable outline of what he assumed to be stickers over your nipples keeping the clear reaction of hardened nubs other women at the party had no care to flash in the crisp Tower or cool nights breeze. Another flash of your lotioned thigh through the high slit your hands were managing to keep from tripping held his gaze a moment until your head turned to face him and he held his gaze between those shimmering eyes he knew would make him melt if he allowed himself to stare at them even for a moment too long.
“Did you really just knock into me and then wander off? Tony tasked you to watch me.”
With a nod you replied, “Yes, to keep you from Sven, who is now on his way home, so job well done. Just wanted to let you and all your social awesomeness soar without me ask your anchor.”
“Anchor?” hastily he wet his lips and said, “That still does not explain the knock into my side.”
“First, it’s a hip bump. I didn’t think you’d be cool with a hug, or even a side hug and I’m not cool enough to pull off a fist bump without making it awkward so it was my way of saying, have fun, I’m gonna slip out.”
“Why?”
“Why what?”
“Why would you want to leave? Did I say something?” You shook your head and his eyes narrowed in a protective near growl, “Did someone else say something?”
“No.”
“Then why, you look stunning, no other woman-,”
“No other woman was told to be there,” his brows furrowed in confusion, “Tony didn’t ask me, didn’t even care to think I might have plans,” Loki’s eyes scoured yours trying to understand your discomfort, “And please don’t take this as my dislike in being near you or working with you, out of everyone I’m probably the most comfortable with you, with Vision as a close second until he starts asking me questions on topics I don’t know. But,”
You wet your lips and he asked, “But what?”
“I’m not friends with any of them. Twelve of them called me Georgina for half the night, I don’t think I’ve ever met a Georgina. Natasha picked this dress and Nebula picked the shoes and for some reason your brother picked my glitter eye shadow and insisted on braiding my hair like this, but, I wasn’t asked. And you were just stuck with me and my floundering people skills.”
“You were flawless in there.”
“I people watch Loki, I don’t schmooze, I don’t win people over, and I certainly know that wasn’t Tchaikovsky playing on the harp unlike Ned had tried to claim,” making the Prince smirk for a moment, “I have a quota of people time when I deal with crowds, and this,” you exhaled sharply, “This is easily taking up March’s slot.”
“I understand completely. What would you like to do? Or, rather, what had you planned to do?”
“I wanted to put on my comfy clothes and go to the monster marathon down at the Q with nachos and one of those near endless soda slushies that no doubt would have me darting back and forth to the bathroom half the night,” his smirk widening the more you talked at its luring your confident grin out more, “with take out and a blanket fort to come back to finishing off the marathon back here from my box set I got.”
“Let’s go then.”
“Go?”
He nodded, “To the Q.”
“Loki, it’s nearly two in the morning, it ended hours ago.”
After another nod he said, “Your room then, blanket fort I’ll ask Peter to pick us up some nacho supplies and slushies on his way back from his friend,” already with his phone out texting Peter.
“But, your party..”
His eyes flinched back up to yours, “Tony’s party, I came because he said you were coming, had I known you wished to leave earlier I would have ensured we had made the marathon. I apologize I have not yet mastered the variation between your natural smile and one to encourage forced social interactions. I will continue to work on that. Had you not been there seeming so at ease Thor and I no doubt would be hurling chairs and daggers out of sheer boredom.”
Through a hint of a smirk you asked, “You hurl chairs out of boredom?”
Loki nodded, “Usually with people still in them. A feat of strength on Asgard.”
“Remind me never to sit if I visit.” Making him chuckle lowly and join you in walking again.
“Women are not allowed as projectiles. With the exception of Lady Sif when she is on fire.”
Over a planter wall he climbed hoping to help you down the other side only to fall off it when you asked, “Oh, is she your girlfriend? Thor talks about you both a lot.”
Onto his feet he scrambled and stared at you wide eyed, “Thor stated we were a couple?!”
“Well, not in so many words. Is it one of those hushed engagements or something? I know you’ve said Odin wasn’t a big fan of yours is he objecting her family or job? She is very pretty, and strong, and the whole fire thing is cool too…Fire and ice, pretty standard super hero duo, good for you working that out.”
His hand was extended helping you over while your focus was on your dress and once your feet were on the ground his hands settled on your shoulders snapping your eyes to his, “I have no intentions or bond with Lady Sif past her link as a friend to my brother.” He stated firmly asserting the fact.
“Oh, okay.” You nodded, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to assume, honestly I only hear a few scattered stories here and there without many details, so, for all I know you could have a whole harem of, well, people, or creatures,” his brow inched up, “Is being, better? I mean, you’re not technically aliens there. Would people be bad, is that too much of a human, thing?”
Deeply in a sigh his body leaned in and his forehead tapped yours against his urge to force a kiss or embrace. “There are no harems.” When he pulled back he locked his eyes on yours stating, “I have no romantic ties to anyone, Thor would have been the one with a harem had mother allowed it.” Releasing his hold on you his hand dropped to claim one of yours stating in a turn to keep guiding you onwards to your window, “Tomorrow I will ask Heimdall to bring us to Asgard.”
“Ugh,” his head turned to see your head slump back and eye roll then turn to face him and his raised brow, “Marathon tonight and planet tour tomorrow? I’ll be worse than hung over, on the verge of dead. I won’t be nice until I get at least ten hours sleep, and breakfast.”
Chuckling again he said, “It could be a night tour, with a guest room for your use with a fuller tour in the morning after breakfast.”
“That’s a lot-,”
“A well earned tour. Besides, Thor is expected back anyways.” At your window he paused stating, “There is no opening.”
“Huh,” you mumbled walking to the window he tentatively followed you to and watched you walk through it and allowed him to pass through it as well, “don’t really need one.”
“If you can walk through walls, how do crowds trouble you?”
“For one I tend to cause heart attacks when I do, and my clothes usually fall off.”
“Oh,”
“yup, not very good at parties. At least for me.”
A split to change was all the time you needed it seemed and through the door Peter came with armfuls of goods on various trays sizzling hot around the tray balancing from around his neck across his chest coated in various slushies . “Okay, I didn’t know which kind of chips you wanted so I got all of them, same with the slushies. Each monster flick is different and Mr Loki wasn’t specific so I got a full spread to choose from.” Across the bench storage you usually used as a makeshift building cube table he set it all out and settled opposite Loki on your free side ready to start the marathon. An unexpected addition to the Prince’s intended guest list, however eventually Peter would grow bored or be called away leaving just you two. And until then his company was enjoyable in adding to the commentary on the films slowly dying at your joint slump and curl up falling asleep to the latest take on the Wolfman tale.
Breakfast however didn’t help wake you at all and the Prince beamed even in your climb up him to sprawl across his shoulders dropping into another nap for the trip between worlds ending with his tucking you into the biggest softest bed possible before chasing Thor nearly to death at his implication that he wasn’t single and able to be yours.
