The USWNT did not get knocked out of the World Cup in the RO16 (I finally remembered it exists, look at me) because these women lack talent.

The USWNT got knocked out of the World Cup because they had a head coach who was hell bent on never making substitutions, let brilliant generational talent rot away on the bench all tournament, stuck to the same game plan (that only worked a handful of times the entirety of his tenure) and by making his players play positions that were unnatural to them.

If these players get the head coach they deserve, they’re running through the fucking world and no one is safe.
