In Wilt u mij maar volgen? schreef criticus W.A.M. de Moor (1936-2015) over de boeken en schrijvers uit de jaren zeventig, vorige eeuw. Daarbij richtte hij de blik op Simon Carmiggelt (1913-1987) en diens werk. Dat werk bestond vooral uit de kleine korte verhalen, portretten van mensen die door de schrijver werden geobserveerd.

River - Clayton John
Clayton es un cantante y compositor basado en el piano cuya principal inspiración es el pop de los años 60 y 70 que amaba mientras crecía en la Ciudad del Motor. Le gusta incorporar las mejores tradiciones de composición de canciones de las últimas décadas en su música.
Los World Songwriting Awards nombraron a la canción River de Clayton finalista del invierno de 2021 como Mejor Producción Musical de Canción. River también obtuvo un Premio de Plata W.A.M. 2022 a la Mejor Canción en la categoría Adulto Contemporario. LHMPR Radio llamó a la canción de Clayton One More Fairy Tale "suave y suave con letras muy conmovedoras".
Las canciones de Clayton a veces se quitan el sombrero ante Billy Joel, otras hacen un guiño a los Fab Four y algunas honran la era de Sinatra.
Su plataforma de redes sociales favorita es Instagram, donde publica regularmente y se puede encontrar en @claytonjohnmusic. Los aspectos más destacados del canal de YouTube de Clayton, nuevamente llamado @claytonjohnmusic, incluyen el video musical de su último sencillo River. Él considera que uno "un video poema".
