All these gentlemen were drawn as part of the Gondolin Gang series for intea (my deep gratitude for this opportunity and inspiration ♥). Of course I will draw the remaining two, but now I want to show the finished ones 😃

I tried to draw different but stylistically similar and simple outfits, hairstyles and faces, so that one could believe that they live at the same time and in the same place, being in an everyday (medieval) environment - most of them had small bags for small things and clothes whose fit is regulated by a belt and not by patterns.

Egalmot got the most complex background - there's a cat there, did you see it? 🐈

Concept: Earendil, slayer of Ancalgon, gets to decide what to do with the body. He has a few ideas.

A set of dragon scale armor for himself; for safety when fighting giant void monsters

Some lovely, shimmering dragon's horn jewelry for Elwing, who deserves all the shiny things

A set of dragon tooth daggers for Idril, who deserves to be able to commit violence

A dragon bone sword for Elros because that's sick as fuck

A dragon bone ocarina for Elrond that is definitely not a passive aggressive dig at anyone else who may or may not have given his child an instrument

(Look Earendil learned to play the ocarina from Voronwe when he was young passing it on is important to him)

And the rest of the corpse? Well, let's just say Elwing and Earendil's lighthouse back in Valinor has a very unusual foundation

Voronwë had reacquainted himself to the salt smell of the sea, the constant thrum of waves against the shore, even the rocking of the gangway, but there was still a knot of fear clogging the back of his throat. He knew the ship had been built by Círdan himself, but then again, so had his ill-fated vessel all those years ago.

The boards shuddered behind him as Tuor let the sacks of supplies he'd been holding fall heavily on the dock.

“Still nervous?” he rumbled.

“I’ve tried this before.”

“But now we’re both with you.” Idril came up on the other side of him, dressed in simple sailor’s garb, even her ever-present green jewel gone, now gifted to Eärendil. “And we’re quite lucky.”

“Is that what you’d call it?” Slavery, death, destruction, loss unimaginable — Voronwë would not call Idril and Tuor’s lot in life fortunate. But then again, they were together still, the three of them.

The prickle of bearded lips caressed one cheek, Idril’s silken mouth grazed the other.

“Let’s try again,” Voronwë said, and boarded the ship, Tuor and Idril following close behind.

Voronwë was related to the House of Fingolfin through his father, Aranwë, a nobleman of Gondolin and to Círdan himself through his mother, who was one of the Sindar Elves of Falas. He was sent by King Turgon to seek a passage to Aman and call on the Valar for aid against Morgoth. He delayed on the road, tarrying in Nan-tathren and because of this he was the final one to embark on the last ship that Círdan, at the request of Turgon, had built for them. After sailing for seven years without reaching the lands in the West, his ship attempted to return to Middle-Earth defeated. In a storm within sight of the coast the ship was wrecked and all save him were drowned. By the grace of Ulmo, Voronwë was saved from the wreck and washed ashore in Nevrast, near Vinyamar. He was sitting at its wall when he encountered Tuor and heard his story as the messenger of Ulmo and led him back to Gondolin.

Important moments: ✨There Was Only One Cloak ✨ and ⛵ Sailing West With Tuor and Idril 🌊. This character deserves way more love!
