Okay, so, I’ve been thinking about our Overlords of the Pride Ring while I was doing dishes. Now here’s my train of thought.

We have at least two or three types of Overlords.

Those like the V’s who seemed to have gained the power over expanding control of certain aspects. Valentino = Porn Industry. Vox = TV (Streaming services?). Velvette = Social Media. Carmilla = Weapons Industry.

And we have Alastor, who has no control over turf, but instead seems to gain power by entering into contracts and deals with people.

If we go with the three types of Overlords, then we can count Rosie as that third type as she is the leader of a specific type of people - the Cannibals.

If I had to take a guess, I would have to classify the Von Eldritch family as one who either controls a certain aspect, or has power based of deals.

Zeezi, the giant kaiju dinosaur lady, would be a leader of a specific type of people, like the ones that Klub Kaiju (seen in the pilot episode, which I believe has been confirmed canon by Vivzie (I could be entirely wrong) and takes place a week before the series begins).

Zestial, I could see as another Overlord who gains his power either by ruling over a certain aspect, or a headcanon I’m personally fond of, gaining his power by the fear coming from others. If he does rule over an aspect, and this is another headcanon I’ve seen mentioned somewhere else before but I can’t remember from where, I could see it being some kind of Spying or Intelligence Gathering. Either way seems like it could potentially be a good fit for him!

That’s all I really had at the moment, but I had to at least get it out into words 😂🩵

What do you think the friendship relationship between Lucifer and Frederick is like?

Personally, I think it is a somewhat toxic friendship, this mainly because the little we know about the von Eldrich family seems to give them an antagonistic role (not to be confused with a villainous role).

I'm not talking about a toxic friendship where one takes advantage of the other, but I can see Frederick unconsciously giving Lucifer bad advice about his role as king or Charlie's dad that indirectly only ends up worsening the relationship between father and daughter.

Or it could be that Frederick does this consciously...

or their relationship is the opposite and they actually have a healthy relationship and the problem is only between their children. Idk, I'm just excited to see this family in season two.

Not gonna lie, I want Leviathan to be in Hazbin Hotel instead of Helluva Boss and have him (or her) be related to the Von Eldritch family.

Plus it would make sense for Leviathan to be the only sin that isn't Lucifer to be in Hazbin since Envy and Pride can contribute to each other as sins.

I'm very curious about the Von Eldritch family

We can see some pictures of them in the background of Lucifer’s room, so it’s not like they don’t exist in the current series. In addition we also see pictures of them in the pilot and from what we can gather, they get along well with the Morningstar family or at least did.

From what’s known Charlie broke up with the brother and has a pretty hostile relationship with the sister. Though that’s practically all we know.

So, who are they and where did they come from?

From my knowledge they aren’t royalty, meaning they shouldn't be related to one of the seven sins. They also can’t be ordinary sinners, for 1. Lucifer wouldn’t associated with them and 2. They wouldn’t be able to have children.

Theme wise they are mostly green with a grey colour palette and seem to have hair reminiscent of octopus tendrils. Which doesn’t feel too odd as they seem to be inspired by eldritch horror, possibility Cthulhu.

Still though, how do they exist? Are they similar to the lineage of Stolas? Do they have any relation to that linage?

From what we’ve seen any hellborn in high power has some sort of role, like Stolas is supposed to read the stars and such. Plus it feels odd that Lucifer would be friends with just some random family that doesn’t have any significant role. As in, why would Lucifer want to associate with them? Or at least, associated with the father, Lucifer does have a happy picture of the two in his room, so it’s most likely a pretty close friendship. Probably pretty long too.

So, what is the role of the Von Eldritch family?

Are they just the embodiment of horror or something?

Are they in a part related to the cosmic evil that existed before hell was created?

Also, in other news, isn’t it odd that Alastor’s magic seems green?

We haven’t really seen characters with a lot of green. There is Zestial, though his green is more lime yellow, not exactly the green we are looking for. Though it is interesting that the oldest overlord has a colour pallet with green and not an excess amount of red.

In addition, I did find something fun, the fires of hell seem to be mostly green and do you know what burns green? Copper.

And do you know what copper represents? From the Wikipedia page of Copper: “In alchemy the symbol for copper was also the symbol for the goddess and planet Venus.”

And the fun fact of Venus is that it’s sometimes referred to as the “morning star”

I know it most likely doesn’t mean anything, but I thought it fun. Kinda like the fires of hell are representative of the Morningstar family. Like normal(red) flames don’t seem to hurt, at least it doesn’t hurt hellborns, but a flame infused with the power of the morning star is sure to leave a scar.

Oh! And as an ending note, the mothers seem to have a very similar hair style, maybe they also get along well?

I vaguely recall an old Hazbin Hotel post by Vivziepop somewhere where she said that it’s common for married couples in Hell to cheat on each other, which we’ve already seen in Helluva Boss and the Hazbin Hotel pilot.

If this is actually true and does become a common thing in Hazbin Hotel, I hope it doesn't happen with Fredrick and Bethesda von Eldritch as they seem like a couple that truly love each other.

That’s not to say the writers can’t have fun with such an idea as from the pics we have of Seviathan von Eldritch, he does look a bit different from his parents especially when compared to his sister, so I could see someone like Angel Dust mocking Bethesda and say she slept with someone else, only to get angry at the accusation and get into a "Real Housewives of Hell” fight with the spider demon, then an actual fight with him XD.
