There's stuff everyone deals with. We're all different.
I ... am dealing with stuff no one would believe.
I have dealt with things, more or less alone, my whole life.
No real support.
I've tried to learn and to grow. I have acquired a lot of wisdom and compassion.
But I only have so much patience and energy.
I no longer have the energy to constantly suppress my emotions - for any reason.
I am actually very good at it, generally.
Usually, unfortunately, I impode. Then I explode.
Then I'm stable again.
That's how it is. There is no stopping it.
Any pressure I release will build again and no matter how proactive or constructive I am about it...
I will get angry. I will get sad. I will feel all manner of things and thoughts. No matter how I try to let them go, no matter how I see them - I will feel and I will experience.
And these feelings and experiences will be wholly unlike anyone else's. Period.
Because we are all unique. But also because I am dealing with things I have been shown - time and again - that no one really understands.
I have not met another person like me.
Not just because I am unique.
Not because I am special.
Just because... I haven't met them yet.
Decades spent consciously searching and healing and growing
The farther away I get from humanity
The more I have to accept that I may be alone
Or that there are so few of us that we may never meet.
Every time I have revealed this thing to people
..
Despite their initial understanding and interest. Despite the fact that - on an intellectual level - they comprehend
Have they experienced?
Do they understand how I can - how I have to - to devote myself to this?
Not only because of the strangeness of my experiences.. but because it seems I am left with no other choice?
Imagine your vocation. Your higher calling.
Now imagine finding out that was actually your purpose.
Now imagine that thing was so... big. So out there... that no one - or very very few people - took it seriously.
Now imagine that thing having the power to change your life. Without your knowledge. Despite your best efforts.
Imagine your reason for living made you partly miserable. And it made you as fulfilled and comfortable with your Self... as it made you a bit crazy.
Getting the picture?

Engineering education and technical skills have tremendously impacted the evolution of mankind and the world. At the same time, the current scenario of engineering education is not encouraging for the underprivileged students, who have the desire but not the finances to support their dreams. Understanding this gap in demand and supply, with respect to grooming of technical skills, Yashaswi Group founded the Yashaswi Institute of Technology in 2009. The idea was to create specific skill driven courses that fulfill the needs of industries and nurture the necessary talent for the same.

um excuse me? when did we all decide that the value of a degree rested on the earnings after graduation? and how can you honestly compare the skills learned in a humanities degree to those of a vocational degree like nursing or even engineering? and what happened to ummmm i dunno learning because learning is fun and good and knowledge for the sake of knowledge? and of course this is going to marginalise people who are already marginalised because why wouldn’t it. Past saves Present
Og fic ig
In some cultures, it is believed that children are able to remember bits of their past lives till the ages of 3-5.
For Danny, the opposite was true. He got his memories at exactly the second he turned 5.
And he had to promptly dodge the blade of the boy in front of him.
His brother, his mind supplied. His twin.
Danny stopped swinging his own sword, focusing on dodging and avoiding the fate of being a slashed pillow. His new/earned skills especially helped with that greatly as his head was seriously trying to re-kill him.
"I yield," he rasped as he jumped away from his brother and looked at their Mother. "My head hurts, Mother," he added pitifully.
His twin looked slightly concerned for a second, before schooling his face in a way Grandfather has been teaching them.
"Tch." But he did put away the blade before their Mother, said a word.
"Dynial, Damian, you are not to stop until you have received permission in the future."
The boys nodded. Mother took their hands and led them out of the private training ground back to their rooms.
Danny spent the rest of the day lying down, slightly feverish and miserable as his brain was processing and acclimating the new set of memories. Clockwork said it wouldn't be too bad. We'll, the clock bustard has been wrong. It fucking sucked.
His brother was hovering. Their Mother was always around, not letting anyone into their space. Ra's is being kept in the dark.
A peaceful rest was all he needed for his brain to finish sorting out new information. And Danny was stuck in a bit of a dilemma.
You see, Damian and Dynial love their Mother, strive to be the best Demon Twins, and see nothing wrong with their life so far.
Their hands are still clean.
Danny, on the other hand, has many MANY choice words for his current situation and one Clock Ghost.
You want to try reincarnation ONE time! No wonder others don't really do that.
-------
Their days continued like they did before he got his memory back. It wasn't hard to be Dynial when he actually was him.
The nights were filled with planning. And a personally assigned mission: get Damian to be interested in normal things.
Stars weren't much of a hit. Uncultured child.
Animals were a little intriguing.
Simple art and craft projects seemed to hit the spot.
Keeping their little meetings and activities hidden wasn't as hard as one would think. Mother still had her missions. The two of them were often left alone in their wing of the place, the supervisors being allowed only till the doors. Ra's was the Head. He didn't check in on them all the time. The two of them weren't slacking in their training either and were considered prodigies.
Danny wanted out of this Cult.
A many months after feeding different information, facts, crafts and so on to his brother, Damian was curious. He was suspicious about the sudden knowledge but he was also 5. He only had to reference the Lazarus Pit (unfiltered and dirty ectoplasm? Seriously? Clockwork, you can't expect him to work on his vocation) once to convince the child.
They snooped around and found out that they had a father out in the world.
Danny got a plan.
It was super stupid. And dangerous as hell. As well as literally (half)suicidal. But he felt it in his chest and knew he'd succeed.
His Core was here. But it was sleeping. And if he wanted to be safe and away from here, he needed to start it up again.
The big pool of Ecto would do just fine. His Core would filter out the impurities.
He didn't want to stay here until his hands no longer protected. He didn't want such life for his brother either.
---
Damian infiltrated the Lazarus Room just in time to see his brother jump into the Pit.
He ran to the edge.
He was sinking.
The green was too bright. The smell around them was too much. His ears rang.
He reached towards the water, eyes unseeing and hands numb. His heartbeat was too loud.
His brother's wasn't loud enough.
"Don't touch the puddles, Dami, you'll get sick," a gentle, cold hand stopped him from diving.
The child looked up. His brother was floating above the water. He looked all wrong. But he was there.
"I didn't want you to see this part..." his brother laughed awkwardly as he landed next to him. A bright ring of light blinded Damian for a second.
And his brother was back.
-----
Getting used to his powers again felt nice but tedious. Soothing his twin was heartbreaking. He didn't think this through hard enough.
Their Mother was none the wiser to the fact that one of her children died and came back. Nore was she privy to the escape being planned by both.
On one moonless night, when Mother wasn't there, the shift was changing and the world was asleep; two boys phased through the walls and flew. Small bags of stuff were strapped onto them as they traveled to their father.
Mother's notes called him Bruce Wayne, Batman, Beloved and Detective.
It wasn't hard to find him when they arrived.
Though, Danny didn't expect a furless furry and a pantless child to be their new family.
Can he ever get a normal Family???

As much as I adore your (highly) interesting takes on medievalism and how it differs from what we actually know (or hypothesize) about the medieval period, I don't think I've ever asked: are there any books set in either the real middle ages or some fantasy approximation of the period that you WOULD recommend? They don't have to be "perfect" representations, obviously, but it would be nice to learn about any books that side-step the usual potholes. Thank you!
Hi, friend! A of all, thank you; B of all, there are and I would. From the following list it will become apparent that my criteria are idiosyncratic. Really, I think, the most important thing for my own enjoyment -- for any historical fiction, but especially for that set in the place/time I know best -- is that the work and its author are exploring the period as a way of opening up a conversation between past and present, rather than looking down on the past from the vantage point of the contemporary. This sententious prolegomenon concluded:
The Book Smuggler, Omaima Al-Khamis (eleventh-century Islamicate world, about knowledge and wisdom and religious intolerance)
Morality Play, Barry Unsworth (fourteenth-century England, about justice and law and vocation and community)
The Name of the Rose, Umberto Eco (doesn't need my introduction, hilarious and deeply poignant meta-meditation on the genre of the detective story, also on theological debates and the love of one's neighbor and the nature of fear)
Sword at Sunset, Rosemary Sutcliff (fifth-century post-Roman Britain, has some clichés, also some magic, but is so richly imagined and full of people I love. Also good dogs.)
Cadfael Chronicles, Ellis Peters (twelfth-century England; I was wondering why I love these so much and I think a lot of it comes back to how much Ellis Peters loved the particular place she lived/set the books in, and watching the changing of the seasons there, so that that close observation of time -- very medieval! -- is also central. Inequality isn't made invisible or grotesque here, either, and it's often one or the other in Fictional Medieval Europe.)
Isaac of Girona mysteries, Caroline Roe (C14 Spain, also whodunits, but I cannot resist including this charming series about a blind Jewish doctor and his beloved wife and his daughters and the orphan he adopts and his chess-playing buddy the bishop and and and....! It's great.)
The History of the Siege of Lisbon, José Saramago (C12/C20 Portugal, called "metafiction about the instability of history and the reality assumed by fiction" by Kirkus Reviews and... yeah!)
She Who Became The Sun, Shelley Parker-Chan (C15 Ming China, with ghosts, definitely fantasy rather than regular historical fiction, and on the cusp of early modernity, also so so interesting)
The Apothecary's Shop, Roberto Tiraboschi (C12 Venice, deeply weird -- affectionate -- and drawing on Calvino and gialli as well as medieval history; some inaccuracies about women and medicine but I still found it compelling and thought-provoking)

PICK A CARD INTUITIVE READING: WHAT TYPE OF GODDESS ARE YOU?
Wanted to do something fun for Venus day, so whats better than figuring out the type of goddess vibe you carry ? Pick which vibe suits you the most, and you read each energy for yourself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile 1 : 'An Angel With Wings, The Beauty Queen, The Ocean Ruler'
This gift you have is connected to Mother Nature. You have a divine feminine frequency that propels your aura towards a larger group of people. Your energy is humongous and people notice you from afar. Your gift is being able to be a star and growing beyond what others limits were for you. Your creative energy sparks when your more confident in yourself and your potential. Your energy attracts demons (spiritually as well as physical bodies) because your spark enlightens their rage, shadows, envy etc. But its because your healing aura shines so brightly that they NEED to let go of that dark energy. When you walk into the room, people's hearts are touched. The heart chakra is stronger with this group, it is connected to Mother Gaia in a way that makes people believe in something beautiful. Venus Daughter. You're a gift from the divine to others.
Pile 2 : 'Beauty Comes Slowly But Gracefully. A Thousand Times Better Than Before.'
This group is more of a late bloomer, but in the most beautifulest way possible. Your star power comes through as you gain insight and experience in your lifetime. Your beauty shines in a way that other people takes kind too. You eliminate the bad around others because you see the good in them and who they truly are at the core. This could be a blessing and/or a curse, but your ability to touch others with seeing their darkness and sharing love and compassion with them is what helps them see themselves and heal. Your energy shines through the hugs you give people and people love to tell you their secrets or things they usually wouldn't tell a stranger.
You have this childlike essence to you that keeps you young, so being a late bloomer is more about you being a child throughout life, you're not hear to learn everything so quickly. You're a child of the stars, here to start something brand new and making way for other future generations in the process.
Pile 3: 'Crazy Meets Eccentric. The Boss. The Goddess With The Brain. The Angel Who Cuts Her Wings To Be A Goddess Amongst All The Other Realms'.
This group contains a lot of knowledge that allures others to their magic. They are spontaneous and allow this side of them to create space for their raw imagination. People are enticed with what they know and whats going on in their brain. These individuals are good at telling you like it is, however a little less bluntless will get you the most favor.
Angel guides are stronger with this group, you have a larger purpose to fulfill and a lot of it has to do with teaching abilities you carry in this lifetime. Just like the last group, you have an aura that will change the view of how other people see the world but for this group you will challenge people in how they view the world through THEM. You mirror back to them what they hate to see in their selves and this group could deal with a lot of uncertainty when working with others since your ideas will be too vast for a few others. Your beliefs and ideas of the world at large is what will propel you to great success in the long run. Use it wisely, and not everyone is meant to know these conquests you've been on to obtain the knowledge you seek. Be better than the last. Good times ahead.
Pile 4: 'The Girl With The Big Butt. The Illuminary. The Luxurious Queen.'
This group is known for their body and the beauty of their psychique. These spontaneous leaders are gifted with the power to influence others in different vocations. You have a light that contains tremendous power and shouldn't be taken to lightly. Men will be in favor to you if you pay attention and use your discerning abilities carefully. You have a lot of spiritual protection coming from the ethers, as your boss mentality keeps people at a standstill with feeling powerless, envious and throwing out the evil eye whenever they can. You have a guilty free conscience and if shame is an issue for you than this is something you truly need to work on. Nothing good comes when you're feeling shame, you have to live your best life. Who cares about what others think of you, as long as you think highly of yourself than thats all that matters.
Hope this helps <3 Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!
