Introducing... Sheehanksgiving!

Greetings, Sheefans! Now that fall is well and truly upon us, and with the third season of Umbrella Academy still in post-production, what better way to warm your cockles during the long, dark, Klausless months ahead than an event dedicated to Robert Sheehan and his characters?

In that spirit, we bring you... Sheehanksgiving! A whole week devoted to the beauty and talent of our beloved Captain Sheeballs.  

Sounds fun. Who the hell are you again? 

This event is brought to you by Joz (@seanfalco) and Salv (@salvador-daley), two mostly smut writers who spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about Señor Sheehan. If you need us, we’ll be available on Tumblr to answer your queries. 

Oh, yeah... I’ve seen you two around. How do I get involved?

This event is open to all creators, whether you’re an artist, a writer, a giffer or someone who carves sculptures out of mash potato. If you make fanworks relating to Rob and/or his characters, we want to see them. If you’ve never made a fanwork before, now is your chance!

You can submit a prompt here from now until Sunday 17th October. 

All the prompts will be posted on Tuesday 19th October, on which day claiming will open and participants can begin working on their submission(s). Multiple claims are allowed on prompts, and you can claim as many as you want. 

What are the rules of the game?

We don’t want to bombard you with a ton of restrictions. We trust you to use your best judgement. Please tag your work appropriately and hide any NSFW content behind a read more. If you are creating NSFW art, please adhere to the rules of the site you are posting your work to. 

We welcome collabs, first-time artists, established writers, people from peripheral fandoms... this event is open to everyone. There is no word limit on fics and multichapter fics do not need to be completed within Sheehanksgiving Week. 

The only thing we ask is that you don’t submit non-consensual or underage content. If you are a minor, please do not submit NSFW content as it will not be shared.

How do I submit a fanwork? 

Once you have completed your work, you can either: 

1. Add it to the AO3 Sheehanksgiving Collection - ‘Sheehanksgiving2021′

and/or 

2. Submit it to the Sheehanksgiving Tumblr page

and/or

3. Tag your work #Sheehanksgiving 2021 on or after Monday 22nd November

The AO3 Collection will go live on Monday 22nd November and any works submitted to the Tumblr page will be posted throughout that week.

What can I prompt?

Whatever you like! Let your imagination run wild. Here’s a few ideas to get you started: 

Favourite role(s)

Favourite OTPs or BROTPs 

Rob just being Rob 

Angst/whump 

Hurt/comfort 

Swoonworthy/spice

AUs/crossovers

As long as it’s about Rob or one of his characters, we want that prompt. If there’s something you have been dying to see from your favourite Robbie creators, now is the time to request it. If you have a ton of prompt ideas but don’t want to claim any for yourself, that’s ok too. Just get prompting!

How does claiming work?

Whack your Tumblr/AO3 on the prompt you wish to claim. Claim as many as you like. Don’t worry if someone else has already claimed the prompt you want - multiple claims are fine. Don’t worry if you claim a bunch of prompts and don’t get round to producing something for each one. The list is merely there as inspiration and to get folk hyped for the incredible things you’re making. If you change your mind, decide to create something that hasn’t been prompted or only post the first few pars of a WIP - that’s fine by us.

this episode should have been titled “vladek klimov’s very bad no good day, and petra needs a raise and a vacation immediately”.

i think i need someone to explain dan, elena, and vladek to me like i’m five. i understand vladek’s motives well enough, i guess, but i think i must have missed something about his relationship to freya... are they related? and i don’t get dan at all; none of his choices, nothing about why he’s gone crazy (was it the wasps?? how is he still sort of lucid??? because i’m really not buying the alcohol thing lmao). i guess with elena, i’m just lost about her as a character and then her and dan’s relationship in general.

this is definitely what i get for only turning on fortitude when i multitask because i miss things, but it’s about the only way i’ll sit down to watch a show lol
