— The fight with Crocodile and Baroque Works was finally over, it felt like the brawl lasted years. But now, the Straw Hat pirates could get all the rest they so desperately needed. In return for helping the kingdom, the pirates were allowed to eat as much as their heart desired. They were also invited to enjoy the palaces royal bath.
You now sat in that very bath with Nami and Vivi. It was a beautiful place, to say the least. Everything was dressed in shiny gold, glistening as the mist from the warm water filled the room. You were in the women’s side of course, but you thought if this side was this grand then the men’s area must be just as nice. This made you think of your boyfriend, Luffy. He was just on the other side of that wall, you guessed he was fooling around like he usually would.
As you admired the bath, Nami and Vivi chatted about what the world could hold for them; how the world has so many secrets that are just waiting to be found out.
“Y/n, could you get my back?” Vivi asked sweetly, her long blue hair was slightly darker due to the water. She chose to have a towel wrapped around her figure rather than being fully naked. You too chose to have a towel on.
“Of course, your highness.” You joked as you made your way towards her to take a seat on the stool behind her. You gathered the sponge that was soaked in soapy water, gently but firmly scrubbing the blue haired princess.
“Don’t call me that!” It was light hearted but it did hold some truth, she truly felt like you guys were friends now and she was grateful for all that you have done.
“Her highness is angry!” Nami added in, laughing along with you as you both ganged up on Vivi. She caved in too, she couldn’t hold in her giggles any longer. It was nice just to enjoy each others presence after all the fighting.
A comfortable silence overcame the room, all three of you smiling. Until suddenly, Nami’s smile dropped as she stood up. This made you and Vivi turn your heads in that direction, what you saw surprised you. All of the guys were now on your side of the bath, peering at you over the wall.
You clutched the towel tightly, ensuring none of your body would be exposed. “What are you doing, you freaks?!” You and Vivi screeched together, this is the girls side, you idiots, you thought.
“Peeking on us.” Nami walked closer to the group, she too had a towel on. “All right pervs, I expect each of you to pay $3000 for this!” Nami declared as she let the cloth fall to the ground, letting the men see all of her.
You were shocked, not only because she just showed them her naked body, but also because your boyfriend was part of that group that saw her. oh.
They all toppled backwards, many noses oozing out blood from the sight they just saw.
Something bubbled deep inside of you, jealousy. You don’t know why you felt this way, it’s not like Luffy asked to be flashed, it’s not like he wanted that to happen. You told yourself that, but you still felt the same as before, jealous.
Nami and Vivi left the bath and so did the men that were laid out on the floor. But you stayed, you decided to wash yourself with the sponge you were using earlier on Vivi, you need time to yourself to think and calm down from the previous event. He saw another girl naked, and it was one of your closest friends.
As you rubbed the sponge along your bare legs, you yelped when you felt a hand touch your shoulder. “Wha-”
“It’s me Y/n!” He smiled and used that tone he always did, a energetic one. He was acting the same as always, like he didn’t just see Nami in the nude. That makes you irritated slightly.
“Oh, hey Luffy.” You brushed his hand off your shoulder, resuming the wash on your legs.
“What’s wrong?” His furrowed with worry, he kneeled in front of you where you sat on the stool. He took note of the coolness in your tone, how you barely looked at him as you spoke. Usually you’d have a soft smile on your face, usually you’d be eager to talk to him. But now you were different.
“Nothing, just busy. I didn’t get a chance to properly wash myself fully. You can go.” You said nothing was wrong but that was a lie. You really just wanted to be alone in your thoughts right now. You would rather Luffy not be here because you were afraid you’d lash out at him for no real reason, you didn’t want to hurt him.
“No, I wanna spend time with you.” He was still kneeling down, now leaning closer to your body. “I’ve been sleeping for 3 days!”
“Ya well, that’s what happens when your bleeding out and have poison in your system.” You turned away from him, making more room between the both of you. Now you were just being mean.
“Y/nnn, tell me what’s wrong.” He whined, looking at you with those big eyes, they looked so desperate to know your answer. Those eyes make you weak, they make you cave every time he wants something.
“It’s just…” He still held intense eye contact, listening intently. “Earlier, you know when Nami.. did what she did. You saw her body, you saw her breasts and her hips and her.. you saw everything!”
“Oh.” Is all he says, he looks zoned out. Is he mad at you? Does he think your feelings are stupid. You look away, starting to feel embarrassed. But his hand on your chin brings you back to his eyes. “Is that what you’re mad about?”
You nodded while still in his grip. He pulled you in, placing a gentle kiss to your lips. You couldn’t help but reciprocate, even if you were still a little jealous.
“You don’t have to feel jealous, Y/n.” He whispered between kisses. “Because you’re my girlfriend, not Nami. You’re the only one I want to see naked. I want to see you naked right now, actually.”
You pulled away from the kiss, blinking a few times at his statement. You weren’t feeling much jealousy anymore, mostly just lust. You grabbed the top of your towel, where the piece of clothing wrapped around itself to keep your body concealed. You tugged on it, making it fall off your body and drop to the ground at your ankles.
“Pretty.” He reached out both hands to grope at your boobs, squishing them between his fists once or twice. “These are the only pair of boobs I think about, prettiest ones I’ve ever seen.”
He went down to lay kisses all over them, sucking when he got to your nipple. He’s always had a thing for you chest, he would spend all day kissing them, licking them, laying on them if he had a choice.
He smiled up at you, laying one last kiss to your nipple before lowering to align himself with your heat. He spread your legs apart further to allow room for his head, snuggling up close to your pussy.
“This is the best pussy out there.” He used his fingers to split your lips apart, face diving in. He started by licking on your clit, he knew you loved when he did that. And it was proved by how your hand slipped in his dark hair, pulling on the roots of it. You shoved his face in harder, wanting to feel more of him.
“Luffy!” You moaned out, curling your toes. He sucked on your clit next, making you lose your breath.
He starting sucking harder, licking more aggressively, wanting you to reach your orgasm quickly. You panted, feeling sparks starting to form in your lower half. Your legs shook and shut around Luffy’s head, trapping him in.
He slid out of your thighs, licking his lips clean from your juices.
“You have the only pair of boobs for me, you have the only pussy for me, you’re the only one for me, Y/n. K?” He kissed your cheek and grabbed your towel to drape around you again. He took your hand and pulled you along behind him, leading you away and out of the royal bath.

Writer Spotlight: Tamsyn Muir
Tamsyn Muir probably doesn’t need a lot of introduction here on Tumblr, but for those who aren’t yet familiar with her work: Tamsyn Muir is the bestselling author of the Locked Tomb Series. Her fiction has won the Locus and Crawford awards. It has been nominated for the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, the World Fantasy Award, the Dragon Award, and the Eugie Foster Memorial Award. A Kiwi, she has spent most of her life in Howick, New Zealand, with time living in Waiuku and central Wellington. She currently lives and works in Oxford, in the United Kingdom.
We asked Tamsyn some questions about Nona the Ninth, the next installment of the Locked Tomb series, which comes out on September 13. (Mild spoilers ahead. You have been warned!)
Can you tell us about Nona the Ninth? How would you contextualize it alongside the previous Gideon the Ninth and Harrow the Ninth?
The Locked Tomb has always followed a concrete set of rules about whose point of view we’re in—there’s a priority list and a hard if-and-else-if set of codes about who is telling the tale. The priority character is always Gideon Nav herself, but after Gideon the Ninth, in many ways, she gets knocked out of the ring.
Nona is the next rule on the priority list—the next storyteller. Except there are also a bunch of other storytellers popping up in the priority list as she lets her guard down. That’s kind of one curtain I wanted to pull back on The Locked Tomb as a whole. Who’s telling this story? What is the truth as someone else understands it? Which is why, where the last two books have been told very much from the perspectives of the Nine Houses, we’re finally in a setting where the Houses have pulled back, and the truth told is completely different.
You have a knack for approaching the next part of the story from a completely different vantage point, which is deliciously frustrating for the reader. Why do you think this works so well (when really, it sort of shouldn’t)?
Oh, but it does, and it’s been proved to work—just play an RPG! One thing I passionately loved in Final Fantasy IX, my very favourite Final Fantasy at the end of the day, is that one moment you’re with the thief-turned-thespian Zidane and a wonderfully dashing attempt to kidnap a princess in the middle of a theater performance—then you’re with…some very bizarre kid called Vivi…who has lost his ticket and is getting negged by a horrifying rat child. You’re given a completely different lens on a completely different situation in what’s basically a completely different genre. In the same game! There’s a risk of getting too comfortable in someone’s truth—you might want to settle down in a character whom you have learned to understand. But then you have to practice a very radical empathy in settling down in Nona, who just absolutely does not give a shit about swords or empire and, at her worst, can be quite an irritating, materialistic babe in the woods who is WAY too into dogs. Of course it’s alienating. If the experience of being in Gideon’s head was the same as being in Harrow’s as being in Nona’s, there wouldn’t be any point. If different vantage points didn’t work, A Song of Ice and Fire would never have gotten off the ground. Hell, neither would The Iliad. I just sit longer with my vantage point.
After writing foul-mouthed and horny Gideon and acerbic, memory-challenged, and also horny Harrow, how did you approach writing Nona’s character, and what did you enjoy most about the process?
Harrow would hate that you described her as horny. Gideon would be fine with being described as horny. Nona would love to sit you down and talk about all the things that make her horny, at the end of which you are 50% worried that she doesn’t honestly understand ‘horny,’ and 50% worried that she DOES understand ‘horny.’
Nona is my character who doesn’t give a fuck. Gideon and Harrow both give too many. It was fun to write a character who sincerely seeks out love as she understands it, who has a large collection of friends and interests, and has no ambition. And yet what I really enjoyed is that Nona is easily also the most terrifying POV character of the series.
We meet some old friends in a new place in Nona. What aspect of the familiar characters meeting the unfamiliar world was the most fun to write?
Honestly, the fact that they’re in such a different milieu was fun enough. One is a woman completely out of time, trying to find something to live for; two are dyed-in-the-wool Housers forced to re-examine values they’ve always taken for granted and what the next part of life after death is going to look like for them. All three are fish out of water. And then there’s actually the reader meeting the familiar after two long books about the unfamiliar, and all the ways I hope that’s entirely weird and recontextualizing. And then, for Nona, what’s familiar to us is entirely unfamiliar to her. Writing Nona was like one long experiment with jamais vu.
When Lyctorhood goes south or gets experimented with, we get someone’s mind in someone else’s body. What is it that drew you to writing this Cartesian mechanism into the universe of the Nine Houses?
Oh my God, please do not spring words like Cartesian on me, I have not had lunch yet.
My understanding is that Descartes thought mind and matter were two completely different things and then got stuck trying to explain why they don’t feel like two completely different things. So if someone kicks you in the goolies and your mind forms the thought ‘yowch, my goolies,’ how is that mind-matter gulf being bridged? Minds in The Locked Tomb lose to matter nine times out of ten. (This is linked, not coincidentally, to my experience of psychosis.) Gideon’s mind is constantly in danger of being sucked away into the storm drain of Harrow’s matter. Revenants are minds that have temporarily anchored themselves to foreign matter, but over time the matter exerts itself, and the mind starts to fall apart. So when you get a mind that’s big enough not only to resist the matter it’s attached to but actually to start burning that matter up…well, what kind of mind could possibly be so powerful?? (Significant looks at camera.)
You’ve previously headcanoned the often affectionately named “Jod” as Taika Waititi (which offers up the potential for some delightful space-god-gay-pirate crossover fic, thank you). Do you have any casting headcanons for the other characters?
I have recently admitted to loving Erana James as Harrow, except I don’t think Harrowhark is quite that good-looking.
By the way, I wish I had come up with Jod. Whoever did, well done you.
We know you’re not allowed to read fanfic for legal reasons, but who would you find intriguing as a ship proposition and why?
I find all ships intriguing. I’ve spent too long in these mines. No ship is too problematic or cracky for me. My only hope is to out-fandom fandom by presenting them with ships more problematic and crack-filled than they do (I will not; fandom always wins). In these tiresome days where ship wars have been taking on airs, as is my understanding, of virtue versus sin (I don’t even know what Bakudeku is and yet I feel sorry for anyone who ships it; I didn’t ship Reylo because it wasn’t messed-up enough and feel the same), I hope the Locked Tomb fandom is just accepting that all shipping is batshit and every ship is just as bad as the next. Gideon x Harrow is just as bad as Teacher x Crux is as bad as Hot Sauce x Cytherea the First is as bad as Camilla x Juno Zeta is as bad as Silas x Every Asht Brother (actually, I wrote the Asht brothers in an unrelated piece that’ll never see the light of day and imo they’ve suffered enough, but).
I was in the Kingdom Hearts fandom briefly. We shipped people with Goofy. Actually, let’s go with that. Naberius Tern x Goofy. On second thought, please don’t go with that. Goofy had a happy marriage and would know better.
This question has sparked some debate among the editorial team here because we absolutely can’t agree on one. Do you have a favorite character?
Yes. As of twenty seconds ago, it’s Naberius because I can’t enthuse enough over how he and Goofy’s relationship would break down because Babs spends so much money on silk pillowcases to avoid hair frizz. He only needs two, max, but has twenty. I hope Goofy goes on longer and longer adventures with Sora and Donald to try to ignore how his love life is breaking down over Naberius leaving the wedding they were just attending because he saw some other dude wearing the same shirt. Leave him, Goofy!!!
If Nona had a Tumblr, what would it be called, and what would she post?
It would just be a single text post with ‘hi,’ and she didn’t even write it. She dictated to Camilla, then ran out of ideas. Her profile just says ‘nona,’ and it’s a default layout. Nona just wouldn’t see the point of Tumblr, even if you told her there were pictures of dogs: why would you want to see a picture of a dog when you could be near a dog in real life? (I told you Nona was scary.)
Which house would you belong to, and do you see yourself more as an adept or cavalier?
I belong to No House. I’ve never been able to belong to a House. I’ve never been able to sort myself into anything really; I’ve tried, and nothing sticks. I can’t be an adept or a cavalier either, I’m just sitting in the corner glumly eating hot dogs. I guess I’m Hot Dog House.
The Locked Tomb fanart is strong here on Tumblr. Do you have a favorite piece you’ve seen recently?
Every piece I have seen recently is my most favorite piece! I was just in Spain for the Celsius convention, and the most intensely wonderful thing was that I came away with fan art that the fans have done. I don’t know what they’re feeding them there in Spain, but pretty much every fan was just nonchalantly like, ‘I drew this,’ and presented me with the goddamn Sistine Chapel. Someone had, while they were waiting in a queue, just filled a sketchbook with the most incredible work on the fly. Special shout-out to a marvelous flipbook I got where Harrow and Gideon are ducks.
The plan was for Alecto the Ninth to be the third and last book. Here we are with Nona the Ninth and Alecto still set to appear (we are not complaining). How has that process been?
AWFUL!!!!
It took me a long time to let go of the fact that it wasn’t going to be a trilogy; it was four books. I want the story to be done now! For one thing, because I’m really excited about the ending, and for another thing, the longer this goes on, the more of a terrible gremlin I become. The Locked Tomb is very special to me, but also I have five million other stories to write and only so long in a lifetime. I’ve been with this world since 2018, and I am wildly excited to get to all the other places. My editor and I will, I think, shed a sentimental tear on the final page, but also, you haven’t even met Teresa Santos yet, who has kept every gun she has ever loved.
What kind of writer are you? A plotter? A pantser? Do you have any morning rituals that set you up for a day of writing?
Plotter. I envy pantsers and gardeners. This is why Nona being unexpected got to me so much. I don’t actually have any rituals or exercises or anything—it’s important for me to have a specific writing space and a good breakfast. But every book is different. Like, what helped with Harrow was breaking every so often to die in Donkey Kong Country.
Do you have any writing or publishing or life advice for any budding queer sci-fi writers reading this?
I see so many writers—and this may also have something to do with being a queer writer—giving themselves SUCH a goddamned hard time. If I could give any advice to them, it would be to stop beating themselves up so much. I’m really dubious at how there’s this perceived glamorous youthquake to writing— like, that if you haven’t been published by 25 and don’t have BookTok at your feet, you’re a failure—it is so much more important to live your life. I’m so grateful I lived in an era where I could write fanfiction, for instance, and not have the sense that it ought to be my side hustle. You don’t have to have published the world’s most important and meaningful queer SFF story by the time you are 29. You don’t need to have done jack shit.
I do have one piece of practical life advice because if I have any regrets, it is that for a large portion of my early twenties, I used to consume like six cans of Mountain Dew a day. I don’t think this sparked queer joy. I think it stripped away all my tooth enamel. You will LOVE having tooth enamel in your old age, so stop.
The Locked Tomb is seriously good and gloriously queer, and its continued success will hopefully encourage more publishers to publish more queer sci-fi, all of the time. Do you have any queer sci-fi reading recs to tide us over while we await Alecto?
Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh is coming soon. It should really be called Problematic Gays I Have Loved (this is why they don’t let me title things).
Thank you so much to Tamsyn for taking the time to answer our questions! We’re so excited to see everyone’s reactions to Nona the Ninth when she arrives on September 13!! In the meantime, head over to the #the locked tomb tag for fan theories, fics, and art (remember to filter for spoilers)!

DOMESTICITY : sanji's special dessert
jus some fluffy <3
Tumblr media
(keep safe) sanji + male reader
-> i do have to say though: this doesn't really give OUTRIGHT romantic relationship/vibes but underlying tones are THERE trust. it's literally supposed to just be domesticity with sanji and the male reader. so SORRRY for not directly feeding into it ;( but i wanted to share this anyway because i do love the concept of this one in particular >:)
read the original fanfic where this sanji and the mc are based from !!
surprisingly, sanji and [name] got along more often times than not. it was only when they were really in the heat of the moment among their crewmates did they end up arguing. but also whenever [name] said anything about nami or vivi that sanji could have deemed invasive (it wasn’t, sanji was just really over protective of the women on their ship).
regardless of that fact, though, [name] really enjoyed sanji’s company.
“coffee cake! coffee cake!” [name] cheered from behind the counter, making sanji glare at him over his shoulder.
“hold on a minute, goddamit!” sanji shouted, putting the baking pan on the stove, fresh out of the oven. [name] ran around the counter and almost grabbed at the burning hot pan with his own hands, if it had not been sanji that stopped him right before he could touch it.
sanji restrained [name]’s greedy hands, cursing under his breath at [name]’s troublesome appetite.
“you’re gonna burn your hands, idiot!” sanji scolded, holding on [name]’s hands and pushing him back behind the counter, “wait for it to cool off a little, you can’t eat it right after it comes out of the oven,”
“but — you said it was ready!” [name] yelled in annoyance, a pout on his lips, “i want the coffee cake now! you just put it on there to taunt me, huh?”
“stop yelling for a second,” sanji said, sitting [name] down and lighting his cigarette. “let’s just wait a couple of minutes and then you can eat all of it,”
“really?! all of it?!” [name] had stars in his eyes.
the blonde chuckled, resting a hand on [name]’s shoulder to make sure he didn’t launch himself off at the hot pan on the stove. “well, you could eat all of it if you just kept your mouth shut,” sanji said, bringing a finger up to his lips, “you know luffy and his ear for food, he’s gonna come running down if you keep screaming about it,”
“roger,” [name] said obediently, his lips turning into a tight line as he sat very, very still. sanji chuckled, ruffling [name]’s hair and counting down the minutes.
after complete silence, [name] literally shaking in his seat from withdrawing himself from shouting out for the pastry, sanji was finally able to serve it to the starving man. he plated it carefully, placing it down in front of [name] with a mug of coffee to go with it.
“thank you sanji, you’re really the best!” [name] shouted before shoving the piece of cake into his mouth. he chewed it quickly, gulping down some coffee, before repeating the process over and over.
sanji wished he had the heart to scold [name] for eating so carelessly, but the longer he watched the scene, he simply let [name] be. sanji would be there to wipe his face clean anyway.
“this is so yummy, sanji, it’s not sweet at all,” [name] praised, bringing the empty plate up for another slice. sanji nodded his head, following the needs of the man easily and putting another thick slice of the cake onto [name]’s plate.
out of nowhere, luffy barged into the room and had stars in his eyes at the sight of the pastry. just as he was about to launch himself at the plate, sanji had easily kicked him away.
“don’t touch [name]’s food, bastard,” sanji said gruffly, putting his foot down onto luffy’s head and rolling his foot over his cheeks several times, “i already prepared you and the rest of the crew a cake, it’s out on the deck,”
“but, sanji, i already finished it!”
“well, then i’ll make you another one,” sanji simply said, walking away from luffy’s body that was in the corner of the kitchen, “[name] gets to have his own dessert since he can’t stomach the ones i usually make, so don’t ruin his own cakes!”
“but, sanji-!”
“out, out of the kitchen! don’t bother me again, unless you don’t want your cake anymore!” sanji threatened, waving a whisk at luffy, which effectively made the captain run out of the kitchen. it sounded as he was complaining how cruel sanji was, but it was honestly hard to tell.
“thanks, sanji,” [name] smiled sweetly, taking a languid sip of his coffee, “i almost gave him some of mine…”
“tsk, learn how to be a bit more selfish,” sanji scolded [name], chopping him lightly on the head. “or that baffoon is gonna eat all your food,”
“but-”
sanji shoved the spoon of coffee cake into [name]’s mouth to shut him up, shaking his head, “no buts, just don’t do it again,”
[name] quickly chewed, going to argue further, but sanji only repeated the same action and shoved another spoonful into [name]’s agape mouth. after savoring the dessert, [name] finally decided to give up and simply enjoy the food sanji had made him.
“thanks, sanji, i appreciate you making this for me,” [name] said, an undenaibly happy look on his face, “i know it’s probably more work for you, you have to make a separate dish from the rest of the crew-”
“just shut up,” sanji groaned, running a hand through his hair, “if you just shut up and eat, i’ll accept your thanks.”
[name] paused, looking at sanji with a soft look in his eyes. he tilted his head to the side, “c’mon, let’s finish it together,” sanji hummed in thought before leaning against the counter on his elbows. he took the spoon from [name]’s hand and tasted some of his own baking.
with a content hum, he relished in the bitter taste. sanji really had no preference for sweet or bitter, but since everyone on board merry preferred sweet, he had been used to eating only sugary desserts.
[name] joining allowed for him to get a taste of less sugary delights. and he enjoyed that, genuinely.
he stayed leaning against the counter, mindlessly sharing the spoon with [name] and exchanging small talk as they slowly finished the last crumbs of the dessert. [name] grinned, happily licking his lips, “the best chef and baker, sanji!!”
the chef’s back was turned to [name] since he was taking care of the dishes, so [name] couldn’t see his small smile.
“quiet down! i don’t want yelling in my kitchen!” sanji scolded the screaming man.
but [name] kept on cheering. and as his shouts of praise got louder, sanji’s grin got wider.

Secrets in Alabasta
Tumblr media
straw hats x strawhat!reader (luffy x reader)
gender neutral reader
Character is named Lucky for a reason! Please let me know if you want more from this same character!
This is my first fanfiction ever, so please give me some feedback and be nice!
Warnings: angst?
written on: 3/22/24
word count: 1091
I stand in the middle of the vast desert, watching as two figures dig into the hot, dry earth. The sun beats down mercilessly, casting harsh shadows and making the air shimmer with heat waves. As the day bled into night, the guilt begins to consume me. I keep staring out into the desert waiting for him to find me. The sand behind me begins to shift as Luffy lays next to me trying to catch my eyes. I hate how well he can read people.
“Everyone is starting to head to bed,” Luffy says, “what are you still doing out here?
I shake my head, not trusting myself to say anything besides the truth that is clawing at my throat. Luffy’s eyes move from my own to my hands, which dig in the sand, hoping to bury my secret and my guilt. His hand grabs mine. “What are you still doing out here?” He repeats. I shake my head again and kneel over, the bile in my throat becoming too much as I throw up into the sand. Tears begin to leak out of my eyes.
“Luffy,” I sob, “I can’t do this anymore!”
He stares at me.
“I need to tell everyone something!” I choke out.
He grabs my hand and pulls me up, leading me back to the worn down, broken home we are staying in while in Yuba. I lock eyes with Toto and he glares at me. He knows my secret, I think. I close my eyes and look away, as I let Luffy lead me into the house. The door slams open and six pairs of eyes are on the both of us. Luffy lets go of my hand, going to stand next to Sanji.
“Lucky, has something to tell us.” Luffy exclaims dropping onto the nearest bed.
I glance back at the door. I should run, I think.
“What’s wrong Lucky-swannnnn!” Sanji spins towards me with hearts in his eyes.
I could feel my hands start to shake, the sand I was previously holding raining onto the ground. My eyes follow it. I look back up and lock eyes with Vivi. She looks concerned, waiting for me to reveal my truth. I look away quickly, glancing at Chopper, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp. I take a deep breath. Chopper bounds towards me, holding out a handkerchief. I did not even realize I started crying again.
“So,” Nami juts out her hip, “what is it?”
I move my gaze over to Luffy, who seems to be falling asleep. My gaze blurs and I listen to the sound of digging outside. The guilt begins to bubble up. I feel like throwing up again.
“There is a reason people call me Lucky,” my words come out involuntarily, “it’s a codename of sorts. My father used to call me that growing up and it stuck. His little Lucky-Gator is what he called me. But it's also a codename to my codename, Miss St. Patrick’s Day! Get it? Lucky! My real name is Y/N!” I cry out the truth. But I know there is more to say. My voice begins to waver as everyone's eyes start looking around at each other, confused at my rambling. Before anyone could interrupt, I begin to speak again.
“I told you that I was in Shell’s Town to claim Buggy’s bounty. I wasn't lying about that, I mean at least partially. I was there for Buggy. More specifically, I was there to kill him. My - uh- my boss wanted me to kill him. But then you were there Luffy. And I felt like it was fate when you asked me to join your crew. I needed to get out of there.”
Zoro speaks up, “You aren’t making any sense.”
I grab at my hair, tugging it. “I know! I know! I am sorry I never told you. But I was so happy to get out. I am - uh- was an agent for Baroque Works, just like Vivi. Vivi didn’t know who I was because he didn’t want anyone to know me. I was a secret. That is why I don’t have a bounty. I should have one with the amount of people I have killed and the things I have done. But he worked with the government to let me off, because I am his daughter!"
Luffy sat up. Vivi asks, “Lucky, who is your father?”
I ignore her question and kept on rambling, “I promise I have no idea what he is doing here. When Vivi told us that he was here, I was just as confused as you all were. I haven’t contacted him since Shell’s Town and it was about -”
“Lucky,” Luffy interrupted, “who is your father?”
“Crocodile” I whispered, “I swear to you that I am not working with him. He doesn’t even know I am here with all of you. I know you want to kill him, Luffy. I don’t think I can stop you from doing that. Once he finds out I am here, he will have agents coming to collect me.”
I step back towards the door. My hand on the knob.
“That is why I am leaving you all here in Yuba.”
Luffy shot up at that. I raised my hand towards him, signaling him to stop.
“This isn’t up for debate Luffy,” I start, “I know you are my captain, and I should listen to you, but I need to leave you all here. My father won’t hurt me, but if he sees me with you, he will hurt you. I am going to go find him and I will meet back up with you all at some point, if you still want me.”
I glance around one more time. Chopper and Usopp share a scared look, and I can't read Zoro or Nami. Sanji lights a cigarette, and finally I look at Vivi. She has tears running down her face. I open the door stepping out into the night, the sand crunching underneath my feet.
“We will find you, Y/N,” Luffy exclaimed, "You are my nakama!"
I turned and began walking into the night. I could feel a smile pulling at my face at the thought of Luffy using my real name. No one had called me Y/N in years. At that moment, I realize that the desert held more secrets than could ever be unearthed. And as I turn and walk away, I knew I would forever be haunted by the man digging in the desert. I know I have to free him from his chore. More importantly, I need to free myself from my father’s grasp.

Episode 1
Episode 2
Tumblr media
Ever wondered why sometimes things just won’t go the way you want? Maybe you planned a trip overseas for months, but for some reason United Airlines just dragged your ass off the plane and ruined your day.
Perhaps sometimes uncertainty is what makes the world go round, and if you are blessed by the goddess of fortune, it can benefit you greatly too. If certainty is like checkmating in chess, then uncertainty is like playing Hearthstone. You better pray to RNGesus to give you that sweet curve or else you are going to smash your computer.
Location: A love hotel somewhere in Korea
“So let me get this straight again, Kahei.” You tried to understand the situation.
“For some reason, Yeojin found out OUR secret, and you two planned a threesome and practiced for a week?”
Kahei nodded bashfully.
“You know what is going to happen, right? Are you sure about this?”
Still couldn’t believe the position you’re in, you asked for her approval once more, but Yeojin barged in. “Ya oppa, why are you asking for permission? You are not her boyfriend anyway…”
“You are not her boyfriend… You are not her boyfriend… You are not her boyfriend…”
That line echoed inside Kahei’s mind, and reality finally hit her. She realized that this is not just a random hook-up between you and two LOONA members, this is war. A war of hormone, if you will. What happens later would finally decide the relationship between you and herself. Whether you two will remain friends, lovebirds or even…friends with benefits.
And in a broader sense, this also will define your relationship with other LOONA members as well, because she knows that paper can’t wrap up a fire. Eventually other 10 members would know your existence, and know you hooked up with the matnae and maknae of the group. Would they accept you? Would they hate you? Or…would they want to take part in this tangled mess of a relationship?
“...I’ll make sure by the end of the day, you’ll be mine and mine only.” Kahei said softly while gazing at you with her big, round eyes.
“And I will make sure that you will consider me as a potential partner by the end of the day!” Yeojin grabbed your arm and pressed against her chest.
Soft is the word that came to your mind.
And thus, war has been declared.
You tried to progress your storyline by stepping into the hotel, but for some reason Yeojin blocked your way.
“Yeojin? I thought this is your plan?”
“Shh……” She put her finger on your lips.
Kahei is visibly upset, because she is obviously jealous about your interactions with Yeojin. But Yeojin continued.
“We can’t go in together, it is way too suspicious. Us two will check in and prepare first, why don’t you wait around for our cue? We’ll send you the room number when everything is ready, alright?”
Perhaps it’s because of her shyness, or the nerves got the better of her, you noticed Kahei didn’t talk much. Yeojin has been taking the lead and acted way more enthusiastically.
There is nothing you can do now, as girls usually need more time to prepare, let alone such a big event like this. So, you decided to have a lunch break at a coffee shop nearby to kill some time and calm your nerves down.
Meanwhile, back in the hotel…
“Yeojin…I should take the lead for real this time. At the end of the day, it is MY plan after all.”
Kahei was worried that Yeojin might just overwhelm you and take over the entire situation…and take over you as well.
“Don’t worry, unnie.” Yeojin laughed while taking the keys from the concierge. “I know Jason-oppa loves you. I’m just having some fun on my own, maybe occasionally borrowing him in the future if he performs well tonight…”
“Don’t say that!” Kahei raised her voice. “Is he just a toy for you?”
“Oh, please unnie, you will definitely ask for more if he satisfies you tonight, wouldn't you?”
Truth stings.
“Come on, let’s get ourselves ready!”
“... Alright.”
This is an important moment for both Kahei and Yeojin, as they’ve been looking forward to this moment for days while suppressing their fantasy daily. But now it is the time, the time to finally begin to unleash their forces unto the person they've been waiting all along, you. Luckily, they already bathe themselves beforehand, so they only need to change into their chosen outfits, which they certainly knew would be super effective against you.
As both are getting dressed as planned, Kahei couldn’t stop herself from overthinking. She hasn't met you in real life for years, and the moment you two finally meet is in the context of preparing for a threesome with Yeojin. She has a million things wanted to tell you. How lonely she felt these years without you, how helpless she is when the only way for you two to communicate is through the internet, how much affection she actually had for you for all these years, how much she yearns for your touch…
Yeojin has a keen eye for details, naturally she noticed that Kahei is getting anxious. Trying to pump her up, she hugged Kahei from behind.
“Unnie, did you see sparkles flashing in his eyes? He really is happy to see you. I wish I had someone like that in my life, you are fortunate you know?”
“I…I am?”
“Of course, you are! And I understand the situation we’re in is brand new to you.”
“You sounded like an older sister just now you know?”
“Whoops, hehe. But I am more experienced in this area than you, unnie. But we must get ready, and to do that…”
Before finishing her sentence, Yeojin’s hands shifted from Kahei’s slim waist to her chest.
“Yeojin… What are you doing?”
“Getting your body fired up of course~”
It was DeJa’Vu for Kahei. Just like last time in the adult shop, she was once again ambushed from behind by Yeojin, her hands rubbing her sensitive spot while playing with her already erected nipples. Yeojin had familiarized herself with Kahei’s body, she didn’t overlook a single spot that would guarantee a reaction from Kahei. After all, they practiced a whole lot for this.
“Yeojin… Mmm… We can’t do this now… Jason is waiting for us…”
Clearly enjoying hearing from Kahei’s slurred speech, Yeojin showed no signs of stopping.
“I won’t let him in unless you are fully ready, unnie. He’ll turn into an actual monster when he sees your lewd expression hehe.”
“I’m not lewd at all…” Kahei tried to disagree, but she saw her reflection in the toilet mirror. Her pupils dilated, drool leaking out from the corners of her lips. Clearly her body is more honest than she is.
“No… Yeojin… I’m cumming!”
But just as she is about to reach her peak, Yeojin promptly stopped her movements, denying her orgasm.
“Tsk tsk, unnie. You are such a quick one as usual.” Yeojin said in a playful, almost condescending tone. “Don’t you want to reserve it for oppa first?”
“... Haah… You started it…”
“Yes, yes, I did. But now I think both of us are ready, I am getting turned on as well… Time to summon the beast himself.”
Yeojin took Kahei’s phone and called your number.
Meanwhile, back in the coffee shop…
It’s only been fifteen minutes, but it felt like an eternity.
“They do be taking their sweet time aren't they…” You complained to yourself. At the exact moment, your phone started to ring.
It’s that ringtone again.
It’s her.
But it’s not her voice.
“Oppa! We’re ready!” Yeojin’s voice can be heard loud and clear. “The room number is 9-12, we’re waiting for you!”
Just as you tried to respond, you heard another voice coming from the background.
“Mmmh!” A voice moaned.
Kahei?
Is she pleasuring herself?
It was DeJa’Vu for you. Just like last time over the phone, you once again heard her sultry voice moaning.
Adrenaline rushes to your brain as you quickly make your way to room 9-12.
You couldn’t possibly wait any longer, as you dashed towards your goal, ignoring judgemental eyes from others. The only scene you wanted to see, and indeed envisioned is Kahei and Yeojin sitting at the bedside, dressed up with their battle armour awaiting your arrival.
You finally arrived in front of the door. The only barrier between you and paradise is this wooden door in front of you. As your hand reached for the door handle, you stopped. Finally, you felt nervous, as you don’t know what to expect. You are afraid that if you have too much of an expectation, the more painful you’ll feel when you fall. But noises coming from the other side broke your train of thoughts.
“Yeojin… Stop… He’ll be here soon… You’re too rough!”
All hell breaks loose.
Of course, you know who that voice belonged to, of course you do. You heard that alluring voice countless times through the phone, but now it’s real.
It felt real.
It is real.
You gulped. Slowly, you turned the doorknob and opened the door. An inconceivably erotic scene appeared in front of your very own eyes.
Yeojin is pinning Kahei on the bed while simultaneously planting a deep kiss. Her tongue swirled around skilfully and formed strands of saliva as their mouths separated. Her hands are not idle as well, she slipped inside Kahei’s blue skirt and moved around while squelching sounds echoed across the room loud and clear.
“Yeojin stop… Jason?” Kahei snapped back from her trance the moment she saw you.
Your eyes couldn’t stop looking at the scene in front of you. This is wilder than your expectations could ever have imagined.
“Oppa! What took you so long?” Yeojin let go of her control and rushed to your side.
“We should start making out as soon as we can, right? I think someone cannot wait any longer~”
Yeojin’s petite figure bounced around, having the best time of her life. Her revealing mini skirt teases you as you can barely see her ass cheeks.
On the other side of the room, Kahei was drained from Yeojin’s previous assault, gasping for air and trying to regain her strength while lying on the bed.
“J… Jason… Don’t stare at me so much… It’s embarrassing…” Words slipped out from her drooling mouth, tears pooled around the edges of her eyes.
“What the hell did you do to Kahei, Yeojin?” You couldn’t believe she went through such a slutty transformation in just 15 minutes, all thanks to Yeojin no doubt. Not only have their outfits changed, but the entire mood of the room is also getting hotter and steamier.
“Oh, I am just preparing unnie to you, oppa! I thought you would like it.” Yeojin smiled, proudly. “Come on, don’t let her down now.”
You walked towards Kahei. Her face turned red as the bulge in your pants got more and more noticeable.
“I’ll take the lead first, okay?”
“Yes… Please do what you want to me…” Kahei said while looking at you with her big, loving eyes.
Knowing that she is in a vulnerable spot, you decided to start slow.
There is no turning back now, so you went into battle.
The anticipation of a kiss is building up as both of you move closer and closer to each other. A shared desire for the connection of your lips is getting stronger and stronger as well. As you bring your face closer to Kahei’s, you can't stop yourself from admiring her perfect visuals. Her big round eyes look deeply into yours with burning intensity as she yearns for your sensation. Her light and smooth skin shines under the lights, her plump lips glistened with anticipation, all in which further invites you to come closer.
Finally, your lips meet. A sweet flavour covers your taste buds, it must be her lip gloss. You closed your eyes and indulged in this new-found sensation. You moved slowly, savouring the sensation of your mouths finally connecting with each other. For all these years, you dreamed of hugging her and enjoying the warmth from her tiny body. All these years, you fantasized about how you would shower her with your love by planting deep kisses into her. And now, it has become a reality. No longer a dream, no longer something unreachable. You wish time would stop at this moment so you two can maintain contact for the rest of your lives.
“Aaah… Mmmh…”
Kahei moaned with pleasure, resonating with the wet sounds of your lips and tongue meeting each other. Your kiss intensifies as your hands wrapped around her waist. Surprisingly, Kahei responded by slipping her tongue deeper into your mouth, further escalating the intimacy and magnitude of the moment.
Finally, you let go. A pop sound can be heard as saliva dripped down from Kahei’s tongue to her chin. Perhaps the intensity was too strong for her, as her tongue was still sticking out when she gasped for air.
Too lewd.
“Haah… That feels… Too good…” Before you could respond, a naughty smirk appeared on her face. “Jason… I might get addicted to this…” Kahei said.
Uh oh.
Just when Kahei was about to make her next move, Yeojin who was waiting patiently from the side lines finally snapped. She was watching you two lovebirds enjoying yourselves without her, that is simply too cruel.
At this moment, Yeojin felt her body heating up. A voice ringing in her head telling her just BE HONEST. And now the choice lies within her hands, it’s up to herself whether she gave in for lust.
As you are still lovey-dovey with Kahei, you saw Yeojin slowly shuffled her way onto your bed.
“Oppa… Don’t ignore me, I’m still here you know?” Yeojin pouted as she complained. “You can do anything to me tonight, my body is yours to play with. Mess me up… Please?”
I guess she finally caved in as well. You can see it in her eyes, her facial expression, her entire body language. She is ready to accept anything that is going to be unleashed upon her.
Her fate is in your hands.
Or so you think.
Before you could have the chance to alter her reality, Yeojin took aim and stole the commander position from you. Her small body packs a punch, as she pinned you down and locked her lips with yours. Taken aback, you did what most men would do in this situation, which is asserting dominance.
But Yeojin was completely corrupted with lust, she refused to let this chance slip away, she refused to let your tongue slip away as well.
She turned to Kahei’s direction and gave her a playful look.
“Now it’s my turn… Right unnie?”
“But… Stopping halfway is cruel…” Kahei sulked. The sensation of your mouth still lingers on her lips, but she knows that you need to give some attention to Yeojin as well. After all, this trip would have been impossible without Yeojin’s help, so she needed some sort of compensation or reward too.
Yeojin’s hands are still working diligently while kissing you. She is constantly rubbing and massaging herself as her lower half is completely soaked to the point that fluids are leaking out, staining her blue miniskirt. She used her remaining free hand to slide across your chest, swirling around your nipples while lubricating it with her own juices. She worked her way downwards to your stomach…and finally arriving at your bulging crotch.
Her tiny body is completely pressed against yours as well. That doesn’t bother you at all, since she is basically pocket sized and light. Yeojin may be mini-sized, but her breasts are a different story.
“Oppa, your pants are in my way.” Yeojin said. “It’s so bothersome…”
With a clean jerk, she removed the only fabric barrier that is in the way between your erect member and the two girls.
Thanks to Kahei and Yeojin’s cheerleading session earlier, your shaft is standing tall and proud. It is throbbing in vain and drenched with precum. Amazed by its vigor, the two girls gathered around and stared at it intensely.
Especially Kahei.
“I had never seen this in real life, it’s so big…” Kahei was so shellshocked so lost the ability to speak coherently. But Yeojin, being the more experienced one, reminded Kahei what to do in this situation.
“Unnie, don’t just stare at it! Remember our training? You know what to do right~”
Just how much did they prepare anyways?!
Kahei slowly stuck out her tongue and licked your shaft from top to bottom. Slowly and steadily, she repeated her movements and continued to please you.
It is very apparent that her movements are very awkward, and she is trying very hard to hide her nervousness. But you know she is trying her best to satisfy you. She is venturing into a completely new area, risking it all just for you.
“It…feels very good, Kahei.” You patted her head, giving her a nod of approval. With her tongue still sticking out, she looked up to you and smiled. She felt happy that she can give you so much pleasure even though she is still an amateur.
Yeojin didn’t want to feel being left out, so she joined Kahei and double teamed you. While Kahei’s style is slower and mellower, Yeojin is unsurprisingly aggressive and experienced. Both girls licked your shaft at the same time, each carved up their own territory.
You thought to yourself you must be dreaming. Two beautiful LOONA members threw themselves at you and are working together to fulfill your wildest desire. But the sensation and slurping sounds they provide is very real. It is so real that you are unable to hold it back anymore.
“I’m… I’m cumming!”
Without waiting for their reaction, you shot your pent-up semen with great force, splattering onto both Kahei and Yeojin’s faces, covering them with your thick and white batter.
“There is so much of it…” Kahei was amazed by the sheer volume you ejected. On the other hand, Yeojin didn’t want your semen that was spread across their faces to go to waste.
“Unnie, semen is something that’s taken and tasted thoroughly you know? Like this~” She scooped up a generous amount of semen from Kahei’s face and inserted it into her mouth for her to have a taste.
“We can’t just waste Jason-oppa’s precious semen you know; it’s made out of love just for us!” Yeojin said as she licked clean the residue semen around her lips and showed Kahei how to properly enjoy it.
There is nothing you can do but act as a bystander at this point.
“Gargle it and really taste it through. A bit stinky, but normally it should taste salty. After you done that, open and let oppa see.”
“Like… Like this?” Kahei followed Yeojin’s instructions and gargled your semen in her mouth. The strong odor nearly caused her to have a gag reflex, but she pushed through it. She opened her mouth wide for you to examine.
“Aah…”
The white viscous liquid almost dripped out from her mouth, but she holds on to her position and lets you examine her thoroughly. This erotic scene happens all the time in adult videos, but you never thought that one day you would see your beloved Kahei acting like this. You quickly granted her permission to swallow, as her reflex is bubbling up again.
“Drink it.”
And she did. With a big gulp, she emptied her mouth and was getting ready to receive more of your love once more.
“You too, Yeojin. Swallow it all.”
You didn’t forget that Yeojin was also full of your cum, as her small mouth couldn’t keep in that much volume.
But just as Yeojin is about to engulf it all, Kahei intercepted her actions and stole her fill directly from her mouth. Without hesitation, she swallowed it all in one go. She proudly opened her mouth once again to let you examine it.
“Did I do a good job?” Kahei showed no signs of gagging, did she already get used to your semen?
“No fair, unnie! That was supposed to be mine!” Yeojin was not amused, as her chance to taste your love was stripped away.
Kahei was unfazed, she waited for this for too long, and now she is finally in the mood.
In the mood for MORE.
“I will start slow, okay?”
Neither you nor Kahei had any prior experience in the make out sector before. But you basically know the gist of it.
Kahei took off her skirt and laid down on the bed.
You’ve known Kahei for years, you’ve seen her naked body countless times over the phone during your “healing” sessions. But now it is no longer virtual.
It felt real.
It is real.
In real life, Kahei is way more attractive than any of her photos in your phone. Years of idol training has rendered her flawless in terms of body proportions. Her face card is always valid even without makeup. Mermaid lines are strikingly visible on her toned abs, together with her round and thick thighs made you wish to be suffocated in between them.
Kahei pulled her legs inwards to form a M shape, a position that is ready for you to devour her completely. Her entrance is already well lubricated thanks to her previous session, but there is something else that caught your attention.
Her pubic hair is nowhere to be found.
“You… shaved?”
“Yeojin dragged me to her laser hair removal session yesterday… And she convinced me to do it as well.” Kahei explained.
Of course. It is because of Yeojin.
“Unnie, I told you he would like it, now you believe me?” Yeojin grinned, pointing at your crotch.
Even after that blowjob section, your member regained its pride after seeing Kahei’s barren land.
Time waits for no one.
You took out a box of condoms from your wallet, saved for this very occasion. But Yeojin stopped you immediately.
"Oppa! Don't tell me you plan to use rubber tonight? Didn't we tell you that we want you to fill us up?"
"I thought that was just a figure of speech..."
"Seriously oppa. You are denser than a stack of bedrocks...You want some prove? I'll give you proof."
She took of her blue top, leaving her bare chest for you to admire. She is definitely bigger than Kahei, but her areola is smaller and pinker. She kept her miniskirt on, but of course nothing is beneath it.
"We are not joking around anymore, we meant it. We want it raw. We want you to fill us up. Breed us like there's no tomorrow..." Yeojin demanded as she lay down beside Kahei.
She wants you to decide.
Who will be the one to let you graduate from V-university?
"Who will you start first, oppa~" Her playful tone almost sounded condescending, yet somehow seductive.
Kahei didn't say anything to plead for your attention, but your eyes met.
That gaze. That power. The same determination.
You can see it from her eyes that she needs you.
She WANTS you.
Without hesitation, you leaned over and kissed Kahei on the lips, marking your choice to begin tonight's event.
"You're mine now, Kahei."
"Kahei, at your service. I'm all yours." Kahei said, beaming with happiness.
"Boo." Yeojin sulked.
You started slow, as your shaft slowly disappeared inside Kahei’s body. The sensation of her vaginal walls clamping down tightly with your cock nearly made you climax. You noticed Kahei’s body is trembling, since it is her first time, she is still adapting to your size. You moved your body in a piston-like motion, and her body reacted every time your cock scrapes her insides. It was painful at first, but soon pain turns into pleasure. Her body finally accepted you and your energetic cock.
“This is completely different than using my hands…” Kahei moaned while you continued to pleasure her with no signs of stopping.
“Vivi-unnie… It’s not fair that you hog oppa on your own…”
While you are still focused on bringing Kahei to pound town, Yeojin unleased a stealth attack on Kahei’s already stiffened nipples.
“This is what you get for leaving me out from the mix.”
You couldn’t stop yourself from moving your hips, nor could you stop Yeojin’s relentless assault onto Kahei, so you just leave her doing her own thing while you focus on making her as pleasurable as possible.
“Two at the same time is too much…” Kahei was overwhelmed by pleasure from two sources. Electricity sparked from her head to toes, a sensation she never achieved by her mere fingers. This can only be obtained by someone who she loves, who she wanted all.
And that is you.
The constant pounding, the moaning sounds of pleasures added with Kahei’s fazed yet satisfied expressions made you reached climax in no time.
“Kahei… I’m cumming!”
Instinctively, her legs wrapped around your waist, locking you into [position to prevent you from releasing anywhere except her insides. Waves and waves of guilty pleasure released inside her already warm body as her body responded with spasms of happiness.
She accepted all of you without wasting a single drop outside.
“So, this is what real sex feels like…” Kahei murmured. “I think I can get used to this after all…”
After uttering those words, Kahei collapsed onto the bed.
“Kahei? Kahei are you okay?”
No respond. She has been knocked out by your intense session while your member is STILL inside her.
You pulled out your soften shaft from her body. Streaks of white liquid leaked out from her vagina as the huge amount you deposited into her finally overflowed.
It sure is tiresome, it’s even more tiresome than that time you participated in a triathlon. But you saw Kahei’s expression.
Although she has been knocked out cold, but you can see a faint smile appeared on her face. She has been fulfilled, both physically and mentally. Her satisfied expression makes this all worth it.
Just as you are admired your work of art, Yeojin pinned you down on the bed and stuffed her mouth full of your cock.
“Yeojin, wait! I’m still sensitive, I just finished one round you know?”
“Bu you told me I’m next! This filthy cock of yours needs some cleaning, be grateful I’m doing this to you alright?” Yeojin beamed.
She skilfully licked your shaft from the base to the tip, cleaning up every single inch of it spotlessly. She is making sure that your member is ready for another round of intense love making. It’s almost like she is casting a spell onto you, your member became erect and regained its vigour after her treatment.
“You are too easy, oppa~” Yeojin mocked. “I already know your weak spots already, so just surrender yourself to me, would ya?”
“I already know your weak spots already… Weak spots already… Weak spots already…”
That line irritates you.
The fact that she thinks she got the hold of you just after one encounter is extremely annoying, Plus, Yeojin corrupted your best friend, Kahei to a degree that she can never be as pure as she was, ever again. Sure, you and Kahei had the bare minimum of sexual encounters, but that was all virtual.
To think that the adorable Kahei you know has transformed into this lustful version of herself is unforgivable.
UNFORGIVABLE.
You glanced at Kahei’s direction. She is still in her own dreamland. Now you don’t need to refrain yourself about using vulgar language anymore. Your blood is boiling with anger. The only thing on your mind right now is to give Yeojin the treatment she deserves.
Punishment.
You shoved Yeojin out of the way.
“Who the fuck do you think you are?” You yelled. Yeojin is already partially naked, she removed all her clothing except for that miniskirt when you and Kahei were going down just now. Because of that, it was easy for you to handle Yeojin like a toy, which is what you intended to do. You lifted her voluptuous ass facing in front of you, as you are ready to ravage that gaping hole of hers.
Unsurprisingly, Yeojin was not bothered by your words. In fact, it had the opposite effect. She was getting aroused.
“What’s the matter oppa? Can’t wait any longer? Come on…”
“Shut up!”
You slapped Yeojin’s ass cheeks. Red marks appeared, a stark contrast with her pale skin.
“Know your place! You are just a needy bitch who begs for sex. Why the fuck would I consider you as my partner anyway?”
Those words clearly hurt Yeojin’s pride.
“But I am more experienced than unnie…”
Without letting her finish her words, you thrust your cock into her hole with full force, no holding back.
“Hnngh! You’re so big… And thick! How can it be this thick?” Yeojin gasped.
“Still talking? Fine, I’ll fuck your brains out until you shut up already!”
You continued to ravage that tiny body of hers. Yeojin moaned with joy every time you plunge your thick cock into her body and filling her up.
Her walls tightened every time you move, she is not letting you go until you climaxed with her.
At this point Yeojin finally stopped talking, unintelligible noises and moans is the only form of communication she knows as she has been fucked crazy.
Or so you think.
You nearly reached your limit, as you prepare to unleash your third load of the day.
But then Yeojin noticed. She wants the same treatment as her unnie does. She wants you seed to be unleashed all inside her. Couldn’t hold back her true intentions, she finally yelled out her request.
“Oppa… Shoot it all inside me! Inseminate me with your thick cum and make me all yours!!”
Under normal circumstances this should make up reach your peak immediately, can you even imagine Kahei saying this to you?
But not this time.
This is supposed to be a punishment, a rehabilitation of hers to know her own place. What kind of punishment is that if she is having pleasure and gets all she wants?
But just as she is about to reach her peak, you promptly stopped your movements, denying her orgasm. What goes around comes around, I guess. She did that to Kahei, and now it’s time to let her taste her own medicine.
You pulled out your cock that is just about to erupt a second ago. Yeojin’s face full of disappointment and disbelief.
“But… But why oppa?” Tears nearly poured out from her eyes.
But that doesn’t work on you.
“If you want it, beg for it.” You declared. “Beg for it like you mean it.”
She quickly followed your instructions.
Yeojin laid down with her front facing your way. She begs for your attention as she spreads her labia wide open for you.
“Please… Please shoot all your hot, thick semen inside me! Breed me and impregnate me as you wish! Do whatever you want to me…” The usual chippy and cheerful Yeojin has disappeared.
Tumblr media
The only thing left on her mind is wanting you to put a child inside her.
“Well said, Yeojin.” You lifted her lower body. “But you forgot one important thing, YOU ARE JUST A TOY FOR ME.”
Once again you plunged your hardened cock into her, but not the one that she requested for.
“A… Anal??” A brand-new sensation gushed through her body as your member slid in and out from her butthole.
“You will never-ever get the same treatment as Kahei, you hear that?” You continued your movements while ignoring Yeojin’s refusal. “Kahei is the only one I cared about, and you will always be just a tool for me, got it?”
“Y… Yes oppa…” Yeojin’s vision began to blur. She claimed to have a lot of experience, but never with anal sex. Your treatment is so severe that her tiny body couldn’t take it anymore. Her body began to loosen up, her eyes rolled up while her tongue is sticking out.
Finally, you reached your peak and ejaculated all your semen inside her hole. Although it is the third shot of the day, the amount you deposited into her body is still that much. Yeojin’s body shivers with pleasure while she pants for air.
Perhaps finally Yeojin had learnt her lesson.
“You are going to shit white tomorrow, you know that?”
But there is no response.
“Yeojin?”
She is still breathing, thank God. But the rough sex you gave her has completely knocked her out.
Experienced my ass.
You looked around. Two beautiful girls lying on the bed, sleeping soundly because of you.
What a sight to behold.
Fatigue finally catches onto you, as you collapsed onto the bed and slowly drifted into slumberland…
A few hours later…
“W… What time is it?”
You finally woke up. I guess after a few consecutive ejaculations, you finally reached your limit and passed out like the two girls.
You felt a soft sensation on your right hand.
“Hmm?” You squeezed.
“Hello, sleepy head.”
Kahei’s…voice?
She is lying down next to you, snuggling up cosily AROUND YOU.
Also, your hand is on her ass.
“Hey, are you done touching?” She sneered.
“I mean… No. Of course.” You joked.
“… Pervert.”
You glanced at the wall clock, it is almost dawn. Yeojin is still sleeping soundly. I guess you really messed her up big time. Perhaps she will finally learn her lesson for good and stop being such a cheeky little brat.
“Jason…you told Yeojin that I’m the only one you cared about. Is that true?” Kahei said while raising her eyebrows in classic Gowon fashion.
“Wait, you heard us? I thought you passed out!”
“Well, anyone would be awake after all that loud noise you two made.”
Figures.
But now it is not the time for jokes or punchlines. This is the perfect moment for you to declare your feelings to her. If you don’t do it now, you might never have the chance again.
“Kahei.” You looked her right into her eyes.
“I like you. I liked you since out school days, but I never had the courage to told you so because I don’t want to jeopardize your dreams of becoming a singer…”
“Really?” Kahei chuckled. “I wish you’d told me sooner.”
“Why?” You asked.
“Do you still remember that field trip we had? The one we went to the beach?”
Oh right. Secondary school.
-flashback-
You and Kahei go way back. That year you are lucky enough to be drafted into the same class as hers. Although she is not the most active and outgoing member of the class, she still exudes a kind of motherly aura, as she always cares about people around her.
You two rarely talked to each other, but one fateful encounter propelled you into her orbit.
You class organized an outing to a nearby beach, something about camping and making memories, you couldn’t remember the details. But there was one activity that was so memorable, it sculpted as one of your precious core memories.
For some reason the guys in your class wanted to play dodgeball. So, your teacher at the time compromised and split the class into groups. You quickly realized that one of the classmates from your opponent’s team was none other than Kahei herself. You probably assumed that she would suck at sports, since she doesn’t strike you as a sporty gal.
But surprisingly, when her team was falling behind, she started acting as the de facto team captain, and started giving out commands.
“Attack, ATTACK!!”
It’s like a warzone out there.
Finally, her team overwhelmed yours and won the championship match.
All thanks to Kahei.
What an interesting individual, you thought. You want to know more about her, but you need to act fast.
You carefully approach her after the game and started a conversation.
“Hiya.”
“Hi.”
She was taken aback by your sudden introduction. But you pressed on.
“So… You played dodgeball before?”
“Not really, this is my first time.”
“I see.”
And so, the conversation goes on back and forth. It didn’t matter that this is your first real conversation, you two clicked instantly and chat about a lot of subjects.
The teacher’s voice let you two snapped back to reality as it was close to night-time already.
“Well, it was nice talking with you. I’ll see you soon.” Kahei smiled.
You never believed in love at first sight, but her smile just melted your heart.
A surge of courage led you made a bold decision.
“Hey! Kahei…right? We are on the beach anyways, you want to watch the sunrise later?”
“Umm…sure? But can you crawl up that early?” She smiled again.
Butterflies.
“Of course, I can!” A mans pride is something needed to be protected. “5 am?”
“5 am it is.”
And thus, it begins.
-end of flashback-
“Of course, I remembered the sunrise! I still can’t figure it out where I got the courage to ask you out, Kahei.”
“I didn’t know why I accepted your invitation either.” She chuckled. “Perhaps its fate.”
“Maybe. But back to the point…you haven’t given me an answer, yet you know?”
You basically confessed to Kahei, but you two are immersed in your own flashback, she didn’t have a chance to respond.
“Well…”
Gulp.
“Close your eyes first.” Kahei said.
“But wh-”
“Just do it, okay?”
You closed your eyes, waiting for her response.
A soft sensation landed on your lips, intertwined with emotions and love.
You opened your eyes, and you saw that familiar smile again. That smile that made you fall in love with.
Tumblr media
“Take care of me from now on, okay?”
“Of course, Kahei.”
A string of line poured through the window, the sun is rising as you two finally cleared up your relationship.
“Well, want to see the sunrise again?” Once again you gave the invitation out.
“Why not do it?”
Just as you two getting dressed and ready to go out, that familiar booming voice strikes back.
“NO FAIRRRRRRRR!!!”
It seems that Yeojin has emerged from her slumber.
“Ya oppa, I heard everything! What about me? Why didn’t you even consider me?”
What’s up with girls pretending to sleep and eavesdropping these days? But since your decision is official, Kahei managed to stand up for herself.
“Yeojin.” Kahei said firmly. “I know that it would be impossible for Jason and me together without your help, and I will give you credit for that. But there is only one person who can be his girlfriend, and that is me.”
Facts.
“But unnie… What happened between me and Jason-oppa is something I never experience before…”
Again, facts. Maybe because she was the only child in her family that made her a spoiled brat.
“IT FELT SO GOOD!”
Wait, what?
“I want to try something even more extreme with Jason-oppa…couldn’t we find a compromise?”
It seems that your plan has just backfired spectacularly.
“Well… It seems fair that you get some kind of compensation. Alright, occasionally is fine.”
Why in the world would you agree with her, Kahei?
“Since that problem has been resolved… Let’s go see the sunrise together!”
You don’t the right to voice out your opinion in this situation. But what guy could turn down this offer anyways? The three of you went outside just in time to see the sunrise. It’s been a while since you had the liberty to enjoy something that basic as sunrise. But now you are not alone. You have your girlfriend on your side… As well as Yeojin, wherever she fits in the picture.
Tumblr media
Kahei is clearly enjoying herself. The same warm sunlight that shined upon you years ago has made a comeback, and it is better than ever. The question that has haunted her for years, the unsolved mystery between you and herself has been resolved. A sigh of relief puffed away with all her troubles, gone.
And now it is your job to fulfil her for the rest of your lives.
Meanwhile, Yeojin whispered some breaking news in your ears.
“Oppa… I just texted everyone in our group chat about your existence. They will give you a welcome party at our practice room as soon as we go back, isn’t that exciting?!”
And with that, your harem life with all 12 LOONA members has just begun.
The able-bodied Heejin, the endearing Hyunjin, the caretaking Haseul, the adventurous Yeojin, the lovable Kahei, the chic Jungeun, the dorky Jinsol, the sunshine Yerim, the warm hearted Sooyoung, the cutesy Jiwoo, the princess Chaewon and the ice queen herself Hyeju.
Dear me.

Purpose
Yandere Strawhats x Isekai Reader
1.8k words
This is a fic based off of @lovelybrooke ‘s One Piece Isekai Reader fics. This is just my take on what would happen if the reader joined the crew earlier. Also, even though this says strawhats x reader, it’s almost entirely just Robin.
It’s official, you never want to be in a desert ever again for the rest of your life after everything you’ve been through. First you spend days trudging through the country of Alabasta in the unbearable heat, and then what happens when you finally reach Rainbase??? Marines are immediately on all your asses. Not even a minute of rest.
You’re coughing and gasping for breath as you vault yourself over some barrels in an alleyway, but manage to quiet down long enough for the marines that were tailing you to run by. As you sit on the ground trying to get your breathing under control, you realize something.
You’re all alone.
Wait, what? No. How could that happen? You were just with Zoro- Oh wait. Yeah nevermind that checks out. If there’s anyone who would get separated from you while on the run it would be him. You groan and pinch the bridge of your nose as you try and figure out what to do now. Wracking your brain, you try to remember where everyone is supposed to be right now.
It’s been awhile since you watched the Alabasta arc, but if you’re remembering correctly, Luffy, Usopp, Nami, Zoro, and Vivi either are or are about to be trapped by Crocodile. That leaves you with Chopper and Sanji, but how the hell are you supposed to find them in all this chaos. Can’t exactly go running around yelling for them, not with all the marines and baroque works agents combing the area. Maybe if you could find a change of clothes and something to obscure your face it would be safer?
“My, my, I’m surprised to see you all alone like this.”
An admittedly embarrassing yelp erupts out of you. You scramble to get up and away, but numerous arms spring out of the ground and walls around you, stopping you dead in your tracks. The arms spin you around and you see Nico Robin casually sitting on one of the barrels you were using to hide.
You want to ask what she wants with you, but all your words are lodged in your throat. The last time you saw her was right after leaving Whiskey Peak, and she was every bit as intimidating now as she was back then. Sure, she would eventually go on to join the strawhats, but until that happened, she was not someone to let your guard down around.
Your silence only seemed to amuse her, “Why so quiet, (y/n)? Cat got your tongue?” Robin gracefully walked towards you, eyes not leaving your form for a second. Her hand, a real one this time, gripped your chin. She tilted your head in several directions, looking at you as if you were some mildly intriguing puzzle.
Not liking the way she was looking at you at all, you ripped your face out of her hand and tried to give her the meanest stare you could manage. Letting her know just how scared you were right now probably wouldn’t be the best idea.”Wh-What do you want?” Oh dammit, you just had to stutter didn’t you?
Robin laughed at your attempt to look tough, clearly not convinced in the slightest. She dismissed some of her arms so she could pace around you, only keeping the ones holding your legs to the ground. She obviously didn’t find you threatening enough to concern herself with restricting your arms.
She took her sweet time answering your question, you were almost startled when she did speak up again.
“I don’t want much from you, I’m just trying to sate my curiosity.” What curiosity? Was she hoping to get some information about the Strawhats out of you? Robin continued. “I wonder, can you tell me what exactly your role on that ship is? There’s a captain, a swordsman, a navigator, a sniper, a cook, and now even a doctor, but what,” she stopped in front of your face, “is your purpose?”
You tried to lean back to put some distance between you two, but she didn’t let you do that. Her hand returned to your chin with a much firmer grip this time, “Well? Come now, don’t keep me waiting.”
“I’m… I uh…” Robin’s question caught you a bit off guard. It stung a bit too if you were being completely honest. You didn’t need her to tell you that you were dead weight to the Strawhats. Afterall, all you had done was wake up on their ship just as they were heading for the Grand Line, and they just so happened to take pity on you and not throw you off. They were so generous to you, and for what? A little help around the ship and someone to play games with? Please. “I don’t have a purpose. I’m just a stowaway, I guess.”
The smile Robin was sporting before drooped ever so slightly from your answer, her grip loosened too, but you didn’t care enough to pull away this time. She hummed, “I would say your role exceeds that of a stowaway at this point, they’re all far too fond of you for that to be it.”
Her response confused you. How would she know how they feel about you? She’s only ever seen you with them very briefly, a few minutes at most when she appeared on the Going Merry a while back. Surely she couldn’t have gleaned much from that. Unless…. “Have… Have you been spying on us?”
She giggled at your question, “Are you really that surprised? Your crew made an enemy of my boss, of course I’ve been keeping tabs on you all. Though I’ll admit, you have piqued my interest more than I expected you would. You’re interesting, and there aren’t many things that I consider to be all that interesting.”
The rumbling noise of footsteps headed your way caught Robin’s attention, her expression hardened instantly. In a split second, more hands sprouted from the ground and pulled you down. Before you could make a noise, another hand clamped itself over your mouth. Robin turned her back to you and headed towards the entrance of the alleyway just as a group of baroque works agents approached.
“Miss All Sunday! What are you doing here?”
“Since when were any of you in a position to question me?” Her voice was harsh, a cold contrast to the warmer, playful voice she had spoken to you in. The agents were quick to realize their mistake and were frantically trying to backpedal out of what was just said. Robin huffed, “I’m here to make sure the Princess doesn’t slip away. I’ve already gone through this area and no one of interest is here, go look somewhere else.”
They didn’t need to be told twice and took off without ever having noticed you. All you could do was look up at her with a baffled expression. Wouldn’t Robin want to bring you to Crocodile, too? Sure, it’s not like you were any real threat, but it didn’t make sense to just let you go either. Maybe she had her own plans for you?
Robin turned back to you with an unreadable expression, studying you for a moment. With a sigh, she waved her hand and all the arms holding you down disappeared. Every single one. “I’m afraid I have more pressing matters to concern myself with right now,” she offered her hand to you, pulling you to your feet when you accepted it. “But… I’ll see to it that we meet again.”
With that, she spun on her heels and began walking away. You just stood there dumbly, not really sure what to make of this whole interaction. Why would she up and spare you like this? Why is she being so nice to you?
“Oh, and I think I know what your role is,” Robin looked over her shoulder at you. The look on her face was bizarrely soft, but there was a hint of something darker lurking just beneath the surface. It sent a chill down your spine and rooted you to the spot. “You’re their treasure.”
What? “Their- Their treasure???” You don’t know what you expected to hear, but it certainly wasn’t that.
Robin giggled at your blatant confusion, “Every pirate needs treasure, yes? You’re theirs, and I must admit, I can see the appeal.” Not even giving you the chance to respond to that confession, she left.
Just when you thought that this world and the people in it couldn’t get anymore confusing, she hits you with that. It made no sense, she doesn’t know you. This was the first time she’d had a conversation with you, and yet she just gave you the same strange look the Strawhats keep giving you.
Now that you were thinking about it, even Ace was acting weird when he was still traveling with you guys. He was constantly in your personal space (though admittedly, you weren’t exactly complaining about it), and kept trying to convince you to join the Whitebeard pirates. He only stopped because Luffy was getting genuinely upset about it. After that, he only asked one more time, whispering the offer in your ear as he hugged you goodbye.
What the hell is going on?
“Wahhh, (y/n)!” You’re ripped from your thoughts by a much smaller form running up to you and attaching itself to your leg. “I got separated from everyone else when the marines showed up, I’m so glad I found you!” Chopper sounded like he was about to cry from the stress of the current situation. He looked around quickly, “Wait, where is everyone else? Don’t tell me you’re alone, too!”
You couldn’t help but chuckle, “Sorry Chopper, I’m afraid I am. Zoro got lost when we were running away.” You pat his hat, trying to reassure him. “How about we go and look for the others now that we’re together?” By others, you meant Sanji, but you weren’t supposed to know that so you’re just gonna keep that part to yourself.
“Okay, that sounds like a good idea. Are you alright, though? You didn’t get hurt while you were on your own, right?” The doctor in him came out as he gave you a onceover to look for any possible injuries. “Did something happen? You look awfully pale!”
“Oh- Um, no, nothing happened. I’m just a bit tired after running for so long, that’s it!” You forced out a laugh and hoped it didn’t sound as fake as it felt. Chopper didn’t need to know about your interaction with Robin, it would just stress him out. “Come on, Chopper, let’s get going.”
He didn’t look like he completely believed you, but he didn’t call you out on it either. Probably eager to get more people with you, wanting to have more safety in numbers. As you two slipped out of the alley, grateful to have no enemies in sight, your mind couldn’t help but go back to wondering what was going on with all the characters here.
It was so strange. If you didn’t know any better you would think they’re all obsessed with you.

Let’s Be Honest He Appeals To Women A Different Way
Tumblr media
People call Oda Oda sexist, but in my opinion focusing on his target demographic isn’t bad. Girls aren’t excluded but I think it’s good he’s not automatically pandering to them through romance because in my opinion if he did those elements would feel forced in this show. And I think unintentional pandering to your unintended audience tends to be better than when you intentionally do so and it could potentially turned off that segment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most obvious attraction that women have to this series is the dilf hot males, especially the villains. Seriously, it’s really the most unintentional of pandeirng that Oda creates these types of villains and the female audience eats it up. While most shonen series focuses on hot young men, this series give attraction to old men as well and we female fans are eating it all up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And again the female characters, despite the criticisms of same character mold I do think when it comes down to it excluding romance has helped. Seriously, while on the surface level the latter three are attractive and used for fan service, Oda does his best to also flesh out their characters. For instance, Nami and Robin are different types of smart guys on the crew and are critical to helping Luffy on his journey by traveling safely through the world and knowing the secrets about the messages of the Poneglyphs. In my opinion, it makes them stand out to me because they serve more than fanservice but also as people who have their place in the story. They might not get as much fights, but they manage to be strong female characters in their own right.
Another is Vivi who isn’t the strongest fighter but has the strongest spirit and has taken on evil organizations and now the government itself to stand up for what she believes is right. Vivi might not be an official member but she is in spirit a close secret ally of the crew and her presence really brought a great dynamic from the crew that makes them all still miss her being around.
And finally Big Mom why is she on this list, because interesting enough Oda could have just made her a one dimensional fat fuck, but instead he made her a complex character even though she’s a villainess. And even though everything she’s gone through is not an excuse for her behavior, it still makes her a compelling character to read because again someone like her ended up this way because so many people wanted to use her and enable her worst qualities for their selfish ends. And in the end we have a woman who not only can’t emphasize with people and feels entitled to everything due to how she was taught to see the world. In my opinion Oda, didn’t have to do this but I am glad and it makes antagonists like her very happy to see.
Tumblr media
And again even though One Piece isn’t about romance, it really gives compelling canon couples some spotlight. Seriously, one of them is Capone and Chiffon, who you wouldn’t think make a wholesome couple but they do. He seriously showers this woman who was so abused by her mother for what her sister did and adores the son they have together. He even goes up against her brother who was going to kill her even though she pleaded to leave her. This guy really does love his wife and would anything for her like a real man would. And again in my opinion, lovey dovey romance is something Oda will never do but I admit I think any woman would want a man like Capone to stand up for her like that. And in my opinion, if you ever see a married couple in this franchise you will bet your ass that married couple will have something deep and lasting. With exceptions being Yassop and Big Mom herself.

Good Neighbors Part 4 (Steddie X Reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: This started one way and went another. Certain night time activities may have also been a factor but let's just say... fucking hell this got me🥵 .
Warning: Steddie relationship and all that that implies. (I regret nothing!) This one is a little rougher than the past ones but they are still cute as hell with her son and they still love our reader. She's definitely got a bit of brat thing going on.
Word count: 3443
You glare into the void as you sit outside your apartment on the stairs smoking one of Eddie’s cigarette’s that you stole out of his jacket pocket. Today had been Dylan’s birthday party which he absolutely enjoyed. A few friends and family came over including your boys. You allowed Charlie to make an appearance and that’s when things started to fall downhill.
You expected him to show up alone after work but he brought her. The woman that he cheated on you with in YOUR house on YOUR bed. You understood that Charlie was going to keep dating. Hell, you were technically dating. But the fact that he brought her of all people just triggered all those negative emotions. You tried not to let it show but your grumpy attitude leaked through.
“Hey, do you need help with anything?” Steve comes into the kitchen, gently touching your back. You jerk to the side away from him.
“No, I got it.”
“Whew! These kids are exhausting.” Your sister throws herself into a chair next to you. You reply with a subtle “hm”. Eddie’s eyes glance over at you with concern.
“You son is looking for you.” You jump at the sound of Eddie’s voice.
“Jesus Christ, Eddie! Do you always have to scare me?! Wear a fucking bell.” You put out the cigarette on the concrete and rise to head back inside.
He reaches out with his arm blocking you from entering the apartment. “Whatever is wrong with you right now, you need to get it in check because it has nothing to do with that kid in there. Don’t spoil his good time with your shit attitude.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, swatting his arm out of the way. As soon as you walk in Dylan runs to your side. “Mommy! Can Patrick stay over tonight?”
“Um, I don’t see why not.” You feel eyes watching you. You turn to see who they belong to, finding Eddie and Steve murmuring to each other.
“Dil! Come give me a hug. We’re leaving, Kid.” Charlie yells from the door. You son runs over to his father and Charlies lifts him into the air giving him a big bear hug. “Say goodbye to Vivian.”
“Bye Vivi.” He leans over wrapping his arms around her neck as she kisses his cheek and you feel the anger rise into your throat. They leave without acknowledging your presence and you’re fine with that. You didn’t think you could even pretend to be nice to her.
The only people left were now your neighbors. “Dylan, say goodbye to Steve and Eddie.”
“Are we leaving?” Eddie asks, his head tilted to the side.
“Yes, you are.”
“Oh, mom. Can’t they stay for a little bit longer?” When you shook your head, he began to whine.
“Dylan! Not tonight, baby, okay?”
Steve who had his eyes glued to you with his arms folded now walked confidently in your direction. “Ok, that’s enough of that.” He mutters under his breath. “Hey, Little Man, we’ll be right back, ok?” He grabs your upper arm roughly and drags you out the front of your apartment into theirs. “What’s wrong?” Steve pulls you closer to his face as he stares down at you angrily.
You try to pull out of his grasp but he just grips you tighter. “Right now, Steve, you are what’s wrong. Let me go!”
“Did something happen with Charlie?”, he asks
“I’m betting it’s the girl he brought.” Eddie came up to his side. “Is that thee girl?”
“I said let go!” You manage to get out Steve’s grasp with one strong tug.
“That’s a yes.” Eddie chuckles as he crosses his arms.
“Don’t do that. Don’t laugh at me! I don’t have to explain myself to either of you.”
“You’re right. You don’t have to but you should want to. That’s what people in relationships do.”
“Is that what this is?”
“Ah ah ah.” Steve holds up his hand and walks towards you slowly backing you into the living room wall. “I would be very careful with what you say next. We know you’re upset and we understand that but that doesn’t give you a license to be mean.”
You stand up straighter, looking him dead in the eye. “Say what you really mean. ‘That doesn’t give you license to be a bitch.’”
He smiles at you then and turns to Eddie who grins back, shrugging his shoulders. They both turn their back to you and head out the front door. You grab one of the pillows off the couch and scream into it. After a few minutes, you regain your composure and head back into the fray.
Dylan and Patrick are still on the floor playing the new video game your sister bought him. Steve was in the kitchen washing dishes as Eddie scrambled around the apartment picking up trash and bringing dirty plates to the sink. Neither of them acknowledged you as you walked through the door. You casually walk into the living room and sit on the floor with your son. The game pauses as his friend declares he has to pee and runs towards the restroom.
You tap Dylan on the opposite shoulder from you and he turns his head giggling when he looks the wrong way. He climbs into your lap and you wrap your arms tightly around him, kissing the top of his head.
“Did you have a good birthday party?”
“Yeah! It was so much fun. Thank you!” The little boy kisses your cheek and you feel your wall begin to crack.
“Hey. I’m sorry I snapped at you. Mommy’s just…exhausted.” You place the back of your hand over your forehead and dramatically sigh. He smiles at your theatrics.
“It ok. I know you were just upset because Vivi showed up. Daddy asked me if it was ok. I told him no.”
You felt your anger start to rise again. “Honey, you didn’t have to do that.”
“I know but she makes you sad.”
The mama bear inside of you snapped. You were angry that your son asked your ex not to bring her and he did anyway but now you were even more upset not just with Charlie but yourself because you thought you hid that pain better. Dylan was already going through enough with the divorce. You didn’t want to add to it in any way.
Patrick barreled back into the living room, grabbing the controller and unpausing the game.
“Hey! Not fair! I wasn’t ready!”
You slowly get up from the floor and head towards your bedroom. You knew you left your phone plugged in on the bedside table but it was now gone.
“Looking for something?”
Steve leans against the wall with his hands in his pockets.
“Where is my phone, Steve?”
His eyes zero in on yours. “You can’t call him.”
“I’m sorry. Did you just tell me I can’t do something?”
“I’m trying to help, Y/N. If you call him now screaming at him when you’re like this, it’s just going to give him more ammunition. You already have enough on your plate. Both of you.”
“I don’t need your help! I know how to handle my ex and I can take care of my son. Believe it or not, I did it for a whole 6 years before you two came into my life.”
“Wow, I guess we see where Dylan gets his tantrums from.” Eddie leans into the doorframe with both hands on either side.
“Give me. My. Phone.”
They both turn on you again leaving you standing there by yourself fuming. You run after them but stop when you see Dylan in Eddie’s arms. “Ok, Kid. We’re heading out now. Next time I come over I’m teaching you some D & D, ok?”
Dylan wraps his arms around his neck and thanks Eddie for the small guitar he gave him. Steve reaches out and takes the boy from his arms.
“It’s boring. You’ll hate it.” Dylan giggles, shaking his head.
“Thank you for my skates!”
“Hey, no problem, dude. Anyway, we can find to rep house griffin, right?”
Without meaning to, a small laugh escapes your lips. All 3 heads turn to look at you.
“Gryffindor, Steve.”
His eyes roll to the back of his head. “Whatever. Here, take this weirdo before I actually retain any of that.”, he says jokingly as he passes Dylan to you.
You place him on his feet. “Ok, boys, go get ready for bed. I’ll be right back, ok?”
Eddie and Steve are already halfway into their apartment by the time you catch up to them.
“Steven! Give me my phone.”
“Or what?” He smiles down at you cheekily as he slams the door shut.
#####################
A few hours later, you find yourself still awake, staring pensively at the ceiling. You know it’s not they’re fault. They did nothing to ensure your wrath but you couldn’t bring yourself back down from that ledge.
You were still running through the day’s events when a subtle bass beat grabs your attention. Opening your bedroom door, you hear it louder in the hall. You gently open Dylan’s bedroom but when you step inside you hear nothing. Closing his door, you follow the sound, finding yourself outside of Steve and Eddie’s apartment door.
Really? Ok, they want to play. I can play.
You bang on their door with your fist but no one answers. You pound on it louder and continuously until finally it swings open. Steve stands there in just his underwear, with a hazy look in his eyes.
“Excuse me, ma’am. There are children trying to sleep. Can you keep the noise down?” He starts to close the door again but you block it with your bare foot as you stomp inside. Their dwelling smells incredibly strong like weed and cigarettes.
“Heeeeey!” You hear Eddie screech from somewhere in the living room. You walk over to find him lying on his back on the floor in his boxers, a cigarette dangling from his mouth. You narrow your eyes at him as you reach out towards the stereo and turn off the music.
He jumps to his feet, standing face to face with you. Grinning, he extended his arm, turning it back on. When you start to lift your arm again, he grabs your wrist and spins you in the opposite direction. Your body smacks chest first into Steve.
“We have the settings just right, you know.”
“Yeah, just right to annoy the hell out of me.”
They both laugh. “To be fair, Princess, you started it. Your bratty attitude annoyed the hell out of us today.”
“Technically yesterday being as its 2 am.” Steve cackles as he looks at his watch.
You roll your eyes, crossing your arms. “And I’m the one acting like a little kid.”
“Jesus, she still has that fucking tone.” Eddie whines as he smashes the cigarette he was smoking into the nearby ashtray.
“Oh, be careful, Eds. She’s getting that angry look again.” Steve circles around you like a vulture.
“Stop.”
“Stop what?”
“Stop talking about me like I’m not here.”
“Oh Sweetheart.” Eddie starts sauntering around you as well. “We’ve been acting like you aren’t here all night. Haven’t we, Stevie?”
Steve smiles a Cheshire like grin. “Oh yeah. Since supposedly this,” he gestures between the three of you, “isn’t a real relationship or anything. Isn’t that what you said?”
A wicked grin spreads across your face as you laugh at them. They both stop moving, Steve in front of you and Eddie behind you. “I’m sorry. Did I give off the impression that I’m some timid little PTA mom who bakes pies and shit?” You stalk towards Steve guiding him backwards. “You can’t intimidate me, Steve Harrington. Neither of you can!” You turn to look at Eddie who was still in the same place with his arms folded.
Steve’s smile returned but there was something behind it, something that made your knees weak and your stomach flip.
“Intimidation isn’t the name of the game, baby. It’s humiliation.” He leaned his back against the wall looking down his nose at you as Eddie chuckled. His tone dropped so low you could barely hear him. “How do you think we felt when you were mean to us today? When you said what you said. Frankly we’re kind of tired of it. There’s no reason this has to be so difficult.”
Eddie comes up behind you, poking you in the side. When you turn, he shoves your phone into your hands. You look down at as if you’ve never seen it before. You were so focused on being angry at them that you forgot they even had it.
They both move away and leave you standing there. You hear the music begin to play again and the sound of them moving around behind you. Smoke suddenly fills the air and when you finally turn around you find them on the floor, Steve leaning back on Eddie’s chest as they passed the joint back and forth.
You sat diagonally from them and once again they didn’t acknowledge your presence. It hurt you but instead of being angry about it, you now felt like you deserved it.
“You were right, Eddie. Vivian was THEE girl. I came home during my lunch break to pick up something I forgot and I found them together. I found out later that everyone knew, our friends and his family. No one told me a god damn thing.” You glanced in their direction. They still weren’t looking at you but you could tell they were listening. “I know he’s going to be with other women. I know that. I know that they are going to be around my son and I know it’s not fair for me to be upset about it since you two spend almost everyday around him but… why does it have to be her?”
You crawl over to them, placing your head on Eddie’s tummy. “I’m sorry I took my frustrations out on you guys. That wasn’t fair, to you both or to Dylan.”
You suddenly feel Eddie’s hand caress your hair as Steve reaches down to grab your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours.
“I forgive you.”
“Yeah, me to.” Steve brings your hand up, holding it against his chest.
“Can I ask you guys something?” They both mumble a hm. “Why the fuck are you both only in your underwear?”
Steve and Eddie howl with laughter causing you to laugh along with them.
“What did I tell you when you came in?” Eddie asks as he leans up on his elbows.
You think for a moment. “That you’ve been acting like I haven’t been here?” The boy nods his head. “I don’t get it.”
Steve inhales the joint in his fingers and places it in the ashtray before looking at you with those beautiful brown eyes. “You want us to show you?” He grins seductively when you say yes.
He crawls over you and you scoot out of his way to sit by Eddie’s head. Eddie pulls your lips to his, kissing you softly. He moans against your lips, grabbing your jaw with his hand, and turning you to see what the other boy was doing.
Steve had Eddie’s cock in his mouth, moving his head up and down his length. A sigh escaped your lips as you crawled closer to watch him. You gently ran your fingers through Steve hair causing him to groan.
“Fucking hell.” Eddie licked his lips as he watched you two with lust blown eyes.
“He tastes good, doesn’t he?” You whispered into his ear. “He really likes it when you swirl your tongue around him.” Steve did what you suggested and Eddie’s eyes rolled as his head fell back on the floor. You felt his fingers reach for you.
“Come here, Princess.” You maneuvered to him as he tugged at your sleep shorts. You pulled them and your panties down your legs, throwing them to the side. Eddie grabbed you moving you forward till you were seated on his face. You moaned as he wasted no time wrapping his mouth around your clit. Steve’s mouth came off of his friend with a pop as he continued pumping him with his hand, watching as you lift your shirt over your head and toss it away.
You lean your hands on Eddie’s chest for support as you ride his face. Steve meets you in the middle pulling you roughly by the back of the neck for a sloppy kiss. You can taste Eddie on his tongue and it makes your pussy clench. You whimper as you watch Steve pull away and spit on Eddie’s cock as he takes the boy into his mouth again. The sound of him gagging is enough to drive you over the edge. Your body shakes and your thighs try to squeeze shut as you cum on Eddie’s tongue. His hands fly up and hold your legs open as he helps you through your climax.
Both boys, as if reading each other’s minds, get up and switch places. Eddie’s mouth is replaced with Steve’s as his head slides between your legs. You feel Eddie’s hand on your back gently pushing you towards Steve’s dick and he growls into your cunt as your tongue licks the precum of his tip.
You gasp when you feel Eddie’s cock rub between your folds. Steve’s mouth wraps around your nub, sucking and flicking, as Eddie pushes into your entrance bottoming out almost immediately. He sets a brutal pace making it hard for you to not gag down on Steve as your pushed forward into him. The sound of Steve sucking and moaning drives you crazy and Eddie grunts as you clench around him.
“Oh my god.” Tears start to fall down your cheeks. “Please. Don’t stop. It feels so good.”
Eddie falls against your back reaching around to hold your tits as he thrusts into your deeper.
“There you go, Sweetheart. Show me how Steve likes it.”
You dig your nails into his thigh as Steve starts pumping his hips pushing him farther into your mouth. You feel him moan into your clit as you keep your head still as he fucks your face. His movements sputter as his cum hits the back of your throat. You swallow him and Eddie turns your face to kiss your lips. He pulls up right against his chest and grips your waist as he slams into your pussy. Steve’s hands cling to your thighs as he aggressively flicks his tongue against you.
You cry out as your feel the coil snap in your belly and you cum hard shouting their names repeatedly to the heavens. You start to collapse forward but Eddie holds your tightly to him as he thrusts roughly into you, grunting in your ear before he you feel his seed filling you up.
You fall to the side lifting your knee so you don’t hit Steve in the face. Eddie comes down with you, his arms still wrapped your stomach and chest.
Steve’s palm rubs your leg. “Fuck, that was fucking amazing.”
“I’ll say.”, Eddie pants.
“Baby, are you ok?” The sound of your sniffles causes them both to sit up at attention.
“I’m fine. That was just really good.” You laugh as you wipe your tears and they chuckle with you.
Steve gets up and heads for his bathroom, bringing back a towel as he cleans between your legs. You reach out and caress his cheek. “Will you guys stay with me tonight?”
They share a glance. “Sure. Um, what are we going to tell Dylan?”
“Nothing. He’ll think I had a sleep over like he did. Just um, clothes please.”
They rise to their feet bringing you up with them carefully. Steve disappears as Eddie helps you get dressed. When his roommate comes back, he is now wearing flannel pjs and a Hawkins high athletics shirt. He throws Eddie his shorts and a t-shirt.
Steve lifts you into his arms as he carries you across the threshold and back to your apartment. He places you on the bed and curls in behind you. Eddie tiptoes in closing the door behind him.
“Kids are still passed out.”
“Good. Hopefully they sleep in.”, you murmur.
Eddie climbs in on your other side and without hesitation you fling your arm over his tummy. He smiles at your closed eyes as he takes your hand in his and kisses the back of it. You three pass out, limbs tangled together, and happy as can be.

The Meaning of Justice
The Meaning of Justice: Nanohana (Alabasta part 1)
You’re a Marine who’s always been taught to trust the process. And you always have, until you meet a certain pirate who won’t stop pestering you to join his crew.
Loguetown < | > Alabasta pt 2 | All Chapters
Characters: female reader, Strawhat crew, Smoker, Tashigi, Portgas D. Ace, Vivi
Word count: 5.2k
Cw: Alabasta Spoilers, kind of Ace x reader a bit but it’s meant more as platonic
A/N: Alabasta became VERY long VERY fast, so I’m breaking this up into two or three parts. Part Two will be released next week. Also – this storyline will be going along with the anime, so Ace is with the Strawhats while they travel through the desert, rather than leaving them after destroying the Baroque ships. (I’m sorry you guys I just love Ace so much)
--
You didn’t meet Luffy again for three weeks. The Strawhats were quite good at evading the Navy when it came down to it. Once it became clear they were heading for Alabasta, your ship took a more direct route and managed to beat them to the island. Now, it was just a waiting game.
You spent your free time studying the wanted posters for Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro, as well as going over all the notes and reports of their known accomplices. The tangerine-haired firecracker Nami, the blonde cook Sanji, and the long-nosed liar Ussop were the individuals who made up the Strawhat Pirate Crew. If you ever got the chance to meet him again, you would shackle those sea prism stone cuffs around his wrist and send him straight to Impel Down to pay for his crimes of piracy, destruction of property, and several other offenses that seemed to grow by the day. Justice would be served.
Tashigi and Smoker had gone onto the island to do more reconnaissance with about half of the navy crew. Apparently there were rumors of an even larger bountied pirate on Alabasta, and Smoker had wanted to sniff out fact from fiction. You had stayed aboard the boat, having the men watch for any sign of other potential problems in the port or at sea.
A young man rushed in, startling you. He looked frantic and nervous, which made your skin tingle with alertness. “There’s a report in! Strawhat was seen leaving Nanohana on a ship heading west.”
You muttered out a few curses in frustration. That crew was so damn slippery. “Get ready to set sail. Let’s follow them.” You led him out, ready to give the command to the other members, when you realized that you could see the Strawhat ship sailing past you. It was cruising at an alarmingly quick speed, and you knew you would never catch it with a clunky old ship like this one. Whoever their navigator was must be exceptionally skilled.
“Change of plans,” you told the kid next to you. “I’m taking the Wind Viper solo to track them. Let Tashigi and Smoker know when they return. Have them follow my vivre card.”
You could hear the kid start to object, but you jumped over the side of the ship and landed on the single person boat before he could say much. You knew you were probably making a decision that would end in a demotion at best, but you refused to lose Monkey D. Luffy again. You had sailed solo boats like this since you could walk, and with some luck, you’d be nimble enough to catch them and follow them without them ever being any wiser. You quickly unknotted the Wind Viper, freeing it from the mothership, and grabbed the ropes to adjust the sails.
The wind was in your favor today, you could feel it in the tension on the ropes. The Strawhats capture was inevitable with this kind of luck. You would just have to hope that Smoker would be able to look past you abandoning your post once you were able to lead him directly to the Strawhats.
You managed to catch the wind perfectly and close the gap between you and the sloop the Strawhats were on. You remained a practical distance away from them, enough to watch the ship but not be noticed by its crew.
You had to keep reminding yourself that your goal was to follow and track them, so that your crew could capture them together. It would be highly unlikely any one person could capture all the Strawhats at once. Even Smoker would have difficulty with that. But if you could lead the fifty members aboard your ship to the Strawhats, you estimated your chances were closer to 95% success.
Suddenly a fleet of ships appeared on the ocean from behind a haze, blocking the Strawhats from advancing any further. Unsure if they were friend or foe, you pulled out your spare set of binoculars to look for identifying information.
You barely have time to make out the “BAROQUE” wording across the sails before a giant flame pierced and splintered the ships into pieces, crumbling into the sea.
Your heart sank and you instantly put slack on the ropes to the sail, letting your speed die down. You knew you needed to keep as much distance between yourself and the Strawhats without letting them get away. You knew of only one person who could make devastation that quick. The rumors of his presence in Alabasta were true. Whitebeard’s second division commander was here, and he seemed to be allied with the Strawhat pirates for some reason. Questions spun in your head as you tried to process the information you just received. Was Fire Fist recruiting them? How and why did the Strawhats already trust him enough to have him on board their ship and sail out to sea?
You were broken from your thoughts when the Strawhat ship turned into the mouth of a river and headed up stream. You waited a few moments, and then continued to follow them cautiously. By the time you found their ship, it appeared to be docked and, after a stealthy sweep, you realized it had been abandoned by the crew. You considered waiting by the ship for backup, but an empty ship wasn’t really something worth getting demoted over. You grabbed a few snacks and water from the kitchen area and jumped onto land to try and track the missing pirates.
Is it really stealing if you're stealing from pirates? You could feel the internal battle of taking food that doesn’t belong to you begin in your mind. They probably stole it anyway, so it’s fine. When you found them, you would ask. After they were in handcuffs, of course.
Amid your internal war, you almost failed to notice the kung-fu dugongs that were now charging at you, fists raised and ready to fight. They were squeaking at you, pointing between you and the ship, and a few of them had various items they were holding onto.
“No, no! Stop! It’s okay!” You were trying desperately to get the dugongs to stop threatening you, but they just kept shaking their fists and pointing between you and the ship.
“You know the Strawhats, right? Luffy?” His name seemed to calm them down slightly, but you could tell they were still angry. “Hey wait! Luffy, I know him! We’re friends!”
You hated to ally yourself with a pirate, even if it wasn’t true and the only witnesses were these animals. “We got separated a while back.” That wasn’t necessarily a lie. “I’m looking for him! Can you tell me which way he went?”
The dugongs exchanged glances and chattering noises, and then one member came out and pointed in the direction of the endless desert. Of course. Leave it to the Strawhats to take a daunting excursion through the desert for no reason. “Thank you! Thank you so much!” You gave him a spare rice ball you stole off Strawhat’s ship and started walking in the direction the creature pointed.
After only a few minutes of walking, you looked around and realized you had probably made a fatal mistake. You couldn’t see or hear any sign of life around you, and the wind had covered your tracks. The only thing you have to guide you is the sun, which is still beating down harshly on your uncovered skin. You didn’t exactly plan for a trip to the desert. You didn’t even have a hat to shade your eyes, just a short-sleeved shirt and flowing pants, paired with your closed toed shoes.
You resisted the urge to take a drink of water, knowing your resources were extremely limited. But you couldn’t turn back now. This would be an even greater failure than the boat. You recalculated the trajectory of the sun and the direction the dugong pointed you, and kept trekking forward, certain this was the only path you could take now. For better or worse.
After an hour or two, you noticed the first sign of life that you’ve seen since you left Nanohana. Buildings, now turned to rubble, lay strewn throughout the sand, and you found the first piece of shade that you’ve seen since you entered the desert. You laid down in it, curling up so no part of you was touched by the harsh sunlight. You’d stay here until Captain Smoker found you. Perhaps it was better to be dishonorably discharged than to be dead. You dozed off, exhausted from the walking, and decided you’d be content with either outcome at this point.
--
“I think she’s still alive!” The feminine voice was hushed and urgent, laced with concern.
“Chopper! There’s someone here! She needs help!” The second voice was louder, unbothered by the possibility of you waking up.
Your eyes flicked open, searching for Smoker’s signature look of disapproval. But he wasn’t there. “Smoker,” you started, assuming he must have been behind you. “I’m sorry about this-” You sat up abruptly, still searching, and your sudden movement caused the two girls close to you to scream out in fear. Their screams prompted other bodies to appear around you almost instantly.
“What is it, Nami?” The familiar voice sent ice through your veins, despite the heat in the air. “Did you find something good to eat?”
A small animal approached you holding a medical kit, and he reached out his hoof to you. He looked concerned, and when he spoke, you could tell it’s genuine. “It’s okay. You’re safe now. How are you feeling?”
You couldn’t bring yourself to respond. Your head was pounding from dehydration, and the world seemed to be tilted at the wrong angle. You couldn’t help but feel an equal amount of excitement and dread from the whole situation. You were surrounded by the Strawhats, all of them were right here with you. And yet, you had no way of letting your captain know he’d be walking straight into a trap when he finally found you.
You did a quick headcount. Nami, Sanji, Zoro, Ussop, Luffy. They were all here. Plus a blue-haired girl and the…was he a reindeer or a raccoon? Neither of them were in any reports you had read. Perhaps they were hostages, or new crew members.
“Hey wait…” You caught Luffy eying you curiously from afar, studying your face. “Don’t I know you?”
The girl named Nami spoke up before you could respond. “Luffy! How the hell would you know her? Vivi would be more likely to know this person, given that it's her kingdom!”
Vivi. You recognized that name. She was the princess of Alabasta who hasn’t been seen in a few years. And now that you looked at her, you could see the similarities from the photos of her as a child. The princess must’ve been held captive or formed an alliance with the Strawhats. Based on the group's demeanor, you’d guess the latter of the two.
“Nuh-uh. I know her” Luffy shook his head in stubbornness, addressing you now. “Hey, how do I know you?”
“Whoever she is, she’s gorgeous!!!” The blonde man’s eyes practically became hearts looking at you. “Is there anything I can get you, my dear?”
This definitely wasn’t how you imagined a crew of such notoriety to act. It almost pissed you off how carefree they were acting.
“Don’t help her.” A deep voice came from above you, and you could see a figure perched on some rubble. You hadn’t realized anyone else was in the vicinity. “I don’t know how you know her, Luffy. But she’s a marine.”
You felt a shiver down your spine. You had forgotten about the Baroque ships, forgotten about Fire Fist. You feel the tension in the air skyrocket, the various sounds of each member shifting into a fighting stance.
Luffy smacked his hands together and shook them in triumph. “Direction girl!” He proclaimed. He either hadn’t heard Whitebeard’s commander or was electing to ignore him. “You gave me directions to Gol Roger’s execution platform in Loguetown!”
Luffy jumped over to you without a care in the world, extending a hand to help you to your feet. “You know, if you wanted to join my crew, you could’ve just asked in Loguetown. You didn’t have to follow us all the way here!”
His complete obliviousness took you by surprise, and your mouth opened in shock. “Wha-”
Nami interjected before you could even finish the word. “YOU IDIOT!!!” She screamed, knocking him on the head. “She’s here to capture us! Not to join the crew!”
“Ouch, Nami! That hurt...” Luffy rubbed his head and looked down at you, scowling. “Are you sure you’re a marine? No offense, but you don’t exactly look like one.”
“She’s been following us since we left Nanohana.” Fire First jumped down behind you, and you could feel his warmth from a few feet away. The rest of the crew exchanged glances with each other, shocked by the information.
Nami was the first to recover from the news. “Nanohana? And you’re just now telling us this, Ace?”
So, the Strawhats were on a first-name basis with the fire user. You would have to put that in your report. If you made it out alive.
“Sorry,” Fire Fist shrugged. “I just really didn’t think she’d make it this far.”
Everyone stood where they were for a long while, nobody sure what to do. You couldn’t help but feel like they were all waiting for a decision to be made. A decision to let you live or to kill you. But nobody was making the final call.
“Well?” Luffy was looking at you expectantly, as if he were waiting for you to act.
You stared back at him. “Well, what?”
He had the audacity to look at you as if you were the stupid one. “Are you gonna try to capture us?”
You hesitated and looked around at the members you faced. Roronoa Zoro had his grip on one sword, ready to unsheathe it at any moment. Usopp was holding a loading slingshot, and you got the feeling he wouldn’t be missing. Nami and Vivi were keeping their distance, but were staring daggers into your soul. Sanji was lighting a cigarette, sitting on some rocks nearby. The small creature that helped you earlier was attempting to hide behind some rocks behind the cook. You could feel heat radiating from behind you, indicating that Fire Fist would blast you before you even got a chance to move. And Luffy, that idiot pirate was staring at you with his big, curious eyes.
“No.” You finally answered, and you hated yourself for being a coward, for not fighting until the bitter end like a true marine should. “No, I’m not going to capture you.”
A grin spread across Luffy’s face, his eyes lighting up. “So you did come to join my crew!”
“Also no!” You spat out the words at him, and you heard a few people chuckle. “I just want to get out of this damn desert!”
It was partially true, but if the Strawhats kept you around as a hostage, Smoker and the others would be able to find you. You’d just have to trust that Smoker could evaluate the situation and make the right decision when it came down to that.
Luffy laughed, and you found yourself smiling along with him. He had a laugh that was full of warmth and kindness, one that was contagious to those around him. You didn’t want to admit it, but you could see why someone like Luffy had amassed so many crewmembers in such a short amount of time.
“I wouldn’t trust her, Luffy.” The others had relaxed with their captain, but you could feel Fire Fist’s eyes on you from behind. “We should tie her up if she’s going to travel with us.”
“Nah, it’s fine Ace. If she said she’s not gonna capture us, then she’s not gonna capture us.” Luffy turned his attention away from you and towards Sanji. “Hey Sanji, when’s lunch?”
“Tch. You’re too trusting, Luffy.” But the heat from behind you receded, and Fire Fist passed you to regroup with the Strawhats. His Captain’s jolly roger displayed proudly on his back made your eyes widen at the site, but you said nothing.
Sanji blew out a puff of smoke before answering his captain. “Lunch isn’t for a while, we still have a lot of distance to cover.”
“Awwww,” Luffy moaned. “But I’m hungry now!”
You pulled out your small stash of rations, picking out a rice ball and holding it out for him. “You can have this, if you’d like.” Technically, it was the Strawhats food anyway. It’s not like you were losing out on much.
Everyone’s eyes widened in panic, but before anyone could object, Luffy was next to you.
“Wai-” Zoro reached out to his captain, knowing it was already too late.
You could see that his lips were around your arm, and you could feel the wetness of his tongue against your fingers, but it still took you a second to process exactly what was happening.
“DON’T EAT ME, YOU MORON!” You kicked him in the stomach, which caused the rubber man to cough, and you pulled your hand out of his mouth as he fell to the ground. You scrambled backwards and pressed yourself against a rock, desperately trying to get distance from the boy who just tried to eat you.
Ace and Zoro rushed toward Luffy, who was still recovering from being kicked in the stomach. “Hey Luffy, spit that out!” The two pirates fell to their knees next to the strawhat boy. “Spit it out!”
“No…way.” Luffy was on his hands and knees, still coughing from your blow. “It's all…mine.”
“It could be poisoned, you idiot!” Zoro slapped his captain’s back, trying to help him catch his breath.
“I wouldn’t be so dishonorable that I’d poison food.” You wiped the slobber off your hand and finally stood up. “I didn’t even kick you that hard, Strawhat. Don’t be dramatic.” Fire Fist and Zoro both shot you irritated glances, but they seemed to relax a little bit.
By the time you finished repacking your supplies, Luffy had finally recovered from your stomach kick. Luffy stood next to you again, eyeing your pack. “Those were really good! Do you have more?”
“Not for you.” He frowned at you and sulked away. You felt a twinge of guilt at the harshness of your words, but you quickly shoved it from your mind.
“If you’re going to be traveling together,” Nami said, looking at you unenthusiastically. “We should probably all know each other’s names.”
“Right! I’m Luffy! That’s Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Vivi, Chopper, and Ace!” Luffy pointed at each member of the circle as he introduced them, but you had already known everyone’s name except the raccoon.
“And I’m a reindeer!” Chopper shouted, as if he had heard your thoughts.
“Got it. Chopper the reindeer.” You see the small reindeer blush as you say that, and he ran to hide behind Zoro as you introduced yourself to the crew.
“We really should get moving.” The Princess’s words were laced with concern as she looked out to the horizon. "We're running out of time.”
Her words hold the weight of a country, and you can feel the heavy burden she’s carrying for just a moment, though you’re not sure why the weight is so heavy.
“Princess Vivi,” You began walking alongside her after a little while of walking. “If I may ask. What exactly is going on? Why have you allied yourself with the Strawhat Pirates and Fire Fist?”
Her words were full of bitterness as she replied. “Because they actually want to help me save this country, unlike the Navy!” The harshness of her tone startled you, but she regained her composure after a moment. “I’m sorry, I know it’s not your fault. It’s just…” she searched for the right words.
“It’s what I’m a part of.” You could feel the others listening in on the conversation, a mixture of caution and curiosity.
“What you’re a part of,” she echoed. Her eyes stared intensely at the ground below her as she searched for the words to say next. “The Navy has known about the issues in Alabasta for years, and they’ve never done anything to help its people. They claim it’s not their business to get involved in country affairs, but...” she paused, and you could hear her voice starting to become thick with tears and frustration. “It hasn’t rained here in three years. It’s not a natural phenomenon. Someone is sabotaging Alabasta! Someone is hurting my people! And the Navy won’t even lift a finger to help! The only reason they’re even here right now is because of Luffy and Ace!”
You knew you weren’t the one who made any of these calls. You knew that decisions like these came from far above you or Tashigi or even Smoker. Decisions like these come from people who have been in the Navy for far longer than you’ve been alive. Yet, you can’t help but feel shameful on its behalf. Because Vivi was right. The only reason you were in Alabasta in the first place was because you were tracking down Strawhat Luffy. You hadn’t even known that Aaabasta was on the verge of a war.
You had no words to give her, and you knew even if you did say anything, it wouldn’t sound genuine anyway. The silence was as thick as the desert air, and you could see Vivi wiping furiously at her face to dry her eyes. You decided the best thing to do was gather information instead of making empty promises. Your voice came out gentle, showing you were asking out of curiosity rather than hostility. “So what led you to join up with the Strawhats and Fire Fist?”
She was silent for a while, trying to regain her composure. You thought that she hadn’t heard you, or was too ashamed for her reasoning, and you left the question hanging in the air.
“Because they wanted to help me.”
It was such a powerful answer in such a few words. Her voice was so small, and you knew the princess trusted these pirates with her life. And the Strawhats trusted the princess too. You could feel the winds shift, seeing the Strawhats and their captain in a new light.
“Yeahhhhh!” Luffy raised his arms and shouted into the sky. “We’re gonna beat your ass, Crocodile!!!!”
“Crocodile? What does he have anything to do with Alabasta?” Confusion set in once again. You felt like every time this group answered a question, you had another three questions rise.  Crocodile was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, sanctioned by the World Government. Technically, you were supposed to assist, even protect, the warlords when it came down to it, but you never cared much for that system. It didn’t make much sense for the government to sanction some of the worst criminals on the sea just for the appearance of authority. A pirate is still a pirate, as Smoker always said.
You heard Fire Fist laugh dryly and mutter something indistinctly behind you. You couldn’t make out what he said, but you could tell from his tone that he’s criticizing you in some way.
Even Vivi looked disappointed that you had asked such a question. “He’s the one who’s behind all of this. The drought, the rebellion, Baroque Works. Everything that’s happening in Alabasta can be linked back to him.”
Her answer has once again brought more questions to your mind. But there’s one that comes to the forefront and quite literally stops you in your tracks. Vivi stopped too, looking back at you curiously.
Your voice came out pained when you spoke. “Why haven’t we helped you?”
Your question made her eyes well up with tears again, and she was about to answer when Fire Fist interjected. “Because the Navy doesn’t care about Alabasta.” He walked past you, unfazed by the whole thing. “Think about it. The Navy sanctioned Crocodile. If they stop him now, they’ll have to admit they were wrong making him a Warlord in the first place. You’d rather save face and let a country burn than admit you were wrong.”
You flinched when the hate in his voice switched from being directed at the Navy to you. You realized the words he spoke stung so badly because he’s right. Maybe not about you personally, but he had accurately described all the things that were famously flawed about the Navy as an overall system.
“Hang on, Ace,” Luffy scowled in confusion at the fire user. It was clear the captain’s brain was working overtime trying to process this entire conversation. “Don’t blame Y/N for this, she didn’t make any of those decisions.”
Fire Fist sighed and chucked at the naive young captain. “I suppose you’re right, Luffy. Still,” his eyes flicked back to you, his tone becoming serious again. “If you’re going to stand for something, you better know what you’re standing for.”
--
You sat alone, watching the Strawhats fight over Chopper’s warmth from a distance. The night air was chilled, and millions of stars shone in the sky. Vivi said you all had made good time, but you still had a long way to go. You weren’t sure how Vivi knew exactly where you were, but you trusted her and her navigation skills within the desert.
The cool air and sand brushed over your skin, sending a shiver up your body. You sat curled up into a ball, trying to retain any warmth you could. You weren’t sure how you were going to be able to sleep, or if it was wise to even attempt to do so, surrounded by a group of notorious pirates.
Fire Fist sat down next to you, breaking you away from your thoughts. He was still shirtless, his warmth radiating out from him. Whitebeard’s symbol displayed prominently on his back had shocked you at first, but you had grown used to the sight since this morning. “Must be nice to be warm like that all the time,” you muttered, jealous of his ability.
He laughed at your comment, watching the Strawhats engage in their shenanigans. “You know, I forget what it’s like to be cold. Or hot. Even in the Alabasta desert during the day, the heat isn’t intolerable. It’s just warm and bright.”
“Like you,” you teased, and he looked at you inquisitively. He grinned as he watched your face fall at the realization of what you had just said. You had meant it as a joke to his devil fruit power, and your face turned red when you realized how it could be interpreted.
“Well, if a lady of the Marines says so, then it must be true!”
“That’s not what I-”
“Too late to take it back now,” he retorted, puffing out his chest. “A Marine called me ‘warm and bright’! Pops is gonna love that.”
Your eyes widened. “You have no proof I said that!”
“Just my word.”
“A pirate’s word is-” You stopped mid-sentence when you caught his eye, his face beginning to fall with anticipation of how you would finish that sentence.
“A pirate’s word is what?” He goaded, suddenly defensive. His freckled smile was gone, replaced by a pained grimace. “Trash? Scum? Dishonorable?” He put more spite into every new word.
“Not as good as mine.” You corrected, and you saw his face flicker with surprise. It wasn’t the sentence you grew up saying, but you liked this new answer better.
Your response caused Ace to laugh. A good, hearty laugh, paired with a few slaps on his knee. You couldn’t help but smile while watching him. It reminded you of Luffy’s, contagious and full of complete genuine emotion. The others looked over, briefly pausing their fight over the reindeer before starting back up again.
Ace wiped tears away from his eyes once he calmed down.  “Your word is that good, huh? Better than any pirate?”
“Yep.”
Ace hummed in response. You could tell he was weighing a decision, but you didn’t press it any further. The two of you sat in silence for a long while, and you realized you were enjoying both his company and his warmth. You both watched the Strawhats all curl up and slowly fall asleep one by one.
“Since your word is so good, can I have it on something?” Ace’s voice was low and serious, and you knew he had finally made a decision on whatever he was thinking about earlier.
“That depends on what you’re asking me to do, Ace.” It’s the first time you had called him by his name rather than his title. You liked him more as Ace anyway.
Ace chuckled lightly, recognizing that your response was a valid one. “You see, Luffy’s my brother.” You stifled back a shocked gasp, trying not to react, but you could see a smile dance over his lips at your response. “I want you to protect him. Make sure he doesn’t die.”
You stared at him, unsure how to respond. Ace had just given you a treasure trove of information and had simultaneously asked you to do the very thing you vowed against.
“I know that’s a very non-marine thing to do,” he said, reading your mind. “But Luffy’s special. He’s going to be King of the Pirates.”
“I think that proves even more that I shouldn’t protect him.”
“Oh, right!” He smacked his forehead. “Ignore what I said then. Everyone wants to be King of the Pirates. Luffy isn’t special.”
You laughed at his back pedaling, and then sighed. “I’m sorry, Ace.” And you really were. You wanted to promise him and help make him feel more at ease. But it would be going against your direct principles. Against everything you knew and fought for. “I can’t give you my word on that. I’m a Marine, and I’m not abandoning my post to become Luffy’s lacky.”
“No, no, I’m not asking you to!” Ace quickly corrected. “You can still be a Marine! You seem like you might actually be one of the few good ones left.” The compliment made you blush, his words in such stark contrast to what he was saying earlier.
“Just, whenever your paths cross,” he continued. “Make sure he doesn’t do something so stupid that it gets him killed, if you can manage it. Please?”
There was a saying amongst the Navy women about the man sitting next to you. “Better watch out, Fire Fist Ace can melt hearts in more ways than one!” It was a joke, a silly warning they used whenever people went out on missions involving pirates, but now you were beginning to see the truth in the sentiment.
“I’ll…” You hesitated. You wanted to say yes, but for the sake of duty, the sake of justice, you couldn’t bring yourself to agree. “Can I think about it?”
Ace smiled at you and nodded once, satisfied with your response. He looked like he’s about to add something, but he changed his mind. “You should turn in for the night.” His eyes scanned the horizon. “I’ll keep watch for a while.”
You laughed at the thought of him keeping watch alone. “Ace, how am I supposed to trust you with my life when you fall asleep at completely random times?”
Those dark eyes flicked back to yours once again, and he tilted his hat back so you could see his face better. “Is that the only reason you don’t trust me, Miss Marine?”
You rolled your eyes and laid down without answering him. In truth, you actually did trust him to keep watch. If he had wanted to kill you, he certainly would’ve done it by now. Plus, with a heat source this close, you might actually manage to fall asleep in these conditions.
It was some of the best sleep you’ve had in a while.

CHAPTER TWO
Chapter Summary: You go out for drinks with your coworkers, with an ulterior motive to see your neighbor at the same time. Pairing: Bartolomeo x F!Reader Rating: Mature (18+ for the story, SFW chapter) TW: Creepy bar patron, attempted drugging, Barto committing a little violence in your name Ao3 Link: Chapter Two (4,566 words)
Two weeks passed without incident. In fact, your perfume even turned back up. It wasn’t where you normally kept it in the bathroom, but sitting on top of your dresser right in plain sight. Go figure. Bartolomeo hadn’t said anything about any suspicious activity around, either, so maybe you were just being a little extra spacey. After all, you were more accustomed to having a roommate or your parents around to help fill in the gaps, so maybe you just needed to be a bit more mindful while you adjusted to living alone.
(Nevermind that you had looked atop the dresser for that perfume, and it wasn’t there before.)
In that span of two weeks you were able to convince some of your coworkers to try a different bar. More specifically, The Sound Barrier, where Bartolomeo worked. Robin was intrigued by the prospect of somewhere new, and agreed. A fellow archives technician, Nami, also agreed, stating she was eager to con some free drinks out of a different sort of crowd than the usual haunts. You were unsuccessful in convincing Vivi, one of the conservators, but she talked another conservator, Drake, into going. Rebecca, an archives specialist, also declined, apologetic as she already had plans to see her aunt.
Of the usual pay-day drinks crew, three out of five (including yourself) wasn't bad, and the addition of Drake meant there would be an extra bit of robust support, given the unfamiliar territory. Plus, Bartolomeo would be there working, so you'd have more than enough people looking out for you that night.
Still, you couldn’t shake the ominous feeling looming over your head. With both you and Bartolomeo out, that left your apartment unprotected from another break-in, a thought that chilled you down to the bone. You considered asking the neighbors that lived below you if they could keep an eye out, but you weren’t entirely trusting that they wouldn’t already be occupied with their usual bickering. And given you were pretty sure the neighbor below Bartolomeo was a near-sighted old woman, that took her out from the running as well. You could ask the landlord, but he should have already been on the lookout for suspicious activity, so he wasn’t likely to have your best interest at heart, either.
You had to rely on blind luck that your apartment would be safe.
You shook your head, trying not to dwell on the thought for too long. It was supposed to be a fun night, you couldn’t let some hypothetical creep ruin it. With one more look in the mirror, you headed for the door, scooping up your purse on the way and double-checking for your wallet, phone, and keys. Just as you were triple-checking the door was locked, your phone pinged — Robin was outside with Drake and Nami already in the car. You cast one final look at your door, the ominous chill threatening to creep back up your spine, before you shoved the feeling back down and hustled to the elevator.
Everything would be fine. Damn it all, you had to believe that if you wanted to have any fun tonight.
The car that waited outside wasn’t Robin’s, but instead an unfamiliar silver SUV. The backseat window rolled down to reveal her sitting behind the driver, whose silhouette you eventually recognized to be Drake as you approached. Robin smiled and opened the door for you, ushering you in.
“Told you so,” Nami said from the front seat, grinning at Drake smugly.
“I’ll be damned,” he said as you buckled in. “I thought Nami was messing with me when she said you lived here. Didn’t expect it to be —”
“On the shitty side of town?” you interjected.
Drake nodded, pulling away from the curb.
“What’s the name of this place again?” Nami asked.
“The Sound Barrier,” you answered, fidgeting in your seat. “Thanks for taking me up on this one, by the way. I thought maybe we should try something new.”
Robin smiled knowingly. “You’re sure it doesn’t have anything to do with this mysterious neighbor of yours?”
“Uh... well,” you hesitated, scratching the back of your neck. “Maybe a little.”
“He better not say anything if he catches me getting free drinks from one of his regulars,” Nami said, pulling up the map on her phone.
“If he doesn’t, I will.” Drake said.
“What are you, a cop?”
You giggled despite yourself, feeling a little more relaxed. You didn’t know Drake particularly well, so it was a relief to know he was on the sterner side. Even with that reassurance, you must have still looked a bit uneasy, given that Robin leaned a bit closer to you and asked, “Everything all right?”
Her observation skills were both appreciated and unnerving at times, with very little getting past her. She seemed content enough to make it known she was aware something was up, but you didn’t want to worry anyone else with the break-ins, especially with the current lull in occurrences. However, you knew Robin would be suspicious all night if you didn’t say something.
You smiled, trying not to let the twist in your stomach show. “I’ll be fine. Just nervous — I’ve never seen Bartolomeo outside of the apartment building.”
She tilted her head. “You think he might be different in public?”
“It’s more... He’s never seen me outside the apartment, either. So it feels like this is a chance to know more about each other in a different way than we could from just the brief meetings.”
She laughed, putting a hand up in front of her mouth, though her smile was still clearly visible behind it. “Like seeing something in its natural habitat.”
You laughed, too, adding, “I guess I’m also hoping that I’ll live up to whatever expectations he might have in his head.”
“I think you will,” she said, dropping her hand to reveal her still smiling. “If it helps ease your nerves any, it’s likely he could be thinking the same thing of you.”
That did reassure you some, the tension in your shoulders dissipating. You nodded, and switched subjects, chatting with Robin and Nami, with the occasional input from Drake. The worries you’d had in your mind drifted far behind you as you finally felt like you’d be able to enjoy the night ahead.
Act like you always do, Bartolomeo told himself over and over again. Just gotta act natural.
“You gonna wipe down the same spot all night?” a voice called to him over the live band and bar chatter. He looked up to see his coworker and best friend, Gambia, leaning against the register and giving him a gap-toothed grin.
Bartolomeo rolled his eyes and pushed off the bar counter, draping the sanitation rag over his shoulder. “Wouldn’t have to if you did your job right.”
“Whatever you say, man,” Gambia said, pushing off from the register. “Definitely doesn’t have anything to do with that girl you keep talkin’ about, right?”
The lights were dim enough in the bar that Bartolomeo didn’t have to worry about his ears turning pink. “It might. Not like it’s any of your business.”
“It is if it’s bothering you. She break your heart or somethin’?”
“No!” he snapped a little too quickly, then reeled it back in. “She’s coming by tonight. I don’t wanna make a bad impression.”
Gambia snorted, “You? Bein’ worried about what someone thinks? Doesn’t sound like the Barto I know.”
Bartolomeo folded his arms and leaned against the back bar, averting his eyes. “Just what this one thinks.”
“All right, fair enough,” Gambia said and put his hands up defensively. “Just wish you’d said somethin’ sooner — maybe Gramma would’ve let us get out the good stuff.”
Bartolomeo cast a sideways glance to his friend and smirked. “Don’t go tellin’ everyone about it, yeah?”
“Yeah, yeah, you know me. Don’t let it distract you from doin’ what we’re paid to do.” Gambia nodded toward the door. “Speakin’ of which...”
Bartolomeo turned, feeling his heart skip. There you were, sticking out like a sore thumb in a place like this. You were joined by a dark-haired woman and a redhead, who were both equally gorgeous. Beautiful, even. Any other day he’d gladly let either one step on him. But you were perfect, and the only one he had eyes for. He then noticed that bringing up the rear of your group was a tall man with narrow glasses and a scar on his chin, and Bartolomeo felt something in the back of his mind begin to panic. What the hell was wrong with him? Was it that you hadn’t mentioned one of the drinking friends was a guy? It wasn’t like you couldn’t have guy friends, that’d be ridiculous. You were a grown adult, you could have whatever friends you wanted.
Still, he couldn’t shake the sudden flare up of jealousy that swelled in his chest. He refocused his attention to you. You were conversing with the dark-haired woman, who was slowly surveying the area. Her eyes found Bartolomeo, and an odd, almost shrewd smile graced her features before she leaned a bit closer to you, and immediately you whipped your head toward the bar with a wide grin. You waved as your group ushered you along toward a curved booth, and he waved back, unable to keep from mirroring the grin on your face.
“So that’s him, huh?” Nami said to you as Robin and Drake sat down. “You weren’t kidding when you said he’s kind of scary-looking.”
“I thought he’d be scarier,” Robin giggled. “He looks more like a big cat to me. Or a rooster.”
“More like an Oni,” Drake commented, adjusting his glasses. “Vivi and I finished work with a set of masks a few months ago. He reminds me of one of them.”
You turned pink, fidgeting. “He’s not so bad when you know him.”
“I’ll be the judge of that,” Nami said with a smirk. “And that judgment will be based on whether or not we get the first round free.”
While your group was settling in and figuring out drink orders, Bartolomeo was resisting the urge to jump over the counter to greet you. Any hope he had of appearing casual amidst his internal struggle was crushed when Gambia nudged him.
“That her?” he asked, as if he couldn’t already tell, a shit-eating grin on his face.
The limited lighting did nothing for the bright red that crept up Bartolomeo’s neck. “The one on the left, yeah.”
“Aw, she’s real cute,” Gambia said and nudged him again. “And you still haven’t asked her out yet?”
Bartolomeo turned even more red.
The blonde sucked his teeth, “Oooh, better do it quick. She looks the type to get snatched out from under ya.”
That statement made Bartolomeo’s stomach churn. He knew Gambia was just talking shit, but something deep inside him fumed at the thought of you with anyone else. He shook his head, pushing down the dark voice in the back of his mind once more. It’d be fine. Sooner or later, either he’d ask you out or you’d beat him to the punch — just not yet. It didn’t feel right yet.
You rushed over ahead of Nami, weaving between other patrons with laser-like focus as you found your way to an empty barstool and hopped up. As Bartolomeo side-stepped to stand opposite you, you grinned and stuck out your tongue. “Told you I’d get them here.”
He grinned back, making your heart skip a beat. “About friggin’ time. I was wondering when they’d give in.”
“You make it sound like I forced them,” you said, putting a hand over your chest in mock-offense. “I’ll have you know, I’m naturally persuasive.”
His grin turned lopsided. “So you’re telling me you didn’t bat those big pretty eyes and beg them to come?”
Your heart skipped another beat. He thinks my eyes are pretty?
Nami approached then, her arms wrapping around your shoulders as she leaned over you with a cheeky grin on her face. “Are you all done catching up? I’m dying for a screwdriver already.”
Bartolomeo’s gaze drifted to the redhead behind you, and you tried not to read too much into it, fully aware that Nami caught the eyes of everyone. Still, you couldn’t stop your chest from tightening. With a sheepish smile, you gestured to her and said, “Nami, Bartolomeo. Do not let her convince you to forget the tab.”
“Oh, you killjoy,” she whined, pouting. “Between you and Drake, how am I supposed to have any fun?”
“I can start you off with that screwdriver,” Bartolomeo said with a smirk, putting both hands on the bar and leaning forward, his arms holding him up like an A-Frame. “Anything else I can get for you pretty ladies?”
Again, your chest tightened. Right, he worked at a bar, it only made sense that he’d probably be turning up the charm as part of his job. His “pretty eyes” comment earlier probably didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.
Then his gaze met yours, and everything fell away. The dim lighting cast dark shadows over his features that made him look all the more intimidating, his amber eyes practically glowing. Between the broad shoulders, the eyes, and his fangs, for a moment you thought he might lunge forward and bite you, sinking sharp teeth into soft flesh with intent to consume you whole.
And then you thought about how maybe you wouldn't mind that.
It occurred to you that Nami had ordered the other two drinks, and Bartolomeo was waiting on yours. Snapping back into reality, you stuttered, “Whatever hard cider you have on tap.”
He smiled, further evoking the image of a hungry predator, and nodded. “You got it.”
Damn his smile. You probably should not have found that as hot as you did.
As the night progressed, you did your best to balance your attention between your coworkers and Bartolomeo. You felt a touch guilty that the scales weighed so heavily in the latter’s favor, as you really did enjoy chatting away with Robin and Nami as well as learning more about the normally reserved Drake. But you couldn’t help yourself from looking over at the bar to try and catch Bartolomeo’s eye, blushing every time he smiled at you. Eventually, Nami decided it was time to start charming some of the other patrons for free drinks, disappearing into a crowd gathered around the small stage at the back of the establishment.
“You think she’s going for the band?” you asked Robin, catching brief glimpses of red hair weaving and bobbing effortlessly amongst the horde of metal heads and punks.
“That’s likely her end goal,” Robin said, sipping at her Manhattan. “She’s probably scoping them out first.”
“And she does this every night you go out?” Drake asked.
You shook your head. “Not every time. Just when she knows she can get away with it.” Hopefully Bartolomeo doesn’t notice. On reflex, you found yourself once again looking over at the bar, smiling at him. This time he was busy with another customer, but you didn’t miss the way his mouth twitched into a wider smile when his eyes flicked over to yours.
“You can go sit at the bar if you really want to.”
Robin’s voice made you start, and you fidgeted with the napkin under your drink. “But — I’m out with you guys, not him. I don’t want to be rude...”
“You’re not being rude,” she said, nudging you lightly. “You wanted to see him tonight, you can go see him. I’m sure Drake and I can manage.”
Drake nodded. “Just don’t let him give you any trouble. We’re right here if he does.”
Your heart fluttered and you stood up, thanking them both and making your way back to the bar.
Bartolomeo nearly tripped on his way to your seat, shooting a glare at Gambia when he noticed and laughed. If you noticed, too, you didn’t show it, giving him that goddamn gorgeous smile of yours that made his heart race. After ordering another hard cider, he leaned atop the counter, his forearms supporting his weight as he bent at the waist. “So uh, you havin’ fun?”
Smooth. Real smooth.
You nodded as you took a drink, pointing to the band. “Nami’s out there doing her thing. Drake — the guy over there —” you gestured over your shoulder “— he’s never come out with us before. Robin got him talking about reptiles though and they didn’t stop for like twenty minutes.” You propped your chin up in your hands. “So I’m over here to bug you while they talk about fossils. I’m all yours.”
It took a not-inconsiderable amount of effort not to blurt out do you really mean that? However there was no hiding the waver in his voice when he said, “You can come bug me anytime, sweetheart. Dunno that I’ll have anything as interestin’ to talk about, though.”
Shit. Did he just call you “sweetheart” out loud? It just popped out, he couldn’t stop it. But he then saw your cheeks turn a very pretty shade of pink, and he latched onto the nickname, immediately forgetting his panic over using it. He wanted to see that blush more.
You tucked a stray hair behind your ear, switching to resting your cheek in one palm. “Honestly, even if I don’t understand at all what someone’s talking about, just listening to them gush about what they love is fun. Anything can be interesting if it’s talked about with a lot of passion like that.”
Bartolomeo grinned. “So, you’re telling me, if I talked your ear off about baseball, you’d just let me do it? No filter?”
“Pretty much,” you giggled, tracing a finger around the rim of your glass. “I’m surprised baseball’s your topic of choice though. You don’t strike me as the sporty type.” You paused, then giggled again. “Pun not intended.”
“Nah, not particularly. It’s just the first thing that came to mind,” he laughed, standing upright and reaching to his back pocket for his wallet. “I do have this really cool card though that someone left behind one night a few years back. Autographed and everything.”
He showed you the card, depicting a green-haired batter holding three bats — one in each hand, and one between his teeth. You had to admit, it looked cool as hell. “What if someone comes back looking for it?”
“Screw them, finders keepers. And like I said, it’s been a few years. I doubt they’ll come back for it at this point.”
You stifled a snort and took another drink. “So if not sports, what is something you’re really passionate about?”
As he was about to answer, his attention was drawn to the front door, a pair of customers coming in and taking seats at the opposite end of the bar. “Just a sec, sweetheart, I’ll be right back.”
He couldn’t resist dropping the nickname again. The flush in your cheeks was worth it.
Drake kept an eye on you from the booth, still chatting with Robin about this and that. Vivi had convinced him to go on this outing in her stead with the premise of giving him an opportunity to know his coworkers better, but he knew part of it was a concern for the venue. He’d been to plenty of bars in his life, including a fair share of metal and punk ones, and they’d all been about the same as far as rowdiness. Though, in his experience, the grittier places tended to have the better behaved clientele oddly enough, so while he felt Vivi’s concern was a bit misplaced, he didn’t want to offend her, knowing she cared a lot about the safety of her friends.
Admittedly, he’d been a little shocked to find that this neighbor of yours that Nami and Robin had been gossiping about was so rough-looking, considering in comparison you were on the smaller and softer side. But Drake was never one to judge anyone for their tastes, even if he subconsciously found himself a bit more wary than usual. No doubt the girls would both be reporting to Vivi that the rumors of Bartolomeo’s intimidating visage were true, and if they didn’t he certainly would.
It was at that moment, however, when you were left alone, that someone on the other end of the bar sidled up to the empty barstool on your right, a beer glass in hand. Greasy black hair, a thin, wiry mustache that made him look like a catfish, wearing a fedora and cheap dress pants. Drake caught the action in his periphery, watching carefully as the man tried to push for your attention. It was eventually given, and based on the way you cringed away from him, it was definitely not a comfortable exchange.
“Robin,” Drake said, his voice low as he nodded toward your seat. “We need to help her.”
Robin’s eyes narrowed, and with a sigh she stood. “How underhanded. He came up to her while Rooster was distracted.” She gave Drake an almost mischievous smile, putting a finger up to her lips. “I need to run to the ladies room anyway. I’ll go get her so we don’t cause a scene.”
He nodded, trying not to stare at the sway of Robin’s hips as she gracefully moved to the bar to collect you. You looked beyond relieved for the excuse to get away, throwing a quick wave over to Bartolomeo (who was still somewhat occupied with the new customers) as you slid off your barstool, the creep left alone to stew.
And then Drake’s stomach dropped, his nerves on high alert. You left your drink unattended.
Something that Bartolomeo didn’t miss, either. He was watching from his peripherals as well, the hair on the back of his neck standing on end when the creep had approached and started to harass you. He clenched and unclenched his hands, trying to pay attention to the drink orders while keeping an eye on the unsavory intruder. He had relaxed slightly when the dark haired woman came to collect you and you both went off to the restrooms, only to be put on edge again when he saw an all-too-familiar movement.
Something was slipped into your drink.
Oh. Hell no. Bartolomeo finished writing down the new drink orders and moved to the tap, giving the unaware sleazebag a death stare that would have made the grim reaper look away. Thankfully, he was distracted by another patron, and his seat was on the way to the tap.
Drake saw the slip as well, and stood to confront the miscreant. He only made it about two steps however, before he saw Bartolomeo pass, and slyly swap the glasses.
The two men made eye contact, with the sharp-toothed bartender giving Drake a knowing smirk before moving on.
The creep was none the wiser, turning back to “his” drink and taking a long pull.
As you returned to the bar with Robin, you stared at your glass, and your stomach churned. With a curled lip, you pushed it away, looking at Robin over your shoulder. “Let’s get out of here.”
Robin leaned over the counter and flagged down the other bartender. “Can we get the tab?”
After the bar had closed, a very, very inebriated man in a fedora and cheap dress pants was stumbling down the back alley. “Stupid stuck-up bitch and her stupid stuck-up friend,” he slurred, one of the few coherent things he had managed to say all night. “Stupid fuckin’. Bartenders and their. Fuckin’ rules.”
He tripped over his own feet and landed on the concrete with a pained shout, nearly biting his tongue. He just wanted to have fun tonight. He hadn’t had fun in a long time. He couldn’t even get a prostitute these days. Probably because all the ones in town knew him by name and knew he always stiffed them on the payment.
With a groan he rolled onto his back, trying to blink away the spots in his eyes. Why were the buildings all warped? Why did he feel like he was going to vomit up his whole stomach? What the hell was that shape looming over him with orange eyes?
“Man,” the shape above him said in a gravelly voice that sounded both too close and a thousand miles away, “you look fuckin’ pathetic.”
The creep writhed on the ground, further proving Bartolomeo’s point, and slurred back, “Nnno, yer prophetic...”
Bartolomeo cocked his head, sneering. All he could think of was how this pig, this scum of the earth, was allowed to keep living for so long. How many other bars had he hit up trying to pull what he nearly did to you? What would have happened if you’d encountered him elsewhere? Your friends looked out for you, sure, but what if you’d been alone?
Bartolomeo would have swapped the drinks even if it hadn’t had been you that was targeted. No one tries to drug someone in his bar and gets away with it. What he couldn’t do was convince himself that if it happened to anyone else, he’d be going as far as he currently was to make sure it never happened again. The creep tried to sit up, and Bartolomeo put one foot on his chest, tilting his head the other way. After another beat he lifted his foot, then slammed it down on one hand with a sickening crack.
This guy picked the wrong place, and he really picked the wrong time.
The creep let out an agonized yell, eyes wide and suddenly alert as he scrabbled at Bartolomeo’s boot. Bartolomeo crouched down, putting more weight on his foot and brandishing a switchblade, pointing it right between the man’s eyes.
“Now that I got your attention,” he drawled, “I’ll speak nice and slow for ya, so maybe it’ll stick in that roofied brain of yours.” He lazily held the blade between his thumb and middle finger, swaying it back and forth. “I ever catch you around here again, you’re gonna lose this hand.”
He put pressure on it for emphasis, drawing forth another pained yell amidst a symphony of crunching bones.
“I ever hear about you trying to dope up anyone else, I’ll take the other one.”
The creep was practically foaming at the mouth, unable to form coherent words between the blinding pain and the drugs in his system. Bartolomeo let the knife slide down, the tip landing right on the bridge of the man’s nose and making him go stock-still.
“If you ever. Ever. Mess with that girl again? With what’s mine?” He bared his fangs in a snarl, “The only drinks you’ll ever get are gonna be through an IV. Get me?”
The man nodded, whimpering feebly.
“Perfect. But, just to make sure you don’t forget...”
Bartolomeo lifted his foot, then slammed the switchblade into the man’s palm. The scream that echoed in the alley made it all the more worth it. He yanked the knife out and wiped the blood off on the man’s shirt before standing, casually nudging him to the side with his boots as he began the walk home. He found himself humming a random tune along the way, satisfaction welling in his chest.
After all, he promised to take care of anyone who dared to mess with you.

I WROTE MORE!!! YAYYYY
vivi and steren finally escape :> ready to start their lives over somewhere else~
and the brothel madam is uhhhh not gonna get out of this one.
vivienne belongs to @mulberrycafe (go read vivi's story pls)
--
The moments between imprisonment and freedom were tense and stressful, Steren’s hands trembling.
Vivienne had come in, as planned, killing Steren’s client after his own and carefully dressed Steren before covering the mark on his forehead with makeup. But they weren’t in the clear yet; it would be conspicuous to leave together when most people entered and exited the brothel alone, so they had to wait.
Vivienne left first, as per Steren’s insistence. He’d lied, convincing Vivienne the one to leave first was the most likely to be caught, and luckily Vivienne had believed him. In truth, Steren knew the last one out would be the most likely to be caught. Honestly, he had never missed recall and intervention more than he did right now, being too weak to cast a proper spell. Still though, he didn’t want to be caught; freedom was so close he could practically taste it, but Vivienne came first for now. Steren was strong enough to endure, Vivienne was someone soft and kind in spite of all the suffering he’d been subjected to for things he couldn’t control.
The collar around his neck had never felt more heavy as he waited, body and face mostly covered. He was counting down the seconds, before finally getting up from the parlor room to head out the door, after a few others filed out.
Sweat dripped down the back of his neck. It was risky--very, very risky. A thought tickled the back of his mind: what if Vivienne left him behind? He could have gotten too antsy, running to the docks without him.
Steren could hear the brothel madam yelling at the two of them to hurry up for their next clients, banging on the walls. Steren had just enough magicka to lock them before they hurried out, which would keep her distracted for a few minutes as she cursed and swore and looked for the keys on her keyring. He put all of his energy into walking correctly, not limping and hissing in pain.
Finally, in the alley they had planned to meet, he felt some of the anxiety melt off him as he nearly collapsed into Vivienne.
“I’ve got you…” Vivienne cooed. “C’mon, just a bit more. Can you do it?”
Steren nodded, his voice hoarse. “I can just… Let me lean on you a bit.” The brothel madam was still swearing and cursing, saying she would beat them black and blue when she got in there, as they went down alleyway after alleyway to the main strip.
“Excuse me--is this ship headed for Solstheim? Or Skyrim?” Vivienne asked a captain who was getting ready to set sail.
“Ah, we are heading for Skyrim, yes. If you stay on long enough we can also take you to the Illiac Bay--” The captain took a look at Steren who was sweating from exertion and anxiety. “Your friend here alright?”
“I drank too much.” Steren lied, before giving a lopsided grin. “But we’ve already missed the last ship heading out here and need to head to Skyrim for work.”
“Ah, I see.” the captain laughed heartily. Vivienne pulled out a bag of gold, plopping it in his hands. He looked at it, whistling, slightly, before ushering them both on board. “Don’t let the drunkard make a mess of my ship!” He hollered at them.
“I-I wont!” Vivienne reassured, before rushing them into their cabin after asking for a few directions.
“Oh gods--” Steren hissed, finally laid out on his hammock.
“I’m sorry,” Vivienne apologized, before Steren cupped his cheek.
“It’s not your fault, Vivi.” Steren smiled the best he could despite the pain. “It’s the damn poison--” He groaned again. The poison plus the injuries inflicted on him from customers had really done him in tonight, but if they didn’t flee immediately he was nervous one of those councilors was actually going to kill him. If it wasn’t for the collar being in the way, they would have strangled him a lot time ago, though they nearly suffocated him on other things as well.
There was a knock at their cabin door and the two of them tensed up. After a moment, Vivienne hesitantly spoke. “C-come in.”
One of the crewmates came in with a potion bottle in hand.
“Give this to your drunk friend,” He said, lingering in the doorway but not looking at them with suspicion in the slightest. “We’ll be setting sail any minute. It’s a healing potion which should hold him over.” The crewmate then pointed to the corner. “And if he does hurl, have him do it in a bucket at least. Your job to clean it.”
“T-Thank you.” Both of them were relieved as he left. It looked like no one knew they were here yet, and soon they would be out of Morrowind for good.
“Here,” Vivienne pressed the potion to his lips, letting Steren drink. It was such a relief as it immediately hit his sore throat, some of the pain quickly fading.
“Ah, Azu--” He cut himself off. Normally he would say ‘Azura’s mercy’, but the Lady of Twilight had no mercy for him anymore. She was the one who subjected Steren to this treatment, after all. “Thank you.” He said instead, smiling. “It’s a start… Once I finally get the damn poison out of my system and rest, I’m sure I’ll be better in no time.”
The ship began moving, the anchor raised and sails down as the rocking few more intense as they moved out of the bay. Vivienne caught himself on the wall, before Steren moved slightly.
“Will you keep me company?” He asked, hoping Vivienne would say yes. If not, he would be happy just knowing they were free, even as Vivienne explored the ship. But, much to his delight, Vivienne quickly climbed into the hammock beside him, letting Steren wrap an arm around him.
“We’re free…” Vivienne whispered as the two rocked gently from the waves. Steren smiled again, nuzzling into his hair.
“We’re free.” Steren whispered back, security in his voice. “We never have to go back there ever again.”
As much as this was punishment by Azura, Steren was happy he just wasn’t alone. There was much to be thankful for, after all, in spite of all he suffered. His parents were, at least in this world, alive and happy and in love, clueless to his suffering. Steren wouldn’t know how he would live with himself knowing his father’s ghost was watching him go through that in the brothel, after all. Instead he was probably curled up comfortably in bed with his Ata, sleeping peacefully and happily.
And if she hadn’t sent him here, he would have never met Vivienne. Sweet, sweet Vivienne who took care of him for nothing in return, when he was already suffering. Who helped get him out of that hellhole, and smiled so warmly against his skin…
Before he knew it, his eyes slowly drifted shut, the pain finally fading from his senses for the first time in a long while.
--
Nelevi was not have a good day.
Her two best whores vanished in the night and the useless guards couldn’t find them. Absolutely infuriating on its own, but to top it off they had customers who were waiting and demanded their money back when she told them they were currently unavailable, glaring daggers at her and threatening not to come back. They had to be somewhere in the city though--it was likely Steren’s idea they run away, but because of the steady diet of poison that kept his injuries from healing and how rough his clients were, she doubted they would get far. The city was large after all; no doubt they were hiding out in some rat infested skooma den in hopes of not being discovered. Despite how much money it was losing her though, that she could deal with.
But what sent this over the edge was the Hortator showing up in broad daylight, a deadly glare in his eyes as he presented her with a ring and sword.
“Where did you get these?” The look in his eyes was bloodthirsty, and Nelevi made a note of the fact he still had Trueflame on his belt, even with a second copy in his hands.
No doubt he thought Steren was some strange imposter and had a bone to pick with him. If she had Steren she would have brought him before the hortator immediately, let him cut off his head for the blasphemy and insult that was trying to impersonate their king, and claim a reward. However, she might be able to use this to her advantage; if she said she thought he was in the city somewhere, the ordinators might be able to flush him out for her. She’d have to give up the money Steren brought in, but she could get Vivienne back at least.
“I don’t know who left them here but,” She began, spinning a few lies. “It was a customer who was here, very fond of one of my boys that I had here--pretty little thing, my poor Vivienne.” She sighed, looking distraught. “He left them here and ran without even paying the bill, and then last night Vivi was missing.” She tried to look pitiful and worried. “I don’t think they got too far, especially if he is forcing Vivienne to go with him. They’re probably still in the city, but I’ve been doing everything I could to look for the--”
“An interesting story.” Voryn Dagoth came in next, the hair on the back of her neck standing as she noticed blood on him. “The others here tell a different story.”
“What did you find?” Nerevar asked, putting the ring back on his own hand and tucking the sword away.
Voryn however, kept staring her down, rage in his eyes as he walked towards her. “You kept him here, didn’t you?”
“I-I…”
“You put a slave collar on my son and forced him to work as whore for any and every dunmer who was willing to pay to slap him around and call him by my name.”
“What?!” Nerevar’s voice rose, before he turned back at her, teeth bared.
Voryn grabbed her by the hair now, forcing her onto her knees as all the blood in her ran cold.
“Now I’ll ask you again,” Voryn had a dagger, sharp enough to draw blood just touching her skin, her whole body now trembling. “Where do you think our son is?”
“I-I don’t know!” She shouted, hoping the truth would at least spare her life. “H-he vanished last night and took that other whore with him!” She couldn’t breathe and didn’t dare look up at him. She knew she would throw up seeing his third eye glowing unnaturally down at her. “I-I had no idea Lord Dagoth, believe me, if I had known--” How could she knew Steren was their son? The Horator and Lord Dagoth couldn’t have children as far as she was concerned, and she thought the fact he looked like Voryn was a coincidence she could use to her advantage. “I-I was just following the way of the Three, you know that Lord Dagoth--”
“Stop,” Nerevar pulled Voryn’s hand and the blade away from her throat, making her shiver and gulp down air in relief.
Yes! Yes she said the right thing--of course the Hortator would acknowledge that! He was head of the new temple after all, and even if he kept the sharmat at his side for some ungodly reason, he would acknowledge that she was simply being a devout believer--
“If she wants to acknowledge the Three,” Nerevar looked down at her, his eyes devoid of light, absolutely cold, “Then so be it.” With a motion of his hands, ordinators grabbed her, beginning to tie her arms. She was in took much shock to move, let alone protest, staring in confusion. “Take her to Mournhold and lock her up.” Another shiver ran down her spine. “I’ll show her Boethiah’s wrath.”
“W-wait!” Nelevi protested now, struggling. “I was just--”
“Taking as you want, as the Three teach.” Voryn finished for her. “Yet you forgot the most important lesson--” He put his blade away, standing at Nerevar’s side. “You tried to take what belonged to someone else, yet you don’t have the power to defend that decision.” His eyes were also cold, his hand tight on the Hortator’s shoulder. “You picked the wrong target. The Three have no pity for someone with half baked ideas of their faith.”
“P-Please--!” She begged, being dragged out. “Please, I had no idea! Have mercy--”
The ordinators slammed the door, as Nerevar went to the book of customers.
“We need to round up everyone who came here,” Nerevar said, his voice and hands still trembling in rage. “Everyone who hurt Steren. Every single one.”
“We will.” Voryn nodded. “And we’ll get our little star back.”
Nerevar shoulders then shook, a few angry tears falling.
“It’s alright,” Voryn whispered. “We will find him.”
“I failed to protect him again!” Nerevar beat his fist on the table. “Azura brought him here--brought him to Morrowind and I--” He had been looking since he got word, even more hurriedly once he got his memories of that world as well.
His little star was suffering here, likely with no clue that his parents were even looking for him. And then, just as they finally caught up to him, he slipped out of their fingers again.
“You know he’s strong,” Voryn whispered, his own voice trembling. “Wherever he is, he’s safe now with his friend.” Voryn explained. “The others said the two of them were close. I’m sure we’ll find him in no time, and bring him back safe and sound.”
Nerevar wrapped his arms around Voryn tightly, still shaking, sobbing in rage and heartbreak.  “And we’ll make every person who hurt him pay.” Voryn whispered, stroking his hair as he glared at the book, already spying a few familiar names of councilmen.

“Dude, she’s just not into you”
A soft voice startles Sanji, yanking him out of his thoughts, and he looks around to see Ace settling on the sand beside him.
“I’d note that it is not yet confirmed nor denied, please and thank you” - the cook retorts, hissing when the heat from a bud reaches his lips. “Yeah, sure, - Ace scoffs, leaning back on a rock. - Look at ‘em and tell me you see two friends, I dare you”
Sanji’s sight is back on Vivi and Nami, nuzzling against each other in search of warmth under a blooming desert sunset . Their whispers are a little too far to make out the words, but the soft gazes the two share speak volumes, leaving only a total fool unsuspecting.
“Bet if you weren’t staring so hard these two would already be making out. - Luffy’s brother is getting a tad hard to ignore. - You lucky you look too love-struck to come off as a cree-”
“Oi shut it! - Sanji hisses, rolling another cigarette. - Does the D stand for dick?”
“Oh absolutely. - Ace grins. - I’m wanted for a reason, kitchen boy”
Sanji fears his eyes could roll out of skull. It would have its perks though, not seeing this smug face serving as a relief. “What do you even care? Is it your family motto to be insufferable?”
The Fire fist choses to stay silent for once, instead reaching his hand for the cigarette and pulling it out of Sanji’s mouth, no please and thank you’s. Sanji’s about to smack him only to halt his movements when he sees Ace puckering his lips to blow a line of smoke rings. “How.. Could you teach me?”
Ace lets out a few more rings and turns to face Sanji, holding a cigarette to his mouth. “Take a drag. - he nods, noticing Sanji’s hesitation.. - Don’t go shy on me now”
The cook reluctantly wraps his mouth around the filter, lips just slightly touching Ace’s fingers, and takes his usual drag, looking up expectantly. “Now roll your tongue into O. - the brunette pokes his own out, showing the goal shape. - Blow a little and push the tongue forward”
Sanji follows, but it ends up a usual exhale, making him cough out the rest of the smoke. “Sh-KHH-shit, it’s not working!”
“Just practice it more, man, that’s how I was taught”
The cook hums and fails again, hissing out the smoke. “Didn’t peg you as a smoker, actually” - brow quirked up, he wonders.
“I’m not. Well, usually. - Ace’s lazy eyes focused on Sanji’s mouth, pointy tongue flicking his bottom lip for moisture. - It’s more of a pick up tool, you know?”
Sanji’s eyes blow wide, a silent question met with Ace’s laughter. “It works!”
“Yeah, right. That’s why you keep showing off in front of Nami-chwan?”
“Oh, nah. - Ace’s face softens, hazy sight now cat-like. - I know better than to stand between a lady and her princess”. His eyes trained on Sanji, he snatches the cigarette out of his mouth again, only this time no revolts follow. “Besides, yours truly prefers blondes”.
Sanji feels a slight shiver running down his spine. The desert is still warm, welcoming even, the scorching sun giving way to a comfortable breeze. He finally notices how the sand sticks to his palm, and how his spine aches against the stone. He hears the same sand swishing, moving around to trick them all tomorrow into a new landscape.
“Anyway, time to hit the hay. Oh-, - Ace laughs childishly, getting up and brushing off the sand off his legs. - Report to me when you succeed”.
A tiny wink and he’s off to settle a little away from the fire, covering his face with the hat. Sanji just sits there though, palms still sweating against the dust, face a little flush.
What…
What the hell was that?
Did Luffy’s brother just flirt with him?
Did Portgas D. goddamn Ace just flirt with a guy?
Next day Ace is back to Luffy and his little antics, disguising his care with playfulness. They laugh, running around like there isn’t a water and food shortage on their trip. Everyone else is back on track, slowly dragging their feet through sand.
“You look worse than usual” - Sanji looks aside to see Marimo’s eyes trained on the road ahead, little exasperated breaths coming from Chopper behind him.
“Look who’s talking, snot hair”.
“You lucky I can’t let go of Chopper”.
“Yeah right. - Sanji stretches. - What did you want anyway?”
Zoro sighs, swords clanging rhythmically against his hip. “Dunno. Nevermind”
It’s the heat, probably. Yeah, most certainly. That’s why everything is a little off. That’s why Nami and Vivi are all lovey-dovey on that pervy camel. That’s why Zoro is suddenly initiating a talk with him.
That’s why White Beard’s kin hit on him under the most beautiful sunset Sanji’s ever seen.
It’s just the heat.
“Guys, midday’s near! - Vivi’s concern having everyone perk their ears. - We’re crashing in that cave for a few hours, don’t get lost!”.
All the eyes are trained on a little cavity in the distance, almost arousing with promises of coolness and shade. The desert is once more cut with a cry, this time Luffy’s happy one, the goofy captain taking off immediately to save himself the best spot.
“Daaaaamn! - Usopp’s musing echoing through walls. - So big!”.
Sanji leans back against a cold wall and pours his body to the floor, long limbs stretched out star-like. He can hear relaxed gasps and strained groans as everyone else finds themselves a spot, fried up bodies bathing in fresh air. Three minutes in and half the crew is already snoring away.
Sanji props up, the lighter clicks echoing through the cave. He barely had a chance to practice the new trick, and given how annoying D brothers are, Ace will be sure to ask about his success.
One try, two tries, three tries, hell… It takes about five rollups to master one flimsy ring. Sanji sighs, both annoyed and a little proud, starting to roll another one.
“I see my guidance bearing fruit” - fuck, can Ace NOT startle him every single time?
“Ye-yeah. - the cook glances up, meeting an expected smug grin. - Practice makes perfect though”.
Ace plops down next to him, a whiff of musk splitting the tobacco smell. “Don’t go too hard on yourself, you only have two lungs”.
“And exactly zero girls, man. - Sanji’s lighting up his recent doing. - Gotta balance it out”.
A soft airy laugh, much like yesterday's one. The cook registers a slight commotion, bringing his eyes up only to come face to face with the brunette. “Care to make me one too?”.
Sanji shrugs, the kit tin out again. “Thought you said it’s just a pick up tool”.
“It is”.
Oh fuck this guy.
Not like “oh yeah, imma fuck this guy”.
Sanji’s not gay.
Sanji’s as straight as a mast.
Well, not Mary’s mast, but a regular mast, a normal mast.
A straight mast.
Just like Sanji.
FUCK this guy. What the fuck is he thinking?
Sanji starts to reconsider his earlier judgment of the D family. At least Luffy’s not speaking in riddles. Not by choice, of course, but still.
“What are you saying?” - yeah, a straight question for a straight guy. About right.
Ace chuckles, lidded eyes sparkling in darkness. “What does it sound like?”
“Dude, I’m not gay. - Sanji’s patience is flat-lining. - Thought it was obvious”
“Me neither” - Ace gives up on waiting for his own rollup, stealing Sanji’s.
“Then what are you saying?”
A hum for an answer again. “Don’t have to be gay to chase a cutie. - blowing smoke into Sanji’s face, Ace grins, the sparks in his eyes interchanged for little flames. - Cuties come in all shapes, you know?”
Sanji’s fuming. Not literally, sadly, his cigarette still snug between Ace’s brownish lips, but visibly. “So you are hitting on me?”
“Have been for the past week. - the brunette blows a ring, this time aiming for the ceiling. - What, you’re telling me you’ve never… y’know… with a dude?”
“NO!” - Sanji’s shriek comes off a little louder and he sinks into the stone, glancing around.
“They’re all asleep. Temperature difference does that to peo-”
“I know what.it.does!!!” - Sanji’s hissing, snatching the bud from Ace and taking the longest drag of his life. His usual, straight, exhale winding up to the Ace’s cloud, he trains his eyes on the guy, suddenly noticing his heightened heart-beat and a weird knot tightening in his stomach. “I’ve just told you, I’m into girls”
“Yeah, I know. - Ace is somehow unphased by everything, his nonchalance bringing the cook to a boiling point. - Doesn’t mean you’re not into boys either”
The climax is ruined, anger giving way to confusion. “What you mean?”
“Both, man. You might like both”
“You like both?”
“Oh yes. - Ace smiles again, a whispered suppressed chuckle somehow soothing. - I don’t discriminate”
“That’s not how discrimination wor-... How did you understand that?” - Sanji feels his cheeks flushing, thankful for the convenient darkness.
Ace tilts his head to the side, eyes unfocused, long bony fingers toying with cold sand. “I ran a test with one guy”. He continues, noticing Sanji’s confusion. “He kissed me and I liked it”.
“And then you two… y’know?”
“Oh, haha, no! - brunette’s loose curls jiggle as he shakes his head. - No, we were like thirteen, I guess. It was back home” He glides his hands up and down his thighs, eyes unfocused. “Went fishing at night and cooked it on a bonfire”
“You kissed after eating fish?” - Sanji’s snicker rolling off his tongue with all the tension.
“Hey, it was sweet! Not the fish, the other thing, I mean. But, yeah. - Ace’s sight falls to Sanji’s lips and he licks his own, pink tongue poking out for just a second. - He turned out straight though, so we just went swimming after”
“Could have been a nice date” - the cook muses, finally back to rolling Ace his own cigarette.
The silence is comfortable now, and Sanji’s thankful for Ace coming up to him, watching the sleepy crew nuzzling deeper into their covers in search of warmth. “Hey, um-..., - he clears his throat, failing to shake off the tremble in his hands. - You think… you think you could test me? I mean, I’m sure it will lead to nothing, like me coming out straight and all, but like… I just wanna make sure, y’know?”
Ace hums, cigarette bud pressed tight between his fingers. He turns his whole body to face Sanji, eyes trained on the cook’s, the warm hand brushing the smoking kit out of shivering hands. “Close your eyes”
Sanji’s own blow wide, and Ace smiles softly. “It’s easier like that. Go on”
The cook lets out a sharp exhale and obliges, long lashes fluttering close. He feels calloused fingers tilting his head up slowly, feels a smoke-stained breath against his cheek. His heart is thumping inside his head, the sound threatening to wake everyone up any second. “Open your mouth a bit” - a thumb brushing over his lower lip, and Sanji obeys once again. “Good boy”.
And another mouth, a warmer one, presses against his own, wet tongue just slightly poking through his lips. Ace’s hand is in his hair now, buried into the soft locks. It’s soft, surprisingly soft, and not that wet, probably because they’ve been low on water for a few days.
Ace is gentle, polite almost with how slowly he’s going at it, pulling Sanji closer so it feels natural. His mind goes blank, all thoughts and concerns flicked away with that tender tongue and those kind chapped lips. There’s no teeth, no vigor or intensity, just exploration. He feels like he’s the receiver for once in this whole affection game, and Sanji melts a little, hands finding purchase in Ace’s salty curls.
He leans closer, switching the position slowly to not break the kiss. A tiniest moan escapes his chest when Ace pushes his tongue a little deeper, his warm hand sliding to Sanji’s heated cheek.
“W-wow. - Sanji whispers, lips a bit swollen and glistening in the dark. - H-hell”
Ace’s hand is still on his cheek, rubbing small circles into the soft flesh. He’s watching Sanji, fully focused on the cook’s ragged breath. “We still have time. - he cards a stray strand behind Sanji’s ear. - Don’t have to wake them all up just yet”
“Ye-yeah. - Sanji’s sight is on Ace’s lips, he’s scooting a little closer, mouth still agape. - Yeah, they should rest a bit more”
Listening to the tiny wet echoes, Usopp shifts in his place, careful not to make a sound. “Knew I should have gone for a piss sooner”.

๑ keep safe : new crewmate, tony tony chopper (11)
Tumblr media
one piece x male reader
you lost your way, just take my hand
you're lost at sea,
then i'll command your boat to me again
『 prev 』
now, [name] would never call himself a heavy sleeper. in fact, he used to wake up to every sound that was around him when he was a child. but that was also due to the fact he had to be kept on his toes almost 24/7 when he was a kid.
dangerous environment and all.
so, he was really shocked to learn about all that had happened while he was resting. it was probably due to the exhaustion he was facing, especially the physical aspect of that, but still! he slept through cannons being fired, a major fight going down, and a bunch of shouts of determination.
it was a wonder how he slept through it all. and it seemed also a key event for some mockery from everyone’s favorite chef.
“what a lazy ass!” sanji said, grinning at the look on [name]’s face.
“i’m not the one who has to crawl everywhere, shut it, shitty cook!”
“shitty cook!? alright, if that’s what you really think, i’ll just feed you rat shit when we get back to the going merry!”
“oh, you think you can make that trip that easily?! considering you’d have to crawl there like a spineless vermin!”
“i’ll really kill you!” sanji shouted, but [name] only walked past him, sauntering in his steps to emphasize the fact he could walk freely while sanji was restricted in his movements.
after his back bone had given out on him, sanji was bound to crawling on the floor everywhere. and [name] took every opportunity he could get in making fun of sanji’s carelessness. like how sanji was making fun of [name] for sleeping through an entire battle right outside his window.
when he stepped out into the courtyard of the castle, it was nighttime. he had the blanket tightly wrapped around his person and looked around, trying to find anyone in the crew. but, his search was cut short when he heard luffy’s yelling.
“hey, reindeer!!! come be pirates with us!!!”
[name] smiled at the invitation, walking through the big doors and seeing luffy, usopp, and zoro all gathered in front of the castle.
“you’re so loud, luffy,” he yawned, chuckling when he saw his breath turn into puffs of white.
“woah, are you really supposed to be walking around, [name]? doctor said your injuries were pretty severe,” usopp said, looking at [name] as he stepped out in only a blanket and pants, “plus you’re really underdressed, what the hell?!”
“well, aren’t we leaving soon anyway? i got everything i need here, so let’s get to merry - where it’s nice and warm,” [name] opened up the blanket to show that he had his essentials, which really was just his sword, and grinned at them.
“doesn’t explain why you’re naked,” zoro said unimpressed.
“zoro, y’know, i missed you!” [name] cheerfully exclaimed, a complete contrast to the swordsman's disgruntled demeanor.
the swordsman made an obvious sound of disgust at the confession, sticking his tongue out as if he was about to barf, “fuck, i think i’m gonna vomit everywhere,”
“hey!!!” [name] scolded, not appreciating that negative reaction to his confession. zoro simply held up his hand though and covered his mouth, really selling the part that he was going to vomit. or, maybe he really was going to — he didn’t seem the type to be good with sentiments.
“that’s pushing it a bit, don’t you think, seaweed?!” [name] said, turning angry. he began to chase after zoro, who threw a snowball right at his face to stop him, shouting about how he didn’t want [name] near him.
as the two were chasing after each other, usopp went back to building his snowman.
“come on, zoro, admit it you missed me too!”
“i don’t even fucking know you!!!”
they were so focused on cursing each other out, they didn’t notice that both of them had rammed into usopp’s snowman. the sniper got involved by nailing them each in the forehead with a snowball, getting revenge.
as the two then began chasing usopp, vivi and nami came out of the castle as well. but behind them was a immobile sanji, who they had to drag by his feet in order to get him places.
“hey! reindeer!” luffy said in surprise, a grin still on his face.
“tony-kun?” a genuine look of surprise was on nami’s face. she didn’t think chopper was really going to join them.
[name] stopped running after usopp, looking at the still reindeer in anticipation.
“it’s not possible!” chopper said, turning down the offer with his head held down, “i’m a reindeer, i have antlers and hooves! i even have a blue nose! it’s true that i wanna be a pirate, but i’m not even a human! i’m a monster! i can’t become your friends, so i just came to say…thank you…i do appreciate you guys and thank you for inviting me.”
[name] bit his lip to hold back his laughter, finding the sight of chopper both amusing and greatly depressing. the way chopper was so obviously fighting against his own desires, wanting to sail out to sea, just so he could appease the expectations that were set for him on the island. to see such obvious repression of freedom made [name] almost laugh at how chopper's world was going to be flipped upside down. luffy would never take no for an answer.
the zero self assurance chopper had in himself made [name] sad. chopper was special and he might have been a monster, but the reindeer failed to see the beauty in both of those things. now, [name] didn’t get the chance to see chopper fight anyone, as he was passed out completely, but he was sure it was impressive.
“so one day…if you feel like it, stop by agai-”
“shut up! let’s go!” luffy shouted, spreading his arms out into the air and stretching so far back that his hat had fallen off of his head. [name] chuckled, along with many others in the crew, before looking back at chopper’s now teary eyed form.
finally, chopper stopped fighting his hopes and nodded his head. an unhealthy amount of tears streamed down his face as well as snot, but [name] could only think of how heartwarming the sight was.
so as chopper ran back inside the castle, the rest of the strawhat crew awaited his return. [name] picked up luffy’s straw hat and secured it on their captain’s head, “nice job, captain,” he said, making luffy smile and laugh.
deciding to prepare their ascent down the castle, usopp and him worked on getting the ropeway ready.
“i feel like you definitely shouldn’t be doing any heavy work,” usopp grumbled, showing [name] how to get everything set up, “i mean your hand! aren’t there still stiches in there?”
[name] shrugged, “something as small as that isn’t gonna make me stop from helping,”
“something as small as that?! i get it, you’re insane just like those three,” usopp said, dejected at the thought of someone so strong also being on their crew, “i mean, your bounty isn’t a joke, but really? a stab to the hand isn’t a big deal to you?”
[name] laughed, a very hearty one as he slapped usopp on the back, “it’s never a big deal if it’s for the safety of your friends. you’d do the same thing, wouldn’t you?”
[name] tugged and pulled on the rope, looking up when he realized usopp had stopped working for a moment.
“i don’t know, stuff like that seems out of the question for me…i mean!! i am a brave warrior of the sea, so doing little stuff like that — pft! i don’t even-”
“usopp, you are a brave warrior of sea, why are you mocking yourself?” [name] said, tilting his head ot the side in confusion.
“i wasn’t mocking myself!” usopp said, trying to sound confident as he felt [name]’s e/c eyes boring into him, “i was confident,”
“whatever, usopp, you’ll see in the future. i’m sure you’re even more capable than me,”
“well, obviously the great captain usopp exceeds all standards!” usopp said once more in that loud voice of his, the one he used whenever he was telling lies.
“i believe you,” [name] said with a grin, finalizing the ropeway and sighing at the exercise, “this weather isn’t good for my heart, where’s chopper? we should go now,”
“it’s also not helping you’re not wearing a shirt, idiot!” usopp cried out, making [name] laugh in return.
“everyone! hop on the sleigh! we are going down the ropes!” chopper’s sudden yell made everyone turn their heads, but then their jaws dropped to see the circumstances in which they were leaving.
dr. kureha, for whatever reason, was throwing endless amounts of weapons at chopper’s running form and yelling profanities at the reindeer. chopper was running with his four legs and carrying a sled with him.
“oo! free ride!” [name] cheered, running forward and being one of the firsts to get on board. the others soon followed, zoro carelessly throwing sanji inside, and then they were off.
chopper ran at a remarkable speed carrying all of them, but it seemed he was only focused on getting to the bottom of the rope. he didn’t look back even once.
[name] laughed the entire way down, finding the urgency to leave hilarious. seeing dr. kureha so determined in driving chopper out was funny, but also sad.
he hummed in thought, not particularly liking how this island had a terrible habit of making funny things just as funny as they were depressing.
but as they were finally on solid ground, there were several bangs that were going off and they were coming from the castle. chopper eventually stopped, turning into his small form and walking towards the light that was emitting from the castle.
everyone else on the sleigh stayed behind and allowed chopper to process it by himself.
“it’s beautiful,” nami breathed out, eyes enamored with the light show.
“awesome!!!” luffy shouted, zoro nodding in agreement.
“that lady sure is funny,” [name] said, leaning against his seat on the sleigh, completely focused on the lights.
chopper began wildly crying at the sight.
”doctor! doctorine!” he shouted into the cold winter air, bellows of crying following soon after.
[name] remained silent, eyes dimming at the heartfelt goodbye. he held his open palm out to catch some of the pink snow and chuckled as he saw it melt in his hand. with the water in his hand, he focused on shaping out a jolly roger.
he smiled softly as he saw it turn solid, the pink strawhat jolly roger freezing in place.
“hah, i hate pink,” he said under his breath, making vivi turn her head towards him.
“what was that, [name]?” she asked smiling softly, not hearing what he had said. when she caught sight of the small piece of art he made in his palm, her eyes sparkled a bit.
“nothing, princess,” he assured her, pinching the ice in his hand and sadly watching it melt at his natural body heat. “nothing,”
it continued to rain pink snow until they made it to the ship, all of them leaving chopper alone to take in his farewell. well, that only lasted for so long before [name] was smothering him.
“hey, chopper, let’s go party!”
“yeah, yeah, come and sing with us!” sanji joined in.
“here, drink!”
[name] took the jug usopp was offering to chopper and handed it to zoro (who gladly took it), giving usopp a disapproving look.
“he’s too young to drink that, usopp!”
“no way, how old are you, chopper?”
“i’m-”
“here, stick these up your nose!” luffy said, breaking into the conversation and holding a pair of chopsticks for chopper to take.
the poor reindeer, who was overwhelmed by it all, had backed away slowly before he was caught by the ship’s navigator.
“you made friends with some pretty crazy guys, huh?” she asked teasingly, although there was a soft way in which she spoke. she understood that chopper was still sensitive to the goodbyes he had to share so she, unlike the men on the crew, tried to make him feel somewhat comforted.
their festivities didn’t die out one bit, usopp leading the toast in bringing chopper on board.
[name] had his own mug of coffee, lifting in up as he held chopper on his shoulders, and crying out with the rest of the crew, “cheers!”
chopper had a pair of chopsticks still in his nose and mouth as he shouted, making [name] laugh at his slurred words. the laugh seemed to infect the reindeer himself as he was left clutching his small, furry stomach in glee.
“you’re gonna patch me up after every fight, right chopper?!” [name] asked the new doctor, earning a nod in response.
“do you get in fights often, [name]?” chopper politely asked, making [name] grin so wide his eyes had crinkles at the end.
“i’m the strongest on the crew!”
“really?”
“liar, he’s a liar, chopper! don’t believe him!” luffy said, stretching his head to literally butt into the conversation, “i’m the strongest!”
“[name]’s definitely just a pain in the ass, he doesn’t know shit about fighting, chopper, don’t believe him,” zoro said, waving his hand at chopper’s question.
"[name] can’t even-”
“alright, no more shitting on me! i’ll beat all of you up, how about that?!” [name] said, throwing his mug of coffee on deck, throwing his hands up as if he were going to box.
the three seemed to take that as an invitation and before they all knew it, their four crewmates were all fighting each other. it more so  turned into a fight between zoro and sanji, as they were focused on one-upping each other, and then luffy and [name] wrestling across the deck.
“i bet [name]’s gonna win!” nami said, beris in her eyes.
“zoro, cut him up!” usopp drunkenly cheered, focusing on the other fight instead.
“is this really okay?!” chopper cried out, watching as they were all tumbling around deck to fight.
“it’s alright, chopper, just place your bets!” nami said, beri being the only thing in her eyes once more.
as they all continued to fight and laugh, [name] came out on top.
“that’s what i thought! suck my dick, you annoying assholes!” he crudely shouted into the night air, choking luffy with his own arm and having his feet planted on the back of both sanji and zoro’s heads.
“this isn’t over! i never lose!” luffy said in fury.
“why are you interfereing with our fight, idiot!?” zoro shouted.
"you won't be so confident when i kick you overboard into the freezing ocean! ” sanji threatened.
“see that, chopper! i’m the real winner!!!” [name] said confidently, grinning from ear to ear as he showed chopper his strength, “be like me, okay?!”
nami sighed and shook her head as [name] began infecting chopper’s naive mind whilst vivi only could chuckle behind her hand.
sanji and zoro both tackled [name] after his proud exclamation, ruining the pedestal [name] had put himself on for chopper. the reindeer still was looking at him in amazement though as he now was fighting both zoro and sanji at the same time.
despite their violent celebrations, though, all of them gathered in the boy’s dorm and shared their company with one another. there were enough hammocks for everyone and the going merry finally got to hear some peace and quiet.
well, as peace and quiet it can get with zoro snoring loud enough for everyone to hear.
the next morning, everyone was still upbeat and energetic over their new crewmate, plus the fact nami was feeling much better now. [name] brewed himself a cup of coffee, sliding one over to nami, “look, i saved enough for the two of us to drink!”
the orange haired girl grinned, nodding her head in thanks and taking a sip of the mug. she blinked, pleasantly surprised by the taste.
“woah, [name] this is really good,” she praised, making him shrug in response, “make my coffee from now on, alright?” a cheeky grin was on her face and [name] had a feeling that there was some underlying motive. just as he was about to question her, she continued on, “you know, i couldn’t properly calculate how many coffee beans of mine you had eaten…so let’s just mark the total to: 100,000 beri. for every cup of coffee you make me, i can take that price down 3%.”
“oi!!!” [name] said, jaw dropped as she revealed it was all a ploy to get her money’s worth.
“now, now, i don’t want to hear complaints! that’s even after my discount since you nursed me back to health! just be glad i’m even applying a low fee,” she said, taking the cup of coffee and waltzing out of the kitchen as if she didn’t send [name] into an impossible debt.
he was still standing in place and looking at the coffee in his hands, deflating at he knew that nami was dead serious when it came to getting her money back. well, he may as well make the most of his delicious coffee as it may be the last he’ll have for a while.
if nami was charging him for the individual coffee beans, he didn’t want to think about how much a whole cup would cost.
he met the rest of the crew on deck, eagerly walking over when he saw them sitting in a circle with cards.
“ah, don’t join us, we already gave out the hand,” zoro said, already predicting what [name]’s first words were going to be.
“i’ll watch!” [name] said, taking a seat right behind the swordsman. zoro couldn’t do much to shoo away the man from there, allowing him to look at his hand.
“don’t say stupid shit now, this is for real beri!” zoro said, a smirk on his face as he saw the unfolding of the rest of the cards. “i’m gonna win! i think i owe that greedy hag some money anyway…”
“hell no, i’m taking all the winnings, nami is gonna do my head in if i don’t repay her soon…” usopp whined, seemingly dejected at the sight of his cards.
“don’t bad mouth nami-san! i’m happy to be in her debt,” sanji said, ever the prince, “if it means she’ll look my way again for another day, i am eternally grateful!”
as expected, it seemed everyone was in debt to nami.
[name] looked on with wide eyes as the rest of the cards were shown in the middle, eager to see sanji and usopp’s.
chopper came running to them and around circles, yelling about something regarding luffy, but unfortunately, the game was just getting interesting and no one in their circle was willing to move.
[name] prodded at zoro’s side, making the swordsman scowl at him. but then he saw [name]’s satisfied smile and then returned it. zoro’s hand was really, really good actually, and there was no way he’d lose it. he would definitely win! their matching mischevious grins showed how confident they were.
just as the trio were going to reveal their hands, luffy and the “trouble” he got himself into came crashing into all of them. it left them all sprawled out on deck, the cards that they were holding now loosely flying in the wind.
“huh? are you guys sleeping?” luffy’s oblivious voice asked.
“it’s your fault!” they all shouted, springing into the air and angrily glaring at their captain.
“how are you gonna fix this situation! i had a good hand!” usopp shouted.
“really? sorry!” luffy said and at the sight of his wide smile, [name] felt his annoyance bubble down.
instead he came running over and looking at the “catch” up close. he kicked it a couple of times with his foot and suddenly felt himself get hungry.
“that’s pretty huge,” zoro commented, a smirk on his face, “now we can have some decent meals,”
“sanji, cook it now!” [name] childishly commanded.
briskly walking over to the bird, and slapping his hand down on [name]’s head as he passed, sanji commented on how they didn't have time to prep a whole bird for feasting on.
“oh, but i bet if nami-san or vivi-chan,” [name] said in a mocking of the blonde’s voice when he spoke their names, “asked, you’d do it right away, perv!”
“come on! let’s fight right now, shit for brains, i’ll throw you overboard!” sanji said, about to kick [name], if it weren’t for nami’s interference.
“guys! we are about to land at alabasta soon, this isn’t the time to be joking around. come on!” she commanded, successfully getting sanji off of [name]’s back and gathering them all at the center of merry.
“so what’s alabasta?” chopper asked curiously.
“alabasta is a country that vivi’s dad governs,” nami patiently replied.
“there’s a rogue named crocodile that’s trying to take over it right now,”
“i hear that crocodile is one of the sevel warlords of the sea,” sanji added in, but chopper only seemed to become more confused.
“seven warlords of the sea?” he echoed, a blank look on his face.
“they’re pirates that are under the world government,” [name] said, a smirk on his face as he thought of the seven pirates, “they’re a bunch of dogs, basically,”
“hey, hold on, that’s really undermining them,” nami said, a pointed look on her face, “chopper, the seven warlords are really strong people.”
“i could take them,” [name] said, making chopper turn to him in shock.
“really? [name], you could?!”
just as [name] was going to reply, usopp knocked him on the head to interrupt, “don’t pay attention to this guy, he’s not normal, chopper. he’s insane, even. the seven warlords are crazy strong, they can easily crush any other pirate — that’s why the government employs them in the first place.”
“my point still stands, they’re just dogs,” [name] shrugged, showing clear dislike to both the world government and the seven warlords.
vivi, who was curious as to why, was about to ask what grudge [name] had against both parties, but luffy had cut her off, “crocodile, huh…? i can’t wait to see him!” the fist luffy was holding up seemed to emphasize his point.
“crocodile is a hero in alabasta because he crushes the pirates that attack towns,” vivi explained to the crew, “but that’s only his public act! behind the scenes, he’s the one pulling the strings that caused the civil war in alabasta, in order to take over alabasta. no one has noticed it…the citizens, my father…no one!!!”
[name] grinned sadistically, licking his lips at the thought of beating a warlord.
“all right then! in any case, all we have to do is beat up that crocodile, right?” luffy exclaimed, punching his fist into his open hand. he had that same stupid grin on his face, but seeing it only made [name]’s grin turn wider.
“yes, if we can first stop the civil war and expel baroque works…” vivi said, a determined look in her eyes.
“well, i already promised you i’d beat crocodile up, so taking care of his underlings shouldn’t be too bad,” [name] said, imagining the many weaker and fodder pirates that were acting under crocodile.
“hey! i’m gonna be the one to take down crocodile!” luffy shouted stubbornly at [name], “he’s my enemy, i put dibs on him since the beginning!”
“well, i told vivi i’d take care of crocodile the moment i saw him, so you can take your dibs back, luffy,” [name] said, not at all intimidated by luffy’s childish nature.
“i’m the captain, whatever i say goes!”
“why do you always pull the captain card at the most inconvenient times?!” [name] snarled.
“see chopper, i told you, [name]’s an insane man. arguing with our own captain on taking down a warlord…a bad example, indeed,” usopp whispered to their newest crewmate, who seemed to simply nod his head in agreement. “these are the qualms of strong men,”
“well, vivi, explain to us the system that the organization works in,” nami said, punching both luffy and [name] for arguing in the middle of a serious conversation. it effectively shut the two of them up. “if we are going to take down the whole system, as [name] said.”
the h/c haired boy grinned in reassurance, “i’ll kill them all,”
it was unsettling to see such a serious and violent sentiment be conveyed through a friendly smile.
“well, the actual system is simple. at the top, there’s crocodile, mr. 0, the boss. then there are 12 agents and one animal who receives orders from the boss directly. each of the 12 agents operates separately with a female agent.
“mr. 1 and miss double finger, then mr. 2, who doesn’t have a partner…”
“mr. 3 is the candle man we met in little garden, right?” zoro interrupted, making vivi nod her head in confirmation.
“yes, he was paired with miss golden week,”
sanji and [name] looked at each other, blank expressions on their faces as they didn’t get the chance to meet — or even see — the pair that the crew were talking about.
“mr. 4 is paired up with miss merry christmas, i don’t know much about these two either.”
“then there’s a snot guy!” usopp proudly proclaimed. making usopp turn to him in confusion.
“snot?”
“yeah, when he sneezes there are sharp knives that come from his nose,” [name] said, lying to the poor reindeer.
“don’t lie to the new member!” nami scolded, bringing her fist down onto [name]’s head once again.
“well, [name] wasn’t too far off, his whole body is a weapon,” vivi explained in a more refined way, “miss valentine has the powers of the kilo-kilo fruit.”
“stupid ass fruit,” [name] said under his breath, making luffy laugh at his crude words.
“the woman that can change her weight freely, right?” at the question, vivi simply nodded.
vivi went on to explain more of the agents, but [name] felt himself zoning out. whoever their opponents were, it didn’t matter. he’d crush all of them. it sounded like an easy enough mission.
he leaned on the railing of the merry, looking out at the vast ocean. mindlessly, he caused some shapes to form in the ocean, grinning as he saw the water fluidly obey.
defeating devil fruit users, or anyone for that matter, was easy when you had the sea at your beck and call. [name] had perfectly good reason to be confident. hopefully, he’d get to show off some of the reason as to why the world government so badly wanted his head on a platter.

Yeojin's coming of age ceremony
Yeojin was a well known girl around her college. Everyone thought of her as a cute girl because of her petite size. Yeojin hated being called cute and had always tried her best to look sexy but her attempts were of no use as everyone still saw her as the innocent and cute girl in their college department. One of the main reasons why Yeojin hated being so short was that everyone always treated her like a kid regardless of how old she actually was.
On a Friday night, Yeojin calls her unnie Vivi and asks her if she wants to go to this new local bar that came up near her house. Vivi rejected this offer because she was busy having ‘fun’ with ther girlfriend Haseul to which Yeojin groaned and said fine I will go by myself. Vivi didn’t like this idea so she said “I don’t want you going to the bar by yourself it isn’t safe for you” this caused Yeojin to get mad and she replied “why is it not safe for me is it because you see me as a small child? I am not a small child, you guys need to understand that I am a grown ass woman. Do you think a child would have tits as big as mine?”. Since Vivi is one of her closest friends she understands that Yeojin does not like to be treated like a child so Vivi says “okay you can go but if anything gets out of hand please contact me. You understand?” Yeojin says “ okay ‘mother’ I can take care of myself”.
Tumblr media
Yeojin wears this outfit and goes to the club.
Yeojin enters the new club in her area called Euphoria but at the entry they ask her to sign a paper and also submit her phone, she finds it weird but just signs the NDA paper without reading the contents of it and she also submits her phone. She goes to the bar and orders a drink named Old Fashioned to which the bartender is surprised and says “ a small girl like you shouldn’t be having such a strong drink especially in a bar like this”. Yeojin gets pissed and says “I asked for an old fashioned drink not your old fashioned opinion”. The bartender looks at her in disbelief and just makes her the drink and gives it to her.
Yeojin is slowly sipping on her drink when a western man with dark skin walks up to her and  says “since when did they start letting children into this place?” Yeojin is already mad at the bartender for being an asshole so she says “I am a woman for your information and I was born in 2002 so I can go to any bar that I want”. The man then replies “there is no way that you walked into this bar consciously”, this confuses Yeojin so she looks around her noticing only a handful of women but a large number or of men and she asks the guy what he is talking about to which the man replies “this is an orgy bar you dumbass did you not read the agreement that you signed when you entered the club?” Yeojin realizes what she has gotten herself into and asks the man if there is a way for her to get out of the club before it starts but the man replied “the agreement that you signed also indicates that you will not be able to back out until the orgy is over which is at 4:00 AM in the morning”, Yeojin looks at her watch and realizes that the time is only 11:00 PM. She thinks about how she is going to stay away from this nonsense until 4:00 AM so that she can get out of this. The guy she is talking to her notices the change in her body language and that this was a genuine mistake so he tells her that she can sit down near the bar and the bartender will ensure that she remains safe from others as long as that's what she wishe, Yeojin is surprised by this comment and asks “how are you so sure that the bartender will keep me safe?” to which he replies saying “because I will tell him and he has no choice but to listen to me because I own this place”. Yeojin is shocked but accepts the offer and sits at the bar.
As soon as the clock strikes 12:00 AM the owner of the club gets on the stage and announces that the orgy shall now begin and that people are free to do whatever and whoever they want. Yeojin is surprised by this announcement but she chooses to stare at her phone rather than watch people have sex. While sitting at the bar and using her phone, she finishes her drink so she calls the bartender to order another drink and the first thing that the bartender says is “someone said that she wasn’t a small child but look at you staying away from all this because you are scared of some dicks. So, what drink do you want?” The bartender really pisses her off so she orders a few vodka shots which she downs in one go and says “watch me be ‘scared’ of dicks”.
After downing the shots Yeojin is now tipsy and angry so she decides that she wants to prove that she isn’t scared of dicks and that she isn’t a child. So she walks to a guy who is jacking off waiting for his turn with a woman and says “if you want a hole to fuck you can use mine” and she lifts her skirt up showing her bare pussy as she wasn’t wearing any panties. The man takes this invitation and starts to finger Yeojin’s pussy while kissing her and the presence of a new woman on the floor attracts more men. After the man finishes kissing yeojin, he picks up yeojin and places her on the table and he shoves his cock into yeojin’s pussy which causes yeojin to moan loudly. As the man slowly started moving Yeojin looked him in the eyes and said “is this all you are capable of?” this pisses of the man and he starts to pound Yeojin hard and fast making Yeojin a moaning mess she starts to get very loud so another man comes up near Yeojin’s head and pushes his cock into her throat and starts to fuck it, one more man slowly places himself behind Yeojin and slowly shoves his cock into her asshole which causes her to shriek in pain but she slowly gets used to being so full and is moaning on the guys cock that she is sucking. All the three guys cum in their respective holes one by one. After the pull out, Yeojin screams “I want some big dick come and fuck me like you mean it! Make you your public cum dump, Fuck me however you want use me like I am nothing but a cock sleve”. This attracts more men and now Yeojin has 2 dicks in her ass, 2 dicks in her pussy and a dick in each of her hands. Yeojin is a moaning mess now and is screaming at the top of her lungs in pleasure. While she was benign fucked she screams saying “use me like you mean it! Break me, break my tiny cunt and my tight asshole. Cum inside my pussy and breed me so much that I won’t be able to figure out who is the father of the child. This caused the men to speed up and fill her up with cum.
When it is 4:00AM and everyone is leaving the bar, Yeojin is laying there filled with cum and in bliss. The bartender comes to her and says “ma’am it's time to leave, it is already 4:30 AM please leave so we can clean up”. Yeojin turns to the bartender and says “do you think a chick who is scared of dick would have done what I did? You better watch your mouth you virgin son of a bitch”. After speaking to the bartender Yeojin leaves the bar limping with cum leaking down her thighs.
Yeojin then becomes a regular at the Euphoria bar visiting it every weekend. After three weekends of being bred by men she didn’t know she finds out that she is pregnant but that doesn’t stop her as she continues to go to the bar every weekend to get fucked by random men even while she is pregnant and her belly starts to show.
Yeojin’s state after her 27th week of going to club Euphoria every weekend.
The end.

Things That Are Worth It
Things That Are Worth It
Jake x reader
Word Count: 5.6K
Warnings: little angsty; fluffy; talks of abortion; pregnancy (both forced and intentional); adoption; struggling teen moms
Summary: You and Jake tell your oldest child the story of their welcoming.
A/N: I wrote this before the SCOTUS Roe v. Wade reversal. Although this decision was on my radar and we knew it was coming, I like many others still felt a little blindsided. If you need a safe person to confide in, please reach out to me, and if you need help finding abortion resources, please let me know. I can help research and connect you to the right people.
Also, a quick disclaimer – I may have graduated law school and will (hopefully) be a practicing attorney in a few months, but I do not know how adoption/CPS/child custody cases work. Those are niche practice areas that have different rules in every jurisdiction, and so the “legal” pieces of this fic are purely fictional.
------
You knew this moment would eventually come, and you had truthfully thought it would have come years before now. However, neither you nor Jake had imagined that she would have read it in a magazine.
“How could you not tell me?!” your fourteen-year-old daughter exclaimed loudly, throwing her hands in the air. “All this time and you’re not even my real parents. I knew I didn’t look like either of you.”
“Baby, we are your parents. Just because Momma didn’t carry you for nine months doesn’t mean you aren’t ours,” Jake reasoned, grasping your shaking hand in one hand and fisting the magazine in his other.
“I feel like my entire life is a lie!” Vivy stormed out of the dining room, slamming her bedroom door at the top of the staircase.
You looked over at Jake whose eyes looked almost as watery as your own. “We’ve talked about how we were going to do this so many times, but it’s so much more difficult than I thought.”
“I know, honey. I just wish we had been able to have control of it.” Jake looked away from you towards the rolled-up magazine. He had been voted Guitarist of the Year for the umpteenth time, and the new author jumped at the opportunity to write about your family at the smallest mention of Jake’s inspiration. “I mean, seriously. ‘Jake’s family is a heavy inspiration for his and Greta Van Fleet’s music. His wife, Y/N, and their three children, Genevieve, June, and Wiley, are his biggest muses.’ That’s where they should have stopped, but no. God, I wish I knew who this ‘source’ is.”
You looked down at the rest of the article.
Jake’s family had quite the unusual start. Rumors started to swirl around Jake and his wife when a very pregnant Y/N was spotted with a very small baby towards the end of 2022. According to a source close to the pair, the couple adopted their oldest in 2022, and by June of 2023, the two had two children under 12 months old.
You leaned over and pressed your forehead into Jake’s shoulder, letting some tears flow. “This isn’t how I wanted this to go. What are we going to do, Jake?”
Jake’s hand came across his body to stroke your hair. “I’m not sure, baby. I think we should give her a couple minutes to cool off and then we go talk to her.”
“I guess you’re right,” you sighed.
Tonight was supposed to be a fun evening for you and Jake. The kids were to stay at Josh’s house for a sleepover, and you and Jake had plans to surprise your girls the next afternoon with their own separate bedrooms. At first, it was just easy to have the two babies in one room to avoid jumping from room to room throughout the night. Then, the girls grew to be the best of friends, and it broke your heart to even think about separating them. As soon as the girls became teenagers, however, they seemed to become slightly claustrophobic when it came to each other. You tried to ignore it, because watching your two baby girls grow into their own persons independent of each other was difficult to bear, but Jake was a realist. He convinced you once night while getting ready for bed that this could be a good thing, to have the girls become more independent. Plus, he reasoned, they each deserved to have a space they could call their own. Over the last couple of months, the two of you ordered new queen beds and other bedroom furniture that fit each of their personalities better than the matching accessories they had grown up with. Tonight was supposed to be the night the two of you would share a bottle of wine—and maybe a kiss or two—and put all of your girls’ rooms together in anticipation of surprising them the next day.
You rubbed at your eyes as you stood from the breakfast nook and opened the dishwasher to put some dishes away. Junie and Wiley were already at Josh’s, but Vivy had had volleyball practice before she could be dropped off. When she rushed to Jake’s car afterwards with the magazine rolled up in her fist and a look of indignation across her face, you knew she wasn’t going to be making it to Josh’s for movie night. Her look of betrayal burned into your brain.
“Y/N, you can leave those for Wiley to put away tomorrow, it’s his day.” Jake pressed his front to your back, wrapping himself around you while you reach up to place a bowl on it assigned shelf.
You sighed and continued reaching into the dishwasher to put more dishes away. “I need something to do, and they will start to smell like mildew if we leave them in here. Plus, I think it’s safe to say chores won’t be high on the list of priorities tomorrow.”
Jake gently took the mug out of your hands and placed it on the counter while pulling you closer to his chest. He placed a soft kiss to the juncture of your neck and shoulder blade and intertwined both of your hands.
“Baby, we’re gonna get through this, you and me and our three,” he chuckled into your neck at his little rhyme. “Do you remember what you told me the morning after the night she came?”
You choked out a watery laugh and closed your eyes at the memory, nodding your head as you rested it backwards on his shoulder. Of course you remembered; ever since you had let the phrase leave your lips he had quoted them back to you and told all your friends and family the story of the snide remark you had made.
“I think it was something like ‘if you wanted easy you shouldn’t have married me.’”
“That has always been my favorite part to tell, I had never seen you so fiery. It was the first time I had a glimpse of what you are like in the courtroom,” Jake laughed again. “But that’s only the first part. You said ‘of course it’s not going to be easy, but things that are worth it never are.’”
You thought back fondly of that weekend. It wasn’t even when she became yours, but it was the weekend you and Jake had fallen in love with her. It had been a chaotic and difficult few days, but retrospect is always sweeter.
14 years earlier…
“Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit,” you chanted as you struggled to place your files into your work bag while you exited the firm. A last-minute meeting with your firm’s top paying client had kept you an hour past the end of your usual Friday. Although this was not usually a big deal, your in-laws were set to have arrived two hours ago and you knew your house was already swarming with Kiszkas and close friends. You had promised Jake that you would make it home in time, and the meeting and your phone dying in the middle of it had you in a panic.
“Hey baby, are you leaving the office?” Jake answered your call as you exited the parking lot.
“Jake, I am so sorry. I know I promised I would be home an hour ago, but we had a last-minute meeting with our biggest client and my phone died halfway through so I couldn’t text you. Is everyone there already?”
“It’s okay. I checked your location when you hadn’t called and saw you were at the office still, so I figured something important had come up. Mom, Dad and Ronnie got in a little early, but the guys just showed up about thirty minutes ago. No need to rush, just get home safe,” he assured. “We’ve just been visiting and I’m about to fire up the grill. You’ll be just in time.”
“Okay, baby. I’ll be there soon. Love you.”
“Love you, too. Bye.”
. . .
“I’m so sorry I’m late,” you explain, walking through the sliding glass door onto the patio where your husband’s family and a few of your friends were situated. You planted a sweet kiss on Jake standing by the grill and made your way around the group to greet properly.
“It’s okay, dear, Jake told us you were called into a meeting. Where attorney duties call, boss babe attorneys answer!” You laughed at Karen’s words as you placed a kiss on her and Kelly’s cheeks. You had always loved the Kiszkas, and Karen had become like a second mother to you. You were sometimes amazed at the amount of pride and support they had left for you after how much they uplifted their hoard of children.
“Yeah, it was last minute. Hopefully it calmed some storms for the near future, at least. How was y’all’s trip?”
. . .
You caught up with the group briefly before it was time to eat, and your party moved indoors to the dining room for some more chatting over food. You were finally unwinding from your treacherous day, and Jake’s thumb rubbing patterns on the top of your thigh as his hand rested there helped soothe you even more.
“Then, we went to this vineyard in France and it’s very interesting how they grow their grapes…” Josh raved on charismatically, speaking with his hands as he recalled the band’s most recent tour in Europe. You smiled as you remembered the warm French breeze wisping through your hair as your mind buzzed slightly from the amount of wine you had “sampled.” You remember watching Jake, his lips and teeth tinged a slight purple, listening intently to your tour guide, and the way his skin shimmered in the golden sunset light against his white linen suit.  You remember falling more in love with him in that instant
A chime coming from both your and Jake’s phones simultaneously pulled you out of your memory, your Ring doorbell signaling movement had been detected outside your front door. You both looked over at each other with furrowed brows, but when Jake shrugged and resumed listening to Josh’s recount of European life, you let it go, too. Sometimes, a stray dog would throw off the doorbell, and everyone who could show up unannounced was already in your home, so it seemed of little consequence. However, a short moment later, the chime came again. And then again.
“Did you order something?” Jake leaned over to ask you in a soft tone, not wanting to disrupt the flowing conversation between his family and friends.
“I ordered those shoes I showed you at lunch today, but there’s no way they would be here already. And it’s 7:30 on a Friday night—I don’t think there would be any deliveries being made at this time,” you whispered back, brows furrowed once again in confusion.
Jake pulled his phone out of his pocket and you watched as he clicked on the notification to open the Ring app. You expected to see a stray or two playing around the front of your home, but you did not expect what was transpiring on your front porch.
At the top of the stairs, was a pile of items seemingly purposed for babies. Boxes of diapers, cans of formula, what looked like a diaper bag, and a few other bags that you could not see the contents of were stacked neatly against the railing of the porch. The most shocking part of the scene, however, was that a young woman was again opening the iron gate at the front of your yard and weaving a car seat through.
Your heart raced as you shared a wide-eyed look with Jake, and you jumped up from your seat to make it through the house to the front door. Josh’s story cut off, and you could feel the eyes of your company on your back, watching you with Jake hot on your heels make your way to the front of your home.  You knew what was happening, it wasn’t hard to deduce the decision the woman had made, and the advocate in you kicked right in.
You turned towards Jake with your hand on the door handle, jerking your head to the side to tell him to back off. You knew this was going to be a delicate situation, and despite your surprise and the questions you had, you wanted the woman to feel safe to tell you. You opened the door just as the woman had reached the halfway point of the walkway to the porch. She stilled immediately, and you could see the inner conflict she was having shift across her face. Should she run? Should she drop the baby here now that she had been caught? Should she continue on to the porch to leave the child where she had initially planned to?
You stepped out of the house, closing the door behind you and tried to give the woman the most reassuring smile you could muster. Now that you had a closer look at her, you could tell she was very young, maybe freshly eighteen. She looked at you quizzically and then back down to the sleeping baby she had in the car seat. It was clear she still hadn’t made up her mind of what to do.
“Hi,” you said simply, taking a seat on the porch swing facing the front lawn. You wanted to start gently, hoping to encourage the girl to speak with you. This one little word seemed to jump start her mind.
“Oh my god. Mrs. Kiszka, right? Y/N? I’m sorry I just—I don’t know what to—I saw you on your website and—” she blabbered on, taking rushed steps to the porch and settling the car seat at the top of the steps. Tears were flowing down her cheeks, and she roughly wiped them away as they came.
“Hey, slow down! It’s okay, just take a deep breath and have a seat if you’d like. I’m assuming you found me through my law firm?”
The girl nodded her head and wrung her hands together as she looked away from you. “I’m so sorry, I just can’t…your card fell out of someone’s pocket at the hospital, and I looked you up and I followed you here from your office.”
You looked towards the car seat to find what looked like a newborn who couldn’t have been more than a week old. “Okay. While you were at the hospital having baby…?” You looked up at the girl quizzically.
“Genevieve. Her name is Genevieve. Yes, on Monday.” She looked down at the sleeping baby, and more tears started to flow. “I just can’t,” she repeated, her breathing picking up again.
“That’s okay, that’s perfectly okay,” you tried to soothe. “Do you want to sit here with me for a moment? I can get you a bottle of water or something?”
She looked at you warily still, chewing on her bottom lip and pulling at the ends of her hair.
“You’re not in trouble, and I’m not going to report you for anything. I just want to help,” you offered, hoping she would trust you.
She sighed and sat on the top step with her back pushed against the pilar facing you slightly. She pulled her knees to her chest and pushed her face into them as she wrapped her arms around herself. You could see this situation was eating her up inside, and you held back tears yourself. As she sat, she also spoke. You learned that her name was Amelia, that she had just turned eighteen the week before, and that she had no one. She had gotten pregnant by some older guy who had only been in town a few weeks before the wind plucked him up again. She hadn’t known his real name, and any source of contact with him had led to dead ends. Abortion hadn’t been obtainable for her, and she had talked herself out of every attempt to speak with someone about adoption. She had gone through so many conflicting thoughts, thinking of keeping the baby and then realizing she couldn’t take care of her. The ultimate decision maker, she said, was when she got the acceptance letter to a university in the next state over with the opportunity to start her life over. She knew that she couldn’t go to school and raise the baby properly at the same time, and that if she stayed here she would just continue the cycle of abuse and desperation that would lead to her baby becoming just like her. When she saw your card, she looked you up and felt like you were the right person to leave her baby with. She had staked out your office since she had been released from the hospital, and today she finally drew up the courage to do what she had set out to do. She knew you would either love and cherish her daughter as your own or find someone who would.
“I will do everything I can to make sure she is safe and in a loving home, thank you for trusting me with her. But can I ask you why you thought I would be a safe bet for her? I can tell you care,” you asked, genuinely curious.
“I do care, and it scares me that people will think I just abandoned her or threw her out like nothing,” she commented. “I just saw that you are really successful and you seem happy. And then I saw your husband bring you lunch the other day, and it made me think about all the times I wish I had grown up with two parents who loved each other and loved me. I don’t know, it just felt right. I want her to have the life that I never had.”
I nodded along with her. You heard the front door behind you open, and Amelia jumped. Jake emerged from your home with two bottles of water and a plate of cheese, fruit and crackers. He immediately paused as he noticed Amelia’s apprehension, but you just nodded.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, I just wondered if you were hungry or thirsty or anything,” he trailed off softly, taking a small step forward and holding out the water bottle. Amelia gave him a tight-lipped smile and took the bottle of water, opening it to take a small sip.
“Amelia, this is my husband Jake,” you spoke out, accepting your own bottle of water he extended to you. “And Jake, this is Amelia.”
“Nice to meet you, Amelia. And who have we got here?” Jake questioned as the baby started to fuss. Amelia looked at the baby with wide eyes and then up to you quickly. It was obvious that even though she had spent a good three days with the baby, she was not prepared to be its caretaker. Jake noticed this, too, and you watched as he gestured towards the fussy baby to ask Amelia for permission to pick her up. When she nodded, he placed the plate of food on the porch next to her, gently unbuckled the infant and scooped her up.
The baby started to actually cry, and Jake’s face showed you he realized he had miscalculated. You chuckled and took the baby from his hands, rocking her gently in your arms. “Amelia, when was the last time she ate? Maybe she’s hungry,” you pondered out loud.
Amelia retrieved a bottle from one of the bags on the porch and Jake went inside to warm up some water. You spoke some more, letting Amelia eat what Jake had brought out and encouraging her to let you help her figure everything out before she left for school in a month. Eventually, she conceded, and you exchanged phone numbers and addresses before she left, giving one last kiss to the sleeping baby in your arms.
Jake helped you carry the baby and her things into the house, meeting the bewildered faces of the people closest to you. You smiled warily and shifted the sleeping baby in your arms to give them a better look.
“What is even going on here? I am so confused,” Sam piped up first.
“Well, I think we have another temporary guest tonight,” Jake airily chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. His parents and siblings flocked to the baby,
You handed Jake the baby and excused yourself to your bedroom to call your friend Natalie at Child Protective Services. As vaguely as you could, you explained the situation and that you were advocating for the birth mother so that Amelia could get through the process smoothly and make it to school the next month. Natalie was familiar with this kind of situation, but she let you know that there were currently no foster homes equipped to take newborns on a Friday evening. She would have to come retrieve the baby to either take back to the hospital for the interim or to the CPS office until a foster home could be found on Monday. Something just didn’t feel right to you about that, so you suggested keeping the baby over the weekend. After some convincing, paperwork, and copies of drivers licenses of everyone in your home that weekend, Natalie agreed. As you were saying your goodbyes to Natalie, Jake walked into your shared bedroom.
“Y/N, what are you doing? Why did you ask for everyone’s IDs?” He crossed his arms while standing in front of you at the foot of the bed.
“Well, I uh…so here’s the thing,” you started, giving him a sheepish smile. “They don’t have a foster home available right now and the only other option is for her to go back to the hospital or to be stuck in a CPS office with some random CPS officer until they can look for a home on Monday. It just didn’t sit right with me, Jake, so I said she could stay here with us for the weekend.”
Jake looked at you incredulously for a moment, sighing and running a hand through his locks dramatically. “Baby, you can’t just make that decision without asking me! She’s not just a baby, she’s like 5 days old!”
“But Jake, I promised Amelia I would make sure she was loved and cherished and taken care of! If they took her to the hospital, she would just be another baby among a sea of babies, and if she went to the CPS office, she would get the most minimum care she needs. I’m sorry I didn’t consult you first, but I couldn’t hang up the phone!” you tried to explain. You knew you should have spoken with Jake before suggesting it, and you knew you could have called Natalie back after doing so, but something about the situation felt emergent.
Jake sighed and sat down next to you, placing his elbows on his knees and hanging his head between his shoulders. He put his chin in one hand and tilted his head to look at you. “We have no idea what to do with a baby, Y/N. This is going to be really hard.”
“If you wanted easy, you shouldn’t have married me!” you snapped, eyes wide and slightly glossy. “Of course it’s not going to be easy, but things that are worth it never are.”
His mouth opened and closed as he looked at you, and a smile slowly crept across his features. “You’re right. I guess I wouldn’t have said no, anyways. She’s kind of cute.” You smiled at each other and shared a quick kiss before heading back out into the living room to mingle with your family and your newest house guest.
The weekend seemed to drag on, you and Jake hardly getting any sleep. You had decided to place the pack-n-play Amelia had left in yours and Jake’s room, as it had been your decision to have her stay and it felt unfair to put your other house guests through her cries. You even felt bad for Jake, since it was your decision to host her, but he waived you off, reminding you consistently that he was your husband and that anything you chose to do you would do it together. So the two of you worked together to calm her nightly cries, change her diaper, cuddle her until she felt safe enough to sleep. Still, there was a lot the two of you did not know, and Karen and Kelly helped teach you and Jake how to take care of Genevieve. Ronnie kept her company long enough for both of you to shower and clean up around the house, and the guys came around throughout the weekend to keep everyone company.
Jake started calling her Vivy Sunday evening after she spit up on Sam’s new sweater. His laughter and “Atta girl, Vivy!” melted your heart, and your perspective started to shift. You and Karen watched from the kitchen as you prepared dinner, and she took note of your smile and slightly watery eyes. She knew you too well.
“She’s a real cutie, you know. You sure we have to give her back tomorrow?” Karen laughed, bumping your arm with hers. You laughed along with her, but her words stuck in the back of your mind.
“Babe, watch this!” Jake’s excited voice garnered your interest as he strutted into the kitchen with the baby in his arms. When he got close enough, he placed a couple kisses to the Genevieve’s cheek and in response she opened her eyes slightly and seemed to give a small smile. “She smiled!” He repeated the motion a couple times and smiled again.
“Oh, sweet girl,” you cooed, gently rubbing your thumb across her forehead. When you looked up at Jake, you saw a look of complete awe as he stared back at the baby. You wondered if he had the same voice in the back of his head.
. . .
Later that night, you and Jake sat in your bed watching a movie with a sleeping baby held close to your chest. It was way past 3 AM, but Genevieve had just fallen asleep after a couple of hours of being fussy, and your mind was still racing.
“What time is Natalie supposed to come get her?” Jake quietly questioned, turning on his side to face you and place a hand atop the one you held to the baby’s back.
“She didn’t say, she only said she would have to go to the office and make a few phone calls to find a foster home willing to take her first. I texted the partners and let them know the situation, so they can reach me on my cell tomorrow if they need to. Or today, I guess.”
There was a moment of silence between the two of you, and you looked down fondly at the sleeping baby once more.
“Do you think—”
“I have an ide—”
You both started at the same time. You chuckled and Jake motioned for you to start first.
“I just…okay, I know we talked about trying for a baby in like a year,” you trailed off, trying to find the words. “But do you think that maybe now is a good time? I mean, you guys are taking a break to work on the new album for a few months, and when you go back on tour maybe we could just come with you—”
“We?” Jake questioned, and you could swear you saw a glimmer of hope in his eyes when you looked back at him.
“I mean, I don’t know, Jake. The past couple of days have been some of the hardest days of my life, but they were also so fulfilling. And then you came in the kitchen tonight and she smiled when you kissed her little cheek, and I just…I don’t know if I’m ready to let her go tomorrow.” You sighed and sat up enough to pull the baby from your chest and rest her gently on the bed between your outstretched legs.
Jake was silent for a minute, and you were honestly afraid to look up at him to search his face for the words he hadn’t yet spoken. Maybe he didn’t feel the same way and this has just been a fun little experiment for him. Maybe he would rather you stick to the original plan of starting your family in a year. But when you finally built enough courage to look up at him, your worries dissipated. Jake had moved up to sit against the headboard, his knees bent as he looked over at you. His eyes were watery with joy and he smiled behind a bit lip.
“Y-yeah, yeah I think she should maybe stay here,” Jake responded with a cough, ever trying to hold on to his tough-guy demeanor. “And I think maybe we should make her ours.”
“Yeah, I think so, too,” you nodded. Jake stood up from the bed and took Genevieve to the pack-n-play to lay her down. You followed along behind him, and the two of you stood watching over her as she slept, hand in hand.
You called Natalie first thing the next morning after confirming once again with Jake that this was something you were sure you both wanted. Your families were delighted, and everyone helped the best they could over the next couple weeks getting your new daughter settled into her rightful place in your home. Amelia was ecstatic when you asked her if she would allow you and Jake to adopt the baby, saying that she had hoped you would say so. The three of you worked through the process together, and soon Amelia was off to college with the biggest weight lifted off of her shoulders. You didn’t hear much from her again, save for the graduation announcements from undergrad and –surprisingly—law school with little notes of appreciation and inspiration to you. You tried keeping in touch with her, but she kindly asked you to allow the both of you to live your lives separately. And you were proud to let her live out her dreams without you.
Two months after welcoming Vivy as your daughter, you found out you were pregnant. Terrified was a severe understatement, but when you showed Jake the test, he belted out the most elated belly laugh you thought you would ever hear from him. You remember him setting Vivy down in her bouncer and smashing your cheeks between his palms to kiss you deeply. He made sure to tell you all night how much he loved you, how much he loved your family already, and how much he was going to love adding a new little one to love. When you worried about handling two babies so close together, he would say he had two arms for a reason. He did so much to assure you that this was an exciting thing, and that he would be happy to have a busload more if you wanted them. When June came, and a 10-month-old Vivy smiled and clapped when she met her little sister for the first time, you felt like your heart would actually burst. Unadulterated happiness is the only way you could describe it.
Present time…
You sniffled as you remembered that weekend. It wasn’t easy, but it really had been worth it.
“Yeah, it was worth it. Even the terrible twos,” you laughed. You could feel Jake’s smile on your neck.
“It was and still is. Do you remember when she cried the first time I put her in time out? Broke my heart. Her big round eyes and her puckered lip still haunt me to this day.”
“Oh, my favorite is when she cried at the hospital when she found out Wiley was a boy and not another baby sister for her,” you laughed.
“Oh my gosh! Yeah, when I went out to go get them and tell everyone he was a boy she was not happy. But you should have seen Junie, she kept hugging and patting Vivy on the head and saying ‘its okay sissy, you still got me!’ and Vivy would just cry louder. It was the funniest thing, and I had to try so hard not to laugh at them.”
The two of you laughed some more, and you eventually turned in Jakes arms to lean your head against his chest. “Do you think we’ve given her enough time yet?”
“Yeah, do you want to lead the way or me?”
The rest of that night was spent telling Vivy the entire story and showing her the graduation announcements Amelia had sent. The three of you cried together, laughed together, and Jake reminded her that families are made up of all kinds of people and that blood relation was not a requirement. He reminded her that Uncle Danny was not his blood brother, but that he would always be in their lives. He reminded her that she may not have the same physical features as you or Jake, but that she had your heart and his amazing style (to which she fell over laughing). He reminded her that sometimes people have babies that aren’t meant to have them, and that the best thing her birth mother did for her was giving her the life she had never had. He reminded her to be grateful to Amelia, and that if she ever wanted to meet her, he would hold one hand and you would hold her other. He reminded her that she was loved, and that she would always be your first baby girl.
And he reminded you that your little family was worth everything and more.

Amanda plopped herself starfish style across her bed after finishing a relaxing shower and changing into her pjs. She reached for her phone from her nightstand, only to let out a defeated groan into her pillow when none of the notifications were the one she was hoping for.
She hadn’t heard a single word from Jeonghan since her impulsive confession she’d left him on his voicemail this morning (if that was even what he heard). Even after she left two new awkward voicemails and 3 text messages trying to redeem the damage she made.
Ring Ring Ring
Not sparing a second to check the caller id, she cheerfully answers, “Hannie?”
“Not exactly.” An unfamiliar female voice echoes through her phone.
Surprised by the voice she moved the phone away from her ear to see an unknown number on the screen. “Who is this?” Her cautious voice rang, fearing that another saesang had somehow gotten her number.
“Vivi. I am Hannie’s friend. Well I guess I should say I am one of his members.”
Amanda straightens her posture on her bed as if she was in front of her at this very moment, “Oh! Hi! Um, how did you get my number?”
“I might have gotten it from Jeonghan’s phone.” Vivi murmurs, “Sorry but I wouldn’t have it wasn’t serious.”
Registering the worry in the younger girl's voice, Amanda frowns, “Is everything okay?”
“It’s about Jeonghan.”
“Is he okay? Is he hurt?’
“He’s not hurt. I’m just worried about him.” Vivi attempts to calm her down, “Do you think you can come to our company?”
“Of course.” Amanda didn’t hesitate for a second. Even though she was worried about going to their company when not many people know about their relationships and it risks their relationship getting exposed, if Jeonghan was in trouble she would be there in a heartbeat.
“Thanks! Also, could you bring some food with you, too?”
Tumblr media
Amanda awkwardly stood in front of the staff entrance door of the new HYBE building, where Vivi instructed her to wait so she could allow her in. She couldn’t help the
“Amanda!” Amanda's eyes wanders towards the sound, spotting a girl exiting the building, waving energetically at her. Amanda waves back at Vivi though she felt like hers was way more awkward.
As Vivi approaches her, Amanda notices a taller man trailing closely behind her. As they got closer, she realized it was Seventeen’s leader.
She couldn’t help but feel a little intimidated. She had always admired S.Coups as a fan. He is an incredible leader to 12 rambunctious boys but after hearing how Jeonghan talks about him, she couldn’t help but admire him more as being a loyal and true friend.
Suddenly a thought hit her, she wasn't just meeting them as a hoobaenim and fan but as Jeonghan’s potential girlfriend. She had to make an acceptable first impression especially now that she is clear about taking the next step in her relationship with him.
Vivi beams, “It’s nice to finally meet you. I would hug you but social distance and all.”
Amanda smiles at Vivi’s affable aura that was somehow able to ease her jitters, “You too.”
“Thanks to Yuki I feel like I kind of already know you.”
“Who knew we would end up meeting without her help.”
“We should send her a pic of us together so-” Vivi was interrupted by S.Coups clearing his throat. “Ah! Sorry oppa. Amanda, this is our leader S.Coups.”
Amanda gave a polite bow. “Nice to meet you, sunbaenim.”
“Please, no need for the formalities. Just call me S.Coups.” S.Coups kindly assures her. “Thank you for coming here so late.”
“It’s totally fine. It sounded urgent. What exactly is going on?” Amanda asks the leader.
“It’s probably better to show you instead.”
Following the SVT’s oldest and youngest through the building, she kept fidgeting with her mask and pulling her hat further down to cover more of her face to prevent getting recognized.
“You don’t have to worry about being seen.” Seungcheol’s voice broke Amanda’s train of thought, “Us, Jeonghan and a few staff are the only ones here. Well and Woozi, but he probably won’t be coming out of his studio anytime soon.”
“But if you are still worried you can just say you are here to see your new friend, Vivi.” Vivi adds. Feeling assured, Amanda struts a little more confidently through the building, taking in the different features of the building.
“He’s in there.” Vivi gestures to the door where music was booming from. Amanda peeks through the glass door to spot Jeonghan dancing along to the rhythm of music. His body movements were more aggressive than the beat of music would allow and although his body looked drained, his eyes were burning with passion.
“He hasn't come out since early this morning. No break, snacks, nothing.” Vivi tells her.
“You're kidding?” She dumbfoundedly asks as the duo shook their heads. “No wonder he hasn't replied yet.” She mumbles.
S.coups raises an eyebrow, “Sorry?”
“Nothing. Um, so why is he being like this?”
“We’ve been practicing the new choreo for our comeback and Jeonghan has been struggling with it. Our dance director yelled at him. He’s being too hard on himself. He needs a distraction right now and we figured if he’s not going to listen to us or the other members, maybe he will with you.” S.coups explains.
Stunned by his words, she stammers, “M-Me?”
“You do know how much he likes you right? He never shuts up about you.” The leader exposes.
“It’s true.” Vivi chimes in, “I swear Jeonghan oppa has talked more about you in the last couple of months than Yuki has in the past 3 years. I still can’t believe the girl he had been talking nonstop about was you.”
“If you could just try for us, we would be grateful.”
Amanda nods, “But I still don’t know if it will be any help.”
“At least we can say we tried.” The leader gratefully says.
“Oh wait! I brought extra food for you too.” Amanda hands Vivi a plastic container of food from the bag. “I don’t know if you are on a diet or not-”
“Luckily, I am not, so I will enjoy it. Thank you.” Vivi graciously accepts the container.
Amanda glances at S.Coups, “I would have brought you some too if I had known you were here too.”
S.Coups fondly smiles at her thoughtfulness, “Don’t worry she will end up having leftovers for me to eat anyways.”
“Not this time. I will definitely eat all of this.” Vivi proclaims, holding the container closer to her.
S.coups scoffs, “You say that everytime.”
Vivi rolls her eyes, unable to argue back, “Fine. I guess I will give you some.”
“Thanks.” He sarcastically says.
She returns her attention back to Amanda, “I have to ask, Amanda. Why do you like Jeonghan oppa? He’s not exactly the-“
“Ignore her.” The eldest covers her mouth with his hand before she could finish destroying any kind of relationship between Jeonghan and Amanda, “Good luck. Let us know if you need anything.”
Amanda giggles as S.coups drags his younger member away. She sneaks into the dance studio. Jeonghan was so concentrated on the choreography that he didn’t even notice the girl he likes walking in.
She spots the stereo and turns the knob to the off, only for Jeonghan to whirl around and see her. He blinks a couple of times to make sure the exhaustion hadn’t made him start imagining things, “Amanda? What are you doing here?”
“Making sure you take a break.”
After hearing her voice cueing him it was really her, he didn’t waste a second as he darts towards her and envelopes her in a hug, “Did my members call you?”
She nods into the hug, “S. Coups and Vivi.”
“I guess I should thank them later.”
She pulls away and waves the bag, “I brought you some food. Care to spare me a couple of minutes?”
“Let me try one more time and then I will.” He promises.
Though she did believe he would stop like he promised, it wasn’t the answer she wanted. As a pro dancer, Amanda could tell his body wouldn't be able to handle anymore of the intense movements.
She shrugs her shoulders before sitting against the wall, “Fine. Then I’ll just stay and watch until you're ready.”
Jeonghan couldn’t ignore the scheming glint in her eyes and her nonchalant behavior, something he knew all too well. And when she began to pull out the food from the bag, his suspicions were becoming more accurate. “I thought that food was for me?”
Amanda innocently raises her eyebrows, “It will get cold waiting for you and you know I don’t like to waste food. Plus I did drive all the way here in the middle of the night so I deserve some for myself.”
Now that he got a better look at her, he could distinguish that her dyed dirty blonde hair hidden behind her cap was damp, clearly meaning she rushed over here after taking a shower without drying her hair.
A loud growling coming from his stomach, snapped him out of his thoughts. Amanda’s lips twitch at the sound, attempting to contain her laugh.
“What did you bring?” He succumbs. A satisfied smile appears on her face as she hands him some of his favorite foods.
After the two munched on their meal, they continued to rest in the dance practice room. Jeonghan's head gently laid on her lap as she mindlessly twirls strands of his light chocolate colored hair that had been dangling across her lap.
He plays around with the tips of her fingers of her free hand as he decides to ask the burning question that had been on his mind, “Why haven’t you asked me about it yet?”
“I figured you’ll tell me when you want to.”
There were a few seconds of lull before he murmurs, “I don’t want to let them down. They have been waiting for me to figure this out.”
“Hannie.” She softly gazes down into his eyes, “You are doing great and your members know that. All they want you in the best shape to perform and you can’t be in the best shape if you overwork yourself. So don’t make them worry….or me.”
Jeonghan sat up, placing an affectionate kiss on the back of her hand, “Thank you for coming and I’m sorry for making you worry.” A teasing grin emerges on his lips as whispers, “But then again, it did get you to come see me. Maybe I should make you worry more often.”
“Don’t even think about it.” Amanda lightly pushes his head back with her fingers before he could connect his lips with her, triggering the boy to sulk. “Since you’re done eating, I’ll clean this up while you go ahead and shower because no offense but you stink.” She dramatically waves her hand over her nose.
Now it was his turn to have a menacing gleam in his eyes, “Oh really?”
Wary by his expression, Amanda begins to scoot away from him, but his arm swiftly wraps around her waist and tugs her into him as he devours her face with kisses. She giggles in between while attempting to shove him away. He stops, “Be careful what you say next time.”
“I’ll think about it.” She teases.
He lets out an enamored laugh as he places one last little peck on her temple, “I’ll quickly wash up and I’ll drive you back to your dorm.”
She hums in response with a smile before he heads out the door with his things. Once he was finally out, she erupts into a little fit of giggles, “Cute.”
As she tidies up, she remembers that she has to talk to him about taking the next step in their relationship. But is now really the best time to talk about it? Though it outwardly seemed that his stress has lessened, she could tell he was still worried about his performance. But she needs to talk to him about it before he hears whatever she left on that voicemail.
The sound of the dance studio door opening, diverted her train of thought as she saw Jeonghan enter.
“If you are ready-” Her sentence was interrupted by him swallowing her up into a firm, warm embrace, nuzzling his head into her neck. Though slightly confused by his sudden action, she didn’t hesitate to wrap her arms, “What happened?”
“Nothing. I just wanted to hug you.” He mumbles into her neck.
“Okay,” She smiles as begins to stroke his hair. Her thoughts wander if now is the best time to bring it up, “Hannie.”
“Hmm?”
“I want to make things official between us.” She mustered up the courage to finally ask only for it to come out quieter than she anticipated.
He pulls away to stare at her, “What was that?”
“Nothing.” She sadly mutters with her courage depleting away.
He frowns as he tilts his head, “You sure?”
“No, actually. Hannie, I wanted to tell you that I am ready to make things official between us.” She confidently declares before flusterly re, “I-I mean, if of course you want-”
“Oh, I want to.” He clearly emphasizes as he cheekily grins, “So it’s okay to officially call you my girlfriend?”
She coyly nods, “And it’s okay to officially call you my boyfriend?”
“I would be honored.”
“Oh, I accidentally called you earlier today and left a voicemail. It basically said what I just said so you can just delete it-”
“Oh? You mean this one?” He pulls out his phone.
“I like Jeonghan….I really like him. I guess being away fro-”
Mortified, she exclaims, “You already heard it?”
“And saved it as my ringtone for you.” He amusedly adds with a devilish smirk that Amanda wanted to wholeheartedly wipe off his face.
“Give me that!” She whines as she tries to pry his phone out of his hand but ultimately  failing as his extra four inches of height and long arm made it almost impossible for her to reach it. All while the voicemail resonates throughout the dance studio and he relishes the moment.
Eventually she gives up and pouts,“I want to revoke what I said and not date you anymore.”
“Sorry, sweetie but it’s too late to go back now.”

->bonus:
Later Jeonghan enters his dorm room after dropping Amanda off, to be greeted by his fellow 95er laying on the couch, watching tv and eating as if it was his own dorm, “Welcome back.”
“In case you have forgotten, your dorm is down the hall.” He replies as takes a seat next to him.
“Thank you so much for reminding me.” S.Coups dryly says, making Jeonghan grin, “I came to make sure you actually came home. Which you have, meaning calling Amanda was the right decision.”
“I can’t thank you enough for that. Since Amanda is now my girlfriend.” Jeonghan smugly announces with a joyful smile.
S.Coups pats his back, “Congratulations!”
“Thank you.” Jeonghan glanced at the food in S.coups hand, “Did you get that food from our fridge? Because you are going to have to pay us back for it.”
“No, this is food from your girlfriend. She was kind enough to bring food for Vivi and I.”
Jeonghan smiles, “That definitely sounds like her.”
“I like her. She’s a sweet girl, so don’t ruin it.” His leader warns him.
“Promise.” Jeonghan earnestly swears.
