Ela vai contar três histórias da Ana, do Greg e do Beto que moraram na mesma casa, em tempos diferentes, que fica na cidadezinha de Lagoa Pequena.

Começando por Ana, que é uma adolescente em 2000, que sempre viveu na cidadezinha de Lagoa Pequena, mas de repente, tudo ira mudar, quando seu pai ira se mudar para a cidade de RJ.

Eu adorei a Ana, e principalmente o seu pai, como eu queria guardar ele em um potinho pra sempre!!! Como é importante ter alguém em que podemos confiar, que se importa com a nossa felicidade, como foi lindo ver esse relacionamento de pai para filha.

Intercalando, conhecemos Greg, que está passando por um momento de conflito entre seus pais que estão se separando, por esse motivo sua mãe o manda para a casa da tia que ele nunca conheceu.

Greg é um menino apaixonante, inteligente, ele me cativou!!! Foi muito bonito ver essa construção de carinho entre, tia e sobrinho, claro, com as suas particularidades, que o tornam tão encantadores!!!

Ainda intercalando, temos a história de Beto, que também está vivendo um momento complicado, pois está no meio de uma pandemia.

Nessa história que é recente, podemos ver as inseguranças do momento que Beto tem em relação ao seu futuro, e como a família pode ser um refugio nesse período complicado em que ainda estamos vivendo.

Eu favoritei esse livro com todas as minhas forças, porque eu amei muito!!! É muito interessante a forma como as histórias são contadas pela visão da casa, e é até engraçado!!! As histórias se encaixa de uma forma muito bem pensada e isso deixa ainda mais especial essa trajetória.

Se A Casa 8 Falasse aborda assuntos de representatividade, o que é sempre muito importante!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐📖

um livro muito gostosinho de ler, Vitor Martins nunca decepciona, é o segundo dele que eu leio e me fez ler em menos de 24H, não me decepcionei em nada e me vi em Felipe e um pouco no Caio também, queria poder abraçar ambos.

sou apaixonada em livros nacionais, me apaixonei mais ainda por ter festa juLina, q por incrível q pareça na minha cidade as vezes tbm é assim, já chegou até a ser agostina, talvez seja coisa de cidade pequena.

enfim, esse virou meu livro de conforto, um romance gostosinho de ler e q até me fez chorar algumas vezes, mas eu sou sensível e choro por tudo, é compreensível.

Felipe can't wait for winter break: Finally, he'll get some time away from the classmates who tease him incessantly about his weight.

But Felipe's plan turns upside down when he learns that Caio, his neighbor from apartment 57, will be staying with him for fifteen days. Which is a problem because (a) Felipe has had a crush on Caio since, well, forever; and (b) Felipe has a list of body image insecurities and absolutely NO idea how he's going to handle them while sharing a room with his lifelong crush.

Suddenly, the days that once promised rest and relaxation (and epic Netflix bingeing) are a gauntlet of every unresolved issue in Felipe's life. But if he can overcome his insecurities, then maybe - just maybe - this break won't turn out to be such a disaster after all...

Review:

This book was an absolute delight.

Felipe is such a fun narrator and so relatable, if you ever grew up being insecure about your body, the way Felipe feels and expresses himself might resonate with you. It was such a good time reading this book, and a fast read too! Once i had enough time to sit down with it, I kept turning the page until I was almost done, I read it i think it two sits downs.

It deals with serious themes like bullying, and fatphobia and homophobia, and the small parts where this issues are tackled in a serious way will make you ache for the characters, but they grow so much. It was amazing to read how in two weeks Felipe's character developed so much. If you need a quick read of something fun I would absolutely recommend you pick up this book.

My thoughts:

This was one of two queer books from Brazil recently translated and released in the US (the other is Where We Go From Here by Lucas Rocha). It sounds like a cute romance which also addresses some serious issues.
