What's funny about this is, when talking on the US context, most of us are aware of race issues in the US, at least in the basics. We are raised with US media and news, and in this context in particular in tumblr, many of us are in 'fandoms' of US media too. So even if we haven't experienced it ourselves, we understand how racism presents itself in the US and we also understand it's a very diverse country. When we see a Hollywood movie with a cast of people of many different backgrounds, it makes sense to us. The US is big and diverse.

Which is also why it's so incredibly annoying when people from the US or elsewhere have such an ignorance about Latin America, or to be fair, any other place. We wouldn't think of calling the US a "white-only" country, or to judge the ancestry someone of the US by their skin tone. They feel perfectly comfortable and willing to do that to us, though. They feel perfectly comfortable to judge entire countries by their own narrow views on race (reinforcing racism itself, by the way). The fact that Latinos have different experiences and issues with race, ancestry, nationality and identity is seemingly arcane knowledge to them. I've seen people outright deny to me the existence of black or indigenous Argentines (a tactic used by our own white supremacists, so congratulations, you two are friends now!), being completely baffled at the existence of asian or arab latinos, and pulling skin tone charts and calipers on anyone who doesn't fit the racial boxes they think apply everywhere in the world.

It's very, very hard for me to wrap my head around this. How one can be so insistent that their own country is diverse and has complex nuances with regards to race relations, and then going the other way and judging whole countries or complete strangers without any attempt at understanding them. My only suggestion is that they perhaps should stop thinking that their experiences are universal.

The existence of five pebbles implies the existence of various quantities of stones and different sizes of said stones. So here’s the question where is forty-seven mountains and where is one grain of sand? At what point do you stop calling something a rock?

The definition of stones, mountains, and sand is subjective to us the human race.

WE saw a stone. WE named it stone. WE gave stone meaning. And because WE, the human race, collectively agreed that the object is named 'stone' then we universally regard it as stone.

It was never stone to begin with. If other sentient entities were to visit us, who's to say it is stone to them? A stone could be a mountain to them, a stone could be sand to them.

So it is until every entity that regard it as rock disappears without any heir to that knowledge when we truly stop calling it a rock. It is when the last person to remember you beyond your death dies is when you truly die from this existance.

"so I am going to write this once. It might get deleted but who cares. After five months of prep to fight for a title. Around two months of prep for Le Mans. This is what we get. This was a disgrace for the Sim-racing  community and all the big brands and drivers involved. Big stutters all race. Two red flags due to ttacks you say. But then again people disconnecting, some get their laps back, some don’t! Because of this stupid four car rule. How can you even rely on rules when you can’t even control your own shit server. This is not the first time we do this. I have literally been disconnected 3 out of 4 events. You might think after the 1st or 2nd time you learn, but this is just a disaster. LeMans organization should really look at what they want moving forward because doing it on this platform is just a clown show. I am never competing again and that’s all down to your incompetence. I hope many people will follow my lead and we can build something nice somewhere else. Because all of us teams, brands and drivers deserve it."

Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, 2022. Maranello’s first concept car designed specifically for the Gran Turismo® videogame series, has been revealed. The launch of the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo brings the 75th anniversary celebrations of when the marque’s first-ever racing car, the 125 S, exited the factory gates in 1947, to an official close. The virtual racer is powered by the 120º 3-litre turbo V6 hybrid drivetrain using three electric motors with one on the rear axle and one on each of the front wheels. The ICE is tuned to produce 1030hp while the electric motors provide an additional 326hp. The Ferrari will be unveiled at the Gran Turismo World Finals in Monte-Carlo and will become available to all users of GT7 from the December 23, 2022, while a full-scale design study will be displayed in the Ferrari Museum in Maranello from December 15.
