Hi everyone! I'm a few months late to the studyblr intro party after lurking here for a while but nethertheless here it is. I am currently on semester break from university but I hope to start building this blog and creating some content related to studying and academia :)

on the special occasion of finally completing 3 years here is a lil thank you post. I started this blog back in Jan 2020 at the same time I started bujoing and decided to share my progress here as I was very inspired by the whole community and I am still touched by how welcoming and sweet everyone was to me. I have met some [hopefully] lifelong friends, had some of the best interactions and got to know the kindest people here.

Tumblr always felt like a home to me, there’s a strange comfort here, and even after 3 years the community hasn't changed much. Of course, I miss some of my beloved that aren't super active lately but just going to their accounts and revisiting the memories feels so intimate. I have sure made great memories here so just a little thank you to everyone who has ever interacted or sent me kind words with or without anon, everyone who has sent me moon pictures saying “it reminds me of you” have checked on me during exam season or left encouraging tags on reblogs, younger tumblrinas who said they want to journal like me, i truly love all of you! My askbox is always open [now with anons shjsjs] for you

if I could I'd write each of you handwritten letters and teleport there to meet even once but for now, just know that I love and adore you <3

and so the worst is over. things are lighter because consultants take early weekends. haha. but!! there are still things to do!!

earlier i had my 2nd dose of tetanus vaccine and 1st dose of MMR and i just fell asleep when i got back. this online week is so tiring!!! there are a lot of unnecessary requirements!! but!!! we push through because i don’t have a choice anyway. it’s just ironic that we are training for the most noble job in the world and we are abused, overworked, unpaid.

after my nap and afternoon class i took my husky to the groomer and had dinner with my beau while waiting. we walked around and finally settled on a new cute café. he napped while i studied respiratory physiology and ranted about how i didn’t wanna study lol.

it’s 11pm now and my groupmates and i are still doing our report for tomorrow’s admission conference. tough case 😮‍💨

i have this list of questions i thought i'd answer as captions in posts with pictures, but i always end up writing about what i've been up to, so i'll be answering 5 questions per post from now on (because the only text posts i write here are month logs). this way, you can also get to know me a little better. let's begin!

1. if you’ve chosen a major, why did you decide on it?

i'm majoring in psychology; i don't know what my minor will be since in brazil we decide that after graduating with a major. i decided to study psychology because after getting my bachelor degree with a major in design (correct me if i'm using the terms in a wrong way, cause we have a different system in my country), i was very interested in emotional design (my final project's main theme), because of the psychological perspective. i wanted it to be my minor, but instead i chose to have another major, so i could delve deeper into psychology. now i actually want to be a therapist and work with emotional design on the side

2. if you’re not currently researching, what is the topic within your field that you’re most passionate about?

i'm very interested in understanding adhd better, as well as depression, psychophysiology, the psychology of love and faith, consumerism and the effects of social media, etc

probably walden (thoreau); it changed the way i saw things, considering i always liked big cities. after reading it, i felt like i needed more time in the nature, as i understood it better. thoreau has a great way of making readers feel a connection to nature

My Comforts 💛

Comfort Movie: ooh I have a few, but I find myself going back to Hera Pheri to make myself feel better on a bad day. It's a hilarious movie.

Comfort Food: depends on the season honestly. Gajar ka Halwa in the winters, various pakodas when it's raining, stuffed paranthas with spicy curd for winter mornings. I like tiramisu and wai wai when I feel like crying. It all depends, various comfort go to foods for different situations.

Comfort Song: currently Rubaaiyan, but I think Kadam by Prateek Kuhad always gets to me <3

Comfort Clothes: it's so hot rn here so baggy everything, but something that doesn't make me look bad. Cute oversized T-shirts, baggy jeans that sinch at the waist just right, maybe a oversized plaid paired with a tank top if it's windy.

Comfort book: Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto

Comfort Game: I'm going to say Dadish, my most recent hyperfixation.
