There's someone here again on the menu. Not literally, though. How can you eat sims, if you're not Griselda or a cowplant?..

Vinyl is the kingdom's resident performer. She's more of an actress, then a bard, though (but nobody cares). She enjoys her (not very blossoming) career, writing and directing pieces at the tavern and across the kingdom.

Vinyl believes that her stage fighting skills translate to the real life. Thankfully, she never had a chance to prove it. She's also prone to get into trouble while touring; that's why she keeps spare wheels alongside her. Vinyl also believes that her and Jill the physician might be related somehow, though, there's no proof of that, for sure.

Traits: Fun-Loving, Vain, Compulsive Gambler.

Hocus is a wizard boy. He tries his best to get a membership in the Wizard Council, but these old bores just won't let him it. Instead, they send the boy on quest across time and space. What's worse, they like to pepper their monologues with some really weak jokes.

So, most of the time Hocus has to battle Griselda (still better than trying to stomach the bad puns). Sometimes it doesn't end well for him. Thankfully, a physician (Jill, exactly) lives just nearby. Really useful, indeed.

Traits: Scholarly, Eloquent, Puny.

Had to remind you that you might need "Pirates and Nobles", if you want to download these sims. But there's no need for a custom content. Also, the filenames (and sim-names) are in Russian, and I hope it won't bring some technical issues.

Photos of the Dragon Age OST vinyl booklet artwork have appeared online [source]. they were posted over on Reddit in the same thread/by the same user as the post with D'Read Koda in it (Reddit user LegendeRRisCZ17), in an update to said post.

for context, this is what we had seen previously of these art pieces, with the images being skewed and only some being in view. Twitter user Kiranox (@/veranox) was able to do some cool photo manipulation and unskew the skewed ones, but there were still images we hadn't been able to even see to try to unskew in the first place. [previous posts on these art pieces and the vinyl art in general including the cover dragon pieces, so that I'm not repeating myself supermuch in this post more than I am already: one, two, three, four]

in a previous post I wondered,

perhaps there are two pages for each PC/main game - HoF & DA:O (hence the Warden image on page 1), Hawke & DAII, and the Inquisitor & DA:I (hence the Solas Hermit symbols on page 6)? since this 'booklet’ comes with the vinyl, and the vinyl contains music from all 3 past main games

and it seems this may be the case, as here we can see:

left: Grey Warden imagery - griffon, Joining Chalice with darkspawn blood drop, sword. calls to mind sigils/heraldry of the Grey Wardens. right: this pattern resembles the map of the Fade in DA:O. - the Hero of Ferelden & Dragon Age: Origins.

left: A diving bird, bearing a resemblance to Hawke’s tarot card in DA:I. In the background the sigil looks like Kirkwall heraldry. right: this pattern brings to mind the ‘companion grid’ from Varric's book in the interrogation scenes in Dragon Age II. - the Champion of Kirkwall & Dragon Age II.

left: the iconic Inquisitor helmet, the Inquisition hairy eyeball symbol, sword. right: the 'four circles' pattern looks similar to the pattern on Solas’ Hermit Tarot card. (and in the middle is the sense once again of an eclipse - in the very center, a sun-like shape/representation of the sun. and behind that, two overlapping spheres/two shadowed spheres. like we've seen in the in-game cinematic and elsewhere) - the Inquisitor and Dragon Age: Inquisition.

as for the shattering eluvian image (and the two images of dragons from the covers), I talked about them here and here so I won't repeat myself. but I guess this one represents some of the story of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. makes sense, there's a disc of DA:O music, a disc of DAII music, a disc of DA:I music, and then on the last disc it's bonus dlc tracks and bard songs from DA:I, but the last one is the one with D'Read Koda, so functionally it could be seen as a 'DA:D disc'.

the images also confirm what was written in the Reddit post before about Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe and the track called D'Read Koda.

This headcanon has a decent sized lead in to explain it and its really silly in the end, so bear with me. (It also might be a bit all over the place because I'm trying to bang this out quickly becore I have to go, lol)

Zhongli being immortal means that he is a very patient man(Dragon? Dragon.) dispite the ferocity and feral tendency of his youth. So when he meets Childe for the first time and realizes that, yes, this is the man he wants to spend his days with, he's probably hoping that his immortality will end when he forks over his gnosis.

Unfortunately for poor Zhongli, it doesn't, and while he has the time that he craved for with Childe, his darling love is only mortal. But this is Tayvat, where all the world is a stage and the actors will always be called back time and time again for the rolls they have to play, so all Zhongli really needs to do is wait.

It's painful. So painful. Everytime his heart leaves him he's forced to pause and wallow in his own loneliness while waiting for the cycle of things to restart. The first few times really nearly broke him.

But, after a while, he would be able to start looking forward to running into his baobai again and especially looking forward to seeing what trouble Childe manages to get into in this new life.

Of course, Zhongli cannot maintain his position as funeral consultant for too long. People might start to get suspicious when a man claiming to be a fellow mortal doesn't age. He has to switch things up from time to time. And if, in that switching up, he learns how to put himself in the best positions possible to interact with Childe intimately on this new stage, well nobody is going to call him out on his schemes.

On top of this, Zhongli might have stepped down as The Lord of Geo, but he is still The Prime Adepti no matter what he does. So sometimes he...invites his fellow adepti into his new schemes.

Now, they aren't always completely fresh ideas. He's been a professor several times (not just because he loves the way Childe jokingly called him that in their first life together all those years ago), a member of the millelith in various positions a few times, a boss of a (shall we say) family twice, an artist several times, a champion fighter, an underground fighter, a historical advisor, a museum curator, a librarian, and (much to Venti's loud and cackling amusement) a bard/poet three times.

When times start to shift and things change, he learns new hats too. Joining Venti in learning how to fly planes is always a memory he'll hold as guilded gold (though he can never quite tell if it's out of fondness or from pure frustration). The invention on the internet and watching the subsequent changes from that has been fascinating.

But through it all, every passing of every year, he’s always doing it for Childe. He loves seeing the new ways the younger man will come waltzing into his life. He dreads the days when Childe inevitably has to bow out of it too.

So it goes without saying that Zhongli hoards Childe's time as all these years pass. Hoards away Childe's opinions on the times they live in like their gospel. Hoards Childe's things for him in carefully preserved, neatly arranged rows.

The one thing he can't ever seem to get enough of is the music that Childe brings with him. Zhongli can mark memories to songs that Childe sung along to or hummed the tune of while cooking. He can mark eras and areas by the style and tempo to which Childe swung his hips and laughed to.

Zhongli cannot begin to count the pieces of music that he keeps stored in his hoard, some of it so old that the notes on the yellowed pages haven't been heard by mortal ear for eons. Zhongli was extatic when they came out with vinyl records. Cassettes were even better becuasethey were smaller and took up less space. And then they came out with CDs and Zhongli had to commend mortals for the wonders of their minds. He lost his fucking mind when the first digital music players became avaliable (and then discovered, to his frustration, that the little devices could only hold so much data. He got happier with them as they advanced.)

So when Childe walks back into his life, Zhongli is always excited to reintroduce him to all of his past live's favorites and then show him all the songs Zhongli has been listening to in the mean time. No matter what hat the two of them are wearing in this fresh start, weather it be cop and robber, student and teacher, or fighter to fighter, Zhongli herds them both into a comfortable space with a music player and plays music while he re-bonds with his beloved again.

All of this to say this: This latest reincarnation of Childe, if he was born in the later parts of the 90s/the early parts of the 2000s would have quite a few opinions on music when sitting down with Zhongli. And Zhongli, who does his best but has never really kept up with the more petty tendencies of mortals would very unironically love some music that Childe might have gotten negative opinions about from growing up in the times that he did.

Here's the thing, when Childe's at home, he has his younger siblings, and for a while he was the younger sibling, so most of what he listens to is clean for kids. (I'm sure mans has most of the Tayvat equivalent to Disney memorized at this point.) He's also a workaholic (as evidenced by the fact that The Knave said he was supposed to be on vacation in Fontaine, but when we meet up with him again he's literally out working for the branch of Northland Bank in the area) So if someone on the internet says a band is cheesy, unless he wants to use up his scant little bit of personal time to check it out, he usually just has to take them at thier word. It probably fits that in this life, he works as a Northland Bank official (and sometimes participates in the particular brand of dept collection all Snezhnayan banks are known for)

Here's the other thing, Zhongli is a fan of rock and roll music, as evidenced by Xinyan's voice line about him (if you know you know. If you don't, go look it up it's fucking hilarious. All the headcanons about Zhongli, the god of rocks, loving rock music give me life and I love the little but of crumblike evidence for it) and is probably thrilled to listen to the way its changed and evolved over the years. He's also thrilled with the way its grown in popularity! I think in this life he probably decided to take it easy and fall back into one of his old roles. It probably helps that the new director of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor reminds him so much of her ancestor.

So, when Zhongli and Childe sit down, Zhongli will definitely just start playing the music. Childe will probably listen to the lyrics first (as an elder sibling gaging if something is appropriate for the younger ones might). Now, the song that Zhongli is showing him right now is not appropriate for his siblings, but Childe like it alot.

Curious, he asks Zhongli what the name of the band is. Imagine Childe's face when Zhongli replies, unironically and happily, Nickelback. Imagine Childe's internal struggle when he realizes he really likes Nickelback dispite everything he's read on the internet dissing them (for no reason). Imagine the blush on Childe's face when he hears some of the things described in those songs coming off of the elegant funeral consultant's lips (low key imagining them doing some of those things together( the song 'animals' comes to mind )

In short, Zhongli would unironically like Nickelback and would make Childe like them too. Childe would not know what that.

Today I will be introducing my latest project I've been working called Variations of Dove. It's basically Dove but she is in a different fandom and there's a lot of fandoms that I'm in so we'll just go straight into it-

Starting off we have No Straight Roads Dove, who is a 25 year old ballet dancer to moved to Vinyl City after the Music Revolution and currently resides in the Natura District. She has a crush on Zuke-

Balan Wonderworld Dove is known as the Maestro of Wonder and was once an inhabitant long ago. She is love with Balan and wishes to impress him with her magical abilities.

Hifi Rush Dove may be wheelchair bound but that won't stop her from helping in anyway she can in taking down Vandelay Co with her friends. She is mainly fond of Chai since she likes him as more than just a friend...

Dove's abilities as a powerful physic has certainly caught the attention of the Psychonauts and they seek to recruit her. Her powers are precognition, psychometry, psychic reading, and astral projection.

Shortly after the overblotting incident involving Jamil, Dove was transferred from her all girls school to Night Raven College in a deal arranged by her father, Kalim's father, Jamil's parents, and the Headmaster. As a shy first year student, Dove slowly starts to find confidence in herself and develops feelings for her dorm leader Kalim...

Princess Dove is the ruler of the realm of Lan di Journ and as her title states she loves being an artist and enjoys painting any beautiful scenery. If she is not chosen as the player's queen then she will marry Ramone the Bard Prince instead.

Dove was born 10 years later after the birth of the 43 children on October 1st 1989, but she was able to become the Divine Servant of the 7 Gods who rule the world. In exchange for Dove's servitude and loyalty, Mother Earth and the 6 other gods crafted the Crown using a fraction of their powers which once placed on Dove's head gave her the power to see the past, present, and future which upon touching an object she will see everything that the Gods desire to know...

Hearts and Heroes Dove joined the Hub in the events after Pax East, and became a very powerful Light Mage as she went on missions to save those trapped in their nightmares.

Dove moved to Stardew Valley and settled in her grandfather's old farm in Pelican Town and quickly got the hang of farming and raising her favorite animals: chickens. Eventually Dove would marry Sam and bring him to her home to start their family and raise more chickens.

Long ago the 4 clans of the Utau Trolls were at war since the Emperor had died without an heir. This war however awoke a very dangerous monster with a hunger to eat the Utau Trolls, but just when all hope was lost, Hato sang a lullaby to seal the monster away and put it back in it's deep slumber, saving the entire race of the Utau Trolls. Because she had saved them, the Utau Trolls crowned her as their Empress, and thus started the royal bloodline that has ruled since then. Princess Roa is Hato's great x5 granddaughter and will soon become the next Empress...

After Business Hours with Diluc (SFW)

(i wrote in on a diluc sings sway video in youtube but accidentally deleted it when editing...)

You swirled the glass of dandelion wine as you gazed down on Diluc, silently cleaning the bar as more and more people began to leave the tavern. You know that the redhead could feel your stare, evident in his rigid stature, shoulders tense and brows slightly furrowed.

A chuckle left your lips. It was always quite a delightful pastime for you to be here in Angel's Share, mingling with the townspeople of Mondstat while having a taste of the finest wines out there. Plus, who wouldn't want to be in the presence of the one and only Diluc Ragnvindr.

The tavern fell silent once the last customer left. the lingering smell of dandelion wine was strong, feeling your insides and clouding your already hazy mind. Sipping the last drop from your glass, you stood up, the floor creaking underneath your weight. This caught the redhead's attention, locking eyes with yours.

"As usual, you're still here," he sighed, gently placing down the utensils he was once holding.

"Why, of course," you chuckled, leaning against the wooden railings. "After all, I might be the only person ever so willing to accompany you, Master Diluc~"

At first, he didn't say anything, only tending to the wine collection behind him. You continued to lean forward, half your body already too far from your centre of gravity. "Don't do that," he ordered, continuing his chore. "You might fall and hurt yourself."

The tone of his voice was firm, but you could hear a twinge of concern laced within it.

You hummed, not heeding his words. It might be the alcohol's effect on you but you felt light as a feather, air playfully gazing at your skin, making you shudder from the cold. As if magic happened, you felt arms wrap around you. A smooth texture of silk and warmth enveloped you as you blinked away the haziness.

"You never do listen, do you?" Diluc's voice rang close, his breath kissing your ears and neck.

Ah, I fell, you finally concluded, seeing yourself in the arms of the redhead, his face gazing down at you.

You merely smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck. He stilled for a moment, before relaxing his entire body. "Why should I when I know you'll always catch me," you murmured, leaning your cheek on his chest, your body becoming at ease when you heard the thumping of his heart. "Oh and for the record, I'm not drunk."

"You fell from the second floor."

"I'm not that drunk, then."

He chuckled, vibrations from his chest making you smile. He walked to the bar and slowly sat you in the high chair. You whined from the lack of warmth and your eyes landed on something behind him. There, at the far end corner of the tavern was a phonograph.

If your memory serves you correctly, it was newly invited some time ago and Diluc had bought one directly from the original creator. Beside the phonograph was a small table with a box full of vinyl. Bards, mainly venti, would use it as background music with their preferred instrument.

Diluc, seeing as you weren't looking at him, followed your gaze. A small smile etched his lips once he realized what you were looking for. "Quite a shame we weren't able to use it tonight," he said, "I brought one of my favourites vinyl to play but the bard wanted to sing traditionally."

Your attention shifted to him once you registered what he just said. "Really now, Master Diluc?" you purred, crossing your legs and leaning your head on your palm. "The night's still young! let's have some fun—I could certainly go for another glass of dandelion wine. why not play it? I'm quite curious about what your taste in music is."

"You already have your fair share of it," he stated, walking to the corner and picking up a vinyl from the box. "But, I suppose I could entertain your neverending energy."

You swore he looked at you in a teasing manner, eyes closed and a smirk on his face.

But you didn't have the time to analyze it as he placed the vinyl on the phonograph, putting the needle on it. Immediately, a piece of almost festive music rang, filling in the silence in the tavern. Numerous sounds of instruments danced across the air, making you giddy and excited.

"I never peg you to enjoy this type of music, Master Diluc," you confessed, watching Diluc as he went to where you were seated, "I must say, I'm delightfully surprised."

"I'm glad it satisfied your curiosity," he softly laughed, running his fingers through his loose hair. He then offered a hand towards you, a smirk etching itself on his lips.

You rose a brow at him, intrigued. "Oho? is the great Master Diluc asking me for a dance?" you teased.

"I did promise to entertain you tonight," he hummed, taking a hold of your hand and gently pulling you to his chest. "So then, care to sway with me, darling?"

“Okay, so, wait, you’re a bard?”

Eddie huffs, grabbing one of the light timber desks in their history classroom to shove up against another while Robin starts scattering tower candles fresh out of his backpack. Which is, y’know. Weird. In itself. Like, fuck, the only person he’s ever let go through his shit unsupervised was Nate (not for Henderson’s lack of trying, that’s for sure), and that’s because Nate’s his number two, and everyone in The Hellfire Club knows it. Still, desperate times call for desperate measures, he thinks, eyeballing Robin as she drops a candle in front of an open window.

“There? Seriously?” he says, reaching sideways to grab another desk. “I failed physics twice, and even I know that like - - airflow - - blows a flame out.”

For a second, Robin gawks, turning back to the window then back to him, before throwing a hand out in exasperation while snatching the candle with the other.

“Sorry that I’m not setting up your satanic death cult game’s night to standard. Way to avoid the question too, by the way.”

Eddie rolls his eyes, butting the desk up against the other with his hip and taking a step back to consider it. It should fit everyone, he thinks, counting the players in his head. With Will and now, apparently Robin in the room (for some reason? She insists she’s not playing) - - it’s the most members since Eddie’s sophomore year back when Rick was still DM.

“What question?”

“That you’re a bard?”

“I’m a dungeon master, I was a bard.”

She blinks at him, squints a little, like she’s making an assessment, and Eddie squares his shoulders, used to the scrutiny, and strides back to the crappy cardboard box he lugs his shit around in. He grabs the heavy black sheet Garth’s cousin hooked them up with and throws it across the desks, coughing a little at the musty smell that billows out of it. He really should wash it or at least like. Air it out sometime.

“Huh,” she says, and Eddie glances back up at her.

“What?”

“I don’t know,” she puts the candle on the top of the short bookshelf instead. “I always thought this stupid game was about delusional male fantasy, so you’d be a knight or a werewolf or something. Bard seems kinda…”

Robin makes a vague gesture with her hand, walking back to the box for more candles, and Eddie leans over the desks, smoothing out a few creases in the makeshift tablecloth.

“I am in a band.”

“No shit,” she snorts, rifling through the box. “And like. So am I, I get the whole music thing.”

Which - -

Eddie pulls a face, glancing back over his shoulder at her.

“Uh, okay, for the record, the fact that you’d equate Corroded Coffin with school band is insane,” he says, and Robin’s lip curls as she looks up at him from her crouch.

“Uh, okay, well, for the record, you’re an asshole,” she says. “And why do you have all this hair in here?”

And the thing is, before he can reply to tell her it’s a fur offcut for the theater of it all, not hair, he hears it.

The doors to the corridor opening and a flurry of sneakers squeaking on vinyl, of high, girlish laughter, of bubbling chatter, and he can pick it out instantly. Pick Chrissy out instantly, not quiet like she was on the phone last night (this morning?), hushed not to be heard, her voice a little hoarse with a fractured night’s sleep, soft in a way he doesn’t think he’ll ever be used to, talking about Dragonslayer and geminis - - and no. She’s not like that.

Right now, her voice is a flint spark of energy. The part of her that he thinks she can switch on and off, bright and easy, breezy, like she’d light every candle in this room with just a word or a thought, and that doesn’t even make sense, but his mouth is suddenly dry, his hands clammy, even as the girls pass the history classroom for the gym, and his gaze darts up as Robin rounds the table again with extra candles and he just really, really hopes she hasn’t noticed.

Spacelab9 have revealed more details about the upcoming Dragon Age Vinyl box set. (It's a 70 track collection which will include songs from DA:O, DAII, DA:I, DLC and also some DA:I bard songs.)

I found this new info blurb about the cover art really interesting 👁️ (emphasis mine):

Deluxe package features all-original artwork by Dragon Age Concept Director Ramil Sunga and Lead UX Artist Danny Richardson, created exclusively for this album set. The beautifully detailed artwork presents a pictorial timeline following the lore of the Dragon Age series, beginning at the dawn of the Golden City, throughout the City's Fall and culminating in its re-emergence as the Black City, seat of the Old Gods. hello??? (the announcement blogpost for the vinyl contained the flavor text "From the land of Thedas, at the dawn of the Golden City".)

they also announced that the pre-sale for the box set was scheduled to begin April 27th (can't see it atm unless I'm missing it, maybe it's not yet started?) and that on the BioWare Gear Store it will begin on May 10th. each outlet will offer their own exclusive color variant of the vinyl.
