Had an unusual commission piece recently! Someone wanted their throwing axe made pink and Viking-y with a new leather sheath. So I whipped out the pyrography kit and did this free hand over the course of a couple of lunch times at work 😁 Customer was super happy and so was I!

Here’s another opportunity to get into an Undiscovered Classic! This 1952 Skorpion is currently for sale on Facebook Marketplace by seller Tomo Bullum in Redondo Beach, CA. The Skorpion is one of four fiberglass cars that debuted at the “big bang” of fiberglass at the 1952 Petersen Motorama. Info from the listing: One of only 28 ever made, looks like a Disneyland Autopia car, but this one is bigger and for real use on the street. The Skorpion was a fiberglass body created to fit on an existing car chassis, most notably, as is this case, with a Crosley. They came with a variety of different engine combinations. These bodies were produced as plastic by Viking-Craft in Anaheim, Californa with the later style rare hinged truck, this may even be a Super Skorpion, which would make it one of only a handful in existance. This is an older restoration with a wonderful period interior. Since there is no drivetrain, you can power this car any way you wish.....gas, electirc, hydrogen, cng etc. Amazing solid condition and very complete. add your choice of engine/trans and go!!
