She stalks him through the halls of the Unrolling Scroll, its white marble gleaming even in moonlight, its gold leaf, the gentle babble of the fountains. She is light of foot, she is shadowed, but he knows what to look for. The flash of a reflection in the water. A giveaway scent of something older than these halls. The occasional excitement of her breath when she gets too close.

She stalks him, takes away paths through, and traps him, gods damn her. He knows this place intimately, he has planned and surveyed and it should not be this easy, but she is all instinct and knows how to anticipate his moves before he has even thought of them. A pure, primal weapon, beyond anything he could ever hope to build.

Its weight means so much to me that I spend my days writing stories where Zack & Sephiroth’s friendship never has to break, and that it’s strong enough to survive through everything at Nibelheim. ‘Cause hey, even if you think your mumsy’s an alien, or that you were part of a gene splicing Rob Zombie flick, or even if your old not-friend’s taunting you about being a monster, all of that’s nothing! Nothing! Nothing but a sneeze in the wind when you got somebody by your side who loves ya anyway. Someone who’s grief you share, who’s loyal till the end, and who’s name is actually not stripped from a mistranslated Greek myth! (Jk ofc I love everyone’s unique names.)

Remember when I said Eddie loves scary movies while Steve despises them?

Well this time Steve loves Christmas movies an Eddie hates them with a burning passion. When Christmas comes around Steve has a closet full of ugly sweaters that he forces Eddie to wear, loads of Christmas decorations, and the biggest Christmas tree that Hawkins has ever seen. Eddie doesn’t like the caroling that happens outside of his door but Steve loves every second of it.

Anything Christmas related Steve is already on board with it, Eddie on the other hand wishes December would end as soon as possible.
