I'm very normal #my art #some of them have alt descriptions in case you're curious #yep Sierra at one point (she didn't have a name yet until months later) was a black brown and gold Mesa Prime and had “normal” human eyes #and it carried over once the base mesa design grew on me but it felt weird putting them on top of the bandana #given the original intent behind it #so I played around with it till it became the 3-eyed design it is rn #i'm torn between the bottom middle and bottom right #some of these drawings were definitely not included to show all the pictures in 3's :3 #lotsa wips here #would you guys like me to post some of these older ones? even if I find them kinda crappy/incomplete #also ngl I should really vary my lighting setups more... apparently I use the same light beige bg a lot #imagine drawing chars consistently. cant be me #i'm happy to have drawn so much because of this rascal though #fun fact the “eyes” on her bandana are just external neuroptics #her real one is found underneath like umbra's sunder helm

The Golden Light

Suddenly the sound detector picked up on a low frequency. Jamie's eyes widened. Something was coming directly towards him – and coming fast. "Oh gods, oh gods, uh." Jamie's hands fluttered in the air. He wasn’t wearing Frostbiter's bracelet. He didn't know whether to reach for his camera, or grab his gear and bolt, or lie down and give up, and his window of opportunity was closing by the second. The entity decided for him, picking up speed as it barrelled straight at him. Camera it was then. If he was going to die, then he would die vindicated.

Carny voice: Get ya OTNWAS Spinoff Ghost-Hunter Jamie one-shot here! We got ya ghost hunting shenanigans, we got ya 18 year old Jamie being a badass, we got ya healthy dose of Hijack. We even got a Percy Jackson-esque fight! But most importantly, we have a story about two big brothers and their little light.

This fic started off jokey-jokey but quickly ran away from me and got really sentimental. And long. I'm happy with how it turned out! I highly recommend that you read OTNWAS ahead of this, but it should be accessible to new readers too! Thank you to @jjackfrost for writing the OG parent fic, beta-ing, and helping patching up that massive plot hole! And a huge thank you to @destinyisagift for your incredible design and headcanons for Jamie’s "Frosbiter” sword!

I've been re-reading @anbu-legacy and decided to do some doodles while I go :)

This set is all from the "ANBU Trials" arc. There is one doodle per chapter, and some random ones thrown in there for fun. I wanted to add something that either made me laugh or thought would be fun to illustrate.

I would highly recommend reading Legacy if you are 18+! It is very good and the writers are amazing!

1. friendly and sociable

2. good at, and desirous of, ‘fitting in’/‘belonging’ socioculturally/as part of groups

3. it is not mechanically or culturally particularly geared towards playing a ‘Nerd archetype’ such as a Scientist; rather its mechanics easily make for a good (somewhat unusual) combat build.

#but yeah it’s literally designed as a) one of iirc just 2 ways to play an alien that don’t involve face paint or a mask #and species description notes their very sharp senses which can be damaged or caused pain by stimulus within normal tolerances for others #so they’ll often wear protective gear such as ear defenders; sun shades; masks to cope with smells etc #the combat build is a light to no armour highly mobile front line fighter #you can’t disable its limbs it keeps regenerating and it resists movement-arresting special weapon effects IF it is already moving

You've never seen snow before?? Coming from a 907 area code, i think you nailed cold down pact. I don't think i could describe like a beach or something. Do you have resources that help you describe weather you are not familiar with?

Never seen snow! Okay no well I've seen it from a distance in a plane on a mountain, and I saw it from a distance once in the UK on a mountain, lol.

But up until those points, I hadn't even seen it on mountains up until my mid-30s.

As for resources, they're honestly kind of like "the same" as they are for everyone else - the internet, TV, books, etc. I say "the same" because not everyone knows how to research? But I enjoy researching stuff, and I like recreating the sense of things.

But I always did find it amusing that you know the first two really long fanfics I wrote on this site heavily feature snow, snowing, ice, blizzards, ice powers, cold temperatures and so on and meanwhile the place I live hasn't seen snow since like the dinosaurs. :D

We always talk about how Kaz in some ways sees Wylan as a younger version of himself, but I feel like we never really acknowledge that he basically ends up looking after Wylan the way he wished Jordie had protected him.
