Confession: Varsh Ko'kuu isn't talked about nearly enough for my liking. Yall wanna praise dilfs but look over the only dilf in the entire crèche who is literally putting not just his job but his life on the line in a literal war cult lead by a tyrannical lich to save one egg and give it a fighting chance. That man deserves the sloppiest head in the universe and i will GLADLY give it to him

the greetings for the new year ; may you be in good health, and live beyond a 100 'sharad' times .. sharad is 'शरद ऋतु ' the season between the Summer and Winter months - also expressed as 'patjhar' पतझड़ .. pat is leaves, jhar is the discard of leaves - the time of year expressed as Fall .. when the leaves fall off the branches of trees ... so may you continue to live for a 100 Fall seasons .. and may we receive your blessings and your enthusiasm ..

Tumblr media Tumblr media
In time all the efforts to keep the cheer , to excite the company with screams of joy and excitement , fade away ..
the joy of all else divides itself between what was and what could , to so what .. yes so what if there was merriment and celebration .. I refrain .. so ..
and life lives another day .. in different time zones ..
Giving be the attainment in the days of today and ever .. when you give, when you retract what was in traction, when the what had been becomes what is now .. then doth the circle of life explode in the wellness and the nobility of holding the hands that could have travelled along with us ..
No .. do not talk of it or succumb to its wares .. leave it in the silence .. it shall speak or it shall fade away .. if it speaks listen but do not indulge .. if it fades away, do not be in wonder where it went .. for if you were to find it , you would in all probability be subjected to the routine again .. and the endlessness is prohibitive ..
in time then for the DAY of the morrow ..
The first day of the new - January 1, 2024
My love 😍

Wait, explain your gith babies headcanon please. It sounds intriguing and I would like to know more (I completely forgot about githyanki being hatched from eggs. It never made sense to me tbh). Info-dump if you want, I would love to read your thoughts.
Unrelated but what is breed of wolf is werewolf!shadowheart? Is she a timber wolf? A coyote? Some other wolf breed I'm forgetting? (I like the concept of her being a werewolf, the irony is wonderful!)
My headcanon is basically that Gith babies start manifesting their psionic abilities in the later half of their incubation. It's untrained and they aren’t really fully formed enough to do anything with it so it just kind of reaches out and vaguely feels into the minds of people near it. Like I said in the other post they can use this to take in minor physical features, but I imagine its mostly used by a Varsh to instill names, voices, faces, and doctrines that would be useful when they hatch (I also imagine gith babes hatch closer to a 1-2yo than a human newborn) So when they do hatch they already feel a kinship with their caretaker bc they’ve been ‘talking’ to them since before they hatched and are already somewhat acquainted with the area they’ve been born into helping alleviate them of some of the disorientation of, y’know, being a baby
On the topic of werewolf Shadowheart, I've always gone with werewolves being their own ‘type’ of wolf. Not any one particular species but an amalgamation of wolves in general and their additional human features. They may have similar fur patterns but thats more a coincidence

Oh, to talk about Gith culture and socialization, I shall gladly run my mouth.
Okay theory time.
Since Githyanki are militaristic and the majority of their current culture is just catered towards a lich queen's need for strong souls. They probably don't touch that much, and it makes so much sense.
Vlaakith most likely views interpersonal relationships as road blocks for her conveyor belt of souls, things that weaken her feast and taint possible strong individuals with weakness. So, touch outside of combat is discouraged if not outright banned.
However, there are some roles in githyanki culture that have permission due to the nature of the station; Varshs and Ghustils
Varshs have to have contact to ensure that all hatchlings are healthy and intact. I'm sure being born in an egg causes gith to emerge slightly more advanced than a human newborn, but a baby is still a baby.
Varshs are the first set of gentle hands a gith will feel in life, and the last, right before a gith enters their basic training.
Gith may not know what Mommy/Daddy issues are, but they definitely know what Varsh issues are.
Ghustil are slightly different, but the same sentiment still stands. They are set of hands roaming your body to assess damage, rub salves into your bruises, and most likely the only time a gith gets one on one time alone with someone.
So, of course their gonna memorize every detail down to a t.
Savor every firm hand that holds you down as they set your bones in place, squirm at every praise for staying still for an examination, and view every steady sitch as a kiss.
Medical kink is probably everywhere in gith culture, much to some Ghustils dismay.
So every time Lae'zel calls a Tav/Durge Ghustil or Khal'ian calls Jaheira Varsh, it means very different things to them besides roles/titles.
They also have a truce not to tell others those meanings
I love this
Especially varsh issues instead of mommy/daddy issues. Because sure, funny meme haha, but also, it removes the need misogyny subtext of it! It's just one parent now who is called "caretaker," making them both equal and the same instead of enforcing gender roles on them.
Like all varsh hug and protect their young regardless of gender, all varsh are given the same creditablity and respect. Githyanki are really miles ahead of humanity in these things, how refreshingly inclusive and non narrow minded they can be when it comes to this.
There are no gender roles, and there are no divide or job biases. Everyone can be a capable soldier, everyone can be a medic, and everyone can be a varsh.
Lae'zel and Khal'ian must feel confused when people in faerun treat them differently based on their gender or assume different things on them.
Or how when Lae'zel brings up ghustil around non-gith, they assume it's a man. Khal'ian bringing up his varsh and people immediately assuming it's a woman, even when the gith creche we encounter had a male varsh.
They'd also be confused by the gender separation in clothed, all gith wore the same armour, all gith had the same clothes. Why are these ones okay for one gender but not the other? How can you even gender clothes.
I think this came to be in their culture because mindflayers don't have genders, and githyanki got so used to dealing with them that they completely abolished all gender roles they might have ever had.
-
But anyway yeah back to the kink part.
The only other time where they get touched besides at the medic bay and caretaker is during training.
They'd probably have a teacher kink too ngl- they way they feel their teaches eyes on them, sizing them up, manhandling them into the correct position, whispering orders in their ears.
Slipping up during training and having their teacher bark at them to go to the medical bay. Knowing another set of hands will be touching them on the examination bed.
Soft curious touches that suddenly turn rough to feel up any bruises, the cold feeling of rubber gloves sending goosebumps on their skin, the disinterested look of the ghustil as they tell them to strip to their underwear and stay still while reading a healing salve they'll be rubbing into them.
By the time they're done and they get left neglected on the table afterwards, a varsh enters the room with a baby in their arms. Telling the ghustil about suspecting a fever as they gently cradle them.
It's not their old varsh, this one is only a decade or so older than them but fuck seeing someone preforming the same role makes them feel an unexplainable feeling.
The varsh's eyes meet them, and a wave of nostalgia and comfort suddenly hits them. They want to be hugged and held, comforted, and cared for like before, but they know they can't be weak.
But then the stranger varsh steps in front of their laying form, putting a hand on their forehead and checking on them. Murmuring about how they're burning up, maybe a fever is going around the creche.
And it's the most tender touch they have ever felt before it too is gone.

Had a Random Burst of Inspiration
I'm not sure if anything will actually come of this, but I wrote a bit of Turlough being a big brother to Adric and thinking about how they both have nightmares. This isn't anything like a complete story, even a short one, but I've been having writer's block for nearly a month now and I'm just excited that I created something.
CW: Turlough remembers being branded with the Misos Triangle, and the same thing happening to a literal infant. Nothing graphic, but it's mentioned, so now you know. There's also some talk about what happened to Adric in Castrovalva, so the word "torture" is used.
Adric was afraid of the Master. Of course, they all were, to some extent. Turlough found him more irritating than anything else. He usually just let the Doctor handle him and stayed out of the way. But, the other companions had a different perspective. To Tegan, this was the man who randomly murdered her aunt. To Nyssa, this was an evil being walking around inside her father’s corpse. And to Adric, this was a monster who kidnapped and tortured him to make him a weapon to use against the Doctor.
Nyssa and Tegan didn’t talk to him about their problems. They had each other and Turlough wasn’t about to stand in the middle of whatever they had. But when Adric had nightmares, he woke him up. They only shared a room because there were only so many bedrooms close to the console room and the Doctor didn’t want them getting lost. Honestly, they only shared the room around half the time anyway, with Turlough spending more and more time in the Doctor’s bed. But, on the nights they were sharing a room, sometimes Adric would wake up thrashing and muttering refusals. He wouldn’t obey the Master. He wouldn’t betray the Doctor. Turlough would crawl out of his own bed to wake him up, rescuing him from his own mind. He’d try to soothe him, though he had no idea how to do that. It was exhausting. He often fell asleep in Adric’s bed next to him, as if his physical presence could keep the bad dreams away.
Turlough knew what it was like to have nightmares, and to be tormented by some evil thing that wanted the Doctor dead. He never bothered Adric about them. There was nothing the kid could do. Anyway, Adric could sleep through basically anything. He never had to know. Even though he knew things about him that no one else in the TARDIS did. He knew that he’d had a family once. A mother, a father, brothers, sisters. He had no idea what happened to most of them. He knew his mother was dead. He’d been there when it happened. His older brothers and sisters ran away after that and he never saw them again. They were probably dead too. As for his father and younger brother…
Those were the worst nightmares. Worse than the Black Guardian, worse than the bullies at Brendon, worse than the battles, even worse than that day at the academy where he is mother died in from of him. It was those screams. Some nobody who called himself a judge reading out sentences of death and exile with no emotion in his voice. The smirks of the Custodians as the prisoners were paraded in front of them and strapped down. It was bad enough when they branded him. It was bad enough when they branded his father, who put on such a brave face for his children. But Malkon…he wasn’t even a year old. He had no idea what was happening. He was just suddenly yanked from his father’s arms and burned with a hot iron. Those screams…
Based on Trion maturation rates, Malkon would look around Adric’s age now. Maybe that’s why Turlough felt like he had to watch over him. He also knew that Adric had had a brother once, one that would be around Turlough’s age. They grew up without parents, so this brother, Varsh, was all he had.
Adric saw Varsh die in front of him like Turlough watched his mother be gunned down. They both understood what it meant to watch the person who’d kept them safe become a pale corpse in front of their eyes. Turlough was fortunate enough that when his mother died, he could run to his father, even if he didn’t do much to comfort him. Adric ran to the Doctor. He’d only just met him, and he wasn’t any better than Turlough’s father when it came to comfort. Turlough suspected that the incarnation of the Doctor he knew was even worse than the one before him in that regard. Though, he’d gotten better. At least, Turlough didn’t feel as bad about his nightmares when he woke up next to him.

think one of the reasons that i am thinking very hard about joey votto kissing jays, besides the obvious "it's joey fucking votto, franchise-defining player at the twilight of his career dealing with playing somewhere else for the first time ever/the Canadian Baseball loadedness of it all/quirky king who gets a little sillay with it" is like. the way he talks about - relishes, almost - having to build his way back up from the minors and going into things with no expectations but also the agonizingly clear energy of a man who wants to be helpful wherever they may use him? the service top of it all... free to a good home... put him to use (sirens blaring) gausman's (train whistle). also i love everything about varsho and joey's 4th dimensional chess dyed-wool maybe-flirting. you'll get there someday, varsh. /joey jaykissin' anon
Major league vets in the minor leagues are endlessly fascinating to me...not trying to like make this abt hockey at all, but just from being a person who pays a lot of close attention to minor league hockey and had a LOT of major league vets on my minor league team this year, at least in hockey it's always like...there's so much drive to get back to the majors but they are Not Allowed to have an ego about being the minor leagues or like act like they're too good to be there bc that's a sign that you don't have the work ethic and the right attitude to deserve to get back to the majors? Like you gotta earn your way back. And so at least on my team this year there were a lot of quietly but visibly miserable major league vets who also were like holding the team together due to their skill and work ethic but you would never hear them complain bc the minute they complain about being in the minors in plain terms, they get their hopes of returning to the majors absolutely crushed.
And idk if it is the same in baseball bc generally you are allowed to have more of an ego in baseball lol, but I imagine there's an element of that for Votto like....you gotta earn your way back! You gotta be so good or so useful to the org that they call you up over a hot prospect, and you gotta make yourself indispensable so that they keep you up! And for Votto as a franchise-defining player whose career is winding down, a lot of how he is going to earn it is by trying to figure out how he can make himself so vital to the life of the org that it becomes impossible for them to ignore him and then to send him down. Like if you're in the twilight years of your career and your body isn't what it used to be and it isn't as consistently reliable for a high level athlete, I think a lot of what Votto is going to have to do IS figure out how to make himself so useful that they can't ignore him.
Which is of course why he should take Gausman apart inch by agonizing, paradigm-shifting inch until Gausman gets his head on straight. With his fingers. Or dick. Or other such things. Of course. You cannot send down the veteran who is keeping Gausman grounded, right?? You have to keep him.
And if Gaus catches feelings that's on him!!!

For the fic ask thing, after re-reading Genesis, I've just gone over and over this passage so many times and I need to know what is going through Orpheus' head at this time. What is our boy feeling, thinking I just need you to peel him apart for me for this part:
Then she feels Orpheus’s hand on her cheek, and he calls her the word that only the Shu’kyani should know. She stares up at him, and he must see the question in her eyes. “My mother called me that,” he says. “But it seems to have been forgotten amongst our people.” “Probably on purpose.” “The githzerai -” the word seems almost obscene in his mouth. “Still use it. But they have stripped it of its meaning. They use it to refer to a child who has been hurt in a training exercise.”
Behind him there is a pail filled with steaming water, and a bundle of rags. She cannot quite believe it when he picks one up and starts to dab away the dirt on her face. The varsh scrub them down after, of course, but like they are removing stubborn dirt off the floor.
There is a pile of dirty rags on the floor before she can ask him if it was true the Vlaakiths, the first ones, had been chosen from the ranks of the Shu’kyani.
“I do not know about the first,” he says. “Why my mother chose her is a mystery. But the others? Voss says it was so. He says before the lich-queen, Shu’kyani were trained in tactics and history and anything else a Queen might need to know. And the best of them was chosen to be Queen, and to take the name. Lift your foot.”
He kneels before her, and scrubs the sole of dirt and blood. The tattoos on his skull remind him of the lightning strikes that she sometimes sees across the sky in the material plane. Something in Pa’zeth makes her reach out and touch him; for a brief moment she thinks he will lay his head into her naked lap. But after cleaning her legs he stands.
And just anything else you wanna add about it, and also how Voss is feeling too. I'm so obssessed about Pa'zeth are her disdain towards Voss because it's so real and raw and completely understandable to want to rip his face off. urgh.
This is about tenderness and connection. And, of course, about Gith, his mother. I think that I base a lot of Orpheus's characterisation around the loss of his mother. I think Gith did love her son, and he knew that, and he is proud that she was willing to do anything to save her people...but at the end of the day, she still left him behind. And with our mutual h/c about Zerthimon being his biological father, he's lost both of his parents, in a society that doesn't place any value on familial bonds. Not even Voss can really understand it, and perhaps he doesn't understand it either, really, because he can't articulate it; of course he thinks/knows his mother did absolutely what she thought she had to, but perhaps some part of him believes she's still going to come back. Some part of him is always going to be a little boy waiting for his wild, dangerous, clever, brave mother come back from raid. But to vocalise this is dangerous, because he needs to present this aura of absolute certainty. And here is this person, who is probably the only person not to have either cursed him out or fallen to his feet, who is as close to a mother as githyanki is, who stands there and says: you are wrong, and here's why. She's not cowed by Voss, or by the fact she might die for saying the wrong thing. She bears herself as bravely as any warrior, and perhaps he sees her as carrying the spirit of Gith with her; not in the way that she is a conqueror or violent, but in the way she says: this is my value, and I know it, and I would rather die than accept that I am less.
He also is confronted with the messy realities of what reproduction looks like for Githyanki now. Pa'zeth is literally bleeding talking to him. She is tired and dirty. There is honour in it but no dignity. And that viscerally offends him, because what did Gith fight for if not for the Gith to be more than animals? So he's giving all that he feels he can give to her, right now: dignity. Acknowledgement. Reassurance. What I feel like he's saying to her, "you should have been given much more than you've had." This is the only place Vlaakith has allowed tenderness in Githyanki society, because it was beneath her notice. But it's not beneath his. And he craves this tiny part of it for himself. In the same way that Pa'zeth wants to be more than an animal and in this moment he wants to be less than a Prince. He wants to be a boy again, just for a moment. At some point in his past he'd have sat with his mother after battle and washed the mud off her face. The true tragedy in this moment is that he can only give Pa'zeth what she wants by denying what he wants. Tenderness and vulnerability are still seen as weakness and he can't afford to display either. As for why Pa'zeth hates Voss? Because in her eyes, he's entangled with Vlaakith. At the end of the day, as far as she sees it, he's got everything he wants; silver sword, dragon, status and he has lost...nothing. She's not only seen all of her contemporaries die, but is now experiencing the loss of someone younger. And he's now there, thinking he can tell her what to do, how to act, what to feel. Perhaps unfairly, she sees him as complicit in a system that has killed millions of their people. Plus he manages to say all the wrong things, which, not his fault, but there's a reason Orpheus sends him out.
I am here, and I am listening to you.

OK, the game freaked me out real hard bc when we came back through the portal there were NO companions in camp other than the ones I had brought with me, and I thought we were about to be in a Mass Effect 2 situation where they all got kidnapped by the githyanki attackers and we'd have to go rescue them.
But they're back after a long rest! And, unsurprisingly, Lae'zel and Shadowheart both have exclamation marks on their head because holy shit y'all some shit just went down and everyone's freaking out.
I'm very scared to talk to Lae'zel cos I think she's gonna yell at me but I guess we might as well get it out of the way first.
Tumblr media
"Your parasite communes with Lae'zel's. Her heart races as she learns of the events inside the Astral Prism."
Honestly, the tadpole and its implications are terrifying but its utility as an Exposition Expedient is unparalleled.
Tumblr media
"Orpheus," she whispers, her voice somehow even more raspy than usual. "Gith's only son. He lives. It is not the ghaik visitor that Vlaakith would destroy and Voss would set free - it is Orpheus. The Blood of the Mother, the Prince of the Comet."
OK. No yelling yet. This is good.
Tumblr media
"A mighty powerful prince, if he can block out an illithid hivemind," Hector says cautiously.
(A/N: I just realized it threw me off a bit that they're having this conversation in daylight. XD I got very used to the eternal night of the shadow-cursed lands I guess.)
Tumblr media
"And even more powerful still," Lae'zel agrees. "It's said he could bring a thousand githyanki to their knees with one command. Listen close - the Emperor spoke only in half-truths. For you to know the tale of Orpheus, you must know the tale of Gith, and of Vlaakith."
OK not only is Lae'zel not yelling at him, but she's giving him a history lesson. This is going far better than I hoped. XD This is practically BFFs behavior given who we are talking about.
"Long ago," she goes on, "when we rose up against our ghaik slavers, Mother Gith made for the Hells to secure an alliance with the archdevil Tiamat. Tiamat gifted the githyanki our red dragons. Gith remained in the Hells and Tiamat's envoy proclaimed Vlaakith our ruler. The first Vlaakith of many. It is Vlaakith One-Five-Seven whom my people now call 'queen'."
Hector blinks, bemused. "One hundred fifty-seven? That's a lot of Vlaakiths."
If the humor registers with Lae'zel at all, she doesn't show it. "Yes. Our current queen has claimed undeath and reigned for a thousand years. But it was the first whom Orpheus tried to slay. Orpheus was - is - Gith's only son. He led his mother's own honor guard in a coup against Vlaakith One. It was Kith'rak Voss himself who slayed the prince in vicious battle. Or so the varshes teach us."
She hesitates, confusion flashing across her face. "Yet the Prince of the Comet's been with us, subdued by that repugnant illithid. Should Orpheus go free, he would tear Vlaakith's empire to pieces and build new glory from the scraps."
Hector frowns. "What happens now?" he asks carefully. He is certain Lae'zel has a strong opinion of the right course. At his moments of greatest confusion, she has always been a decisive voice to help him see a path, even if it was not the one he ended up choosing.
"We meet Voss in the city. And we obtain the key to freeing Orpheus from his prison," she says matter-of-factly, without hesitation. "Every word Voss spoke, he spoke true. Orpheus is the living proof of the queen's lies, and the living weapon that conquered our ghaik slavers. One word form his lips and the people would doubt. Two words, and they would rage. Three words, and they would bow to the True Heir."
She straightens, squaring her shoulders. "If the githyanki are to be free, the Prince of the Comet must lead the way."
It's a pretty big change from the dogmatic soldier she used to be. She has come a long way, he thinks with a flash of strange pride. As have we all.
That said, it's dangerous ground she proposes treading. Orpheus as he currently stands is the key to their survival - Hector isn't opposed to freeing him, necessarily, but they need some other way to protect themselves from the Absolute if it's going to go on the to-do list.
Unfortunately we don't get the chance to discuss that aspect with her right now.

Six Sentence Sunday, or Whenever
hey, it's another one of these! you know the rules, six sentences from your current wip, or a piece you're really proud of. this is really late, so im not tagging anyone specifically, but if you have something you want to share, consider yourself tagged!
the temp name on this is "Un-egg-spected Consequences." i got too sad thinking about atavian and daisy grieving each other in their respective timelines, so i wanted to write a short and sweet oneshot where they're both around. blurb under the cut:
“My love,” Tav starts, and she can already tell he's fighting a touch of hysteria. “Why do you have an egg with you?”
The wobble in his tone is enough to drive a disbelieving giggle out of Daisy, and she shifts the egg down in front of her stomach, because why not, it's not like she's felt anymore in touch with reality since the varsh agreed to let her take it, since the artifact started using their kids faces to talk to them, since her lungs drew air again and her husband was here, here with her in the middle nowhere, with his memory shattered and infected with the same parasite she was. Is. Why not, at this point?
She hopes her smile isn't too strained as she says, “Is this a bad time to say I have an announcement?”

Union Budget 2023 - Bharat-varsh
The whole of tumultuous 2022 has seen India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growing at about 6.1% according to most estimates of all rating and other agencies. Given the macroeconomic factors across the world, this is absolutely brilliant. We have managed to keep inflation at roundabout 5% and growth overperforming, meaning Bharat is actually becoming Aatmanirbhar powerhouse in itself.
This Budget comes with two big expectations -
The prosperity of the Indian middle class (and their growth)
The unparalleled growth of Bharat in infrastructure and addressing last mile delivery problems of most rooted problems in India - the common man's comfort.
We will have spent a total of ₹4,000 crores under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme till the end of March 2023 announced with an outlay of ₹1,49,000 crores in the Union Budget 2022-23. This has enabled India to position itself accounting for 7% of Apple India's exports. Apple plans to push the total share of India's input to 25% of its production across the world. This is unprecedented. This is India's chance to become a geopolitical powerhouse along with a cultural powerhouse that we are. The transformation of India to a geopolitical and manufacturing workhorse has multiple benefits in the macroeconomic environment of the world.
Indian middle class is a mix of white collar and blue collar workforce who work in cities which have a shortage of infrastructure. The National Infrastructure Pipeline, Pradhan Mantri Gatishakti Platform and the high capital expenditure over the last few Budgets on infrastructure has brought India to have seven cities with metro/rapid transit systems, eight more in the pipeline. This is supplemented by the addition of eight Vande Bharat Express'. We are getting there but the demand continues to grow so does the supply. A total of 75 rakes are on order and the sleeper coach version of Vande Bharat is under development. This is the push that we deserve for years.
Dr. Bibek Debroy, Chairman of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council also advocated for the simplification of the new tax regime and incentivization of the same for better tax buoyancy and better growth of the tax base. I believe the incentivization and growth of the tax base is important for the future of Bharat. We should and must talk and debate about tax on agricultural income over a particular limit. The most talked and expected increase in the basic exemption limit for the old regime does very little in terms of incentivizing the middle class and salaried class India.
The debate on equitization of tax on accrued capital gains is also long due. The Budget should talk about the equal taxing of any capital gains irrespective of the period (long or short) with or without indexation at a flat rate for the ease of taxpayers. There should also be a discussion on equity of interest rates on payment of Income Tax under various sections versus the interest rates on refund of excess tax. There is a disparity in this that needs to be addressed in the Union Budget 2023.
The Indian Indirect Tax regime has standardized most of the tax incidence but the processes of audit and assessment and matching needs standardization across the country. The introduction of a common audit manual on the anvil will make this problem go away but the implementation niggles need to be addressed at the earliest.
We also need to open up our capital markets - a mission, Shri Sanjeev Sanyal, currently Member, Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council, undertook but needs to complete.
India is a young country - demographically and economically. We need to believe in Bharat - I am sure that most of us do - this power drives the growth of Bharat - it will keep driving for the far and near future to be the third largest economy of the world.
I believe 2023 will be Bharat-varsh but the Union Budget 2023 needs to provide that impetus and I am sure the Government of India, the Ministry of Finance and all other collaborative bodies are both aware and equipped to deliver on both issues highlighted above.

Calloused hands cup the sides of his face, stroking away tears with her thumbs. So tender that he almost forgot the strength laid within them.
"Staj! must you coddle the male every step of the way?"
Tender hands slip further back to grasp his ears. They stroke along the ridges and bumps, touches getting firmer towards the tips.He moans shamefully, getting off on being petted by his Varsh, ilhar's disgusted gaze on his back.
"The cub must know his Varsh still cares even while she dangles him in front of a spiders web"
His ears were abandoned, a whimper left his lips but it was ignored. In favor of Jaheira dragging her hands down the column of his throat, thumbing each of his spots as they creeped lower and rest on his chest.
There was a scoff
"Please, look at this ssindossa's robes. Utterly ruined by slick and desperation, you could spit on him and he'd feel cherished."
The hands on his chest paused, examining the the embroidery on his monastery robes as if she could tell he wasn't worthy of them.
A desperate Shu'kyani masquerading as a warrior, his body soiling the cloth.
" These robes are spoiled, aren't they cub? "
Tender hands turn to ironbark, yanking him forward and a golden glow radiate from them.
Druid magic
His Varsh was entangling him, shredding his robes and leaving him bare. The vines had coiled themselves around his arms bounding them tight from his shoulders they lay circled round his chest.
The vines had also crawled up his legs and thighs, spreading them apart and elevating them up to his ribs.
His slick making an audible sound as it dripped onto the ground, another mutter of ssindossa from his ilhar's lips.
She sounds closer now.
They have faint thorns that caused thin cuts to form along his body, blood lightly bubbling to the surface.
His Varsh ignores them though, refusing to relieve the ache.
Opting to run her hands back upwards stroking any skin spots she comes across, until she reaches his ears. Goes back to petting them, rubbing tenderly.
His ilhar however, doesn't ignore his cuts.
The skin surrounding the cuts are tender, when the drows touch lingers too close, the sharp pain reminds him that he was nothing but a plaything.
His pussy ached
His Varsh and ilhar spoke in union
"Beg"

Even if at its core this is essentially a smut fic, i feel like we can still use it as a chance to explore the various mommy issues trauma with each of the companions.
Like in Minthara, it clearly stems from her Matrons and how she became the cold, heartless person she is today because of their treatment, how she buried her love and feelings deep inside her heart.
Or in Jaheira it might have came from her lack of a mother figure. She doesn't talk much in bg1 about her parents but she does mention them being two people in love. She doesn't even say which one was elf and human when asked, she just insists that it doesn't matter and they were in love.
Yet she ended up in a really dangerous lifestyle and married relatively young. Either she was following too much in the steps of her parents or they never really acted as actual parents.
Laezel didn't have a mother, but a shared caretaker amongst githyanki. And it shows in the way it sees it as her business what everyone else is up to and how controlling she tends to get. How she is the judge, jury and executioner.
Shadowheart had viciona or mother superior because she couldn't remember her own parents. Someone who let her stay in dangerous and abusive situations just so she'd grow stronger or die trying.
Karlach didn't have a single soul in her life that even cared about her as much as she was willing to care for people. The only person she saw as a guardian figure betrayed her and sold her to the hells, where no one down there has a drop of empathy left after it all got evaporated by the raging flames.
So, while yes, this is just smut, it still can have so much more. Kink at its core, is someone exploring themselves in a safe environment.
The githzerai is clearly consenting (at least that's what i always assumed he was) and it wouldn't take long for them to reach a poly agreement in the plot. So it's good to establish how different each of their mommy kinks are and where it originally stems for.
What exactly are they trying to make up for it? Why is it fullfiling to them and makes them feel in control?

shuffling through taylor’s songs and....
remember how in superman, taylor sings “has me seeing // he’s not all bad like his reputation”...
idk that just got me!!! cause even though that one’s about a boy, this era kinda parallels that line! it’s US “seeing” (ok we’ve always seen it but just go with it to prove my point here) that SHE’S not all  ““““““bad”””””” like HER ~~reputation~~  and WE can’t hear one single word THEY (@ literally everyone else) say.............
also “i loved you from the very first day” if that ain’t us
u feel
