“I had it first!” Y/d/n pouted as her brother ripped the toy out of her grasp.
“No I did!” Y/s/n yelled at his big sister.
“Give it back!” she reached for it, to grap it back.
“No!” Y/s/n screamed standing up ad moving the toy out of her reach.
“Woah, what’s wrong?” Y/n asked her children as she came rushing into the playroom.
“Now what’s going on in here?” Jerome asked as well, entering the room not even a few seconds later.
“KIDS!” Y/n yelled over them as they both started to explain each of their sides about what happened. Once it was quiet she continued. “When you talk at the same time we can’t understand either of you.”
“Your mother is always right young ones.” Jerome rolled his head around. He learned that a long time ago. But he does wish that their kids would catch on to that as well. “Now explain.”
“I had the toy first and then Y/s/n came in and ripped it from my grasp.” Y/d/n explained looking to her parents with upset eyes.
“I wanted to play with it!” Y/s/n yelled at his sister’s acquisition of what happened, even though it’s the truth.
“It wasn’t your turn, you imbecile!” Y/d/n fired back crossing her arms over her chest.
“OK, calm down.” y/n spoke softly but her voice still held a sternness to it.
“Nice word choice my little one.” Jerome high-fived Y/d/n on her choice of words to use against her little brother.
“Jerome. Not the time.” Y/n glared at him.
“Alright, alright.” Jerome nodded in understanding that it wasn’t the time to applaud his daughter’s big and clever word choice. “Now Y/s/n, when your sister has something you want you have to ask if you can share it or don’t play with it at that time.”
“But dad you say all the time if we want something take it.” y/s/n whined and stomped his foot.
“Not when it comes to home. In this house, this family. Different rules apply. Get it?” Jerome stated sternly to his son so he would understand that he means business.
“No!” Y/s/n screamed in his father’s face before storming off.
“I’ll deal with him, sweetcheeks.” Jerome kissed Y/n on the forehead before heading off in search of their son.
“Thanks, Red.” she called out as he left the room.
Jerome had a feeling once they found out their second child was going to be a boy, he would more than likely turn out like him. They were lucky enough (as Jerome says) to have a girl first and for her to turn out exactly like her mother. But Jerome had a strict rule, that neither child was allowed to disrespect him or his wife.
Y/n doesn’t want to get between Jerome and her son right now. She knows he won’t lay a finger on him. So Y/n decided to join their daughter and color for a bit.
