There've been a few posts wondering about the holes in Eddie's ceiling in the Venom 2 trailer and I couldn't help myself. Enjoy!

"Nah, it's not a bad time Annie, I'm just putting some groceries away," Eddie spoke into the cell phone pinched between his ear and shoulder, hands occupied with bags of food.

Venom thought they shouldn't bother putting the food away, they were both hungry after all, but Eddie insisted on putting things away before getting them out again like the inefficient loser he was.

"Not just frozen meals, I've got fresh stuff too." Eddie tried to defend himself from something Annie had said. Venom wasn't paying enough attention to Eddie's hearing to know exactly what she’d said, but it was probably true.

Instead they were distracted by a noise in the ceiling. A shuffling, scratching, scuttling sort of noise. The kind of noise that meant Venom could catch a snack.

"Yeah, bell peppers and spinach and orange juice. Strawberries, even."

All disgusting plants, though Eddie had bought chocolate, ground beef, and sugar cereal as well. Venom appreciated it, even if Eddie insisted on hiding the food away like a squirrel.

"I know, me too." Eddie shuffled around the kitchen, finding space in the fridge and cupboards.

The noise was still promisingly present in the ceiling. It sounded like a mouse, maybe a small rat. They’d caught and eaten both in the apartment before, either rodent would make a crunchy, savory snack.

"I dunno, I don't think my cooking skills are up to snuff. And the place is still a mess." An understatement. Eddie had told them that the apartment was a cozy mess. The counters were cluttered and laundry was strewn on the furniture. Their chickens roamed freely.

The noise could be a big roach, Venom thought as they drifted up Eddie's back. They’d yet to see a cockroach larger than one of Eddie’s thumbnails, but their host had memories of huge roaches two or three inches long. A big roach would probably taste interesting, maybe like a crispy, jelly filled doughnut but tangier.

"And it's been true for months,” Eddie insisted as he put away the last of the groceries. He gathered up the plastic bags, shoved them into another plastic bag under the sink, and walked directly under the noise in the ceiling. It went quiet as Eddie passed.

"No, no, it's okay. You guys don't have to, I can get the place cleaned up."

Now stood by the window, Eddie shifted his phone into his hand. The noise resumed as soon as Eddie stopped moving.

“I can manage, I promise. I’m all grown up and everything, really.” Eddie turned from the window and back to their messy apartment.

Venom coiled themself in between Eddie's shoulders, at the base of his neck. The scratching in the ceiling stopped as Eddie approached. For a moment they thought that maybe the rat-mouse-roach was on to them, but it started up again as he paced aimlessly back into the kitchen.

“Nah, I got it. Really, I do.”

They wound themself tighter just underneath Eddie's skin. Tension built and built and built until they could only just hold themself back.

And then they released it.

*WHHUP-THUNK*

"Jeeezus-fuck!" Eddie shouted.

A mouse had been making the noise in the ceiling. It was exceptionally large and exceptionally delicious, Venom thought as they digested it, webbed into the hole they’d punched in the ceiling.

"What was that?!" Annie's voice came from the phone that Eddie was now holding pinned between his chin and his clavicle, fumbled into speaker mode. His arms were raised in front of his head and the muscles along his back were tense.

"That? Oh--that was renovation, in the upstairs unit." Eddie gradually relaxed as he spun the familiar lie, while Venom retracted back into their host.

"Still? It's been almost a year, hasn't it?" Annie asked from the cellphone now held in Eddie’s hand.

"Yeah, yeah, it has. But it keeps on happening for some fucking reason." Eddie was glaring at them now, like it was their fault they’d been hungry enough to punch through the ceiling--again--to eat a mouse.

"At least they're trying. That's good, right?"

"Yeah. It's fantastic."

And delicious, Venom hummed against Eddie’s spine.

Thoughts for venom 2’s second trailer:

(I watched it twice and this is in no particular order iykyk ig)

“I need you to come out. Right. Now.” And venoms just like naw fam “that is a RED one” Lmao what are they classified by colors????

“I’m sorry I don’t know what came over me” *punches Eddie again*

No wonder Eddie punches him back cuz — Good news! They’re not abusive! Eddie is trying to be patient! Thank god that makes me feel so better after the leaked trailer

(I’m guessing Eddie punches Venom cuz he loses patience and so Venom just… plasters Eddie to the ceiling)

Please why is Eddie saying “you need to control your aggression” so hot

Also I have no idea what Venom is saying half the time please I’m a hopeless auditorial I need my subtitles

Okay bear with me but I’m guessing Cletus having some of Eddie’s ‘not blood’ is what spawns Carnage?

Ok but where does Cletus go if Carnage opens… her? Their?? Torso up for the bullets to go through

Venom saying “OH YEAH” gives me serotonin

“I’ll let you eat everybody” *John Mulaney voice* and he said, you know, like a liar!

it’s funny seeing so many people angry about venom 2 being rated PG-13.

carnage first appeared in a comic that was rated for teens. the recent (and arguably gorier) venom comics are rated T+ (aka PG-13). yes, both absolute carnage and king in black are rated T+.

not sure where everyone got the idea that carnage = mature (R) rating

#yeah it would’ve been nice if they got to drop more f-bombs but other than that i think they’re fine #the first venom movie & other PG-13 movies show that you can have violence & heavy topics without the R rating #i mean look at what carnage does in just the trailers...we’re going to be fine #ppl need to stop freaking out over this #venom #venom 2 #venom: let there be carnage #v:ltbc #carnage #the author’s note

Mini No Way Home Theory

So I keep seeing people tall about the fact we only see 5 of the 6 villains in the No Way Home Trailers (those 5 being Sandman, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, and the Lizard)

I keep wondering who that sixth villain is gonna be (cause let's face it they're not not gonna do the Sinister 6 we all know it.

Right off the bat I think it'll be someone we've seen before in a previous Spiderman film, since every other villain has had one or more appearances in the past (that more being William Dafoe's Goblin)

So I don't think it'll be anyone like Kraven, Hydroman, Beetle, or Hobgoblin (I know most people think Hobgoblin is in this what eith that other Goblin Glider man in the trailer, but I don't believe that's HobGoblin) if I'm wrong then whoops

Who can I say it won't be for certain though...

Well it's not Mysterio, there's no way he's gonna immediately try something after just faking his death (yes I believe he's alive he fakes his death enough times in the comics)

It won't be Venom or Carnage (I haven't seen V:LTBC yet) I get this film isndrawing together all the Spiderman movies, and while that would fit the theme of the film I don't think he'll be a major part of it; however I do believe Venom could make an appearance as a post credit scene signifying the merge.

I don't think it'll be Vulture, despite his presence in the first Spiderman film; I do think if anything there could be a Vulture variant since eith the visible differences of Doc Ock and Electro there could be variants of the Tom Hollands villains.

Shocker has appeared twice technically, with two men carrying the title in Homecoming, but I don't think we'll see a proper version of him yet.

The two most likely villains I see appearing as the final member of the Six would have to be Rhino and or Scorpion.

Both Mac Gargan and Alexei Sytsevich have made appearances in Spiderman films (Mac appeared in Homecoming both on the boat fight and in a post credit scene with Adrien Tombes, while Alexei appeared in Amazing Spideman 2)

We could see a variant of Mac Gargan with the iconic Scorpion suit appear alongside his other villains, or we could see Alexei or even Alex O'Hirn appear in a Rhino suit more like the classic suit or the video game Rhino (just not not god awful Titanfall mech)

Or we could all be wrong and it be Uncle Ben or Hydra Bob who knows.

i legit don’t know if i’m in 10 fandoms lol

1. John Doe from Telltale’s Batman: the Enemy Within. John is my fav fictional character ever. I draw him too much and I have a poster and mouse pad of one of my drawings of him. i don’t think i’ll ever stop drawing or writing for him. BTEW is also what got me into batjokes, dc, and the Joker. and clowns 🤡

2. Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU. Iron man 2 was the first marvel movie i had ever seen, and legit, he is the love of my life. i have an iron man shrine and a life-size decal of him. i have so much merch of him and i went to avengers: endgame dressed as him with props, like his mask and repulsor blaster. iron man 1 through 3 are fantastic and just *chefs kiss*

3. Kory Anders/Koriand’r in Titans. I haven’t finished season 2 of titans yet, but season 1 is AWESOME. legit loved it from the beginning and i was hype as soon as i saw the trailer. it gave me so much i had ever wanted and i would die for Miss Anders. kory is so fantastic and beautiful and i just. i wish i could be her. i started wearing high heel boots because of her. QUEEN

4. Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb. so I grew up w pnf and from the beginning, perry was my fav character, though i love everyone. i didn’t really become obsessed with the show until after it ended. i would come home from school and there’d always be reruns, so i would watch it every day. then i binged it on netflix and just. i’ve seen every ep several times, both movies, the live show (on youtube), pnf take two, doof’s daily dirt. yeah. everything.

5. Theron Shan in Star Wars: The Old Republic. it’s hard to pic a fav in this game since i typically love my ocs more, but theron is just awesome. he’s a wreck, constantly fails, is adorable, and is voiced by my fav voice actor, Troy Baker. i legit made my agent exclusively to romance theron. he’s my boy

6. Dorian Pavus from Dragon Age: Inquisition. showstopping. beautiful. breathtaking. spectacular. i just love him. the first time i played dai, i was a lady qunari romancing iron bull and i thought dorian was just okay. then i did his companion quest and i just. omfg fell in love. so i romanced him with a lavellan. pavellan for life!

7. Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog. it’s hard for me to decide my fav disney princess , but i’m pretty sure it’s tiana. She’s hardworking, wonderful, i just love her. i also think it’s interesting that her arc is learning to enjoy life and not overwork herself, which isn’t really an arc i see in a lot of female characters, especially in the princess lineup. also, i hate disney for how they treated her. you can tell disney didn’t really care about her or her movie, making it 2D, hiring randy newman to make the songs, and marketing it terribly. it’s a shame since Tiana is such a wonderful character! <3

8. Alex Mercer from [PROTOTYPE]. so this game is amazing and it’s legit a part of my personality. i played it first when i was little, then my copy of the game broke. it wasn’t until i saw Venom in theatres did it like make me remember how much i loved the game. so i had to buy it again lol Alex is fantastic and i need a movie of the game. i’m going to write a script. i need it. alex will be played by rami malek XD

9. Katsa from Graceling. my fav book and fav protagonist. katsa is wonderful and deeply flawed. she’s my fav character in the book series and graceling is my fav of the 3 books. she’s really unique as a character, a female character, and a YA protagonist. fingers crossed for Winter Keep!

10. Eddie Brock in Venom. i just rewatched venom recently and it made me realize how much eddie is just the opposite of these toxic-masculinity male protagonists. eddie is kind, sensitive, a loser, flawed but also a good person. he just makes me happy. im so excited for V:LTBC!!!

there are other characters not in specific fandoms like batgirl or harley quinn, but i didn’t know where to put them lol

i don’t normally care about media all that much but holy fuck venom: let there be carnage may be the worst sequel i have ever seen. WARNING FOR SPOILERS BELOW!!

the way they didn’t deliver the hype from the first movie at all is acc sorta hilarious. every bad choice that could have been made was made dear god this movie is bad. all of the cuts felt abrupt and the scenes were short and barely kept the narrative going, it feels like the movie was like 20 min long. soooo many of the scenes made no sense at all and added NOTHING to the movie like the scene at the rave or when venom interrupts a mugging. the fight scenes felt so weird and forced and the whole ”they’re not symbiotic!!!” reveal by the end would’ve been the corniest thing ever if it wasn’t forgotten like five seconds after. also frances’ death was so anticlimatic. not that enough of her character was shown for her to even have an impactful death. girlie was honestly just there to be loud and be the kryptonite to the symbiotes. also her ability also wasn’t explained and it could’ve added so much to the story if the writers just once sat down and decided to figure out what her potential as a character could’ve been. aside from that mess, how carnage came to be was never truly explained?? like, at all?? kassidy bit eddie and now he has a symbiote? this was never expanded upon and not a single fuck was given from the writers and i hate this movie SO MUCH. the jokes fell flat most of the time, and while they were clearly going for what wirked the first time, boy did they misunderstand the assignment. either the jokes were akward and felt forced, or they had no buildup/went by too fast. AAAAGHHHHHH the worst part is that i love the first movie so much!! when i saw the trailer for v:ltbc in the cinema i became more exited for that movie rather than the one i was there to see. btw sorry for no paragraphs or proper grammar, i’m way too upset for that rn. These aren’t even all the things i dislike avout the movie aughhhhh

at least the bitches were allowed to be gay in the end. bless
