Been in the process of making my 2006 Mustang look like John Wick’s 1969 Mustang.

Currently working on the interior. Normally it’s grey, I’m making it black with wood grain wrap on some of the panels.

Rant.

My FUCKING brother stole my whole idea for a car. And then had to message me personally and tell me. What a dick move. Not to mention he and his girlfriend are constantly talking to me like I’m stupid and or being plain rude for no reason.

For example, the other day, I was helping get his girlfriend home (her car is out of commission: AKA totaled because she can’t drive safely) and I was talking about wanting a pink credit card. And she rolled her eyes and *in the most condescending tone* said “of course you do”

She then went on to explain how she doesn’t own anything pink. (She’s emo in the grossest, unhygienic way, it’s not even cute. Also constantly dehumanizing and emasculating my brother, and he just takes it, despite expressing his discomfort with it)

So the other day, she was sitting in our living room with our family, and I showed them my dream car (classic black 1967 Ford Mustang) and she said “Ugh, you can’t drive that.”

“Why?”

“Because it doesn’t suit you and you’d have to be a cigarette mom”

EXCUSE ME? Don’t get me wrong, a cigarette wouldn’t be too bad right now but come on.

Also previously told me I would suit a Toyota Camry over any sports car. (My brother blindly agreed because he’s pussy whipped)

So, I’ve wanted a mustang for a year. Literally didn’t stop talking about it. And my brother was going to get handed our mom’s old car when he could afford it. And then he sent me a message tonight saying:

“Wanna know something funny?” And went on to tell me he’s getting a mustang which is hilarious. NOT. I was pissed. After I’ve talked about it nonstop for a year and he never showed any interest?

And our mom would never let him in the first place ( she made that mistake once already, with our other brother who has a new edge and drives like a crazy person )

He isn’t responsible and literally stormed out of his workplace a few weeks ago, got his girlfriend pregnant before she even turned 18. God. What a mess.

Although retirement is out of reach for many of us, there’s one thing that we can all still get. Shitty old 90s Mustangs. As long as we do it right now, before the investors get over here and start driving up the price to as many as two thousand dollars, we can all have a little bit of anemic grand-touring hardtop in our lives. Unless we want a stick shift, a V8, or a convertible. Or a running car. You know what? Forget this whole thing, I just saw a Craigslist post for a wrecked ‘94 V6. Seller wants nineteen grand for it, abandon market.

There’s a lot of cross-class appeal to the Mustang, whose reputation has in a few short decades broadened from “attractive successful businessperson’s car” to the stick-axled understeer demon that menaces car meets and trailer parks alike. Unfortunately for all of us dirtbags, the price has continued to rise along with its demand. Nowadays, you can’t get one of Vanilla Ice’s prized 5.0s for less than one of those aforementioned trailer homes.

Some of you out in the audience are probably throwing things at your monitor, lashing out at the very idea of me claiming that the Mustang’s increase in price is proportionate to its increase in demand. It is true that Ford Motor Company has, since the fateful year of 1964.5, produced more total Mustangs than there are currently alive human beings on Earth.

We could all have one, if the economy were better managed and the means of production seized. Karl Marx himself did not write extensively about Mustangs, mentioning them only briefly (Engels was more of a Firebird guy,) but his intentions were clear. However, this analysis fails to comprehend the fact that virtually 95% of all Mustangs have been destroyed in low-speed single-vehicle accidents with stationary objects. The most obvious change to the 1973 Trans Am had been the optional new Firebird hood graphic, which replaced the front-to-rear stripe seen on the 1970-1972 cars, and the addition of some bright new colors, including neck-snapping Buccaneer Red. But the most important change was under that hood. While every other manufacturer was scaling back its performance efforts, Pontiac’s engineers actually increased theirs, introducing the new 455 Super Duty engine option.

jjunie’s daughter loves glittery toy makeup kits, puts lipgloss on her dad and always asks him to play tea party which he never refuses…

but beomgyu’s daughter who sits on his shoulders watching a car race, excitedly pointing out cars that are her favorite color. play wrestles with him but he always lets her win. they play with that hot wheels track and have competitions.

(I always joke that if I had a daughter I’d be the mom that makes sure my daughter knows about cars so she isn’t impressed by some fuck boys v6 mustang…also beomgyu if you need a mother for your kids I’m here 🥲 im so delusional we’d be those parents)
