INTRO: his month marks the 3 year anniversary of when we dropped the teaser and as usual, we're back for another yearly developer update! This time we’ll be showing a little more than usual.

MILESTONES: We’ve hit another massive milestone on the project.. ALL of our main levels are now playable from start to finish! We’re also very close to finishing the level assets too! After extensive iterations, feedback, and hard work, we’re confident we’ve made something great.
BEHIND THE SCENES: We would also like to show some behind the scenes of our creation process today! We’ve compiled some special footage for you to take a peek at!

HOW MUCH IS LEFT? As highlighted in the earlier milestone update, the project has reached an excellent stage. The major tasks are nearing completion, and the focus will soon shift to polishing everything. It’s important to note that the polishing phase may be time-consuming.

So we joined Tumblr
We are a tiny remote indie studio from Berlin and Glasgow founded in 2017. Last year, we released our first game, a narrative FPS called INDUSTRIA for PC, PlayStation5 and Xbox Series. In this game you play Nora, who searches her friend and partner Walter on the evening of the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, before getting sucked into a parallel dimension.

INDUSTRIA is very inspired by our favourite Valve games like Half-Life 2 and Portal, but also games by Playdead, namingly INSIDE. Bioshock and Frictionals titles like Amnesia and SOMA played a big role when making our debut game as well. Now we are working on the next thing. Lets see what this platform is!

The advantage of this new loop system is that damage can be shown in real-time so AI can show when they will be defeated or a shield breaks from your attacks while circling them.

This is a train station asset created for an unannounced indie title. I can't go into too much detail, but the game is a fun parkour-style version of being a gig-worker for a delivery company! Creating the whole world for this game has been really interesting and challenging at times, as this is the first time I have had to create city-style assets for an environment. This train station is part of a set of blueprints so that our LD doesn't have to individually set each train station up with their own benches, vending machines and the like. Can't wait to be able to show more stuff off from this project

Figured out how to do properly-oriented sword trail FX, so I also went ahead and implemented SFX and turn restrictions during attacks. There's a weird bug I can't nail down, though, where sometimes it'll repeat the first light attack twice, and then continue to chain normally. Probably just state machine weirdness.
Also made a tweak to how attack timings work, so attacks are consistently faster when you're chaining attacks.
