SYRIA - Mine awareness through painting activity.

The ​​UNMAS team in Syria invited heads of agencies in Syria for a field visit to Yarmouk on Thursday 14th March (Yarmouk is a Palestinian refugee camp and was heavily affected by the crisis).  The joint visit by UNMAS ,UNRWA and Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) survey and clearance teams took place then.The event has been arranged to mark Mine Action Day.  In cooperation with agencies including UNHCR, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNRWA, WHO, OSE, and OCHA, a series of joint media posts will be published to mark the day and raise awareness of affected populations. Furthermore, a joint initiative with UNICEF was organized to promote mine awareness through painting activity in two schools located in Rural Damascus. There was also an SMS awareness campaign to all mobile phone subscribers in the country, and a Facebook campaign to ensure the messages and visual contents reach beneficiaries. Additionally, official ceremony will be held on 16 April,  an open-door afternoon at the UNMAS office in Damascus allowing visitors to learn about the organization's demining operations in the country.

Sasar Penyandang Disabilitas, Fakultas Farmasi Unmas Gelar Pelatihan Penanganan Infeksi DBD

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, DENPASAR - Pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat, Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Mahasaraswati (Unmas) Denpasar, bersama Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia Pengurus Daerah Bali menggelar pelatihan ”Pencegahan dan Penanganan Dini Infeksi Demam Berdarah Dengue untuk Para Penyandang Disabilitas Netra Sensorik” bertempat di Yayasan Pendidikan Dria Raba Denpasar, Minggu (27/8/2023). Ketua kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat Fakultas Farmasi Unmas Denpasar, apt. Nyoman Budiartha Siada, S.Farm., M.Farm menjelaskan, bahwa kemudahan dalam mengakses Informasi dan komunikasi terkait kesehatan adalah hak dari semua orang tak terkecuali para penyandang disabilitas. Menurutnya, Penyandang disabilitas juga berhak memperoleh kesamaan dan kesempatan akses atas sumber daya di bidang Kesehatan dan untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut maka dibuatlah media edukasi khusus untuk para penyandang disabilitas sensorik netra berupa Buku Audio. “Dengan adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu teman-taman penyandang disabilitas sensorik netra agar dapat lebih memahami beberapa poin penting terkait pencegahan dan penanganan dini infeksi demam berdarah dengue atau yang biasa disingkat DBD," ungkapnya. Sementara itu, Ketua Yayasan Pendidikan Dria Raba, Ir. Ida Ayu Pradnyani Manthara menyambut baik kegiatan ini, berharap para penyandang disabilitas sensorik netra memiliki hak yang sama dalam memperoleh pendidikan dan informasi. "Adanya kegiatan yang dilaksanakan teman-teman Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemandirian para penyandang disabilitas sensorik Netra dalam hal Kesehatan khususnya dalam mencegah dan menangani infeksi DBD," jelasnya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Small Group Discussion (SGD). Proses edukasi dilakukan menggunakan media khusus berupa Buku Audio yang berisikan informasi Kesehatan sesuai topik yang terkait, kemudian para penyandang disabilitas sensorik netra diarahkan untuk membentuk kelompok kecil dan dilibatkan dalam proses diskusi. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat Fakultas Farmasi Unmas Denpasar yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa, bertindak sebagai fasilitator dalam diskusi tersebut. UNMAS Iraq received help from New Zealand to support the Government and the National Mine Action Operators.

The threat from explosive ordnance contamination across Iraq, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the areas liberated from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) as well as legacy mines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW) from previous conflict over the past four decades, continues to endanger the lives of Iraqi people. Explosive ordnance also hinders the safe return of displaced communities and prevents productive use of land for housing and livelihood activities.

Picking favorites is a little difficult for me but I gotta bring love to my ghost and dark types. I love Gengar so much, the mischievous boy he is. Mega-Gengar and its Gigantamax form only made me like them more. I took a weird liking to Cofagrigus after creating a trick room team with it, and now I can't get it out of my mind when I think about ghost types. And Bisharp has always been so cool to me, I was so happy when Kingambit was revealed.

The ghost-type category just keeps on giving; there's so many peak designs in there

SOUTH SUDAN - Launch of the National Mine Action Authority Law.

On 4 April, from 09:00 to 11:30 CAT, UNMAS South Sudan will lead a commemoration with a focus on youth, featuring a performance by a local musician and engagements with school students showcasing their molded art at Imperial Hotel, Juba. School children will present clay works along with an explosive ordnance risk education song produced by a local musician. Highlights will also include speeches by Honourable Angelina Teny, Minister of Interior Affairs; UNMISS, National Mine Action Authorities (NMMA), and mine action partners; as well as the launch of the National Mine Action Authority Law.

I feel the urge to talk about how often Underverse's 'big bad', XGaster, is called out for not being as big or bad as he seems. Even with all the power he has, he is constantly said to be hiding behind his creations.

Despite all the power he has, and how easily he could dispatch some Sanses (as seen in the 0.4 ending), he continues to hid behind his creations. The ability to overwrite is not the end all be all, which XGaster has learnt from his near death experience during the XTale series.

At the end of it all, Gaster is right. XGaster is scared. Scared of what he doesn't know, what he can't expect. It's why he almost kills Cross in a last ditch effort to keep Fatal away from himself. Why he overwrites all his creation's wills and why he wants Chara and Cross under his control. He's a control freak, and that's been really well established, but I love how each episode further highlights just how little control he has compared to what he implies, and how much fear is accompanied with that.

At the end of the day, he silences Gaster and ignores Fatal. He refuses to respond to either of them. Because Gaster is right, and Fatal is in fact a threat.

I'm in love with the way XGaster is portrayed. He never really changed his methods between Season 1 and 2, always hiding behind someone or something to do his bidding.

It's also interesting how Geno addresses XGaster here. I'm pretty sure how Isolation might have affected XGaster is obvious, but the lines "there are many ways to break free. watch out for which version of yourself will get the job done." is still a bit of a mystery to me.

It's obvious how that applies to Geno, given that 3 versions of him show up in this episode: His normal Aftertale self, Error (who only shows up in flashes in this part of 0.7, but is fully present in part 1) and Fatal Error. All three versions have 'broken free' of something in their own way, be it the isolation and ensuing madness Geno went through, Error going through the same again or Fatal becoming an even bigger glitch after escaping Error.

All in all, can't wait for 0.8. Really enjoying where this is going so far, and now I have the urge to draw Fatal (even though that would be far too much of a pain and quite difficult given my skill rn).
