The day before one of his exams, Steve goes with Bucky and their friends to a protest that leads them to jail. Lucky for them, Tony Stark bails them out. Not so lucky for Tony, Steve refuses the billionaire’s offer.

48. This fic is just so sweet. It dives into that moment when Eliot asks about the Rainbow Bridge. I have a lot of feelings about Eliot and his pets. And the relationship between Eliot and Quentin in this fic is just so beautiful. I love everything about this. Thank you, @wolfnprey ❤️

There's a Land That I Heard of Once in a Lullaby - UisceOneLove - The Magicians (TV) [Archive of Our Own]

49. This is so beautiful...a Queliot first date that heals everything...snowfall...their love for each other...so perfect. It's short so I don't want to spoil, but--that smile. They're both so true to character. Thank you, @inmediasres-1 ❤️

50. This fic is just so amazing, it skyrocketed to the list of some of my fav fic of all time. There's just SO MUCH here. So much of Eliot and Quentin growing their love together the way they should have gotten the chance to. Yet echoes of other lives. Everyone's so well drawn, especially Eliot, and I love the way Margo is there for him. The angst in the middle is worth it to get to the beautiful end. I don't even have any words except thank you, @nellie-elizabeth❤️

So, I shall be back someday with more fic recs. Meanwhile I will still be reading and enjoying your fanworks; thank you so much for making them. But it may be a while before I have time to take on another public reading list. I'm so glad I got to do this one, though! Just in time for spring ❤️

But in the middle of it there had been no opportunity for pause, no moment where he could check that Bucky was okay. He kept moving, and that was what mattered.

It's the Wrongs the Make the Words Come to Life

Carlos Reyes/TK Strand, 2.3k, Teen (Read on ao3) @911bingo, square "To me you're the whole world"

"Move," he barks urgently, too focused on his dying heart than how his future father-in-law might be insulted by getting pushed out of the way. TK hooks a hand under Carlos's head to tip it back, a sluggish thump of his heart and the flutter of lashes the only assurance that there's still time.

There are noises when TK unsheaths his fangs, explanations he will be willing to give when this is over, but he's too busy tearing open his own wrist with said fangs to focus on them. Blood flows out steadily in the gaping holes but they'll heal fast, so TK digs his thumb into Carlos' jaw to get him opened up, then presses his bleeding wrist to mouth of the man he'd kill for.

"Please, baby," he pleads, "drink. Please ."

For a long and chilling second, he thinks he's too late. Carlos doesn't react as the blood spills down his chin and into his mouth. He's being forced to picture the meaninglessness of living without Carlos by his side and he can't–

Tongue weakly ghosts against his wrist.

"Oh thank God," TK breathes. He pulls Carlos into his lap and strokes his fingers through his hair. "Drink, baby, as much as you can."

Carlos is still fading, but now he's lapping up TK's blood and is able to latch onto it, the sucking getting gradually more insistent with each swallow. A trembling hand fumbles until it grabs onto TK's arm as a way to stop TK from taking it away but that's not an option he'll ever consider.

"What have you done?" Gabriel chokes. He doesn't blame the man for looking terrified, he's used to it. It comes with what he is and the legends that the world loves to tell.

TK isn't going to feel sorry for it. "I'm saving your son," he answers grimly.

The smile he looks forward to is waiting for him courtesy of the barista that makes even Eddie have to tip his head back a little bit to make eye contact. "Yeah," Buck drawls as he pushes the tray of coffee towards him, "but you're still on duty."
