Raihan x She/They!Reader

You were getting ready for a picnic date with Raihan. Everything was going according to plan. Until it came down to your Slyeon. He did not want you to leave nor did he want to be put into his Heal Ball. Once you heard a knock on your front door and started walking towards it. You had to open the door with one hand because you were holding Slyveon in the other arm.

“Hello Raihan. Sorry about taking so long to open the door.”

He chuckled as he looked at the Slyveon in your arms.

“It’s alright. I know it’s because of how much he loves you.”

You put Slyveon down and you three walk outside. But once you reach the gate Slyveon’s ribbons wrap around your hand.

“Slyveon. We have to out of our front yard to have the picnic.”

Slyveon whines and tries to pull you back towards the front door. You and Raihan tried to talk Slyveon into walking with you two and to go into his Heal Ball. Slyveon was having none of it. You knew that this would happen because he was a rescue. His last trainer gave him up because they wanted an Espeon or an Umbreon. At least that’s what you were told. Slyveon didn’t want you to abandon him like his previous trainer. You knelt down in front of the Pokémon.

“What if we have our picnic in the front yard? Would that be alright with you?”

The Pokémon thought about it and nodded. You look at Raihan.

“I hope that alright with you.”

“It is. I’m just happy that I get to spend time with you and Slyveon.”

You and Raihan set up the picnic and gave the Pokémon treats to Slyveon. You three were happy that you got to spend time together. Once you guys were finished you picked up your partner as Raihan opened the door. You took Slyveon to your bedroom and placed him on his bed since he was passed out from the food. You and Raihan went to the living room to watch tv.

That was until you heard crying. You rushed into your room and Slyveon was crying because he thought you left him. You picked him up and took him to watch tv with you and Raihan. It’s going to take some time for Slyveon to realize that you are not going to abandon him. But that’s for another day.

There were usually two stereotypes about ice-type trainers. One of the two, the trainer or the Pokemon, would be cold and distant, while the other is friendly and charming. That was sort of the situation you were in. Raihan usually fancies himself a dragon-type trainer, but he was blown away by your Glaceon's strength and couldn't resist the urge to battle you only once. Also to mention you were pretty cute, so he asked for your number.

But as usual, Glaceon had issues when it came to you and your romantic interests. Most men would give up pursuing you because of how overprotective she was. But since you had an interest in Raihan, you at least explained over text, while he was in a safe distance away from her. Glaceon was a present given to you when she was just an Eevee by your past boyfriend. You loved her very much but your boyfriend turned out to be a rather jealous man and slowly over time became suffocating with how dominating he was in every little aspect of your life. You have plans to be with your friends? You better ask him for permission and he just HAS to come along with you. No matter what. You want to spend time with your family, why do you need them? You don't need them, you just need him. He did more than just isolate you, he began to mistreat you. He could never keep a job longer than a year due to his horrible personality and expected you to care for him as a mother, not a partner. What do you mean you had a previous boyfriend before him? You better tell him every detail, he gets strange with the idea of another man having you. He didn't care for your needs, only looking out for himself. You spent many nights crying, not sure if you should stay due to how many years you'd been with him. Glaceon witnessed all of that.

You finally broke up with him and kicked him out, never hearing from him again. Effectively getting your life back by cutting him out. But Glaceon had already been affected by all this and became extremely protective over you, never staying inside her pokeball and being constantly by your side. She gave mean looks to everyone, hissed at those who tried to pet her, and wasn't afraid to attack others. By this point, you and Raihan had gotten close over messages. He knew he wanted to get to you know you better, but didn't want to impede on your relationship to Glaceon either. So what he offered next surprised you. He offered to help you get referred to a Pokemon therapist. Turns out that Pokemon need therapy too! In the case of event when a Pokemon becomes much too aggressive due to their loyalty, they could get referred to a program to help relieve their mental stress. Never having done this before, you decide to give it a try. Raihan dedicated a day of the week from his work to help you through this, coming along with you. By being consistent with Glaceon, he could show that he's a good guy. The three of you would spend three hours a week in therapy, going through trust exercises and getting adjusted to Raihan's presence. Glaceon didn't react well at first, giving Raihan a cold glare as she stayed at your feet, refusing you to get near him. But after a month of work, Glaceon did something different. Raihan usually sat at the corner of the room, close but not too close, during therapy. To show consistency and that he could provide for her, he was always the person feeding her lunch during therapy. But he could never get close enough to her, she'd stay distant until he set the bowl of food down and walked away. But this time, when Glaceon knew it was feeding time, she left your side and cautiously walked up to Raihan. Raihan couldn't help but to smile, "You know what time it is, don't you?" he laughed lightly. "Alright let me go get your food." He exited the door and Glaceon sat there, waiting for him. Her eyes were cold and focused, half expecting for him to still not come back but he did. This time with her favorite as well. Raihan set it down in its usual place and Glaceon still lingered near him before she began to eat, this was the first sign of trust you finally got her to show. You and Raihan exchange a look and smile, having finally made progress.

Just when Raihan thinks he's finally figured out your tricks you come up with something new that takes him off guard. If Primarina is around, someone is about to be surprised by a spray of water or a sudden loud noise while you distract the unsuspecting party.

If random objects such as chairs or tables start moving around, and you're acting as though nothing is happening. You've either recruited your Ghastly or Mismagius to sneakily do so, there are videos on your socials where you've purposefully had them move things, like dolls, to prank your viewers.

But letting your Rotom possess the refrigerator? "Okay really funny, but how are we supposed to get our food?" And despite your completely innocent expression that you've developed for years on the acting scene, the fact that you're standing in the doorway without him calling out to you gives you away.

"Why do you think I'm behind this?"

"Try opening it." Raihan had tried several times to convince the Rotom to open the door, with no luck. It gave him a light shock the one time he touched the handle. He's not surprised in the slightest when it opens immediately without you even having to touch the handle. "So you've got nothin' to do with this?" You shrug.

"I might happen to be acquainted with the Rotom possessing the fridge." He stares at you in silence, as the Rotom floats out a snack for you. You're expression falters, until you break out into laughter. "Okay you got me, hehe nice work Rotom!" He should be more annoyed, but every time without fail he finds himself grinning along side you.

One of these days, he swears he will get you back.

Raihan:

It was a cloudy day in Hulbury, meaning not a lot of people we're out and about. Raihan's Goodra adored the wet weather, though, so Raihan was happy to walk through the rain with his Pokémon so it could have some fun. The fun was short lived, though, when they heard a weak cry coming from some tall grass near the beach.

Investigating, Raihan was shocked to find what looked like a person, but where their legs should be, there was a long, scaly tail. Fins decorated the persons limbs, and clusters of scales dotted their skin.

Their eyes found Raihan weakly, and they reached for the sea behind them. Raihan understood immediately, scooping the person up so he could rush them to the water. Goodra followed, spritzing the person with water to help relieve them on the journey

Once back in the sea, the person sighed, soaking in water they were without for so long. With a weak voice, they explain that a frightened Pokémon had knocked them onto the land, and they didn't have the strength to drag themselves all the way back to the water. As thanks, they dive into the water and retrieve pearls and other lost items for Raihan. He almost didn't take them, but the idea of coming back for more, as the person promised, was too good to be true. He was too curious of this person to turn them down, and besides, Goodra liked them a lot. Can't say no to a Pokémon's wants

Emmet:

Emmet's trip to the beach with Ingo and Elesa was a great way to unwind. If only his brother and friend weren't homebodies that just wanted to lie on the beach and read a book for so long. Emmet had to occupy himself, so with Eelektross on the prowl, the two searched the beach for eager trainers or strong Pokémon to battle.

As they got farther away from where the people were staying, Emmet started to hear a faint noise. Weak, but audible, was a sad song. Eelektross heard it too, and became frantic as it tried to find the source of the sound. It's panic ignited Emmet's, and the pair searched the grass and sand for the creature in need of help

What they found was a merperson, drying out in the sand. Their fins appeared brittle, tail stiff as they tried weakly to move towards the sea. Emmet was shocked, but then quickly scooped the person up, rushing them back into the water. Eelektross joined them in the water, swimming around them as Emmet sat in the sand and cradled the weak person readjusting to being back in the sea.

They smiled at him, thanked him in a weak voice, and promised to bring a reward if Emmet was willing to wait for a moment. Emmet refused any reward, however, and instead asked questions. Who were they, how did they end up stranded, were they hurt? The merperson took their time answering his questions, telling him about the world beneath the waves that they were a part of. It sounded magical, and Eelektross cooed at the very idea. Emmet wanted to see it as well, so the merperson offered to take them. After all, a kiss from a mermaid can turn a person into a mer as well, so why not their kiss do the same? Emmet had no qualms whatsoever

Guzma:

It wasn't unusual to find weird things on the beach in Alola, stuff people had lost in the ocean, left to float along until it found a beach to rest on. Guzma and the Team Skull grunts often spent slow days combing the beach for treasures, something to do when there was nothing else to occupy them

Of course, none of them were expecting to find a person among the treasures, much less a person with a tail and scales and fins, whimpering and begging them for help. Guzma ushered the grunts around, everyone chipping in to help lift the person and place them back in the water. They sighed as they were met with the cool sea, and smiled at the grunts gathering around them, eyes wide and questions lining their tongues

Guzma shooed them off, making them give the person space as they readjusted to the water once more. Carefully, whilst propped against Guzma's chest, they explained that they had gotten caught in a fishing net, brought into shore for some reason or another. They had managed to escape the net, but they were stranded in the sand, too weak to crawl back into the water, to home

The mention of "home" started a whole new slew of questions, some even Guzma himself had. The person just laughed, and answered them best they could. Guzma traces their scale-littered skin as they did, wondering if they would stick around. The grunts liked them, and he was curious too. A world full of merpeople? It sounded like something out of a fairytale but. . . here you were. A fairytale alive. Yeah, he'd have to come back and meet you again, with or without the grunts

Kukui:

Kukui studied water Pokémon, but fish could be difficult with how they couldn't leave the water. So he often found himself at the beach, battling with the fish to understand their move sets better. Today was no different, except on his way to the secluded cove they would use for battling, Kukui found something startling

A person, laying against the rocks, with a long fish tail. They were tangled up in a net, caught on ledges that held them out of the water. Kukui wasted no time rushing to them, using his Pokémon to help cut them loose. They weren't dying thankfully, the water's spay able to keep them somewhat hydrated, but they were clearly not meant to be only slightly wet. So with a grand effort, Kukui cut the net, and the person fell into the water with a mighty splash

Kukui threw off his coat and dived in after them, scared that they were hurt still. His Pokémon swam around him, helping him locate the person drifting along with the currents. He wrapped his arms around them, and broke to the surface, cradling them so they wouldn't get washed away somewhere else dangerous

With a weak voice, the person thanked Kukui, their skin not covered with scales rubbed red and raw from the bite of the net. Kukui tries his best to help heal them, trying potions and berries, but it doesn't help entirely. Still, the person is grateful, and offers their services to him to help repay him. All Kukui asks is that they come back so he knows their okay. He's down at this cove every other day, so he's easy to find if they show up too. They agree, and on their first return meeting, bring with them a shiny Feebas. Kukui was smitten immediately

Thinking about the first time Larry accidentally uses chat speak during a conversation with Iono. She likes to send him office worker memes like “OMFG ITS U X3” and he just goes “Okay.”

Until one day he accidentally goes “lol get Rekt” at a meme about printers breaking and Iono just sends back nearly 100 random letters.

She demands to know where “mister boring normal type salaryman” learned to speak in such ways and Larry tries to avoid telling her until she threatens to show the gym leader group chat.

The answer is that he frequently is in contact with Gym Leader Raihan from Galar. A close “friend” of his is a gym leader there and Raihan happened to drop by for a match while he was there, which resulted in them talking about type match ups and also Raihan gushing over how cute and fluffy Cate (short for Concatenate) is. They exchanged numbers at Raihan’s request and Raihan has made it his personal mission to get Larry to use social media because he’s very good at taking photos and has funny things to say.

Iono is in disbelief for several reasons.

She still tells the leader GC and somehow Rika finds out.

Which means Geeta finds out.

He would rather do the entire league’s paperwork than go to Galar randomly, thank you for very much. He could just have had Raihan call. They don’t need to go to a different region just to prove Larry has friends that aren’t his coworkers.

V, his Flamigo, (name short for VLOOKUP) is quite happy to go on a vacation and see his best friend again. Count (short for COUNTIF) isn’t too happy but one look from V makes the Staraptor stop complaining.

1: Aborted Declaration of Love: How long did it take for you to finally confess to your F/O? How did it go? Were there several attempts, or was it just The One?

Raihan: Raihan was just The One, at Hulbury, in a sunset where he and I pulled each other's hearts out and kissed, which rekindled our old romance from college.

Piers: I'll let you in on a little secret: Piers has tried to confess to me several times but bailed out at the last minute because he just saw my smile and his brain went "brrrrrr". That was until Piers was invited by Raihan to a party with the other Gym Leaders and everyone got a bit tipsy, which led to a little game of 7 Minutes In Heaven. Lo and behold, Piers and I get chosen to go in and, well:

Later, he invites me over to his house, where we talk it all over, about how we feel and about Queen. We listen to A Night At The Opera together and I dance a lot, reliving those beautiful memories. I even confess to Piers I used to be hopelessly in love with Freddie Mercury, to which he says he doesn't blame me, that the man was an absolute legend and very attractive. I tell him it's not like that anymore right as Love Of My Life starts playing, that there's a another musician I like. Piers asks me what is he like and I just start describing him, leaning in more and more. Then Piers asks, one of his hands in my face, moving my hair away from my face: "Do you know if he likes anybody? Maybe a cute thicc autistic girl who loves cats, Queen and death metal?". I blush and tell him "I dunno...". He leans in closer and says "He does" and BAM! Big Damn Kiss!

6: Bodyguard Crush: How does your F/O make you feel safe?

Outdoors, Raihan always walks in front of me, holding my hand and calling his Pokemon out if necessary. Will shield/protect me, it's part of his instinct.

Indoors, Raihan will basically drown me in his huge form in a spooning position in bed, whispering sweet nothings to me. I love it so much because he's just so big~

Piers always goes out with me for whatever. If he can't come, he makes his Pokemon accompany me. Obstagoon is such a big cuddle bear and he ADORES me, so he's always pleased to accompany me during me going out for groceries or something.

Indoors, he sings to me and keeps me in his arms, praising and reassuring me when I cry. He says he'll never judge me or belittle my feelings.

im so glad people actually asked stuff, this au secretly means a lot to me. okay guys.

in a galar where pokemon don't exist (sorry) the gym leaders do the fighting themselves in the ring. leon is the galar league champion with 16 title reigns under his belt. weight divisions for the top three go as follows: piers: flyweight, raihan: middleweight, leon: heavyweight.

fighting usually goes by weight class (duh) but sometimes a catchweight division fight will be set up. this is how piers can still fight raihan and /technically/ have it still be a legal fight despite the two being wildly out of each other's weight class.

I really wanna incorporate leon'a fight with eternatus somehow and I was thinking of making this really beefed-up just fucking...insane guy represent eternatus and have it be leon's last fight before he has to leave. the fight would leave him irreversibly brain damaged and unable to continue fighting. sonia is very glad he can't fight anymore (but upset it had to happen this way) and everyone from the league visits him while he's in the hospital. piers is especially moved by this and sees the condition leon is in and decides to retire right there because he can't have marnie see him end up like that too.

It's bittersweet I think, but I want the whole league to slowly crumble as soon as leon leaves. their champion is gone so people aren't as invested anymore, rose loses his company, and everyone goes on to living normal lives.

I want a special little moment where rose tries to gather everyone up to fight again and leon gets so upset that he punches him in the gut for even trying, that is very important to me also.

Prank Gone Wrong

You would pull pranks on Raihan at least once a month. It was easy to do since you are a magician. Your current prank includes you making it look like a demon possessing you. It went too far because your arm had almost snapped, but your Gengar left your body before that could happen. Raihan was so upset and angry that you thought that would be funny. You decided that you would stay at Melony's house for a while so that Raihan could have his space. You did get a lecture from Melony. Once he was ready to talk things over you promised that you wouldn't do a prank like that ever again. You two even made and signed a written contract just to be sure. And you two spent the day watching tv.

You were an illusionist type of magician. You could make it appear that you were missing a finger up to making a whole Pokémon disappear. You did use your abilities to your advantage when it comes to pranking Piers. You thought it would be funny to make it seem like you had just cut off your finger. You and Piers were making dinner and you let out a yelp. He asks you if you were alright. You said no and showed him the "damage". He went paler than he already is as he tried to put pressure on it with a paper towel. You felt bad when you told him that it was a prank. You started apologizing as your finger reappeared. You were also crying at this point. You ended up locking yourself in your shared bedroom sobbing. Luckily his Obstagoon was in there and comforted you by holding you on the bed. After you finished crying and fell asleep was when Piers entered the room. He let the Pokémon know that he will take over and he just laid you down on the bed and tucked you in. He positioned himself under the blanket and he just held you throughout the night not planning on letting you go.

I think all three of us have pretty different senses of humors, but it just mixes really well- by the end of any of our calls my face usually is hurting from smiling/laughing too much- (@bastartjack, @ashleycakegamin I'm suing you both for hospital bills for being too funny btw), Ash doesn't crack as many jokes as jack but her timing is always perfect and makes me laugh every time as well, or it's just really subtle, stuff like:
