Tyra Kleen (March 29, 1874 - 1951) was a Swedish artist, writer, Bohemian figure and well-traveled adventurer and ethnographer. She studied art at a half-dozen different Academies and art-schools in Karlsruhe, Munich and Paris in the 1890s. From 1897 she lived in Rome and kept a studio there for about a decade. During that time she published a novel, under the pseudonym of “Isis”, about Bohemian life in Rome.
Later she traveled extensively in the Orient and produced drawings and book illustrations inspired by the cultures she experienced, usually in a Symbolist, art nouveau style.

A long motivating list of celebrities who have admitted to using manifesting/shifting practices
Believe it or not, some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry have harnessed the power of manifesting to help get to the top. From athletes to actors and singers, there is no shortage of big names who have used this powerful method of change to turn their dreams into reality.
Beyoncé is a celebrity who openly talks about manifesting and shifting her emotions to create a world that makes her happy and successful. She believes in expressing herself through song and art and believes that those forms of creativity have helped her to create an amazing career.
Leonardo DiCaprio has also been vocal about how he uses manifesting and shifting practices in his own life. He says that by visualizing his goals, he's able to set himself up for success, making sure to focus on the good that comes from any situation.
Next we have, Oprah Winfrey. According to one of the most influential women in show business, she used a visualization technique called "The Law of Attraction" to manifest her success. She said, "The Law of Attraction says that whatever you think or feel, you attract into your life. I use this philosophy daily and have achieved great success."
Another star who has shared their success story is actor Will Smith. The award-winning actor said that manifesting how his future would look was an important factor in his success. He said, “I would literally forget what my goals were and start imagining myself achieving them. This created a strong feeling within me, allowing for a stronger connection to the Universe and helped me access greater opportunities."
Singer Ariana Grande also admitted that she has used manifesting techniques to reach her goals. In one interview, she said, “I practiced positive thinking and visualizing what I wanted during those times when I was going through hardships and it really worked. Little by little, I saw my life become what I wanted it to be." has been open about her journey with manifesting. She says, “If you are constantly affirmatively speaking — even if it's out loud — ‘I'm going to make this happen’, your energy shifts and you start to become magnetic and draw those experiences to you."
Emma Chamberlain who was literally one and maybe still is a YouTube sensation is also a self-proclaimed manifestor. She is often seen talking about how she uses manifesting and shifting to get the most out of her life. Chamberlain has been open and candid about her success and how she believes in the power of bringing your dreams into reality.
In her videos, she has talked about how she visualizes what she wants and then takes steps to make it happen. She has also said that when things don't go as planned, she shifts her energy to get what she wants. Chamberlain believes that these techniques give her an advantage and help her create the life that she wants for herself.
Melanie Martinez who become well-known for her hit single "Cry Baby" as well has her own eponymous album. She is also a self-professed manifestor and has said that she believes in the power of intention and shift to bring her dreams into reality. Martinez has said that through visualization, meditation and setting intentions, she has been able to create the life that she always wanted. She also has openly talking about shifting realities !
Chris Pratt, the star of movies like Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy. Chris recently spoke out about his faith and specifically about how he uses manifesting and shifting practices in his everyday life. He says that every day he writes down what he wants for his future and visualizes having it and spoke about the power of belief.
Model, actress and entrepreneur Tyra Banks also shared her story of manifestation. “I've always believed in manifestation. You know when you're a kid, you decide what you want to be and you go do it? I just always do that. It's not so much hard work, it's affirming. You affirm what you want and you work hard."
actor Ashton Kutcher wrote a heartfelt post on manifesting: “If ‘you manifest your dreams’ means having faith that if you believe something in your head and heart and take actions towards making it a reality, then that has been my experience.”
This one shocked me but Chris brown (ew) also had something to say about shifting and manifesting. He said Well, I use both of these tools daily. Whenever I have an idea or goal that I want to achieve, I focus on it completely. I visualize it, speak my desires out loud, and take action to make it happen. This helps me stay motivated and allows me to put my energy into what I really want.
I also use shifting to stay positive and creative. Whenever I'm feeling down or uninspired, I focus on positive thoughts and visualize what I want to achieve. This helps me shift my energy and get into a more creative headspace so that I can create the best work possible.
He said “My biggest tip would be to practice self-care and take time for yourself. When you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed, take a step back and focus on how you're feeling physically and emotionally. It's important to take care of yourself so that you can stay focused on your goals and manifest the things that you want in life.” I guess I’m not shocked because it would explain how he has gotten away with so much abuse and bigotry during his career.. but I digress.
Katy Perry has also spoken out about how she turned her dream of being a successful singer into a reality by using manifesting practices. To this day, she continues to use these practices to reach her goals. Taylor swift also admitted to doing something very similar and has her own manifesting method when she was a child.
NBA superstar LeBron James. Is also a celebrities who has openly shared his beliefS about his success. He recently revealed that he uses visualization techniques to help him reach his goals - from on-court performance to off-court business endeavors.
Jackie Chan also uses meditation and mindful exercises that he had admitted helped him a grove everything he wanted in this life.
Finally, professional athlete Kobe Bryant was open about his use of manifesting techniques to achieve his goals. He revealed that he used visualization techniques and positive thoughts to help reach his goals. He said, “By visualizing yourself doing something before you even attempt it, you can increase your confidence when you actually do it. This can help you become an even better athlete or performer."

In preparation for Anthrocon, I put together a bunch of character sheets for my OCs! Even got ticks on them to show if it's alright to draw TF or NSFW art of each of them! Got them printed and laminated during the con and they were immensely useful for both giving references AND showing off my characters. A bunch of people were likewise inspired to do the same for their characters ^^
The vast majority of the artwork on these sheets are my own, but for the ones that aren't, I'll add credit right below!
Top Left sepia-toned Eris: Andy Price (commissioned in 2019)
Bottom Right Mirage: JadedJynx (original designer of the character for Ponycon 2017)
Right Ebony the Hare: @jorrated
Left most Tyra: Watsup
Center most Tyra: SepiSnake

How Hot are Tarot’s Kings & Queens?
The King of Wands
He leads the pack. His face is naturally attractive. His body is usually between bulky and slender, making him the perfect size, per society’s standards. The way he carries himself is the ideal blend of carefree and sultry. In his current age, he is the likes of Brad Pitt. Back as a knight, he was Stefanos Tsitsipas in sports and Damon Salvatore in fiction.
The King of Cups
This king is not always physically attractive. He may be too skinny, too fat or too short for most of society. But even so, his sex appeal, intelligence or mysteriousness usually puts him on par with the King of Wands. Leonardo DiCaprio was a Knight of Wands who matured into a King of Cups. Keanu Reeves is another example.
The King of Pentacles
Objectively, he is just as — if not more — attractive than the King of Wands. But due to his funny or nice guy image, he is never quite as magnetic as the first two. There is just no enigma that draws. This king tends to be very bulky. He is Marvel’s Thor, and Henry Cavill. Jason Momoa is another, though his character Khal Drogo is a King of Wands.
The King of Swords
He is the least attractive. When the King of Cups presents as distant, he comes off as mysterious and thus even more enticing. When the King of Wands does the same, he comes off as a bad boy — a type many are drawn to. But when this king does so, he becomes invisible or repelling. Think Severus Snape, Stannis Baratheon and BBC’s Uther Pendragon.
The Queen of Wands
Leading the pack with natural beauty and a loud personality to match is the Queen of Wands. She was Angelina Jolie back when she was being portrayed as the other woman. She is Katherine Pierce and a younger Cersei Lannister in fiction. She is Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks with their very public feud.
The Queen of Cups
She is also beautiful. But her beauty is considered safe, compared to the Queen of Wands’. In other words, she looks like an angel, not a homewrecker. She is actress Anne Hathaway and The Lord of the Rings’ Arwen. A younger version would be Sansa Stark or Daenerys Targaryen in the earlier parts of the series.
The Queen of Swords
She wants no man. And if we consider only her average to above-average looks, we would assume it is because she knows no man would want her back anyway. But such is not the case. Her strength, cruelty or intelligence makes her attractive to many. She is Bellatrix Lestrange in fiction; and Sigourney Weaver, courtesy of her infamous tough woman roles.
The Queen of Pentacles
She does not look terrible. She is on par with the Queen of Swords, though she is far more feminine, of course. But nobody marries her for passion. Men look at her and think she would be a loyal wife and a caring mother. That is all. She is how Jennifer Aniston was portrayed by Brangelina’s fans. She is Catelyn Stark, when compared to Cersei Lannister.

After buying Aseprite with the intention of using it for 2D gamedev, I decided to acclimate myself with the program by drawing Tyra! Drawn overtop an imported and downscaled base sketch, and adhering to the AAP-64 palette for its earthy tones as well as room for cooler hues should I continue the theme.

Dork Diaries 15 Thoughts
Alright so I read the latest dork diaries, and while it’s cute. I’m left with more questions than answers.
When I rereading the series last year, I wrote that I felt by the 10th book, Russell was dragging it out and had lost sense of its original charm. Or I lost my nostalgia. Either way, it is dragging on and this case was no exception.
There is a minor incident that Nikki overdramatically feels like it’s her fault when it really isn’t a big deal except for the requisite Mackenzie blackmail plot device. Which is never brought up again.
Nikki and her friends don’t actually go to the titular Paris until halfway through the book as Russell fills it up with other minor incidents and overdramatic airport chaos hysterics.
Paris is great except Mackenzie trying to steal Nikki’s place in the photo-shoot and Brandon-Andre-Nikki love triangle miscommunication. The former is annoying, the latter was predictable but not too bad. The best parts was Nikki’s mistranslation mishap, and she and Mackenzie getting lost in the catacombs. I do like how Russell managed to fit in info of major Parisian sights so kids can learn about how tres chic and amazing it is. I also liked the art style shift in some drawings as Nikki experiments with fashion illustration.
Now for my questions, and slight disappointments. I feel like the continuity is getting glossed over. Theo who was by far the nerdiest and dorkiest of the band originally (remember Nikki drew him as the human equivalent to Spongebob?), well now he has a glow-up and isn’t it basketball instead of wizarding. Okay, I guess people can change over the year but it feels so sudden in the art and the personality.
Also the Chloe, Zoey, Theo and Marcus pairings are completely gone. I guess they got over their crushes to each other even though them asking each other out to the Valentines Day dance was so sweet. But nope.
I just miss it, and them being librarian volunteers and Nikki's excitment over Tyra Banks or her advice column and other stuff that made this series feel grounded.
Also I'm just so tired of Mackenzie popping up as an obstacle like her trying to sabotoge Nikki to get a spot in the photoshoot. It makes no sense. Even if Nikki wasn't there, they would replace her with Mackenzie because she's NOT IN THE BAND. It's totally implausible. I know she's rich and gets away with stuff but it's becoming so unrealistic and annoying.
And remember the big secret of Brandon’s parents and his past? I remember it being brought up in books 4 & 5 and it was implied there was a reason that Brandon was so good at french relating to that. This would have been an excellent chance to have some of that mysterious past revealed but nope. Not a word. I actually wonder if Russell forgot about it?
In fact the whole Brandon and Nikki situation is the most drawn out ever and I’m starting to think that Russell is retconning it to the beginning. Nikki is still wondering if they’re friends or MORE than friends when after being kissed by him, going to the dance with him, his obvious jealousy of Andre, and going on actual dates, I think this position is quite clear. But Russell hits them squarely with the friends phrasing and minor interactions that make me feel she is holding them back. They’ve gone through such big moments and now it feels like they’re regressing, not progressing.
Know what else is regressing? Even though the whole series is about Nikki’s eighth grade year at school, and this book takes us to the end of Aug, there is absolutely no mention of high school. Unless NY schools work differently, 9th grade should be high school and then this series would be out of items reading demographic and thus an excellent time to finish the series.
But Nikki only says they’re returning to school, no pressure or worrying about big bad high school. Just school.
So is Russell retconning this too? In her a acknowledgements she says she's excited to introduce a new generation to Nikki's dork dairies so is she going to be an eternal eight grader?
Also Nikki in general has regressed and I feel she has learned nothing about appreciating what she has or freaking communication in general.
Yeah I think I have definately aged out of this since I'm so focused on these questions instead of enjoying it for what it is.
