Shoot two evaluation
styling: as touched upon previously i chose to keep the styling of my model fairly simple with the aim to not over saturate my images and maintain a strong and clear focal point that emphasises the stickers as they were the sole aspect in communicating my aesthetic and theme. Additionally, as i was also working with her bright hair colour this was definitely the correct choice to prevent overcrowding my images with too many contrasting colours and losing focus, therefore proving effective in the final outcome.
editing: within the editing process i took inspiration from Tyler Kohlhoff and Lana Jay Lackey for Seditions magazine as their film photography reel edited pieces caught my eye within my research for this shoot. Therefore, I edited some of my images within a kodak photo frame and am very pleased with the effect as I want to maintain a personal feel throughout my work. This genre of photography is associated with private and personal themes, hopefully making my work feel more relatable and furthering my publication's message. Additionally, in my previous shoot I edited using a polaroid frame and would like to carry on this concept across all shoots included in my publication.
overall: this shoot outcome was really effective and compliments my concept well both aesthetically and contextually, it feels eerie and fun yet cute and expressive which embodies the message i want to convey through my work. Showing that it is not just okay but empowering and beautiful to express your perceived 'weird', playful side in adult womanhood. Additionally, for this shoot i used the studio which i really enjoy the effect of as i was able to use lights to reduce shadow and create a soft hue to the images, i also prefer the simplistic background to that of an on location one so will continue to proceed with studio shoots.
