//tw- mentions of pedophilia, csem, csa, and lolicon
Guys, please please please don’t use the term CSEM to refer to fictional pornographic drawings that involve fictional characters who are depicted as minors
I can’t believe I have to say this, but I’ve seen too many people, just in the past 24 hours, use the term to describe porn that someone drew
Holy shit, lolicon and the like is not CSEM, CSAM, or CP just because a hypothetical and fictional minor is involved in the art. Those terms are specifically used when talking about real sexual abuse cases involving real-world minors.
Fiction cannot be CSEM because it doesn’t involve the direct sexual exploitation and abuse of a real minor! The creation of these pieces of media do not involve the direct harm of a real minor!
Just say “lolicon” or “fictional porn involving fictional minors”. Just use something, ANYTHING, that isn’t used to specifically identify real life abuse materials! Please just don’t use a term that has this much seriousness attached to it as a means of labeling fictional content that you don’t like, even if it triggers you!
You being uncomfortable doesn’t justify the misuse of a term that is used to directly describe abuse, and it makes real victims of CSEM feel like shit when you label some random anime girl as a “victim” right next to them. Because, get this, when you label something fictional as CSEM, CSAM, or CP, you are inherently insinuating that there is a victim involved in the creation of this media, which is inherently untrue with fiction. STOP DOING THIS!!!

At this point I don't even really care if someone thinks loli/shotacon is gross, but I really do care when someone calls it CP or CSEM, especially in a context where it's initially unclear whether they're referring to actual, real CSEM of a child who was inherently abused and exploited or...an anime character. Like, even if you think it's gross, surely there's a big difference between these things, right? Right??

reporting a teenager for csem when it's just two teenagers being horny is fucked up by the way. in some states that could land them on the sex offender list and it's almost impossible to get off of there once youre on.

Boku No Pico is trending on TT.
Tumblr media
And there's literal children calling it "CP" or that it's "illegal to watch".
Tumblr media
Boku No Pico is publicly available to watch online right now in like two clicks. YouTubers did reaction videos to it and those videos are still up to this day. It's not illegal at all actually, or else the voice actors, animators, and distributors would all be in jail (or at the very least publicly ostracized by everyone online.)
Tumblr media
Oh and of course this is bringing out the stupid gringos who think anime porn is included in the LAW. (good on them for using the correct term at least...)
And these types too:
Tumblr media
Which is just so funny right? Haha dark humor yeah let's laugh at the nukes bombed Japan because... stupid anime porn exists?
All of this to say... Boku No Pico wasn't even a good porn y'all, it was mid at best, I don't even like yaoi... I remember watching PewDiePie's reaction video to it and then searching it up myself and it was just kinda "eh". However, very cool that the VA for the adult man in BNP later on voiced Kakyoin in JJBA! Talk about a career glowup!

please please please please PLEASE I am BEGGING people:
stop using terms meant for abusive material of actual children when you referring to content of fictional characters. You are implying that fictional characters are as much victims as the actual children who are abused when CSEM is made of them.
You are not helping victims as much as you might think you are by doing this. Knock it off.

Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question, but are there any blogs for people that are ex-anti? I used to be one since I was in my mid-teens, but given how anti culture has shifted, I've spent the past few months re-examining my place in the community and find that I no longer fit in, if I ever really did.
I think I was drawn to a lot of the critical and analytical aspects of it bc I'm an obnoxious nerd and like to be Loud and Annoying about my opinions. However, as the community progressed, I started becoming uncomfortable by others with my (perceived) shared stances as they would use it as justification to bully, harass, and encourage proshippers to kill themselves. Not all of them do that, but as we've all seen, too many of them do and it really sucks. I have also never fully bought into the idea that what someone enjoys in fiction, no matter how deplorable, automatically equates to what they are irl. At worst, I had some misguided notions about people's capabilities to make healthy choices for themselves and that's as far as my concern about ships went.
I think the final straw for me is antis sending CSEM material to the moderators at AO3 as well as a situation antis were apparently circulating CSEM of a proshipper from when they were being abused at age three. That's just beyond horrific.
Sorry for the text wall! I hope you have a good day.
Heya! No such thing as a dumb question, so no worries. To answer your question though, I don't actually know if there are any blogs out there specifically for ex-antis.
My blog is a safe space for folks trying to get out of those toxic circles, and I know a few other proshippers out there are also happy to give ex-antis a judgment-free place to start over, talk about their experiences, or just exist.
⭐ Hey! If you're a proshipper who is chill with ex-antis, please consider reblogging this! ⭐
And in case you need to hear it today, anon: you did good. It can hard to break away from environments like that, where people are kept in check through paranoia, fear, and the risk of being totally ostracized. I'm glad you were able to step away from that. ♡

Btw i do block anti para discoursers. If u believe in thought crime you're going to annoy the shit out of me if you're not just full on trying to harm people who aren't doing anything wrong. And I don't want someone like you around me. Also it feels like abuse apologia and false conflation of a thought or feeling with abuse. And that is cruel to victims of abuse.
only exception is if we're mutuals and you in good faith want to learn more about why the idea of thought crime is BAD NEWS. Oh yeah and it puts innocent people behind bars, and i don't mean for stuff like csem which actually is abuse. What I'm referring to is known as Obscenity Law in the US, barring the possession or distribution of ANY generally legal pornography if it "doesn't align with your community's values" and "is obscene/gross" and "has no artistic merit," all of which are extremely subjective and up to judges, juries, and lawyers. Don't panic though, furries and bdsm likers and lolicon havers. These things alone are not illegal, and you cannot be charged for obscenity law unless someone specifically goes through the effort to take you to court with an incredibly good lawyer. Basically, unless you think that someone who has legally obtained proof (e.g: not stolen, etc.), a lot of money, and a burning hate for you, and you live in a very conservative community, the chances you will ever have to deal with obscenity law are extremely low to none.

So. Antis found the survey. Let's take a look. CW: mentions of self-harm, eating disorders, substance abuse, and CSEM.
Tumblr media
Yes, let's equate using fiction to cope with trauma to self harm and eating disorders. That's totally not a bad take that's been disproven multiple times.
Tumblr media
A few things wrong with this. One; using the term "child porn" when referring to fan works. "Porn" implies consent. Living, breathing children cannot consent. Two; to my knowledge, American law dictates that drawings don't count as CSEM. Three; Employers usually don't care that much about your taste in fiction. If they're worth a damn, they'll want to protect their employee against harassment, or they'll laugh it off. Even so, threats by antis to get people fired over fandom stuff have rarely gone through, from what the responses to the employment question tells me.
This survey is NOT a public forum. Nobody's going to see your responses except for me.

I hate most of all how a trauma response to csa can be seeking out sexual things that feel illegal just to remind you about your trauma its like you have to indulge in those things again, sex has to feel wrong and dirty because thats what it felt like when you where a child. It felt illegal and they made you like it and now you do. You dont. But it hurts so much and it makes you do things that make you repulsed with yourself. youve hurt things. not severely, and it was only on one occasion, it lasted for a second. I was 11 and didnt even know i had csa trauma. But that doesnt make the stain on my consciousness go away. I dryhumped a cat for a moment. Just once and then i felt horrible and let it go. I just can't forget it it makes me feel so sick i wish i could rip my skin off im a horrible fucking person i hate sexual intrusive thoughts with my entire soul i wish i could fucking sear them out of my mind forever i wish i could drown myself in bleach i hate it so much i dont want to be evil.
But even then you feel like no body would ever understand you, theyd hear that you used to only be able to masturbate to loli hentai bc you wanted your trauma to repeat itself and to be a child again so you can be raped again and theyll think your a fucked up demented psycho and theyll hate you no one ever wants to understand the much darker way csa can affect your brain. I hate sexual intrusive thoughts i wish a part of me never kept whispering how badly i want to be the victim of illegal sexual acts, because i dont i dont i know i dont i dont want to be stabbed and chopped up i dont want to do any of those horrible things i just want to be able to seperate what i really want from this fucked up sickness that they fucking infected me with. I was a child and i wish i couldve been a normal one. I wish i never turned out like this.
We relate heavily to this. I don’t know if it helps to hear but we have done something similar to our cat some years ago, just for a second there too. Still feel awful about it today and I think this is the first time ever admitting to that.

//tw- csa, csem, lolisho
Tumblr media
That’s honestly a really good point @piku5637
It really does wast peoples’ time though, regardless of what country you’re from. Even if lolisho is illegal in your country, the issue of reports made against media such as this takes away valuable resources from cases of real csa. That fact cannot go unsaid in my opinion.
And people really should see that lolisho and the like can be used to prevent real children from getting harmed. There’s a lot of evidence that proves that fact as being true. Regardless of someone’s individual opinion on this kind of fiction, it is not at all equal to CSEM and csa. It doesn’t hurt anyone in the process of creation or consumption, unlike CSEM. I personally despise lolisho and adjacent media, but it doesn’t get rid of logical thinking when discussing this topic.

Thought for a minute the largest public platform that hosts CSEM of me was down maybe for good and was relieved .
But AO3 is still up. My hell is still written by my abuser.
It is shared in circles of those who enjoy kid’s suffering. I know other survivors with my same experience. Many who have tired to contact the platform without result.
CSEM is in spaces you don’t want to think it is. It is a non-zero chance that you by mistake may have read this thinking its get another story. Especially when your platform may not prioritize survivors over absolute freedom of speech.
To clarify again the content describing how my abusers abused me as a child. Mostly one of them has made a name for himself in certain spaces by publishing retellings of the events for years and I’ve had to follow with take down requests every year since. And AO3 is the one of the only platforms not catered specifically to spread of CSEM that has been the WORST in lack of response.
Not an attack on you if you engage with the site but a warning I guess? My abusers publish under different usernames barely changing the events of time they hurt children changing their name ( sometimes not all the time)to random child characters at times that the person liked as a child as a form of control.
I started having to engage with this and not ignore it because I realized people with no connection to my abuser were incidentally finding the material and thinking it was fiction. People were finding it and sharing it thinking it’s just like anything else, reading my pain, often maybe engaging with it sexually unaware it is CSEM.
Maybe! I’d like AO3 to stop allowing the general population to access the Worst Time of my life for gratification. Maybe I wouldn’t like to see comments about it. Or even if I could confidently say no one so wasn’t setting out to read the contents of my police report from my abusers view not wanting to.
Sorry but yeah, I’m not fond of it! Or any platform that allows sexual content of minors, especially without a believe survivor’s first policy. And possibly if I see someone donating to AO3 I will want to scream.
I really am of the opinion that in order to prevent CSEM from being wildly shared, material for sexual gratification describing kids needs more HEAVY review. And if you’re not going to moderate it insanely well and prioritize survivors you don’t need to allow that content. Otherwise yes people with less than stellar goals will use it as a safe haven.
But yeah sorry. If you like AO3 maybe considering Just Not Donating, or engaging with sexual content involving child characters while their mod team is rough that’d be cool .

just heard another person say minor nsfw is not CSEM. sooo
read this; specifically, this part
Tumblr media
Child sexual Exploitation material that is containing fictional characters is still dangerous because it actively can be used to groom minors and make sexualization of minors in demand and more normalized.

Watched that ao3 video, and goodness gracious????????
Tumblr media
I 100% agree with the creator that divesting from AO3 isn't enough. People, mainly people who aren't affected by the pernicious aspects of fandom but make no moves to condemn them, need to ask themselves why they are okay with enabling the level of harm that goes on under that "maximum inclusiveness of CSEM and bigotry but not people of color and minors" edict that many fandom spaces irl and online have upheld for years. They need to ask themselves, "Why am I okay with looking away when people of color are silenced, ostracized, and harassed out of these spaces?" If your escapism comes at the cost of actual people, if minors and people of color either need to be harmed in silence or pushed out for being too vocal about the harm they experience, what are you actually escaping from? If these "safe spaces" are only safe if you never hear from people harmed within them, then who are they "safe" for? If you're okay with sharing your works (fic, art, cosplay), etc., with people who actively harm marginalized people within the space, but you ignore and shun former victims of these spaces for speaking out because their stories make you sad and feel icky? You are complicit in the harm being done, period. Despite what some popular "fandom historians" might tell you, there is no "centrist" stance here. Either you are okay with sharing these spaces with groomers and bigots or you're not. There is no middle ground.
