I'm watching Turn for the first time and I'm having some thoughts here.

1. If I have to watch John Andre fingerbang someone in public one more time, I'm going to lose it.

2. Just watched S1E7 (the one with the duel I believe) and the 👏 absolute 👏 chokehold 👏 this man has on me...

I'm sorry, but fuck me he's gorgeous. (Also the way she said his name and the way he said she's mine.) 👀💀

turn week day 2: content creator appreciation day!

i thought i’d do a turn blogs rec list for today, because whenever i force a friend to watch turn (which i’ve done to at LEAST 3 people and plan to do to many more hehe), they always ask me for blogs to follow since it’s a small fandom and it can be hard to find it if you’re not already in it. so!! here are (a few of) the turn blogs i’ve followed for ages and who, in my humble opinion, are staples of this fandom 💖

1. @tallmadgeandtea for her “turn and teas” where she watches and live blogs episodes of turn - they are SO funny and i love reading them the next morning like the morning paper and spam liking every post lol. but also, for her ben x oc content, which is amazing and i highly recommend!

2. @honorhearted for the best RP portrayal of ben i’ve ever seen!!

3. @musicboxmemories for incredible takes on pretty much every character! and for her excellent fics hehe

4. @rhogeminid / @johngravessimcoe the resident simcoe expert! no one understands simcoe like they do!! and also, great art :3

5. @enchi-elm for excellent turn meta and fics! they can somehow write every single character perfectly.

6. @turnwashingtonsbaddies LITERALLY the funniest turn memes blog. idk what it is about their memes but i actually cackle out loud when i see some of them. turn is a comedy and no one understands this more than user turnwashingtonsbaddies

@hmsannlett for great fics and hewlett x anna content (which is MUCH needed, i love them so much)

The AmRev fandom definitely has subgroups. I'll name a few I feel like I've seen. Are there any I missed? I'd say that the Hamilton fandom is separate since it's so big but there's definitely overlap.

• 1776: This subgroup enjoys 1776 and is focused on the politics during the war and founding fathers. 1776 is like the second evolution of Hamilton because the group members have witnessed those fandom horrors. Now the fandom horrors created by the 1776 subgroup are tastefully cringe but still historical /lh.

• Lams: "Nothing lasts forever" well Lams has been a thing since the dawn of time /j. What I mean is that this subgroup is always going strong! They are powerful.

• Rev War: Focuses on the military side of the revolution. This subgroup loves battles and generals, especially the more obscure stuff. Washington's aides are also included!

• Federal Era: This subgroup focus on politics of the 1790s to 1820s. The Democratic- Republicans rule this subgroup since Jefferson Madison and Monroe were all presidents. John Adams lurks...

• 2020-2022 core group: This subgroup used to dominate AmRev tumblr. Many are still active but usually don't focus on AmRev in posts anymore.

• TURN Washington's Spies: This subgroup enjoys TURN :) and all the little things in it (except Benedict Arnold)
