It’s literally no secret that Kade is my favorite Tumblebrutus. He just embodies everything I love about the character, his design, his dancing, his personality, just absolutely everything. I love him so so much, and every single time I think of Tumblebrutus, or I imagine him while writing, it’s always Kade’s Tumble.

And Georgina is just… she’s one of my favorite Cats actresses overall, and the video of her performing the Conjuring Turns during that one performance when Ricky was injured pretty much cemented her as my dream casting for Hestia because the Conjuring Turns become one of Hestia’s signature moves, just like her papa! The way she’s so graceful, her interpretations of Victoria’s character, I just know she would be the most perfect choice for my girl.

And the two of them together just 😭 i know they’d do Tumbletta the justice they deserve

There's a field a little ways away from the Junkyard, an area that's clear of any junk or trash. There's a small stream that sometimes runs through it, and in the springtime, wildflowers bloom all around, creating a sweet, soft place to rest. Tumblebrutus likes taking Hestia to the field whenever one of them gets overwhelmed or they just want to spend time together. It's their spot, a place where they can cuddle, talk, or take naps in the sun.

Demestrap:

Munkustrap takes super long showers near the end of the week, because it's his wind-down time, when he just gets to sit and take a few deep breaths!

Casslonzo:

Cassandra, esp. when it's a hair-washing day for her. Plus, I just feel like she'd be the type of person to have at least a twelve step shower routine, and honestly i love that for her

Tumbletta:

Hestia, ESPECIALLY when she and Tumblebrutus get their own place. the poor girl had to share a bathroom with six other girls and never got time for a nice, long shower

however, if it's around dance show season, they both take very long showers because the hot water helps their muscles relax after a day of dancing!

Happy anniversary to Hestia, the oc that brought us together and was the start of a beautiful friendship ❤ For the questions, what parts of Hestia's character have you changed since creating her? What is your favorite headcanon regarding her and her dads, along with Tumble and Jojo?

always grateful to hestia and jubilee for bringing us together <3

Hestia's changed quite a bit over the past three years, and this year really feels like the time where all the pieces fell into place and she felt like a completed character!

When i first started creating her, she barely had any magic, and the only actual characteristics she had were "shy and macavity's daughter". i also, when i first created her, paired her up with Pouncival! This was because Hestia was based off of another OC i had made for a crossover fic, so it was really just taking that character and making her into a Cats OC

i mean, now, my girl has a WHOLE lot more to her!! i actually gave her specific magical abilities, which then ofc gives her a lil internal conflict about her parentage and everything!! she's also got a lovely little host of siblings that she's adopted bc her hugs are magic <3

her and Tumblebrutus' relationship has been my favorite thing to elaborate on and explore, especially since i've realized how perfectly they parallel Tuggoffelees! of course, i don't make them identical, but there are little bits of how i hc Tuggoffelees acting within how i write Tumbletta!

now for favorite hcs!!!!

Hestia has a little chest of drawers in her den where she keeps her gifts from Tumblebrutus. He loves finding sparkly or shiny things, like pretty rocks or beads, or little discarded piece of jewlery. he'll clean them up and bring them to Hestia with a beaming smile, and she'll tuck them away in her drawers. When Charon and Anthea are born, she takes out a few of her favorite little gifts and puts them onto collars for their kids, and it absolutely makes Tumble cry when he realizes what they are!

Hestia was the CLINGIEST little kitten. She was so spoiled by her dad and papa, because they absolutely indulged her and carried her around everywhere. It was partially because she was such a little kitten, partially because of the trauma surrounding her birth and how she was found, and partially because she was just so adorable. Tugger loved cuddling his little princess, wrapping her up in his arms and tucking her into his mane to keep her warm. Mistoffelees would curl up around her, especially if they were in the den, just tucking her against him and keeping her entertained by letting little sparkles float around her head.

Hestia and Jubilee absolutely have books that they read together! At least once a week, they go into the library together, and curl up on Jubilee's little window seat. Sometimes they read longer books together, other times they'll read shorter books, but it's their special time. They'll giggle over the characters together, point out which characters remind them of their toms or their fathers, and just enjoy each other's company. Sometimes they'll read separate books, but still stay curled up together, occasionally pointing out something to the other in their own book. They don't mind sitting in silence, because they care more about each other's company than any filler conversation <3

How would Tumble take care of Hestia when she's sick?

he is very much a mother hen!!!!

i think that a holdover from his time on the streets is that when a cat he loves is sick or injured, Tumblebrutus goes into caretaker mode, and will not stop until he's helped the cat.

Hestia got very sick one time, and it happened after she went overboard with her magic. She passed out, and was on bedrest for about a week. Tumblebrutus barely left her side, cuddling with her, telling her stories, and just taking care of her.

I do think that Hestia also got sick a few times when she was pregnant with Charon, and then again when she was pregnant with Anthea. It was a mix of the unborn kitten's magic mixing with hers, and regular pregnancy things, and at that point, Tumblebrutus was in FULLY overprotective mother hen mode, so he was running around for days trying to find things to help Hestia.

Luckily, Hestia's also the only one who can break him out of the habit, so whenever she noticed he started getting a little too intense, she just held his paws tightly, had him look at her, and talked him through everything.

Tumbletta (Tumblebrutus and Hestia):

"Friends Don't" by Maddie & Tae will ALWAYS be one of the main songs I associate with Tumblebrutus and Hestia. Their relationship is the ultimate pining childhood friends to lovers, it just takes a while for them to confess their feelings because they don't want to ruin their relationship with their favorite person.

also, "Love" by Nancy Adams is 100% a Tumbletta song, it's just so sweet and soft, and I can absolutely see tha being the song Tumblebrutus and Hestia dance to at their wedding 😭

ok ok one more because i have way too many for my beloved OTP, and because i just thought of this one after rereading some of our Human AU ideas, "All I Ask of You" from Phantom just SCREAMS Tumbletta, it's the two of them after confessing their feelings, they're just giggly and holding hands, and being so sappy and in love with each other. also bc you know why 👀

Quasinette (Quasi and Antoinette):

the first one is "Something Good" from The Sound of Music, it's just the ultimate Quasinette song, for when the two of them are finally safe and away from Macavity's clutches, just holding each other as tightly as possible, and realizing that "oh shit, we're here, we're okay, how do i deserve you?"

and the second one is from TikTok, because @hufferysnuffery (both of these songs are because of them, it's all their fault) likes to see me in pain, it's called "I just really miss your face" and it's a song i think about happening either after Quasi discovers Antoinette is a double agent for Macavity, or after Antoinette fakes his death and Quasi is thinking back on their relationship. either way, a n g s t

Cettiebug (Etcetera and Jitterbug):

"Introducing Me" by Nick Jonas gives off very strong Cettie vibes, once she and Jitter start talking about their feelings for each other, Cettie gets so excited that she lists off everything she thinks is interesting about herself, because it makes JItterbug giggle, and Cettie can't stop smiling!

Mielapat (Miela and Coricopat):

"When He Sees Me" by Sara Bareilles, specifically first date Miela and Cori, because as confident as my girl is, she still gets first date jitters, and I can see @rainbowratsstuff's Rooster helping her out and cheering her on!

that moment where your character just… looks. just looks at their love interest for more than five seconds and doesn’t understand why or how this earth can exist and the sun and moon exist and the sky can be an eternal source of happiness and yet this person right here can bring so much more warmth and comfort to them with just a single glance

For Tumblebrutus, it happened when he and Hestia were tucked away in their hiding place, giggling like kittens as they chatted.

"And then, Papa waved his paw, and Daddy's mane completely disappeared!" Hestia exclaimed, bursting into giggles as she fell back against Tumblebrutus.

The patched tom let out a snort. "That was why we didn't see Tugger for the entire day? I thought Munkustrap was going to have a conniption."

Hestia only nodded, still laughing madly. Her only attempt to stifle her laughter was to place her paw over her mouth, but her eyes still showed her mirth.

Tumblebrutus found the amused smile on his face melting away into something much softer, much more adoring.

He loved when Hestia laughed so hard she could barely contain herself.

Her eyes sparkled, glittering gold and ethereal blue, and her paw did little to mask the bright, uninhibited smile that threatened to split her face. Her nose scrunched up, as it always had since they were kittens.

Whenever she laughed and smiled, Tumblebrutus thought to himself that maybe, just maybe, he was getting a glimpse at what the Heaviside Layer was like.

Welcoming.

Warm.

Bright.

Beautiful.

As Hestia lifted her head to look at him, Tumblebrutus couldn't stop himself from pulling her close to his side, nuzzling against the spot just behind her ear.

It was the only spot where she was truly ticklish, and Tumblebrutus was lucky enough to be one of the few cats to know of the spot.

Hestia began giggling all over again, and Tumblebrutus laughed as well, wrapping both arms around his queen, pressing kisses to her cheek.

For Hestia, it happened during an attack from Macavity.

The Jellicles were shaken. It was one of the Mystery Cat's more vicious attacks, completely out of the blue with no warning.

Hestia had grabbed Jemima's paw, and the two queens tucked themselves into one of the higher hideouts of the Junkyard, watching as their fathers fought Macavity.

A stray blast of magic made their hiding spot shake, and Hestia let out a small yelp as she tumbled out

Tumblebrutus, who was still training with his brother and Munkustrap to be a Protector, saw her fall, and in the blink of an eye, he was running across the Yard.

"Etta!" he exclaimed, grabbing Hestia's arm and pulling her close.

Hestia glanced at him with wide eyes before twisting around, throwing a quick blast of magic towards a henchcat who had been creeping towards the unguarded young Jellicles.

Tumblebrutus tugged on Hestia's paw, leading her to a smaller hideout safely on the ground, and more secure. He placed himself at the entrance, hackles raised, and ears twitching for any sounds.

Hestia watched her partner, and her heart filled with so much love that it nearly felt as though it would burst.

Of all the cats in the world, Tumblebrutus had stumbled into her life.

His warm brown eyes blazed with protectiveness as he guarded the entrance to the hideout.

His patched fur, the fur that she adored running her paws through, was raised.

It was as though he was glowing, daring anyone to even try to attempt to get near Hestia.

Hestia moved forward, pressing her side against Tumblebrutus', and she glanced up to give him a soft smile. The smile she received in return was brighter than the sun, and filled with affection.

The two cats sat together, waiting for the attack to finish, knowing that, no matter what, they would be safe with each other.

ok ok so "Who I'd Be", from Shrek the Musical, is a song i heavily, heavily associate with the henchcat!Tumblebrutus AU (hence the reason why it's on his playlist) and i'm currently listening to the song, and i just had the MOST vivid image of the last chorus, when all three come together to sing the last part of the song.

Tumblebrutus is in Macavity's hideout, sitting on one of the rare perches that has a window, staring out at the moon as he thinks about what might have been if he hadn't left the Jellicles, if he had stayed with Hestia, if he had talked to his parents, his brother, Munkustrap, but he knows that there's no going back for him, there's nothing he can do at this point to change what he's chosen to do, he can only dream and wait for the possibility of a chance to leave

Pouncival is sitting inside his den, curled up in his room, hugging Tumblebrutus' favorite blanket close to his chest, trying not to cry as he thinks about his twin, all alone amongst enemies no matter where he goes, thinking about what he'd say to his brother if they were together, how he'd make sure Tumblebrutus had someone in his corner, because maybe that would have stopped Tumblebrutus from leaving in the first place if he had known

Hestia is sitting on one of the highest points in the Junkyard, one of her favorite spots for when she needs quiet time, and she's staring at the same moon Tumblebrutus is, thinking about the moment when she might finally be able to convince Tumblebrutus to come home, when she can finally hug him as tightly as possible, when he opens up to her and accepts the help he deserves, when he comes back to her

and the three of them just imagining the moment where they're whole, when Pouncival's partner in crime is back playing pranks on Alonoz with him, when Hestia's soulmate is cuddled into her side, poking her until she giggles, when Tumblebrutus' twin is jumping on his back and babbling about whatever trick he mastered, when Tumblebrutus' heart is making their hiding spot light up and giving him a smile brighter than her magical sparkles.
