my brain conjures up mental images for podcast characters with a method that I don't understand at all. without going back to check I don't believe david ault does particularly different voices for arthur holmwood, hembry siltverses, or walter heath, but I picture them all with entirely different faces. antigone funn and meredith stonewall look basically the same, though antigone's hair is black and meredith's is brown, and victoire fourier and lucy westenra are also mostly the same but victoire's hair curls into ringlets while lucy's is just wavy. the major general from tscosi and mrs westenra have the same face and body but you wouldn't put them down as identical because the ways they dress and hold themselves are so different, and acantha silverses is a wholly different person. I heard doug eiffel's voice and made up a face that turned out to almost exactly match zach valenti, and hilbert bears no resembles. no amount of fanart in the world can convince me that daisy tonner is blonde, but william henry blair from trice forgotten certainly is. I have a very clear mental image for elias bouchard, including what color palettes he would be drawn in if tma were a comic book, but david 7 is just ben meredith slightly blue tinted and slimy. jon "the archivist" sims and jack "the malpractitioner" seward look nothing like each other nor the man who plays them, but the guy sister carpenter immolated was in fact just jonny sims.
