Another pretty darned productive writing week! I touched 6 fics (4 WIPs & 2 new works) for a total of 3795 words.

I have 17 semi-active WIPs 😬 with my current deadlines being the July Break Bingo, which ends 31 Jul and the Tony Stark This or That and Hot Bucky Summer events, which both wrap at the end of August.

See below cut for what I’m working on/planning to work on - arranged more or less by bingos/challenges/etc. As always, feel free to send me prompts or plot bunnies as well as asks regarding any of these projects or any other WIPs I’ve got out there. Interaction really helps feed the Muse and keep me motivated!

Seek & Destroy Collab

After reading @psychiccatpanda‘s amazing Morguna and the Green Queen, I got the itch to explore the Soldier’s POV and talked Faustie into collab’ing with me! We’re working on a new part of the series, and I’ve contributed about 900 words towards the 2500-ish we have so far. Going to see if I can squeeze any of my BBB squares into this fic.

WinterIron Pride Prompt Party [WI_PPP] (Ends 15 Jul)

I didn’t get any more fills in for this daily prompt event hosted by the WinterIron Discord server, but I did a few self-recs to qualify for the Halfway badge (15 fills). I’m working on getting the fics posted to Ao3 - here’s my Masterpost

July Break Bingo [JBB_23] (Ends 31 Jul)

Signed up for a 3x3 card for this all fandoms, no minimums bingo event (@julybreakbingo ) because of course I need more prompts! 😁😬 I’m aiming for a blackout with three fills and four WIPs with another idea or two to work on. I’m playing a bit fast and loose with a few prompts, but I hope y’all enjoy anyways!

* A1 - “I can keep going” -filling this with Chapter 3 of Technicalities (Stucky professort/student AU) which is a crossover with my ACB Mutual Pining and SVB Experiment squares -- A bit of manual labor brings Professor!Steve and Student(but not Steve’s student)! Bucky closer together. It’s coming in at 1305 words and will post on 7/26.

* A2 - “I think I’m losing my mind.” Filled this with What Happens in San Francisco… in combination with the Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF208 Reporting the Scoop] and a SVB adoptable: Celebration Sex. It will eventually get posted to Ao3.

* A3 - Word: Advantage or Antonyms -- Flling this with Chapter 3 of A Sugar-Coated Pill (WinterIron Omegaverse Sugar Daddy AU) which is coming in at 1341 words and will post on 7/21. It’s crossing over with my HBE "How Did You Meet?” + High Stakes Op and TSTOT Omegaverse prompts, along with my WIB AU: A/B/O square. Bucky and Tony continue to make a good team, then sugar baby!Tony asks Bucky for a favor.

* B1 - Location: Train Tracks - combining this with my BBB Never the Fall that Kills You square for an angsty Winter Soldier fic - it’s sitting at 104 words and fighting me a bit at the moment. 😬

* B2 - FREE -- Will probably combine with this or next week’s Flash Fiction Friday.

* B3 - Pining/Longing/Being Needy - filling this with Chapter 4 of A Sugar-Coated Pill where Bucky has a bit of a problem, and Tony offers to help. It’s crossing over with HBS Week Nine (”Where do you want me?” + In My Lap), and ACB Mate-Induced Heat - the chapter is coming in at 1395 words and will post on 7/28.

* C1 - Location: Art Studio - Filled this with Teacher, Teacher, Can You Reach Me? which posted this morning. I combined this with my SAUB AU: Teacher and TSB Dares/Bets squares and TSTOT Best Friend prompt for a Tony & Rhodey bro-fic that is also a SteveTony meet cute. It came in at 1604 words.

* C2 - Moving In/New Home - filled with Starting Something New,

* C3 - Mutual Pining – maybe use this as an excuse to get my Centerfold Stucky fic finally started…? Plan B - combine with Technicalities - Chapter 3

Hot Bucky Summer [BBE_HBS] (Ends Aug 33)

Another @buckybarnesevents event, this time with weekly smexy prompts. My goal is to complete at least two fics/chapters per month for this challenge and have actually filled/will fill three of the 4 weeks for June and July so far.

Week Eight - “How did you meet?” + High Stakes Op - see JBB Word: Advantage or Antonyms above

Week Nine: FREE – cheating a bit and going back to the Week Three prompts.: (“Where do you want me?” + in my lap) - see JBB Pining/Longing/Being Needy above

Week Eleven - “Give me a color”+ Green/Red/Yellow -- This works well with the upcoming Chapter Three of Finding Something Fresh - Beta!Sub!Bucky and omega!Dom!Steve work on pre-scene negotiations. It will cross over with SVB Comforting Insecurity - it’s sitting at 254 words at the moment and will post either 8/11 or 8/16.

Week Twelve - “Who’s My ___”+ Good Boy - probably will fit with the future Chapter Four of Finding Something Fresh - crossing over with SVB Tied to A Bed. This chapter would post either 8/18 or 8/23

Week Thirteen - FREE WEEK - “Bossy” and “Bondage” are two suggested prompts - I can probably do something with either/both of these. 😁

Excited to see this event (hosted by @tstot ) come back! When you sign up, you get a card with 10 prompts in pairs - so to complete the card, you create five fanworks. * G3 - Established Relationship - planning to fill this with Chapter 2 of Half of the Flesh and Blood That Makes Me Whole - a Bucky POV remix of at least the first part of Take What Was Wrong (And Make it Right), which is current sitting at 52 words. I’m expecting at least one more chapter, possibly two, depending on how far I want to take the remix.

* O3 - Pararescue Sam Wilson - may try to squish this into an expansion of A Rising Star - a previous Flash Fiction Friday fill.

I have eleven fills completed and two WIPs for this brand-new bingo event that I’m helping mod! Along with crossfilling against my other bingos, I’m going to try to combine my B column squares for the Iron Soldier badge (complete a bingo with a single work). – Alpha Tony Stark, “That was not my intention.”, James Rhodes, Alpine loves Tony and Blind date. (Tony POV remix of A Sugar Coated Pill?)

* C2 - Yelena Belova– The plan is to use this prompt in the next chapter of Peresmešnik, (aka Three Avengers and a Baby), which is currently sitting at 1100 words (400-ish of which are mine).

* C5 - Marriage of Convenience/Pretend Couple - next chapter of Lady Natasha’s Consort and Lord Steve’s Companion. Not quite sure where to take this next at the moment. 😕

* Y2 - [image: IW Bucky with the good hair] A Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF198 What Comes Next] was a perfect match for an idea I’d already been playing around with to fill this square. Getting Prepared -(updated title = Preparations) an A:IW missing scene set between the time that T’Challa and Okoye come for Bucky and the moment he sees Steve again. I will post it to Ao3 sometime in the next month or so.

Tony Stark Bingo Mark 5--glitch art

I claimed an abandoned prompt up for adoption during the party currently raging (hee) in the TSB discord server! Glitch art is very cool, and when I started to play around with it a bit, I got an idea. i took @rebelmeg's cross stitch pattern for JARVIS, and glitched him to look as he might during Age of Ultron.

I tweaked my bingo card a bit to show which prompts I substituted adoptions for and what they were. (for the convenience of the @tonystarkbingo mods, bless them!)

A slightly-below average writing week. I touched 5 fics (4 WIPs & 1 new work) for a total of 1900 words.

Week Twelve - “Who’s My ___”+ Good Boy - I think this will work well with Chapter 5 of Technicalities, which goes back to Steve POV. This would post 8/23 - and with only 237 words so far, I need to get a move on this!

Week Thirteen - FREE WEEK - another previous prompt use - Week Nine’s “How do you want me?” + Tied Down crossing over with ACB Alexander Pierce and CABB Licking Lips squares for Chapter Four of Finding Something Fresh. This chapter will post 8/25 and is drafted at 1116 words.

When the TSB discord server has a party, one activity is adopting unloved bingo prompts. And when Christine came up on the list, it felt like half the members earburned me. LOL. Of course I was going to adopt her.

This short takes place in the spring of 2008. It fits canon just fine, but also works as the set-up to the opening of book 1 of my Wordsmith series, The Placement of Angels. It’s about that feeling when everything falls into place and you wonder if it’s happening for a reason.

Thank you to all those who attended our TSB Scraps Discord party! And for those that weren't able to attend, here's the results of a 3 Prompt Summaries game...

donuts, bed, humor - suggested by @fightingforcreativity

@rebelmeg - "I can't believe you are eating DONUTS in MY BED. What's wrong with your bed?!" Tony looked up at Rhodey with an expression of innocence on his sugar glaze-dotted face. "I didn't want to get crumbs in my bed."

@huntress79 - As a kid, Tony wasn't allowed to have donuts, period. Funny enough, Howard would have okayed them, but Maria considered them not good enough for her son, and so, Tony was in for a culinary experience when Rhodey introduced him to the baked goods in their first week at MIT. Nowadays, one of Tony's favorite pastimes outside the workshop consists of ordering the largest pack of donuts they can get, cozy up with Steve, Peter, Harley, Morgan and their Golden Retriever in their California King bed, and laugh along with the antics of Hollywood's finest comedians.

@magica - When Tony had found a genie and used his first wish on "breakfast in bed", he'd thought it was a simple and obvious request. But now his bed was piled high with donuts! And not even the good kind - they were all filled with, blech, custard! What kind of defective genie had he gotten anyway? At least he knew what his next two wishes would be - remove the donuts, and then return the genie to sender!

@celtic7irish - Tony poked his head in the door, giving Pepper a sheepish look. "I want you to know that this was your daughter's idea," he said.

Pepper raised her eyebrow, her lips curling into a smile as she heard the childish giggles behind the door. Morgan had, unfortunately, inherited her father's sense of humor. The two of them entered, bearing a tray and bringing it over to where she sat on the bed. On the tray was a large mug of coffee, and three donuts, covered in frosting and more sprinkles than should ever be on any breakfast food.

Morgan climbed up on the bed as Tony sat, carefully on Pepper's lap. "Happy Mother's Day," they chorused, grinning at each other.

Pepper just sighed and picked up one of the donuts. They had tried, she supposed. "Did you want to share?" she asked. Morgan cheered, and Tony grinned, settling on her other side, her two favorite people. Pepper smiled. Happy Mother's Day, indeed.

@celtic7irish - Tony stared at the soot-covered archer that was grinning at his, teeth white in a black face. "What the heck, Barton?" he demanded. "Did you suddenly decide to become a chimney sweep?" He paused. "Are chimneys even a thing in New York?" he wondered.

Clint just shrugged, soot drifting to the floor at the motion. One of the zoombas hummed happily as it vacuumed up the dirt. "I was chasing a purse thief!" he said. "Guy stole Miss Sara's purse, so I got it back."

"And did you chase him up a chimney?" Tony asked irritable.

The archer shook his head. "Nope! A fire," he corrected.

Tony stared at him. "A fire," he repeated blankly. Clint nodded, and Tony pressed his fingers on either side of his nose. "Please tell me you at least got a good look at the guy."

Clint shook his head. "Nope! But maybe this will help? The guy dropped it when I tackled him." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a large metal button.

"When you--no, you know what?" Tony decided. "I don't want to know." He held out his hand for the button. The front wasn't anything that he recognized, but the back had three initials. It was probably enough for Jarvis to track the purse snatcher down.

He looked at Clint. "Next time, just shoot the guy."

@huntress79 - buttons and kids go together like fire and gasoline, that much Tony knows. He has some vague memories of him twisting and pressing any button he could reach, be it in Miss Ana's kitchen, on the many handbags both her and his Mama had over the years, or, God beware, any of the many buttons in Howard's workshop. Sure, he got yelled at for doing so, but still, nothing could stop the aspiring kid genius from exploring!

Why he remembered it all of a sudden when the baddie of the week decided to hide in a narrow chimney was lost to Tony, but still, he couldn't stop the giddy feeling of going down the chimney, just like he always pictured Santa doing as a kid, from bubbling up inside. "Sir, why are you humming 'Santa Clause is coming to town' in the middle of a chase, and in the middle of summer?" J.A.R.V.I.S. definitely was a very smart AI, but while smothering a laughter, Tony didn't think that his "kid" would understand at all.

@huntress79 - If anyone would ever have told Tony about the hilarious yet nail biting show that was a dressed-to-the-nines former Winter Soldier, chasing both Peter and Morgan around the apartment they had rented for the summer, eliciting giggles from both kids, he probably would have, more or less, hunted the other man down way earlier. But here he was, sitting on the chaise lounge, watching them making rounds, hoping that none of them would bump into any furniture, or, Heaven forbid, Bucky would destroy his suit. That was, after all, a husband's prerogative...

@rebelmeg - tony swallowed hard as pepper trailed the edge of one perfectly manicured nail across the smooth, flat surface of the iron man suit, her eyes dark and wicked as she looked at him.

"you should probably get out of that, honey. otherwise none of my plans for tonight are going to work at all."

"plans?" tony nearly squeaked, and he could practically feel the way his pupils blew out at the husky tone in her voice.

"mm hmm." her nails tapped a quick rhythm on the metal of the suit again. "shall we?"

tony was really, really glad he'd built in so many quick-release mechanisms into his suit.

@celtic7irish - Tony scowled down at the small tear in his $3000 suit. Pepper was going to kill him for this.

Footsteps, and Tony turned around with a bright smile. "Pepper, light of my life!" he greeted.

Pepper gave him a firm look, perfectly manicured nails tapping the clipboard in her hands. "What did you do now?" she asked, already resigned.

Tony scowled. "It wasn't my fault!" he protested, though he turned and showed his CEO the ruined suit.

With a huff, Pepper pulled a small sewing kit out of somewhere, and held out her hand for the suit jacket. A few quick stitches later, she handed it back.

Tony shrugged it on, smoothing it down flat and staring in amazement. "What sorcery is this?" he demanded.

Pepper just rolled her eyes. "Board meeting. Now," she ordered.

Tony gave her a mock salute, turning away before she could see the disappointment on his face. Next time, he'd make a bigger hole.

Storm, flowers, laughter - suggested by @celtic7irish

@rebelmeg - it was ridiculous, it really was. to laugh at a cemetery. in the middle of a storm, no less, with rain practically thundering down on the umbrellas they were holding above their heads. tony didn't mind, though, as he watched the raindrops patter down on the flowers he'd set at peggy's headstone. he'd always wanted peggy to meet the person he'd marry someday. wanted her approval, her blessing. this was as close as he could get now, but he had a feeling it was enough. curling his arm around the waist of the person beside him, snuggling in for the warmth and comfort he always found there, he smiled. "tell her about our first date. that's an even better story than how we met. it's so stupid, aunt peggy, you won't believe this..."

@magica - When a girl opens her door to discover her boss stood in the pouring rain, miserably failing to protect the most pathetic bunch of... stems she's ever seen, well... what else can she do but burst into laughter?

@celtic7irish - Tony stared at the man dripping water all over his foyer, then looked outside. The storm had hit a good twenty minutes earlier, and showed no signs of stopping anytime soon. "You do know I have a driver, right?" he asked slowly. "He could have picked you up. You could be nice and dry instead of dripping water all over my floor." Bucky shrugged sheepishly. "I wanted to surprise you," he admitted, bringing his arm out from behind his back. He was holding a bouquet of flowers, just as doused in water as their wielder, and holding them out to Tony. "Happy Anniversary." The sound of their laughter was almost loud enough to drown out the thunder.

@huntress79 - Tony never had met anyone more stubborn than Captain America himself. Not only that the man couldn't be stopped by any forces to launch himself at any conflict he happened upon, no, he also had to have the last word in any discussion, and worse, he used that tactical brain of his to come up with ways to prove his point, regardless if he was actually right about a topic or not. Latest proof: Tony and him standing on the rooftop terrace of the Avengers Tower in what weather forecasters had labeled as "the storm of the year", just so that Steve could prove it to Tony that even in these conditions, the shield found its way back to him.

Tony was ready to strangle him and bury his body in the large metal flower bed Bruce had put up. None would be the wiser...

"What's so funny, Capsicle?" Tony hissed at the blond, who, for whatever reason had started to laugh.

"Actually, you," Steve replied, ducking under the large umbrella Tony was holding. "You're grumpy as hell about being outside right now, but still, you're here, spending time with me and my crazy ideas. Thank you."

And before Tony even had the spark of a chance to process the words, the blond closed the distance and gave him a kiss. Well, how's the saying goes? There's a silver lining in every storm...
