Kremastes Kourtines - Three Curtains recolor

Sometimes we need privacy, sometimes we need a little privacy and sometimes we just need something to keep the light away.

Even back in ancient times humans (and sims) started to use woven cloth to protect themselves from heat, cold or strong light and divide the living space for more privacy. It was more common among the wealthy than others, and it for sure would beautify their surroundings. This set has three different curtains in many swatches from my Efrosyni and Knossos palettes. You will find them in game where you normally find curtains, or by searching for Kremastes or KyriaT.

- Did you hear him, Noor? "Hope you continue your science career, even though you are now married" and yadda yadda. He is such a hypocrite!

The families had come together to celebrate Mezamura's wedding, and Teteriu had just finished his speech for the bride.

- I'm sure he meant well, Eira. He wants what best for his sister doesn't he? And Aurelio seems like a decent man.

- Yeah, it's nothing wrong with Aurelio, he is fine. But Teteriu just say things he doesn't live by. Pretending to be something he isn't. If he really meant what he is saying, why didn't he let me continue my studies? And this big party... giving them your old house... he is just showing off.

- The party is great though, and we all needed something to celebrate after this terrible summer.

- Oh sweet Astanna, yes! First uncle Itaja, then Telamon, and Nashuja wanting to leave Manthos for good. It sure hasn't been joyful.

- Well uncle's death wasn't that unexpected, he was getting older, and I'm just grateful Nashuja was still here when he passed. But Telamon...?! Did you learn exactly what happened?

- Not really. They just told me he was found dead outside the shelter where he lived. From what I've heard he had stopped drinking, but maybe he had a relapse? Or maybe he was robbed? Or struck by lightning? I don't know. I'm still in a bit of a shock, because deep down I did hope to see him again.

- So how is aunt Simadhne coping? Is she feeling better now?

- Well you know. Since we moved in after uncle's death she's been kind of busy with helping with the children and cooking for us all. But when Nashuja is leaving... I fear she will fall apart. We will all miss him so much. And knowing we will never see him again... It is unbearable!

- And Pamesijos? Will he go with him?

- Not if I can prevent it, Noor whispered. How can I loose them both?

- Really makes you think about the sacrifice they made, doesn't it?

- What do you mean? The war?

- I mean our parents Noor, when they let us both go. We were so young! About Khará's age actually! Can you imagine how it must have been for them?

- Well it was different. They wanted to keep us safe.

- Yes, exactly! Not so different from this situation, when you think about it.

- I've never thought about it that way, but you are right.

- But I'm not sure if I ever could have let Khará go, under any circumstances, so I totally understand your reluctance to let Pamesijos go with Nashuja.

- You will have to let her go some day anyway...

- What?

- I mean, she will move out, get married, have her own household. All of our children will. It is terrible, but true!

- Noor! Do you have to talk about such excruciating future visions? Can't we just enjoy this party and have some fun?

This is baby Khepri and she paves the way for us into the early civilisation! :D 

So for early civ i’ve added a goal that was from the old version of the history challenge as i liked it and want to complete it in this updated version and i’ve removed some of the newer ones and replaced them with older ones as they were replaced bc of cc issues but the cc is available to complete them so im gonna stick with most of the old rules for early civ.

I’m doing the historian goals instead of casual coz i like the extra challenge - rules are here 

Reach level 10 Charisma, Guitar Violin, and Logic skills on one Sim (2 pts.)

Earn $5,000 Simoleons from playing music for tips (4 pts.)

Read one book from every genre* with the same Sim (4 pts.)

Time had come for Edda’s hair to turn grey as well. She wasn’t too worried about reaching her old age however, having accepted a long time ago that time wasn’t a thing to be stopped. She returned to her studies with her cauldron, but this time something went horribly wrong. All of a sudden a dark, putrid smoke started billowing out from it and she fell to the floor. Roko and Hel, who had been excitedly observing her, also fainted. It seemed to affect all of them except the little boy, Lykos, who got very scared. Thankfully, his father and grandmothers woke up a little while later. This seemed to put Edda off using the cauldron and she decided then that she wouldn’t use it when others were near in the future.

...

It was soon time for Leon to become a child, with all that it meant. For him, much stayed the same. He was still a calm boy with great imagination who loved to play with his sticks and stones, much as his father had done when he was younger. And he loved being a big brother, adoring little Lykos with all his heart.

Nashuja Sleeping Bags

Gather some moss and grass and let your sim sleep softly on the ground with a pillow and blanket of choice. Or, if your sim is picky, let them try a simple mattress filled with straw.

This mini-set has two sleeping bags; one for children and adults, and one for toddlers. You will find the objects in game where you normally find this kind of objects, or by searching for Nashuja or KyriaT.

You will need the Growing Together pack for this to show up in your game.

The King's death was unexpected, even with a war going on. The body was to be taken back to the palace, but the men were allowed to give their respects first.

- The King instructed me to convey his gratitude to you, Captain Trypitis told Nashuja. He wanted me to give you some of his valuable stones, his horse Kappa and his sword.

- To me? His horse? The same horse that killed him? What am I going to do with that beast? It's a curse, not a gift, I don't know anything about horses!

- Well it is yours now. It was the King's wish. For your travels, he said And he really loved that horse, even if it killed him I believe he wanted someone to take care of it.

- My travels? Oh. Yes, that makes sense. Okay, I will try my best to honor his wishes. I will take care of the horse. As best I can.

In the beginning Nashuja was intimidated by the size and appearance of Kappa. He was cautious and patient, and made sure to have carrots or apples whenever he approached her.

After some weeks, there was certainly more trust between them.

The war continued, and Nashuja was again fit for fight. The men in general were not as motivated as they had been. The war-weariness probably had to do with the lack of progress. Victory seemed impossible.

Then, about three months after King Ifiklis death, they received the message from the regent; Prince Heraklis. He had made a deal with the enemy. The conditions were harsh, but peace was finally reached. The agreement was formally approved by the new king; the very young King Mijararos I. He was now formally the head of Manthos, but since he was just a child it was of course his uncle who had the real power and authority in the kingdom.

It was a very special day wen the soldiers marched home to Manthos. They weren't overly excited about the agreement Prince Heraklis had made, they felt that he had sold them short. There were rumors that he had betrayed them, his own people. They said he probably was on the enemy's side from the beginning, a renegade. Some even said that the former King had found out about it and confronted him, and that Prince Heraklis then killed his own brother because of it.

The citizens of Manthos were however ecstatic that war was over and that their boys were coming home.

Early Civilization

General Rules

“The ever-increasing intelligence of the Early Civilization Sims resulted in a number of new inventions, all contributing to a more comfortable life for Sims everywhere.”

Sims from all social classes can buy and use, bathtubs, sinks, stoves, toilets, basic toddler toys, high chairs, toddler potties, family bulletin boards, Metalic decor, mirrors,  grills, refrigerators,  guitars and incense holders.

With the invention of the Calendar now your sims can keep track of their social events. They can once again keep the pre-generated Love Day (Lupercalia) and or create your own events like Midwinter solstice or a Spring Equinox festival. Only Aristocracy and Royalty can host any social period-appropriate event.

You can Create Mermaid Sims and they are allowed to join any household. But, they are bound to the Social Class rules of the Household you chose.

Now you can adopt any breed of Cats and Dogs. 

Early Civilization Stages

Early Civilization is divided into 3 Stages. Bronze age, Iron Age and Classical Ancient age. Each of these stages is unlocked each time after a new generation reaches the young adult age.

Gen 4 - Bronze Age

“ The extensive use of copper and bronze for the creation of new tools and decoratives objects have to allow sims to grow beyond their limits. Markets are blooming, and socials divisions are starting to notice”

Sims can now have the Leader of the Pack Aspiration. Kids can now choose the Artistic Prodigy aspiration. Sims can also unlock the Curator Aspiration once a sim has at least 20 different metals.  

o Trade and commerce. - “With the comfort of a strong community, Bronze age Sims could allow themselves to pledge their skills to other Sims, in exchange for goods and simoleons.” 

Sims now are allowed to open personal stores with the Get To Work feature however only male Sims can own and manage the stores. You can open stores that sell Fruit, Vegetables, Fish, Gems, metals, flowers, furniture and decor made with the Woodworking Table. Both genders may play music, sing or Acting for tips, but they may not license written songs.

o Writing. - “Books had become the main method for acquiring and storing information, Sims dedicated entire buildings to the collection of them, to further increase the availability of knowledge to each and every Sim.”

Male members of the royalty and the Aristocracy sims may also now write books, but at this point, your sims may not publish them. If you didn't download the notebook mod, your Sims may use a computer instead, but only for writing. Only high-rank households can buy bookshelves and secret journals. Lower ranks aren’t allowed to read or write any book. You can now place a Library in your chosen World, and only Royal and Aristocrats Sims may visit it freely. 

Gen 5 - Iron Age

“Wealth and knowledge grow more and more, some sims pursuit new professions others just pursuit the stability with their meant to be. The social order rules above all”

Members of the royalty and aristocracy can now buy and use new items like Chess tables and Violins. All Sims can now use the flower arranging tables, guitars and the beekeeping box from Seasons.

o Iron Age Professions - Male members of the royalty and the aristocracy sims may join the Politics career (Politician Branch). Male Peasants may now join the Manual Labor career and the Fisherman Career.

o Love - “On the Iron Age, Sims starts to feel the pressure to settle down with someone they connected with on a much deeper level yet not all sims wants to feel this kind of pressure and want to engage deeper in their carnal pleasures.”

Sims may now get married, and they can have multiple secret lovers. They may divorce but a well known female sim can not marry again. Male Sims may remarry if they got divorced or if their spouse dies. Same-sex relationships are allowed.  Sims can now start using the Soulmate Aspiration.

o Extra unlocks - Members of the royalty and aristocracy may now hire gardeners and maids. They belong to the Slaves class.

Gen 6 - Classical Antiquity Era

“ Now, we reach the Classical Antiquity, a time where the language, politics, law, art, architecture, and sports blossomed for the sims. Military and Gladiators seek for glory on the streets and filled with hope to others not so fortunate sims”

Sims can now have the Bodybuilder and Friend of the World Aspirations 

o Classical Antiquity Professions -  Military (Officer Branch) and Athletic Careers ( Professional Athlete and Bodybuilder Branches) are unlocked in this period. Male members of the Aristocracy and Plebeians sims may join now the Military Career. However, only 1 male member per household can join the Military IF they have a good relationship with a member of the Aristocracy. Once Plebeians reach the max on the Military or the Athletic Career their family is rewarded with invitations for the diverse social gathering from the Aristocracy where they can mingle and try to find their way to climb up the social ladder. Warning. These careers are dangerous every time your sim goes to work there is a 25% probability that doesn't survive. Once the sim returns home, flip a coin to see if the sim survives.

You can now place a Bathhouse. A Spa/bathing lot should include a pool, hot tubs, sinks, bathtubs, Yoga mats, meditation stools, saunas, and all the previous unlocked items. And a Gym. Sims can visit freely this lot regarding their social rank.

And so, Felix enrolls his son as an assistant to Antonius, the legion commander. Felix knew that connection would turn out to be useful.

Marcus can't wait to start learning about warfare. This sounds far more exciting than listening to the teacher at school.
