Selfish risks
Tumblr media
pairings: Levi Ackerman x (GN!) reader
genre: domestic fluff
summary: In the peaceful downtime spent together, Levi decides to risk asking an important question.

The Scout headquarters is silent, most of the survey corps members have already taken themselves off to bed, greedily getting as much rest as possible before the next mission creeps up on them. Everyone has been working hard, with both training sessions and squad meetings running longer and longer each day, almost as if each scout could sense something approaching.
The wind howls outside the stone structure, rustling the leaves and causing the windows to rattle. You shiver despite the loud crackling of the fireplace inside your office, the amber flames fighting to keep the chill away.
The warmth and ambient sounds of nature do their best to lull you to sleep, exhaustion tugging on your eyelids as you force yourself to work through the night. A bad habit that you had picked up from a certain captain.
Your relationship with him over the years within the scouts had caused a few of his mannerisms to rub off onto you, for better or for worse. You’ve found that the recruits you are tasked to train tend to listen to you more after you picked up Levi’s “don’t test me” expression. However, you have caught yourself clicking your tongue in displeasure a lot more as well, much to the amusement of all those nearby to pick up on it.
The frantic scribbling of your pen grows louder as you try to rush the piles of paperwork towering before you. A small rumble breaks the silence as your stomach protests, unhappy with the dedication to the mountain of paper causing you to skip dinner accidentally.
You are so engulfed in the moment that you almost miss the gentle creaking of the door. You raise your head only to be met with tired silver eyes cutting through the shadows of the room.
Levi slowly shuts the door before pausing, simply watching you sign your name and toss the pen to the side, ignoring the halfhearted glare thrown your way as it rolls across the desk and onto the floor with a small clatter.
You stare at him for a moment, waiting for the small lecture about making a mess, even if it is in your own space. A lecture that, surprisingly, never comes.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" He says instead, his voice is gentle, yet you can sense the small reprimand within his words.
"Curfew doesn't apply to squad leaders and higher, I thought you knew that?" You shoot him a playful smirk that only grows with the withering look you get in response.
"That's not what I meant and you know it."
"I know, there's just... so much to get through and I figured I would power through most of it while you were in the meeting with Erwin and Hange. Which seemed like a good plan considering how long it took."
Levi lets out a long sigh as he walks towards the armchair by the fire, flopping down onto the worn fabric. You smile at the sight, at how carefree and unguarded he lets himself be around you.
A sight some could never think to imagine when it comes to the aloof captain, but you know him better than most.
You get up from the desk, groaning slightly as your muscles scream in defiance. A sign that you have been cooped up on the uncomfortable wooden chair for far too long. The sound causes Levi's head to snap in your direction, only relaxing again when he notices you are in no real pain.
The sight makes you smile, even with everything he has to handle within the Survey Corps, he still always makes sure to look out for you as well. Even when he doesn’t need to.
His eyes track your every movement and you see a myriad of emotions swirling through them: exhaustion, concern, wonder, adoration and love all mix with the flickering amber of the fire within the gunmetal of his eyes.
He shuffles to try and give you some space beside him in the small armchair, only to frown in frustration and pull you into his arms instead. You rest your head in the crook of his neck, straddling his lap as you bring your hand up to run through his silky hair.
"Interesting meeting?" You whisper into his neck, not wanting to break the peace that has settled over you both. Something you both rarely get to cherish, yet heavily deserve.
The only reply you get is a small hum, he tightens his grip around you and peppers your shoulder with small kisses.
"Four-eyes has a new experiment they want to try out. Apparently, it's fundamental that Erwin lets them capture more titans for it." Levi says with a small grumble, his voice slightly muffled by your shoulder, clearly unhappy to remember what had held up the already late meeting for so long.
You go to open your mouth to speak, only for his low voice to cut you off instantly.
"And no, you're not helping them with whatever shitty plan they have in mind. You need to stop letting them drag you into their schemes so easily." He punctuates his words with a small flick to the centre of your forehead.
You let out a light laugh, the action sending a shiver across Levi's skin.
"How did you know I was going to suggest helping Hange?"
"I know you too well."
"That you do." You kiss his jawline, slowly moving towards his lips, leaving a trail of feather-light kisses as you do. He sighs when your lips finally meet his own, his eyes flickering shut briefly as you part.
"Marry me."
Your eyes widen briefly, shock and excitement rushing through you, you are almost certain you had misheard him if it weren't for the slightest blush covering his cheeks and the determined look in his eyes.
"Is that an order, Captain?"
He huffs out a small laugh, his eyes flicking up briefly before he reveals a small ring from the pocket of his jacket. A proud green jewel sits atop the thin silver band, your breath catches as it glints in the firelight.
"I could make it one if you wanted. I got fed up of waiting for some perfect moment or whatever that traditional bullshit is. There are no perfect moments in this world, not when titans could eat us at any moment." He pauses for a moment, his usually stoic voice faltering with emotions as he tries to hide his face from your unwavering gaze.
"Or so I thought until you made me experience peace in these moments with you. Then I realised that every moment where we are alive together is a perfect one."
You stare at him with wide eyes, not noticing the stream of tears running down your cheeks until you feel his calloused hand brush them away with a softness you couldn't begin to imagine.
"The thought of having someone to lose scares me, but you've made me realise that marriage or not, loving you has been a risk I've been taking for a while now. Might as well make you officially mine while we have the chance."
You let out a watery giggle as your hands dance along the fabric of his shirt, smoothing out any creases that dare to cling to him.
"You know, most marriage proposals don't have the implications of a horrible death woven into them."
"That's clearly where the poor fuckers are going wrong then."
Levi's eyes are soft as he watches you, his lips finally quirking up into a small smile as you let out an undignified snort at his comment.
"Yes, I will marry you."
You don't miss the way his shoulders drop with relief, nor the genuine joy that shines through his eyes. He delicately takes the hand you wordlessly offer him, taking his time to slide the ring onto your finger.
“Good, I want to risk being selfish. Just this once.”
You beam at his words, heart heavy as you place a soft kiss onto his lips before throwing your arms around his neck to pull him as close as possible. His arms quickly wrap around your lower back as he holds you tightly, his head resting against your chest.
He can almost sense the approaching comment from the way you jiggle with pure, albeit restrained laughter.
“Is it green to match our capes? Don’t get me wrong, love, you choose very well. A fact I’m sure you already know, but…is that the reason?” “Shut up.”
The laugh you give him in response warms both of your hearts more than the now-dying fire could manage.

forest boy.
synopsis: you are tsakarem (tsahik-in-training) of the metkayina clan, promised to ao'nung. however it seems that things take a turn when you catch the attention of a certain forest boy.
tags: fluffy drabble, fem! metkayina! reader, a test post to see if this fandom still lives lol, jealous! ao'nung, pining! neteyam, love at first sight! neteyam, subtle tsireya x lo'ak, reader and ao'nung are parallels of ronal and tonowari
part 2 here
Tumblr media
The bellow of a horn echoed throughout the village, accompanied by the fluttering of an Ikran's wings. Both you and Tsireya halted your light conversation, laughter dying down as your attention was drawn to the exotic mountain banshees flying above. Sharing a curious glance, both of you moved towards your Ilu's, making haste towards the sandy shores.
From afar, you could see how a family of forest Na'vi dropped down to the sands. They seemed apprehensive, led by a tall man dressed in exotic gear.
"Isn't that the Olo'eyktan from the Omatikaya clan?" Tsireya whispered, her voice barely audible. "What could possibly bring them here?"
"I have no idea," you replied, dismounting from your ilu as you approached the shore, Tsireya mirroring your actions.
As you dipped your head in the water, you pushed yourself upward, breaking through the surface. With a graceful motion, you brushed aside your damp hair, allowing it to cascade down your shoulders in a shimmering display.
Just then, your eyes locked with one of the strange forest people. Almost immediately, he bowed low, gesturing to you by placing his fingers on his forehead and extending one hand down. Smiling, you gestured back, returning the greeting with a nod of your head. The forest boy seemed pleased by your response, and his eyes sparkled with interest.
As Neteyam's gaze fell upon you, he couldn't help but become entranced by the mesmerizing shade of aquatic blue that adorned your skin, gracefully accompanied by flowing white stripes resembling gentle waves. The captivating allure of your large, penetrating blue eyes seemed to delve into the depths of his soul and he found himself speechless, mouth running dry.
Taking in your petite stature, the fin-like formations on your arms and legs piqued his curiosity, evoking images of elegant aquatic creatures. Your attire, intricately woven and embellished with coral, shells, and delicate trinkets, complemented your features perfectly, adding to your captivating appearance.
"You're staring, skxawng," Lo'ak snorts, playfully knocking his brother's side. Neteyam huffs, feeling a tinge of embarrassment as he quickly averts his gaze. "Shut it," he retorts, trying to brush off the moment.
As their father engaged in conversation with the newcomers, a group of boys broke away from the crowd, heading towards the brothers. Lo'ak and Neteyam exchanged quick gestures of greeting, but received no response in return.
Neteyam's gaze sharpened as he observed the group encircling them, a hint of caution in his eyes. One of them then laughed heartily, pointing at their tail, "What is that? Is that supposed to be a tail? How are they supposed to swim?"
"Do not!" Tsireya hisses, swiftly moving to smack Roxto's hand away. Sensing the tension, you saunter towards them, joining Tsireya in scolding the boys. "Be nice," you chide firmly.
Neteyam's attention shifts, his gaze locked on you as you approach Ao'nung and place a firm hand on his bicep.
In that moment, Neteyam witnesses a silent conversation unfold between the two of you, communicating with nothing but your eyes.
'You are being mean again,' you assert, raising your eyebrows and fixing your intense gaze upon the Metkayinan boy. Ao'nung blinks slowly, a dull look on his face. With a click of his tongue, he shuts his eyes and huffs in resignation. 'I know,' he concedes.
As all four of you shift your attention back towards the newcomers, Tsireya beams with enthusiasm, her warm greeting echoing once more, "We welcome you."
Lo'ak acknowledges her with a nod and a mumbled greeting, and you can't help but notice Tsireya's endearing reaction. Her cheeks flush, and her smile turns almost bashfully giddy as she glances down at her feet, clearly charmed by the interaction.
Months had passed since the Sully's integration into your village. You couldn't help but admire their quick learning, seamlessly adapting to the ways of the water in less than a month. As you spent more time training with them, your bond with the siblings grew stronger, particularly with endearing little Tuk, who always seemed eager to drag you along the shore to play.
'This is going to be interesting.'
Tumblr media
Amidst the camaraderie, not everyone got along. Fights frequently arose between Ao'nung and the two Sully brothers, resulting in heated scuffles, both physical and verbal. And while Ao'nung and Lo'ak seemed to have made some progress in improving their relationship, the situation with Neteyam remained…unresolved at best.
"Ao'!" You gasp out, flinching back when he tackles Neteyam to the ground. The two boys exchange hits with fervor, their fists flying in rapid succession as they grapple with each other.
"Oh, you skxawngs!" you huff, unable to contain your frustration any longer. You grab hold of Neteyam's tail, pulling him off Ao'nung and breaking up the fight. "What is wrong with you two?!"
"I told him to back off!" Neteyam snarls, his hand pressed against a blossoming bruise on his torso. Ao'nung clicks his tongue, rolling his shoulders as he stands up, his expression defiant. "Maybe you should back off my mate."
The tension in the air remains palpable as emotions run high, leaving you caught in the middle of the escalating conflict. You don't miss how Neteyam's shoulders drop, his mouth agape as his eyes dart between the two of you.
Confusion fills his gaze as he stammers, "Mate?"
"I am Tsakarem," you affirm, taking a step towards Ao'nung's side to assess his injuries. "But it's bold of you to claim that I'm your mate," you add, clicking your tongue disapprovingly. Neteyam, catching your mocking tone, seems to perk up and grin
"Don't get too excited, forest boy," Ao'nung grumbles, his gaze drilling holes into Neteyam's head, "She is still promised to me."
Sighing you tuck your head into his shoulder, begging him to shut up.
May Eywa help you.

König publicly swore to his team if he ever met the Ghost in person he would wrestle him on site. When Ghost heard the rumor he loudly bragged that he could win in 5 minutes.
The 2 teams meet for a shared mission and these legends lock eyes for the first time in front of both teams. And immediately start acting like rival bull moose. Literally crashing heads like rams trying to pin each other to the ground. No finesse no words no posturing just grunting and wrestling like they gotta prove something. Idiot college fuckboi jock style.
All the on lookers are just 😐. Horangi is confused but not, gaz is struggling to comprehend, soap is stoked, and price is filing for retirement as it all goes down.
Turns out the 2 legends are pretty evenly matched and they are beyond pissed about it. An hour in and they are no closer to a victor. The teams now have a betting pool going and price has called Kate to convince her to accept his resignation right now please, I can't do this anymore.
-sorry this is long. It got away from me a little
Everyone thought it was a joke, that the rumor circulating about KorTac’s colonel wanting to wrestle 141’s Ghost upon first meeting, it couldn’t possibly be real. But it was, to Ghost at least. He wanted it to be real, he wanted the infamous Konig wanting to challenge him to a test of strength. It was a ego boost, it made him even more annoying.
“It’s not real, LT. Why would the colonel want to fight you?”
“Wrestle, Garrick! He sees me as a challenge!”
“Hmm, right…”
Soap wasn’t helping the situation, he was also convinced the rumor was true… or he wanted Ghost to go pick a fight with Konig, Gaz wasn’t sure which one it was, honestly. Price was only partially bothered by it, maybe because he believed it was just Ghost fucking around and that he actually wouldn’t go head to head with the colonel.
If only that was the case.
The chance of running into KorTac’s colonel while on the field was extremely low, but it still happened. Both teams froze in shock at the appearance of the other, and Konig immediately looked at Ghost before shoving his gun into the arms of the closest operator. The excitement that took Ghost as he all but threw his gun at Gaz before charging Konig.
“This isn’t fucking happening.”
It was. Ghost was currently trying to overpower Konig who was trying to throw him to the ground. The KorTac men and women just blinked before a couple took their phone out and started recording. Gaz wasn’t sure how to feel, just watching Ghost all too eagerly take on a literal mountain of a killing machine like a kid on Christmas while Soap cheered him on loudly.
Oh, Price walked off, too. Lovely.

Pair: Sirius Black x Reader

Looking at him and the way he transformed back from his animagus form, he looked like a shell of his old self, as if someone had stolen something from him and he didn't know how to ask for it back.
You stood frozen, not sure whether to strangle him into a hug until he was suffocated from your love or wait and see if he would even want you to touch him.
There he was, Sirius Black, on the front steps of the home you had both picked out after graduating from Hogwarts.
"Y/n?" His voice croaked out. "Say something, please."
The only thing that escaped your lips was a sob as tears streamed down, you gave into your inhibitions and ran to him, throwing your arms around his shoulders. He caught you the same way he always had with the same hug you always gave him when you were excited to see him after a whole summer apart, or whenever you passed a test and were overly anxious to tell him.
His arms circled your waist in the same familiar way you had almost forgotten.
"I love you, I believed you, I never stopped believing" You cried into the crook of his shoulder. You needed him to know that. You pushed back all the memories of the conversations and debates you had with Remus and other members of the Order who believed Sirius was guilty.
He gently pulled you away from him, taking you in from the last twelve years he saw you, murmuring as he stroked your tear-stained cheeks "I love you more, darling."
"Come in," You entwined your hands to guide him into your once-shared home, a home he barely had time in. "The place is pretty much the same."
"Your taste hasn't changed," He took in the decorations and furniture of the house.
You let your hand fall from his and nervously fiddled with your fingers as he looked around, "Hope you don't mind."
A half chuckle- half sob escaped from Sirius, "Of course not, love." He swiped his nose with the sleeve of the black and white striped prison robes. "What I do mind is you seeing me in this wretched state, I assume the bath hasn't changed?"
"Same as it's always been, let me grab you a towel and some fresh clothes." You rush off to the bedroom where you had kept Sirius's old clothes in a box and a closet where you store all the extra household items.
You heard the shower running from the thin walls and took a moment to gather your thoughts. He was back, he was not a murderer. He was back and he still loved you. You took a few deep breaths despite your heart still racing at the sight of him.
~~~
Weeks had gone by since he had escaped from Azkaban and waking up next to him in the same bed had not felt real.
Weeks turned to months and life had taken a turn for, what could be considered the best.
What brought you to reality was the nightmares you would coax Sirius out of, something you were used to doing even before Azkaban unfortunately. The only difference was there was nothing you could tell him now that could comfort him.
What did help was the fact that Harry knew the truth now and the reunion between Remus and Sirius had gone well. As amazing as that was, Sirius wasn't himself.
He lacks the flair he used to have; not that you minded, whatever made Sirius happy- made you happy. Whatever made him upset, equally affected you as much. You noticed Sirius has been trying to follow a routine in the same way he used to.
Tried the same hair products he used to use, it ended up with his hair sticking out in odd ways that frustrated him to no end, if he didn't love his long hair so much he would've shaved it all off.
Sirius attempted to style himself the way he once did and your shared room was littered with mountains of his clothes.
The results would put him in a foul mood.
"What's wrong, love?" It was one of Sirius' more difficult days. He didn't communicate his thoughts, he kept it all to himself and stayed moody for the rest of the day until he returned to his normal state of being.
He appeared to be zoned out, lost in thought, leaning on the counter in the kitchen with his arms crossed. He shook his head, "Nothing. Just thinking."
You broke through his arms, your fingers threaded through his hair, and he relinquished his hold to settle his hands on your hips. "Mind if I ask you what you were thinking of?"
He stayed silent for a moment, then two, inhaling a shaky breath.
"Am I as handsome as I once was?"
The question would have made you laugh if it wasn't for the poor-kicked puppy look he had. Sirius was rarely one to be insecure, it had you at a loss for words.
Your eyes scanned his, then the rest of his features. The curve of his naturally dark eyebrows, that matched his raven black hair. The perfectly shaped nose, and lips that you never got tired of tasting. His skin, smooth and the light freckles scattered on his face looked like a constellation.
It was true that he had aged, but as you had always expected, his age didn't take away from his beauty. A decade and a couple of years weren't going to take that from him like he was blessed by a god.
"Sirius, you have been and always will be beautiful to me," You confessed. You kissed both his cheeks, "You're more than beautiful, you're angelic."
You catch his eyes as he ducks his head shyly with a smile creeping onto his lips and give him a small peck.
He runs his hand through his hair and releases a breath while looking at the ceiling to keep the tears from running, "Thank you, love. I just haven't felt like myself since, well, you know. Nothing has felt the same, except for you." He squeezes your hips and brings you in for a tight hug.
"No need to thank me, Siri, I'm just happy you finally told me what was wrong." You kissed the side of his head and enjoyed the warmth of his neck before pulling back. "I'm sorry I don't tell you enough, should've known what was wrong by the constant outfit changes."
He chuckled, and you echoed his laughter. His smile dies slowly and he admires you in a way that has always intimidated you, the weight of his stare is heavy, "I suppose insecurity is the cost of having a goddess as a girlfriend."
His lips crashed onto yours and moved with such a consuming want and need for you. All of his kisses were loving and filled with a combination of emotions but this one took you back.
A nervous giggle escapes you, "Sirius-" You mumble his name against his mouth that continues to pursue yours.
"Yes?" He answered after you were unresponsive. He opened his eyes and stared at you, "I'm being perfectly serious."
"No, I am," You insist placing your hands on his shoulders.
He moved into your neck and trailed kisses down to the crook between your shoulder and neck, "I wouldn't be too sure of that."
You tried your best to ignore the fluttering in your stomach that was traveling lower with each suck and bite he gave you. "How about we do something haven't done in a while?"
"A while? Just the other day we-" He appeared puzzled when he pulled his head back.
"Not that!" You shook your head. "Come."
You lead him to the couch and gently push him down to sit, you then go into your bathroom and search through the drawers until you find what you were looking for. Back in the living room, you set down the materials you gathered and turned on the muggle television to whatever was on.
"What are you up to?" Sirius asked.
You pulled out the black nail polish from the pouch you held the paint bottles in and tossed his way with a last-minute 'Catch'.
"We're starting with this."
He lifts a brow, "Starting?"
"I'm helping you get back to feeling more like yourself," You sit on the couch, laying your legs across his lap, and bring his hands to settle atop your knees. "That's only if you want to, I just want to help and if you don't want to then we can find another way, nail polish was just a go-to back then."
You would've continued to ramble if not for him kissing you, being back with Sirius had brought back the little school girl in you that you had lost throughout the war, then again- he's always been able to bring out a different side of you.
"I want to," His voice was quick and encouraging.
"Good," You tapped his nose which made him scrunch it up. As you began coating his nails with a base, you felt a bit of courage to confess something you'd held in during the early years of your relationship. "You know at Hogwarts when we got together, some girls Marlene hung out with told me I wasn't good enough to be with someone like you."
"Someone like me?"
You hummed, brushing on the first coat of the black polish to the first dried base-coated finger. "Handsome, gorgeous, god-like."
Sirius tilted his head back and laughed, "God-like."
"Their words, not mine but looking at you now after all those years, they weren't wrong."
"They were wrong about you," He mumbled, laying his forehead against the side of your head and into your hair. "My perfect, pretty girl."
"And you're wrong about yourself," You took a pause on the painting and stroked his cheek. "I love you."
"I love you."
•○🌑○•
She ran, glancing behind her to see if the creepy male was still following her. He was, even though he was far behind.
This wasn't working. She had to find another way to get rid of him.
She had been sitting in a corner of the throne room, trying to not catch anyone attention when the male had shown up. He had started up a conversation, his hands slowly inching towards her rear. Even though she had told him she was uncomfortable and made it clear she did not want anything to do with him. He had gotten angry, as all makes did when denied something, especially something they felt entitled to. He'd tried to force her to a dark alcove nearby, but she had fled.
Now here she was.
She turned around the corner, glancing behind her again. And smacked straight into something hard.
As she reared back to look at what–who– it was, all the blood drained from her face.
The Queen's Whore.
Night Court's High Lord works too, she thought to herself.
He smirked at her, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Going somewhere? Maybe I could accompany you?" Y/n shook her head, petrified. She had seen what he could do, and she had no intention to get his attention on her. "What a shame, I would have loved to spend some time with such a beauty."
Despite being scared out of her wits, she blushed. But then she remembered why she was running in the first place. But it was too late now.
A hand clamped down on her wrist, so tight her hand started to go numb. She turned to the male, trying to tug her hand out of his hold to no avail. She stared at his hand helplessly, knowing nothing could save her now. Screaming would only incense him further, and the High Lord at her back was more likely to laugh at her than help her out.
"Do you know him darling?"
Her head whipped around to the High Lord, but before she could answer, the male still holding her hand wrapped an arm around her and stepped back. "We've been talking all night, my Lord. We know each other."
The High Lord raised a brow. "Did I ask you?" Then, turning to her, he asked. "Is he telling the truth?"
Y/n wanted to deny it, but he was speaking the truth. And she had seen the High Lord kill people for the smallest lies. Not wanting to offend him by lying, she nodded, her eyes pleading.
And she didn't know if he saw the pleading in her eyes, or he was just curious, but he asked, "Do you want to go with him?" She shook her head frantically, hope flaring in her chest.
But then the High Lord shrugged and turned away. She was so shocked that she didn't pay attention to the male who was still holding her as he started struggling against invisible forces, only looking at him when crumpled to the ground.
Stunned, she turned back towards the High Lord, who smirked at her.
"I don't think I caught your name. What was it again?"
"Y/n..."
"Y/n." He muttered, as if testing out the syllables of her name. He hummed. "I like it." He leaned against the nearest wall, as if getting comfortable. "So, miss Y/n, what do you do when you are not being chased around by males?"
"Nothing... my job is to sit and look pretty so my father can marry me off to the highest bidder when he deems fit." She slapped a hand over her mouth as soon as the words were out. She hadn't meant to say that. The High Lord wasn't to be trusted, especially because he could just run back to his mistress and blabber all about what he'd seen today.
A slow smile spread on his as he studied her. "I like you."
A few months later, he would be whispering I love you in her ear.
But that isn't the point here.
The point is that he would forget those words and the female he had said them to when a mortal would free them from their prison.
The point is that he would leave the female he had loved so fiercely.
The point is that he would leave her to fend for herself in a dangerous world.
The darn point here is that he would leave her with a life growing in her.
And he wouldn't know about it until it was too late.
•○🌑○•
She was dreaming. Again. Of him.
It wasn't a nightmare, but that would have been preferable to the happy dream that she was having, where he hadn't left her to her father's mercy. Where he was present in their life. Her and her son's. Their son's. But when she had dreams as these, she was filled with a sense of longing and sadness, hatred and fury.
But thank the cauldron, she was woken up. By a little body jumping around on the bed. She smiled sleepily, eyes still closed. She grasped around blindly in search of the little devil, who shrieked and evaded her. She pulled back her hands, lying still as her son came to plop down on her chest. She knew he was going to do that, but still she grunted when his weight settled over her.
"Mama! Wake up." He whined. Y/n opened her eyes to look into the beautiful violet orbs of Finnian. He grinned at her, sitting up. "Mama, you said we'll go to a drawing class."
"That I did, my little joy. But before that, would you help Mama with breakfast?"
He nodded enthusiastically, already jumping off the bed and running out the doors. Y/n yelled after him to be careful, getting up before stretching and making her way downstairs.
As she set about making some pancakes for the two of them, Fin blabbered about anything he could think of. As he started eating, Y/n's mind wandered to a few days ago, when she had arrived in this city. The City of Starlight, they called it. And she could see why.
She was originally from Dawn Court, but after they had been freed from Amarantha's reign, she had fled from her father's home, making a life for herself in Day Court. A few weeks ago, she had seen her father waking in one of the markets that she visited frequently, and she had never been more scared. For her life, sure, but more so for her sons life. If her father realised of Fin's existence, he wouldn't stop until he got rid of the little boy.
So Y/n had sought out a man who promised her that he could smuggle the two of them to a place that not many knew about. Frantic in her instincts to save her child, she didn't ask where this secret place was.
She didn't regret her decision, but now she was always on alert, always looking over her shoulder to see if her former lover was somehow following her. And then again, what were the odds of her crossing paths with him in such a big city?
Extremely high. A voice inside her screamed, but she ignored it.
After the breakfast, Fin again started talking about the painting classes that he was going to today. A neighbor had told Y/n about these classes and that her kids loved to go and that she should let Fin attend them too.
And since Fin had learned of it, that's all he had been talking about.
•○🌑○•
Fin ran through the large doors with Sam, his new friend who was the son of their neighbour, leaving Y/n yelling at them to slow down. Despite that, the two boys didn't listen and then Fin ran into a male who was standing inside the room where the classes were going to take place.
"Oh mother, are you okay?" Y/n rushed to help Fin stand back up, crouching in front of him and checking him for any injuries.
"I'm okay mama."
Y/n nodded, standing and turning to the male to apologise. As her eyes met ones identical to her son's, she froze. Those eyes she had loved, ones she adored always, were wide with shock and staring straight at her.
Neither of them said anything. It seemed like they didn't breathe as well.
The male she had spent years searching, the male she had waited everyday for, the male she had grown to resent day by day when he didn't show up, the one she had been trying her best to hide away from, was now standing in front of her, his lips parted and an anguished look in his eyes.
She was numb, her mind not working, but atleast she had the sense to push Fin behind her.
Which wasn't the best move, considering the High Lord's eyes went straight to the little boy peeking from behind Y/n's skirts.
A broken breath escaped him, his eyes starting to water as he looked back at Y/n.
She took a step back, turning away. Her eyes fell on another familiar face, whose eyes constantly jumped from Y/n to him.
Feyre.
Sam tugged on Feyre's hand, pulling her to stand right next to the High Lord. As she did, her scent reached Y/n. And it was mixed with his. And her heart broke once more.
The high lord had left her for Feyre?
"Auntie Y/n, this is our teacher."
The females offered each other tentative smiles. "I didn't realise our cursebreaker would be teaching kids to paint."
"But here we are." Feyre said, confusion still lacing her features. But then her eyes fell on the boy behind Y/n, her brows furrowing. Her features smoothed out with understanding as her eyes met Y/n's again. "I believe he is here to join us?"
"Yes. A neighbor told us about this. He's been impatient to finally to make friends. Isn't that right baby?"
"Yes mama!"
She smiled, despite her heart and mind screaming at her to take Fin away in case his father tried to take him away from her.
She told herself she wouldnt stop him from being here though, especially as she knew how excited her son had been for this. And she won't keep him away from making friends, as she had been when she was his age.
She would maybe start looking for somewhere else to settle. But for today, she would let him enjoy.
She crouched to his height, kissing his chubby cheeks and forehead, to which he giggled. "You remember what mama has told you about talking with strangers?"
"Yes. Okay bye mama. I wanna go with Sam."
"Bye darling." She whispered, knowing he couldn't have possibly heard it as he sprinted away. She stared after him for a moment, he motherly instincts telling her to go get her child. She stood, prepared to leave, but then turned to the High Lord who still stared at her helplessly.
"Stay away from him." A pause. "My lord."
"Y/n..." His voice broke. "Please."
"Please what?"
"Don't kick me out of his life. He deserves to have a father. He deserves to know–"
"He doesn't need a father. He's been well and happy without one. And even if he does need one, I'll get him one. But not one that would probably run away at the first chance."
Then she turned and left, hoping Rhysand wouldn't try to do something to her child.
“Kaz wait up!” Tiny feet pattered through the fields of tall, dying grass of the season. “You’re too fast!”
Laughter spilled from the young boy’s lips as he kept running to the small lake. The young girl tried her best to catch up, while the pair was followed by the older Rietveld boy.
“Yeah, Kaz, you’re too fast!” Jordie called out as he kept his pace to match Y/N’s.
“You’re just too slow!” Kaz laughed as he reached the lake.
Y/N threw herself down next to him, gasping for air. “That wasn’t fair.” The boy said nothing but smiled brightly at her. She smiled back, watching the older boy with eyes that held him in such a high regard. The two year age gap felt like a mountain to her but she adored him with her whole heart. He was her bestest friend, the only one who sat with her in the school yard during lunch and the only one who stood up for her against bullies. The oldest of the Reitveld brothers had quickly picked up on the strong bond between the two and left them to have their fun.
They never would’ve guessed what life would have thrown at them, but one thing was for sure. That whatever it was, it wouldn’t get in the way of their friendship. As cheesy as it sounded, it stood the test of time.
~
“Y/N/N,” Kaz nodded to the girl who sat in the window seat of his room. She had curled in on herself with a book in hand with the window pushed open. “You’ll catch a cold, close the window.”
She rolled her eyes at him but smiled as her eyes continued to follow his movements. He reached into his dresser to pull out a new set of clothes, eyeing the extra shirt he left out for her on her chair opposite his by the desk. Everything would’ve passed off as a normal evening for the two if only she didn’t notice that Kaz’s limp was heavier than normal and his shoulders were so tense he was almost hunching.
Y/N grabbed a spare sheet of paper and slipped it in between her book pages. “How was your day, Kaz?” A grunt was all she received in response causing her to roll her eyes. “Come on, Kaz. What’s got you in a knot?”
She could hear the rustling of his clothes from the bathroom and waited patiently for him to finish. She quickly slipped out of her clothes and into the spare shirt that was set out for her, letting it fall just above her knees as she walked to grab a pair of thick socks.
Kaz walked out of the bathroom in his black night clothes set, avoiding eye contact with Y/N as he made his way over to his desk. He sifted through a few files and started to put them away in the desk drawer. Her y/e/c eyes scanned over him thoughtfully, trying to piece together what happened.
“What’s wrong, Kazzle?” she spoke quietly, adding her childhood nickname for him.
His shoulders tensed again. “Don’t call me that,” his voice was strained, it almost sounded pained.
Y/N moved to sit in her chair across from him. “You’re going to have to tell me what’s wrong eventually… You know that.”
She watched as he clenched and unclenched his jaw, his thoughts racing and flickering through his eyes.
“Do you ever wonder what our lives would be like if we still lived on the farm?”
The question caught her off guard for a moment before she understood what was wrong. “I do sometimes, but i don’t pay it much thought.”
Kaz hummed. “We would probably have a family and live on my parent’s farm. I would’ve put a ring on your finger a long time ago and I would’ve gotten your father’s blessing. We probably would have had a traditional wedding. Unless you didn’t want that, then we’d do whatever you wanted.”
“Kaz,” Y/N reached her hand out across the desk.
He placed his finger tips against hers. “I’m sorry I can’t give you that life. That I’ve forced you to live this out with me. You didn’t deserve any of that.”
“Hold on now. You didn’t force me into anything. I chose to live this life with you. I wasn’t going to lose you no matter what. You didn’t force me into this life, Kaz.”
He sighed as he finally made eye contact with her. “I’ve changed, that much is obvious, and with you staying beside me… You’ve had to change in order to adapt to me.”
“And I would do it all over again if it meant we are seated right here today. Sure everything was easier in our firefly catching days, running through the fields but look at us now. I happen to like us the way we are right now. Sure, we’re far from perfect and I know you think you’ve done terrible things. But remember, I did them too. Please don’t think that I need or want anything different from what you’ve given me or who you are. That insults me.”
Kaz squeezed her fingertips in her hand, and tried to hide the flush of his cheeks. His eyes spoke his gratitude more than his lips ever could. She smiled her bright never changing smile as they both came to terms with the situation. Sure life would be great if they were able to stay back home and had never stepped foot in Ketterdam. On the other hand, if they never came to Ketterdam they wouldn’t have their friends or all the life experience they’ve gained along the way. The couple may be in their early thirties but they felt like they were still growing up. And as long as they were by each other’s side they’d be innocent in the other’s eyes.
Hi! Would you mind writing a Tom!peter parker x fem reader. Something where she is really shy and doesn't think Peter likes her and then maybe she gets injured or something and Spiderman helps her then reveals he is peter and confession? Thanks for your time!
A/N: last time I sprained my ankle it happen on stairs like this, except I wasn't looking at my phone, I was carrying a huge box so I couldn't see my feet... also I remember not telling anyone and walking all the way home on it, just biting in the pain...
∼ gentle reminder that feedback, but especially reblogs are the way you support writers on here ∽
“Hey miss?” you blinked up from your swollen foot to see none other then the masked hero of the city, “you alright there?”
“Oh my god, you’re-, you’re-…” you stumbled, your eyes growing wide as Spiderman kneeled down before you, “h-hi.”
“Are you okay?” he asked, your overactive nerves not causing his concern to fade.
“Yeah, I was just looking at my phone when I walked down the stairs,” you breathed, motioning back at the mountainous steps you now rested at the foot of, “and thought I was at the bottom, but apparently I wasn’t and fell and now I think I might have sprained my ankle with how it rolled when I tumbled down.”
“Mind if I have a look?”
Palm running down over the broken denim at the slope of your knee, you sighed, “why not,” stretching your right leg slightly over in his direction, “can’t really make it much worse now.”
Carefully scooping it closer with his already extended fingers, you failed to swallow a sharp hiss as he gently inspected your enflamed appendage, “yeah, that’s sprained alright.”
“What are you a doctor when you’re not swinging around New York?” the joke flew out past your lips faster than you could catch it.
“U-uh…” he slowly lowered your foot back down, though your panicked words filled the air before he had a chance to react.
“Sorry, that was a joke,” you averted your gaze, mentally chastising yourself as you felt a hot flush creep over your features, “a really really bad joke…”
Still steady at your side, the masked man offered, “you want some help getting home?”
“F-from you?” your saucer-like eyes stared up at him, “no, I couldn’t ask you to do that, there’s probably a robbery or something more important just around the corner you should-”
“This is important,” he calmly cut off your babbling, “I can’t just let a fellow New Yorker try and stumble home on a sprained ankle all alone.”
“I kinda live all the way out in Queens…” you gnawed at your bottom lip, the throbbing pain becoming more paralyzing with every passing minute.
“Yeah, I know-,” he eagerly answered, almost as if your destination hadn’t been a surprise, then hastily reeled back and corrected himself, “I mean, I was heading in that direction already.”
“Alright, um, thank you, Spiderman,” you timidly smiled up at him, genuinely blown away by his kindness.
Supporting your weight, he gave you a hand as you straightened yourself back up from the cold steps. Wincing lowly as you briefly tested what a little pressure on the injury felt like, the pain swiftly got switched out with a flutter in your belly as the hero guided both your arms around his neck and drew you in close.
Gliding his left arm further down and hooking it around your waist, he tilted his masked features down closer to you as he uttered, “hold on tight,” before white webbing shot out of his right wrist and wrapped around the tall lamppost you stood under.
Shhhh.
It’s silliness, really, that makes Tango creep through the hollows in Decked Out’s walls to his mess of shulkers full of in-game items. He keeps his footsteps light, his breathing shallow, picturing himself a ghost as he slinks through the shadows and stone. It’s silly, but he can’t help but think that maybe, if he’s quiet enough, he might be able to—
Steal from the dungeon.
His fingers touch the shulker he needs, and the stone around him groans, deep and resonating through his bones. Tango grits his teeth, freezing. Busted. He’d known, really, but it’s still—
“It’s fine,” he says to the air, tail lashing, not quite opening the box just yet. “It’s a starter deck. If I was a normal player, I’d have had a Moment of Clarity in my deck from the get-go.”
Another grumble of discontent. Tango shivers. He can feel the disapproval crawling beneath his skin, and it takes all his willpower not to drop the shulker like a hot coal.
“I know,” he says. “I thought I explained this! It’s an experiment, right? I’m seeing—seeing how dungeon knowledge makes up for a, uh, relative lack of skill.” The dungeon’s unhappiness remains where it is, but does not increase, and Tango lets out a shaking breath as he cracks open the lid of the shulker and peers inside just enough to spot and snag one of the cards he needs. He turns it between his fingers, glittering cardboard, the golden foil glittering in the torchlight.
“I know I’m not a regular player,” Tango reassures the dungeon once again. “We talked about this, didn’t we? I’m not gonna submit Victory Tomes. And I’m starting behind everyone else. I won’t even run as much! I’m just—gonna try it. Think of it like the test runs again, yeah?”
The discontent surges—then wanes, like a wave rushing back out to sea, and Tango feels like he can breathe again, the pressure on his lungs lessening. He hadn’t realised just how uncomfortable the weight had been until it was gone. Feeling ten tons lighter, Tango grins at the air.
“See? And, hey, if I run the dungeon, you’ll probably get to eat me loads more. You like that, don’t you?” A wry smirk. “I’m basically your favourite meal.”
The dungeon—doesn’t quite laugh, but the groan is quieter, softer, and tickles more than it prickles or aches. It’s not quite approval, and it’s not happy, but—it’s letting him. It’s letting him run, Moment of Clarity and all.
Tango tucks the additional card away inside his inventory and makes to leave the small, cramped storage room that isn’t a storage room and that Pearl would definitely murder him for. He hurries through his actual storage room and up to the water elevator. He should get his runs done before the dungeon changes its mind again. Honestly, sometimes Decked Out is more of a pain than the Ravagers are.
…He is glad that it had fallen for his excuses, for the experiment and beta testing explanations, because he’s not sure the dungeon would appreciate his actual reasons for running quite as much. It’s quite particular about the place of its Dungeon Master, and what is and isn’t appropriate for Tango to do. It's why Tango spends hours and hours of his day watching people run the dungeon instead of working on all those repairs he’s got mounting on a list in the back of his mind. And why he has to give a mountain of excuses to play the game he’d helped make. Because really, in actuality—
Tango just wants to have a little fun.
Is that too much to ask?
He places a shard in the barrel and watches the doors open. He can feel the dungeon’s eyes on him already, and it’s weird to not be looking through them himself as he takes off his armour and stores his stuff in the chest. He takes a deep breath, tucks the stolen Moment of Clarity into his deck, and makes his way through the iron door.
Decked Out curls beneath his skin, curious and hungry, and as Tango places his deck into the slot, he feels the dungeon purr.
It okay, I know you've been busy and Tumblr sometimes eats the asks and trust me, I try not to he too persistent Bout asks and I deeply apologize :(
In the ask, that scene where Tyrion played the game of thrones with Petyr, Lord Varys and Maester Pycelle about who he was going to propose a marriage between Myrcella with either Robin Ayrryn of the Vale (it's been awhile since I've watched it), Theon Greyjoy of the Salt Islands or even to Doane so she would be safe if King's Landing fell
What IF he also did the same thing for Joanna!lookalike? He knows that ever since Joffrey became king, things have been going down and Tyrion worries if his nieces will live through it; so thats when he sets plans into motion:
He tells Petyr Baelish that he plans to marry Myrcella to Robin Arryn and Joanna!lookalike to Robb Stark in hopes of ending this war
To Lord Varys, he tells him that he plans to wed Myrcella to Theon and Joanna!lookalike to Euron Greyjoy (not like he really would, he just testing for allies, plus Cersei kill him)
And he tells Maester Pycelle about marrying his nieces off to Dorne; when Myrcella wedded to Tristan I think his name was, and Joanna!lookalike to Oberyn Martell
And of course, Cersei is furious when she finds out as not only is it an insult to her, but to HER oldest daughter; forced to marry a man half her age just like Cersei was to Robert, plus Oberyn already has a paramour AND bastard daughters! So it's basically an insult to her daughter!! 😤
But Tyrion wants his nieces safe, especially for his eldest to he away from her overbearing family, forced to live in the same place as his mother as they basically dehumanize her from being her own person; so its best for her to he spirited away, have a breather away from her suffocating family... :(
In Tyrion’s mind he’s doing everything in his power to ensure Myrcella and Joanna!lookalike!Reader will be safe and protected but to Cersei this is just him trying to take away her precious children and a way to just simply hurt her. She sees nothing about this being for either of her girls’ safety. How could selling both her daughters to treacherous men in a cruel world come anywhere close to being protection??? The best protection either girl has is Jaime or the Mountain and both of them are right there in King’s Landing so why even bother outsourcing.
If Tyrion is so hellbent on sending away one of her daughters then Cersei would much rather have Joanna!Lookalike!Reader stay by her side where they belong. As much as she loves her darling Myrcella, Cersei can’t have the Reader taken away from her again.
Meanwhile, Tyrion isn’t just trying to keep his nieces safe, he’s also trying to get Joanna!lookalike far away from Cersei. He knows his sister and he knows she’ll only take Joanna!lookalike down with her in the end. At least this way the Reader will have a better chance at having some semblance of a fulfilling life so long as they’re away from Cersei and Tywin.
Speaking of which, without a doubt Cersei will run to their father to tell him all about what Tyrion is trying to do. Tywin will surely put a stop to it, at least he’d put a stop to Joanna!lookalike!Reader’s proposals. Myrcella would still end up being shipped off one way or another, sooner or later. But not the Reader, they’re off limits after all. And Tywin would have some very choice words for Tyrion for even thinking of doing such a thing with Joanna!lookalike!Reader in the first place.
Every Na'vi is born twice. The second time is when you earn your place among the people forever.
It's a sacred task, a hard one at that. First, you must choose your Ikran. It's a test every young hunter must pass, up high in the Hallelujah mountains lies Oo-rah.
"Be calm yawne" Neteyam spoke softly as he stepped behind you. In front of you lie hundreds of Ikrans. He rested his long nimble fingers on your lower back in an attempt to comfort you, remembering how nerve-racking it feels having done it not long ago.
You took in a deep breath clutching the rope-like vine you held in your palms as Jake and Neytiri followed not far behind Neteyam, just as eager to see you complete the task.
"Remember what we talked about y/n, this you must feel inside" He brings his hand up to rest right above your left breast. He could feel the erratic beating of your heart as you nodded. Neytiri spoke up from behind Neteyam, "When they choose you, you have to move quick like we showed, you will only have one chance y/n" You took in another deep breath in hopes to calm yourself as you felt Neteyam softly push you forward.
Taking another step forwards you watched as Ikran after Ikran ignored your advancing and flew away. You jumped down onto one of the lower rocks and hissed trying to get any of them to bite back.
One by one they all flew away leaving one single Ikran left. It was gorgeous. A beautiful deep purple with red stripes wrapped around its body in intricate patterns.
It stepped forward and hissed back, startling you a bit as it reached forward in an attempt to snatch you. You swung your rope and crouched hoping to get a better angle to mount the creature and tie its mouth.
Hissing once more you pounced, finally making your way around to jump on the creature's back. You make an attempt to wrap the vine around its mouth as it thrashes and jumps.
Suddenly the creature violently flings you to the side as you scramble to grab onto whatever you could reach to pull yourself back up.
Neteyam gasped stepping out to go help you before Jake pulled him back by the arm. "I cannot leave her father, let me go." He hissed as Jake shook his head at his son. "You cannot help her son, this is something she must do on her own."
You quickly pulled yourself back up onto the mountain, running to mount the Ikran again as you wrapped the vine around its snout successfully.
"Shahaylu, y/n. Make the bond!" Neteyam yelled as you reached behind for your queue. "I'm trying you skxawng!" you hissed as you finally managed to connect your queue and make the bond.
Suddenly it went quiet. The Ikran shivered as its pupils dilated. You took in a breath finally calming your breathing. "Maway, mawey" You whispered to the animal softly stroking the side of its neck. You could feel its heartbeat, its breath. It was nothing like you've ever felt before. Your souls were intertwined, connected.
"Go y/n! The first flight seals the bond!" Jake yelled as you nodded. Fly you thought as the Ikran finally flapped its wings and took flight.
It was a little shaky as it descended down the cliff but you finally got the hang of it as both you and the Ikran finally synced. God, there was nothing like it. You were born to do this. Born to fly. The wind whipped through your braids as you weaved in and out of the floating mountains.
From far away you could hear all three Sullys holler and yelp, all mounting their Ikrans to come and join you on your first flight. You watched as Neteyam banked right up next to your Ikran as he playfully nudged yours.
Neytiri and Jake watched from behind as the interaction reminded the two of them when they were younger.
As you pulled your queue away from your Ikran as it touched down close to home you sent your Ikran off. Neteyam next to you did the same as both of you finally got a chance to talk about the days events.
"I thought I lost you for a second there" He laughed as he brought his hand up to mess your hair up much like he did to his own siblings more often than not.
"I was fine Teyam', nothing I could not endure" you smiled up at him. "Have you thought of a name for your Ikran yet yawntutsyìp?" he asked as the two of you neared the secret cave you had shared since the two of you were just children.
It was a beautiful opening with different varieties of flowers and plants. Sat in the middle was a lake of sorts that had a secret little cave covered by a waterfall.
"Zíerèya" you finally answered after a beat of silence.
Neteyam smiled softly, your mother's name. Beautiful, just like its owner. "It's beautiful y/n" He reached for your hand intertwining your much smaller hands with his larger ones.
"Soon you will be expected to find a mate" He spoke with such a hushed tone you'd almost think he was upset. Your face contorted with confusion. What was this talk about a mate? In your mind, there was only one Na'vi you could imagine being your mate, and he was sitting right in front of you. Why couldn't he see that he was the only one you longed for?
"Nete, I do not understand? Why do you talk of this?" you questioned bringing your hand up to cup the boy's cheek looking up to see his face. His eyes were bright under the bioluminescent glow that cast across the forest as the eclipse neared. He nuzzled his cheek into your palm bringing his lips to your hand with a chaste kiss.
"Y/n there is something I must-" Neteyam was interrupted as the two of you heard a branch near the shore break under the weight of whatever was nearby. Neteyam brought his finger to his lips signaling for you to be quiet as he peeked around the opening of the cave.
"Neteyam! Mom wants you and y/n to head back for dinner" Lo'ak stood at the shore with his hands cupped around his mouth as he shouted towards his brother. The younger brother held a knowing smirk as the two of you made your way to him.
You walked ahead to hide the creeping blush that was adorning your face as Lo'ak playfully shoved Neteyam. "So big bro, did you get any?" Lo'ak asked with a smug smirk. Neteyam looked over at the boy " Shut up skxawng!" He threw a swift punch to his brother's arm earning a whine from Lo'ak as he rubbed the now sore spot.
"Are you nervous about your ceremony tomorrow ma y/n?" Neytiri asked as she set down the leaf topped with food in front of you. You shook your head "Not necessarily, I am nervous about the number of people who are going to attend. The whole tribe will be there!" You chuckled softly looking back down at your food.
"Have you given any thought to who you might choose to be your mate?" Kiri asked shooting Lo'ak a smug look who snickered behind his hand. You looked down as your face turned a light purple from the blush creeping up your cheeks. Neytiri and Jake shot each other a knowing look as Neteyam looked down at his lap.
"Let me see the coverings you made to wear to your ceremony tomorrow yawntutsyìp," Neytiri said breaking the awkward silence that had fallen over the hut as she stood up to follow you to your home not far from the Sullys.
You huffed as you smoothed down the intricately beaded outfit you had spent hours before today weaving and putting together. Although it was tedious and took a long time, it truly was a gorgeous piece. It accentuated your breasts perfectly and wrapped around your lower breastbone all the way to the front of your stomach where it connected to your equally as detailed loin cloth.
You brought your hands up to your hair as you attempted to re-braid the strands into a more elegant style rather than your usual braided locs.
"Need help?" The familiar voice startled you as you turned around to face the door. Neteyams breath caught in his throat at the sight of you. You looked unbelievable. It was like Ewya herself carved you to perfection. Just for him.
"You look incredible y/n," he said as he joined her in her hut. She smiled at him with a pout, "Thank you, Nete but I cannot seem to get my hair braided as it should." He nodded, understanding your frustration.
"Let me help" He reached up to weave the strands together in the spot you could not reach with your own hands.
When he was finished his hand traveled from your shoulder down to your hand to tug you to face him. "After your ceremony today, id like to take you somewhere" he spoke softly looking into your eyes. You smiled "Of course, can you help me with my paint?" He nodded motioning for you to sit in front of him as he dipped his fingers into the white paste you had set aside.
The two of you spoke nothing as he painted your face with the traditional style stripes. His fingers lingered as he brought them down to your lips as he let his gaze travel down your face until he was fully staring at your plump lips he so longed to kiss.
"Y/n my mother is ready for you to come-" Lo'ak stopped as he stood at the entry to your hut realizing he must have interrupted a moment between the two of you. He snickered as the two of you jumped to put more space between you as you both stood up. You excused yourself from the hut to go find Neytiri.
"Bro. You have got to make a move on her before someone else does." The younger brother spoke as Neteyam sighed. "I'm going to baby bro, it just wasn't the right time."
Your stomach bubbled in excitement as you stepped out to join the people making your way toward the Olo'eyktan. Jake stood in the center of the room dressed in his ceremonial headdress. He bit back a smile as you made your way toward him. He couldn't believe how fast you'd grown up. It seemed like just yesterday you were just a little girl bouncing around with his children in the stream.
You bowed your head as you stood in front of him. The tribe coming closer to join you as Neteyam took place by your side, Neytiri, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuk following close behind.
"You are now a daughter of the Omaticaya. You are part of the people." Jake finished as he rested both of his hands on your shoulders. Neteyam and the rest of his family followed his actions and soon you and the whole tribe were connected. It was done. The second part of your journey was now complete.
You tugged on Neteyams tail as you trailed behind him following to whatever destination he had planned. He chuckled as you gasped stopping to take a look at your surroundings.
"Come" he spoke grabbing your hand and leading you closer. You drug your hand through the glowing branches. "Utraya Mokri" you sighed grabbing onto some of the branches connecting your queue.
"It's beautiful Nete" He smiled and stepped beside you to grab a few branches himself. "My mother brought my father here the day he completed his ceremony" You beamed at him, thankful that he thought to bring you here.
A small gasp left your lips as a woodsprite floated between the two of you. Bringing your hand softly underneath it, you left it to float there until it made its way up higher into the tree.
"A sign from Eywa" Neteyam spoke so quietly you wouldn't have heard it if you had not been so close. You looked up at him sensing the nervous energy that was radiating off of the boy.
"What is it ma Neteyam, what troubles you?" He finally looked up at you cupping your cheek. "Y/n, I see you. I always have. All this talk about choosing a mate and I can't help but be selfish because I feel as though it should be me." His voice was unwavering and genuine as you processed what he just said. Neteyam felt the same way? After all this time?
"Neteyam, it has always been you. Anytime anyone mentioned a mate the only one that clouded my mind was you. I could not even think of anyone else." You could see the worry flood from the boy's face as he blushed.
"Can I kiss you yawntutsyìp?" you nodded as he leaned forward to connect his lips to yours. The kiss was slow and tentative, the both of you testing the waters. Soon the kiss turned more heated as Neteyam swiped his tongue over your bottom lip using your gasp as leverage as he slipped his tongue into your mouth.
You let out a moan deepening the kiss as Neteyam brought you to straddle his thighs.
"Please Teyam" you begged. You weren't even sure what you were begging for. "Shh shh, I've got you my love" He whispered laying you down onto the soft forest floor.
He broke the kiss only to bring them down to your chest as he kissed the valley between your breasts. You gasped entangling your hand into his braids keeping him as close as possible.
"So beautiful" he murmured toying with the beads on your top. "I choose you Neteyam, please" He stopped for a moment looking up at you from your chest. "Are you sure y/n, we will be mated for life?" he looked unsure as he stared into your eyes.
You smiled bringing your hand to rest on his cheek. "Yes, I'm sure" He nodded reaching around for his queue as you reached for yours.
He brought his up to yours as the two of you watched them connect.
You both gasped as you felt the connection travel through you from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. With the new connection, you could practically feel the love Neteyam had for you, it only multiplying with your own love for him.
Neteyam kissed your lips once more as he reached down to untie both his and your loincloth. He groaned as he pushed the tip in causing you to suck in a breath.
"My Ewya, you are so tight" Neteyam spoke through ragged breaths as he thrust once more finally seated fully inside your warm heat. The intrusion was new and strange but so so good.
"Move Nete, please" How could he deny you when you asked so nicely? He thrusts his hips faster rutting into you at a steady pace causing you to moan loudly. "you feel so good baby" you whined, the new pet name causing Neteyam to nuzzle his head into your neck as his thrusts faltered feeling himself get closer to his release.
There was an unfamiliar feeling building low in your stomach as he continued to hit a deep spongy spot within you. "Nete wait- I think- there's a feeling-" You could barely get a full sentence out as your vision started to blur.
"Its okay, my love. Let go, let me feel you" You let Neteyams words calm you as you let the feeling take over. It washed over you like fireworks, bursting throughout your body as you clenched down on him letting out a loud mewl.
Neteyam groaned as he felt himself get closer as you clenched down on him, the connection of your queues helping him feel everything tenfold. He brought his lips to yours in a messy kiss as he painted your walls with his release.
You gasped as he pulled out of you, moving to rest next to you as you both fought to catch your breath.
"Oel ngati kameie y/n" Neteyam spoke turning over to look at you.
"Oel ngati kameie my love"
Yawne: beloved
It Will Wither
Dewdrop's transition goes horribly wrong.
Notes: For the love of all that's unholy read the damn tags.
Read under the cut or on AO3.
They all knew it was a bad idea. A horrible one.
They didn’t know how horrible, though.
Only Dewdrop, Mountain and Aether were left of their pack. Zephyr got sent back to the Pit on their own request, Ifrit had followed his mate like he always had, Terzo had been ki… died.
Only Dewdrop, Mountain and Aether were left.
Their bond was fragile, compromised and put to test by all the events of the previous month. They had barely survived and just when they thought it would all get a bit better, the offer to Dewdrop was made. The offer which wasn’t one, really. What it was was an order and a threat at once, veiled in a pretty cursive font reading ‘proposition’.
Dewdrop, Mountain and Aether had screamed at each other and cried to each other for a week straight, trying to find a solution that wasn’t there, and so there they were. In a damp dungeon under the Abbey, waiting for Dewdrop to be ripped apart and put back together as someone—something—else.
“Dew, please, don’t leave us,” Mountain sobbed on his knees, face pressed into the water ghoul’s thighs where his bare legs were hanging off of the cold stone altar.
“I– I’ll try, Mounty,” he sniffled. “I’ll fight.”
“Promise me,” the earth ghoul demanded, looking up. “Promise me you’ll live.”
“Mountain–” Aether said quietly from behind him. He knew Dewdrop couldn’t make that promise.
“No! No, no, no, he’ll be okay. Right, water lily? You will be, we can’t lose you too, I can’t…” he cried, his whole body shaking. Dewdrop took a shaky breath and looked up at Aether pleadingly. The quintessence ghoul shook his head.
Dewdrop put his hands on Mountain’s head and pulled him up to look into his fresh grass colored eyes. “I promise.”
Mountain sobbed loudly again, holding onto his thighs with an iron grip, and the water ghoul looked back at Aether with a plea in his tear-filled eyes. Take him away.
He obliged, pulling Mountain up from the floor and into his arms, sending a shot of quintessence his way to calm him down. If that was even possible. Aether reached his free arm out to Dewdrop and the water ghoul took his hand, squeezing tightly. This could very well be their last goodbye and all three of them knew it.
With a single tear slipping down his cheek, Aether pulled Mountain out of the chamber and kicked the heavy door behind them.
Dewdrop was left alone in the dreadful silence of the room, but not for long. Soon enough the door opened again two people entered, Sister Imperator and a priest Dewdrop didn’t know. They didn’t even greet him, just gestured for him to lay down and take whatever it was they were about to do to him.
He obliged, well past wanting to argue, scream or cry.
When the stranger began to chant words Dewdrop didn’t recognize, when the candles burst into flames, when the fire started licking at his skin, when agonizing pain washed over him, when he started screaming… that was the last he remembered.
Tumblr media
The news of the ritual having ended was delivered to Aether by a text message. Anger boiled in him at how lightly his pack’s despair was treated by the Clergy. Still, he peeled himself away from Mountain—who he had to knock out with his quintessence when Dewdrop’s screams carried through the corridors—and all but ran to the infirmary, where he’d been told the remaining part of his pack was.
When he burst through the door, he felt his heart crack. He’d hear it, too, if not for the raised voices of the infirmary staff and doctors running around the single occupied bed, trying their best to save the broken little ghoul laying on it. His skin was raw and he looked so small. If Aether hadn’t known any better he’d scream at the doctor currently pressing down on his chest rhythmically to stop, to be gentler, lest he break that sweet creature’s ribs.
He did scream, but with a different plea on his lips.
The quintessence ghoul fell to his knees by the bed. He knew he was taking up space someone that could actually help could take, but if… but if that was it, he couldn’t move away. Someone tried to pull him back, but Aether didn’t budge, and soon they gave up.
It was all a blur to him, begging and crying and begging again to Dewdrop’s limp body as people around him tried to make his heart work again. He doesn’t know how long it has been, it felt like days to Aether, but when he could breathe again Dewdrop was stable. That’s what they told him.
“We got him back,” someone said. “He’s stable for now.”
For now.
For. Now.
Tumblr media
Dewdrop flatlined twice more. They got him back twice more. They told Aether he was stable for now twice more.
Neither he, nor Mountain had been with him those other two times. Not technically. The infirmary staff decided, after the first time, that they didn’t need two wailing demons on their hands as they tried to save the third one. They invested in sedating shots and male nurses strong enough to be able to inject Mountain and Aether with them once the panic set in.
Apart from that, they barely stepped away from him. They only did every other night to go sleep in his bed, that still carried a faint smell of him. It smelt more like him than he did, now. The fresh smell of a humid summer morning.
Morning dew.
The first night that they decided to spend away from Dewdrop—day four of his coma—Mountain took a piece of him with them. His horns, the beautiful twisted obsidian horns that had broken off had been laying on the bedside table like there was no value to them. Mountain grabbed them, squeezing so hard that the skin of his palms hadn’t broken only by a miracle.
Tumblr media
Day seven of Dewdrop’s coma.
It was morning. Mountain and Aether were sulking over the dining table, sipping their respective teas. There was no warmth around them.
They’d go see Dewdrop soon, sit by him and stare at his still face—like they've been doing for the last week—as if their intense gazes would make him open his eyes. As if it would make him better.
Mountain was putting their mugs away when he heard Aether gasp, and when his head snapped to the side his legs nearly gave out under him.
Dewdrop.
He was standing in the door to the commons, leaning against the door frame, in nothing but an oversized t-shirt that once upon a time had probably belonged to one of the ghouls currently stunned to death. The now fire ghoul had a soft smile on his face, even though it looked wrong with his skin all dry and warm-toned. But he was there. Alive. Awake.
Mountain threw himself at him first, squeezing him in his arms and apologizing for the pain it was causing him at the same time. Dewdrop winced but laughed, doing his best to hug the earth ghoul back. “I’m here. I’m here, Mounty.”
Aether approached them slowly, not believing his own eyes. “W– what are you doing here?”
He was afraid that if he tried to touch Dewdrop, the illusion would dissipate. He slowly outstretched an arm and placed a hand on his back, flinching at the unexpected warmth of his skin.
But he didn’t disappear.
“I snuck out,” he shrugged.
Still in disbelief, the quintessence ghoul wrapped his own arms around both Mountain and Dewdrop, pressing his nose into the latter’s hair. He smelled differently, so differently, but under all of it it was still him. It was still Dewdrop.
And he was alive.
Aether allowed himself a smile and silently begged Lucifer for it to last. For what his medically trained mind was supplying him with to not be true.
Dewdrop ate breakfast, then they cuddled and talked. They talked about the past, about the touring, about Terzo, Ifrit and Zephyr, recalling all the best memories they shared. They laughed, all three of them. Then they ate lunch, cuddled and talked some more. Then, they ate dinner and got ready for bed. The day went by way too quickly.
Mountain and Aether nestled Dewdrop tightly between them, their arms caging him in and their noses pressed into his neck as the three of them purred as loudly as ever.
“I love you,” Dewdrop told them. “Both of you, so, so much. You know that, right?”
“Of course, droplet,” Aether replied, kissing him softly.
“We love you, too,” Mountain added before slotting his own lips against Dewdrop’s.
“I just want you to remember that,” he whispered. “You’ll be okay.”
Soon, Mountain fell asleep, then Aether, holding Dewdrop closely. He waited, fighting against sleep, holding on to the energy that was leaving him with an iron grip, just to be able to look down at the two ghouls in his arms for a bit more. Just a bit longer.
“I’m sorry about my promise, Mounty,” Dewdrop muttered into Mountain’s hair and pressed a kiss to his forehead. He turned to Aether and did the same, “Take care of each other, Aeth.”
Then he let sleep take him.
When they woke up again, for just a moment they thought it had all been a bad dream. Dewdrop wasn’t hot like the evening before, his skin was cold. Just like it used to be.
But then they realized his heart wasn’t beating.
The sound that had ripped out of Mountain’s mouth at the realization would haunt Aether for eternity, burned into his brain. Just like the sight of Dewdrop’s cold, lifeless body being cradled tightly in the earth ghoul’s arms as he rocked back and forth, delirious.
“He knew,” he wailed. He was right. Dewdrop did know what it had been and that there wouldn’t be a next day for him.
“He did,” Aether confirmed. He felt empty, yet with anguish pouring off of him in waves. He couldn’t tear his tear-filled eyes away from the pale face of their dead packmate.
Dead.
The quintessence ghoul tried to calm his mind, thinking about how Dewdrop passed gently in his sleep, without pain, and in the arms of people he had loved the most, and who loved him. Always would.
But he couldn’t. Their Dewdrop was dead and there was nothing that could make it better.
Tumblr media
They didn’t burn his body, as it was customary for fire ghouls. To them he never was one. He was their droplet, their water lily, their Dewdrop. He always would be.
They wrapped him in a soft, baby blue cloth and put him into a stone coffin crafted by Mountain himself. He looked so small in it. So wrong.
They took him to the lake. He was a freshwater ghoul, after all. They knew the lake was deep enough and he loved it so much, it couldn’t be anywhere else.
Mountain didn’t cry this time. All he did, just before they pushed the coffin into the lake, was kiss the stone over where Dewdrop’s head was inside, and whisper, “You promised.”
Aether cried. Fat tears rolling down his cheeks one by one, shoulders shaking and mouth agape, letting out sobs and pained whimpers, hand against his chest, as if he was trying to hold together the heart that had shattered into million pieces inside him. He had to, for Mountain.
The noise the water made once the coffin had rolled off the dock and into the lake was agonizing for both of them. They’d never see Dewdrop swimming, jumping out of the water and twisting his lithe body in the air before diving back in with a grin on his face again. They’d never hear him splashing that water, or any other, again.
He was gone.
They stood there, clutching their matching necklaces made of Dewdrop’s obsidian horns in their hands, and clinging tightly to each other. They stared at the, now flat, surface of the lake as the sun slowly set and day turned into night, and they wondered how much more the two of them could take.
Neither of them found an answer.
What they found, though, was something to help the two of them survive. They’d give themselves time to grieve, but then… then the Abbey would turn to dust. And everyone in it.
feeling angsty and had a sudden wild thought
so we all know balladeer aka scaramouche would be such a toxic lover right? i mean the guy is constantly tested and experimented on by dottore - one of the cruelest mfs to ever exist - so of course his heart and mind would be screwed up and shut tightly to avoid himself getting hurt more.
even in his voiceline as a wanderer he still carries some of that toxic ways of thinking that if he doesn’t become of any use and pay u back for even a small compliment u threw his way then he’s of no use and that got me thinking.
fatui scaramouche! with an assistant or a close bodyguard assigned to him by pierro even as he whined and grumbled about being strong and dependable enough by himself.
fatui scaramouche! who reluctantly accepts reader as his right hand helper with a long mutterings of curses under his breath.
fatui scaramouche! who soon got used to your constant presence - someone who’s calm and steady like a mountain unlike his harsh and cruel attitude like the merciless electro delusion he wields.
fatui scaramouche! who soon becomes incredibly possessive over his right hand person reader, constantly wanting to be with them, have their attention on him him and only him!
fatui scaramouche! who soon becomes verbal in his possessive nature. dismissing every reason and excuse you have to be away from him even for a little while. calling you untrustworthy and unreliable due to his past 3 betrayals.
fatui scaramouche! who over time slips into physical abuse. punching you, breaking your nose, cutting away at you with his katana, angry shouting and mental breakdown following after as he has his meltdown on the floor of his office while you put pressure over your newest wound.
fatui scaramouche! who has an absolute meltdown when you said you would be deserting the fatui while holding your casted arm - broken by him during one of your physical fights.
fatui scaramouche! who after trying and failing to become a god realizes just how important you were and how much he actually genuinely cared for you as he’s being treated by the dendro archon.
post fatui wanderer! who after successfully erasing himself from the irmunsul goes to nahida first to ask her of any information about you. he just wants to see how you’re doing and apologize for all that he has done. all the beatings, all the manipulation, all the scars, all the emotional neglect and torment he put on you.
post fatui wanderer! who after recieving news of your whereabouts from nahida, happily rushes there. finally he can see you again!
post fatui wanderer! who knocks on your little cozy hut’s wooden door holding a bouquet of flowers - who allows a relieved smile to slip into his face when you opened the door - alive but with a horrible claw shaped scar over one of your eyes. clearly a work of capitano while you where running away possibly. apologies readily sitting on the tip of his tongue.
post fatui wanderer! who asks you “my assistant! it’s been a while” before he lets out a crushed “…huh?” when you replied “sorry… do i know you?”
post fatui wanderer! who only remembers then and there that he erased his memories as kabukimono and the balladeer from irmunsul completely.
post fatui wanderer! who lets out a defeated sigh, handing you the flowers with tears welling in his eyes - hiding them with the brim of his hat.
post fatui wanderer! who gives you a choked "no. i'm sorry i got the wrong person" and leaves with dragged steps yet a small part of his non-existent heart feeling glad that you're still alive and doing well.
Request/Drabble: RE8- (House Heisenberg) Karl Heisenberg: Ride of your life
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's just a meeting. You'd think that Karl would not fuck around in front of Mother Miranda, but he'll do anything if he knows it will get a reaction out of you.
You're his absolute favorite toy. He didn't make you, but he did fall for you. Regardless, Karl has his eyes set on you at the start of the meeting.
You aren't sure why you even allowed this stupid little bet to go this far, but it had. Your legs are crossed under your dress, but you can feel the pressure welling up already. Karl sits in front of you with the cockiest smile.
The toys come to life ever so slightly with every flick of Karl's wrist. You bite your lip, trying to hold back whatever bubble is growing in your lower stomach and chest.
Mother Miranda is rambling on about testing more subjects. "We need to have more test subjects brought in." "I've got more servants that can be tested on, Mother Miranda." Lady Dimitrescu says. Karls rolls his eyes at the prissy way that Alcina talks. "Heisenberg?" she calls to him, His head rises tall, but his hand moves gracefully, causing more bubbles in my lower stomach.
"I have a few new ideas that could be useful; I'm sure it will work out," Karl says, his voice booming in the old, dilapidated church house Mother Miranda has taken as the meeting house.
Grumbles of frustration come from Alcina, and then a whining doll appears. Muttering about how Donna and her need more flowers or whatever she uses on her lonely mountain top.
"Oh, Heisenberg, aren't you being a bit of a liar," Alcina mutters. A guttling growl comes from your lover, and there is a twist of his wrist as the toy buzzes with life. IF you weren't so damn clouded with feverish lust, you might just have gotten up to stop the fight that was about to begin between the two of them.
"Oh please, like you have any better fucking ideas." Karl implied as his metal hammer hummed to life to his shaking fist. You roll your lips between teeth and hum as the vibration kicks up a notch the angrier Karl gets.
The other lords sit there watching and waiting for the rumble to start; Mother Miranda watches her so-called children fight. You're just living in a buzz of life. "Now Children. I think Heisenberg was just about to tell us how he planned on helping us all." She says with a calm voice.
Yet Alcina isn't calming down, instead she's leaping from her seat. Slinging her words as if she's got her long claws out, ready for the fight of her life. "Mother Miranda, Heisenberg is a child, and his devotion to you is very questionable. Why would you listen to this manthing?" She's not looking at Mother Miranda; instead, her eyes are dull into Karl.
And Karl does love to fight with her. Loves to egg her on, as he is doing right now. He buzzes with life, and the toy is edging you closer to an edge you aren't sure you will be able to walk away from. You slink further into your chair and try to calm your breath as a shock wave of utter bliss runs through your body.
You squeeze your thighs tightly together, but your eyes are stuck on Karl. His hand reaches for his metal hammer, and his voice is loud, booming through the old church. "Shut up, you freaky tall bitch. You're just jealous that Mother Miranda prefers my brilliant ideas over yours. Just a sore bitchy loser." His words are venom, and his anger is fresh, but it only works in your favor.
Your head lulls back, and your legs shake a bit under pressure. You had broken utterly too soon. Little moans fall from your lips, and then everyone looks at you.
"Y/n?" Mother Miranda's voice echoes, pulling the two fighting lords apart. Karls's eyes land on you, and the anger fades into a hungry lust. He had forgotten about the toy and the bet, but he knew now that he had won again.
"I'm… I'm good, Mother Miranda, just tired of these two fighting. I suggest" you clear your throat, untangling your legs and smoothing your dress. "I suggest we see if we can pull some random hikers from the woods. If you're looking for more test subjects, that is." You say with some ease. Alcina has sat back down, and Kalr is still eyeing you, but you won't dare look at him.
She hums with acceptance of this new plan, "I think that is a wonderful idea. You'll be going out the mountains soon, then?" You hum and nod your head, feeling the stickiness of your release all over your thighs. "Then this meeting is finished." With that, she's gone into a few dozen crows, leaving the lords to leave the old church building.
It's not till after the two of you have arrived back at the factory does Kalr take pride that he had made you cum with just a little toy. "Did watching me get all anger edge, you, buttercup?" He says, his accent is thick in your ears. You shake and hum as his hands slide down your sides. "I think I like that." He mutters, "I think we'll have to try more than just that toy the next time we go out." He adds, looking rather smug as you had fallen apart before the rest of the lords. "You did look so pretty, trying to regain your focus. You liked it, didn't you?" He asks smugly.
You take a minute before answering his question with a smile. "Yes, I did." He smiles, lowering his glasses so you can see his beautiful eyes. "Then let's do another bet, buttercup."
warnings: swearing, reader has emetophobia, mentions of sex (mdni)
word count: 4.7k
a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
series masterlist | early access to the next chapter on ko-fi
“Why not?”
“You’re asking me why I can’t admit to wanting to kiss you?”
“Who said I wanted to kiss you?”
He was backtracking, trying to dig himself out of a hole that he’d already buried himself in. He cocked an eyebrow at you, somehow still arrogant in the midst of vulnerability. You called his bluff.
“I’m not stupid.”
He leaned away from you, a fraction of an inch. “I never said you were.”
You refrained from rolling your eyes. “Don’t act like you were testing me, like you had Jisung’s best interest in mind.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean that for an actor you’re surprisingly transparent. No one leans that close to a person’s face for no reason. You were going to kiss me and now you’re trying to play it off like you were just testing me to see if I’d cheat on my boyfriend,” you paused for a beat, wondering if you could turn it around on him. “Because I was testing you, and you failed. Horribly.”
Minho blinked. “You’re fucking with me.”
“Does it look like I’m fucking with you?”
He narrowed his eyes at you. “I can’t tell.”
“Guess you’ll never know.”
“Guess so…” he trailed off, settling back into his own seat.
The moment was gone, dissipated along with the breath you’d been holding. It was like the tight line of tension running between you, inexplicably tying you to each other, had been given an inch of slack. It was still there, buried under layers and layers of repression and guilt, but subdued.
You couldn’t tell if you were relieved or disappointed. You didn’t want to admit to yourself that it was likely a bit of both.
Suddenly the bus lurched around a corner, sending you flying into Minho in an cruel, ironic twist of fate. Your head landed in his lap. As if that wasn’t bad enough, a speed bump caused your head to bounce up and come down back onto his thighs, face planting into his crotch again. You didn’t even want to think about what it looked like to the people across from you. This was not how you envisioned his dick pressing into your cheek would go.
Minho winced, helping you sit up. There was a tiny dark spot on his jeans, damp from where your open mouth had left an imprint on the fabric.
Mortified didn’t even begin to describe what you were feeling.
“Are you ok?” Minho asked, seeming totally unphased by the series of events that had just taken place. He was holding your shoulders like you’d run if he let go. He did a quick scan of your body, looking for marks as if you’d been hit by a car and not simply tossed into another human being.
“Fine, just absolutely humiliated,” you sighed, rubbing your cheek.
“Don’t be.”
“Well too late, I already am. And, uh, sorry about… that.”
Minho followed your gaze to the wet patch on his jeans. “Oh, don’t worry about it. It happens.”
“Does it though?”
He shrugged. “Seemed like the right thing to say.”
You slumped down in your seat, pinching the bridge of your nose. Minho brought his hands to his lap and turned to look out the window.
“Are you okay?” you heard yourself ask just moments later. “I mean,” your eyes flicked down to where his hands were resting on his lap. You thought he might have been holding himself in pain, but then you realized-
“Fine,” he answered through gritted teeth, and that was the end of the conversation.
The next stop was Mt. Fuji’s 5th station, another lookout- this time on the mountain, that provided an even better view. You felt a little dumb for taking all of those pictures at the first stop but then remembered what Jisung had said about sending him lots of photos and relaxed a little.
This stop also served as the lunch break. Meals were provided to guests that had added the option on their tickets. The Hans had elected not to spring for the included meal, leaving you and Minho to fend for yourselves. They invited you to join them at a noodle shop inside the station, but you declined, opting to use the time to explore and find something on your own.
More time alone, you thought to yourself. Great idea. The day wasn’t even half over and you’d already had a close call. Too close of a call. Was it really that hard to control yourself around your best friend’s brother? What was wrong with you? Maybe it’d be easier if he wasn’t such a fucking tease. Regardless, you needed to have a little more self-restraint.
The break period was only about an hour long and then you’d be driving to the next stop so you had to be quick.
You walked with Minho through the narrow passageways, nearly breaking into a jog to keep up with him. There were only three or four restaurants in the surrounding area, narrowing your selection down by a lot.
“Looks like our choices are kind of similar,” Minho said as he scanned the menu on the wall of the third restaurant you’d stopped in front of.
“Here seems as good of a place as any.”
It was relatively busy inside, but you and Minho were able to find a little corner table out of the way. You figured these places must make a fortune, seeing as there was so little competition and dozens of buses full of hungry tourists came through each day.
The exterior of the building was painted black, as were the walls inside to absorb heat. There were floor-to-ceiling windows on either side of the dining room, showing off the breathtaking view of the mountain range in the near distance.
“What sounds good to you?” Minho asked, leaning over the table to see your menu even though he had one right in front of him.
“Seems like everyone’s ordering soup,” you mumbled and nodded to the tables closest to you to prove your point. “I guess that does sound kind of good, especially because it’s so cold up here.”
“We could order a couple different kinds and share?” he suggested.
“Yeah, okay,” you agreed nervously.
You might as well share soup with your best friend’s brother that you almost kissed just an hour prior. Yeah, makes perfect sense.
Minho ordered for both of you when the server noticed you were ready. You watched him effortlessly make conversation with the waiter, cracking jokes like he’d known the man his entire life, and it made you think of Jisung. Jisung who always ordered for you, Jisung who counted the dishes he ordered on his fingers to keep track of them, Jisung who made friends in every situation he found himself in.
“What?” Minho asked, yanking you from your thoughts.
You hadn’t even realized you’d been staring.
“Nothing, sorry.”
“You okay? You didn’t hit your head earlier, did you?”
“I’m fine,” you insisted, rolling your eyes. “Thanks for ordering for me.”
“Oh, you’re welcome. I noticed Jisung always orders for you so I just assumed you might’ve had some anxiety when it comes to that.”
“I do, yeah.” you admitted. “But it’s just something he’s always done for me, even before we started dating.”
The word dating seemed to snap Minho back to reality and he leaned away from you, straightening his posture and seeming to take great interest in the napkin in front of him.
“That’s sweet,” he muttered, sounding completely unconvinced.
“He can be when he wants to be. Shocking, I know.”
After lunch you took a walk around the lookout together, pointing out different signs with Japanese characters and trying to guess what they meant. Minho had paid for both of your meals, unsurprisingly, and you hadn’t even put up a fight. You already knew he wouldn’t let you pay for your own if you tried, slapping his card down on top of the bill before the server had even left the table.
You were listening to Minho talk about why he thought a sign by the bus stop said ‘no baseballs’ when you felt your phone buzz in your back pocket. Minho had given it to you on the bus so you could listen to music on the ride up the mountain and you just hadn’t remembered to give it back to keep in his bag.
It was a text from Jisung. Minho stopped talking as soon as he noticed you weren’t paying attention to him anymore.
How is everything? Haven’t heard from you all morning! Send a pic of you and Minho when you can :)
“Ji wants us to send a picture.”
“Of what?”
“Of us.”
“Us? Like, both of us?” Minho asked, looking as confused as you felt.
You shrugged. “I guess he wants to make sure we haven’t killed each other yet.”
He nodded in understanding. “Proof of life photo, got it.”
“Where should we-” you paused, looking around for the best place to snap a selfie.
“Well we should get the mountains in the background, right?”
“Yeah, good idea. Let’s go over there.” You pointed in the direction of a cluster of benches gathered at the ledge of the mountain where people were taking pictures with their families.
The section was fenced off to prevent guests from falling off the face of the cliff, but that wasn’t stopping kids from climbing the railings or couples sitting on top of them. You settled for simply leaning against it, not trusting yourself enough to balance your weight on top of it.
“Here, you have longer arms,” you said, offering your phone to Minho.
He took it without argument and extended his arm so that both of you were in the frame. You’d forgotten that he was a practiced expert at taking selfies. You wondered how many phone cameras he knew how to use just from snapping pictures with fans at every event he attended.
You weren’t sure how close to stand to him, or what to do with your hands. You leaned towards him, not touching, and smiled awkwardly. You weren’t doing anything wrong at that very moment, so why did you feel so guilty? Minho snapped a couple photos and was about to hand the phone back when you were interrupted.
“Do you want me to take a photo of you?” a woman with a thick German accent asked. “You know, couple? I take photo for you, and you take photo of me with my family?”
You were about to politely decline, correct her, and just offer to take the picture of her family, but Minho was already handing the phone over. You were going to kill him.
Minho slung his arm around your shoulders like it was the most normal thing in the world and you forced yourself to wrap yours around his waist, resting your head on his chest as you bit the inside of your cheek. You could hear his heartbeat if you listened closely. It was steady, rhythmic. Not at all panicked or rushed like you were sure your own was. You faked a smile and waited until the camera stopped clicking before letting yourself breathe again.
Minho thanked the woman and traded places with her, taking a few pictures of her with her family while you paced anxiously in the background. You checked the time on your phone, wondering if it was time to go yet when you realized you still needed to text Jisung back.
You scrolled through your gallery, selecting all the pictures the nice lady had taken of you and Minho. Your finger hovered over the delete button, yet you couldn’t bring yourself to press it. You hit cancel, sighing in defeat.
You opened your messages again and stared at the blinking cursor. You flipped through the options on your camera roll, unsure of what to do. At the very least, you knew you couldn’t send one of the pictures the woman had taken to Jisung. He probably wouldn’t even question it, the pose was normal enough for friends, but then again what if he did? You couldn’t risk it.
You chose one of the selfies Minho had taken and hit send, promptly locking your phone as soon as you saw it was delivered.
“We have to get back on the bus.”
You looked at the time on your phone and then back at Minho, squinting in confusion. “We still have a couple minutes before we’re supposed to leave.”
“No, that woman’s son started talking about K-pop when I was taking their picture.” You glanced over your shoulder and saw the family huddled together, all indiscreetly staring at you and Minho.
“Don’t look!” he hissed. “Come on.”
He tugged you by the arm until your feet caught up with you and you were able to walk in step with him.
“They recognized you?”
“The little boy did. I don’t know if the others believed him.” You were tempted to look back, but you knew you’d probably be yelled at again. As if Minho could read your thoughts, he wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. “Keep your head down.”
“I don’t get it, doesn’t this happen to you all the time?” you asked. “What’s the big deal?”
“It doesn’t happen to me all the time, and when it does it’s usually not a big deal,” he explained as he ushered you up the steps of the coach. You shuffled your way to your seats, nodding in acknowledgment at his parents as you passed them. You got to the row first so you took the window seat. It was easier than having to shuffle around. “I don’t mind taking pictures with fans or signing things for them most of the time. It can get annoying, but I try to remember that I’m incredibly lucky to be in the position I’m in in the first place. And I’m just like them when it comes to football players and golfers, anyway.” You chuckled. “I’m serious! I stumble over my words when I meet them, and my hands are shaky when I ask them for an autograph- I’m a fucking mess. But we already had one close call this week with someone seeing you alone with me. Twice is asking for it.”
“Asking for what?”
“Rumors, articles, blog posts- I don’t even want to think about it.”
“I don’t think that little boy is going to start any rumors about us,” you said.
“You don’t understand.” Minho was serious, something you weren’t used to seeing from him. “It’s not that simple. Someone from that family posts a picture on Instagram, they tag me and they see you standing next to me. My fans… can be really invested in my personal life. And they’ll want to know who you are because they think we might be dating. That’s why I told you to keep your head down so they wouldn’t be able to see your face.”
“But guys and girls can be friends,” you reasoned.
“It’s the internet, y/n. No one cares. I’m seen alone with a woman and suddenly everyone wants to know everything about her from her high school GPA to who her mother voted for in the last presidential election.”
Oh. Ok, maybe Minho was right and this was a bit serious. Your social media wasn’t the worst there was out there, but it certainly wasn’t the cleanest per se… you had a whole story highlight dedicated to you and Jisung competing to see who could down a shot the fastest. Yeah, you were those people at parties. And even though you lost most of the time, you could already imagine the things people would say about it.
“I didn’t realize you were so popular,” was all you could say.
Minho chuckled bitterly. “I try not to advertise it.”
“I can see why.”
“It’d be hell for you to be associated with me.”
“I kind of already am,” you pointed out. Minho gave you a blank look as if he didn’t know what you meant. “Through your brother.”
“Right, Jisung.” Minho sighed, leaning back in his seat. “I don’t know what he’d do to me if you got tangled up in all this bullshit.”
“You’re always saying shit like that. Jisung is pretty harmless, you know.”
Minho shook his head in disagreement. “You only think that because you’re wearing rose-colored glasses when it comes to him.”
“That’s not true!”
“Oh, come on, yes it is.”
“We were friends for years before we started dating! I haven’t always seen him romantically.”
“Still, you haven’t known him as long as I have.”
“Well you have on… whatever the opposite of rose-colored glasses when it comes to him because you’re related to him!” you argued. “He can barely hold me on top of him- don’t ask how I know that.” Minho pursed his lips, suppressing a smirk. He’d clearly been about to ask. “I’m just saying I think you could take him.”
“I’m flattered, but I think you’re forgetting how protective he can be,” he protested. “Has he never gotten jealous?” Minho pressed, his body rocking slightly as the bus began to move. He stabilized himself against the seat in front of him, looking at you expectantly. “He’s never been possessive of you?”
You bit your bottom lip, trying to decipher whether or not this was a test. Did Minho suspect anything? Was he just being nosy or did he think there was something you were lying about. Was he trying to get dirt on his brother, prove to you that he’s not a good boyfriend? You weren’t sure what to think. You scrambled for something, running through your memories as you tried to piece together a story with fragments of half-truths.
“There were a couple of times…” you admitted, trying to even your breathing to sound more natural. “Like this one time, we were at a bar and this guy was trying to buy me a drink while he was in the bathroom and when he came back he just kinda came up to us and wrapped an arm around my waist and the dude fucked off.”
What had actually happened, was a guy tried to buy you a drink while Jisung was in the bathroom and you agreed, asking him to buy one for your friend Ji too. You let the dude assume it was short for Jisoo or whatever and entertained him while the bartender mixed the cocktails. As soon as you saw Jisung emerge from the bathroom you took both the drinks and ditched the man the second his back was turned. You presented your best friend with one of the drinks and toasted the man who bought them for you, clinking your glasses together in celebration. After you downed them, Jisung pulled you onto the dance floor with him, telling you to follow his lead. He made sure the stranger was watching and then kissed you hard right in front of him. You took it a step further, slipping your tongue into your best friend’s mouth and cupping his face between your hands. When you came up for air the man was walking out the door with a scowl on his face.
“Another time before we started dating he dropped me off on a date with another person, and wouldn’t even let me walk into the restaurant when he saw the guy through the window.”
That was true, but the real reason he didn’t let you go into the restaurant was because he knew the guy from one of his classes and had overheard him talking about how bi girls are freakier in bed which is why he actively sought them out.
“So I guess you’re right, he’s always been protective of me, even when we were just friends. But I don’t think he’d hurt anyone. He might say something brutal, but he wouldn’t swing at you unless he’s defending himself.”
“Well, I don’t want to take any chances.”
You thought Minho would be satisfied with your answers, but you couldn’t tell from the expression on his face.
You sat in silence for the rest of the bus ride to the next stop. There was that tension again. You curled into yourself, bringing your knees to your chest and pressing yourself against the window as you pulled your phone out of your pocket to text Jisung back.
J: dorks ;) looks like you’re having fun. love you!
Y: it’s ok i guess… would be better if you were here
J: that’s because everything’s better when i’m there
Y: nvm i take it back
J: rude
Y: how are you feeling??
J: just ok :/ mum sent lix and i some soup, but i couldn’t keep it down
J: sorry, i shouldn’t have said that part
Y: it’s ok
J: no it’s not- i know how you feel about that stuff
Y: ji, i promise it’s fine.
J: if you say so…
Y: i do
Y: btw… minho was asking if you’re ever get jealous
J: why
Y: idk it was weird- i told him about that time at the club near campus
You hoped he remembered which time you were talking about. You flirted with a lot of people for free booze.
J: i remember that night
Oh, so he did remember. Or he was bluffing just in case Minho was reading over your shoulder. You checked discreetly, sneaking a glance over at his brother. But Minho was scrolling through Twitter, completely in his own world.
J: did you tell him about what i did to you when we left >:)
Y: he’s not reading these, dumbass. you don’t have to do all that
J: i was referring to spilling my slushie down the front of your dress idk what you’re talking about
Y: i can’t stand you
“Hey, y/n.” You jumped at the sound of Minho’s voice, clutching your phone to your chest protectively. “Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you. It’s just, we’re here.”
You hadn’t even realized the bus had stopped, but passengers were already getting off, eager to see the mountain from yet another view. Minho slid out of the row and stepped back to let you off in front of him.
“Where are your parents?” you wondered aloud as you passed their empty row.
“Guess they ditched us again,” Minho sighed. “Really loving this family trip. Not that hanging out with you isn’t cool and all,” he amended.
“It’s fine, I get it,” you assured him. “Except I’m going to take it very personally and give you the silent treatment for the rest of the day.”
He shook his head but laughed. You followed the rest of the tourists in your group who were getting into a fast-moving line and joined them at the end. You and Minho had been the last two on the bus so there wasn’t anyone else behind you.
You weren’t even sure what you were in line for, hell, you didn’t even know where you were, but men in beige coveralls were ushering the queue forward impatiently. They gave directions mostly through hand signals, pointing, thumbs up, thumbs down, probably so guests from all around the world could easily understand them.
Before you could even understand what was happening you were enclosed in a cable car that was ascending God knows how high with Minho and one other couple. They looked to be in their seventies, and were speaking Vietnamese to each other, completely oblivious to the seven stages of grief you were going through on the other side of the car.
“Minho” you whispered.
“I know,” he murmured back. He looked quite pale himself, but you knew it likely had more to do with being concerned about you than anything else. He hurriedly glanced around the tiny cabin as if there might be something in there that could help you.
“Minho,” you repeated, this time with more urgency.
“I-I” he paused, “I’m so sorry, I didn’t know this was part of the tour. I didn’t mean for- if I had known I would’ve suggested we stay back.”
“I feel sick,” you mumbled.
“Let’s sit down.”
Minho tried to cross the car over to you, but his movement caused the gondola to shake. You barely managed to muffle a scream of terror with your fist. The car swung violently on the wire and you suddenly wondered how up to code these cable cars were. When was the last time they had been inspected? How old were they in the first place?
If you looked closely you could see rust corroding some of the bolts and paint chipping from the benches. It took everything in you not to collapse to the floor and assume fetal position.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” Minho apologized. “I’m going to move again, okay?”
“No, please don’t!” you begged.
“I have to! I have to move to get over to you. It’ll just be one more time, I promise.”
You nodded, even though you were dreading it and screwed your eyes shut, bracing yourself for the rocking. The jolt was bigger than you expected and for a moment you thought the cable had snapped and you were plummeting towards the ground, but when you opened your eyes you were still moving steadily upward and Minho was by your side.
“Why did you jump!” you cried. “We could’ve died!”
God bless him for his patience. He wasn’t even phased by your accusations, instead he just took you by the hands and eased you onto the bench behind you, sitting next to you a moment later.
“I’m sorry.”
“No, I’m sorry,” you groaned, wiping your sweaty palms on your hands.
“Nothing to be sorry for.”
“That’s not true, I yelled at you.”
“I’ve had worse, trust me.”
He was trying to make you laugh, but you were still terrified out of your mind. Your whole body was trembling and your stomach was twisting with nausea. You were trying not to look down, but the whole cabin was made of glass. It was impossible not to look, and closing your eyes only made you feel sicker.
“Want to hold my hand like last time?” Minho offered.
You were quick to accept, grabbing his hand as soon as it was outstretched.
“I’m sorry my palms are clammy.”
“Mine are too, it’s okay,” he assured you, even though they were completely dry.
You squeezed his hand hard, just like you had on the rollercoaster. But it wasn’t making you feel any better.
“Minho, I’m scared.”
“I know, y/n. It’s okay though. You’re safe with me. I’ve got you, I promise. I won’t let anything bad happen to you.”
“How can you say that?” you whined, eyes darting around to all of the windows. “You can’t control whether or not we fall out of the sky!”
You suddenly felt horribly guilty for the other couple trapped in the cable car with you. They were probably just trying to enjoy their vacation and there you were having a mental breakdown thousands of feet in the air with nowhere for them to escape to.
Minho laughed despite himself and used his free hand to grab your face, turning your attention to him.
“Hey, look at me, okay? Don’t look out the windows. Just focus on me.”
“Okay,” you gulped.
You focused on his face. On the way his soft features hardened around the edges. His sharp jawline and perfect nose, easing into the light blush of his cheeks and warm, brown eyes. The dichotomy was striking, and the late afternoon sun that was shining in through the dirty glass made him look angelic. The way the light cast a golden halo around his curls was enough to draw anyone and you found yourself leaning closer and closer to his face.
You were the one to kiss him this time, but he more than reciprocated. The moment your lips touched he was tangling a hand in your hair, groaning softly against your mouth. His lips were just as warm and soft as you remembered, but the kiss was a million times more damning. You were both completely sober, even if you’d been consumed by terror moments earlier. You knew what you were doing. You both did. And you had the first time, but now there was no excuse.
You pulled away a moment later. “I-I’m sorry. I just had to see…”
Minho brought a hand up to your face and you flinched, but all he did was run a thumb across your cheek, collecting a stray tear on his fingertip. You hadn’t even noticed you’d started crying, and whether it was from fear or guilt you couldn’t be sure.
lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!
For the BINGO, can I please request the Free use Space with Ethan Landry and prompt #12 ?
Please ignore this if I am wrong, but in case the free use space means we can pick an idea to go with the prompt: would it be alright if you made something of a continuation of your High School Sweethearts post with Ethan? It was so sweet and cute and really interesting! I always wondered how Ethan would turn out if he had someone who truly loved him from the beginning. Also the way you wrote Ethan in that as a soft dom was insanely hot! You really are a terrific writer.
But if the space and/or prompt is already taken, please ignore this. Thank you and have a great day!!!
“You both ready?”
Ethan paused from packing your bags into the trunk of the truck your father was loaning him for the drive, a four hour road trip certainly an amazing test for your relationship. “Yes! I’m so ready!”
Tumblr media
Ethan smiled at your voice, nodding. “Yes sir, I’m ready.”
“Good,” your father gives him the keys, raising a brow. “Take care of my girl. Don’t bring her back pregnant.”
Ethan offered a sheepish smile, laughing slightly. Even though you were on birth control and he often wore condoms, there was always a chance. “I won’t.”
Your dad raises an eyebrow, tilting his head. “Why was that so hesitant?”
“I-I uhm-”
“Bye daddy,” you interject quickly, giggling as you kiss his cheek. “I already said bye to everyone, so I’m going to go before you change your mind! I love you!”
You dragged Ethan into the driver's seat, quickly going around and getting in the passengers. Ethan quickly starts the truck, sighing as he stares at the texts from his dad and Quinn. Richie was just… killed, and though he cared he wouldn’t let it ruin this vacation with you.
“E?” You whisper, softly patting his hand. “Are you sure you are okay with this?”
He squeezed your hand, shaking his head with a soft kiss to your temple. “I’m fine, precious, perfectly fine.”
You hummed as he quickly pulled out of your driveway, already putting on the playlist you made for the two of you. Keeping your hand in his, you leaned on his shoulder in the one cabin truck, an old 1989 Chevy that your family had kept running for two generations. You loved this truck almost as much as you loved Ethan, smiling as you leaned on his shoulder, thankful for the fact that you had persuaded your dad to install an up to date stereo that had Bluetooth.
“When we get there, we just have to unpack and we can have the rest of the day free. I was thinking later this week we can go hiking, what do you think?”
He looked over at you, smiling slightly. “Whatever you want to do.”
You pout, rolling your eyes. “If I wanted someone to just agree with everything I say, I would’ve brought someone else.”
He laughed slightly, shaking his head. “I’m sorry… I just,” he sighed, shaking his head. “I just want you to be happy. I’ll do whatever you want to make sure you stay happy.”
You paused, looking up at him, the way his eyes focused on the road and his brows were slightly furrowed made it obvious that he was thinking about something else. “No matter what happens, I’ll always be happy if I’m with you. No matter if we argue or fight, I’ll always be happy.”
He inhaled, eyes flickering from you to the road before he got to a light and leaned down to give you a firm kiss. “I like hiking, but as soon as we get there, I think I’d rather just… stay in with you.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “Yeah, because you want to bang.”
“I so want to bang.” Ethan was tired of renting hotel rooms because he didn’t want to disrespect your parents house, and this didn’t really count — or that’s what he kept telling himself.
His words make you laugh as you lean on his shoulder, humming softly as you start to close your eyes. “When we get there, we have to get ice cream first. They have the best ice cream ever.”
He laughs slightly, nodding as he pressed a soft kiss to your temple. “Go to sleep, precious. I’ll wake you up when we get there.”
You hummed, nodding. “You sure?”
“I’m sure, precious. Just… get some sleep.”
He smiled as you quickly took advantage of it, falling asleep on his shoulder as his phone started to ring. He quickly grabbed it before seeing Quinn’s name blare, sighing softly before declining it. He wasn’t going to risk you hearing anything, or her ruining your vacation.
It was this road trip that Ethan decided you needed to stay awake if you both ever drove anywhere else. He so took a wrong turn somewhere, but his phone didn’t have any service and he didn’t want to wake you up. So, pulling into a gas station, he tried to turn on and off his WiFi before someone knocked on his window.
It makes him jump, cursing as you slowly wake up and he starts to roll down the window by twisting the knob.
The man pauses, his slightly gray beard catching Ethan’s eyes before you gasp. “Ethan, you got us here! Hi Uncle Luke!”
“I knew I recognized you! Hey kid!” The man laughed. “This that boyfriend your dads been telling me about?”
“Yes! This is Ethan, Ethan, this is Uncle Luke, he’s my dads best friend. He builds custom homes for people who want properties in the mountains.” You say, smiling as Ethan cleared his throat and quickly got out to be respectful.
He offered his hand, smiling. “Nice to meet you, sir.”
“Oh, a handshake, I like him already.” Luke took his hand, shaking firmly with a laugh. “Got a nice handshake, too! If you’re ever interested, kid, you got a job with me, as long as you don’t hurt my niece.”
Ethan laughed, nodding. “I would never even think of hurting her.”
“Yeah, Uncle Luke, he couldn’t even if he tried to,” you giggled, nodding. “But I think it would be good if E worked with you. He’s got some good hands.”
Ethan blushed madly, quickly pulling his hand from Luke’s grasp with a sheepish laugh. “Y-Yeah, I-I’m pretty good at like uhm, building things and stuff.”
“Oh yeah? How long are you guys here?” Luke asked, tilting his head at Ethan.
“We’re going to be here for about a month. Ethan lost his brother but he got accepted into college, so it’s my little surprise getaway for him,” you say, getting out of the car and tucking yourself under his arm. “What’d you have in mind, Uncle Luke? Besides game nights and dinner.”
“Well, maybe Ethan can come to work with me one day. See how he likes it, and I’ll start him off at thirty dollars an hour if he stays.” You knew Uncle Luke didn’t think either of you would stay, but the option did appeal to Ethan.
You giggled, nodding. “You like that idea, E? Maybe later on after you graduate, we’ll come live here. I’ll work medical billing and coding from home and you’ll work with Uncle Luke.”
Oh, he liked that idea more than you knew.
“Well, I’ll be off, Y/N, you have Lori’s number to set everything up, I’ll see you both soon!” Luke walked off as you giggled, leaning up to press a soft kiss to his cheek.
“Let’s go into town, E. We’ll stop and get some ice cream, then we go home and unpack. Sounds good?” You suggested making Ethan nod, smiling.
“Yeah, for sure, precious.”
You both quickly got back into the truck, you gladly telling Ethan to keep going straight and that you both would get to town soon. Ethan loved it when you snuggled up right next to him, softly brushing your fingers up and down his inner thigh as you kissed his neck.
“And you said I wanted to bang.”
You laugh, shaking your head. “I always want to bang. It’s a consequence of having a boyfriend that looks like you. Oh, park there! In front of the shop.”
He laughs, shaking his head as he quickly parked and you tugged him off the truck. “Let’s get ice cream and sandwiches so I don’t have to make dinner. Sounds good?”
“Very good,” Ethan agreed, smiling. “So, what do I do?”
“Let’s go order the sandwiches first because it might take a minute, then we’ll get the ice cream and eat it while we wait. Sounds good?” You offer, Ethan nodding with his smile growing bigger as you dragged him to the back of the store.
A nice man greets the two of you, cracking jokes and laughing as he took your orders. “Alright! I’ll have these done in about fifteen minutes. How long are you guys staying in town for?”
You’re about to answer before Ethan quickly interjects. “About a month, but I’m liking it here so far, so we’re planning to talk about moving.”
He laughed, shaking his head. “Oh yeah? If it’s just the two of you and no baby any time soon, there’s a nice house out on the edge of town. It’s a bit of a fixer upper, but nothing too major. Probably the cheapest thing you’ll find in town, though, because everything else is pretty big. Unless, of course, you’re like those people who want to stay outside of town in the mountains if you got the money.”
You laughed, nodding. “Yes sir, my family owns the cabin on King’s Peak. If uhm… if we move up here, we’ll probably live there,” you glance at Ethan, humming. “No baby anytime soon.”
“Oh, nice! Well, I’ll get started on these sandwiches, come back in about fifteen minutes.” He walked off as you slowly dragged Ethan down the aisles, tilting your head.
“What was that?” You asked him, crossing your arms. “You’ve been here not even an hour, and you want to move here?”
Ethan sighed as he held your hips, shaking his head. “Come on, precious… you’re always talking about this place, always talking about how much you wished you lived here. It’s not like anything’s keeping me in Woodsboro, come on, what you said earlier sounded perfect.”
You swallowed, shaking your head. “What about Quinn and your dad? Th-They-”
Ethan sighed, shaking his head. “I don’t want anything to do with them,” he says, shaking his head. This new plan they were deriving had to do with you, killing you. He couldn’t let that happen, he had worked too hard to get you to notice him and fall in love with him, he couldn’t lose you. “Please… please, I don’t want to go back.”
You inhaled, slowly holding his face with a hum. “This isn’t like the movies, E. We’ve never lived together before, what if-”
“This is our trial period,” he whispers back, shaking his head. “I love you too much to fuck anything up. I won’t.”
“I know you won’t,” you smiled, nodding. “Okay. Let’s see how this month goes, then I’ll talk to daddy about buying the cabin.”
He looked at you confused, his head tilted. “What do you mean?”
“Trust fund baby,” you giggle, shaking your head. “You just worry about sitting back and looking pretty.”
He laughed, shaking his head before you dragged him to the cashier, paying for two double scooped cones, proceeding to drag him to the ice cream part of the shop. He smiled as you quickly ordered a double scoop in a cone, Ethan ordering the same as you quickly licked the side. You both moved toward the tables, your foot settled in his lap under the table as he held your ankle.
“Best ice cream ever, right?” You giggled, shaking your head. “I will never get tired of this ice cream. One time, we were here for a week, got it every day.”
He laughed, rubbing your calf. “I’m looking forward to eating ice cream every day this month.”
You giggle again, humming with a nod before the bell dings. “Oh! Sandwiches are ready.”
After grabbing and paying for your sandwiches and finishing your ice cream, quickly going back into the truck and driving to your cabin. It doesn’t take long, but you both do have to leave the main part of town to get there, easily going up the mountain until you lead him to a perfectly picturesque cabin.
“Here we are!” You giggle as you got off, dragging him in.
He didn’t even worry about the bags as you started putting the sandwiches in the fridge, kissing against the back of your neck before you bent down, laughing. “Ethan!”
“Didn’t you say you wanted to bang, precious?” He whispers as you stand back up, easily turning you around as you giggled. “Let’s bang.”
“Goodness, when we say bang, it makes me feel like eighty. Come on,” you whisper between kisses, Ethan’s hands holding your hips as you start to walk backwards. Ethan’s heart was beating out of his chest as you started to walk backwards up the stairs, everytime you missed a step, you giggled as he stabilized you and helped you find the next step. “I don’t think living here with you would be that bad.”
“That bad?” Ethan laughed as he tucked his head under your jaw when you both get to the second floor, kissing against your neck as he moved your hair to the side. “If we move here, I’ll make you breakfast in bed daily and then fuck you every night until we pass out.”
You laugh as his teeth graze your skin, your hand quickly searching for the doorknob of your room. “That’s the best idea you’ve had since you said we should move here.”
You gasp as he easily picks you up, opening the door and tossing you onto the bed before taking off his shirt. It was truly amazing how much urgency he had, and where it came from you had no clue, but you weren’t opposed to it as he threw his phone onto the bed. It makes you giggle when he almost tripped onto the bed, slipping off your shirt and sweatpants after kicking off your shoes and socks.
He smiled as he quickly crawled over your body, leaning down to steal soft kisses from you. “You didn’t see that, right?”
You giggled, shaking your head as you pulled him lower, gasping as his fingers trailed over your stomach. “No, I’m blind.”
He laughed against your lips as his hands trailed over your thighs, one of them already sliding up and down your slit as you inhaled sharply. “Yeah, sure you are,” he laughed, shaking his head. “Goodness, precious, want you to ride me. Want to see my precious girl bouncing on my cock.”
You groaned as he ducked his head once again, his fingers spreading your wetness up and down your slit. “E-Ethan, condom?”
“Fuck,” he cursed, pulling back to lick his fingers making you blush madly. “They’re in my bag. I’ll go get ‘em-”
“No!” You say, quickly sitting up. “No, don’t worry about it. We’ll just… go raw. Not the first time, besides, you can drive an hour to get me plan b tomorrow morning before breakfast in bed.”
He laughed, nodding as he leaned forward to kiss you, a hum falling from your lips as you ran your fingers through his hair and pulled him closer. He doesn’t break the kiss as you situate yourself in his lap, lifting your hips just a bit as his fingers easily slide into you, how wet you were working in his favor. You groaned out against his lips, holding his head as his cock rubbed against your clit, your hips rolling to feel his head rub perfectly against your sensitive bud.
Ethan pulled away and kissed your neck as you tilted your head to the side, looking down at his cock rubbing against your clit. You pushed your hand in between you both, grasping his pretty cock and watching precum dribble out of his tip, a perfect picturesque view before your thumb swiped it away onto your clit.
He groaned at your touch, pumping him all while you grinded against his tip and his fingers thrust into your cunt easily. Your cunt fluttered around his fingers, each nimble digit perfect and rubbing against every sensitive spot you had before you groaned against his neck. His teeth grazed your shoulder, tongue trailing your skin before he started sucking another hickey against your skin.
“F-Fuck, Ethan,” you gasped, groaning as you rode his nimble digits, the pads of his fingers brushing against your g-spot before he starts to flex them inside of you, grazing that perfect spot all over again. “Th-There!”
He laughed as your hips stuttered, your grip on his cock finally letting go as your hands moved to his shoulders to stabilize yourself. Your hips continue to rut into his fingers, groaning as your hips stutter before his fingers pull out of you. You stared at the shining essence on his fingers, your essence that he gladly pushed into his mouth and sucked off.
“There you go precious, now you’re all stretched out… and now you can ride me until you can’t feel your legs.”
Oh, it must’ve been a promise, the way Ethan helped you stay sitting up by holding your hips. Your thighs were already covered in mixed cum as you tried to balance yourself on top of him, lifting your hips slightly to continue bouncing on his cock. “E-Ethan, I don’t know if I can keep going-”
“Oh, precious, come on,” he urges you on, shaking his head, laughing as he rolls his hips into you. Your nails dig into his chest, a whimper falling from your mouth as he holds your hips. “You can keep going. I know you’re strong enough, precious, I love you bouncing on my cock, don’t you?”
You whimpered as he helped you lift yourself fup, stabilizing yourself again before continuing to bounce on his cock, letting your head fall back. Your inner thighs were read and sore from when he helped you earlier on, thrusting up into you and digging his nails into your plush love handles and helping you move up and down his cock.
This time was no different, besides his hands being more gentle as you continued bouncing on his cock, switching between the hopping movements and rolling your hips. You groaned loudly as you settled on his hips, rolling your own desperately into his, the angle unable to get his cock fully inside of you. “E-Ethan, it’s not enough, it’s not enough!”
He smiled up at you, laughing slightly as your eyes started to water. “Ethan, don’t be mean! Y-You’re not fully inside of me, need you to be all the way inside of me t-to get that part-”
“You want my help, precious?” He tilted his head, teasing you. “My precious girl needs my help to get off, doesn’t she? Because if my cock isn’t all the way inside of her she can’t cum.”
You whined loudly as you nodded your head, sobbing. You were so desperate for his cock, desperately nodding as he lifted his hips slightly and finally hit that spot inside of you. “F-Fuck, yes! Yes, right there! Oh, fuck! Fuck fuck fuck fuck…”
You babbled mindlessly, eyes rolling back as you flew forward, finally letting Ethan use his entire strength to thrust up into you. He grunted into your neck as you moaned loudly, your vision blurring as your nails dig into his skin, hips desperately trying to match his pace, not trusting your voice to say anything else but words filled with lust.
“Am I making you feel good, my precious girl? Yeah? C’mon, tell me, need to hear your voice,” he said, and you could practically hear his smirk. “You’ll get there baby, take your time.”
You felt so fucked out, groaning as you nodded into his neck. “Y-You make me feel so good, Ethan, don’t stop!”
He laughs, shaking his head. “You think I could stop? When your pretty cunt is barely letting me pull out, clamping down on my shaft like a desperate little whore?”
You whined as he continued to thrust into you, using your body like a fleshlight as you shake your head into his neck. “N-No, no! I don’t think you can stop, I don’t want you to stop, I never want you to stop! Love feeling your cock inside of me, I love it so much, need it every day for the rest of my life!”
Your words make his hips stutter, eyes rolling back as you moaned into his ear like you knew he loved. His hips stutter as he groaned out, finally cumming inside of you as he panted underneath you. He doesn’t pull out as you hummed, pulling your face out of his neck as you pulled him in for a firm kiss.
“Sex here everyday sounds nice.”
“So nice,” he said, laughing as he shook his head. “I’m going to help you buy this house, I swear it. Then I’m going to give you the best life ever.”
“You already have,” you whisper back, nodding as you slowly laid on his chest and he reached down to grab his phone. He waits until you fall asleep before unlocking it, hesitantly letting his finger hover over the block button on Quinn’s phone number.Looking down at you though, there was nothing to be hesitant about. He blocked his sister, then his father, tossing his phone to the side and softly kissing your head. You don’t wake up as he whispers soft praises of ‘I love you’s and other words, but he doesn’t need you to wake up for you to know.
I've already written about how last Twilight pissed me off, but there's something else that annoys me - it's the way Mhok feel expendable for Day and his family. You see, I remembered a certain video I've seen somewhere and scene from the series, after watching the last episode of Last Twilight.
In the first video, a guy says that women should fix their men, stick with them when they can't cope with their traumas, and generally that they should be their "therapists, coaches" and not leave men alone with their problems. Supposedly a "positive" video, right? And under his video there were a lot of women's comments who wrote that they did exactly that, that they "improved and fixed" the men who, when they decided that they were already "fixed", they broke up these women and started new relationships as the "new, improved men". There were a lot of these voices.
The second was a scene from some series (with my memory of a goldfish, I can't remember which one, maybe Elite?), where a poor boy gets involved in the bunch of rich people and someone warns him that nothing good will come of it, to not trust them, that the rich people will take advantage of him and they will throw him away when they no longer need him or get bored with him.
And I really thought about it immediately after watching the finale of the last episode of Last Twilight and the trailer of the next one. Because that's literally what happened: Mhok "fixed" rich boy Day and got fired. I still have an image of Mhok in my head, with a blindfold trying to understand Day. I remember Mhok taking care of Day, all his small but important gestures, when he protects him from bumping into things and tripping. Mhok fixed all of Day's broken relationships. ALL OF THEM. He has done so much for Day that I don't even know where to start, the whole series is about Mhok doing everything for Day. THE WHOLE SERIES IS ABOUT THIS. About slippers, running shoes, quitting smoking, trips, various activities, literally climbing mountains for him. And the series showed Day and his wealthy family literally getting rid of Mhok under a really stupid pretext, when Day is already set for the future, for success - thanks to him. Nobody says stop, wait a minute, it's too harsh, let's talk, let's give Mhok a chance to explain himself (and Mhok WANTS to explain himself). But when he tries to talk about HIMSELF for once, his problems and traumas, he is simply thrown out the door. Everything Mhok has done for Day, for this family, all his sacrifices are completely ignored and dismissed. He's not worthy of their time to expalin, to talk. Not worthy to give a fucking chance which he deserves simply for what he's done for them.
What further irritates me is that Mhok is constantly perceived by them as someone who is FOR DAY. Day's mother tests him, checks him, evaluates him only in terms of whether Mhok is taking care of Day properly. Day kicks Mhok out for what he considers to be the wrong kind of care Mhok provides for him. Mhok does not exist as Mhok. Mhok exists as Day's carer, boyfriend, and must live up to the high expectations of Day and his family, with no room for the slightest mistake. And being thrown out the door for not meeting this super high standard that he was not even aware of! And I can't help but feel that he is treated this way because he is not someone important, rich, who could be treated this way WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES.
Last Twilight showed that people warning other people about the "savior complex" and about being "dispensable" to the rich are true lol
No matter how I look at it, no matter how many times I think about it, I really don't want Mhok to go back to Day. Mhok deserves someone who will give him back exactly what he gives, an equal relationship, unconditional love and support, he deserves a relationship with an adult, with ability to regulate and handle their emotions (like Phojai). He deserves, above all, respect.
I know trailers can be misleading, but it bothers me how Day and his family are shown in bright colors, laughing, while Mhok is shown in subdued colors, without a smile. And the fact that Day goes down the escalator without a cane. Can he see??
