turnabout succession thoughts

parts 1 2 and 3

this ones gonna be a lil different, ill be adding thoughts as I play, then do a summary at the end. ill probably do this one under a read more

edit: i've finished, and yeah, glad i put it under a read more. just a massive block of bullet points under there, so i'll do my summary up here instead. full breakdown is under the cut. spoilers ahead!

apollo: loved his whole thing here. glad he still got to do the final blows to kristoph. phoenix did take over a lot, but i'm glad apollo was still there, yknow. also his bracelet! i know some people are probably like "great magic bracelet" and tbh the "power" is a little stupid, but i like that the bracelet technically has nothing to do with it? it's just something that tightens perfectly to your skin, and it feels like it gets "tighter" because you get more tense. fascinating

phoenix: mans is so mysterious. why do you not explain anything to anyone. please please please fucking tell your daughter she has a brother wtf. i get things are on a need-to-know basis with you but like. come on. that seems pretty need-to-know. also his fuckin hat camera thing!! oh my god!! man has been recording shit (presumably) this whold fucking time!!! what the fuck!!!!!!

trucy: never change queen i love you. been bossing people around since day fuckin one and no one can stop you. queen shit

klavier: this man. has been through. so fucking much. how are you still standing. how have you not collapsed under the anger and the grief and the stress youve been under?? baby boy please take a rest. please see a therapist. please im begging you

kristoph: what an evil man, but tbh? im still a little confused on his motive. why did he want to be so famous? why did he decide to kill so many people. why. mans a fuckin insane serial killer and yet. he still trusted his brother. maybe because klavier would've been harder to get rid of. the mishams, whatever, they're reclusive painters, no one would've noticed if they up and disappeared (technically). but klavier? man

conclusions: i love this game and i love apollo justice. thank you.

fuck i know this evidence is forged but like. phoenix doesn't?? also is just the page fake?? is the whole book fake?? and klavier knows, right? didnt kristoph tell him that phoenix made-up evidence? though i got it from trucy, who got it from a mysterious man in the hallway. what the fuck is going on

god its such an obvious trap but theres literally nothing else i can do. it fits too well goddamn it

wait wait wait hold on. so we knew misham was a forger. we've known for years. it was brought up in court, in front of a judge. and they didnt arrest him???????? my only thought is that maybe they decided to "overlook" this crime in exchange for him cooperation but like. why

aha and im already seeing inconsistencies. misham is obviously covering for his client, he "never met them". vera, on the other hand, claims she met them face to face. a clear discrepancy, and now klavier's earlier (later?) freakout makes much more sense. hes been under the impression that phoenix is a liar and a cheat this whole time. obviously, he has no idea his brother's involvement in this whole this (tbf im still not clear on the details myself but dramatic irony at its finest)

just as a little aside as i embark on the mason system: looking at the court record, i see that kristoph and apollo have been added. both of them have (what i presume to be) their "present" descriptions, but their "past" ages. so apollo says "a greenhorn defense attorney. i call him apollo" and his age is 15. like first off. you did not meet apollo at 15 i call bullshit. plus kid is not a defense attorney he is in HIGH SCHOOL

anyway the kristoph one is funnier because it says he's 25 but "incarcerated for the murder of shadi smith" which has not happened yet. they dont even know shadi yet (well they do but. you get my point). okay aside over back to the game

awww its officer meekins. ill be honest i really was not expecting to run into him of all people

baby truce is the same as ever i see. she has immediately taken over phoenix's life and honestly? good for her

30 Ace Attorney Headcanons!

1. The phantom is a sick fuck. He made Simon believe that all they had was real. [Friendship or romantic relationship, that is something you decide.]

2. Apollo and Clay used to stay up and watch conspiracy theory videos at night. Now that Clay is gone, Apollo watches them with Klavier but it'll never be the same.

3. There are conspiracy theories that Klavier Gavin is secretly evil and people who theorise/theorize that Lamiroir is Thalassa also theorize/theorise that Klavier is keeping her hostage and making her use the name "Lamiroir", so Klavier and Simon sit down and watch those conspiracy theory videos in their free time and they laugh their lungs out. Sebastian, Kay and Ema join them sometimes, there are also videos that theorize/theorise who "Herr Forehead" is. They all find it absolutely hilarious.

4. Klavier basically gets along with everyone. Guys, girls, non-binaries, he gets along with everyone except Franziska. She thinks of him as a fool.

5. Franziska mostly works on huge international cases such as huge smuggling cases of criminal organisations/organizations now. She works with Interpol on all of them and her partner is Lang, they sometimes get a 3rd partner on some cases and sometimes they don't.

6. Nahyuta worked on cases with Interpol more than once. He was once partnered with Franziska and Lang when he was just 21 years old. And that was how Franziska met Nahyuta.

7. The phantom disguised himself as an agent once and got all the information he needed from Interpol and gave the information to the organization/organisation he works for.

8. The prosecutors' building and the WAA all worked on getting Tyrell Badd a lower sentence. He got 20 years in prison and they were able to reduce his sentence all the way down to 4 years. He is out of prison now and he's really thankful for what they've done for him.

9. Tyrell Badd and Raymond Shields became best friends after Tyrell got out of prison.

10. Gregory Edgeworth was a world famous lawyer and his death was world news for a really long time. All lawyers that he inspired were heartbroken.

11. Kristoph has pulled some harsh pranks on Klavier but only realised/realized they were harsh if Klavier told him. Because those same "pranks" were pulled on Kristoph by a neglecting parent.

12. Kristoph took his little brother and legally adopted him after the parents legally kicked both of them out.

13. Anyone who works at the prosecutors' building always has a free ticket to any of Trucy's magic shows or Klavier's concerts.

14. Klavier once assisted Trucy on one of her magic shows and Klavier once wrote a song about magic and he needed a magician, so she was in both the music video and the concert. It was a Gramarye magic show x Gavin concert, so it was a huge hit and probably their best collaboration.

15. Apollo defended Vera for forgery and Klavier wasn't harsh enough to prosecute her so Gaspen Payne, new prosecutor at the time prosecuted her. Vera pleaded innocent.

16. Vera became a successful and well known artist. She is still very thankful for what Apollo has done.

17. The Ace Attorney country is a country that is a mixture of Japan and America, that being said all the characters are considered Japanese and it says that they are Japanese on their passports, ids, etc. but all characters speak at least English and Japanese because those 2 are their native languages.

18. When a character is stressed, anxious, nervous and/or scared would revert back to their first language of the language that they grew up with. So people who are German [Klavier and Franziska] would revert back to German, etc. SO, what about the characters whose native languages are English AND Japanese? Well, they would revert back to which one is easier for them. The whole entire space center prefers Japanese, meanwhile the Fey clan prefers English, etc.

19. Apollo and Trucy feel their mother is alive and well but they have no way of proving that. They also had a weird feeling when cross-examining Lamiroir, the feeling was of comfort, warmth and as if they related to her.

20. Lamiroir tries to go to all of Trucy's magic shows and is in the gallery for all of Apollo's trials because she wants to see how her kids are doing. She always asks Phoenix how they are doing, but now that Apollo is in Khura'in, she has became friends with Amara.

21. All main rivals investigated cases together at least once. Phoenix and Miles, Apollo and Klavier, Apollo and Nahyuta and Athena and Simon.

Far-fetched headcanon time:

22. Klavier was actually a defendant once, but they forgot to record the trial.

BACK TO NORMAL HEADCANONS!

23. Klavier and Simon were troublemakers. Simon started getting accused of crimes ever since he was 14, he always got accused of at least a couple crimes every year hence no one believed in his innocence in the UR-1 incident. Kristoph made bank. And Klavier also always got accused of crimes ever since he hit the age of 14 and it was also a couple of crimes each year and poor Kristoph he's not getting payed enough to defend his brother.

24. Aura actually knew Kristoph from high-school. They were not friends but not enemies, kinda like acquaintances.

25. Betty doesn't want to admit it but she's STILL a huge fan of Trucy's.

26. Klavier visits Apollo in Khura'in on a monthly basis and stays in Khura'in for about a week every month.

27. They don't make hair gel in Khura'in, so Apollo will have his hair down in Khura'in.

28. Apollo, as a child, has more than once stole the car of a queen's guard and took off with it if the royal guards were chasing him [and sometimes Nahyuta is with him]. Nahyuta has done the same thing. He does return the cars later... somehow...

29. When Nahyuta was doing the queen's bidding, he kidnapped, killed or amputated some of her royal guards. That is a secret that nobody knows about except him.

30. When Ga'ran went to prison, all the rebels that were caught were released.

Mini Fanfic #966: Among Falsehood (Ace Attorney)

Dead Body(s) Report- YaBoiWocky and Klavier The Rocking Sensation

Ema: Well, damn. Look like one of the killers aren't messing around this time.

Trucy: I know, right? ('Sniff') Look at how they massacred my Wocky-Kins.....

Ema: My boyfriend was murdered too, Trucy.

Trucy: Yeah, but at least you guys are veterans at the game. This is Wocky's first night playing and he's still confused.

Ema: I mean.....You're not wrong, but- ('Sigh') You know what? Forget it. We're already starting to waste time as it is. Who found whose body?

Pearl: I've found Wocky's body near the....laboratory area, I think? I'm not sure what it's called to be frank.

Apollo: Was it the Mid Base Scan area?

Pearl: Probably? ('Sigh') I don't think I know anything about this area too well.......But who was following me when I was going to the room to report?

Apollo: Were they coming from behind you or from specimen?

Pearl: I believe it was from below....into that area.

Ema: So into specimen then.

Pearl: Yeah.

Apollo: Well, I was in the admin room the entire time in case anyone's wondering. But I did see two people standing in mid by, lab area for a few seconds before one of them disappeared, so.....

Athena: Ooh! Before I forget, I can vouch for Vera being cleared cause after I walked out of the trash bin area, I saw her made her way into room.

Vera: (Messages "It's true" on the Who is the Imposter Screen)

Ema: Alright. But did anyone of you seen the Fop's body passing by by any chance?

Athena: Not really, no.

Vera: (Messages "I can't say that I have I'm afraid")

Trucy: I was doing my own task at the weapons' area. It's easy as it always been

Ema: Shit you're lucky. It took me minutes to finish that stupid debit card task. I hate it.

Ema: Alright. So I found Pearls' body at the laboratory section at the top right by the showers. It's a shame she wasn't able to get herself clean in time. She would've been the squeakiest grape pretzel of all.

Apollo: You know, I'm gonna be honest, that pretzel actually looks great on her among us man.

Athena: I know right? It's her cute pretzel hair never left.

Apollo: (Snickers a Little) Yeah. So you said you found her at the showers, Ema?

Ema: Yep.

Athena: You wanna know who hit the showers?

Apollo: Huh?

Ema: What?

Trucy: SEE!? Polly curses too and he's supposed the most mature one out of the two of us!!!

Apollo: Well, I'm older than you, so....

Apollo: Alright! Alright! As much as I would love to debate more on the morality of our use languages, the time is about to run out in here and we still have two killers are still at large.

Ema: Oh shit. I didn't think about that.

Trucy: OH YA DON'T SAY!!?

Apollo: Fifteen seconds remaining!

Athena: Let's just vote off Ema already, shall we?

Trucy: Yeah. Let's! Cause I am upset tired, stressed, and about to cry right now thanks to that madwoman.

Ema: Fair mad woman.

As the gang cast their votes, it is shown that Ema has one vote while Trucy has all three.

Apollo: Oh no.

Trucy: WHAT!? NO!!!

Athena: (Starts Snickering Once More) So much for that I guess.....

Trucy: WHAT THE FUCK!?

Ema: That's unfortunate.

Trucy: YOU'RE HAPPY, EMA?

Trucy gets ejected

Trucy: Now I'm in the pool of lava, dying thanks to you! ('Knees Slap') FUCK!

Trucy: (Closes her Laptop Before Groaning and Covering her Face in Annoyance)

Trucy: (Immediately Turns Next to Her Boyfriend While Pouting and Sitting on the Sofa Together) Wockyyyyy!~ Our friends are my making fun of me, it's not funny!

Least Favorite character: It’s hard to say, because there’s a lot of annoying witnesses but, like, they’re intended to be annoying and I actually admire the series for creating so many characters you’re supposed to not like and doing it so well- ...Oh wait, Godot. I just remembered him. He’s my least favourite. 5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Klavier/Apollo, Phoenix/Iris, Kristoph/Phoenix, Kristoph/Apollo, Franziska/Adrian Character I find most attractive: Phoenix, specifically Hobo!Phoenix Character I would marry: Apollo Character I would be best friends with: Vera a random thought: They need to release Apollo Justice on the Switch. I would buy this game again just to be able to play it on a TV. An unpopular opinion: I’m one of those obnoxious AJ fans who ignores AA5/6 and I’m not sorry. my canon OTP: Phoenix/Iris Non-canon OTP: All my ships for this series are canon most badass character: Gumshoe is more badass than he gets credit for. All the stuff he’s been through to protect Phoenix & Maya from danger! He’s thrown himself in harms way and lost his job more than once for them. ;0; pairing I am not a fan of: Klavier/Ema character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Now that I’m older and wiser, I do not like how Godot was presented at all. They could’ve done the exact same character, but just taken out the chauvinistic crap and it would’ve been fine. Replace Godot with Lana tbh. favourite friendship: Phoenix, Apollo, Trucy & Klavier character I want to adopt or be adopted by: I want to adopt Regina to protect her from all those creeps. Bispearl when of if I started shipping it: I mean I thought it was cute when Bismuth first appeared, but I didn’t properly get into it until Bismuth made it obvious that she has feelings for Pearl. my thoughts: Look, I just wanted Pearl to get a girlfriend and have a nice, requited relationship with them. And there Bismuth is and she’s absolutely great, so I support these two being together. What makes me happy about them: That they get to be together and live in peace from now on. What makes me sad about them: I don’t think there was anything? things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven’t read any yet, so I couldn’t say. things I look for in fanfic: I’d like fics where Bismuth is awkwardly trying to confess her feelings to Pearl. Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Bismuth/Peridot is great. I also used to be big into Pearlnet, but I’m really so much any more. They’re still fine though, so I guess that? My happily ever after for them: Bismuth takes like 4557 years to pluck up the courage to tell Pearl how she feels and even then, Pearl doesn’t get that she means that romantically for a while. So after a series of wacky miscommunications they eventually manage to confess, realise the feeling is mutual and get together. who is the big spoon/little spoon: Bismuth is the big spoon, Pearl is the little spoon. what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Roller-skating~ Clive Dove How I feel about this character: Clive’s great! I still love Clive even now and since I’ve got distance from the fandom, I don’t worry about saying so anymore. All the people I ship romantically with this character: Mostly just Layton. Maybe Dimitri a little bit, but I’m less into that. My non-romantic OTP for this character: Clive & Luke friendship. My unpopular opinion about this character: I mean Clive’s always been divisive, so it’s hard to say what’s an unpopular opinion when half the fandom detests him and the other half adores him. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: He got out of prison some years later, just cuz I’m spiteful. my het ship: None. Clive is ace/gay. my fem/slash ship: Layton/Clive my OTP: Layton/Clive my OT3: Layton/Clive/Dimitri a head cannon fact: Clive wears those stupid long socks even when he’s not impersonating Luke.
