ok so quick summary of what tales of arcadia is for everyone at home graciously provided by wikipedia. a lot of the current timeline of the au is gonna focus on trollhunters so our main protagonist can have some development even though I thought of some scenarios outside of the current timeline whoops

Tales of Arcadia is a trilogy of animated science fantasy television series created for Netflix by Guillermo del Toro and produced by DreamWorks Animation and Double Dare You. The series comprising the trilogy follows the inhabitants of the small suburban town of Arcadia Oaks, which is secretly home to various supernatural creatures and the young heroes who fight against the forces of evil that lurk in the shadows. The three installments of the trilogy, Trollhunters, 3Below and Wizards, have been released worldwide.

so basically this au is filled with magical creatures (trolls), aliens (akiridions), and wizards which is so yogs based!!! there are also beings called changelings who can switch between human and troll.

I imagine a lot of the old gen yogs as non-human and older, while the new gen are mainly human and as teens/young adults like kirsty who is human, however there are a few exceptions like briony who is a troll. technically briony isn't a teen because trolls live for a very long time though she is younger than some of the other trolls. I plan on adding more new gen yogs but need to figure out what role they would play in the au instead of them being just bystanders/background characters. I also intend on adding more SOI characters but I need to refresh myself on the lore

in the under cut I've assigned everyone as either a troll, akiridion, wizard, changeling or human. don't mind the extra bits, I'll explain those in another post along with some dynamics between characters

ALSO, quick note I'm gonna try to be very low-key with our resident demi-gods since the arcane order is a big spoiler in the trilogy. I'll tag posts accordingly to avoid spoilers if y'all are interested in watching the series

No doubt this has already well made the rounds, but just for a little brush up on the Tryals of Major Stede Bonnet (and his 'crew') before the end of the season:

Warning: Here there be monsters. Some time-period racist bullshit in these documents. Proceeding to preach to the choir: October - month Bonnet and his crew were brought to trial Charleston, SC for trial, escaping the 24th, quickly recaptured, and the trail of his crew started October 28th. After skimming a few pages: Assuming Capt. Thatch = Blackbeard, when he marooned the crew (most of them claiming to be prisoners). Page 31 (document number, not page) -

Lopez: I was at the Bay of Honduras, and was taken by Thatch, and carried to Tovrail-Met, and there he marooned me on a ifland, and came with five Hands, and carried all away that we had, and left us. And Major Bonnet told me he would go to St. Thomas's and I might go along with him. I told Capt. Mamareing I would not go a pirating, for I did not like it.

And reminding everyone of page 35 -

Judge Trott: Pell, do you know whether he (prisoner crew member Thomas Nicholas) did fight Col. Rhett or not? Jgn. Pell: He (Nichols) did not fight; and if one that Major Bonnet loved very well, had not been fhot down by his Side, he had blowed his (Nichols) Brains out; for he had his Piftol ready.

Page 47 is where Bonnet's trial starts.

This wasn't supposed to happen, how did it happen? He forgave all the Fontainians of their sin, how could you have possibly dissolved? Foçalors had saved everyone with her deception.

That's how it was supposed to go, right? So why are you gone now?? You knew not to touch or get near the Primordial water, so why.. why are you gone? Neuvillette questions these things desperately, still walking around Fontaine and looking at the aftermath of the previously prophesized flood now defeated.

The Fontainians and the Traveler and Paimon knew that Neuvillette was sad and what it was about, and it was because it was one of those times where the rain was the Hydro Dragon weeping, and not natural rain. The Fontainians just didn't know Neuvillette was the dragon himself.

Everytime his name was called, he had a sliver of hopeless hope that it was you, but it never was you who called out his name. Once he caught wind of how you had dissolved, he decided to take it as at least knowing how you had attained such a fate, to comfort himself somehow. He knew you wouldn't want him to fret over you not being here with him anymore, but it was harder than he thought.

Neuvillette carried on as normal with his life, but it poured rain and sometimes thundered in Fontaine for a while. With your death on top of Foçalors’ sacrifice, he didn't know how to cope very well at all since he had no one to go to anymore. He treasured the items you had gifted him while you were still here and even got a shelf to keep them all in one spot on the wall near him.

Neuvillette keeps the ring you gave him on his finger 24/7. It was a simple silver ring with a rendition of a Hydro Dragon in the middle. Neuvillette visits the water often, knowing you had become an Oceanid and just cries sometimes on the sand or grass.

Sometimes in those moments, he finds himself murmuring words that fall upon deaf ears, if any, or get drowned out by the sound of thunder and rain.

“Please, [name]..” Neuvillette sobs quietly. “Please, come back to me..” he murmurs to himself. He keeps a cool front, but alone, he misses you desperately as he holds his hand adorning the ring close to his chest, tears ruining his makeup and smearing it down his cheeks.

Neuvillette was too late to forgive the sins, for you had already dissolved into water, and he can't help but feel sorry that he was late for you, when you never were for him in his times of need.

He grieves an eternity for you, and he regrets not professing his love to you sooner, for now you are gone, washed away in the waters of the primordial sea as he desperately still tries to search for you. ☆

And by to way  I’m pretty sure one of the filmmakers on the team is a The Sims player. Namely, that alien pregnancy is almost like taken from the Sims games, except that the male sims don't get pregnant by kissing, but they do abducted to the spaceship and then something happens and when the male sims are brought back then they might be the alien pregnant. But not always.
