“... Thanks, guys..” She voiced her appreciation before focusing on the task at hand. Nobody seemed to have noticed her yet, all the nurses too busy with their own business or not noticing her at all. For once, Trifle felt relieved to be unseen by the world.

The exit was in front of her now, and with a hesitant smile, she gave you a thumbs up and walked out into the world.

jesus christ, will it hurt you to at least TRY to be nice to her? if trifle is trying her best, the least you could do is put some effort into hopefully fixing your relationship with each other.

“I’ve tried to be nice to her. I’ve done everything for her. She could’ve repaid the favor long ago, but now it’s too little too late.” Even as Trifle reached out to try and stop her, Aditi turned her back. And this set off a fuse.

“Why can’t you just- talk to me!?” Trifle yelled. “You never open up, you never want to have conversations, you avoid me! Why do you hate me!? Why!? I didn’t do anything to you! Do you not care!?”

“You-?” Aditi paused, mouth opening but twitching into a smile of disbelief, laughing lightly. “You’re joking, right? You never did anything to me?”

“No! I’m not joking-! I never hurt you! So… why do you treat me like I’m just as bad as… her.” Trifle asked with high emotions.

“…. You never hurt me directly, sure. You can claim that. But you’ve hurt me more than anyone else ever has.”

“H-How!? Oddity, I-I don’t under-!”

“I tried to tell you. “Keep your head down,” “Do as she says and we will live,” “I can teach you how to fight better.” I offered you all I could. You never listened. Not once. All you did was rebel. You know what she did to rebels? Hm?” Aditi asked, looking at her expectedly.

“…… killed or hurt them.”

“And you’re without a scratch, beside your arm. And why is that?” Aditi gestured time herself. “Every time you screwed up, I took the blame. I covered for you because I thought you would learn. I thought you would listen to me. But you never did. Because you’re a selfish brat.”

“B-But.. you… you were her favorite. She wouldn’t hurt you. You just.. you took the blame because she wouldn’t hurt you.. right?”

“…….”

“Oddity…?”

“Stop saying I never cared about you. I cared about you more than anyone else there did. You were just too blind to see it.” Aditi turned and walked away without sparing a glance back once again. If only Trifle knew it was because she was teary eyed.

“Oh! Oh yeah-! Haha! Sorryyy! He was just really shy and boring and didn’t help me at allll, y’know?” She sang with a giggle, clearly not seeing how rude her statement was. “Why would I stick around people who don’t help me or offer anything?? There’s no point in that!”

“That’s not-“ Trifle sighed and ran a hand through her hair. Her eye caught sight of Azumi using a red marker to draw on the map she held in hand. “What are you doing? Don’t we need that to get there!?”

“Hm? Oh yeah, no worries! Our little prisoner is taking us straight there, I’m just mapping out where... everything...” Azumi struggled to finish her thoughts while she furiously drew out all the details needed. “-is! Yep! See? Now we’ll have a guide on where the most dangerous area are, and how we can slip inside? Sound good?”

“I-uh-!” Trifle was clearly taken aback, squinting at the detailed map in front of her. “Well.. yeah, yeah that sounds perfect. I didn’t.. know you could do this sorta stuff? Like.. strategize and navigate-“

Azumi smiled and shrugged her shoulders, tossing in a wink for extra measure. “I’ve had experience in the past!”

“How would I know? She never got mad at me at least… I-I’m just happy to be away from her before I got to know-“ Trifle mumbled, accidentally fumbling into another and bouncing back. “Ah-! Sorry, s-sorry, I wasn’t, um… woah…”

“Hey.” Finn greeted, not moving an inch from Trifle’s impact and not seeming bothered by her staring either. “Nice ta meetcha. Yer Dee’s sis, huh?”

“Dee?” Trifle had to bite back a laugh at the nickname, knowing Aditi must despise it. “Yeah, that’s me. I’m Trifle. And you are…?” Shirtless.

“Finn.” He answered with an easy smile, motioning for the girl to follow him down the hallway. “C’mon. I’ll show ya a room yous can crash in.”

“Sister? You’ve got ‘nother one?” Iyabo asked with a cocked eyebrow, but found no answer as Aditi ignored her, stepping forward.

“… Why are you here?” Aditi asked, towering over the pink-haired girl, her arms crossed defensively.

“I-It’s nice to see you too.” Trifle huffed back, matching her defensiveness. She quickly relaxed, thinking better than to make her older sister angry. “I needed to find you, I was.. waiting.. I-I thought you’d..” She trailed off.

“Come back?” Aditi finished for Trifle, earning a nod in return. The taller girl sighed and shook her head, electing to ignore that comment entirely. “How did you escape?”

“… Does that really matter right now, Oddity? I really need your-“

“Do not call me that.” Aditi warned, her eyes narrow and voice low. “Aditi. Address me as such.”

Trifle bit back a sneer, nodding and forcing her best neutral expression. “Sorry, sorry.. Aditi. I need to hide from her, p-please. I.. I don’t know where else to go. I went through so much trouble to find you, I-“

“Keeping you here would be a liability at best, especially if she is searching for you. You understand that, yes?”

“She’s looking for you too, right? What’s the harm in adding me into the mix..?” Trifle countered, violet eyes pleading. “I won’t- I’ll stay out of your way. I won’t bother you or your friends, I’ll lay low. Just until I find somewhere else. Please…”

Aditi’s face scrunched in frustration, eyes shifting to the side, growling and turning her back finally. “…Until you find a new home. That’s it, sister. Don’t over stay your welcome.”

Despite her sister’s frustration, Trifle smiled and sighed in relief, stumbling awkwardly after them and entering her new home. For now.

“Yellowpaws- who te fuck-!?!?” Iyabo barely had time to register the ask, before an overly excited girl tackled her in a hug, holding her face captive in her chest. Iyabo clawed to get away like an angry kitten.

“Hiiii, Yaba Daba!! How are you?? Hi! Fairy Dust! Spitfire! Deedee! And Finnegan!!!” Azumi waved at everyone of the people in front of her, releasing Iyabo from her death grip hug. All of them stared at her in confusion, all except Putri, who glared knowingly. “Shehehe!! Sorry, I just really like hugs! No biggie! Girl on girl hugs are purely platonic, mhm!” She winked.

“U-Uh… guys? Who’s that? I don’t recognize her-“ Fay began but was sadly cut off by Azumi once again.

“Anyways-!! Sorry guys! But I gotta book it! Meemee is waiting on me! Yeaaahhh!! Buh-Bye!” She sang happily, before skipping away without a care in world. None of the others had enough time to truly respond or protest.

Aditi stepped forward to almost pursue Azumi, when she glanced toward the plane and stopped. “….. Sister..?”

There, stepping off the plane was Trifle. The gusts of wind surrounded her and blew her pink hair into a mess as the plane took off into the sky once again. She waved with her free arm, smiling nervously. “… Hi, Oddity…”

I love how Aditi and Trifle look like polar opposites. Audi is in all black, and Trifle has pink hair and looks all bright and colorful!

“Yes. How cute. Even in our style of dress we are completely opposing one another. Symbolic, isn’t it?” Aditi huffed, crossing her arms and averting eye contact.

“Well, that’s not entirely true!” Trifle chirped, attempting to be optimistic with an awkward smile. “You remember this?” She pointed towards the black choker necklace around her neck.

“… I do.” Aditi nodded, looking back over finally, tugging on her own choker. “We were quite petty to steal these from the convenient store, isn’t that what you said?”

“I-I mean, yeah, robbing some place isn’t the greatest, but-“ She perked up. “It’s something we’ll always have in common, right? At least in our outfits!” She pointed out happily.

Aditi stared back for a moment, her mouth twitching. “…. I suppose that’s correct. One is better than none.”

Psst... Azumi, don't tell Trifle we told you, but her boyfriend didn't break up with her. Aditi killed him in front of her. Slashed his throat and chucked him off a cliff, in fact.

“.....”

“Woooaahh! Is that true?? Triffy! Is that true??” Azumi pestered, the shadow on her face immediately fading away as she got closer to her partner in crime.

Trifle didn’t respond, only glared at Azumi, sweat beading on her brow however, showing how nervous the question made her. As helpful as it was to sense lies in others, it did her no favors when trying to lie herself. “.... yeah.” She quietly confirmed.

“Wowww! That’s so mean! Shehehe!!” Azumi shook her head side to side, multicolored hair following in unison. “I can’t believe she’d do that! Well- yeah I can, haha! Was there a reason?? Did he do something wrong?”

Trifle bit her lip, eyes furrowing angrily. “.. No. He didn’t do anything. Nothing. It wasn’t his fault.” She corrected, adamantly.

“Uh-huh. Then... was it your fault?” Azumi countered.

Trifle froze, shoulders slumping and face shifting to a softer more distraught expression. The memories hit her harshly over the head like a baseball bat. Aditi wouldn’t have been angry if Trifle had stayed out of trouble. She wouldn’t have done what she did, I’d she’d kept her head down and acted like a despair. That’s what her sister always said, and despite rejected it outwardly, she couldn’t help but wonder. What if? What if she was right?

“No. It was her fault. She didn’t need to kill him. She... she’s a.....monster.” Trifle spat, though she clearly struggled to get out the last word.

“Then... why are you trying to find her?” The cheerleader asked in confusion, making Trifle stall completely. The pink haired girl growled and shoved the revolver into Azumi’s hand instead, going to sit down and clear her thoughts without saying another word aloud.
