Some flowers live forever
A little more than a year ago, my bunny Miko (that I called more often Coco) passed away suddenly. While doing tribute art to cope with my grief, I instinctively drew Coco with yellow flowers. Sunflowers are my favorite flowers, and Coco will forever be my special little sun, even if he had to go away so soon. I think that now, I associate Sunflowers with Coco, and it makes me love them even more. Just like Coco's light is never far, his flowers are still blooming bright.

Two proud, fierce, spiky-haired warriors face each other across a rocky chasm… but why do they both feel so strangely familiar to the other?! A battle for honour is surely about to begin!
Through Dragonball, Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest, Akira Toriyama had a massive influence on my childhood. I think it’s also pretty fair to say that Pokemon, and especially Lance, would not be the same without his stylistic influence on Ken Sugimori’s early work. So, for all the thrills and inspiration, both to myself and many others, thank you so much Toriyama-san, and rest in peace.
I had so much fun designing a Toriyama-style DBZ design for Lance, putting in a bit of flavour from both his Gen 1 red biker and Gen 2 pointed armour looks. The dramatic cape flourish also pulls a bit from his HGSS art pose, just for fun (and flair)
I learnt a lot picking apart and studying different Dragonball panels and colour spreads to make this crossover tribute, but perhaps the most striking thing was re-reading chunks of DBZ and realising just how good at weekly pulp adventure story pacing Toriyama was.
I already knew he had perhaps the best grasp of dynamic, crystal clear action panelling in the business, but his ability to pace out a weekly story and always have some new twist or wrinkle while maintaining a solid, driving central narrative really stood out to me this time. And that’s not even mentioning all the ad-libbing!
One of the greatest to ever do it in so very many different ways - I am sure his work will continue to inspire not just artists in our current generation, but many young artists in the future as well.

Made on March 26.
The time has come: Danny Phantom's 20th anniversary (2004-2024)! To celebrate, I've decided to make Team Phantom in the style of My Life as a Teenage Robot after having done the main characters of that show in Danny Phantom's style.
After days of creating the quartet, all that was left was adding them in a background, which ended up being the Wakeman house.
In conclusion, this was a labor of love for one of my favorite Nicktoons, and I hope everyone loves this as much as I was proud of making this.

I'm devastated. Dragon Ball is the reason I'm here, it's how I discovered a whole new medium of storytelling and easily one of my largest inspirations. Rest in peace Akira Toriyama.

I was told some sad news that he had passed away this year. He lived for 68 years giving us so much from the Dragon Ball, Blue Dragon Dr. Slump, Chrono Trigger and the Dragon Quest series. So, I had to draw Goku shedding tears that his own creator now gone.
Everyone, we will get through this. Toriyama, thank you, and may you rest in peace in Other World.

Tribute OC Art: Terrence Lawrence JR.
Broken: An incredible writer named @toast-on-dandelioms made an interested storyline about Bruce Wayne's Son who was neglected by the Bat Family after the death of his mother resulted in him being sent to his father's side of the family. This Son would then gave the powers of a certain marvel superhero after a spider bite during a trip. Here is my trubite to that amazing story.

It's hard to find the right things to say here. Akira Toriyama was a massive influence for us as creators. Chaos Friends wouldn't exist today without us being in awe at Dragon Ball Z as kids. We learned how to make art and comics from seeing how Toriyama would use action lines. His sense of action, speed, and paneling are truly a class of it's own. It pushed us to want to create, and write, and make cool fights and characters. It's difficult to imagine how things would have been for many of us without Toriyama's imaginative worlds. RIP and thank you for everything, Akira Toriyama
