psa, bc there are a lot of people who need to hear this:

by now we as a community should know that bad omens only cancels their shows as a last fucking resort. they have stated (multiple times over the years) that they want every show to be an amazing experience for everyone involved. they would rather cancel so they can be perfect in the future than do a show that it is subpar.

so when they announce that they need to cancel a couple shows bc noah’s infection is preventing him from performing, you need to fucking respect that. a singer’s voice is their instrument, and they need to keep it in tune and treat it well if they want to keep singing just like any other instrument.

and honestly, the way some of y’all act when bad omens posts something like this is disgusting. the guys are not machines, so we should not treat them as such. they are humans with health concerns and issues just like the rest of us. you’re being incredibly selfish and really do not deserve them.

i’ve been a part of the metal scene and alternative scene as a whole long enough to see bands i love be treated like robots by people who claim to be their fans. the only reason they’re still around is bc they love doing what they do. so grow the fuck up and calm down. be kind to these people and support them. do not be selfish dicks when things don’t go your way.

i do hope noah gets feeling better soon. he and the rest of the band deserve more than a few days off, and i’m glad they’re making the decisions in order to get there.

I was blocked by Lily Orchard for calling her rude and standing up for myself

I didn't even know who Lily Orchard was until 8 p.m. yesterday. It was my sister and a friend who told me that she is kind of famous for being toxic. and then we looked through the Tumblr hashtag and found out more less-than-ideal things about her.

I was casually looking for some Belle and Sulley Disney Mirrorverse content, and I saw a post about someone asking how long before someone starts to ship Belle and Sulley. So I decided to playfully reblog the post, and boy do I wish that I hadn't.

I just dropped two of my dumb ship edits in the reblog, and I wrote "Belley is my OTP!!!" with a triumph emoji indicating my derpy pride in it.

She reblogged me and said, "Congratulations, that is the worst ship name EVER. Bluebelle was RIGHT THERE."

She didn't have to go out of her way to reblog what I reblogged just to insult me, bully me, talk down to me, and treat me like I'm stupid over a ship name. She didn't have to make me feel stupid, but she did anyway.

So, I did something that I normally don't do, which is stick up for myself. and it earned me a block. She didn't apologize for being so rude; she didn't even want to acknowledge what I had said, so she blocked me like I was nothing.

If someone told me that they felt that I was being rude to them, I would immediately apologize because I actually care about how I treat and talk to people. And if someone pointed out that they already did something that I accused them of not doing, I would act like an adult and politely eat my words.

I'm so sorry about this vent, you guys. Maybe I'm a little too overly sensitive and let things bother me.

So, first things first, Hi, I don’t normally make posts like this but I feel like I need to make one about the racism that’s been circulating around this side of tumblr. Calling people racial slurs is disgusting and will never be right. I don’t care if you’re doing it in response to all the unnecessary backlash some creators are getting or if you’re the one sending the backlash. Whatever “side” you’re on, it is not okay and that shit will not be tolerated by me and I hope every other creator and member in this community.

Calling people racial slurs for whatever reason on the internet is way deeper than most might think it is. POC but more specifically, black individuals live with it everyday of their every IRL lives. Your small comment/insult causes ripple effects, somebody reads it, thinks its okay and gets more and more comfortable with showing their racism and being a racist on the internet and IN IRL. Real people suffer. Real people have to suffer the consequences of bigoted, ignorant, racists assholes on the internet.

Please, what I ask of all my readers/followers is to treat others with absolute respect. DESPITE, any differences they might have with one another. Any kind of bigoted hate will not ever be tolerated on my blog, EVER. And if you’re not willing to do this very easy thing then please unfollow me immediately.

To the rest of the community, please take into consideration my words and the message I am trying to get across. Again, you might not think this is a big deal but we’ve seen already, time and time again in history how one small comment can hurt the masses. AND we’ve also seen how speaking up and not tolerating bigoted BS can heal it.

I just think that 'animals are living intelligent creatures that have feelings and deserve to be respected' and 'when done properly farming is beneficial to both people and animals and there's nothing wrong with raising and killing animals for food, clothing, and other products' are concepts that very much can and should coexist

#i think a lot of people get too carried away in farming discourse to actually remember both of these things #some people are so aggressively anti-farming that they forget that meat and fur are necessary for some people #and that farming helps prevent overhunting of certain species #but some people are so aggressively pro-farming that they begin to think of animals as objects #that only exist to provide them with a product #animals deserve to be treated with respect and be given the best care possible while they're alive #but that doesn't mean that its a bad thing for them to die

I really wonder why people can't go on without hating on things others do enjoy. If someone does enjoy something and it gives them happiness, then it's a “good” thing. I really don't understand fan-wars cause there is really no point in it. I really don't understand why people try to count numbers or moneys just to prove that something is a good work.
