i wonder how nex’s grandmother is doing. i can’t even imagine realizing you have to take your grandchild to the hospital. realizing she was the only adult who cared about their life. the only one who didn’t want nex to die.
every part of this is horrific and is absolutely locking trans kids in their own mental closets right now because they’re scared of their classmates beating them to death if they get the chance.
i’m so sorry. i promise there are kind adults. i promise there are trans adults. i promise there are adults that care. i promise there are other CHILDREN who care. you have peers who love you even if they don’t know you. keep yourself safe, in the closet if you have to. survive. and when you can reach us, we will hold you and love you as one of us. you have a people. keep yourself safe. even if we don’t know you’re here, there’s room for you. there is always room for you.

I have started a petition to the UK Government to scrap the new transphobic building requirements for every new non-residential building to have separate binary gendered toilets. It’s an ongoing part of the Tory hostile environment that means fewer public buildings will be able to provide ungendered bathrooms, as they are very unlikely to build three separate spaces.
I’m sure you all know how bathrooms are currently a flashpoint for transphobic abuse and violence, but I wanted to raise the fact, as a disabled nonbinary person, that only providing gendered bathrooms mean more trans binary and nonbinary and intersex people who are afraid of facing attack or abuse in them for being perceived as being “in the wrong space” end up having to use accessible bathrooms, even if they don’t have accessibility needs, for safety.
Given how inadequate accessible bathroom provision is, this means more people being forced into using an inadequate number of facilities, which can be really unpleasant for people with GI problems and other reasons they might need to use bathroom facilities very urgently.
Basically, this is a way to screw a whole load of marginalised people at once. I would really appreciate if you could sign and share my petition - I know it’s easy to feel it’s pointless, but given the Tories are such blatant populists, it’s far from the first time they have u-turned when people make noise about an issue.
Please sign and share!

Horrific transphobia from the Guardian, which is basically the only actually left wing newspaper in Britain. I feel sick.
Tumblr media
Misgendering right off the bat.
Tumblr media
Launching straight in with conversion therapy rhetoric.
Tumblr media
Infantilisation of transmascs… and saying that being trans is just a phase caused by struggles with puberty…
Tumblr media
Not even trying to hide the transandrophobia here, just straight up calling transmascs girls. Also… there’s plenty of research? WTF are they on?
Tumblr media
Or maybe… people are just trans.
Tumblr media
Using they/them for someone whose pronouns are not they/them is still misgendering, by the way. Also, you’re not in a difficult position. It’s not that hard to love and support your own child. That’s your job as a parent, and you failed. I hope this woman’s son is okay.
Tumblr media
The legitimising of Baywater Support Group is strange because… they have zero actual credibility. Also, the fact that a large number of transmascs are attracted to girls makes perfect sense - the vast majority of cis guys are also attracted to girls? Why are they acting like this is some kind of damning evidence against the existence of trans people?
Tumblr media
Or maybe, maybe, people are… just trans. God, I hate TERF island.

Dear "TERFs" and "TRAs", this is what I think about you:
Technically, a feminist (radical feminist in this content) is a person that fights for women's rights, and a trans activist is a person that fights for transgender people's rights. They both have very good intentions that I really agree with. But apperantley they are enemies somehow.
But why can't we just get along? I know, I might sound childish, but seriously. Why can't we just mind our bussiness? Why can't we just live our lives without being judged? Why can't we just accept that we're different? Why can't we just accept that people have different opinions? Why can't we have normal and kind conversations and arguments? Why can't we avoid being mean? Why can't we stop this drama? Why?
It is not impossible. Trust me. I know, I know... Probably not many people will see this post. And I know if it is seen I'll get comments like "it's TRAs' fault!" or "TERFs are the problem!", but hate will never be a valid answer for me.
So, "TERF" or "TRA", heart and reblog this post if you took me seriously and agree on the fact that this "digital war" (a bit exagerated, but you got it) should end!
Thank you so so much for reading this! ❤

Are you aware that pronouns are closed class in English?
Hi. I am going to respond as if this question was asked in good faith, even though I doubt it was.
First for anyone else reading, because I had to look it up, closed class is a linguistic term that means there are a finite number of terms within that category and the number of terms cannot expand. So the anon is saying that pronouns are a closed class, which means there cannot be new pronouns added.
While this may be a linguistic rule, I disagree with it on principle. Humans invented words and language, and language has always changed to represent the speakers who are using it. Pronouns are a group that has been changing more recently to represent a movement of acceptance of trans and gender-nonconforming people.
Language is empowering. Choice or words is empowering. Being able to choose a set of words to describe your experience to others is empowering and can be really wonderful. Pronouns being a closed class is something that needs to change to be able to keep up with the changes happening in our society.
So, to answer your question: yes I am aware, but no I do not care. That is not going to stop me or any other trans people from using whatever pronouns we want.
Here is a guide to neopronouns I made for anyone who wants to educate themselves and be a better trans ally :)

At age 29 can finally cross an incredibly important life experience off my bucket list (white knuckling it through a stand up comedy show where every single set absolutely fucking bombed).
Really I only resent how watery and awful the cocktails involved in the 'two drink minimum' were.

You know it just bugs me when transphobic and homophobic people say "it's not a phobia, im not 'scared' of trans people" and queers respond with "actually phobic doesn't have to mean fear!"
Kindly stop. You are validating them. It IS a fear, a fear of who we are, of what we stand for. We rip up the foundation of their core beliefs and they are scared. I've seen it in the way they present 'violent trans people' in the media
Ive seen it in the way cis people plead "please don't freak out" when they misgender me, as if WE will hurt THEM.
I see it in the gay and trans panic laws. PANIC.FEAR.

honestly, its so funny that cis women can get boob jobs without letters from therapists and doctors to "make sure" she won't regret it. but us trans folk need MULTIPLE letters to "make sure" we won't regret it. it's just transphobia. it's stupid and pathetic.

Rachel oats be like:
Rachael oats: mental health awareness is soooo important, we should NEVER share others mental health struggles without permission. 🥺
Also Rachel oats: * doxxed member of trans mental health support group putting their private mental health struggles out there knowing her audience would attack them because they made her upsetty *
Ppl were understandable calling her out on why that's disgusting behavior and how she needs to apologize for the damage she did towards this person's mental health.
Rachel oats: * starts falsely reporting people * BUT WHAT ABOUT MY MENTAL HEALTH?!
{ there's literal a whole playlist of terrible things she did against the trans community if you wanna see it just comment and I'll link it to you }
