There are still so many unanswered questions in FF16:
1) What the hell is this door and where does it go?

2) Did Terrence and Medicine Girl live?? Did they get out of the Dominion before Ultima destroyed it? Dion didn't seem to think so. They aren't grayed out on Vivian's chart...
3) What's up with this dude? Why is he suspicious? He's only suspicious because that's literally his name. What does he do besides spew cryptic bullshit out of his mouth?

4) How is Mythos pronounced? MEE-thos? MEW-thos? MIH-thos? What happened there? The voice acting was so good except it's like they rolled dice each time someone had to say Mythos.
5) What was Metia exactly? As a long time FF fan that dot was suspicious the entire game. It was described as a messenger to the moon in the lore entry. But what's it actually talking to? Loporrits? Omega? In the end the red fades from it but it's still there, just not glowy. So was it a magical transmitter of some kind?
6) What was the point of Oscar? Did I miss a quest or lore entry? I took him on as a squire but then he never did anything. I sent him to Eastpool but he continued to just stand there lime "thank you my lord!" Did they rin out of budget?
And my biggest question...
7) WHERE IS LEVIATHAN?? Joshua mentioned Leviathan the Lost but where are they? What happened to them? Did Clive not absorbing Leviathan's powers affect anything? Did it make Clive an incomplete Mythos? Are there remaining bits of magic if Leviathan is still around somewhere? Why did Harpocrates never even mention Leviathan? As a fellow lore nerd, that seems out of character for him to not even bring it up.

if a/b/o was a thing in the fateverse I'm positive absolutely nothing of significance would change BUT alphas would be way more efficient transmitters of mana while omegas are the most efficient receivers of mana. The most impact this would have on the plot is that during that bit in the Fate route where Rin tells you that poor mages sell they jizz for money she would go on a wild tangent on the specifics of cream economy.

The new life for your old AM radio (DIY micro power AM MW transmitter AMT-MW207)

Are you the type of person who likes listening to good ol' radio like I do? Unfortunately, medium-wave broadcasting has decayed in the last few decades. There's nothing in many areas, even at night when medium wavelengths work best. That’s why the radios from our childhood stay unused and collect dust.
Today, we will make a small medium-wave radio transmitter that can help you check and configure AM radio receivers and listen to music through them if you connect an MP3 player or smartphone.
The power of this transmitter is 0.0005 watts, and the range is about 3 feet, so you won't disturb your neighbors or need a license for it.   The transmitter is AMT-MW207 and was developed by an enthusiast under the nickname "Radio Lover". The circuit is proven to work perfectly and stays unchanged, but the layout of the PCBs can be different. For example, here is the newest and perhaps most nice-looking version 1.3 revision 2, dated September 15, 2022.

I've assembled ver. 1.2 rev. 7. It has a green board, no frequency scale, and the wavelength adjustment knob is located at the very bottom of the board. I consider these differences to be purely aesthetic. The transmission frequency can be viewed much more accurately on the screen of a separate frequency meter or oscilloscope.

Older versions are less convenient to attach the testing hook of the oscilloscope to, and they have no cutouts in the back of the PCB for winding up excess wire. The differences are generally insignificant; all versions of the transmitter work and sound the same.

The DIY kit was designed and kitted with passion: brass fittings, high-quality AA battery holders, and neat resistor value markings.
The potentiometer volume knob was not forgotten either; they also got me a good 3.5 mm TRS-TRS cable. In fact, this is an important detail. You sure can twist the variable resistor's shaft without a handle. Still, you won’t be able to connect a player or a laptop if there is no connecting cable. You won’t be able to try out a freshly assembled device, which will ruin the mood.

The transmitter circuit is simple yet elegant. Transistors Q1 and Q2 are a long-tailed pair, and Q3 is its current stabilizer.
A transistor current stabilizer is an emitter follower whose load is a resistor R6.
According to Ohm's law, the current through this resistor will be equal to the voltage across it divided by its resistance. The voltage at the emitter of a transistor connected to a circuit with a common collector is similar to the voltage at the base minus Vbe.
Vbe, the voltage between the base and the emitter for a particular transistor, is an almost constant value. Nothing is ideal, so Vbe actually depends on the temperature and base current, but these influences are tiny and can be ignored.
R3 and R4 together are a voltage divider. With a supply voltage of 6 volts, the current through this divider is 6V / (R3 + R4) = 6V / 59.2 kOhm = 101 µA. We neglect the base current of transistor Q3, which is connected in parallel with R4. I will explain why later.
The voltage at R4 is 101 µA * 8.2 kOhm = 828 mV. As Vbe = 0.63 V, resistor R6 gets the remaining 199 mV. Then, the current through it will be 60.3 µA.
The emitter current of transistor Q3 is the sum of its collector and base currents. The collector current is β times the base current, where β is the current gain coefficient of the transistor.
The average value of β for the 9011 transistor is 90. That is, the collector current is 60.3 µA * (β-1)/β = 60.3 µA * 89/90 = 59.63 µA.
The base current is 60.3 µA / β = 0.67 µA, less than 0.7% of the R3R4 divider current. Therefore, the base current can be neglected even in such a microampere case due to the fact that Q3 is connected as an emitter follower.
That is, it has a very high input impedance. It can even be calculated: Rin = Vin / Ib = 199 mV / 0.67 µA = 297 kOhm.
Even if our transistor has twice the current gain, β = 180, then the input resistance of such a stage with a common collector at an emitter current of 60 μA is twice as high and equals 594 kOhm.
So, the base current of Q3 is almost zero, and the collector current is almost equal to the emitter. The emitter follower has a high input impedance and can also serve as a voltage-to-current converter and a stable current generator.
This can be useful in many cases, for example, when powering LEDs. Or for generators of linearly varying voltage, their capacitors are charged with a stabilized current. Hence, the voltage across them increases linearly. In the era of cathode-ray oscilloscopes, such generators were used to deflect the beam horizontally.
In addition to the constant voltage from the divider R3R4, an audio signal is supplied to the base of transistor Q3. Identical resistors R1 and R2 mix stereo down to mono. Capacitors C1 and C2 let alternating current pass through and block direct current.
Potentiometer W regulates the amplitude of the signal. With the same voltage divider as R3R4, only the ratio of the resistances of the upper and lower branches can be changed by turning the knob.
So, transistors Q1 and Q2 form a differential amplifier. The total current of these two transistors, set by the current stabilizer on Q3 and modulated by the incoming audio signal, is redistributed between Q1 and Q2, depending on the voltage difference at their bases.
Collector Q1 is connected to the power supply positive terminal. Thus, the output of the differential amplifier is the collector of Q2, the inverting input is the base of Q2, and the non-inverting input is the base of Q1.
Resistors R7 and R8 set a constant bias for the bases of Q1 and Q2. Let's assume that the input impedance of each of the inputs of the differential amplifier is 100 kOhm.
Then, the current I1 will be twice as high as the current I2. After all, base Q2 is directly connected to the node between R5 and R7, and base Q1 base is connected through resistor R5 with a resistance equal to the input. That is, the base current, and therefore the collector current, for Q1 will be half as low.
We get a system of equations: I2 = I1 * 2; I1 + I2 = I3 = 60 µA.
The solution to the system of equations is I1 * 3 = 60 μA; I1 = 20 µA; I2 = 40 µA. These are precisely the reference current values that the author of the scheme mentioned in his explanations.
Older versions of the board, if you look closely, had jumpers for you to connect a multimeter as a microammeter and adjust the operation modes of transistors with trim potentiometers, which should be soldered in place of R3, R5, and R7.

However, judging by everyone's experience, these transmitters work perfectly with the included resistors and need no tweaking. Therefore, jumpers were removed from the new versions, but the holes for trim pots were left on the PCB.
The load of the differential amplifier is the LC resonant tank L1C4, and the output is connected to the non-inverting input through capacitor C3. The inverting input is grounded for alternating current by capacitor C5.
We have the Colpitts generator, which we've studied in the previous post! The only difference is that it is assembled not on one transistor but on a three-transistor differential amplifier.

C4 is a variable capacitor for adjusting the oscillation frequency, and L1 is a ferrite rod wound coil of the transmitting magnetic antenna.
The L2 coil connects an oscilloscope, frequency meter, or spectrum analyzer. You can also try connecting an external antenna to it to increase the transmission range. This won't help much because the operating currents of our transmitter are only tens of microamps, but it won't hurt either.

This transmitter sounds high-quality. Of course, you can clearly hear that this is an AM radio because this is indeed a real AM radio! The quality of FM transmission is much higher, which is one of the main reasons that it has replaced good old AM.
The sine wave on the oscilloscope screen looks nice at first glance. But if we look closely, we will see that the upper half-wave is slightly pointed, and the lower one is rounded and even a little flattened.

From an article about a homemade tube amplifier, we already know that such a waveform indicates a significant presence of the second harmonic and a small admixture of the third harmonic. For a powerful transmitter, this would be bad, but for a compact one, it is fine.

OneNETnews EXCLUSIVE: SR95 goes unexpectedly off-the-air due to Radio Broadcasting Issues in Dumaguete City

DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- Around last Sunday early morning (June 25th, 2023 -- Dumaguete local time), a local radio station DYSR-FM 95.1mhz's SR95: Sure Hits, ahead of this intersection in Sto. Niño Road in Purok Mauswagon corner Camp SEA Site, Brgy. Banilad, Dumaguete, Negros Oriental had been unexpectedly go off-the-air due to a both transmitter and electrical issue from the main source and most of its technical problems.
Right before the FM station signed on to start a broadcast day on radio under both formats of Contemporary Hit Radio and Top 40... The old transmitter and electricity alone isn't really working as unexpected until Wednesday morning before 6am (June 28th, 2023), also before a local morning news programme of Bantay Lungsod -- with former radio news anchor of "Tug-anan" via 91.7mhz DYGB-FM's Power91FM, current board chairperson of Perpetual Help Community Cooperative Inc. (PHCCi) and a current radio news anchor of this aforesaid radio station itself.
For those wondering about SR95, it's a local radio station whose owned and operated by the National Council of Churches in the Philippines (NCCP) per main headquarters in Quezon City, Manila. At first in the late-August 1950, the first local radio station started as DYSR-AM turns out be a combination of public radio broadcasting and a private university campus radio station for Silliman University in the 50s.
The AM radio station as operated with a frequency dial of 840kc (kilocycles) and also simulcast as a shortwave (SW) station of 6,055kc on the 49 meter band. It was later changed from 840kc to 891khz (kilohertz) in the early 80s up to 2006. Two FM radio brands to be renamed and debuted per partnership between the University of Mindanao Broadcasting Network (UMBN)'s Wild FM in 2005 and Quest Broadcasting Inc. (QBi)'s Killer Bee & Magic FM in 2007. And in the Q1 2014, the station reverted its branding back to SR95 with the expansion of religious programming, talk, news and information aside the CHR & Top 40 genres.

At present, our news team on foot went to the SR95 station for what is the actual cause of it... An assistant station manager of SR95 named Ed Flores Abella tells exclusively to OneNETnews in Tagalog dialect of how does it really happen for this unexpected issue: "Ang problema po, yung suplay ng NORECO II ay hindi stable. So na-apektahan yung una, tsini-tsek namin yung suplay ng NORECO II, hindi pa rin nila nag so-solb. Hanggang ngayon, working pa rin ilang araw na". Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative 2 (NORECO II) nearly fails to resolve and to be later approved & re-energized with SR95 station, as to be considered finding a solution about Fuse Links & Fuse Cutouts and needs to be investigated sooner within this week or more in the said area of Brgy. Banilad.
"Yung transmitter, na-apektado at temporaryong sinira na. So malaki na nga gastos namin. Yung mga parte talaga pati sa transmitter, sinisira ng NORECO II power. One of the cause sa power ng SR95. Still, nagto-trobolshoot yung NORECO hanggang ngayon. Hindi pa rin nila nag so-solb. Yan ang talagang matigas na sitwasyon sa kanyang elektrisidad. Hindi namin alam sa kanila. Kasi nasa kanila yung problema sa NORECO II. Wala sa amin", he added.
Inside the DYSR-FM station... One technician individual named Jesus Taborite said, the equipments and the like are working perfectly aside the transmitter itself. They were testing a good transformer, fuse links and other electric utilities ensuring if it's fully working or not. Taborite explained the aforementioned issue: "Regarding sa loob na estasyon ng SR95 sa mga equipments namin ay lahat gumagana na maayos. Ang problema lang yung sa linya ng NORECO II eh. Kaya, sino-solb pa nila. Ang transmitter sa radyo ay OK na, pero sa NORECO II... hindi po. Ewan ko kung ano ang dahilan yung nag fa-fluctuate o pabagu-bago sa kuryente".
NORECO II is the only cause of the problem alone, while SR95's transmitter is functional but partially a bit workaround to get it right. He was ended up temporarily as a low-power station in some areas of Negros Oriental, unless the Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) and National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) does not allow to broadcast a pirate radio station with or without a full consent of its local FM ownership license to be later publicly enacted and legalized by the Philippine law.

The management and staff of SR95 apologize for Dumagueteños and Negrosanon listeners to ensuring correct the fault in a radio broadcasting industry, despite the aforementioned radio broadcasting issues themselves: "Para sa mga solid listeners sa DYSR-FM, patuloy pa namin ina-ayos ino-obserbaran. So wag lang kayong mawala ng pagasa sa SR95 gayunpaman, we will go on-air kami sa lalong madaling panahon kung ang power line sa NORECO II ay magpapatuloy sa normal na katayuan ng pagpapatakbo. Okay naman yung transmitter natin. Wala na itong problema", according to Abella.
"Sa mga listeners namin, tuloy pa rin tayo. Ang problema doon eh kaysa NORECO II naman. Hindi naman sa amin. Yung radio equipment sa SR95 ay gumagana ng maayos. Umaasa kami at nananalangin, maso-solb dito ang NORECO II", also said with Taborite.
SR95 always committed every day to serve and delivering the latest news, information, religious programming, paid blocktimers and today's best music for more years to come. Once its locally re-energized from NORECO II upon approval within the soonest, the listeners themselves were all to be tuned in perfectly with a good stuff from a main transmitter and electrical source.
The FM station of SR95 in Dumaguete City is an affiliated firm of both NCCP and QBi.

GSC really didn’t use the best Project DIVA modules for their 1/7th scale series. like the only good choices to me were Orange Blossom and Temptation, the rest were sub-par picks and Rin & Len really deserved better than the Stylish Energy ones 😭 Receiver/Transmitter would’ve been great. 011022 . TUESDAY . 8:58PM
today is sobrang busy ko sa work. Payroll at yung incident report letter na ngyare sa Cavite na need ko ipasa sa HR ang ginawa ko. Langya inabot ako ng whole day hindi ko pa nagagawa yung weekly report ng boss ko. Kaya bahala na bukas may transmittal pa ko.
Pero ayun buti nalang at may pa free lunch kanina at meryenda sa office dahil birthday ni ate shey. May pa libre pang starbucks yan kanina hehe, late na nga kame nakabalik tapos na break time sa haba ng pila. Medyo na energized ako dun sa kape e. Kaya until now hyper ko pa rin.
Tapos ewan ko ba bat sinasama ako parati sa girls photo haha!
