here's to trans men with anger issues. here's to trans men who are loud or raise their voices without realizing, neurodivergent or otherwise. here's to trans men who get irritable or frustrated or impatient easily due to trauma, neurodivergence, mental illness, pain, or other disabilities, here's to trans men who can't take care of themselves, here's to trans men who can't stuff down their emotions, here's to trans men with violent intrusive thoughts, here's to trans men who snap without meaning to, here's to paranoid and psychotic trans men who become scared or hostile toward others without causing violence due to delusions and hallucinations, here's to trans men who struggle with homicidal ideation
here's to trans men who are bitter and angry and don't want to get better, here's to trans men who have tried to recover from trauma and have failed, here's to trans men who can't access proper mental health care because they aren't taken seriously, here's to trans men with mental health care trauma, here's to trans men who cope poorly with anger and hit inanimate objects and do "scary" things that don't actually hurt other people physically or emotionally.
here's to trans men with complicated mental health issues who need help but get insulted and called mean, rude, scary, shitty, assholes, dicks, jackasses and abusers. here's to trans men being human, too, and struggling with things just like anyone else. that doesn't make us evil, we are heavily traumatized by cisheteronormative society. here's to trans men who don't hurt other people but get told they do because people won't let men struggle with their emotions. i love you. you're loved. keep your chin up.

Transmasc Tumblr, I need you.
I dunno if there's a rallying cry or some kind of ancient incantation I gotta bust out, but HEY TRANSMASC FOLKS AND TRANS MEN, EXCUSE ME PLEASE. I'm a trans dude with a small-ish YouTube channel working on a video about the erasure of transmasculinity, particularly in the wake of the recent debacle involving a former YouTuber who I won't mention directly but his name rhymes with Sames Jomerton. His plagiarism of Alexander Avila and Jes Tom, and outright misgendering of ND Stevenson got me fired up about how often we're overlooked or merely an asterisk in queer discourse, so much so that even those of us in this community need to search high and low for resources on our history and health care. So I'd like to hear from you. If you're comfortable, I'd love for anyone who's part of this community (and not a transmedicalist) to message me directly with something you wish more people knew about us, or an anecdote about one of your experiences (happy, sad, angering, your call.) A paragraph or two is ideal--for longer posts, I will likely not be able to include them in their entirety, but I will quote them where I can. If you'd like to be involved, please let me know if you'd prefer to be anonymous or to have your name dropped and socials linked; I'm hoping for the latter given that the idea is to shout out more artists and creators, but I want to give the anons space to be heard, too. You can also help by recommending transmasc YouTubers (especially essayists) who could use more eyes! I'm looking for more creators to enjoy personally, and I'd love to shout them out if it would help them. If y'all could reblog this, I'd be very appreciative, and if you read all of this, dog bless you. 💙 And an extra special thanks to @socksonat3am for being such a great friend with exceptional meme game. He blindsided me with a compliment so now I'm getting him back because he needs to know how talented and delightful and magical he is. Take that, Socks. Get absolutely treasured.

Q: Lesbians who are also men/boys, what is your reason for that?
A: Multigender and/or genderfluid, transmasc nonbinary lesbian, trans man who still ids as lesbian, butch/gnc/pnc/tomboy lesbian who likes to be called man/boy, cusper (on the cusp/between being trans and cis gnc), system whose identities overlap/collective identity, multiple of these, other

A small way you can support transmasc people.
Another day, another post in a transmasc space lamenting the lack of changes from testosterone. I see this a lot as a trans man who accesses these spaces, and I don't think it gets talked about enough. The idea that testosterone guarantees changes and will lead to (for lack of a better description) passing is a myth that pops up far too often. This not only sets a lot of people up for disappointment or feeling like something is "wrong" with them because of the ways their bodies respond to hormones, it also erases huge numbers of transmasc people who do not pass for whatever reason. The reason trans men and transmasculine non-binary people are less visible is not because the majority of us are stealth; it's because a lot of people are out there being misgendered and erased. Misconceptions like this one about T contribute to that. One way you can be more supportive to transmasculine people as a trans sibling or cis accomplice is to not feed this pervasive idea of the invisible army of stealth transmasc people; not everyone under that umbrella has access to T or wants to go on it, and of those who do, it is simply not true that every person will experience all the desired changes and/or be gendered correctly in their day-to-day. If you've ever caught yourself thinking or spreading this myth, please take some time to ask where it came from, and make a point of not pushing it further. Testosterone works differently for everyone, it is not a magical guarantee of any specific experience even when it is a desired and accessible option. Shared in good faith as something to remember while we smash the cisstem together. Let's do away with this misconception so more of our siblings and brothers feel like they have a place here where they can be seen.

Dragon Ball has helped me be comfortable with my gender.
Frieza & Whis look like they wear lipstick, yet they're still men. Plus Frieza, Cell, Buu, and Janemba looked like they were wearing nail polish and they still look masculine/are men.
Vegeta, despite how tough he is, has moments where he cried (& that's valid) yet he is still seen as masculine.
Goku is kind & caring but ignorant as hell (He can't help it, I love him still.) yet he is still seen as masculine.
Goku Black has a form in which his hair turn pink yet he is still seen as masculine!
Toriyama said no toxic masculinity!
