dc needs to have some kind of writing work shop with trans women, woc, and sa survivor authors cos they have so many writers that use rape and assault s fan service and it pisses me off to no end.

the latest panel i've seen with blue beetle mid-fight with bleez where she's on top of him and jayme loudly tells the stag he's not aroused. shes obs disgusted and in the next page the stag forms a literal penis underneath her.

and this with bleeze, the woman who's origin story is being violently gang raped and murdering her rapists when she recieves a red lantern ring.

not to mention the many other characters who've been assaulted from poison ivy to nightwing.

nightwing has been raped by multiple different women in the comics with no consequences for the women.

both drugged and assaulted by tarantula

the only thing time they mention anything later is when mirage shape shifts into starfire and tells dick in front of her it wasn't actually starfire. and yall know starfire's reaction? she -verbatim- calls dick a slut.

poison ivy gets abused and then these writers have the audacity to not only make her mind control only work through kissing (??) and on top of that in multiple iterations becomes a serial rapist with the men she's assaulted aka mind controlled.

one of the many, many men being batman who's been raped repeatedly in canon by talia, ivy, and im sure others. and they never delve into the repercussions it would have on him as a male rape survivor. the only time the writers reference it is for jokes like damian telling bruce to get better taste in woman and to "cover your drink."

as as for trans women:

the harley quinn the animated series comic had an entiresubplot regarding peach's missing sister miia- a black trans woman who was trafficked (whos only picture u see of her was pre-transition?)

and they make it a point to say "black trans woman," repeatedly only to make a joke out of it in the end with black mask calling himself an "ally"

i'm just constantly dissapointed with dc, i'll be so excited for a new run or film and then shit like this happens and just ruins it for me it makes me so sad

I went to my psychiatrist

Originally I just wanted a refill for my antidepressants but because it was my first refill I had to talk to the psychiatrist, talk about how it impacts me etc. My previous one wasn't there so I go to this other lady (very nice and always trying to make you feel comfortable). I use this chance to talk about my desire to remove my reproductive organs.

In my country the law says you can't remove healthy organs unless it's for medical reasons.

To sum up what she said... She said the way I describes how I feel about those organs isn't very cis of me and she happens to be the gender specialist there (which I did not know) and if I really do want to start transitioning into something I'm comfortable with, I can see her and she'll help me.

I know I'm a baby but I started crying especially because she made it clear that she also supports NB folks. She sounds like she genuinely knows what she's doing and doesn't just want to slap a label on you (which is something I heard a lot about/worried me) so we'll have to work on trauma and differentiating between what's just trauma and what's dysphoria.

I will probably check myself into a mental hospital at some point this year too. For trauma stuff.

I'm really happy and don't have anyone to talk to so thanks for reading my rant.

Also on twitter a cis man assumed my gender was the opposite of the gender I was assigned at birth which made me euphoric (I do have my picture as profile pic there)

having to meticulously check if your meds/vitamins have calories

being afraid to eat

eating way too much and hurting. your throat, your stomach, your mouth, your lips, fuck even your teeth

the hair. you get thin hair all over your body

the risk of dying randomly from cardiac arrest

your hair. falling our of your head, getting thin and breaking everywhere

always being tired. you can never get enough sleep.

the fucking guilt. so much fucking guilt.

never having clothes that fit. whether you shrank too much, binged too much, are bloated, or bought clothes way too small as a goal to reach. They don't fucking fit.

The breakdowns. Always wondering why you aren't *x* enough.

The secrets. Hiding everything. How much you did/didn't eat, how much you weigh, how much you lost, how much you gained

the blackouts. you lose all control and BINGE.

rotting teeth, mouth sores, scarred up esophagus. all from binging.

joint pain.

loose skin.

dysmorphia.

never feeling like you're doing good enough.

So fun right?

Right?

Get out while you still can.

It isn't fun. It isn't being light and dainty and skinny. It's torture and pain.
