Voltron Season 1 Thoughts (Review)

Season 1 was a very good introduction to the series. We learned a bit of each character’s base personality and went into depth with some of them such as Pidge and Allura and even bits and pieces of Shiro’s past. We got to see Voltron’s power and the Galra’s cruelty and how seeing that cruelty changed Hunk.

Shay was being oppressed and when he realised he could do something about that, Hunk grew. He stopped being a coward and scared and changed. That was amazing character development on his part.

Pidge also had some good character development this season, going from pushing everyone away to find her family to coming to realise that the team was her family. Hunk and Pidge were probably the two characters who evolved the most in this season and I love that.

I don’t support the trans Pidge headcanon. I believe Pidge was happy to be a girl but made the same decision Mulan did where she chose to pose as a boy to help her family. But she seemed miserable cutting her hair and struggled to let the others in close until she told them she was a girl. I am not super pro- LGBTQ+ but I am okay with same sex couples as long as its not turned into a fetish. However, I am anti-transgenderism. I don’t like it. No hate for the people but it makes me uncomfortable.

Hunk/Shay is adorable though. I support it. I will read it. I write it too. Keith started off interesting and I love his bad boy traits, so sexy and it made him very cool but he also feels very one-note this season. Still sexy, but I don’t like his personality very much. Shiro and Allura do really shine for me this season too though. Shiro is very strong – struggling with PTSD, which was written awesome but still being there for everyone and trying his best as leader.

And Allura, omg girl, my heart. You lost your planet, your people, your family and you’re still fighting for the greater good. Like that is true kindness. The way she helped the Balmera omg and her speech brought tears to my eyes. She definitely is my favourite this season, followed by Shiro.

Lance annoyed me. Like he’s not bad, I know but this season wasn’t really good for him or for Keith, but he’s too shallow for me to like him just yet. The parade stuff and constant flirting annoyed me a lot. I think the only time I liked him was when he defended Pidge in the first episode, like covered her mouth and all to keep her from getting in trouble. Weirdly enough, the two moments I liked him were when he was defending Pidge, once from Iverson and once from Sendak. I think I’ve always been a Plance shipper lol but never admitted it because it felt like that one odd ship.

Overall, I feel this season was a good introduction to the series but it’s not one I rewatch constantly as a whole season. Oh forgot to mention, I also liked the little snippets we got of Shiro and Keith’s brotherly bond. Keith rescuing Shiro from quarantine was probably his best moment to me in this series as well as protecting him when he had a PTSD attack. So yeah, that was sweet!

Lance: bisexual - trans man - he/him

Keith: gay - trans man - he/him

Pidge: aroace - non-binary or genderfluid I can't pick - any pronouns? Either that or mirror pronouns

Hunk: panromantic asexual - cis man - he/him

Shiro: gay (obviously) - cis man - he/they

I have many thoughts about sexuality/gender hcs for literally any aliens because of how labels transfer over etc etc also in my heart Altea didnt have the emphasis on labels and other junk like we do. So any queer hcs for aliens are just the closest to what I think theyd be, and if they're altean theyre unlabelled but I used what I'd choose if I had to assign labels based on what fits best

Allura - pansexual - demigirl - she/her

Coran - bisexual/pansexual - transmasc - he/him

Lotor <3: gay - transmasc/demiboy - he/they/it

Acxa: lesbian - non-binary - she/her

Veronica - bisexual - cis woman - she/her

okay. i am so desperately obsessed with this fic, i was obsessed with it the first time i read it and im obsessed with it now. and yes i know i did all hiuythn fics last week and i promise i wont this week. BUT i have a set of comments associated with this fic bc it is Just That Good and so i shall present them to u now:

- literally the funniest characterization of shiro i’ve ever read. this shiro is gay and tired. this shiro unironically and frequently says “move. i’m gay” and gets away with it at the garrison. this shiro has been through A Lot and just wants to fucking retire - allura here is so so funny she’s such a badass. she’s giving “i love shiny things! like the shine of your spilled blood on the floor if you say that dumb shit one more fucking time!!” we stan a queen. - coran is a Mood. this man is desperately trying to reign in four teenagers and two young adults and just wants to go to bed and also he cares for them all so so much. ultimate dad - pidge is Mischief Personified. she is a brat and i adore her. she’s here to cause problems and by god she will succeed - hunk is so done it’s so fucking funny. “that’s literally impossible.” he’s a genius and he knows it, he’s glad to call you out on your bullshit. he doesn’t even TRY to pretend he can keep a secret and/or handle drama god what a mood - don’t even get me started on klance!! they’re so funny omg. the banter is EXQUISITE. lance and keith adore each other so much and they’re so badass. literally the coolest power couple fight scenes ever to be made, i do adore. gosh. and the ROMANCE they are so devoted to each other i’m emotional - honourable mention of lance’s legs and keith’a Soft Squishy Feelings that are mentioned so often that they’re characters. iconic. all in all, the best way to describe this series is Gay and Tired. i love it and i’m sad to see it end. i will be rereading it an embarrassing number of times. infinity/10

okay so I know I said I’d have a post for Monday but stuff happened (nothing bad don’t worry) so this is late and also not what I had planned. but it’s something at least while I’m working on drawing and trying to actually finish a drawing for once in my life

anyways without further ado: more Voltron dragon prince AU shenanigans because that is still very much a thing that I want to do and am going to at least have some “official” art done for at some point in the year.

I only have an idea for Shiro’s design right now, but I have so much more to talk about in this post.

Shiro doesn’t really have a direct parallel to anyone in the dragon prince, but he’s still important (obviously) and he still goes missing. I can’t really say too much about him because of story and plot reasons but there is gonna be Cool Stuff happening. I decided to make him a moon shadow elf because it makes the most sense, and also I just thought he would look cool as one. He’s still engaged to Adam, and he still goes missing with Sam and Matt Holt.

That’s all I can say about Shiro for now, but I still have other characters to talk about.

Adam is going to be playing an active role in this because I want him to and also he won’t fucking die because I think he should live. As a treat.

In this AU, Adam is human. A huge part of his whole deal is that he will be looking for a Shiro and Keith alone because they’re the two most important people in his life and he wants to find them.

Also, Adam and Shiro’s relationship is secret, only Keith knows that they’re together and that’s a huge motivation as to why Adam goes searching for them alone since he’s kinda trapped since he can’t exactly go out and get help finding Shiro and Keith. Anyways, that’s enough about those two, let’s get on to everyone else I’m talking about today

I’m just going to make a quick bullet point list of characters I don’t have much to say on in this post but I still wanna say what their deal is in the AU:

Coran is going to be Opeli (the like, advisor in TDP). He’s the royal adviser, but he also helped raised Lance and Allura. I don’t really have much to say about him other than he will still very much be himself and I love him

Matt is a scholar or something of that type along with his father, and they meet Shiro while doing research and end up befriending him (thank you Aeon for this suggestion your brain is great)

Romelle is going to be the equivalent of Ellis (the kid with the wolf). Also trans Romelle because I am a trans Romelle truther

Veronica is going to be this AUs Amaya but not going to be exactly like her (also, please let me know if you guys think that I should make Veronica deaf like Amaya since I would like having a deaf character in this but idk if it should be her or another side character that would most likely be an OC)

Krolia is going to be missing/MIA

The BoM are going to be the moonshadow elf assassins, but without the whole knowledge or death deal since. I just don’t want them to have that and it’s my AU I get to do what I want

Honerva is dead lol

Zarkon will be Viren

Ezor, Zethrid, Narti and Axca are still Lotor’s Lesbians and I have Several Ideas for them

I still have a lot that I wanna do, like learn how to draw dragons because Whoops I made an AU that has dragons and a lot of them but I don’t know how to draw them, and I have a lot to talk about when it comes to certain decisions I made for this, like Zarkon and Honerva and some things I have in mind for them. This is probably going to be a project that will take a long time to even officially get started because I don’t know how to write but I so desperately want to tell the story I have in mind and have it be enjoyable.

I’ll make another post soon with more in-depth descriptions and ideas for Zarkon, along with something I like to call the “kill-die scale” and also some ideas I am still struggling with

"Morning everybody," Lance strolled into the dining room. He wore his blue lion slippers, dark blue sweatpants, and black half-tank binder.

"Morning Lance," everyone called out.

Keith stared at his goo. Breathing around the jealousy that always spiked when he saw Lance being...well himself. It sometimes vibe checks Keith when he remembers that somehow. He just happened to be in the universe where three out of the five paladins of Voltron were trans.

Lance came out first, though, it would be hard to come out since he was never in the closet. The first night they landed on Arus, and met Coran and Allura he was already asking about a replacement for his T-shot.

Pidge was next. Revealing their own nonbinary identity after the fight with Sendek.

Which just left Keith in the closet. Shiro and Coran were the only ones that knew. Shiro since he was his mentor before Kerberos and basically his older brother at this rate. And Coran so he could get his own T-shot.

Neither of them cared, and neither of them saw him any different. So why couldn't he tell the others? He wasn't ashamed of his identity in any way shape or form. But he wasn't like Lance. Nonchalant. Uncaring if people saw him in his binder or prepping for his injection. He was outspoken about when he came to terms with his identity, how he told his family, and how he chose his name.

Deep down, Keith wanted to be like that. But, it went against everything he had built for himself. He was Keith, the lone wolf, king of isolation. He kept his secrets under lock and key.

"Whatcha thinking about, Mullet?" Lance's face filled his vision, his head was leaning back on the edge of the couch.

"Nothing."

"Sureeee," Lance stepped over the back of the couch and flopped down next to him. "You had that look on your face."

Keith scoffed, "what look?"

Lance morphed his face into an over-the-top serious face. "I'm Keith and I'm thinking about flying my lion and punching Sendek."

"Oh shut up." He playfully shoved Lance.

Lance laughed in response, the room falling into a comfortable quiet. Lance hummed under his breath and Keith stole a glance at him.

Blue met dark purple and the skin around Lance's eyes crinkled as he smiled. "Like what you're seeing?"

"As if," Keith forced himself to look at his boots, praying his face wasn't as red as it felt.

Lance hummed again, letting his head roll back against the cushion. "Would you ever kiss me?"

Keith choked on nothing, "what?!"

Lance whistled, his eyes looking at the ceiling. "Damn, way to hurt a guy's feelings."

"I-uh-shit sorry. It was just random."

"Yeah...I guess it was." Lance adjusted his head so he could look at the other boy. "Would you?"

Keith could feel his heart in his throat. His brain was split. Be honest or lie. He silently weighed the pros and cons.

Pros:

-He did like Lance. More than he cared to admit

-He did want to kiss him...a lot.

-They were in the middle of a war, tomorrow could be their last day so why hide them?

Cons:

-What if this was a weird prank?

"Uh...Yeah, I would." His skin felt on fire. "Sorry if that's weird to say."

Lance laughed, "why are you saying sorry? I asked you first!"

Keith shrugged, his face burning.

"Have you thought about it?"

Keith didn't respond.

Lance sighed, "I've thought about kissing you."

"You're lying."

"I'm not!"

Keith groaned, "you can't think about kissing me! You don't even know me."

Lancer rolled his eyes, "I know plenty about you. Got some deep dark secret? Like you need to sleep upside down or something?"

"No...How did you even come up with that?"

Lance shrugged, "trying to see if you're a vampire."

"Yes, I'm a vampire."

"Knew it."

Silence. And while Keith thrived in it, Lance became antsy in it. "I share a secret you share one?"

"This some kind of game?"

"Sure."

"Okay," Lance threw his head side to side. Making sure no one was eavesdropping. He dropped his voice into a whisper, "I've never kissed anyone before."

Keith raised his right eyebrow. "Really?" He said with a hint of uncertainty.

Lance gave a stern nod, "cross my heart and hope to die."

"Oh...I mean I've never kissed anyone either so join the club."

"Realy?!" Lance's voice jumped a couple of octaves. "But every girl at the Garrison was falling at your feet."

Keith shrugged, "I only like guys."

Lance clicked his tongue, "touche," he raised his eyebrows, silently begging to be told the deep dark secret. "Soooooo...?"

Keith wrapped his arms around his core. "I'm trans."

Lance blinked, "wait. Like you're a girl? Why didn't you tell anyone?!"

Keith laughed, throwing his head back at the motion. "No, I'm a dude. Like...a trans guy."

Lance froze, his mind clearly trying to put the pieces together.

Keith snapped his fingers in front of his ocean eyes, "Earth to Lance?"

"YOU'RE TRANS?!" He screamed, jumping where he sat slightly. "ohmygod the team has two trans guys what are the odds?"

"Shhhhh," Keith pushed his index finger against the other boy's lips. "I don't want to tell the entire castle yet."

Lance nodded, moving his head back away from his finger. "Does anyone else know? I swear to god I won't tell a soul."

"Just Shiro and Coran. And you now."

Lance beamed, grinning ear to ear. "Thanks for telling me."

Lance did keep his secret but eventually, Keith told the rest of the team. They obviously didn't care or judge him. The most stressful news to deliver to the team was after he and Lance started dating.

5 headcanons for Girlfailure!Jiro au please

jiro LOVES horror movies, the more gorey and grotesque the better<3 shes got a soft spot for practical effects and body horror specifically

pretty much the whole team suspected jiro might not cis from early on and when she finally came out everyone unanimously pretended to be very surprised

her eyesight is absolute shit(shes got astigmatism now! it was alluras first time yknow creating a whole functioning human body from scratch and so a lot of the less crucial details stray from being a perfect copy of shiro) but she was really opposed to wearing glasses bc it would make her even less indentical to shiro and thats Bad. eventually the headaches got to her tho and she caved in

jiro's love language is mimicry. if she looks up to/likes someone, she WILL try to copy their mannerisms and personality in one way or another(this behavior gets mixed reactions from ppl)(her favourite ppl to copy are allura and lance btw. and coran)(and shiro but i mean thats kinda a given bc of The Clone Situation)

keith and jiro refuse to maintain eye contact or a conversation longer than strictly nescessary for a VERY long time

(<- bonus lol) sometimes she forgets shes not a ghost anymore and this results in her either slamming into walls and furniture on accident or standing still in absolute silence and dozing off until someone snaps her out of it(when she was dead, she would often do this when she was bored, it was the closest thing to sleep she had)(ghosts cant sleep or fall uconcious)(yeah she was fully aware and concious 24/7 for months. it was TERRIBLE)

(<- bonus 2 bc why not?) her relationship with womanhood and gender and gender roles and the expectations of how women are 'supposed' to look and act is sooo complicated.. on one hand figuring out shes trans made her a lot happier and was a big step in finding out who she wanted to be, but also i feel like womanhood sometimes feels just as restictive as being shiro has- she is terrified of not being 'womanly enough', of somehow doing it wrong, and at the same time misses how easy being shiro seems compared to the horror and pain of being her own person. of couarse she loves being a woman tho, she finally feels like a person instead of a thing with a clearly defined purpose! but that doesnt mean some things arent hard to deal with and theres a lot of insecurity and doubt in the beginning

I was thinking:

You know , when pidge announced that she was a girl , everyone ( EXEPT Lance ) knew it ..

I thought about how everyone discovered it :

Shiro : knew it because he knew her father and brother.

Allura: knows bc the mice told her.

Coran: just knew it ( even if he referred to her with masculine pronounces ..)

Now Hunk and Keith !

My theory is that Hunk discovered while reading pidge's journal in ep1 season 1 .

She probably didn't wrote stuffs about her being a girl but stuffs related .

And he understood. He kept her secret for him and respected the fact that she wanted to be called as a boy ( he though she was trans ).

As for Keith , he had doubts. He first thought by her size and voice that she was a young boy ( around 12).. Then they had that bonding exercise where they were supposed to open their minds and everyone could see in each other's head. I feel like Keef was curious and just looked in her head and discovered her secret . ( I think that because he was the only one to tell Pidge to stop think of her "girlfrien". So he clearly saw what was going on in her hand )

Also pointing the fact that she complained about the fact that Hunk was looking in her head .

I think Keith also knew real quick that Matt had a lil sis. So he kinda guessed after all and learned that she wasn't freackin' 12 but in reality a 15 yo that would turn 16 soon ....

✨️ Sapphics in Space ✨️

Have some headcanons for this very specific AU that absolutely no one asked for:

All of their names are nicknames that they go by, none of these ladies use their actual names

Keith's name is Akira Kogane, but she started to be called Keith as a joke from the other firefighters in her dad's department, but it kinda just stuck and she secretly liked having a special nickname from the firefighters anyway, even if it was a traditionally male name

Shiro's name is Tatsuo Shirogane, but she and her family are originally from Japan and during kindergarten in America her classmates began to call her Shiro since her name was hard for them to pronounce

Lance's name is Alejandra McClain, but got her nickname from her family when she was younger and always wanted to play soldier or guard. Veronica was the first one to use it and then everyone else started using it, too, and Lance absolutely loved it

Hunk's name is Halia Garrett, and her nickname came from, well, almost everyone. She's always been curvy, but the added on muscles she has gave her her nickname in late middle school

Keith and Lance are adoptive sisters in this AU, where Keith joined the McClain family at 16 after being in foster care since she was 8. Originally, she was there temporarily, but the McClain's adopted her a few months after she'd been in their care

Their one-sided rivalry started in middle school but only got worse after Keith moved in, but settled down after she was adopted and the two actually became friends, but in a I'm-not-going-to-acknowledge-that-I-care-about-you-outloud-but-will-always-protect-you kinda way

Lance teeses Keith about her crush on Shiro, and Keith teeses Lance about her crush on Hunk, and this almost always ends with the closest inanimate object being hurled at each other

Pidge is also cis swapped in this and he and Coran are the only two men on the Castleship and Lord help them, they are terrified

Keith and Acxa are twins, with Acxa being older by about seven minutes. Keith never knew she had a sister, let alone a twin, until she was stranded on a space whale with her long lost mother

Thace and Ulaz are mates, and Regris is their kid. Regris is about five years older than Keith and Acxa, and is their only cousin, as Thace is Krolia's little brother

Kolivan and Antok are in a queer platonic relationship, as Antok is aroace and Kolivan is pan and polyamorus. Kolivan and Krolia end up together and very much in love, eventually getting married

Speaking of, Keith is a lesbian, Shiro is a lesbian, Lance is bi, and Hunk is pan

Hunk as always been a phenomenal baker, as baking is a science, but cooking was something she had to grow into as it's more of an art. With time, practice, and a lot of encouragement from her moms, she became a master chef by the time she was fourteen

The shell on Lance's bracelet was the last shell she grabbed from the beach before her family left Cuba when she was fourteen and moved to the United States for her father's work. She wears that bracelet all of the time, feeling a sense of peace whenever she touches the shell when she's anxious or depressed

Shiro has an older sister named Mayumi, and the two are very close. Their whole family is close, actually, and their parents support both girls when Mayumi comes out as trans and Shiro comes out as a lesbian

Hunk and Lance have been best friends since their freshman year of high school. The two get into a lot of mischief together thanks to Lance, but almost always avoid actually getting into trouble thanks to Hunk

Pidge joined their group when they entered the Garrison and his first thought was "These girls are gonna get me into so much trouble." His second thought was "Lance is crushing so hard, how does Hunk not know??"

Allura absolutely loves to have Girls Nights with the Paladins, where they all get together in her room and have a giant sleepover, complete with blanket forts, unhealthy snacks, teasing, and so much nail painting that Keith is pretty sure she's gotten high on more than one occasion

While Allura is fascinated by Keith and Lance's sisterly relationship, Shiro and Hunk are simply Tired Of The Bickering

Keith is 18; Shiro is 21; Lance is 17; Hunk is 17; Pidge is 16

Shiro and Keith have been best friends since Keith stole Shiro's car and the older bailed her out of Juvie. They got very close while at the Garrison, and Shiro gave Keith her dogtags before leaving for Kerberos. She carries them with her at the bottom of the bags on her hip. There was an unspoken understanding between them that they loved each other, that they wanted to always be together and they cared about each other more than anything, but the time was never right

Shiro and Keith finally start dating while in space after realizing that love doesn't wait for the right time and there's no time like the preasent to let yourself be happy, but Hunk and Lance don't start dating until they get home to Earth because they are, somehow, more awkward about their feelings than Shiro and Keith

Eventually Krolia and Kolivan have a son together and name him Yorak and Keith absolutely adores her baby brother and Shiro absolutely adores seeing Keith with a baby

❤️ Keith Agere Headcanons! ❤️

Keith is an age regressor, but no one really knows what his specific age range is. The others just know that typically, he regresses to be really little, often times 2- unless it's a rare occasion that he can tell them otherwise

Shiro is his main caregiver! Keith usually calls him either Dada or Daddy

Also Keith is aroace

And trans

Keith is really shy and embarrassed about his regression, and fears what the others will think of him for it, but they're all so patient, kind and understanding. It really doesn't take too long for them to love the fear right out of him

Shiro is very protective of Keith, even when he isn't regressed, so it takes him a while to let the others watch him on their own. It isn't that he doesn't trust them, he does, he just harbors a lot of guilt about the times he wasn't able to be there for Keith. Now he can't stand the thought of anything else happening to his little one and him not being there for him the second he needs him

Eventually Shiro gets to the point where he can let the others watch him, though. It takes a while, sure, but they get there. The team is really happy about it, wanting to spend some time with Keith when he's regressed, too, which Shiro thinks is very sweet and Keith thinks is very embarrassing

Everyone has A Thing that they usually do with Keith if they're watching him:

Hunk has the best baking helper ever, letting Keith pour pre-messured ingredients and stir whatever it is that they set out to make (usually cookies--Keith loves cookies). The little one doesn't even complain about the clean up, just happy to spend some time with Hunk making yummy treats to share

Lance is amazing at playing simple but fun baby games with Keith, keeping him happy and giggling for hours. Peek-a-boo is a favorite of Keith's, especially when Lance does silly faces and voices! Lance cuddles are also top tire

Pidge builds the best pillow forts for Keith and herself to burrow into, complete with tons of blankies, stuffies, fairy lights, snacks, story books, Keith's favorite pacifier, and Pidge's laptop open and ready for a movie or two after story time. 9 times out of 10, they end up found hours later, both sound asleep and curled up together

Allura was very new to the concept of age regression but quickly learned all about it. She sort of became a second caregiver for Keith, doing pretty much everything that Shiro does with him, from cuddling to feeding to bathing. It isn't unusual to find her working with a dozing Keith safe and sound in her arms while Shiro is off doing more hands on work or leading the others in training that Keith was simply too small to participate in

Coran is very much the storyteller that Keith had only dreamed of having before. He delights the baby with fascinating tales about his time in the Altean military, but making age appropriate for Keith, of course. He also happily fills Keith in on a lot of fun alien animal facts

Everyone keeps track of his binder time, making sure that he doesn't go over 8 hours a day--less after particularly difficult battles--and that he gets breaks from binding when he needs them

Somehow, someway, Keith has yet to slip during battle. But almost as soon as a battle is over, his headspace tends to come crashing in all at once, rather than being a gradual feeling that he sinks into like when it isn't brought on from fighting. It's in cases like this where he’s the most upset in his headspace and is in need of lot of love and support from the others

Keith is a very well behaved baby, which is kind of a surprise to, well, everyone. He's happy to fallow the rules that Shiro makes for him, and tries his very best to remember to use his manners. He even tries to use his words to tell the others how he's feeling, even if it's just basic words like sad, mad, icky, sleepy, etc

When he does manage to get into trouble, usually all it takes is a lecture from Shiro to set him straight, but on harder days, a time out is needed. Sometimes Keith feels really guilty after, but Shiro is always quick to reassure Keith that he's still a very good, very sweet little boy and that making a bad decision doesn't make him a bad person

Usually Keith is mostly non-verbal when he's feeling small. He tends to communicate using sounds and gestures and basic ASL. He and Shiro are learning it together to try to make communicating a bit easier

Shiro was able to find a purple stuffed animal at the space mall that looks almost like a hippopotamus--the only difference is that this creature has six legs instead of four. Keith falls in love with the gift immediately, carrying it with him every single place that he goes. It doesn't matter if he's playing, napping, eating, being changed, or having a bath: Hippo is right there by his side

God help them when Kosmo comes into the picture. It's pure chaos masked by delighted squeals and giggles, and the excited howls of a teleporting cosmic space wolf

Keith opens the door in his binder, thinking that it's Shiro but it's Lance who immediately starts freaking out at the glimpse of bare midriff at the bottom of Keith's binder. By glimpse, I mean that Keith immediately closed the door and put on a shirt.

So I wasn’t sure if you wanted me to continue on from the other two I wrote or do a stand alone. So I’m writing this as a stand alone.

This is based off something that happened to me once lol

Keith ran his hand through his hair, trying to brush out the tangles that formed during training.

There was a knock on his door and he made his way over to open it. Shiro said he was going to stop by after they cleaned up. They had been watching some Altean show together that they were both surprisingly intrigued by.

He opened the door, not really looking at the person on the other side; after all, he was expecting Shiro. Not Lance.

“I uh-sorry!” Lance stammered out and Keith quickly understood the position he was in. He was standing in baggy black sweatpants and his black half-tank binder.

Keith quickly slammed the door shut, grabbing the first shirt he touched in his closet.

He reopened the door after he slide it on, Lance still standing in the same spot. "...can I help you?" Keith was a bit surprised about how nonchalant he was. He hadn't told anyone on the team except Shiro, who knew before Kerberos, and Coran who helped him copy his testosterone prescription.

Maybe he was tired of hiding it, maybe he knew that the rest of the team wouldn't care; especially after Pidge came out.

Lance still looked like he saw a ghost or something terrible. "I uhhh.....sorry I don't mean to interrupt you changing or anything."

Keith blinked at him, "...okay?" He still didn't know what Lance wanted.

Lance looked at him a bit longer, clearly debating the next words he said.

Keith braced himself, preparing for the 'are you trans' question or some overwhelming support he didn't really need. He was confident in himself, he didn't need someone telling him he was a real man, even if they meant well.

"You wear a cropped undershirt? Is your jacket not enough?" Lance asked.

Keith felt his face scrunch up in confusion, that wasn't what he expected Lance to say. "What?"

"Your undershirt. It's seriously cropped? That's an interesting fashion choice."

"You're seriously judging my fashion choices?" Keith found himself playing along; pushing his confusion to the side.

"It's a weird choice!"

"What's going on?" Shiro appeared beside Lance, wearing his own comfortable clothes.

Lance looked at their leader, "Keith wears a cropped undershirt."

Shiro made his own face of confusion, sending Keith a panicked glance before looking back at Lance. "He does?"

"Yes! I just saw it, and then he put a shirt on. It's weird right?!" He looked at his leader with pleading eyes. Needing someone to side with him.

"We all have our different styles were prefer."

Lance rolled his eyes, "whatever."

"What did you need?" Keith finally spoke up.

"Oh...yeah so I was wondering..." he looked at Shiro. "You know, I'll catch you later. Have fun watching your sitcom!"

Keith and Shiro watched Lance bolt down the hallway, completely bypassing his own room.

“What did he want?” Shiro asked as he entered Keith’s room.

Keith let the door slide close, “I have no idea.”

Shiro chuckled slightly as he took his normal spot on Keith’s bed. “He thought your binder was a cropped undershirt.”

Keith chuckled some, “I would have been okay if he figured it out.”

Shiro nodded, “maybe he wanted to ask you on a date,” he wiggled his eyebrows at the other boy.

Keith threw a pillow at him, “shut up!”
