I had sudden inspiration to write a Javelia vs Ollie fic... So uh enjoy??

Javi sipped his hot chocolate as he looked through his papers for ideas on his next project before getting startled by the sound of books slamming onto the desk. He looked up to see Amelia in a distressed state where he hair was all over the place and her clothes wrinkled. “Amelia?” he asked with a concerned expression. “Are you alright?”

Amelia just groaned as she placed her on the desk. “Who knew relationships could be so exhausting?”

Javi tilted his head at Amelia. ‘She looks so… lifeless…’ he placed down his hot chocolate and got up then walked towards her direction. “They shouldn’t be exhausting though.” he leaned against her desk and crossed his arms.

Amelia looked up at Javi with a confused expression. “They shouldn’t? How so?”

“Relationships do have ups and downs but the most important thing is to have happiness.” Javi answered

“Happiness…” The word left Amelia’s lips with no emotion at all but a hint of resentment. “Well, not this time…” She got up and she grabbed her assignment for today then left the building.

Javi watched Amelia walk away with a worried expression but he couldn’t go console her as he was stuck inside for the day. He whipped out his phone and typed something in the search bar. ‘How to console a person who’s being abused.’

Amelia walked beside Ollie but she had no energy to give energy for the conversation.

“So that’s how that works.” Ollie said with excitement.

Amelia had completely zoned out as she was paying more attention to the park more than the topic Ollie had just finished talking about before something caught her eye. “Is that a ghost?!” she ran towards it.

“HEY! You didn’t say anything about my conversation!” he ran after her

She ignored what he said and turned the corner to only be met with disappointment as a magician was practicing his tricks.

Ollie had caught up and gasped for air before scolding Amelia. “You know ghosts don’t exist so stop running after something nonexistent.”

Amelia dropped her head and closed her eyes as tears threatened to fall. She wondered for a while of Ollie would change his ways and stop belittling her interests. ‘Is this what a relationship should be?’ she asked herself before she thought of what Javi said.

Ollie glared down at Amelia before asking. “Well? What do you have to say for yourself?”

She clenched her fists as she raised her head and started to yell at him. “I am breaking up with you!”

Ollie’s expression turned shocked for a moment before he quickly changed it to anger. “What the hell do you mean?! You cannot!”

Amelia crossed her arms and said with a stern voice trying not to break in front of him. “Yes, I can! I can’t keep going like this. You keep belittling my interests in the paranormal and even go far to stop my hobby and passion!”

Ollie gritted his teeth as he took a step forward. “Because they don’t exist!”

Amelia felt small when he took that step forward but kept her ground. “You refuse to understand! Do you know how much of your words hurt me?!”

Ollie hissed at Amelia’s remark before grabbing her arm digging his nails into her arm. “Because the truth hurts!”

Amelia groaned in pain and the tears started to form. “That’s not what truth is! That’s called bullying!” she slapped him with all her strength.

Ollie thought he had ground on this ‘argument’ but he was not expecting to be slapped which caused him to let go of Amelia and fall right on his back.

“When I needed to be loved all you did was become a jury and a judge! Always judging my passion with disgust and your so-called truth!” her tears started rolling down Amelia’s cheeks. “Javi is right! Relationships are supposed to be filled with passion and happiness!” she wiped her tears but more kept coming. “I can’t believe I fell for your lies!” she turned around and started running to god knows where. She whipped out her phone and texted Javi to meet her at their secret place.

Amelia dredged up the forest's rough hill as she wanted to be gone off the radar where no one can find her except for Javi. She pushed aside a bush and emerged from the other side where she ended up at a cliff as the sunset overlooked her job, the place she protects as a ranger but most importantly the place that feels like home because of a certain someone that is always there for her.

Javi ran towards the place as soon as he got the text from Amelia, dodging people as he goes before he arrived at the entrance of the forest. “Hold on, boss. I’ll be there soon.” he wiped the sweat off his forehead before he bolted into a run.

Amelia’s tears had not stopped since the argument with Ollie. She threw her purse down and stomped forward before screaming out into the open vast area.

Javi had arrived and spotted Amelia immediately before hearing her scream her frustrations out then walked towards her. “Nice scream. Let me join in too.” he stopped beside her and screamed as well.

Amelia was a bit surprised as she wasn’t expecting Javi to be here as soon as possible but she felt at ease with him around. She watched as Javi scream as the sunset wrapped around him making him look like the heaven sent down an angel in her time of need which caused her to slightly blush. ‘Wow… He’s so hot.’ she snapped out of it as she shook her head. ‘That was sudden!’ she thought.

Javi turned towards Amelia and gave her the warmest smile. “So you figured out what you want and what a relationship is?”

Amelia clutched the ends of her skirt as she liked that smile of his. “Yes! I know what I want and what a relationship is supposed to be.” she gently grabbed Javi’s sleeve. “This may sound irrational as I just broke up but I want to be your lover.” she drooped her head in embarrassment. “I always thought of you as a lover but Ollie fed me lies and manipulated me into being his girlfriend but I do want to start again with you!”

Javi is taken aback at what he is hearing and is stunned for a while, going silent.

Amelia bit her lips as anxiety fills her when Javi became silent in which she pulled her hand back.

Javi grabbed her hand as he noticed what was wrong and took a step forward with a soft expression. “I would love to be your lover but do you want to take things slow?”

Amelia’s expression turned to shock as she wasn’t expecting him to grab her hand. She looked up at Javi and a smile crept up on her lips as her heart filled with warmth. “I would love to take it slow. Thank you for looking out for me, Javi.”

Javi gazed down at Amelia with the biggest and goofiest smile on his face. “Of course, I’m glad you are going to be okay now” he lets go of her hand and sat down then patted the seat next to him before opening his arms, an invitation for a hug.

Amelia watched Javi before she happily sat next to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. “This is a nice fresh start.” she said with contentment as she placed her head on his chest.

Javi wraps his arms around Amelia and nuzzles his chin on her head. “I’ll always be at your pace whether slow or fast I will always be here for you, boss.”

"Earlier on the livestream, a lot of people were telling me about the toxic parents they have. And honestly, if you can, fucking cut those people out of your life. You don't need them. If they make your life miserable and make you hate yourself or make you do things you don't want to do, you don't have to put up with that. You don't deserve that."

100% deadass! There are a bunch of Odalias that exist in real life. All they do is make your life a living hell by guilt-tripping, controlling, gaslighting, manipulation, and abuse. Disown those toxic assholes for the betterment of your well-being and never speak to them again. As the saying goes, every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a child.

I wish there was a genre of well memes, quotes, reels, tiktoks etc with the POV of that friend who sees their closest friends, going through a toxic relationship, being with an incompatible person, who keeps on destroying their peace over and over again, and your friend keeps choosing them. I know we can cut people off etc, but I just don't want to lose that friend. But being with them is such a struggle because, their toxic cycle somehow involves you too, hurts you too, and the fine midland between breaking friendship or being too involved in their relationship doesn't exist, as that third person's existence has turned your friendship garden half barren.

ok so for those of you who don’t know, there’s this twitter account of a japanese local hero mascot named dentman who went viral recently due to this tweet

but yeah he saw the tweet. and his response went viral as well (which is how i found his account)

and he just has like. hourly posts reminding you to brush your teeth

oh and his rival? his name is mr. mutans. whenever dentman posts he makes a post of his own, ofc

Quickly declares you are their soulmate! And for some reason, you don't find it creepy. They tell you how much you they have in common with you. On the first few dates, you do most of the talking, and they just can't believe how perfect you are for them.

I'm not saying its impossible, however, if they are declaring you are their soulmate within the first week or two, that is probably a good sign that they are pretty toxic.
