Hazeltree Laketown is a quiet little place hidden in the Heart of Texas that few will ever stumble upon. The founding witches cast a spell upon this town in its infancy to protect themselves from their persecutors. So most who find this town will forget its existence and every memory attached to it when they drive away. That is unless, deep down, you need Hazel Town in a way you may have never known — if the memories you made here mean something to you, even when you don’t realize it. Maybe it's someone you met and fell in love with, an unexpected group of friends. Or it's you discovering you’re more yourself here than anywhere else. Events here, big and small, could have shaped you into who you always needed to be — for you, not anyone else.

But if you were born here, you will never forget this town, no matter how much you may want to. It will always have a place for you, like a loving mother you left behind for bigger, better things. Hazel Town will always be waiting for you.

This beautiful lakeside settlement is not without its dangers, however. Beasts of incomprehensible horror lurk in these woods. They’ll kill you where you stand if you aren’t careful. You’d be wise to steer clear of the ECRF, also. They don’t take too kindly towards citizens trespassing on government property, anyhow.

Don’t be discouraged by the small number of members. We’re a very new server. You can create a witch, vampire, cosmic entity, hybrid, human, or ghost. Character creation only has a few basic guidelines to abide by. So you can have fun with your imagination and creativity. Gain EXP from winning fights against other players, and have your choice of rewards!

We welcome sub-para, semi-literate, literate, and novella roleplayers. You don’t have to worry too much about word count and junk. Just give your scene partner enough to work with! We don’t have to submit a character within a set time limit, either. We know that everyone works at different paces!

This server is very LGBTQ+ friendly, and we do our best to keep a positive, judgment-free environment. Everyone here is pretty outgoing, and we seldom take ourselves seriously. So if you enjoy being silly now and again, this is the place for you!

BRADFORD SPRINGS, CO - founded in the late 1800s this small rustic mountain city is known for its tourism, the rocky mtn. national park, wildlife, farming, ranches, ski resorts, the stanley hotel, and hot springs. Tourists come from all over the world to take in the gorgeous views and participate in the wide variety of activities available. Visitors may not want to leave this fun filled city. Sure there’s some bad apples among the population and they have had to rebuild several times due to mother nature throwing floods, rock slides, and avalanches their way. At the end of the day, however, the citizens of this western town are just as strong as the mountains that surround them. They will always come together to help their community and each other in hard times. Their connections to each other and their home is what truly makes Bradford Springs a magical place.

a small town with a population of less than three thousand, nestled comfortably at the foot of the black mountains in north carolina, clydesferry has always been chock full of rumors and rot, the truth being censored to be more digestible and to protect the history of the land and the mountains. erected atop the converging ley lines that lead into a hellmouth at the heart of the mountains, the town had long since been a point where mortals, myths and magic collided, and the people of clydesferry protect the secrets of their town more fiercely than a bear protects her cubs, but with so much death plaguing the founding families since the early 2000s and with whispers of ghostly spectres being sighted, the town now plays host to federal law and ghost hunters alike all while the witches attempt to make peace with the disrupted energies that dwell within the mountain, yawning with hunger.

CONNECTION DESCRIPTION:

Trigger Warnings: Car accident, death.

Kaya was the first official member of the rock band Amethyst, formed in 1999 by student Harrison Morrey in Providence Peak, Colorado. Three other members joined the band in the span of two years, including Roman in 2000 and Elijah in 2001 — they all met through Harrison, with the exception of Kaya who was Harrison’s childhood friend. From their very first practice, they were all thick as thieves, spending almost every moment of free time that they had with one another to create music. Even after they all graduated, they didn’t grow apart; Elijah and Harrison wound up in their own apartment together, having grown closest over time, while Roman and Kaya decided to room together along with the third member, Antonio. Roman, along with practically every other member of the band (save for Elijah, who was secretly in love with Harrison) had eyes for Kaya, whereas Kaya only had eyes for Harrison. It was an interesting dynamic, between the five of them, but somehow it just worked. They got signed to a major label in 2006 and moved all the way to Los Angeles, California where they spent the next thirteen years touring and making music. However, in June of 2019, the band were en route to a venue when they all suffered from a severe car accident — Harrison, unfortunately, was the only one who didn’t survive. The band posted an official disbandment notice in December of that year and since that moment, none of them heard from Elijah (who cut contact and moved back to Colorado as soon as he could). Roman recently came back to Colorado for reasons of his own and had an unfortunate run in with Elijah! Aside from the Amethyst lore mentioned above, everything else about this connection is entirely UTP! Her full backstory, family, current occupation, reasoning for coming back to Providence Peak, possible other connections, etc etc! She could have never gotten the chance to be with Harrison officially, or she could have been in a steady relationship with him by the time he died. Similarly, she could have also known about Roman’s feelings for her (and chose to ignore it, or totally played into it), or she could have been completely oblivious! In terms of personality, I imagine her to have the girlboss vibe — know her worth, take no shit, be confident and passionate. She was very much determined to excel in the male-dominated industry. I have a meet the band page here if you needed more general info, but we’re both down to send musings and such for more inspo as well!
