Not a weird hobby, but possibly an unusual preference for taking pictures. I love hiking and take pictures. Most people will take pictures like these:

I do too, those are my pics from Tour du Mont Blanc.

But I really like taking pictures of small and hard to notice animals:

Are You Ready for Tour Du Mont Blanc Hike? Know More about the Trip

For avid outdoor enthusiasts, the Tour Du Mont Blanc (TMB) is one of the most iconic hikes in the world. Situated around the Mont Blanc mountain range in the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps, the Tour Du Mont Blanc hike boasts breath-taking and varied stretches of land, seemingly untouched by man. In addition to the individual trails, the Mount Blanc hiking tour also offers access to several high-altitude refuge villages located around the circumference of Mont Blanc. These refugees are comfortable and stocked with sleeping quarters, warm meals, and unique views of the surrounding mountain beauty.

The Tour Du Mont Blanc is suitable for hikers of all skill levels and ages. Although the hike requires physical fitness and endurance, there are ample rest spots along the route and some of the mountain passes are considered quite easier compared to others. Owing to the ease of access and relatively short distance, the TMB can be a good introduction for novice hikers, especially one looking for a new and thrilling challenge.

MAIS QUI ES-TU, SOPHIA LAUKLI ?

En un mot : une machine. Sophia Laukli est née en 2000, juste après l’énorme bug avec les ordinateurs qui prennent feu et les océans qui se déchaînent. Sophia est alors arrivée sur cette terre avec une furieuse envie de s’exploser le cœur. Pour ce grand projet, elle choisit le ski de fond. Elle martyrise ses guiboles, progresse très vite et intègre l’équipe US de ski de fond. Les premières étapes de coupe du monde et cette question : « et si je faisais des courses de trail l’été ? ». Plutôt une bonne idée, Sophia.

2023 :

• Victoire au Marathon du Mont-Blanc en 4h12

• Victoire à Sierre-Zinal en 2h53

• Victoire de la montée de Pikes Peak en 2h35

Puis, Sophia a ressorti les skis. Ce dimanche, elle a juste respiré trois fois pour remporter l’étouffante montée de l’Alpe Cermis, dernière étape du Tour de Ski. 13,5% de pente moyenne en ski de fond pendant 3 bornes, ça calme. Peut-être que Sophia pourrait également exceller en VTT, en pédalo en forme de canard ou même en bâton sauteur. L’histoire nous le dira.

💛Vive le Tour💛

This year I will break down to you how TOUR DE FRANCE cycling tournament works.

As of the current year 2023, Le Tour had its 110th edition. Riders will have a total of 3 405,6 kilometers from Bilbao to Paris!

Last month, The Grand Départ took place in the autonomous region of the Basque Country after Saint-Sébastien’s in 1992.

After three stages on the western side of the Pyrenees, the rest of the Tour will take place in France. It will visit 6 regions and 23 departments.

STAGES

There will be 21 stages:

8 flat stages

4 hilly stages

8 mountain stages with

4 summit finishes (Cauterets-Cambasque, Puy de Dôme, Grand Colombier and Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc)

1 individual time trial

2 rest days

MOUNTAINS

The race will visit all five of France’s mountain massifs. They are, in the order they occur, the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, the Jura, the Alps and the Vosges.

There are three new climbs: the Côte de Vivero (Basque Country), the Col de la Croix Rosier (Massif Central) and the Col du Feu (Alps).

The Puy de Dôme, which hasn’t appeared on the Tour route since 1988, will be making an eagerly awaited return after its 35-year absence.

The Col de la Loze (2,304m) will be the “roof” of the Tour de France 2023

TIME TRIAL

There will be just a single individual test on the programme of the 110th edition. It will be held in the Alps, at altitude and in steep terrain, on the Passy > Combloux 16th stage, and over a distance of 22,4 km.

FOUR JERSEYS FOR FOUR MEN

For the first time since 2018, the four distinctive jerseys of the Tour de France went to four different riders.

Every stage of the 2023 edition shaped the battles that put Jonas Vingegaard in yellow, Tadej Pogačar in white —for the very last time—, Jasper Philipsen in green, and Giulio Ciccone in the polka dots.

PRIZE MONEY

Team Jumbo-Visma, The Netherlands

A total of 2,3 million euros will be awarded to the teams and riders including € 500,000 to the final winner of the overall individual classification.

J9▪️Ebergötzen - Göttingen

En arrivant à Ebergötzen à l’hôtel, la première chose que nous avions faite était de mettre la télé pour voir le Tour de France, un petit rituel idéal pour la sieste post-marche. Et comme d’habitude, je passais 50 chaînes du bouquet satellite avant de trouver la bonne. Et donc ce matin, au moment de partir, je replace la télécommande là où elle était posée hier, sur une feuille de papier imprimée. Et que vois-je sur la feuille de papier ? Écrit en douze langues ? « Veuillez NE PAS changer de chaîne de télévision, merci ». Ah bon ? Mince alors. En plus, si c'est écrit en douze langues, c’est que ça doit être important ! Oups ! Il ne me reste plus qu’à trouver une petite ritournelle à siffloter, l’air détaché, en allant régler notre chambre. Tiens, pourquoi pas du Barbara ?

Mais revenons aux fondamentaux : l’étape du jour (pas comme ces feignants de cyclistes qui ont déjà fini). Je dirais qu’elle était bien sympa avec un chemin qui monte tranquillement dans une large vallée agricole puis une bonne grimpette pour rejoindre la vaste forêt qui nous mènera sans discontinuer jusqu’à Göttingen. Ah Göttingen ! Bien sûr, ce n'est pas la Seine, ce n'est pas le bois de Vincennes, mais c'est bien joli tout de même, à Göttingen !

Le soir, nous retrouvons Klaus, un vieux collègue et ami (grand fan de Barbara et dont un lointain ancêtre qui travaillait le métal dans le massif du Harz fit fortune en fabriquant des boîtes de conserve pour les armées de Napoléon), qui, entre un repas dans les caves du Altes Rathaus (l’hôtel de ville) et un verre de vin blanc dans les jardins du théâtre, nous fera visiter cette vieille ville qui doit à son exceptionnelle université sa renommée et à ses étudiants indisciplinés moultes anecdotes (le saviez-vous ? Il y avait à Göttingen deux polices, une pour les étudiants et une pour les habitants, sans pouvoir de l’une sur la juridiction de l’autre).

Lundi 13 : TOUT BASCULE

- le chemin passe de la Haute-Savoie à la Savoie,

- le GR du tour du mont-blanc continue à l'Est vers l'Italie et le GR 5 continue vers le sud,

- j'entre dans le Beaufortain,

- et et et…. Je commence la deuxième semaine 😁

Passage par le col de la croix du bonhomme, pas loin de 2500, petit déjeuner au refuge.

Au passage, le tumulus des dames, la légende veut qu'une dame et sa servante ont été enterrées ici, toutes deux mortes dans une tempête, maintenant, pour conjurer le mauvais sort, le randonneur y jette sa pierre.

Passage par la crête des gîtes qui est la photo d'accueil de ce blog.

Déjeuner au gîte de Plan Mya, repéré de longue date, les propriétaires sont… producteurs d'escargots l'hiver et tiennent le refuge l'été. Hasard ou coïncidence ! C'est leur premier jour d'ouverture ! 🤤🤸

Ce soir, bivouac avant le Col du Bresson que je passerai demain avant Landry.
